We're looking at twenty three through twentyseven. There's no more shout outs.
I'm gona go ahead and read thisword, all right. I'm gonna go

(05:46):
ahead and get into this word ofGod talking about Jesus calms the storm.
All right, so we're looking atMatthew eight, chapter twenty three, I
mean chapter eight, verse twenty threethrough twenty seven. All right, says
Then he got into the boat andhis disciples followed him. Without warning,
A furious storm came up on thelake, so that the waves swept over

(06:12):
the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him,
saying, Lord, save us,we're going to drown. He replied,
you of little faith, why areyou so afraid? Then he got up
and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The
men were amazed and asked, whatkind of man is this? Even the

(06:35):
winds and the waves obey him.All right, Dearly Father, Lord,
we just thank you Lord for anotherday. That was a promise to us.
God. Thank you for allowing usto wake up with the well in
our right mind. God, withthe operations of our limbs. God,
God's able to just be able tosay thank you for another day. God,
God, we thank you for yourson Jesus that you sent that died
on the cross for our sins.God, that we may be able to

(06:56):
have salvation. We thank you forthe gift of salvation. God. God,
we repent right now. We askthat you will give us forgiveness God
for any sins transcateggressions that we havecommitted against you or our neighbors. God,
those that we've committed knowing and unknowingly. Lord, we ask for your
forgiveness right now. Lord. Lord, I actually just continue to touch our
hearts. God, continue to pruneus. God, continue to take those
things away from us that are notlike you. God. When you search

(07:19):
our hearts, anything that is notlike you, God, reveal that to
us. God open our eyes sothat we may see God, see ourselves
away that you see us. God, help us to walk this walk God,
to go through this sanctification process thatyou're taking us through, God,
so that we may be able tobe without blemish. God. God,
thank you for giving us your word, God and giving us the ability to

(07:40):
read your word, to understand yourword. Give us wisdom. And God's
understanding is we continue to grow inyou. Lord. But I think for
everybody that's gonna come on this showtonight, or even those that are gonna
writch this and the replay. God, I asked that you let something be
said that will be a help andnot a hindrance to your people, God,
something that will encourage their hearts andhelp them to run on God,
to see what the end is gonnabe God, to know that with you

(08:01):
all things are possible. God,that you will never leave, so you
will never forsake God. God.We just put it all in your hands.
Lord, and we just thank youright now for what you're doing and
what you're gonna do. And Jesusname prayer and ask all things Amen.
Amen, Amen, all right, all right, So did anybody come in?
All right? Got the glass?Hey girl? You doing? Happy

(08:22):
Tuesday? Hey you wrong, blend, Thank you so much between and again
again I appreciate you. Happy Tuesday. Listen y'all taxing people and let them
know that we are on and weare talking about how Jesus calmed the storm.
Listen. I know everybody knows thatthat perilble that lesson, that that
experience, that the the type ofswent through with Jesus on the boat.

(08:45):
And we all go through storms inlife. Some of us are going through
a storm right now. If you'renot ashamed and you know that God is
with you in the midst of it. Can you type in there, I'm
going through a storm or you putgoing through a storm, because it's good
for us to have like minded peopleto know that there's others. We're not
alone in this, in this battle, in this Christian walk. We have
other people that are out here withus that are going through that are having

(09:07):
trials and tribulations. For some thathave come out of the storm, some
that's getting ready to go into astorm, some that are in the middle
of a storm right now. Andso if you would like to share,
and it also helps us be ableto pray for one another when we see
that that you're going through a storm. So if you are want to and
you desire to put on there I'mgoing through a storm, I will say

(09:28):
it for you for to be thefirst one to say, because I can't
type it, but I am goingthrough a storm. But I'm all right,
I'm all right in the middle ofthis storm. I am all right.
Anybody on there that is going througha storm, anybody else on here
can say that they're going you're goingthrough a storm, or if you're not,

(09:50):
if you just got out of thestorm, so are if you're coming
out, say I'm coming out orI can't. I made it out.
Overcomer, give me some interaction. What do you worry? Were you at
in life with storms? Are youjust coming out of a storm or can
you see a storm look like it'sbrewing. I'm trying to come at ay

(10:20):
man, that's what I'm talking about. You on your way out, sins,
you on your way out of thestorm. So when we're looking at
this scripture, we're looking at thistext. Okay, we're gonna look at
each part individually. So first itsays that then he got in the boat
and his disciples followed him. I'mgoing through a storm. Thank you,

(10:41):
cud serename for sharing that. We'regonna make sure I'll add you to my
prayer list. Everybody that's going througha storm, I'm gonna write your name
down because I'm gonna add you tomy prayer list. I'm gonna be praying
for you on your behalf. Overin Mark, where it's also talking about

(11:05):
the same account, Markus giving hisaccount for what happened during that period,
it says that the day when eveningcame, he said to his disciples,
let us go over to the otherside. Okay, So God is telling
Jesus saying, hey, let's go. That's why they were on the boat.
They didn't they're not They're just notout doing anything really nearly doing their

(11:26):
own thing. They're on the boatbecause they were following Jesus over in loop
when it's talking about it, hesays, let's go over to the other
side of the lake. So oneday Jesus said to his disciples, let's
go over to the other side ofthe lake. So we know that Jesus
has given instruction here on moving locations. Right, So these men were following

(11:48):
God. They were disciples of Christ. So they were doing what God has
instructed them to do. Right. How many of us are doing what God
has instructed us to do and feellike we're in the middle of a storm,
right, We're going where God hasdirected us to go. Right,
I feel that way. I feellike that I fast and pray before I

(12:09):
move and do things. And Godhas led me to the point of where
I am right now. So inthe midst of what I feel like I'm
going through right now, I believethat it's in my obedience and following Christ
that I am in the middle ofthis storm. Right. And so as
they were following Christ. So that'sthe first thing we got to make sure
we're doing. We got to makesure we are following Christ. Some storms

(12:30):
we bring up on ourselves, andit's not because we're following Christ's lead or
his instructions, right, but whenwe're following his lead, we can know
that we're gonna have safety in themiddle of that storm. Right now,
if you after in the middle ofa storm by yourself and you're doing God
told you go right, and youdon't win left, you might end up
like Jonah in the well of amess. Right, But we know they

(12:54):
regardless when you belong to Christ,He's always with us. He said,
He'll never leave us, He'll neverforsake us, all right, it said
the Stiples follow Jesus, and withoutwarning, a furious storm came up on
the lake. In the how lifeis without warning. It's like you be
going out along and then in mindingyour own business and taking carry yours up

(13:15):
and without warning of a furious stormcan arise in your life. Can I
get any witnesses? Can anybody attestto that you everything's looked like it's going
great, Like, oh yeah,I'm living a good life. I'm living
my best life. Right we wewe think we but problems are waiting on

(13:37):
us on every side. Problems canoccur in every area of our lives.
It could be with our health. It could be with our finances. It
could be with your offspring, withyour children, It could be with your
spouse, with relationship. It couldbe on your job, with your coworkers,
or with your boss. Right, problems can occur out of no where.

(14:00):
The storm just comes without any warning. If it's this Marie, thank
you so much for tuning in.Hey Regina, I thank you so much
for joining and love. I appreciateyou. But in life, these problems
just come ab out of nowhere. We weren't expecting it. Hey d d
hay Sis, thank you for tuningin. And I know a lot of

(14:22):
people think that when they get inlife to Christ and then all they problem's
gonna go away, like they don'thave any problems. No, that's probably
when you have the most problems. This Christian life. It may be filled
with more stormy weather. Being calmseased, right, because we know that
the devil he is priding like alion, looking for who he may devour.

(14:43):
Right, we're gonna have bad thingsthat are gonna happen in life.
Over In John sixteen thirty three,Jesus said, I have told you these
things so that you so that inme you may have peace. In this
world, you will have trouble, but take heart, have overcome the world.
He's already let you know you're gonnahave trouble. So if you haven't

(15:05):
had any trouble, just keep livingbecause trouble is coming, right. And
if you just got out of sometrouble, keep living because trouble is gonna
come again. Missus Lindsley, thankyou so much for tuning in good evening.
So when we look at this wordokay, so it says that without
warning, a furious storm came upon the lake so that the waves swept

(15:28):
over the boat, Listen, that'ssome serious trouble that you're in when the
waves. I don't know if alot of you people are why. I'm
a water person, so I havesome friends with boats. I've been out
on the boat where the storm wascoming and that boat got the rocking and
shaking, and that water starts comingover and on the boat I was on,
the water was barely coming over thetip. But baby, I was
praying to speaking in tongues, Honey, I was praying in tongues because I

(15:52):
didn't know what was gonna happen, and it was scary, and we were
driving trying to get out of thisstorm and its boat and those waves,
I mean, those waves were barelyhitting the boat, but it felt like
so much turbulingce it was a veryscary situation that I felt like I was
in it. Like I said, the water was barely tipping over that boat.
But here in the Bible, whenit describes what the type of storm

(16:12):
they were in, they it say'sthat twenty feet waves. Can you think
about waves that are hitting at twentyfeet? Said? It was covering the
entire boat, and the boat wastaking on water as to where they thought
they were going to sink. Theywere fearful for their lives. Right.
We have professional fishermen on this boat, so it's not like they haven't been
in storms or weather. The storm, but they panicked, so we can

(16:33):
imagine what type of storm that hadto be that they were panicking in it.
But in the midst of their panickingand these waves overtaking this boat,
it's as what Jesus was sleeping,But Jesus was sleeping. The boat's fitting
up with water, the waves crashing, that mean the boat is really dipping
and rocking. And Jesus was asleep. And when you think about sleep,

(16:57):
what do you think about peace?Right? When my most when I'm at
my most peaceful state of mind,I'm sleeping right, And so we're thinking
about the peace that Jesus in hewas asleep while they were in the middle
of the storm. So what hesay over in John, he says,
take heart that in me you mayhave peace. So in Jesus, when

(17:21):
we're in Jesus, we could havethat same type of peace that Jesus had
when he was sleeping in the middleof the storm. Situations are gonna come.
Storms are gonna seem like they areovertaking you in your life twenty that
it can feel like twenty foot wavesare coming over you on both sides,
crashing in from every every every whichway. But we don't have to panic.

(17:44):
If we only would do is whathas been we've seen right here half
peace. The peace was on theboat, yes, ma'am. But the
disciples were panicking. They were panicking. They didn't realize the peace that they
had on the and so whether thethe What did the disciples do when they
started panicking. What it says isthat Jesus sleep. The disciples went and

(18:07):
woke him up, saying, Lordsave us. We're going to drown.
And I believe over in Luke, want to see over I know it in
Mark and Mark the disciples said tohim. They walked home and said,
teacher, don't you care if wedrown? Right? Sometimes when you're going
through so much in life, yougot so much, so many burdens on

(18:29):
you, burdens down, and it'ssaying, Lord, I feel like,
do do Jesus care? God?Do you care what I'm going through?
Do you see? Do you doyou feel do you care about what your
child is going through? It mayseem like that Jesus don't care. But
all we have to do is callon him. The dicis have to do
is call on him. They said, Lord, save us, And what

(18:52):
Jesus do. He immediately went intoaction. When you're in the middle of
your storm and you're and your worldis crumbling down, and we might be
like those disciples, we might painit for an instance, but we have
to remember the call on the nameof Jesus, we ask a Lord save
us? And then what he say? He replied, you of little faith?

(19:17):
Why are you so afraid? Sois that your problem? You're in
the midst of a storm. Whereis your faith? Ye, of little
faith? Where's your faith in God? When you think about all of the
things that He's brought you through, all of the times where it felt like

(19:37):
the storm was overtaking you, andyou can look back and see that Jesus
he brought you through it right. So if he's done that before, he
will do it again. That shouldbe your reassurance. It should be building
your faith in him, knowing that, Hey, I've been in a tough
situation before and God showed up.The disciples had witnessed all of the miracles
Jesus did, but they still theywere in disbelief. They said, well,

(20:02):
what man is this? They cancontrol the winds and the ways,
even the wind and the waves obey, but it starts with our faith.
When we're calling on Jesus, wegotta have faith. Where is your faith
when all hell is breaking loose inyour household? Where is your faith when
when you didn't get the job,or you didn't get the job, promotion,

(20:26):
that you felt like you should havegot you was overlooked. Where is
your faith when your bills are dueand the money is not what it's supposed
to be, and you're trying tofigure out robbing Peter to pay Paul,
and how I'm gonna pay my rent? And then my life bill do,
and my water bill do, andmy car not do, and my car
insurance and you have all these billsthat are stacked up on you. Where

(20:47):
is your faith? Hey, ain'tmarian? When when God has promised you
a spouse and you've been celibate andin waiting for almost a decade, Where
is your faith? If you havea child that's out in the streets selling
drugs or strung out on drugs andyou're panicking, where is your faith?

(21:15):
We have to have faith, Godsaid, Jesus said, where is your
faith? That's how he said itover in Louke when he was talking to
him. Where is your faith? Why are you so afraid? So?
I want to encourage you guys ontonight, those of you when you're caught
in the storms of life. Itcould be easy to think that God has

(21:37):
lost control, but we have toremember it that we are at the we're
not at the mercy of the storm. We're not at the mercy of the
powerful waves. But the reality ofthe situation is is that God is sovereign
and he is always in control. We have to have faith and trust God
for what we are praying for.We have to understand that what happened according

(22:00):
to his will, amen according tohis will, according to his timing.
Right, nothing catches him by surprise. When Jesus will sleep on that boat,
he already knew the storm was coming. He already knew that he was
gonna pay it. None of thosethings caught him by surprise. When we're
going through a storm in life, nothing that we're going through catches God by

(22:21):
surprise. It's not like he's saying, oh, I didn't know Lyric was
gonna be going through that. Healready knew. He's already been preparing me,
right, He's been preparing you thoselittle things that he's done to strengthen
your faith. When he when youthought he wasn't gonna make a way,
and then he made it away whenhe thought he wasn't gonna show up,

(22:41):
but he showed up right on time. When he's strengthening your faith, so
that you will know. You haveall of these accounts to be able to
know that He's he'll do it forme, because He's done it so many
times before. So remember that Godis in control. We are Kingdom peace
people, and so God has preparedus to be more like our king,

(23:03):
to be able to be sleep,to have rest in the middle of the
storm. We don't have to reactlike everybody is around us. We can
have rest in the middle of thestorm. We know, with these elections
coming up, and I mean, you know, everything just seems like it's
going so crazy. Faith Lord,I trust you. Amen. You have
to trust in Him, right,And God knows that. People say all

(23:26):
the time, like God knows myheart. God knows my heart. God
knows your heart. He knows ifyou truly have faith or like my guest
said that was on her last week, but I guess that he said,
you can't have faith faith, right. We can't be around her acting like
we have the faith, but wedon't really have that faith in God.
God knows if we have faith inHim or not. And we know that
the Bible and Hebrews it says without faith, it is impossible to please

(23:48):
God. We must have the faith, all right. So, no matter
what's going on in your life,no matter if you're having a health crisis,
no matter if you're having a financialor economic crisis, no matter if
you're having a mid life crisis,be having a relationship crisis, no matter
what it is, no matter whatthe crisis may be, we have to

(24:14):
know who we're in the boat with. Who's in your boat? It's peace
in your boat? Is Jesus inyour boat? You have to activate your
faith and remember who's in the boat. Type of that. Let me know
who y'all. Who are your boat? Who are your boat? Your husband
and your boat, your kids inyour boat, your best friend in your

(24:34):
boat, Jesus and your boat?Who in your boat? Jesus is in
my boat. And when we understandwho God truly is, that he controls
the winds and the waves, thathe controls the storms that are in nature,
and the storms that are in yourlife, the storms of your trouble

(24:56):
heart. When we know that Godis in control, then we'll be able
to find peace, be able tofind rest in the middle of our storm.
Don't discount the power of God.That's right, Jesus is in my
boat. God is in my boat. That's right, Miss Lindsey. We
have to have him in the boat. We gotta have Jesus in our boat.

(25:18):
And then our testimony will come fromour ability to be able to remain
come in the middle of life stormsand as we rest through it, it
will be a testimony of our faith. Hey, Rosha, thank you so
much for tuning in. And thatwill be the testament of our faith.
That when when everybody, when weall hell bring loose and everybody panicking and

(25:40):
everybody going crazy like this, somethingthat might that might be happening real soon
in this twenty twenty five, ifthings start looking real crazy and everybody panicking
and going crazy, we don't haveto do that. We can rest in
the middle of all of the chaosand all the people just saying, oh,
you know this is going to bea dictatorship under Trump and or you

(26:03):
know Biden is see now that youknow, people say all kinds of different
things. But in the midst ofall of that, God's people. We
don't have to worry. Now.He gives us wisdom on how to handle
things and how to be And Iencourage you to vote. We need to
vote. Vote please all right, and seek God for wisdom. Even in

(26:29):
your voting. Ask God to giveyou wisdom, to reveal truth to you,
to lead you and guide you anddirect you in the way that you
should go. Even in the vote, you're voting right, But just know
that no matter how it happened,no matter how it turns out, no
matter what the results are, Godis in control. Remember that Trump does

(26:56):
not have complete control, Biden doesnot have complete control. Jesus is the
only the only man with all powerin his hands. There is safety in
the arms of Jesus. You betterThat's where you better be. In the

(27:17):
arms of Jesus. That's where weneed to be, because that is where
safety is. Under the blood, under the blood. May she pleading the
blood of Jesus over you and yourfamily, your household, and get under
the blood, because that's where weneed to be. And these times,
these days that we're living in,you better be under the blood. Well.

(27:40):
I know Karasher and her mama Karen, they used to sing a song
the safest place in the whole wildworld is in the will of God.
So do that. Make sure thatyou get in the will of God.
Start seeking his face, praying, talking to him and knowing that he is.
You'll never leave you, and he'llnever forsake you. He is with

(28:02):
you. Only God, only God, Oh, God is the only God,
and only God is in control, all right, So make sure that
you keep your hand in his hand. We told you last week this life
is but a vapor. It's gonejust like that. But it matters how
we live it as far as wherewe're going to spend eternity. And this

(28:27):
little bit of time here does notcompare to eternity. Think about that when
you're making choices and when we're doingthis, life does not compared to where
we're going to spend eternity. Right, even thinking about the thousand your ragin,
I mean, well, we're notgonna get into all of that.
But this little time that we havehere is really not equivalent to very much.

(28:52):
And so I would encourage you toput first things first. Do not
start for your self treasures here onearth right where moths and things can eat
it, devours, thieves can breakin and steal it, beset your Please
vote for the democracy. Please votefor democracy, is what Melanie said.

(29:15):
And when you vote no, thatGod is in control. Amen. That
is the bottom line that I wantyou to remember if you don't take nothing
else from what I said today.Who is in your boat? And if
Jesus in your boat, you canhave peace in the midst of it all.
You can have rest and rest assuredthat God is sovereign and he is

(29:38):
in control. All right, andwhen we see Jesus it'll be amen,
Amen, a sweet and smile ofSavior or angry judge. You can you
determine how you want to sing youall right? All right? Set your
affections on things above. Amen. That's what we need to be doing.
Kingdom work. Hey, coach James, thank you so much. Betweening we

(30:00):
have to be about our father's business. Time is of essence. You know.
People play around and all the timeand they think they got all the
time in the world to get thingsright. Tomorrow's my promise to you.
When you lay you might not evenget to lay down tonight, right,
if you're traveling or anything, youdon't know if you're gonna makedown tonight.
And if you do get to laydown tonight, you do not know if
you're gonna wake up tomorrow. Soyou have to make sure that you are

(30:27):
living life as to where you wantto spend eternity. Think about that when
you're doing your daily living. AmI living according to where I want to
spend eternity? Because everybody wants tothink that everybody going to heaven. But
if you saw that Tyler Perry, that neew Tyler Perry movie, The Voice

(30:48):
in the Black. It's a crazymovie. But when it started off with
that preacher was saying, is everybodydon't make it into heaven. We would
like to believe that, but thatis just not truth. And so you
need to make sure that you knowwhere you're going. That needs to be
your main priority, that you knowwhere you're going. And it's not about

(31:11):
your deeds in what you're doing right, it's about your faith. You believe
in your heart that confiders your mouth, that God is raised from the dead.
You have to believe in it's accordingto your faith. By grace,
we are saved, right, butfaith without works is dead. So that
means when I have my faith,I'm going to work towards that faith.

(31:33):
What is that make sure I'm goingthrough the purification and sectification process. I'm
fasting and praying, allowing the Lordto do the work in me. That's
right. We were weather the thormsthat's right. God is in control.
We don't have to fear. Wedo not have to act in fear.
Those of us who are God's children, no matter what the situation is going
to be for the United States ofAmerica, we do not have to respond

(31:56):
in fear. We we remain calmand know that God is in control.
Everybody talking about heaven ain't going there. Heaven. Remember that song? Yeah,
I remember that song. I rememberthat song. Everybody that's talking about
heaven is not going there. Andso you need to make sure that you

(32:19):
are in the number that you aremaking sure that you have repented of your
sins. And what does mean Repentdoesn't mean to say I'm sorry and keep
on continuing in that same way.Repenting is having a godly sorrow, really
being truthfully sorry from your heart, and then turning from those same wicked ways.
Not don't continue to do that thingthat you're repenting of and those strongholds

(32:43):
that are in your life that havetaken root. You may have to fast
and pray, having an accountability partner, somebody that you can pray with and
talk with you to help you toovercome that, because God wants you to
overcome that it is his desire thatnone would perish. And if you're willing,
he is willing. And if you'rewilling, God is healing. And

(33:07):
what they say, if you willing, God is healing, He's healing.

(37:51):
is all right? How do youdo it? I've had better days,
but I can't complain. Man.Yeah, do you feel like you're in
the middle of a storm. Yeah, I could have chimed in, I'm
in the middle of a storm.I called you today in kind of a

(38:14):
panic because on last Wednesday night,my husband and I were coming from Fallbrook
Church and our choir, Aaron Fullerand New Movement. We sung at the
summer concert, and on the wayhome from the concert, my husband and
I had a near head on collisionand it just I just haven't been feeling

(38:38):
my best. But it could havebeen much worse than what it was.
It just seems like the Lord justdispatched an angel. I know he did
dispatched an angel and saved our livesand there were no fatalities, no one
lost consciousness. And yeah, sowe just got a few big bruises and

(39:01):
I'm a little out of sorts. So thank you for wearing your hat tonight.
Yes, listen, we're gonna representit. We're gonna represent Thank you
for representing. Yeah, yes, thank you for for come to it,
coming on the middle of the battlethat you're fighting right now. I thought

(39:21):
it was just such a you know, I thought it was really great,
just the lesson for today and youknow, you having to pretty much experience
that you're in the middle of astorm, but realize that you know,
God is still with us, Heis still in control. Like you said,
it could have went another way.It couldn't, Ye what, God
has spared your life and just gaveyou another testimony. You already have the

(39:44):
testimony. He is giving you anothertestimony just in the midst of what's happening
right now. He really did hereally did, you know, he knew
we what we came up with. His date many months ago, you know,
he said July sixteenth, and thatthe next day was July seventeenth,

(40:04):
my husband and I would be ourforty second wedding anniversary. And I was
like, oh, what a goodtime to you know, have like a
pre you know, uh yeah, yeah, some time, you know,
before our wedding anniversary and then wego and celebrate. But you know,
God knew already. He knew aheadof time what this day would look like.
He knew I wouldn't be all rockedout, you know with my grade.

(40:29):
Yes, hey, Shea, Isaw that you came in, Sheila.
I don't want to not acknowledge you, but yes, God already knew
so back in March, because that'swhen we planned for you to come on
on today. It was back inMarch March. And like you said,
you had no idea that you weregoing to have a near death experience just

(40:50):
a week before. You had noidea, I knew, But God knew
you were going to still be aroundhere to be able to be in this
moment on testimony to day to sharethe goodness the Lord and the devil trying
to stop it, He said,he don't want you, which whatever you're
going to say today, whatever powerfulstatement that's gonna come out of your mouth

(41:10):
that's going to help somebody tonight, the devil did not want it to happen.
Yes, I believe that. Ibelieve that. But God is in
control and we have victory. Amen. Yes, I believe that. I
have this wonderful, wonderful book here, pretty Black, that you have written.
I have not gotten a chance tofinish this book, but I did

(41:34):
get a chance to get off intoit pretty good. I mean, it's
just a wonderful, wonderful read andit shares a lot of your testimony in
this book, even given all ofthe background I didn't know. I was
born and raised Church of God inChrist myself, and so I just reading
the book. A lot of thingsI can relate to what you were saying,

(41:54):
and it was just amazing. Sogo ahead and share what you want
to share with the listeners. ForYeah, I had to kind of go
backwards to go forward. You know, I've been writing the book since as
early as two thousand and three, and uh, just I would just be

(42:17):
processing things throughout my life. Youknow, I was married. Sometimes I
would feel stifled, I would feelfrustrated, confused about my feelings and how
I was feeling about things that Ihad gone through as a child. And
thank God for a husband that wasvery patient with me and did his best

(42:42):
to help me process it and inmy in my own time, and let
me talk when I wanted to talk, and when I didn't want to talk,
you know, I didn't didn't haveto, and so I would just
resort to writing. And so thewriting. Eventually we kind of figured out
that at some point, we believethat God wants you to share, and

(43:07):
I didn't want to share because Ididn't want to harm his ministry in any
way, because he's a pastor,he's a minister. And you know,
of course, when a first ladybegins to talk and tell, you know,
some of the things that she's gonethrough, sometimes you know, it's
it's not always well received. Andand you know, we thought that you

(43:32):
were the prim and proper or.We we you know, they they people
have preconceived notions about you. Andthen some people already know your story and
they've already had preconceived notions about you. So the Lord just told me,
whether they know your story, whetherthey don't know your story, you tell

(43:55):
the story and you use it tohelp someone, and so I just decided
to just to go back to thebeginning as far as I can remember,
and just put the pieces together soit could help me before I tried to
help someone else. Amen. Amen, So who do you think what audience

(44:16):
is your target audience here? Whodo you think this book would be most
impactful for helping even though it canhelp everybody, but you, who is
your intended or you know like youhave a burning passion to help this group?
Well, because the book is kindof written to that little girl in

(44:39):
me, to that six year oldme, I would like to write it
to that six year old, thatfive year old, that eight year old,
that nine year old, whoever thatlittle girl is that experienced fatherhood abandonment,

(45:00):
which is where my testimony uh startsgoing awry. And and so I
had some issues of fatherhood abandonment wheremy biological father and my mother divorced while
I was living in Alabama with mypaternal grandparents, and so it was very

(45:27):
detrimental for me because I was veryclose to my grandfather, my my biological
father's dad. I was very closeto him and my grandmother there in Aniston,
Alabama is very stable home, verystable environment, very loving, and

(45:47):
to leave that type of environment whenmy mother and father divorced, and my
mother came for us to you know, get myself and my siblings and to
bring us back home because she kindof feared, well, if I don't
go get them now, then hismother may want to raise them and just
kind of keep them, not tokeep us away from from her, but

(46:14):
you know, out of any youknow, out of any type of herd
or harmful way, but just youknow, just because we would have bonded
with our grandparents by then, andso she she wanted to bring us back
home, bring me back home, because she was fearful that, of course
I wouldn't know her. And soI did. I came back home,

(46:36):
and so I write a chapter inthe book that says, where's my daddy?
And so I come back home lookingfor a type of relationship that I
had with my grandfather. Yeah.So then you talk about maybe some of
you know, I talk about sharingyour experience, but what would you say

(47:00):
to be able to help people whohaven't gone through experiences of some of the
things that you experience with molestation orany of those things that you want to
share, uh with the audience.Well, sometimes I I it's okay,

(47:22):
yeah, but the Lord leads.Yeah. Sometimes you have to pause and
kind of, you know, feelit. When it's easy to go throughout
your day and not feel it.Sometimes it's you know, when you're when
you have to teach a lesson, when you have to go and sing,
when you have to sing, singby yourself, when you're singing, your

(47:45):
singing with your choir, when you'readministrating at the church, it's easy to
just continue. But when you haveto stop and and and really feel it.
You see it in sometimes a littlegirl or a young a little boys.

(48:09):
You just see it on their face. You see the void, you
see the emptiness, and you seeit in the attention seeking, which is
what I did. I wanted theattention, I wanted the love of a
father, and I asked my Iasked my mom to remarry. And that's

(48:36):
I would say the hardest part aboutmy stories, because it's difficult to talk
really talk about the whole story. But you know, this this part of
it, because it's you know,a really sensitive matter with you know,
with my family sometimes and you know, some people you know knew about it,

(49:00):
and then others pretended they didn't knowabout it, and then others had
no knowledge whatsoever, and it's newknowledge to them, and it's hurtful to
them, and and and I tryto be as delicate and respectful of my

(49:22):
my family. Yeah, yeah, that's definitely understandable. I can definitely relate
to that. So, so wegot about ten more minutes here. So
what what what aspect would you likefor us to move into? So,

(49:43):
so, the the thing that Ialways like to talk about in each interview
is just the importance of that thatthat basic importance of a father daughter relationship
when the those relationships are not establishedand they're not healthy, not just that

(50:07):
you have a father in the house. When it's not healthy, When there's
not a healthy father daughter bond, then it sets the young girl up to
look for love. It sets herup to look for love in an unhealthy

(50:32):
way. Now will she always makeunhealthy decisions, No, she will not,
but it does set the pace forher to make those wrong decisions.
And for me, I made thosewrong decisions. So there was the abandonment,

(50:57):
and there was the abuse, whichled to me being involved in improper
relationships which led unfortunately to abortion. And it's ironic how those all those ad
words tied together, and I couldn'thave put it together if I wanted to.

(51:22):
As I was writing, I waslike, oh my gosh. It
was only after I wrote the bookI was like, wow, you know
abuse, you know, an abandonmentand abortion. And then I was like,
Okay, God, what do Ido with this. I don't want
to leave people with just you know, all of the negativity, he says.
Then I'll give you something else forthat, he says, I gave

(51:46):
you reconciliation for abandonment. So nowI have a ninety four year old,
the only parent that's left, ourbiological father, and he's ninety four and
we've been reconciled to him. Amen, And uh, he's loving. He's

(52:13):
asked for forgiveness, and not onlyonce, but he speaks to us in
a loving manner, and he's concernedabout my sisters and I my brother,
and uh, he wants to seeGod. That's all I can tell you
a man, and for abuse, hees he's re restored us and and just

(52:37):
given me a feeling of restoration whenwhen a young girl goes through things like
that. I was looking up somesome statistics and I want to I want
to share, share some things withyou. It said that that she can
she can experience negative negativity when letme see what it says, negative impact

(53:01):
on her self esteem. It saysshe'll she'll have issues with intimacy, issues
with sex, with trust, withcommitment, She'll have shame and guilt and
anger and so and so you needto be healed from all of that.
You gotta take that to the cross. You gotta take that to the foot

(53:21):
of the cross man. You gottayou gotta give that to Jesus. It's
not enough just to receive Christ asyour personal savior. You gotta take all
that stuff, all that baggage, all those issues. And can you imagine
I got married with all that baggage, and I don't want other young girls

(53:43):
to get married with all of thatbaggage. And so so for the abortion,
you know, I know we don'thave a lot of time to talk
about it. Go ahead, takeyou time. But but yeah, you
know a young man in the church, and you know, and I wanted

(54:06):
to believe the story he gave me, and you know he told me,
will be married. It's okay,we'll be married. I think I shared
this on Bishop Vincent Matthews broadcast andand he you know, led me.

(54:27):
He told me the things I wantedto hear. And there are young women,
young girls, young women and womeny. They they know better,
but they're listening to and giving intowhat they want to hear. Mm hm
Amen. Let's just let's just asthe old people say, put the skunk

(54:52):
on the table. Yeah, youknow, as wrong. They've given you
the value and so you give intoit because you didn't receive the right kind
of love. He told you hewas going to give you the right kind
of love. He told you he'sgoing to marry you, and so bam,
there you go. Mm hmm.Yeah. So the story is there

(55:15):
in the in the book, andI tell you know my experience of it.
I'm not proud of it. I'mnot proud of the aftermath and what
happened after it. But what Ican say is I'm very glad that I
know that God is a redeemer. So he reconciled me, He restored me,

(55:37):
and he redeemed me. Amen.So I want to let other young
women know, young girls know that, yes, I am for pro life.
The reason why I am for apro life is because I've been through
it, and that's not a choicethat you want to make. And whether

(55:59):
it's your body or not, Iget it, it's your body. But
you'll, you'll, you'll, you'll, you will pay for the choice that
you make, just like sin,you will will pay for the wages,
says the worst is the wages ofsin is death. You'll pay for the
choices that you make. And don'tthink that it's a blob of tissue,

(56:22):
as the doctors tell you. It'snot just a blob of tissue. There's
enough information out there and we canshare that at a at a later time.
And there's information in the book thattells you it's more than just a
blob of tissue. And if Iwould have known that, I would have
thought of that blob of tissue forforty plus years, I would have never

(56:45):
made the choice that I made.Yeah, and I think it's so important.
It's so wonderful that you're able toshare that testimony because you know,
in the church, especially the Churchof God in Christ. And I'm not
not nomination, but no talk aboutit. A lot of conversations that are
needed in the church are not beinghad. You know, just thinking about

(57:07):
my whole upbringing, you never hearanybody share a testimony of abortion. But
you don't know how many people thatcan help to be to hear your story.
You know that may be in themiddle of having to make a choice
like that, but hear you yourperspective, you know, because we look
at it biblically in the Bible, because that I knew you before you were

(57:30):
formed in your mother's womb, Sothat takes away that whole block of tissue
because God knew you before you wereformed. So if he form, it's
because He knew you. So youknow, we st at really talking about
that. It's a different conversation. You know, like you said in your
ears, people are really good tohear what they want to hear. Your

(57:53):
testimony is so powerful and it's soneeded in the church because you have to
be here to help one another. And and and I do want to add
two things. One, I'm thankfulthat the Church of God in Christ has

(58:13):
supported and uh shown me love formy testimony. Mother micoul Lewis has supported
me. She's let me share atduring the Women's Convention, we were on
the Koaching Women's book table, andthen during AIM I was able to be

(58:34):
a in the Kochic Bookstore and shareat that table. Uh. Yeah,
so it's it's been a blessing.Bishop Matthews, who's our missions president.
He's helped me to share my story. So they have put their arms around
me. And then one other thingtoo is statistics show and I'm and I

(58:55):
apologize that I don't have that thatvery resource. But we learned this when
we were in a training class thatone in four women have experienced abortion in
some way, shape or form, either them personally, a sister, a

(59:19):
cousin, They in some way orformed. So if we're sitting in a
church congregation and you look down yourrole, every fourth person one in four,
uh huh, somebody think of itthat way. Somebody has personal personally
experienced abortion in some way. You'vecoerced it, you've agreed, you've gone

(59:45):
to drop off your friend. Yousaid we won't tell nobody. Yeah,
it really is. Until you saidthat statistic I never even thought about how
I might be connected. But afteryou said that, my college made Uh.
You know, she and I werevery close and she went through that

(01:00:05):
and I was there with her.Uh and she was forced. Uh.
Unfortunately, her parents said that ifshe didn't they were not paying for college,
so she was forced to do that. And so just being there with
her through those crying nights, youknow, and and for me to see
what she was going through and experiencingyou know, it was it was very

(01:00:29):
hard for her. She it wasa very hard trial, uh, that
she had to suffer through our freshmanyear of college. You know, you
know that that's that's as close asI can. I know that I've been
involved with it. But like yousaid, that's a that's a powerful statistic,
one in four. So like youput down that pure and you know

(01:00:50):
somebody has dealt with some shape formof fashion. Yes, they dealt with
it. So yeah, well tellwhat last word would say to encourage these
young ladies, these the teens, the twenty year old, thirty year old,
even me in my forties. Youknow what, what advice would you
give us? Uh that you feelis like is very important that if you

(01:01:13):
knew then what you know now?Well, if I I think I've pretty
much said the if I knew thenwhat I know now you know about the
scripture, about the medical facts, that it's not a blob of tissue that

(01:01:35):
you know, uh, the thoughtsand that I would think toward the child.
God gave me a song that Iwrote in dedication of my experience,
and um, it's on iTunes andit's called I'll See You Again, and
uh, it's just get overwhelmed. Here's the thing that I the last thing

(01:02:02):
that I would want to leave withyou is your healing can begin at the
altar and should begin at the altar, whether it's your personal alter at home,
whether it's in your pastor's office whenyou know you're first with your first
lady, whether it's at church. But it doesn't have to sometimes it doesn't

(01:02:23):
always in there. You need sometimesyou need more. Sometimes you need to
go and you need to get furtherhealing. You got to go and talk
to someone. And uh, thereis a wonderful resource and I'll share this
with you. It's a ministry calledNew Heart of Texas Ministries, and I'll

(01:02:45):
send this information to you. Youcan find them online. It's called New
Heart of Texas Ministries. They haveretreats that are called Rachel's Vineyard Retreats,
and Rachel's Vineyard is for women thatare post abortive and if they have trauma

in Hymnstead, Texas. But Rachel'sVineyard is a curriculum that's offered in forty
nine states and on every continent.Oh awesome, you can find a Rachel.

(01:03:30):

I recommend to anyone that needs healing. There's also a retreat offered by the
same center. It's called Grief toGrace. Rachel's Vineyard is a three day

(01:03:51):
retreat. Grief to Grace is fivedays. Grief to Grace is if you've
gone through any type of abuse, physical, domestic violence, sexual abuse,
you name it, if you havetrauma, they will help you. And
these are scripturally based, Christian basedprograms. Okay, awesome man. They

(01:04:15):
also have a duty to heal formilitary. So I serve as a phone
coach and I work on Mondays toanswer phones to women that have had an
abortion thirty years ago, thirty daysago, three days ago, three hours

(01:04:36):

resource again just for those maybe somebodycan type it in the comments, but
tell us one more time. Thoseresources. It's called it's called well,
