Anybody else before we move on?I thought I a'm married, was gonna
say something about what are you focusedon? Right now? What are we
focused on? I'm more a onemore response if I can get it.
If not, I'm gonna move righton along, all right. If it

comes on in, I'll read itonce it comes in, all right.
So I wrote down focus. Whatis the definition focus? So, as
a noun, focus is the actof concentrating interest or activity on something,
Okay, So it's the act ofconcentrating. Okay. As a verb,
it's to pay particular attention to orto concentrate, all right. So there's

a recurrence of that word. Sowhen I look up the word concentrate,
even though we know that is asynonym focused concentrate. When I look through
word concentrate, it says it meansto focus one's attention or mental effort on
a particular object, subject, oractivity. All right. So when we're
concentrating, we're focusing our attention ormental efforts on a particular object, subject,

or activity, all right. Itsays to do or deal with one
particular thing above all others. Allright. So then so those of you
who say that you're focusing on beinga good mom, being a writer,
focusing on some where it's a placeto live, focusing on the Lord,
putting a special okay, my health, awesome, that's a good place to
focus, all right. So you'reputting those things above all else, right,

You're dealing with that particular thing aboveall other things, all right.
And so I told you guys atthe beginning of this that I went to
be experiencing the Power of Meditation conference. And that's pretty much what they were
talking about, is focusing. That'smeditate is to think deeply or focus one's
mind for a period of time forreligious or spiritual purposes. That's what the

definition of meditate is to think deeply, or focus one's mind for a period
of time for religious or spiritual purposes. All right, hey, bro,

I was gonna see you today.I know you had to go to football

good to talk with you today.I shouldn't all right, so over in
Joshua Joshua one and eight, Godtells Joshua to keep the Book of the
Law always on his lips, meditateon it day and night. God is
telling him to meditate on it.So what does that mean? Focus one's
mind on it day and night.Focus on the word, the law of

(13:20):
God. Over in Psalms one andfive, David says that they speak of
the glorious splendor of your majesty,and I will meditate on your wonderful words.
So we see here Joshua being toldto meditate on God's word, and
then David is meditating on God's works. All right, and so when we're

(13:41):
meditating on the Word of God thescripture, right, that's what the word
of God is God breathed scripture,right, and we're meditating on God's works
right, his attributes, his actions, the things that He's done. Right,
And why is this important? We'llgo back up to Joshua. It
tells us, It says, meditatedon it day and night, so that

(14:01):
you may be careful to do everythingwritten in it. Then you will be
prosperous and successful. Right. Sothat is why God's requiring us to meditate
on his word and his works.Because when we do that, when we're
meditating on the world, we're meditatingon scripture, we're learning that, we're
taking it into our hearts. Thenwe will be careful to do everything that

(14:24):
is written in it. When youfocus on something, you're careful with that.
Right. I know my mind shouldbe focused on God and he will
take care of the risk. Amen. Amen. Since we're all working progress,
we're all growing, that's a partof the process. He said that
he will bring that good work intocompletion. So you just keep letting him
work on you. It's good tobe able to take knowledge where you where

(14:45):
you fall short, so that Godcan do something new in you. Focused
on transformation in several areas of mylife. Very good, very good.
The battle says be ye transformed bythe renewing of your mind. Right,
and then what does it say?Let's keep our mind mind, focus our
mind. Look that focus our mindby meditating on the word day and night,

(15:07):
so that we may be careful todo what is written within. People
are doing whatever they want to do. When you talk about focusing, people
are focused on getting to the bag. On all my social media, on
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, everybodyfocus on getting to the bag. I
see comments about making money and gettingto the bag. Right, were moving
on up? Like Jeffson, movingon up. I try to say in

(15:30):
every episode, I'm sorry, butto the east side that d looks up
punk me in the sky. Allright, but that's what people are focusing
on, being prospering in this worldlyram. Focus on the get what they
can obtain in the worldly possessions.Right. But I want to encourage you
because that is distraction. Right,when you're focused more on things of the

(15:52):
world than you are on the thingsof God. That is deploy of the
enemy. That is a distraction wherehe's trying, Hey, thank you so
much, be tuning in. Ishould appreciate you. We have to be
keep our eyes open for the wilesof the devil. Right, he's conning
and deceitful, and so he'll usethose little things we don't even realize,
you know, giving us promotion onthe job, and we got to work

(16:15):
all day doing things take us awayfrom our focus being on Christ, our
folks, taking our focus away fromthe work that God has for us.
Right, Jesus already set the examplewhen he was twelve years old what he
said he has to be about hisfather's business. Right, we're instead of
being about our father's business. Wetoo worried about our own business. But
when you get about Jesus' business,Jesus, take care of your business.

(16:36):
Amen, all right, It saysover in John fifteen and four, it
says remain in me as I alsoremain in you. No branch can bear
fruit by itself. It must remainin the vine. Neither can you bear
fruit unless you remain in me.I am the vine. You are the
branches. If you remain in meand I in you, you will bear

(16:57):
much fruit. Apart from me.You can do nothing if you do not
remain in me. You are likea branch that is thrown away in withers.
Such branches are picked up and throwninto the fire and burned. If
you remain in me and my wordsremain in you, ask whatever you wish,

(17:18):
and it will be done for you. This is to my Father's glory,
right, for the glory of God, that you bear much fruit showing
yourself to be my disciples. Allright, Hey, liby, thank you
so much for tuning in all theway down from Louisianna. I was in
Louisiana this weekend in New Orleans,all right. And so God is saying

we focus on him if we remainin him. What does it mean to
remain in God, to dwell inhim, to live in him, to
continue in his way? Right?And then if He is in you the
end dwelling right to become it saysfor God to remain in you, it
means that you become a permanent dwellingplace for the Holy Spirit in God's truth.

(18:06):
So if we are making sure thatwe are in Christ and Christ is
in us his spirit, right,then our way will be prosperous and we
can be successful. We can askwhat we will and He will give it.
He will do it for us.Right. And so I wrote down
a couple of things and help you, you know, cause some people might
say, I don't really know abouthow to stay folks. Rachel, so

good to see you. I've beenmissing you since, So great to see
you. But how to be focusedon God and to remain how to remain
in God and God remain in you. So I just want to give a
couple of tips that I thought wasgood. Is Number one, you got
to get dressed right. You gottaget dressed over in Ephesian six to ten
taels, we have to put onthe whole armor of God. Some of

us out here half dressed and someof us out here naked, But we
have to put on the whole armor. The helmet, the breastplate, the
bell, the shoe, the shield, the sword. We need all of
it right in order to be successful, to be able to remain in Christ,

(19:11):
to be able to award off thosefiery darts that the enemy is sinning
our way. We need to makesure that we are covered by the armor
of God. Amen, and focuson Him, not them. Come on,
Angelau, you better come on.Say that. I like that.

(19:33):
Hang you, Regina, thank youso much for tuning in sis. I
should appreciate you so good to seeyou in. So we have to make
sure that we remain in God.Another thing that we do is after we
make sure that we dressed right,we will go over at Philippians four and
eight. Okay, it gives ussome things that we can focus on.

Right, where is your focus?Let's see, Hey, Toya, thank
you so much for tuning in,and thank you for purchasing your tea because

This was definitely from God. Blessyou. The Lord just keeps on encouraging
me week by week, because everyweek somebody gets on there and says that
it was a word for them.You know, the enemy will try to
discourage you. He'll try to makeyou think that what you're doing is not

important or that it's not a help. But I thank God for Jesus,
as my grandmother will say that hecontinues to send people to encourage us in
the ways of the Lord. Andso I just appreciate you letting me know
that, cousin. All right,so when we look at Philippians, listen
to some i'm'a give you some thingsthat we could focus on, and says,
whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is

(20:38):
pure, whatever is lovely, whateveris it admirable, if anything is excellent
or praiseworthy, think about such things. Right, So if we focus on
those things, if we focus onthings that are true, the never father
of lies. And when you geton social media, you see it's a
bunch of lies, lies life likeeverybody lying. But if we focus on

(21:02):
truth, hey, focus on whatis true. Rite what God has said
about you, not what the enemyis trying to tell you in your ear.
The enemy try to tell you thatGod is not gonna make a way
out of no way. The enemytry to tell you that you don't have
worth, you don't have value.The enemy try to tell you that you're
not saved, that you're not living. Right to bind that enemy in the
name of Jesus, open up yourword, pray and speak truth over yourself.

(21:27):
What does the Lord say. I'mthe head and not the tale,
I'm above and not beneath. I'mmore than a conqueror. Amen. He
leaves me by beside the choir stream. He restores my soul. He prepared
a table for me in the presenceof my enemy. Right, we can

(21:48):
trust in God's word and what hesays, and we need to focus on
God's word. Do not focus onwhat the enemy saying. The enemy is
screaming, loud and shouting, butyou have to get stealing, meditating,
focus for that quiet still voice ofthe Lord. The enemy is busy.
He's trying to cause confusion and division. But the Bible says, let there

(22:11):
be no division among you. Right. That is the attack of the enemy
when he trying to come in anddivide. But we bind it right now
in the name of Jesus, andwe're gonna focus on what the Bible has
told us to focus on right herein Philippians four n A Amen. Amen,
all right, and so let's makesure that we're shifting our focus right.

(22:36):
Give it to a straight amen.Amen. Listen. The enemy is
real and people are out here playingand thinking that he ain't. But he
is. And it's a spiritual wargoing on, and so many people are
not aware. They just going throughlife and they don't even know that there's
a spiritual Rahm, there's a spiritualwar. What we do not wrestle against
flesh and blood. We are heretrying to fight each other. That's the

(22:57):
wrong fight. Were supposed to becontending for the faith. We fighting the
good fight of faith for the Lord. Coming together as one body in Christ's
unity. Right mind marry you sayall the time, too many chiefs and
not enough Indians. Everybody want tobe in charge. Everybody want to go
down weigh and that's what all thedivision is. People splitting up because they

(23:18):
don't want to do what this personsaying. I want to do it my
waiting, but I bind that rightnow in the name of Jesus. We
will have unity in the body ofChrist. We must have unity in the
kingdom. Right there's so much racialdivide and all these things. God is
not pleased. Listen, there isnot a heaven for white people, in
a heaven for black people, ina heaven for Hispanics and Mexicans, and
a heaven for Asians. No,it is one kingdom. We are one

(23:41):
body of Christ, and we needto start loving one another. What is
the command love your neighbor as yourself. Ain't talking about the person that live
next door to you. Everybody youcome in contact with is your neighbor.
Love your neighbor as yourself. Whenyou see that homeless person on the street,
love your neighbor as yourself. Wesold things you don't give. We

(24:03):
don't want to help nobody. Butif it was you, love your neighbor
as yourself, you make sure yougot something to eat. I felt so
bad the other day a guy askedme to buy him something to eat,
and I didn't. I was thinkingabout it, but I didn't. And
then the after I left, theHoly Spirit convicted me so bad, and
I drove around for about thirty minutestry to find that young man walking these

(24:26):
streets, and I couldn't find him. I prayed about it, but I
felt so bad because I should havefed him. Love your neighbor as yourself.
If you wouldn't do it to you, don't do it to them.
If you would do it for you, do it for them. Right.
If somebody is in need, bea help, if God has blessed you
to be able to be a help. I talk to my brother about this

(24:48):
the other day. When I wastalking about I read this book by Bob
Goff called Everybody Always You Know,And the principle in that book is being
able to be a blessing to helpeverybody always who it is right? Were
picking? Choose who we want tohelp right or now don't like hers.
Yeah, now I ain't got fivehours. Well, or you like you're
gonna go buy some boozs, Iain't gonna give you knowhing. But no,
that has not called us to judgewhat somebody's gonna do. He said

(25:11):
to be helpleus of one another.Right, And so that's what we need
to do, is treat others theway that we want to be treated,
all right. The Bible also tellsus what not to focus on right over
at first, John two fifteen andsixteen says, do not love the world
or anything in the world. Ifanyone loves the world, love for the

(25:33):
Father is not in them. Foreverything in the world, the lust of
the flesh, the lust of theeyes, and the pride of life comes
not from the Father but from theworld. Right, And so we have
to examine ourselves, examine our livesand how we're living, what we're living.

(25:57):
Like. Everybody wants think that everybody'sgoing to heaven. Everybody wants to
think that everybody's a child of God. But that's just simply not what the
Bible says. The Bible says thatthe way is narrowed. We want mercy
and grace, but don't give mercyand grace. That's not christ like God
to be the change I want tosee. Amen. I made a post

(26:17):
about that on my Facebook but theother day that God's grace is sufficient and
we have to have that same gracefor ourselves and others. Right even I
was saying that for me because youknow, sometimes I get told down on
myself when I feel like I've fallenshort, you know, and God,
the Spirit God say, give yourselfgrace. You're learning, you're growing,

(26:38):
you're getting stronger in Christ. Giveyourself some grace. Quit beating yourself up,
ask forgiveness, and move on rightin this time of testing and trials
that I'm going through. Right,But we know people watching us Christians,
people watching us, people especially peoplein the world. They looking waiting for
us to have a damn fill tomess up, to do something. But

(27:00):
let's extend grace to one another,all right. And the Bible says for
us to throw off everything that hindersand the sin that's so easily entangled.
I miss something that was up there, But God says for us to throw
those things off. Forgive my deskins. We forgive, yes, Amen,
we have to forgive if we wantto be forgiven. We already know that
the Bible tells us you can't beforgiven if you're not gonna be willing to

(27:22):
forgive. Right. But God isso gracious with us, and we need
to be gracious with ourselves and withothers. All right. We can all
think of things that fall within thosethings, the lust of the flesh,

(27:42):
the lust of the eyes, thepot of life. Right, we need
to try to move away from thosethings. So check yourself, let's say,
check yourself before you wreck yourself.Right, evaluate, right, I'm
telling Lord all the time, searchmy heart. If you find things and
not like you, Lord, cleanme. And he'd be studying showing me
stuff. And you know, sometimesyou hate to see who you really are,

(28:03):
you know, you hate to seelike God live, that's me,
you know. But God has showingyou for a purpose so that you can
change that thing, so he cangrow and develop that fruit within you.
When we're talking about the fruit ofthe spirit. But he says earlier in
my listen, why I said,if you remain in me and I remain
in you, then that you wouldbear much fruit showing yourself to be my

(28:26):
disciples. A lot of time whenI was specially when I was younger.
Growing up, I used to thinkthat bearing much fruit meant material things that
I had. Right when they sayyou know you know by their fruit,
I used to think that was talkingabout material things. But that's talking about
the fruit of the spirit, right, love, Joy, Who can tell
me the fruit of the spirit?I got? I got a free concert
ticket for who can type in?Two free concert tickets for whoever can type

in the fruit of the spirit.What are the fruit of the spirit?
Cousin, Thank you so much fortuning in? Can anybody type in to
tell me all the fruits of thespirit? All right? Over? In
Second Thessalonians two and three, itsays, let no man deceive you by
any means, for that day shallnot come except there come a falling away

first, and that man of Seinbe revealed. All right, that's not
about the coming of Christ. Sothe Bible tells us don't be deceived.

when I wasn't walking with God,God was faithful and good to me,
and he brought me out of somany situations and so many things that could
have easily been the end of mylife to this point. And that's the
kind of God we served, becauseeven when when you are not mindful of

him, he's mindful of you.Amen. My friend of Rea to say,
Jesus take care of children and fools. Woo, he has to take
care of his food. I amso, I'm so, I'm so thankful
because he didn't let me dying mysins. Amen. He took his hands
out with me a long time ago. Yeah, you know, and even

even in my walk with him,in my disobedience, in me being stubborn
and set in my own ways whileI was trying to walk with him,
but he saying go left, andI'm going I'm saying, now, all
right, look better to me.You know. He could have taken his

hands off of me, but heloved me so much. Right, He
allowed me to make the mistakes thatI made, and I look back on
them now though there stepping stones forme to help somebody else. And a

And sometimes it's good. And sometimesgood might not be good like you
were thinking it's gonna be. Youmight be thinking it's working for my good
like I'm gonna receive some or that'sright, it might be working for your
good. Because you was headed towardshell and because of this way, God
has changed, you know, hechanged your mindset and draws you nearer to
because sometimes we have to go throughhell to draw near to God. That's

right, that's right. That isso true. And when you were when
you were speaking on tonight and youwas talking about abiding in Him and him
abidying in us, and I justgot this vision in my mind. And
every time I hear that scripture,it comes in my mind. You know,
we must remain with it in themind. We gotta stay connected.
And I thought about you know somethingspecially, you know, we don't have

a lot of storms down here.In Texas, and and even even you
will see a big old tree.The limb will be broke off, but
it's still connected. And the limbis dying, but it's connected to the
tree, but it's dying. Sothere is no there is no life flowing

in that war of the tree.And even though it's still connected, barely
hanging on, it's dead. Andsometimes you know, I have found myself
there where I'm I'm in the church. You know, I'm praying, I'm
connected, but I'm dying. Andso I had to, like you said,

you you you have to get inthat word and you have to be
willing and open for God to comein and me and you back in graft
you back in. I heard somebody, preacher, a lady preach a message
one time saying, stay connected tothe power. Anytime you unplugged something.
If I unplugged this computer, I'mgonna lose power. Your power doesn't mean

(42:07):
that it's not a computer. It'sstill a computer. But I'm gonna lose
power. Yeah, So I useyour ability to operate, yes, yes,
And so then I'm not functional.I'm not doing what I was designed
to connected to the power. Comeon, we have to and in my
own life, I had to realize, girl, you gotta stay connected to

(42:28):
the power because once you once youget unconnected to the power, and then
you start trying to do stuff onyour own. You you functioning, but
you're not functioning in what God isdesigned for you to. You're not wanting
able to use you. You know, Now I can. I can have
this computer on the desk. It'sa desk, but if it's not plugged
into this uh plug, there isnothing. I can hang something on it

(42:52):
and it can be a you know, just something to decorate the little desk,
but it ain't gonna work. It'snot gonna service purpose. It's not
doing what God intended, what youwas intended to do exactly. And so
for me, I have to remindmyself, even in this walk, as
long as I have been saved andin God, I have to tell myself

(43:13):
sometimes, girl, you better getyourself connected because it's easy. It's easy
for us to get distracted with sidethings. You were talking while ago,
and you were saying you were talkingand you were saying, how uh uh.
You know, we gotta meditating thatword. Get in that word.

(43:34):
The devil will find everything. Youknow, Shabrida, But yes, you
over here, she says some goodstuff too. Yes, she said function
and dysfunction. That's what she justsaid. Yes, Chabrida, talk about
being distracted and how distractions come inand they take take our minds and take
our hearts away from God. Andthat's what the enemy wants, so that

(43:58):
you can't fulfill what God is calledyou to fulfill. And the thing that
I have learned about what God calledyou. When God calls you, he's
not gonna force you come on herefree will. It's your will. God
not gonna force me to get inthe word. Yeah, He's not gonna
force me to fast and pray.Things can come into our lives and we
have to we have to know sometimeswhen things come to our lives, they'll

(44:22):
drive us to our needs. Mm. If that's what we know, that
we got to go or we willingto go there? Right? And then
sometimes people things come in their lifeit driving me. But father, that's
right, that's right. And youknow what, it's important for us to
realize and have discernment because something likeyou said, the enemy is cunning.

(44:43):
You're crafty, so sometimes you don'tyou don't even know it's a distraction,
right, because you know, youthink about distraction like, oh it is
this relationship is a distraction, oryou know, he didn't get this addiction
is a distraction. Web. Butsometimes you might be your job that you
have, you know, this jobthat's God and the open door for this

promotion. And now you're working allday, all night, and you are
distracted from the work of God.So the things you were doing for God,
now you are too busy. I'msorry to put that back up with
advance. As Marie said, nowyou are too busy to do Amen.
Surely want God surely won't force you. Yeah, And so we get and
so the devil here. You don'thave to be Oh, I'm like you

(45:28):
do these drugs or all. I'mlike you, I'm gonna send you this
man to pull you away from church. Off. He might send you this
job, right, he might useyour children. There's all kinds of different
things, and so we just haveto be mindful and be prayerful, you
know about it. I'm confused whenit comes to distraction, and faith without
works is dead. I'm confused whenit comes to distraction. Listen, let

(45:50):
me tell you this. Anything thatpulls you away from God is a distraction,
that's right. That's right. Whenit says faith without works is dead,
that means that you will believe inGod something you ain't doing nothing.
You ain't doing nothing. But ifyou're working for the Kingdom of God,
if you're working you like I toldyou're in earlier. If you're about your
father's business, he will take careof your business. So if you're doing

(46:14):
the work of the Lord, thenyou don't have to worry about faith without
word is dead because you're working yourfaith. Come on. But when anything
that's pulling you away from God,that is a distraction. I don't care
what it is. If it's onlyyour way God, it's a distraction.
Hey, joy, I see youand be you. You can be your
own self distraction. You know.I know we big during this time,

and it's uh. We were bigon self love. Yep. Self care.
Yes, self care and that's agood thing. But sometimes that also
can be a distraction for us.Right because I'm so sorry to interrupted,

do the job, but God givesyou the opportunity to learn how to increase

you you asked me about sharing testimonies, and you, like I said,
I got so many. I don'tknow where to start at. But I'm
going to talk about one that thankyou to thank you a car accident that

I had and where the truck blewup and exploded, and that was in
nineteen and eighty six. Because thedevil was nineteen eighty six, nineteen eighty
nineteen eighty six, eighteen eighty six, I was three years old, eighty
six, Yes, ma'am. Listen. If you would have said that to
some of my students, they wouldhave said, was you a slave?
Those kinds of you? Listen,that's what the kids. I had a

(47:45):
kid asked me when I said Iwas one nineteen eighty three, he said,
eighty three, was you born doingslavery? I was like, what
kind of Okay, I'm sorry,go ahead, go ahead, I'm sorry.
Eighty six. Yeah, that eightysix, you had a car accident
that was a life changing. Theme coming out of that and that truck

(48:05):
exploding with me you're still in thereand on fire, was a miracle within
itself. But for me, whenI look at that point in my life,
I was a backslider, still goingto church, still going to church.
Had the wreck on my way fromchurch. You see what I'm saying,
had the wreck on my way fromchurch. And listen. When I

(48:30):
had that wreck and that truck flipped. They told me it flipped seven times.
All I know it was rolling.And the devil told me that ain't
no use in praying. In mymind, I went to say Jesus,
because you know when they say youmay not have time to pray, right,

(48:52):
I remember saying gee, and thedevil said, when you're in your
eyes, you're gonna be in hell. In my mind, m and that
truck was flipping, and when Iowed my eyes, all I saw was
fire. All I saw was fire. And I and I tell you,

(49:15):
I remember the sphinomena on my on. The truck wasn't working good, and
so I was trying. I wasdriving behind this Searis eighteen pool of truck
and once I got on into Dallasuntil a mixed match, I said,
let me go on around because becauseI'm trying to get home. I was
working at the post office, hadto be at work early the next morning.

(49:35):
And I went around him at adrunk driver came off of that top
bridge straight down and hit me headon, and uh, it was it
was scary within itself. Amen,God knows how I went through a lot,
you know, being in and outof the hospital. So I'm that's

(49:55):
I'm gonna put a plug right there, because I'm going fast forward to just
twenty and sixteen, twenty fifteen.I was in the hospital and I think
I I talked to you. Iwas in the hospital with my pancres because
after that I started having problems withmy pancres. I was in the hospital
with my pancres and I was sick. I know, I was so sick.

(50:21):
I was so sick. My sisterDad, she was she is.
Really. I don't remember people comingand visit me. People from the church
were saying, we came to seeyou, but I didn't remember none of
them. Folks. I remember Dell, Yeah, I mean I was there,
Reverend vest on your feet, well, thank you. I don't remember.

(50:45):
I know you were you were atyou were in a coma, so
you and so, but I do. I remember waking up in a different
hospital from what I was in itand I and I think my daughter Shay
and Dal was telling me that Iwas doing so back in the other hospital.
They took me out of that hospitalwith against doctor's advice, and took

(51:07):
me to another hospital. One daylater she would have died. Yeah,
yeah, and listen and that Ihad. I had took off some of
my almor with one of them nursesbecause I was at and acting the fool.
Yeah, it was. It wasbad and we had That's why we
had to move you, because itwas a bad situation. But God,
God already had a plan. Hebrought me this far. Yeah, and

(51:30):
it was nothing good that I wasdoing when I was laying in that hospital
Beddy and I want to share thispeptimony, and I don't think I.
I think I shared it at mychurch when I first went back to church
after I got out the hospital.But I was laying in that bed and
I'm gonna tell y'all something. Ifyou have never you know, we fight
spiritual battles. I followed spiritual battleon a whole different level. I I

(51:54):
it's one thing to be fighting aphysical body with the pain that was racking
through my body, unbearable, passingout kind of pain. But at the
same time I'm dealing with that kindof pain, I'm also dealing with us.
I was having a spiritual battle inmy mind where the enemy was trying
to attack my mind, and Iwas working at Terrace State Hospital and the

(52:19):
devil was telling me I'm gonna killyou. Listen. In my unconscious mind,
I don't know what was going onin the room. I don't remember,
you know, But in my unconsciousmind, I kept remembering that if
you call on the name of Jesus, the devil got to fleet. I
was calling on the name of Jesus. The devil was not fleeing. I

(52:42):
was quoting every scripture I could possiblyremember in my mind. In the sound,
the devil was magnifying the sound inmy mind so loud. I was
looking at my brain splattered like somebodyhad through a grenade in my head,
and my brains were just flattering.And I don't know if you guys have

(53:05):
ever seen her like. I don'tknow no up to date of rock groups,
but I remember kids, you know, with the with the Black and
the Yeah and the music and realloud, and just that's how it was
in my head. It was thenoise in my head was so loud.
My brains was literally just flattery,and the devil was just coming at me,

(53:30):
coming at me, coming at me. I had no peace, night
and day. I ain't playing.I'm telling you, keeping you in a
comatose state, right, I guessI don't even know. I know it
was either in a coma or theywas keeping you in a coma, because
you were in there for a longtime. I was in there for a
long and the whole I guess forthe whole time that I was in that

(53:51):
I was having this spiritual battle inmy mind. And so I don't know
how long, but I know Igot tired of you, and I'm thinking,
now, Lord, you told me, see you fool, Thank you
Jesus, Yeah, tell him tellhim what he told you. Lord.
Hm mm hmm woo, thank theLord, Thank you Lord God. Listen.

(54:19):
I was talking to the Lord.The devil would leave for a few
minutes, I say, a fewseconds, and he would come right back.
And so I got tired and Itold the Lord, I said,
Lord, go ahead and take me. I can't I can't do this.
I can't. So I said,just take the don't let me, take
me on with mom and daddy.That's what That's what I told the Lord.

(54:40):
I said, just don't take me, let me don't die. It
was so painful physically and and spiritually. It was so much. It was
just felt like too much. AndI kept saying, all you said,
you want, put no more onme, then I can marry. I
can't take it. I can't takeit. Because my head was exploding,
and I kept saying, Lord,I can't take it, I can't take
it. The devil would just comeright back and OOO, he was coming

(55:01):
back, and I would just haveenough strength to say a verse, but
it seemed like it did. Wewasn't doing no good. I told the
Lord God, don't take me withMama and daddy, and I got a
few seconds of peace, and Iguess I had time to think about it.
Then I thought about now I ain'tready to die. Now I take
that back to die, And soyou know, I did, I talk

(55:25):
my Lord, I ain't ready.I ain't ready to die. And did
as soon as I say that,the devil came right back, and so
he was wearing my mind out,and then it just was a It was
just quiet for just I don't knowhow long, but it was just quiet,
and the Lord spoke to me,and this is all the Law said.

(55:45):
I will never leave you nor forsakeyou. He spoke. That's so
clear to me. And as soonas he did, the devil came back.
But it was something about me hearingGod say that. When the devil
came back, he was talking aboutwhat he was gonna do to me,
and he said, if he didn'tkill me, I was, he was
gonna I was gonna my mind wasgonna be crazy, and I was gonna

(56:07):
be a patronest to earth. Hewas just woo woo, woo woo woo,
and I was. It was acalm that came over me in my
unconsciousness, and I told the devil, I said, listen, you ain't
batter than my God. I said, because my God just told me that
he'll never leave me. Off ofsafety, I said, so whether I
stay on earth, he's with me, or whether I'm in heaven, he's

(56:30):
with me. When I said that, the noise went away, and that's
when I woke up, and Ilooked around the room, and then I
remember seeing that shade, and Iremember seeing my brother Larry. I remember
seeing I think dev was there.And I woke up and I looked at
Shade and I said, the deadhas arisen. That's what you said,

(56:52):
Dad has arisen. Why you hadbeen I think you had been in that
car of weeks. It was likeI think it was from the time I
went to Lake Point till the whenI got the press material. It was
almost three months, right, Butyou were at that other place. I
feel like when you was at theother place, you was kind of in

(57:14):
and out, you know, Soit was you was in and out of
conscience. But it seemed like whenyou got moved to the other hospital.
That's why said I think maybe theywere keeping you in a commost host state
because it was like you was justout. You was never up, you
know, And I think it waslike I think I remember it being like
two or three weeks, and youwas just every time I came, you
was you were never up. Andthat's why, you know, I was
really your feet. But I waspraying, and I was just so sad

(57:35):
because you're my favorite, ain't it, you know? And so I was
I was. It was really hardon me, and then I remember Mama
calling me and saying that ain't.Mary was up and she said she need
to talk to you. You rememberthat, yep, the lawn, the
lawn that showed me you, andthat you was traveling all over the world.
You were all in Japan, Youwas everywhere. And I think,

(57:57):
I think, I think you cameup there and I told you that you
did my cause Mama said, Mammasaid, I ain't. Marian said,
come see her. She talked toyou, you know, and she was
making the sayd it was so urgent. So I came up there and you
told me. You said, yousaid you thought it was you. You
said, you said it was abig stage and it was Asians as far
as you could see, and yousaid, and I thought it was me.
I thought that was me on stage, she said. And then Lord

(58:20):
showed me it wasn't me. Youand that you know that when you told
me that, because people tell meall the time, well I can't believe
you still rat why you ain't givingit up? And that is holding on
to that word you and curb.When you told me that, I knew
that God taking me to the nation. That's what that meant. To me
when you said Asians as far asyou could see my spirits, Oh,
God gonna take me to the nations. And so that's why I keep hold

(58:43):
on his hand and I keep tryingto go hiring him because I know that
he had some if what you werein and you came out of that next
first thing you want to tell somebodyI knew, I said, oh this
God, you know, but beforewe go, I wanted to kind of
hit on something that I thought thatIt just came to my mind. So
you said in nineteen eighty six youwere in that head on collision, but

(59:04):
you said that you were back sliddenin that state, and so God had
mercy on you. He didn't takeit in that pick sliden state, right,
And so I think and I fastforward to nineteen ninety eight when my
grand when your mama and daddy wasin a head on collision and Granny died
on impact. So we know shewas ready. Yeah, yeah, Granny

(59:29):
died on impact, but Pa Pauldidn't die till later at the hospital,
right, And I feel like Godwas allowing I don't know, he might
have been ready to I don't know, But then it was in my mind
when you were talking, and Iwas saying, God knows he prepared the
place for us, and he knowswhen we prepared for the place. Yes,
yes, you know my granddaddy gaveme comfort. Not Papaul and granded

(59:50):
is my mama. I mean,yeah, my mama's parents, y'all parents,
but my grandmama and my grandpapa.My grandmama was hit by eighteen whill
and she died on impact. Shewas ready. So both of my grandparents,
both my grandmother died on impact incar accidents. But my grandfather,
I remember him telling me after mydad was murdered. He said, the

(01:00:13):
day before my daddy was murdered,the night before my daddy was murdered,
my grandpapa said, my death,the Lord woke him up out of his
sleep at midnight and told him hewas gonna take his son. And he
said he started crying, and hesaid he called my daddy over and he
prayed with my daddy and talked withmy daddy, and the Lord took him
the next day. Wow, youknow that gave comfort to me in peace,

(01:00:37):
because I knew the Lord took himwhen he was ready. He came
over and he prayed with Grandpapa,and he did all that he was ready.
You know, the Lord knows whenwe're ready, when we know when
we prepared to go to the placethat He has prepared for us. You
know, through like I said earlier, through God has brought me through so
much. And I tried to inmy plays and in my songs, I

(01:00:59):
try to to share some of thattestimony. Uh, God is so good,
He never stops being good. Itain't nobody mad but the depth.
And ain't nobody mad but the devillaying. We don't care nothing about the
devil being mad. He gonna come. That's his job. I say this,
The devil do his job, Letus do ours. A mad folks,

we got to focus. You couldn't. The only way you're gonna be
able to do it is focus.And you know if he can get you
not to be focused, then youwon't do it. And de splightest little
things I saw. Somebody don't everwant to go saying something about you know,
