Last week, my calendar fell off the wall. (I haven’t put it back up yet … though I should do that!)

I realized that it was Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother’s way of saying, “Hey, I got you. I’m here for you. I’m aware of you.”

I promise that if you look for God’s hand in your life, you’ll find it everywhere. It shows up. Again and again.

In my case, it shows up one fallen calendar at a time.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hello, welcome back to my podcast. So this is the
second episode of this week, and that's amazing. Cheer for that.
Let's go. I don't know how long this episode is
going to be, but I'm not planning on it being long.
But I do want to talk about this wonderful, funny,
hilarious thing that happened last week. Okay, and you can

(00:36):
see the title, one fallen calendar at a time. Isn't
that kind of funny? You're like, what fair enough for
me too? So last week, it was a Friday morning
and I needed to wake up to get ready to
go to the YSA conference because it was about an
hour away and it started at ten am, but we
wanted to be there a little bit earlier so we

(00:57):
could check in and get there on time and sit
down and you know, find a seed and all that stuff.
And so I had prepared everything the night before. I
had put my food in the fridge. I had packed
everything in my laundry basket that didn't need to be
in the fridge. I had already packed my clothes. I
had showered the night before at like eleven PM. I
was ready to go, right, So I figured, Eh, you

(01:17):
only need like thirty minutes to get ready to pack everything,
take it out of the fridge, put in the car.
You don't need a lunch. So I set my alarm
for seven forty am, all right, and we were going
to leave at eight thirty and so I was like,
I'll have plenty of time. That will work. So at
I was laying down the next morning, right and at

(01:38):
six fifty two am, half of my calendar on my wallfalls.
So I just have one of those calendars that you
can ride on with whiteboard erase markers, you know, And
I have it hanging on the wall, and it's one
of those things where like half of it is attached
to a little command hook and the other half's attached

(02:00):
to a command hook. So at one point in time,
at six fifty two am, half of it falls the
command strip I suppose on one, and the half just
gave up. And I woke up because it was loud,
and I asked, Alexa, I don't want to set mine off,
so I whispered it. Hopefully you heard it. But I
asked my AI device, my Echo dot what I don't

(02:22):
know if AI probably, well, I guess artificial until I
don't know anyway, I asked her what time it was,
and she said, it is six fifty two am. And
so I looked up and I saw my calendar half
hanging on the wall, and I knew the other half
was going to fall. Right, one little command hook was
not going to support the entire calendar now that half
of it had fallen, and I knew the other half

(02:43):
was going to fall, but I was like, eh, whatever,
I don't care. So I roll over and I know
i'm's going to fall in a couple minutes, but I
don't know when. So I roll over and at seven am,
once again, I asked my echo dot it falls again
the other half, so all of it completely falls and
it falls down. It's really loud, it makes quite a ruckus.
I'm like, oh my gosh. And as this calendar falls,

(03:04):
I asked my adult time it is at seven am.
And I can't stop giggling and laughing. I am laying
in bed, half awake, right, I am not all the
way awake, but I'm half awake, and I'm giggling and
I'm laughing, and I can't stop giggling and laughing, like
it's hilarious to me, Like my calendar just fell and
so I get up and I think, you know what
haven't they? Father knew that I needed more time than

(03:29):
what I gave myself forty minutes of more time than
what I gave myself, and so he woke me up
because of all of the mornings, right of all of
the days for my calendar to fall, it fell on
the day the one day I needed to wake up early. Like,
that's wild, that is not coincidental. You know, part of

(03:50):
me is even curious and this is totally not doctor
and this is just me being silly, But part of
me is like, he gives this angel a responsibility. Hey,
will you go make sure Kaira's up at seven am?
And you can give her like a little snooze button.
You know, you can help her wake up like an
eight five to eight minutes early and then you know,
make sure she's up by seven. And the Angel's like, aye, ay,

(04:11):
I can do that. See the angel comes down six
point fifty two and she's like or he's like, well,
God said I could wake her up eight minutes early
and give her a little snooze, and so she's like, okay,
I can. I can touch the environment. I can affect
the environment, and so she makes half of my calendar
fall and then she's like, ah, now I got to

(04:33):
wait eight minutes so that she can sleep, So she
or he this angel is just patiently waiting, and then
it finally hits seven and they're like whoa. They yank
the other half of the calendar down and it falls
on the ground. And obviously that's just a little funny
thing I made up. That's not obviously probably what actually happened,
but it's just cute and funny, and I think that's

(04:55):
I don't know, giggly whatever. But yeah, I woke up
at seven and I giggled and I thought it was hilarious,
and I was like, you know what, that's probably not
gonna be very fun to pick that up off the ground,
all those little tacks on it and the magnets. But
when I got up to pick it up, only one
of them tacks had fallen off, and all the magnets
were still there, so it was really easy. It took
me like one and a half minutes to pick up

(05:17):
because there was a couple things I had to the
markers and stuff, so it really didn't even take me long,
maybe forty five seconds actually, maybe not even a minute
and a half. It was very quick, and I thought
about that, and as I got ready, I didn't rush
or and he didn't take my time, but I just
got ready right and I was ready almost exactly at
eight twenty one am, And of course I like went

(05:39):
to the bathroom and you know, ate a yogur or whatever.
So I was ready by eight thirty. And I thought
there was no way I would have been ready if
I had woken up when my alarm was set at
seven forty. God had woken me up to help me out.
He loves me, and he knew that this was important
to me, and so he woke me up one fallen
calendar at a time. And I'm so grateful for that.

(06:00):
I'm so grateful that God cares about in the little
tiny details of my life, including what time to wake
up so that I'm not late, because he wanted me
to get to that conference and he wanted me to
be there on time. And I'm really grateful for that. So,
in promise of keeping this episode small and short and cute,
he I want to end out and tell you that

(06:21):
God cares about the little details of your life. He
cares about it. He cares about what time you get up,
insomuch as to help you not be late. He cares
about little things like finding a puzzle piece when you're
trying to put a puzzle together and you're trying to
find the edge piece and you can't find it, and
you pray, and then it almost practically jumps off the
table the tray. Yeah, that's happened to me before. It

(06:44):
was kind of awesome. But he really does. He cares
about these things because he loves us. And I am
so grateful for that. And I promise you, and I
know and I testify that if you are looking for
God's hand in your life, and you are looking for
ways that He positively impacts your life and makes it better,
I promise you you'll find them everywhere. And I know

(07:05):
that to be true because He loves us. And I
say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen,
thank you so much for listening. Don't forget to embrace imperfection,
find meaning, satisfaction and joy from the journey. I'm Kyra
and this is imperfectly broken. The podcast
