Incantagioni Audio-Essay
Una giovane antropologa si imbatte nel libro scritto da un mago: Incantagioni. Storie di veggenti, sibille, sonnambule e altre fantasmagoriche liberazioni (Nero 2022) racconta la storia di sei donne che, tra Sette- e Ottocento, hanno usato la magia per emanciparsi dall’oppressione patriarcale. Usando le sue pagine come mappa, la ricercatrice avvia una ricerca che la porterà ben al di là delle traiettorie del libro, con l’obiettivo di esplorare forme e influenze del magico nella contemporaneità europea. Incantagioni audio-essay è un'espansione transmediale del libro di Tomatis: il rapporto di interrelazione tra piattaforme, connessione e continuità narrativa sono caratteristiche che concorrono a fare di “Incantagioni” un mondo - narrativo e speculativo - sviluppato su due media. Attraverso interviste e nuove contaminazioni, il podcast sviluppa riflessioni complementari al libro. Incantagioni è un audio-essay in sette puntate che intreccia theory e fiction, mettendo apertamente in discussione il confine sottile che separa narrazione e speculazione. Il podcast che ne deriva è uno spazio sonoro in cui la vita di una ricercatrice immaginaria straborda in una realtà senza tempo, dove il magnetismo animale ottocentesco diventa una lente attraverso cui osservare le storpiature della contemporaneità capitalista. Quali magie e illusioni si nascondono tra i glitch del tecnocapitalismo?
