Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to Inside the Wedding Planner's Mind with Irene Tyndale,
Chief Event Officer of Irene Tyndale Weddings and Events. All right,
missus Tyndale, let's get to it.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Welcome to Inside the Wedding Planner's Mind, where we dive
deep into the heart, the hustle, and the real stories
behind the business of wedding planning. I'm your hosts Irene Tyndale, planner,
coach and educator for wedding planners. Ready to build profitable,
purposeful businesses with faith and strategy. Let's get into it, hey,

(00:33):
sister in planning. This episode is different. It's not a
lesson or a strategy breakdown. This is personal. This is
a letter from my heart to yours, to the wedding
planner of color.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
I see you.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
You're out here doing extraordinary work, often without a blueprint,
a roadmap or a safety net. You're planning, leading, and
creating beauty from care chaos all why caring so much
more than what's written in your contracts. You are showing
up with grace in rooms that weren't designed with you
in mind, and it is exhausting. It's isolating. When I

(01:14):
first started my business. Twelve years ago. There weren't many
resources out there for us, no step by step road
maps on how to grow a planning business rooted in faith,
culture and excellence, no clear guidance on how to scale
without burning out. I was piecing things together from blog posts,
free rebinars, and advice that didn't reflect the reality of

(01:37):
my world. But God he didn't let me do it alone.
He sent people to guide me. One of the first
was Tiffany Soa. She was a business coach who reminded
me to pray over my business and see it as
a ministry, not just a service, but a calling. Her
coaching taught me to lead with vision and cover every

(01:59):
decision and prayer.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
That was and still is my foundation.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Janelle Boyd passed the torch when she stepped away from
the Planet Suite conference. She didn't just leave a void.
She issued a silent invitation and I accepted it. Becoming
the Business Retreat for wedding Planners was born from that
call to continue the work, to serve, to lead, and
to lift other planners of colors with intention, education and sisterhood.

(02:29):
And Brandy Garr, my current coach, looked me in the
eyes and said something I didn't even know. I needed
to hear. You are necessary, And in that moment, I
knew coaching planners wasn't just something I could do, it
was something I was called to do. She continues to
push me to know my numbers, to leave with integrity,

(02:51):
and did to show up fully. There have been many
more women who poured into me, mentored me, corrected me,
and reminded me that excellence is not a privilege, it's
our standard. Because of them, I pour into you. But
here's what I've noticed, and I say this was so
much love. Many of us, especially women of color, struggle

(03:15):
with investing in ourselves, not because we're not smart or capable,
but because fear creeps in. Maybe it's past experiences. Maybe
we didn't grow up seeing women who look like us
investing in coaching, mentorship, or personal development. So we hesitate,
we overthink, we question our worth, we delay decisions, and

(03:37):
we stay stuck in cycles we were never meant to
stay in. But I've also noticed what happens when planners
say yes, yes to help, yes to mentorship, yes to becoming.
They grow, They lead, they thrive because mentorship isn't a luxury,
it's a lifeline, and I want that for you too.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
But listen closely. That fear is a lie. It is
a trick of the enemy.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
It isolates you, it keeps you stuck, and it keeps
you small. Listen, even Jesus, who needed no one, chose
to walk with twelve. So why do we think we're
supposed to do this alone? See, asking for help is
not weakness, sister, it's wisdom, it's strength, it's faith in action.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
I don't speak from the wound.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
I speak from the scar, healed, restored and full of testimony.
I teach from the other side of it. And my
heart's desire is for you to have a business that
reflects your brilliance, to walk confidently in your calling. I
want you to stop shrinking, I want you to stop
waiting for permission, and I want you to believe fully

(04:51):
that you belong here. So if this episode stirred something
up in you, don't let that feeling fade.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
DM me tell me your vision, tell me.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
What you're building, what you're carrying, and what's in your
heart for your life and your business.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Let's start the conversation.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Because I believe in you, because I see you, and
because you are necessary We may be the first in
our families to do this, we may be the only
one in the room sometimes, but we won't be the last.
Let's become everything God called us to be together. I
love you, sister, talk to you soon. Thanks for listening

(05:34):
to Inside the Wedding Planner's Mind. And if this episode
blessed you, share with the fellow planner. And if you're
ready for coaching or need more information about our retreat,
check out the link and the bio and then the
show notes. And until next time, keep shining, keep showing up,
keep building, and keep becoming.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
I love you, God bless
