Speaker 2 (00:21):
There was a day when peachery moves just about to
stop class when one of my students, this little girl,
walked up to me crying. So I beat down and
I asked why as she said that one of a
(00:44):
class Mace, didn't want to be friends with her anymore.
She was only six. But as young as you are,
you understand as I understand, that it's always nice and
it's important to have friends. Friendships are important. I remember
(01:12):
when I was in pre school and primary school and
high school and all the school stuff, that I really
wanted to connect with other people. I wanted to have friends,
and I still do want to have friends. I have
a few now, but friendships are so important. But remember this,
(01:40):
not everybody will become your friends. Not everyone will be
your friends, or even if they will be, they may
not be in your life for a long time. They
(02:00):
could only be just friends in school for one two
years and then we move on. So if you feel bad,
just know that you can't please everybody. You can't be
(02:20):
friends with everybody, and not everyone's going to be your friends.
And it's okay. It's okay to do other things and
worry about having friends or being friends with everyone, and
(02:41):
when it comes to you, you get to tubes. So
going back to the topic of that incident in class,
I to that student, I said, and that's okay, young lady.
(03:08):
You don't have to be friends with everybody. The most
important thing is you must be your own friend friends.
And imagine why other people say do you make you
(03:29):
upset like not wanting to bevery friend of yours? The
most important thing is how you feel about yourself. If
they say I don't want to be your friend because
you're just not nice, You're not pretty, you're not good,
you're you're big, you're yore, it's everything they say. As
(03:51):
long as you choose to be amazing, regardless of what
you do, you will have friends. Maybe not now, maybe
not soon, but you will in time. Don't let someone
(04:13):
else's opinion define you're worth just because you don't have
friends right now, or you're not friends someone you want
to be friends with right now doesn't mean you are
less than you are incredible and those people are just
not there for your incredibility. Be the way you are,
(04:38):
be amazing the amazing you, and you don't need anyone
to be your friends to show you how amazing you
are and can be so. When you're upset and if
you've got no friends, you feel like no one wants
to be a friend of yours, to focus on the
people who want to be with you, who appreciate you.
(05:04):
After you learn that you want to be with yourself
and appreciate yourself, be courageous, be brave, be kind, be
patient with yourself, and then have a confidence to be yourself.
You're in control of your happiness. You decide you don't
(05:26):
want to be my friend, that's okay. I can be
my friend. I can have other friends your choice. Your
actions used to be amazing to yourself, and it's okay
if no one wants to the earth friend, Oh it
doesn't matter. How you've got you. You are so capable
(05:48):
of being great and resilient and kind and believe in
yourself because I feature a mill believes me. I'm your friend.
You got me, you got me here, Stay awesome.
