So, as i'd like to saya new day, a new opportunity,
a day we've not seen for touse our intuition to prospect this wonderful
world around us. Are we readyto go prospecting? I know that I
am. So. We've had alot of guests, like I said,
(05:10):
some amazing guests here on Inspired VRadio the last oh jes seven or eight
episodes, and I haven't done apodcast, and I wanted to talk about
a little bit about my journey andwhat has unfolded for me this last year,
including a major life changing surgery tomy back, to my spine that
(05:30):
caused a direction in my career,a retirement, if you will, at
semi retirement, and also the healingthat has come with that and the transformation
and the wisdom that comes from that. So on today's episode, we're going
to be talking about the spiritual journeyand navigating the depths of the soul because
I feel for the last you know, ten months from twenty twenty three coming
into twenty twenty four, it hasreally been a spiritual journey for myself,
(05:54):
but also navigating the depths of thesoul through you know, through pain,
through suffering, but also gaining strengthand wisdom for the journey, the spiritual
journey. I've found that when thisopened up to me years ago, because
I wasn't always spiritual. And forthose of you that follow my journey and
my work, you know, abouttwo decades ago I went I shifted from
(06:15):
religion to spiritualism. And the waythat I like to define spiritualism if you
break the word down, spirit andthen ism, which is inside of me.
It was more about my journey ofwhy I'm here, my purpose,
my passions, my plan, andwhat you know, the events that had
surrounded me at that time, reallyquestioning my journey, my mortality, you
(06:41):
know, life after death, whathappens when we die. And so that's
how I really became interested in spiritualism. But I always like to break the
word down and say spirit and thenism, which is inside of me.
And over the course of the time, I found that the spiritual journey in
my prospecting. And this is youknow, for everybody listening, this is
(07:01):
always going to be a choice thatyou're going to choose to do. This
is free will and choice of maybeyou're struggling right now, maybe you've lost
you know, a family member,a friend, or a fur baby.
Maybe you've had a career change,maybe you've had an injury, maybe you've
had to go through a major surgery. All of these things can be part
of your spiritual journey, and itcan be very profound and very very transformative
(07:26):
experience. But what it does itinvites us as individuals, as souls to
explore the depths of who we are, of our being, to seek inner
peace, to connect with something greaterthan ourselves. And it took me many
years to come to this wisdom,to come to this knowledge, and of
course going through many different soul adventures, some wonderful, some not so wonderful,
(07:48):
but I found that it is apilgrim of self discovery where we can
embark on a path of enlightenment, growth, and transcendence into the various aspects
of not just my spiritual journey, and it's it's significance to where I'm just
talking to you today on the air, but how it shapes our lives.
(08:11):
And again, this is always goingto be You may hear this episode live
right now, or you may catchit on a podcast a year or two
years from now, but it reallyis about your journey of free will and
choice of what am I doing here? What can I do with the time
that I have? You know,we talk about that unseen clock. Us
as humans love to, you know, measure our life by time on the
(08:33):
construction of the time itself, youknow, twenty four hours in a day,
and we have our watches and wehave to show up at certain times
to do certain things. But whatabout that unseen clock, that clock that
says, Okay, Mark, youcame into the world in nineteen seventy two,
Mark, when are you going toleave this world? And I've found
in this journey of enlightenment and growthand transcendence that it really is about breaking
(09:00):
down into a few categories and againcoming back to that free will and choice.
When you hear this episode, youmay be like, I'm kind of
curious to where I want to gowith this. You know, I wasn't
sure if I want to, youknow, go down spiritualism. It could
be something that scares me. It'sgive me something that you know, maybe
it doesn't fit within your religious doctrine, or maybe you're not religious at all,
(09:22):
maybe you're an agnostic. I knowat times I'm still agnostic. I
want proof of what is not seen, but I've also learned just because we
don't see, it doesn't mean it'snot there. You know, you can
apply science to spiritualism. And that'swhat I love about spiritualism is, you
know, you take the microscope, the telescope that James Webb telescope. There's
a lot of things that we don'tsee, but we know they exist based
on how science shows us and provesto us. And that's what I love
(09:46):
about spiritualism. But you may evenbe agnostic or atheist, and that's fine
too, because it's about your journey. And again today's episode is the spiritual
journey about navigating the depths of yoursoul. And you know, one of
the things that I first when Ifirst started down this path, jeez,
like I said two decades ago,I can't believe they third be in two
decades. One of the people thatI first started to follow was Ramdas and
(10:07):
he would talk about this place beingthe womb. This place is actually our
chance to learn and to grow theuniversity of life, if you will.
So we always think about the wombthat we're in. When our mothers carried
us for nine months and we breathedliquid and then we would incarnate into a
physical form, and in that physicalform. Ram Das talked about how this
(10:30):
experience is the womb of growth,of learning, and know, we come
out, we're not breathing liquid anymore, We're breathing air. And then you
know, the energy that's in ourheart allows us to vibrate in this frequency
of incarnation. Now when we decarnate, which means the energy in your heart
is going to move away from thephysical flesh body, the matter of flesh,
(10:52):
if you will, and we decarnateinto a different form caterpillar through the
cocoon to the butterfly. But whenhe said that, it just it really
kind of just sat with me,like, Wow, maybe this is the
womb of our learning experiences again, surgery, loss of family members, murder,
everything that I've gone through in thelast you know, thirty years,
(11:13):
that has really awakened me to thisspiritual journey, this spiritual quest, and
this transformative experience. And he alwaysthought, he always talked about dying is
the most important moment in any carnation. Let me say that again, dying
is the most important moment in anycarnation. And when I first heard that,
I'm like, well, what doeshe mean by that? Because I
think a lot of us, youknow, we have that fear of the
(11:35):
unknown, fear of what we don'tunderstand, can lead us to that fear.
I know for many years in areligious mindset that I was very fearful
of death. I think more abouthow I was going to die, you
know, what would be my whatI suffer, what I you know,
one of my fears is am Igoing to be buried alive? You know?
And I think we have a reallygood imagination of what our death can
(11:56):
look like, but we don't knowuntil that actually happens. But he being
the most important moment because it's inthe decarnation. And if this is,
if this plane, this frequency andthis vibration is the womb, then dying
is not the end. Dying isthe next transformation into the next step.
And you know the process of dyingthat does not overwhelm you. I don't
(12:18):
want to scare you here. It'sjust I don't want to overwhelm you.
But you want to be conscious ofit. And it's a it's a plane
of what he described as incredible light, incredible peace, incredible love, and
really, at the end of theday, the physical death is the birth
of a spiritual life, and thosewere very profound words to me at a
(12:39):
time when I was suffering with greatgrief and loss and trauma of the loss
of my brothers in the same wayto murder and brain cancer and my father
in law to multiple scrosses all atthe same time. So it is very
overwhelmed, and that's what opened myspiritual journey. That's when my spiritual journey
began, and actually navigating the depthsof my soul to be able to talk
with you day. So let's talkabout how this spiritual journey, its significance
(13:03):
and how it can shape our lives. And we want to start, of
course with the body, the incarnationof the body. We're in the physical
flesh suit, the matter that vibratesat this frequency. And one of the
quotes that I first loved before Ibecame the intuitive prospector because I think we
all have intuition. I don't think, I know we all have intuition,
and it's up to us, forfree will and choice if we want to
(13:24):
prospect to go deeper. And itwas mister Joseph Campbell. I'm kind of
an acolyte of both Carl Jung andJoseph Campbell, and started reading their books
and the psychology, and he alwaystalked about the cave you fear to enter
holds that treasure you seek. Iwas like, oh, wow, I
guess I've got a few caves Igot to start exploring and prospecting for.
(13:45):
And that really opened me up todifferent teachers, different mentors, different books,
reading different books, and it reallystarted to have me just start with
my body, right because the bodyis where we're having all these experiences.
And it really became this call toseek. And I found that the spiritual
journey often begins with this deep yearningor a sense of relentlessness with oneself.
(14:11):
I was very uncomfortable. You know, I had never experienced having to go
through a murder trial for my brother. I had never experienced watching, you
know, two people I love dearlysuffer greatly from brain cancer multiple scrossis and
this relentness of well, what's goingto happen to me? And it's a
call for us to start seeking answers, purpose and a deeper understanding of the
(14:33):
many mysteries of life. And that'swhy I always talk about finding the diamond
within, but also the many gemsthat are around us in this very mystical
mystifying metaphysical world, and this initiallonging sets us on a path of self
reflection. It literally is questioning thenature of our existence and seeking a connection
(14:56):
with the divine. Now, forthose of you that follow my journey,
I don't try to tell you whatthe divine is. I don't try to
explain what God is because I don'tknow. It's like, you know,
me, as a human incarnate being, trying to explain something that I know
is there, but I don't knowhow to explain it. But it is
there from my own personal experiences andmy own near death experience and many out
of body experiences and working now todaywith plant medicines. So there is a
(15:20):
divine connection. And that divine connectionagain, whatever your perspective is, because
spiritualism is your ability to shift yourperspective, there is something on the other
side of this veil that we calldeath, but it is filled with imminent
light, love, connection, acceptance, healing, transformation. And when we
(15:41):
call to seek, and we arestarting with our body, we start to
explore different realms. And I alwayslike to say that you know, when
I'm talking, I offer things uplike a spiritual smorgas board or a spiritual
buffet. You know, think ofyourself going to a restaurant and there's this
huge buffet with all these different dishes, and you can pick and choose what
you want. Maybe you don't likethe mashed potatoes and you want the cream
(16:03):
corn. Maybe you don't like thebroccoli and you want the cauliflower. This
is what I'm doing on today's episode, is laying it out for you to
choose through your free will. Whatis a spiritual journey for you? And
how do you want to navigate thedepths of your soul. Maybe you're at
the depth of your soul where you'reat rock bottom, which there was many
times that I hit rock bottom, but I knew that rock bottom means I
(16:25):
can only get up and start toproceed and transcend and assent. As the
Japanese proverb goes, we get knockeddown seven, we stand up eight.
And that's what that life being inthis womb of life that rom Dos talked
about, is your call to seek. And what we start to do is
we through this yearning of a senseof restlessness, we start to embark and
(16:45):
prospect these what I would call exploringinner realms. We embark on this spiritual
journey, and we are invited intoinner realms of consciousness. I know when
I started to seek and prospect allthese new doors that I want, you
know, oh, psychic and mediumshipand healing and vibration and frequency, all
these doors started to open up.But I had to move past my own
(17:06):
ego. I had to move pastmy own learned behaviors, my own religious
dogmas and indoctrination to be like,Okay, do I really want to open
this door? Do I want toexplore this inner realm? You know?
That cave that I feared started toreally, as Joseph Campbell talked about,
it, did hold the treasure thatI was seeking. And one of the
(17:26):
biggest things was through meditation. MeditationI actually started to learn in my graduate
studies in sports medicine at the Universityof Washington. I never intended to go
down a meditative path because I wasgetting my degree in sports medicine and human
performance. But it was through thatcourse that I started to actually be taught
how to meditate. And that iswhen that dormant door, that door of
(17:49):
intuition, opened up, and itallowed me to connect with my brothers for
the first time in many years now. That scared the crap out of me
because again restart to question the egowants to protect, and I'm thinking,
geez, have I gone crazy?Have I lost my mind? A my
schizophrenic? All these different things, the what if world, if you will.
But then as I started to godeeper and exploring these inner realms,
(18:11):
I started to have introspection and selfawareness practices. It said, no,
you're not crazy, that you areexpanding, you're transforming, your frequency has
changed, and you know, itreally is that statement that talks about what
the caterpillar calls the end of theworld through the metamorphosis, the de liquefying
of the cocoon, that the butterflycalls a whole new world. And it
(18:36):
was scary, it was, youknow, But exploring these inner realms helped
me to unravel the layers of conditioningand social expectations that have shaped not only
my identity but your identity. Andin this process, as I cultivated a
deeper connection with my true self. Some call it the higher self, some
(18:56):
called that the divinity, the divinitywithin the God's spark. Whatever your definition
is, it helps us to discoverour passions, our value in our authentic
purpose and through that as I startedthe call to seek exploring the inter realms,
cultivating mindfulness and presence. The spiritualjourney encourages the cultivation of mindfulness and
(19:18):
presence in our daily lives. AndI say daily because this is all we
have. Eckhart totally great book, and I'm going to be given some book
references throughout the episode. The Powerof Now, It's another book that I
started to read in my early spiritualjourney, was The Power of Now.
The Monk who sold his Ferrari ifyou want to check that out, and
(19:38):
The Four Agreements, who, bythe way, has been a guest Don
Miguel Rees who has been a guestof Inspired Living radio in the past,
And those are the three books thatI really started to explore. But through
that that daily life, it's areminder that we're in the present moment and
that's all we have. That isthe true power of nineteen seats for the
(20:00):
future that's never guaranteed to anybody. And what that did is it started to
open up not only my spiritual practice, my spiritual journey, but you know,
starting to cultivate to have a podcastlike Inspired Living. Eight years later,
eight seasons later, and so bycultivating mindfulness and presence in our daily
lives, again, what you havetoday is what matters by bringing awareness to
(20:22):
that present moment. And that's whatEckhart totally talked about. The present moment.
Our mind, our ego, ourintelligence is so good at looking back
at what we should have done ordidn't do, and is so great of
imagination that Einstein talked about this alot, that our imagination is great power,
but it also helps us to lookforward to a future that we think
we know how it's going to turnout, but it usually doesn't turn out
(20:44):
how we envision that, right. That's why Einstein said, this three pound
brain in the human head is oneof the most complex systems in the entire
universe. So as you start torewire your brain and you start to cultivate
mindful and presence, whether it's throughbeing in nature, whether it's meditating,
whether it's journaling, introspection, yoga, chie gong, all of these can
(21:08):
cultivate a mindfulness and a presence inthe present moment. And what that does
is by bringing awareness to the presentmoment, we learn to let go of
attachments to the past and or worriesof our future. And it's through these
practices, like I said, suchas meditation, such as breath work,
breath work, we forget about howimportant the breath is. Now you can't
(21:32):
see me here in my studio, but I have a new tattoo on my
left forearm that is actually the sanscriptof the symbol of breath the journey in
when we come into this womb ofthis physical plane, what do we do
we take in that first inhalation andwhat is the last thing we're going to
do when we decarnate and leave thisphysical plane to go to that next step,
(21:52):
that next stage, whether that's aheaven, the afterlife, I like
to call it summer land, butit's that breath is so important and I
found such transformative work, whether throughsoma breath work or whim Hoff and cold
therapy, breath work. Breath workis fully available if you want it,
(22:15):
and you know it can be veryquite healing and transformative if you you know,
cultivate a practice and a presence aroundjust your own breath work. And
you know, it's just a reminderfor me that I talked about heaven,
that heaven isn't a location many humansthink that heaven is up and hell is
down, or at least that's whatI was taught in a religious doctrine and
(22:36):
a religious dogma. But we're ona round planet, so you can't go
up or down metaphysically on a roundplanet. And you start to realize that
the spirit world isn't a place thatyou go to, the spirit world is
here right now, and it's abouthow you open up your your doors of
prospecting and let go of your egoto start connecting to these inner realms if
you will. So I always liketo say, heaven isn't a location.
(22:57):
Heaven is a vibration. And whenwe cultivate mindfulness and being in the present
moment through like I said, meditation, breath work, mindfulness exercises, we
develop the capacity to fully experience eachmoment with clarity, gratitude, and acceptance.
And that acceptance part is heard, especially if you're in pain, or
(23:17):
you are in you know, lossand greeting or uncertainty or depression or anxiety.
Everything I can speak to, I'vechecked check marked all those boxes through
my spiritual journey. But what happensis we start to embrace transformation and growth
and the spiritual journey is a pathof transformation and growth. As we dive
(23:40):
into the depths of our being,we start to confront our fears, We
start to go into those caves thatwe feared. Is be like, oh
wow, that is a treasure thatI've been seeking. You know, sometimes
it's our insecurities, our lack ofconfidence, our limiting beliefs. We see
that a lot in today's society.You know, if you're on a spiritual
journey, you kind of look outthe window and if you're so brave to
(24:02):
turn on the news cycle or geton social media something that I've really have
taken this step back from this lastyear, you realize that there is a
transformation taking place within our society. There's a lot going on from the wars
that we see, the political, the divide, the planet itself, and
that can be quite overwhelming. Butif you embrace it as a transformation and
(24:23):
growth not just for the human consciousnessof human species, but Mother Earth,
then the spiritual journey is actually startingto take root in your life. And
as we dive into the depths ofour being, we start to confront those
fears, insecurities and limiting beliefs andwhat I like to call this inner exploration
aka prospecting. Again, prospecting canbe hard if you don't have the right
(24:45):
tools, the right mindset, theright location, and you're digging, digging,
it can be quite overwhelming and exhaustingand dirty. But through that hard
work, when you find that diamond, whether it's within yourself or the diamond
out in this world, it isworth all of that hard work that you're
doing. And what that does isthis inner exploration allows us to heal our
(25:07):
past wounds. It allows us torelease emotional baggage and embrace our innate potential.
Through this process, we evolve intothe best versions of ourself and embodying
qualities such as compassion, resilience, and authenticity. And what that does is
(25:32):
that starts to connect you with thedivine, whatever you define the divine to
be, whatever your perspective of thedivine is. But at the heart of
the spiritual journey lies the quest forconnecting with something greater than ourselves. Again,
whether it be through religious practices, nature, personal beliefs, we seek
(25:55):
a sense of transcendence and communication andcommunion with this divine and this connection provides
in at least it's provided for menow that I've surrendered, and you know,
as Buddha would say, you knowyou got to let that stuff go.
It provides a place of solace,It provides a place of guidance,
(26:15):
and it provides a sense of purpose, allowing us to navigate life's many challenges
with grace, patience, and ofcourse wisdom. And I found that the
spiritual journey is a transformative odyssey thatinvites individuals like ourselves to embark on a
(26:36):
path of self discovery, growth andconnection with this divine. It's a journey
of seeking, exploring inner realms, cultivating mindfulness, embracing transformation, and connecting
with something greater than ourselves. Andas we navigate this journey, we do
find solace, purpose and a deepsense of fulfillment. So I hope you
know as we go into our firstbreak, our only break, that you'll
(26:59):
embark on this safe pilgridge pilgrimage anduncover the treasures, the diamonds, and
the many gems that lie within oursouls, but also within a world in
which we actually prospect every day inthe present moment. So stick around,

if you're interested in continue to followalong. So one of the books that
I was talking about that today we'retalking about the spiritual journey and navigating the
depths of our soul was a bookthat you may have heard of, called
The Alchemists by Paulo Kolo, andhe really kind of opened up my mind
(31:18):
and my mindfulness to fear and thethings that hold us back based on fear.
Now, over the course of thespiritual journey, I started to equate
fear as an acronym, and Ibreak it down two ways. So if
you think of fear fear as anacronym, the first part is that false
evidence appearing real, and we seea lot of that in today's society.
(31:41):
We do. We see a lotof fear based through our movies, through
our cultural cycles of social media, through our media. I mean, you
know, if you go you're onTikTok and you see something that's bad,
a lot of us like to tunein. You know. I would notice,
as from my days in firefight andwe get the looky lose it when
you know we're trying to help somebody, rescue somebody, save somebody, and
everybody wants to gather around and watchand be this LOOKI Lou, I think
(32:02):
that's just part of the human humancondition, human nature. But I also
realize that fear is also a bigseller in today's today's world. And so
when something is fear based for myspiritual journey, that wisdom that I've been
talking about, if you choose togo down this path is like, wait
a minute, that's fear based energy. And that's what Paula was talking about
in The Alchemist, that there isonly one thing that makes a dream impossible
(32:24):
to achieve, and that is thefear of failure. And failure is also
an acronym that I love to useis fai L is first attempt in learning.
So we have fear falsive and andsupperian real fail You should fail every
single day of your life and begrateful that you're failing because it helps you
to learn first attempt at learning. And then on the other side of this
(32:45):
is I turn fear into a positiveface everything and rise. And when I
read that book The Alchemist, thatreally started to plant seeds for my mindfulness
today and my spiritual journey today. And he also talked about in The Alchemists
quote don't give in to your fears. If you do, you won't be
(33:07):
able to talk to your heart endquote. Think about that, don't give
into your fears. If you do, he won't be able to talk to
your heart. So you know, these quotes and these books and these inner
realms that I started to explore thatI talked about in the first half of
the show really started to broaden myperspective and it really changed me from a
(33:30):
religious person to a spiritual person. And you know, even a Aristotle talked
about this quote, he who hasovercome his fears will truly be free.
And I can say that you knowtoday, based on the teachings and the
readings and the guidance, you know, there is a sense of freedom.
Even you know, there's still pain, there's still lessons. We call them
life lessons, and not all lifelessons are fun. But it's through these
(33:52):
lessons that we grow stronger, wego deeper, we find our purpose of
why we're here. Another quote thatcomes from from the Alchemist is quote and
one who had and one who hasto understand that braveness is not the absence
of fear, but rather the strengthto keep on going forward despite the fear.
(34:14):
And that's that's very very powerful stuffto tune into. So some of
the tips I want to give youto day, because this second half hour
is going to go by so quickfor your spiritual journey and again I've got
a couple I've already thrown out acouple book recommendations if you're interested on opening
up these doors of knowledge, wisdom, guidance, transformation. One of the
(34:35):
books that I'm currently reading right nowis called The Lost Years of Jesus by
Elizabeth Clare Prophet, and it's actuallya journey about writings of how Jesus went
to different lands to learn, includingIndia, Nepal, to learn about meditation,
to learn about healing, and it'sa very different perspective, something you
will not find in scripture. AndI can say that I have read the
(34:59):
Bible and you have studied. Inmy group, we've studied the top ten
religions around the world, and you'llfind that the messages are very similar in
nature. But it's a very fascinatingbook to read about actual ancient writings from
India to Tibet to Nepal about howJesus traveled there. Because you always hear
about Jesus one time in the OldTestament when he was twelve, I believe,
(35:19):
and then you start to hear abouthis journey when he was in his
thirties thirty three, I believe. And I've always questioned, like, well,
we have all these writings about himat that time, what about all
the writings of what he did upto if he was such an amazing person,
which he was, But what didhe do before that? So that's
a perspective to read about what hedid to study the many pathways, very
(35:39):
ancient ways of other traditions, notjust Christianity. So good perspective if you
want to turn into that or tuneinto that. Another book that really opened
my mind was called Van Sittha's Yoga, and this is by Swami Then can
then can ten son Nada say thatthree times fast? I can never say
(36:02):
his name. But what it is, it's for those who aspire to hire
wisdoms. It's a storehouse of wisdom. It's a very big book. I
still haven't finished this one. It'sthat's how big it is. But it's
it's really a trans translation of youknow what it is on our spiritual journey
(36:27):
that's been written over the course ofmany, many centuries. And I found
it to be very enlightening book andsomething you're gonna have to take your time
with. Like I said, it'svery thick and you're not going to read
it in one city and you're goingto probably take like myself, it's going
to take some time to read throughthat. Another book that I love is
The Art of Living by Tick notHount. This book is really an easy
(36:52):
read, uh, and it's ifyou know who Tick not Haunt is,
the monk who helps with you know, peace and every step of your journey
and your spiritual journey. So thoseare a couple of books that have on
my bookshelf in front of me.The other one is The University of Spiritualism
by a pioneer in spiritualism by thename of mister Harry Buddington. And this
(37:15):
book is it's an authoritative book. It's a three year course on all aspects
of spiritualism that was prepared by thisauthor for his students, and he spent
over forty years in his preparation andit's involved studying, you know, comparative
religion, science, philosophy, ethics, logic, and political economy. And
it's a really great read, youknow, The University of Spiritualism because he
(37:37):
takes all aspects of religions and looksat all different perspectives which at the end
of the day, your free ownchoice is going to give you which path
you want to choose based on theknowledge you have. So here are some
tips for the spiritual journey. Ifyou're if you're new to it, you're
just you know, halfway through it. You've been on the journey in this
path for a long time. Isset an intention? When you set an
(38:00):
intention, I found that energy followsintention. Our thoughts become our words.
Our words become our actions, ouractions become our behaviors. Our behaviors become
our destiny. And when we setan intention, clarify your purpose. Ask
for what you want, think forwhat you want. And if you clarify
your purpose and what you hope togain from your spiritual journey, what do
you want to gain from this?Maybe you don't know that answer to that
(38:22):
question. This will help guide theactions and keep you focused. And what
I found when you set intentions,my goodness, doors open up people,
different people, friends come into yourlife, because friends leave your life,
family same same thing you start.Your vibration changes and your relationships will change.
So don't get down on yourself becausethe spiritual path can be a lonely
(38:45):
place at first, But when youset intentions, many doorways, teachers,
mentors, classes, That's how Ifound this to be. Oh, okay,
this is very interesting and what thatdoes is it would help with my
actions, keep me focused. Andthen at the end of the day,
you will and choice do I wantto go to a college in England to
study psychic and mediumship, which I'vebeen doing now for the last decade and
(39:06):
have met many great people and amazingteachers and have learned a lot about the
ways of both psychic sciences and healingand mediumship and connecting. The mediumship is
connecting with those that have lived thephysical, incarnate life, pass through death
and we have the ability to connectwith our spiritual decarnate loved ones, whether
(39:27):
that be friends, family, orfur babies. And it's been quite an
interesting journey. And again I alwayssay, we don't have to go to
the spirit world. The spirit worldis here, fully, you know,
we're immersed in it. But it'sabout our body and what we do with
the tools that we have that allowsus to open up and connect and to
vibrate into a sin to connect tothat knowledge. If you will practice mindfulness,
(39:49):
if you cultivate a present moment awarenessof your thoughts, feelings, and
sensations, this can again be donethrough meditation, deep breant breathing exercises,
getting out in nature. Like Isaid, you know, I've recently had
the experience of working with ancient plantmedicines and that has really been a mind
opener. And you want to talkabout the veil being lifted, and I'm
(40:12):
excited to do it again here laterthis year, and it's helped with my
transformation of my healing, and youknow, it just it's it just helps
you to pay attention to the presentmoment. So if you're in that mindset,
you know that you're you know,in a place of negativity or depression
or anxiety or uncertainty or anger.Come back to the present moment and you
(40:35):
can switch that. One of thethings I found was moving my attitude towards
gratitude, things that I am thankfulfor, things that I can look around
and go, you know what,I do have a roof over my head,
I do have clean drinking water.I took a hot shower today.
I'm not involved in an intense warwhere people are dying every single day in
other parts of the world. Soyou can find, you know, gratitude,
and you'll find that your frequency changes, your field changes, your mindset
(41:00):
changes. So these are some ofthe tips for the spiritual journey. So
set an attention, practice mindfulness, seek knowledge, read books some of the
books that I'm giving you. Anotherbook that I have right here is called
The Unfolding Universe by the author ArthurFinley, who is the Arthur Finley College
in Stanstead, England, which isabout forty minutes north of London, and
(41:22):
it's a college dedicated and it's areally great Why I find this to be
one of his greatest books because itgives a very comprehensive picture of the universe
as revealed by spiritualism. It's bothhis philosophy and his psychic experiences for all
human desires as to life and toconduct on earth and our destiny after death.
(41:45):
So that's a really good book.Again, it's called Arthur Finley,
The Unfolding Universe, and it's somethinga book I read a few years ago
and I've picked it up from timeto time. I read about a book
a week because I get a lotof books too. For upcoming shows and
the guests, Like I said, all the guests we had previous to this
podcast, with me being the guest, we're all based on books that people,
(42:05):
pr firms and other people had sentto me, and you know,
I read through them, gloss throughthem, summarized through them, and there's
just you know, so this isseeking knowledge and you can do that by
reading books. And a lot ofpeople don't read anymore, unfortunately, but
there's a lot of knowledge that hasbeen written down through the centuries and you
can really get some really great knowledgeif you start to read some books,
(42:28):
attend workshops. I remember when Iwas first on my spiritual journey. This
would have been in two thousand andtwo thousand and nine, two thousand and
eight, and I was invited downto learn from a amazing teacher by the
name of Lisa Williams and Dallas,Texas, and it was a workshop based
on psychic and mediumship. I knewnothing about the subjects, nothing, nothing,
(42:52):
so something just you know, thatinner calling said do it, and
I did, went down and learneda lot. I had my first mediumship
experience with my own subjective. Youknow, as mediums receive the world two
ways, subjective and subjective subjectives inour mind, which I started to experience.
But I also had my first objectivewhich I saw with my physical eye
(43:15):
and that was my cousin and myuncle standing in the spirit world. And
again the mind, you know, are the eyes playing tricks on me?
But I saw them with my ownphysical eyes. And that's when I really
became a true believer that there issomething beyond this physical flesh suit. And
that was because I took the courage, the lack of fear to go down
to a workshop in Dallas, Texaswith Lisa Williams. And it's from there
(43:37):
I started to learn about different workshops, y Omega Institute, the Arthur Finley
College, some of the events inplaces around here in the Pacific Northwest.
And so it's just when you startto open that door and go down it,
it usually leads to more connections andmore doors opening, and it allows
you to explore different spiritual teachings todeepen your understanding of both spiritualism and find
(44:00):
what resonates with you. I'm notsaying you have to follow spiritualism. Spiritualism
is a pathway that has many differentchoices and it's what resonates with you at
the end. So what resonates withyou another big one. So set an
attention, practice mindfulness, seek knowledge, connect with nature as a spiritualist.
(44:22):
Our three truths are light, truth, and nature. Nature is a big
part of the pathway. If youspend time in nature to connect, reconnect
with the natural world and experience asense of on wonder, if you take
walks, if you hype or simplysit and observe the beauty around you,
that is going to be part ofthe spiritual journey. And some tips,
like I said, I you know, with my recent experience with plant medicine
(44:45):
was completely out in nature, offgrid way back, didn't even have we
had a compost toilets. And youknow, it's that experience with my plant
medicine of healing that I really gotto connect with nature in a way that
I've never I have never had before, and I do a lot of you
know, as a Taurus, I'mearth bound is a sign, and so
(45:07):
I very connect with trees and thewind and nature and getting on in hikes.
But this connection with plant medicine reallyconnected me to a deeper sense of
nature and I'm looking forward to doingit again. Like I said, one
of the tips is cultivating gratitude.Practice gratitude by acknowledging and accepting and appreciating
(45:27):
the blessings that are in your life. It can change your mindset when you're
feeling down, this can help shiftyour focus to a positive, more upbeat,
more healthy sense of contentment with whereyou're at. And you know,
life throws a lot of stuff atus. You know, I'm not naive
or blind to that, like Isaid. You know, my path started
with the murder of my little brotherMichael, and you know, three days
later the diagnosis of terminal brain cancerwith my older brother Todd. So I'm
(45:52):
not you know, naive that theworld can be a vampire, as that
song goes, But it's about howyou cultivate and continue to journey through with
courage, with you know, fear, But like I said, that fear
is face everything and rise and thebravery to do so. So cultivating gratitude
can really help you find a community. Like I said, the spiritual path
(46:14):
can be a very lonely place becauseyou're starting to transform. You're that catapult
that's moving into the butterfly effect, and not everybody's going to be on the
same wavelength, not on the samevibration, not on the same scale.
So when you find a community, surround yourself with like minded individuals, not
a cult. You still have yourfree will and choice, and there's a
lot of cults out there. Youknow, don't just go what somebody blindly
(46:36):
tells you. You know, youhave to use your intuition as well.
But when you find a community,it just helps you share similar interests and
this can provide support, guidance, and opportunities for both growth and learning.
That's why I started my Spiritual DevelopmentGroup years ago, same time I started
Inspired Living eight years ago. Ihave an online group called Spiritual Development Group
(46:57):
s DG where I have people fromaround the country England and Wales and Canada
that have similar pathways or you know, have gone through similar journeys near death,
experience, out of body experience, severe loss and trauma and reconnect via
you know, zoom and on Wednesdaysbelieve it or not. And there's a
lot to be gained from that. So, you know, find a community.
(47:20):
Practice self care as well. Takecare of your physical, mental,
and emotional well being. Engage inactivities that nourish your soul, such as
journaling, practicing self compassion, engagingin creative pursuits, using your compassion and
your kindness to help somebody, youknow, that's what we're here for is
to help one another, and wedon't see a lot of that. We
do, but there's we see alot more negative in our world than we
(47:43):
do positive. Try to be thedifference of a positive person. You know.
One of examples I use I don'tI'm not a big fan of social
media, but I use my socialmedia platforms for platforms of positivity, to
encourage, to motivate, to help, think, you know, people think
outside the box to you know, offer you know, diamonds that may help
somebody. If you help one person, you're doing your job. And of
(48:06):
course, embrace uncertainty. Embracing uncertaintyin the spiritual journey is allowing yourself to
embrace the unknown and be open tonew experiences and perspectives. One of the
foundations I teach my students and mydevelopment group is trust and patience. You
have to have trust, You haveto have patience that your spiritual journey will
(48:28):
unfold in its own unique way.Us as humans are more real time,
on demand. We want it rightnow. It doesn't work that way.
Trust, patient, dedication, discipline, that's what will really unlock your spiritual
journey. So just remember everyone's spiritualjourney is unique to you, so trust
your intuition and follow what feels rightto you. One of the quotes that
(48:52):
I love is from Gandhi and hesays this, there is a force in
the universe with if we permit it, we'll flow through us and produce miraculous
results. Again, if we permitit, your free will and choice will
always dictate what you're going to allowand not allow. So let's see here.
(49:21):
I have one more thought for itas this, Like I said this,
the second half hour goes by sovery quickly. And you know,
as we explore, as we've beenexploring, I'm sure in some tips with
you today, and as we explorethe depths of our souls, and it's
again, you know, unique toeach and every one of you. But
it's a deeply personal and introspective journey, is what I would say. And
(49:46):
if you want to go deeper, like I said, if you choose to
to explore, to go deeper,to prospect or you know, my tagline
is dare to dream, dare toexplore, dare live and discover the diamond
within. And you explore your innerself and that self reflection. If you
take time to reflect on your thoughts, your emotions, and your experiences.
(50:07):
Again, you can do that throughjournaling, meditation, or simply just quiet
contemplation can help you gain insights toyour inner world mindfulness again, being fully
present in the moment, pay attentionto your thoughts, feelings, and sensations
without judgment. Where you're so goodof opinion and judgments. If you're in
that place of opinion and judgments, you're in your ego space. You're in
(50:28):
your ego mind. And if youcan move out and past that, this
can help you become more aware ofyour inner self and it can also cultivate
a deeper connection with your soul. That's what today's episode is about. Navigating
the depths of your soul. Seeksolitude. Many if you read the books
that I talked about and some ofthe references I given during this show,
(50:50):
a lot of the gurus would seeksolitude, including Jesus himself. Find moments
of solitude where you can be alonewith your thoughts. Some people don't want
to be alone with their thoughts.Ignorant is bliss, That's why we say
that. But if you can disconnectfrom any distractions i e. Your smartphone,
social media, the news cycles,if you can spend time away from
(51:13):
those distractions and spend time in natureand engage in creative activities, whether it's
painting, writing, singing, dancing, and you engage in any of these
activities that bring you joy and peace. This solitude is going to transform you
on your spiritual journey. Engage inself expression. Explore different forms of self
expressions, like I said, suchas art, writing, music, or
(51:36):
dance. These creative outlets can helpyou tap into your emotions and express your
innermost thoughts and feelings. And that'swhat I experienced with my recent experience with
plant medicine through the purge, throughthe connection to what I would call as
Grandmother, the divine, but thenthe dancing and the chanting and the singing
and something I'd never experienced before andnow I'm looking at I'll be honest,
(51:59):
it scared the crap, I mean, because my ego couldn't control an outcome,
and that fear energy that I talkedabout earlier did kick in. But
now that I've done that and Imoved past that fear and took courage to
do it, I'm looking forward tomy next connection with plant medicine and what
it's going to unfold and unlock andmore doors it's going to open. And
that's part of that self expression.Through that experience, I will be dancing
(52:20):
and singing and chanting and playing instruments, and you know, it's just it's
the journey that you have to chooseto do if you want to go deeper
with your soul again, practice selfcompassion, be kind and gentle with yourself.
Work from a place of grace, patience, trust, and as you
explore your inner self, embrace yourvulnerabilities and treat yourself with understanding and compassion.
(52:44):
That's very very important in the spiritualjourney. Remember, the journey of
exploring the depths of your soul isagain unique to you. Trust your intuition
and allow yourself the time and spaceto delve into the depths of your own
being. Very very important. Soread and reflect, you know, that's
(53:05):
another good one. Engage in deepreading and reflection. Explore books, poetry
and philosophical texts that you can relate, resonate with, and take the time
to contemplate and internalize the insights andideas presented in what you're reading. Connect
with others. So very important andengaging and meaningful conversations. I hope today's
show has been meaningful and that youare finding this engaging. Find mentors,
(53:29):
find trusted friends, therapists. Doyour own work as well. Therapists can
help you do that, provide Theycan provide valuable insights and perspectives. Sharing
your thoughts and experience with others candeepen yourself understanding and it can foster your
own personal growth. Again, exploreyour passions. Why are you here?
Engage in activities ignite your passion andbring you joy. Whether it's pursuing a
(53:51):
hobby, learning a new skill. For me, I'm learning Spanish than practicing
in four hundred and fifty five daystoday, and I'm actually starting to understand.
I don't speak it as well,I'm not as fluent as I like
to be, but I understand it. So that's, you know, exploring
a new skill or immersing yourself ina created project. These activities can help
you connect with your authentic self anduncover hidden aspects of your soul that you
(54:14):
didn't even know existed. Of course, face your shadows. Explore the shadow
self, which refers to the unconsciousnessand suppressed aspects of your personality. This
can involve in acknowledging and working throughpast traumas, fears, or negative patterns
of behavior which can be brought broughton by our parents, religion, loss.
The list goes on and on,but by facing it and grading integrating
(54:37):
these shadows, you can foster innerhealing and growth and transformation. And of
course, embrace the silence and stillness. Create moments of silence and stillness in
your daily life. This is probablythe most important for today's episode. This
can be through meditation, mindfulness, practicedness, deep breathing, or just simply
being present in the quiet solitude ofthe present moment. And embracing silence allows
(55:00):
you to listen to the wisdom ofyour own soul and connect with your innermost
desires and truths. Remember the journeyof exploring your soul as an ongoing process.
It requires patience, trust, selfcompassion, and a commitment to self
discovery. Embrace the journey with anopen heart, in an open mind,
and trust that it will lead youto a deeper understanding of yourself and a
(55:22):
more meaningful and authentic life. Sothat's today's episode. I hope that you
will explore your own spiritual journey andgo deeper in the depths of your own
soul, and until our next souladventure together, be kind, be caring,
be compassionate, and most importantly, wherever you're at and whatever part of
the journey you're on, dare todream, dare to explore, dare to
(55:45):
live, and I hope that youwill discover that diamond within. Until our
next time, be kind, takecare of yourself, and have a great
rest of your day. Now mistake
