Speaker 1 (00:06):
Hello everybody. This is doctor Cynthia Smith and this is
group hypnote Therapy from Intuitive Hypnotherapy, and this is the
recording on the Intuitive Hypnotherapy podcast. This is the third
week of our Treating and Healing Anxiety module and this

(00:35):
one is going to be about creating a foundation for
moving forward, Yes, and building lasting emotional resilience. What is that? Well,

(00:57):
if we go back to everything I've talked about since
day one, episode one, it's to use your tools. You
have energetic tools that I teach you. I recorded an
episode recently entitled how to Meditate and Become Psychic. I

(01:18):
don't really like that title, but that's what two buddies suggested,
so I might end up changing it. But it is
the meditation tools. It is the guided imagery tools, it
is the visualization tools. It is the tools that I
actually use in the hypnosis sessions. Why because they fricking work?

(01:40):
And what are they? The basics center of head grounding
cored bubble, which we will review moreover in building a
lasting emotional strengthen and resilience for your life. To help

(02:00):
you manage situations that might cause you to be anxious,
you need to learn to manage your own energetic field,
and that is with your bubble being in the center
of your head. What is the center of your head?
For we just imagine that we are a point of

(02:21):
light in the center of our heads, as if we're
looking at the world from behind our closed eyes. And
preferably the way I teach it is, whatever you're looking at,
make sure it's on the outside of your energy field. Okay,
it's really hard to read a paper when it's right here, right,
but if it's three feet out from you, much easiers

(02:43):
to read, right, especially if you can you read glasses.
So when you imagine that you're a point of light
in the center of your head and you're looking at
the world from behind your closed eyes. So if you

(03:05):
actually watch these videos, which is kind of boring because
it's just me with my eyes closed, that's where I am.
I'm in the center of my head guiding you through this.
If you're in session with me, I open my eyes
periodically just to check on you. But then I'm holding
space and then I'm in reading space. I'm doing a
clairvoyant reading while I'm giving you a hypnosis, hypnotherapy, guided

(03:29):
imagery hypnosis session. Yeah, it's powerful. Medicine, especially when yours
truly does it because I layer on so many things.
I used to not like the salads at a restaurant
called Menta Sine of Farms, and the reason was it
was like they have too much stuff on it. It's

(03:51):
so many flavors. It's hard to settle in. But now
I really like them, not all of them, but and
they do. They have a lot of stuff. You know,
You've got your lettuce, and then they'll have a meat
or a bean or fruit or something, and then they'll
have their coat or monks, and then their dressings and

(04:13):
then their sides. And this is just for a salad.
But they are delicious, let's see. So here I am
in the center of my head looking at where we're
going next. Oh yes, the bubble, the bubble, your energy field,

(04:34):
it's always there. We all have an energy field. You know,
when somebody's in your personal space, you know when they're
like they can be across the room and still give
you the ebygbis or sometimes make your heart go pit
or pat because their energy is in your energy field.

(04:56):
You can feel them. So we like to have mostly
just our own energy in our energy field. We always
get other people's energy in our energy fields always, it's
just part of how we interact with the universe. Those

(05:18):
of us that have tools know how to clear that out,
know how to declutter and in another session, not today,
if you've got a lot of energy from somebody else
and they're siphoning off your energy, they've probably corded in,

(05:39):
like sent a jumper cable your way. Yep. And from
time to time we may be the person coording into
somebody else. But again that's for another that's for another
class while we'll go into that deeper. And then the

(06:02):
third and really multi useful tool is our grounding cord.
I was originally taught there was a gal named Shockti GWayne,
and I listened to her meditations on cassette tape. So
this was back in the early nineties, like ninety ninety

(06:25):
one when I was in chiropractic college, and her visualization
of a grounding cord was like a tree trunk and
the roots growing down into the earth. Great, if that's
your point of reference, and if that works for you

(06:47):
in our tools, I like to ground to the center
of the earth. And you can imagine the center of
the earth is nothing. It can look like an ocean
or a field or something. If you want to visualize
the grounding cord, you know, centering and anchoring into something
where you can just imagine that it is just this
place where you can ground. And the reason we ground

(07:12):
to the center of the earth is because if you
think of everything that's going on on the planet in
different layers of the earth, some of us just don't
want to ground into that, right, So just I pass
that go all the way to the center, and we

(07:32):
postulate that the center is good old neutral territory. It's
a recycling facility of the highest accord. And when you ground,
you're tethered. You're anchored to Mother Earth, You're anchored to
something energetically bigger than us. Now, as a chiropractor, one

(07:54):
of the tools in our toolbox is muscle testing. Right,
do you need to be adjusted here? Are sensitive to gluten?
Are you sensitive to pallen? You know, those of you
that understand muscle testing will get that. But you can
muscle test before and after using a grounding court. And

(08:14):
again you're using your imagination. Your imagination the coolest turk
in the book. And so you can have somebody imagine
that they're grounded in the center of the earth, and
you can do a muscle test or push them with
two fingers and see how strong they are. If they're

(08:36):
with it, able to withstand being poked, you know, and
if so, once they're grounded, they're super strong. I use
this all the time, or I used to use this
all the time in yoga class when we were doing
balancing poses. So I would find that if I employed

(08:59):
my grounding cord, I would be able to hold a
standing pose or balancing pose longer if I was grounded,
if I was tethered to the center of the earth.
And what does that do? It helps us feel safe,
It helps us feel present right in the moment. But

(09:22):
the additional feature of our grounding chord is it also
our acts as a garbage shoot. So you can just
send stuff right down the grounding chord to the center
of the earth, the universal recycling center right of the
highest accord, the coolest thing on the earth plane and

(09:47):
anything you want feer poverty consciousness. Maybe somebody whacked you
and that ouch is still in your space, or the
intention behind the whack is still in your space. Just
ground it off. So when we say ground it off,
that's what we're talking about just flush it down your
grounding cord. I've taken to using the analogy of a

(10:11):
trapdoor on the bottom of your bubble connecting into your
grounding cord, and when you're ready to put it on release,
you just open up that trapdoor and down the stuff goes.
So those are our primary tools. Center head, grounding cord,
and our bubble are energy field. So why does this

(10:33):
help build long lasting resilience or long lasting Because if
we employ our tools, it helps us feel safe, it
helps us feel present, grounded, And if we appreciate information
on the outside of our bubble, we have an opportunity

(10:58):
to look at it up to objectively. Right, we're not
right here in the story or in the drama. We
don't jump into the lake with the drowning passengers. We
stay safely on the shore and toss a life preserver.
So why does that help with anxiety? Because when you

(11:22):
have objectivity to the story, you have an opportunity to decide,
I want I'm gonna let if I am I going
to see this as something that's going to harm me
or rile me up or hurt me, or am I
going to look at it like information? You have those
choices and granted this moment and by moment. However, if

(11:48):
you read most of the information in the world from
a place of neutrality, from a place of objectivity, where
you have some distance from the information, it's really you
get to decide. You get to have a clarity about
the information, Like do I want to engage is this

(12:11):
worth my emotional energy to get riled up by this?
Or do I just see it as what it is?
When you can appreciate information from a place where you're objective,
it is so incredibly freeing because you give yourself space,

(12:37):
You give yourself all that emotional energy back. Because we
have a limited amount of bandwidth, right, and do we
want to spend our emotional, our energetic, our mental bandwidth
on petty bullshit? Do we want to spend it on

(12:59):
things that we can't control. Do we want to spend
it on things that we just stir it up, we
just go over and over and again. Or do we
want to have some clarity choose our battles and then
make informed decisions on how to respond. And notice I

(13:23):
said respond instead of react, because anxiety is a reaction.
Sometimes it is an over reaction to information. I know
that was kind of horrish. Yeah. Yeah, But if you're
being anxious about something, you are letting something get you.

(13:47):
You are letting your mental processes take you to someplace
that isn't safe. Let's reel it back in. And when
I say reil it back in, I mean get yourself
in the center of your head, be that point of light.

(14:15):
So this is quite honestly the gift that keeps on giving,
the gift of neutrality, the gift of being grounded, the
gift of knowing your energy field in all the ways
that you can manage your energy field. Energy cannot be
created or destroyed, but we can transform the snot out

(14:35):
of it. You can elect to have panic in your space,
or you can elect to have calm. What do you choose?
What would you like to be? So one of the
things that I teach, and one of the reasons it

(14:56):
helps with hypnosis, is because when we're in hi nosis,
we tell the little chatterbox of our conscious awareness to
just power down. I take a beat, sud, you're not
involved right here, and when leap frog over that fella

(15:16):
into our subconscious awareness, which I like to say is
also connected with our higher self, because I like an
oxymoron and a duality. So but at the same time,
under hypnosis, your physical body gets to take a rest.

(15:41):
We can get so wound up when it's so tense,
worrying about things, thinking about things, overprocessing things.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Then it gets.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Tense eyed, whereas an hypnosis to just release that tension,
we let go of the fight and understand. When you
have somebody like me, I operate from integrity, and I

(16:14):
encourage you to do the same. You're only going to
adopt what's for your greatest and highest good period and
you're subconscious, particularly the way I suggested, is only going
to allow in for your greatest and highest good. With

(16:36):
that being said, mine's to heal. So once we have
class members in this Zoon class, this would be the
time that I start recording. But since nobody's in the class,

(17:00):
I'm recording the whole class like a regular podcast episode.
So again, slow roll out, but gives me a chance
to work out some bugs and gives you an opportunity
to get some content up. I know.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
I'm so sorry people, I haven't recorded very often. If
you knew the injury that I had in December, Lordie,
it was a lot.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
It was weird and if you listen to some of
my past episodes, you'll understand. But like, I went to
the gym today and I'm giving myself a some att
of girls, because every time I go to the gym,
I'm leaning into my trauma because that was the scene

(17:48):
of the crime. And you know, and I slowly heal
one bicycle ride, one stretch, one left, one exercise at
a time because I am stronger than the trauma, the
story of this really traumatic injury that I suffered. But anyway,

(18:15):
so that's why I haven't been recording very much. I've
been busy. I've been busy healing, healing, trying to run
a practice and stuff. So anyway, creating some balance, getting
some more rest and ready to launch, and creating this
group hypnotherapy class as part of that, because I want

(18:37):
to make this available to people all over and make
it affordable twenty five bucks a class to participate and
share your story and ask questions and get some real
time healing with yours truly, and you know it's a
way to dip your toe in. We're getting a session

(19:00):
in between your weekly sessions or your biweekly sessions. Anyway,
Lots of reasons why I want to do this group hypnotherapy,
not the least of which is just to share this feeling,
share this healing information, this love and light. The more
people that heal, the more people are healed. Yay, Okay,

(19:24):
With that being said, we'll prepare to go into the
hypnosis session. And this is the time when you'll want
to grab something to drink, get into a comfy chair
or lay down whatever works in your universe, some quiet space,
and we're going to take a short break for some sponsors,
and then we'll come right back. Welcome back, Thank you everyone.

(20:00):
You're in your comfortable place, and go ahead and close
your eyes on down. Perfect, that's exactly right. And let
your eyelids become heavy. Let them be heavy. Let it

(20:21):
be so comfortable to keep your eyes closed that they
just don't want to open. If you take a deep
breath and breathe out any tension and let your eyelids

(20:42):
get even heavier, so comfortable to keep them closed. You
can try to open them and they just won't work.
Go ahead, try to open your eyes, so it just
doesn't work. Okay, close them on down. We've got work
to do. And allow your heavy eyelids to encourage all

(21:10):
your other muscles to soften and relax. Get heavy where
you lay, allow all your muscles to release their tension,
from the top of your head to the tips of
your toes, tips of your finger, tips of your fingertips

(21:39):
as you breathe in and allow the chest to rise
and fall, allowing every part of you to just get here,
be present, be in this very moment, and with every inhalation,

(22:05):
breathing love, relaxation, healing, peace, and imagine with every exhale,
you release tension, worry, distraction, fear, breathing in and breathing

(22:32):
out and allowing every part of you to just drift,
drift into this quiet repose. Your conscious mind and your
physical body get to take a rest while your subconscious

(22:53):
mind is ready for some change. As you continue to
take these beat deep belly breaths, imagining that you're calling
in that life force, energy, and any other positive quality

(23:18):
you'd like to experience more of, and imagine as you exhale,
you're relieving your body, your mind, your energy field of
worry and stress, discomfort, illness, or injury in the body.

(23:44):
In a moment, I will count backwards from five to one,
as if you're stepping down a beautiful staircase. You can
feel the firmness of the floor beneath your feet. You
can feel a handrail in one hand or the other,
helping to steady you. As you begin your descent, your

(24:08):
descent into your subconscious mind. Five. Taking a step down,
your body becomes more relaxed. Your mind is at ease.
Your arms and legs are heavy. As you begin to drift,

(24:31):
drifting down, drifting down. Four another step down, drifting either
even further. Your arms and legs are heavy. The torso

(24:51):
is melting into the chair or the table. Drifting, drifting down,
drifting down. Three completely relaxed. Your arms and legs are loose.

(25:12):
Your body is soft like melted butter. Two deeper, still
breathing into your abdomen, release in tension. And one all

(25:33):
the way down, down, down, down, down, into the quiet,
into the peaceful, the safe, and joyous. Imagine in this
quiet place, you see your energy field around you, and
we know we can't create or destroy, but we can transform.

(25:58):
Choose a color for your energy feel that feels particularly comfortable,
a color that makes you feel safe and happy and grounded,
and allow your energy feel to be that color, and

(26:20):
allow yourself to completely be in that color that reminds
you of safety, protection, warmth, acceptance, happiness. Imagine that color
makes you feel as comfortable as if you're all wrapped

(26:44):
up in your favorite blanket. Feel perfectly safe or nothing
bad can happen in this bubble in this color. Then
make your grounding cord, that too of life that connects
you and your bubble to the center of the earth.

(27:06):
And make it the same color as your bubble. And
be connected to the center of the earth, protected in
your energy field the color of your choosing for today,

(27:29):
and then be a point of light in the center
of your head. Imagine that you can see the world
from behind your closed eyes, and that is your superpower.
In your bubble, Imagine that you can see some balls,

(27:50):
maybe the size of a base ball or what have you.
And these balls are all different colors, any and every color.
Accept the color of your bubble. And these balls represent
energy that's not yours. They represent someone else's story, someone

(28:13):
else's worries or information. They represent energy that has been
tossed your way. For example, Oh, she needs to take
over this case or this project. I hope she does

(28:33):
a good job. You might see one or two balls
you might see dozens. Whatever you see is whatever you see,
and if you don't see anything, that's fine too. So

(28:55):
imagine that you have these balls and the imagine that
they can sing and settle to the bottom of your bubble.
And then for kicks, imagine that you have a trap
door at the bottom of your bubble and you're ready

(29:16):
to open it, all those balls will go tumbling down
to the center of the earth. Go ahead, open that
trap door and let all those balls. Other people's stories,
other people's energy, people that need help, and you just decide, oh,

(29:37):
I'm going to hold some of their energy. Well, here's
the thing. It doesn't really help them, but it sure
clutters up your space. And imagine that anything else that

(30:04):
pops up, you can easily and effortlessly just send it
down your grounding cord. Now, imagine, if you will, that
there's a bubble on the outside of your bubble, and

(30:24):
this bubble contains a theater screen, a movie screen, and
you're imagine that you're seeing it from the best seat
in the house. And on this movie screen is the
story of your life moving forward. You're the star, you're

(30:46):
the director, the producer. You might even write the soundtrack,
the screen wrote, and imagine that you can turn on
this theater screen and you can start to watch the

(31:08):
movie of your life. Moving forward, How is it that
you want your life to play out? What do you want,
what do you want to achieve? What do you want
to manifest? Who do you want in your life? Who
do you want out of your life? What do you
want to manifest? What do you want to call into

(31:29):
your space? What are you done with? How do you
want your story to be told? And begin telling it,
begin scripting it, begin starring in your own movie. I

(31:52):
believe that the universe rewards specificity. So if you want
to achieve something or man manifest something, put as much
detail in it as you can. Put as much detail
in your movie as you can. Players places, what are

(32:15):
you wearing, who are you with, what are you driving?
What are you doing? And as you're creating this movie
of your life, make sure that some healing work is

(32:40):
part of your next step. Make sure some evolution is
part of your next step, some personal growth. If you will,
make sure that you are using your tools every day,

(33:00):
and it's easy, it just becomes second nature. Particularly effective
tool is to imagine you're in your bubble as you
cross a busy intersection, whether in a car or on
a bike or walking. Yeah, you'll always get to the

(33:23):
other side safely. There is no dream too big or
too small. See it as if you're actually watching the
movie right the ending that you want to achieve, or

(33:48):
the next episodes, whatever, and put in as much detail
as you can, who's involved, where you are, where you're going,
what wishes, hopes, dreams and desires are coming true. This

(34:16):
is what we call a mock up. And when you
have your next step, your script, your movie at just
the way you want it, imagine that the bubble that

(34:36):
that theater screen is in is filled with gold energy.
Gold is the highest vibration of all the colors. Imagine
that you're putting love and hope and positivity and manifesting

(34:59):
in a abundance and any other positive quality that you
want to experience in your next step. They're free but
all you want. And then put this little ketch on.

(35:20):
My friend Cheryl used to use this, and cooler than
I could possibly imagine, That fills in all the little
nooks and crannies, the things that you might not think about.
Let your next step be cooler than you could possibly imagine.

(35:40):
Let it be beyond your wildest dreams, and when you're ready,
go ahead and let that bubble with your mock up
in it, float off to the edge of the universe
so that the universe can begin to fill your order

(36:01):
and back down here on Earth, go ahead and take
another deep breath, and as you breathe out, you'll go
deeper and deeper into relaxation, quieting down, letting go, drifting, drifting, drifting,

(36:31):
and as you allow yourself the vision of all your
dreams coming true, sending out your order to the universe.
If you know that, you know that, you know that
your connection to the God of your heart is real,

(36:52):
and that the universe generally wants and is conspiring to
support you, you'll find that using your tools, moving into

(37:13):
your next step becomes second nature before you know it.
And when you do that, when you start manifesting it,
things start happening for you. That is the number one
way to manage anxiety. Turn it on its head. I

(37:34):
don't know about this, well, I'm going to spend my
energy on something I do know about. I can be objective,
I can manage my energy field. I can help my
body feel safe, and then I can have some clarity
about what it is I want to create in this world.

(37:56):
Sounds like an anxiety buster to me. As you take
that in and understand just how powerful you are letting
that messaging begin to soap into your system. Yeah, that's

(38:19):
exactly right. Go ahead and take another deep breath and
let it go, and in this next moment feeling grounded center,
declaire in your bubble and being objected by being in

(38:43):
the center of your head. Imagine putting yourself in one
of those situations that could have caused you to be anxious,
applying for that interview, performing in front of a college scout,
trying to sink a putt that's been troublesome for you.

(39:09):
Just get into this quiet place, this peaceful place, and
see yourself nailing that interview, See yourself nailing and landing
that putt. Let it be as natural for you as breathing.
There you go perfect. In a moment, I will count

(39:34):
you back into full waking awareness. You'll feel live, awake, motivated,
and ready to make some changes in your life and
in the world. In one, two, three, or five. Eyes

(39:55):
open back to the room. Hello everyone. This was the
third in a series of classes healing anxiety. This particular
