VİOP’ta işlemler teminat ile yapılır. Örneğin, 1 gram altın 280 tl ise tamamını yatırmak yerine sadece 20 tl ile aynı işlemi yapabilirsiniz. Bu özellik ile VİOP az para ile yatırım yapma imkanı verir. Bir diğer avantajı ise tek bir yatırım aracına bağlı kalmayıp, birden çok yatırım aracında işlem yaparak portföy çeşitliliği yapmanızı sağlar.
VİOP’ ta her yatırım için belirlenmiş teminat oranları vardır. Örneğin, döviz işlemleri için gerekli teminatlar; Dolar/lira için 480 TL İngiliz Sterlini/dolar için 40 dolarEuro/dolar için 35 dolar hesabınızda bulunması yeterli.
Dolar piyasada 5 tl ve sizin cebinizde 5000 tl var döviz bürosuna gittiğinizde 5000 liranız ile 1000 dolar alabilirsiniz ve cebinizde sadece 1000 dolarınız olur.
Yine aynı şartlar altında VİOP piyasasına geldiğinizde 400 tl ile 1000 dolar alıp cebinizde 4600 TL'niz kalıyor. İsterseniz 4600 TL ile daha fazla döviz alabilir veya nakit olarak tutmaya devam edebilirsiniz.
Dolar da meydana gelen herhangi bir düşüş ya da artış durumunda döviz işlemlerindeki karınız ile zararınız VİOP işlemleri ile aynı oranda olur. Döviz bürosunda 500 tl kar ettiğinizde VİOP’ta da aynı karı elde edersiniz.
