El grupo de investigación ODIM ha trabajado en los últimos años en 2 grandes líneas de investigación:
Ser capaces de predecir la respuesta a la cirugía bariátrica (CB), tanto ponderal como metabólica.
El estudio de los mecanismos por los que la diabetes ejerce un impacto negativo sobre la función pulmonar y la respiración durante el sueño.
La investigación del grupo es principalmente clínica, aunque con un clara aplicación traslacional, fomentando la colaboración con grupos externos. La mayoría de los miembros del equipo son especialistas en Endocrinología y Nutrición, pero forman parte también del grupo diplomados en enfermería y graduados en nutrición humana y dietética. Compaginan los proyectos de investigación financiados junto con el desarrollo de ensayos clínicos.
