Un grupo multidisciplinario que está formado por personal investigador de diferentes ámbitos, que van desde la bioestadística hasta la biología de sistemas y sintética. Está liderado y coordinado por los doctores Rui Carlos Vaqueiro De Castro Alves, Montserrat Rué Monnéy Albert Sorribas Tello.
El grupo trabaja en diferentes líneas, como el desarrollo de métodos de análisis de datos en las ciencias de la vida, el desarrollo de herramientas fáciles de utilizar para el análisis y representación de datos, los sistemas y biología sintética de plantas y microorganismos y sus aplicaciones biotecnológicas y los principios de diseño en biología.
Han creado la aplicación gratuita COVIDWORLD de seguimiento de la pandemia del SARS-CoV-2, dentro del proyecto de investigación IlerCOVID de la Universitat de Lleida, que permite visualizar gráficamente la situación actual del virus en 238 países y regiones españolas, junto con su progresión desde enero de 2020 hasta la actualidad, facilitando la comparativa de casos.
