Speaker 1 (00:33):
Hey, what's up everybody, and welcome to a brand new
episode of It be like that. We're very sorry that
we've been so delayed in getting a brand new episode up.
It's just been kind of a little bit of a
nightmare for things. One, I took some time off just
to kind of get my head straight with a lot
of different things and trying to get like settled, and

(00:56):
just I needed a break is ultimately what needed to
happen with the whole thing. So, you know, with that
being said, and then both of us got really fucking sick.
The bearer of the back plague Nello Angelo four twenty,
which he got it from his kids, and then his
kids gave it to him, and then he gave it

(01:17):
to me, and then we get then he also gave
it to Patrick, So we all kind of got sick.
And we just took another episode off from the whole
thing because we really needed to. And it's been a
little bit of a time since we've put out a
full episode. And I'm sorry that this is going to
be like a mini episode, but here we are. We're

(01:38):
we're doing this for the time being. So I really
do apologize with the whole thing that we haven't put
out a episode with both of us in it in
quite some time, and it's going to be another two
weeks before we have another episode like that. So, and
there's a couple of things that I've wanted to do
with us in the meantime that we haven't been able
to do because we're not together. Patrick is still not

(02:00):
feeling well. His allergies are killing him, his hip is
killing him, and he's not quite over the cold, like
his throat is just aching, and even though he was
able to stream today, he just didn't feel well enough
to do a new episode. So we're here, we're doing this,
and uh, yeah, we're well, I guess I'm doing this
for a new episode. And there's a couple of things

(02:21):
that we'll talk about on the next episode that I'm
probably gonna talk about here just because you know, I
want to get this it's fresh off the presses, and
I just kind of wanted to talk about the whole thing.
And I'm gonna try to keep this episode relatively quick
or you know, shorter than we would do with a
full episode, since we're recording this whole thing right now. So,

(02:44):
without being said, a couple of things that we did
go out. We went and saw screen Boat Willie, which
you know, I was hoping that Patrick and I could
talk about it a little bit together and our thoughts
on the whole thing. If you want to get a
whole like mess of everything, you can go check out
my review. It's available on the Terrible Terror podcast YouTube

(03:04):
channel and it'll be there for you to kind of
go with everything that's going on. Other than that, I
will say that I enjoyed it very much. It's not
the best movie ever, of course it's not going to be,
but they did a lot of things that were really right,
and I think that the fact that they spent so

(03:26):
much time on it, in doing a lot of callbacks
not just to Steamboat Willie, but to Disney in general,
I thought was pretty pretty awesome. Like it was funny.
It was gory, lot gorier than I thought it was
going to be, and I knew it was going to
be gory because of the team that worked on it,

(03:48):
the producers of the film. And while it's not the
Terrifier guys in like one hundred percent, like everybody involved
directing it, it's still a lot of the same crew.
They did a really good job. Like I said, on
the gore and what they and how far they were
going to push it. You know, it still could have,
I think, been pushed more, but it was pushed more

(04:10):
and like enough to make it really like big on
that end. So some really good kills. There were some
things in it that were just annoying and stupid, but overall,
I mean, I think it's a solid three out of
five when it comes to this type of movie. I
don't think it reaches the echelon of being four out

(04:30):
of five or five out of five for me personally,
but I think that it's still relatively solid. Beyond that.
I mean, like I said, we've both been pretty sick.
We've both been you know, just working a lot. I
know Patrick had like big inventory things that he had
to get done when he was really sick, and so
that kind of pushed him aside. I had a hell
of a week this week in just last minute shit

(04:52):
being put on top of me to the point that
I was just like, oh boy, yeah, that's just what
we're going to do. And so there's a lot of
different stuff that's going on. But the biggest thing that
I wanted to talk about when it came to this was, well,
when it came to the podcast, besides what I was

(05:12):
planning on doing, I just wanted to go through and
talk about the announcement of the Nintendo Switch to Now,
there's a lot of stuff that is good about it,
there's a lot of stuff that is bad about it,
and I just kind of wanted to go over that
stuff with y'all. And the biggest thing that we haven't

(05:36):
been able to get much about it are tech specs,
like we don't know what the processor is going to be.
It's a custom processor by Nvidia that they're using on
this one. It is a little bit more than in
terms of weight that you know, we had for the

(05:57):
original switch. It's you know, it's only about eighty eight
point eighty eight pounds for the weight, and with the
joy cons attached to it, it's like one point one
eight pounds, so it's not like much heavier than it is.
It definitely is a lot bigger screen that we've got
on this one in comparison to the switch that's there.

(06:17):
It does support four K resolution, it does have up
to one hundred and twenty frames per second when it's
in handheld mode, DOC mode, it's sixty frames per second,
can do four K resolution, can do higher you know,
when it's docked and if that game supports it as well.
The handhold handheld mode in the screen is just an

(06:40):
LCD screen, And that's probably one of the things that's
probably my biggest complaint considering you have an OL can't
say it right, but an OLED switch that's out there
that has much better battery life and a much better
looking screen than an LED screen, and for some reason

(07:02):
they decided to go back to an LED. It's probably cost,
to be honest with you, and what the cost is
going to be for this device, And that's another thing
that really drives me crazy before I talk about some
of the games that they're going to release with the device,
is that the base model for this is going to

(07:23):
be four hundred and fifty dollars, which is a lot, right,
And if you want to get it with Mario Kart World,
which is going to be like their flagship launch title
that's going to come with this, it's going to be
five hundred bucks. And a lot of people are like, oh,
that's not too bad when it comes to it, and
I guess when it comes to a console, but the
fact that you can buy an Xbox Series X, or

(07:46):
you can buy a PlayStation five for the same price. Yes,
it's not going to have the handheld mode, but you're
buying too much more still powerful consoles, and I kind
of wish that for this price that I was at
least getting a Series S. And it doesn't seem like
I'm even getting a Series S with this, Like I'm
getting something on the lines of a PlayStation Pro. And

(08:09):
when you talk about like the Switch, which don't get
me wrong, there are some beautiful games on the Switch.
It's not super powerful. That device is better. It's like
a PS three or a little bit above that, right,
Like a PS three Pro it's not even quite a
PS four, And here you're getting a PS four Pro
is basically what you're getting maybe something that's a little

(08:31):
bit better than a PS four Pro. And don't get
me wrong, the things that they showed off they look great,
you know, and Nintendo always knows how to optimize their hardware,
But will you be able to optimize the hardware, you know,
as a third party developer trying to port your games
like basically backwards onto this, it's like somebody pouring onto

(08:52):
a Series S, right, because that holds back. In my opinion,
a lot of the stuff that Microsoft does on first
party stuff where the X is so much more powerful
than it, but they still have to poort these games
onto an S as well. So the Series X kind
of ends up hurting some And you haven't gotten to
the point yet that developers are like, look, I'm only

(09:13):
going to develop a Series X version, but I believe
that they have contracts with Microsoft to say no, you
have to be able to make sure that it works
on both. And so I'm not saying consoles are going
to be always better. You know, it's it's not a PC, right,
I'm not even going to compare these devices to a PC.
But which you kind of have to compare the switch
to to is a steam Deck, which is a you know,

(09:34):
a shrunk down PC, and it's a lower quality PC, right,
And if they would have been able to put out
and there's oled versions of the steam Deck that are
on par with the pricing of a switch to, So
at this point, why wouldn't you just get a steam Deck?
In my personal opinion, right, if I want a handheld
game and maybe hook it up to a TV, I

(09:57):
could go with a steam Deck for a rough the
same price, that's gonna have a better screen, and it's
gonna have about the same amount of battery life that's
with it. It does have a built in microphone they
did announce, which is the one that drives me the craziest.
It's like, I knew that they were gonna have game chat.
They had to have game chat with this device. There
was no way that they weren't going to be able

(10:17):
to do that and continue their their you know, their
progress forward and their leap forward with how having some
turn time, uh you know, some type of internal voice
chat with the device specifically, right, and it's cool that
it's got a mic. It says that it has you know,
technology so that it will dampen the room and it

(10:39):
only reaches the voice. I'm wondering how far away the
switch itself has to be to be able to do that.
Like in the setup that I have downstairs, right, I've
got my couches on the back, and then the you know,
the device is gonna be in a little cubby hole
that's in the you know, the entertainment center that we've
you know, I've set up that's back there where the

(10:59):
TV is, and that's where it would sit is it
gonna be able to pick up that perfectly fine? Or
is it something you know, like just you know, five
feet and then it's fine, But if it's further than
five feet, it's not gonna pick you up clearly. Right,
Am I gonna have to speak really loud? Am I
gonna have to you know, really do it? Or is
there a mic on the controllers? It's not because it

(11:21):
seems like it's just on the switch. But does the
pro controller have a microphone on it? Kind of like
the PlayStation five has a microphone directly on the PS
five controller, which works decently. It's not the best, but
if you're gonna play a game with friends, then you
can have the mic and your sound coming directly from
the PS five controller when you have voice chat enabled. Right,

(11:43):
are they gonna you know? I think the controllers in
general have a microphone output, so or they have a
mic in I guess. So if you're using the switch
Joycon docs right the switch to Joycon Docs, when you
stick in the two Joycons that are there, then that
doc has a headset output so that you can wear

(12:05):
a headset with a microphone. But it's like they're putting
a discord type of interface on top of it, and
it just doesn't seem very good. And even in the
videos that they had, like it lagged. So we're gonna
have to see what happens when you're playing the game.

(12:25):
And do I want the little boxes showing up on
the bottom. I kind of just want, like, you know,
like anything else, maybe it just shows up on the
side and just has a list of names, Like they
really tried to show off because they're also trying to
show off the camera that hey, while you're playing, you
can have video of everybody and see everybody while you're
playing the games and get everybody's reactions. But most gamers,

(12:47):
least the hardcore ones, don't really want that. I know,
I don't want to have video from everybody else that's
there while they're you know, I'm playing a game and
have laggy ass video that's coming from some random camera
in the room. And then even that is peripheral that
it seems like you have to buy and it has
to be a Nintendo licensed camera kind of like what
Sony does, which I fucking hate, Like I just want

(13:08):
to use a regular USB fucking webcam and just allow
me to plug that in, let me use a USBC webcam.
If you let me do that, then I don't think
I have a problem. But it seems like with this
you have to have a Nintendo proprietary camera, or at
least one that has been made by a third party
that's licensed with Nintendo. If that's not the case, it's

(13:31):
just any USB C webcam good, then I'm okay with it. Right,
Will I use it? Don't know, do we need to
use it? Don't really know. I don't think i'd use
the camera, And they do like a lot of little things,
like some of the games they're really trying to It's
almost like Nintendo is trying to do a connect right
because even their Mario Party Jamboree that they brought out,

(13:54):
which they're bringing out a switch to version of it,
is going to incorporate the camera and do minigames with
the camera, kind of like the Connected back in the day,
you know. And some of the other things that are
cool with it. I like the ability that the joy
cons can be used as mice as well, so if
you have a game that supports it, then you could
do it. But for couch gaming, do I really need

(14:17):
a mouse? Like I'm gonna have to have a coffee
table or something relatively nearby. Then I'm not gonna have
to bend over or TV tray where it's going to
be at an ergonomic position to be used as a mouse. Right, So,
like they showed off Metroid Prime four beyond and they
showed off, oh there's mouse mode. Cool if you're able

(14:37):
to use that, But you've still got to use your
JOYCN controller as your you know, and you guys can't
see it because I'm not recording this, you know, live
or not doing this over twitch or anything like that.
But you're you're gonna have to use that for your
movement and then your mouse for your your the other
JOYCN as a mouse for the aiming. I don't know.

(14:58):
I really don't know the it is. And then your
buttons are on the side, so it's kind of like
you you're gonna lose a right mouse button and you're
only going to get a left mouse button, and then
every other button is going to be on the sides
of the Joycon Again, like, I want to see how
it works and see how it goes now for things
like you know, if it has a built in web
browser and you want to put something on the screen

(15:19):
because you can stream video from it. That mouse is
gonna come in very, very handy, and I think in
a lot of FPS games it's gonna come in handy too,
if they allow that to be done. But it seems
like when they showed off a lot of the stuff
in the demo, they were just showing off, like I said,
metroy Prime four and then they were showing off a
game that looks really silly as well as Civilization seven

(15:42):
was gonna support it, right, so you know, you could
bring a breadth of games to the Switch to that
you couldn't bring on other consoles because you're gonna use
a mouse.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Right.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
If they decide to do more real time strategy games, great,
have the mouse support that that would be wonderful. You
can have like a StarCraft two type of experience, or
you know, if you brought Diablo four over there, then
I feel like it controls well with the controller, but
it would be cool to be able to control it
with the mouse as well. Sometimes you can be a
lot faster if you have the mouse in those types

(16:15):
of games. So I'm not shitting on the mouse, and
and I really don't want to feel like I'm shitting
on the Switch to, right, I'm just saying, like, what
the negatives that I have with it when it comes
to it, having it have increased storage is great. Two
hundred and fifty gigs of internal storage. Again, I hate
that they're using a whole new type of memory for

(16:36):
the expanded storage where it's an express micro SD card. Right,
So the SD cards, the micro sds that you have
with your switch right now aren't supported by the switch
to which drives me crazy, Like, I get it. Maybe
you could do it like Sony did it when they released,
and I think even Xbox did this a little bit
where your existing games, your switch games say that you

(16:58):
downloaded could be put on to that or like if
I'm going with PlayStation for example, you have an external
SD or HD hard drive or whatever you have out there,
and you couldn't play PlayStation five games off of the external,
but you could do PlayStation four games because the speed
wasn't up to snuff for what the PlayStation five wanted.
It wanted the SSD that was internal, right, And eventually

(17:21):
they made it so yeah you could. It just offloads
and unloads the games so you can store them over
there and then when it's ready to play, it moves
it allows you to play it, and then moves it back. Right.
That's fine. So it would be nice if your Switch
games that were on just the micro SD that you
bought before you could still insert it. It recognizes that, oh,
these are just Switch games, and you can play original

(17:42):
Switch games on your switch too if they're backwards compatible,
you know, but they're not doing that. You have to
use this new type of memory, which sucks for people
that are going to rebuy this stuff now the cool
things that they have with it. Game share looks really
great where you could just share a game with somebody.
They get to be borrow it for two weeks, play it,
and then it automatically goes back in your system. Their

(18:04):
game time's out, and then it's available in your system. Right,
So you don't get to play those that game for
the two weeks that you play it, but you could
do a multiplayer game locally shared amongst the people during
that time period as long as they're all have their
Switch tos with you and you're all able to play
in the same area. So something like say, if I'm

(18:24):
understanding it correctly, Mario Party Jamboree. If you played that,
you had everybody you know, linked up directly wirelessly through
Bluetooth or Wi Fi or whatever they're doing here, and
you're all able to play together in a closed group.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Great.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
I do like that. I think that's really cool. But
you know, once you lend it out to them, say okay,
here's my copy of Breath of the Wild, why don't
you go play it? You want to try it out here,
you have it for two weeks, and then once they're
done to it, that's great too. But if I wanted
to play Breath of the Wild at the same time
or Tiers of the Kingdom, I can't. I have to
wait until that's done, or I cancel my share and

(19:01):
take it away from the person that's borrowing the game
quote unquote borrowing the game. So I definitely think the
switch to joy cons look a lot better. Hopefully the
drift is fixed with it. From what I've seen people
play with it, it seems like they're it's a lot
more smoother in terms of the movement and feels a
lot more natural than what it is, and that the
JOYCN twos are a big, you know, improvement over what

(19:26):
it was before, right, And it seems like the screen
is while it's better. It's not necessarily you know, what
people were hoping for when it came to it, with
it being a you know, a better screen screen than
what it should have been. But you know, the the

(19:50):
biggest thing that we've got with it is going to
be and it's a big question is the price of
the games that are going to be coming out, right,
because the generalized consensus at least for the pricing so
far with some of the games like Mario Kart Digital
is like eighty bucks, and the rumors are that if

(20:11):
you want to get an actual cartridge, it's ninety bucks.
And that's ridiculous. That's way too expensive. Not all the
games are in that price range of everything, but I
just can't like a Nintendo fanboys in general are really
they're sold on having a collection, right, So actually having

(20:33):
the you know, the little cards, the little cartridge is
there and having them on the shelf and displaying it
and having it out there, and to pay ninety dollars
for something like that is really ridiculous. It's just too
goddamn expensive if that's what the price is going to be.
And I have a lot of people saying, oh, well,
look back in the day with the prices of old
in sixty four games or and even Nintendo games back

(20:54):
in the day, you used to pay ninety dollars for
that in today's price to be one hundred and twenty. Yeah,
but you're setting a stick and right for the people
that aren't doing that, where you could imagine that Grand
Theft Auto six when it comes out for the base model,
they could say, well, we spend all this time on it,
in the technology to build it, so this is one
hundred bucks, and now you're paying one hundred dollars for
a disc. And just like a lot of the games nowadays,

(21:18):
you when you buy a physical copy of the game one,
it just installs it all to your hard drive, so
you don't really even play off the disc anymore. That
cuts down on load times and everything like that. So
I get it, but a lot of the times, even nowadays,
when you buy a Blu ray, you know it's a
Blu Ray, but it's just a licensed disc. You still
download everything from the goddamn Internet and install it. And

(21:39):
that's what a lot of the switch to games are
going to be. It's just a licensed cartridge. There's no
actual game on it, right, So when you put the
game into your system. It then connects to whatever server
it is, downloads the game onto your system, and then
you can play it. So what happens when they delist
the game? Are you going to be able to play
it anymore? Do you even install it from the disc

(21:59):
any more? Like or from the little card? Can you
do anything with it? Your license is are revoked. So
you spent ninety dollars on a fucking piece of plastic
that you got back there, and then if they delist
the game, you can't play the game anymore. You're done.
They shut down their servers, you're done unless you have
it installed previously. So let's say that the switch to

(22:20):
you know fails and they shut down the service within
three years. It's not going to go like that hard,
But you want to play your Mario Kart that you
had uninstalled because you needed the space right and imagine
a game like you know, Cyberpunk was announced for this
as a direct you know game, and that's a problem
with a lot of the games that have there too.
But it's sixty something gigs to install that game on

(22:43):
your switch to, so out of your two hundred and
fifty six gigs, if that's what's actually available for storage.
It's probably going to be more like two hundred gigs,
right because operating system and everything like that they have
on there. So your two hundred gigs that you have
on your device are now taken up. Sixty of those
gigs are gone and seventy of those gigs are gone completely.
So you remove it, and then all of a sudden,

(23:04):
because you just had it wasn't installed from the cartridge
to itself. It's just a license key that says, hey,
this person can play the damn game. All of a sudden,
your ninety dollars game that you bought or seventy dollars
whatever the price Cyberpunk was is unplayable. Now you can't
do anything with it because they delisted the game, and
so unless you had it installed that sixty gigs that

(23:27):
you needed the space for, you're never gonna be able
to play the game that you bought ever again, So no,
it's not the same as buying an N sixty four
cartridge back in the day for one hundred dollars. Right
at least I could still go take that damn cartridge
and go play the goddamn game. So things like that
really drive me crazy. But again, I like the look
of it. I like the hardware that they've got going

(23:49):
on besides the screen. I think that it's a definite improvement.
I think that the games look pretty good for the ones.
The first party ones definitely look really good. Marik cart
World looks like it's going to be fun. I don't know
about the open world nature of it. I think that's
kind of silly, to be honest, Like, I don't need
an open world in my cart racing game. Just let
me play the maps. It says it's gonna get updates,

(24:11):
and you know, so it those things look great, but
is it worth it for the price? I guess that
they're hoping that people pay the fifty dollars extra and
just get the bundle, and hey, look you're saving forty
bucks and you're getting your system and your Mario Kart.
Look at that you only bought Mario Kart for fifty bucks.
But if that's not the game that interests me right away,
I don't really feel like I'm gonna pay that money

(24:32):
later on to play it. And knowing Nintendo, Nintendo doesn't
drop the price in their games very often, right, so
ninety bucks now in five years is still going to
be ninety fucking dollars. It's not like you're gonna be
able to get it at a cheaper price later. I mean,
Tears of the Kingdom was sixty dollars when it released,
and it's still sixty dollars. Same thing with The Breath

(24:53):
of the Wild when it was released for the original Switch.
It's still sixty dollars. It's still up there in terms
of its price. So you know, you rarely see, if
ever a Nintendo game go on sale. The other stuff
that at least was first party that the announced already
talked about Metroid, which I'm kind of excited for, but
I guess I could play on Switch. You had, Do

(25:14):
you have Donkey Kong Bananaza? You know? Okay, it is
what it is. I mean, it's kind of cool. They
do some mixture of side scrolling and three D levels
in the game. I like that it looks really destructible.
I mean, it's kind of cool in the way it is. Also,
Nintendo site is absolute trash because it's like slowing down

(25:35):
as I'm looking at it. Kirby Air Riders, Uh okay.
I was never a big fan of the original game,
and we need another racing game. That's there. Like I said,
they're doing switch editions of games. So games like Metro
four Beyond is going to release on the Switch soon
and then the release a switch to version, and they're
talking about upgrades, so some of the games are going

(25:57):
to get free upgrades, something like Super Mario Otis is
a free upgrade for the game. You're gonna get higher
fidelity images, smooth a running, faster frame rate, all that
stuff for free, but they're not adding anything to it.
And then you have the two Legend of Zelda games
that they're gonna release switch editions if you never bought
them before, they're seventy eight dollars apiece. Seventy dollars for

(26:19):
the switch to edition for that fucking ridiculous. But there's
an upgrade that you can purchase for it. What's that cost?
They didn't bother to name that cost. And my guess
right now, it's gonna be like twenty bucks. Right A
lot of people saying, oh, it's only gonna be ten
bucks and ten bucks it's reasonable. I've done that with
PlayStation games, going from a PS four version to a

(26:41):
PS five version. That's not terrible. I don't like it.
I wish you would just give it to me for free,
like give me Gostu Sushima Director's Cut. I already have it,
so just allow me to get it instead of adding it.
But with that one, at least they gave you all
the DLC that was released for that ten dollars, so
you're getting an upgrade and it's like you're paying for
the DLC which you would have paid ten bucks for.

(27:01):
So on those ones, fine, and there are talking about
enhancements and stuff, but they don't say that it's including
all of the DLC that's been released for these games
as well. They're just saying there's an upgrade cost, and
that kind of scares me when it comes to it.
Then you have a game like Drag and Drive or
Drag X Drive or whatever they fucking call it, which

(27:22):
is their game. Maybe I feel terrible about saying these things.
It's a tech demo to do the mouse right, to
get to show you how the mouse works and to
play it with that, and it's using both of them.
The switch tooy cons do double mouse and stuff like that.
But do I want to pretend that I'm some dude
playing wheelchair basketball, like I just don't know who the

(27:44):
game is for other than it being a tech demo.
If that game was ten bucks, okay, great, not a problem.
But I feel like that's gonna be a full priced
fucking game, right that we're gonna have there. And then
the worst offender of the whole thing is they're doing
this Nintendo which welcome Tour, which is gonna cost you.
You have to buy that fucking game, Like, it's not

(28:05):
gonna be free again. I have to go back to
the PlayStation because it's what I you know, what I know.
And they released Astrobots Playroom for free, which was a
tech demo for the play PlayStation five to show you, hey,
this is all the stuff that the PlayStation five can do.
Here you go play a game which only last year,
like maybe an hour, maybe two if you want to

(28:28):
get all the little special things that they have in theo,
hidden things they do in the game. But a lot
of it is just we're gonna show off the tech
of this game. Great, and it's free. You don't have
to And they did updates to it to add other
things to the damn thing, all for free for Astrobat's Playroom.
And here you're gonna give me a welcome tour that
I have to buy that. You're gonna show me all

(28:50):
the cool things that the Switch to can do, but
you're gonna make me pay for it, even if it's
ten bucks. That's too much for something that I really
don't give a shit that it's a virtual tour of
the goddamn game, rather than just giving that virtual tour
to me for free, honestly, you need to do that.
Then the rest of the stuff that they've announced for

(29:10):
it are basically just games that have existed for a while,
Like I said, Cyberpunk and they're doing you know, the
Maddens and all that other bullshit that's there. And there's
some other split Fiction which has already been released, and
we're gonna get a switch to version hopefully that's just
an upgrade version of Split Fiction, which I think got
released on the Switch as it were. And a lot

(29:32):
of the stuff that they showed off it's just, you know,
there's stuff that's coming down the line, and some indie
stuff that's coming out that doesn't need the powerhouse of
what supposed to the Switch two can do. But a
lot of this stuff was just like, you know, elden Ring.
We're getting elden Ring again. The tarnish version, which is
adding a bunch of stuff to it, which is great.
I get it. And if you're a Switch player and

(29:54):
you've always want to play Elden Ring on the go,
there you go. But it's been out for three year now,
like it's it's like they're playing catch up to all
these games that were released. And now, if you're a
Switch proprietor you only play Switch and you've always wanted
to play these games, okay, great, but how many gamers
do you know actually do these things right? But the

(30:18):
one highlight of the show that I am very interested
in and could possibly be a system seller for me
personally because I've gotten into these games is The Dust
Bloods and it's like a spiritual successor to Bloodborne. But
it's multiplayer, which is weird, and I need to like
read up on the more. I know they did a
little more of an in depth on the game, so
I want to know more about the game in general.

(30:38):
But is it enough to get me to buy a
Switch to at launch considering that's not coming out to
twenty twenty six, I just don't think so. I just
feel like that the good things about it and the
fact that it's larger, better screen, better frame rate, you know,
higher res. It looks pre for the games that they're

(31:01):
showing off, even though the wheelchair game looked pretty right,
and it looks a lot better than which gonna switch,
because you know, as much as there are games I've
wanted to buy on the switch, but if they're on
another system, I'll buy them over there instead, because the
frame dips are terrible on switches, Like playing an old
Nintendo game when the game's doing a little too much
for the Nintendo and everything slows down. Even playing Breath

(31:24):
of the Wild sometimes frame rate drops like significantly to
the point that it becomes a little unplayable. And then
it just chugs along and it's rough, and a lot
of the stuff that you're gonna see it's gonna be
at thirty frames per second. It's not even gonna be
at sixty. A lot of the games like they were
showing off Cyberpunk and it's running at only thirty frames
per second, Like you should at least have a system

(31:46):
that comes out that is native sixty frames a second
at ten and eight nineteen twenty by ten eighty right
ten eightyp And it doesn't, And I get in four
k not everything runs at sixty frames on you know,
any device that's out there. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
And the a lot of consoles still only you're locked
at thirty frames for a lot of games when you're
running them on like not performance mode but quality mode, right,

(32:11):
And I understand that it's not a PC, but to
have some of your games even at ten ADP possibly
running at thirty frames per seconds, that's kind of ridiculous,
Like you shouldn't have that type of thing for a
device that's supposed to be next gen, right, So, hey,
it is what it is, and so's that's about it

(32:33):
really that I have for this episode. I just want
to talk about those little things that we had there.
So I mean, if everybody's excited for a switch to,
that's great, and I think it's something that eventually I'll get.
But it's not a day one like buy. It's not
a launch system that I would ever buy. When it
comes to this thing, I think it's too damn expensive.
I think the games are going to be too damn expensive.

(32:55):
And especially the biggest news that came out of it
is with all the tariffs that are being put onto
everybody that Nintendo is now waiting for pre orders in
the US. They were going to allow everybody to start
pre ordering it on April ninth. And what I do
like about Nintendo and what they were doing for pre orders,
and Patrick mentioned this earlier today, and I didn't realize
they were doing this. That you're not able to actually

(33:17):
pre order it directly from Nintendo unless you have at
least one hundred hours on your switch, which I think
is great. So that stops a lot of scalpers from
just buying it directly from Nintendo and buying their stockout.
They actually have to play on a current console for
that amount of time to be able to order it
directly from Nintendo, right, But doesn't mean you can't go
to game Stop or Amazon or Best Buy or whatever

(33:37):
it is and buy it that way. And so you know,
some people are still going to do it. It's still
going to get out there in the market. I know
it's still going to sell out super fast because people
are going to flip it like crazy. They're going to
try to and I really do hope it hurts those
people that are going to try to flip this system.
And you know there's gonna be a lot of people
there's gonna be a lot of fan boys that are

(33:58):
just going to run out and buy it right away way,
and you know, there's a lot of stuff that I
think that I would like to do with the system too,
And honestly, you know, I don't think it's terrible, and
there's probably gonna be some games that I'd really want
to play. But every time I bought a Nintendo system,
I don't buy many games for it. I buy the
ones that I'm interested in I like, and you know

(34:19):
that that are exclusives that I didn't think I'd be
able to find anywhere, and then sometimes they do come
out later, you know, like Live a Live Right or
Live Alive or whatever it was called. It was an
old Super Nintendo game from back in the day that
never got a US release. I've always wanted to play it.
I've heard so much about it, and it got a
Switch release, so I bought it on the Switch. And
there's a bunch of like Arcade Beat them Up classics

(34:41):
and stuff like that, but that's not It's a two
D side scroller type game. You know, it's an RPG.
It's nothing that's a major powerhouse that is going to
be like a system sell for me. There isn't going
to be a dead Space or a Silent Hill to
remake or anything like that that's gonna be on the system,
and they're not even showing it here. But the Dust
Bloods is the one game that's like that interests me

(35:03):
a lot. Everything else I could have already played by
now right, and that's that's where it kind of sucks.
So that's it for this episode, and I'm sorry that
it's a little shorter that we didn't have Patrick. Like
I said, he wasn't feeling very well, and you know,
even I'm kind of like, I'm not one hundred percent,
but definitely better than what shape he's in. So if
you want to follow us, of course, we're available on Twitter,

(35:26):
It's IBLT podcasts, email ibltpodcast at gmail dot com. If
there's anything that you want to talk to us about YouTube,
it'd be like that podcast, Instagram, IBLT podcast, Twitch dot tv,
Slash IBLT podcast. When we are live. We should be
all live on the next episode when that comes out.
Otherwise you can rate interview us on things like Apple Podcasts,
Ditch or Speaker, Blueberry, all those things that are out

(35:47):
there wherever you may find your podcast and then YouTube podcasts.
I think in the YouTube music app it would be
able to grab us, but it's not. You know, Google
play Store doesn't really exist anymore for podcast or Google podcasts. Patrick,
you can find them on Twitter, Big Solo sixty four, TikTok,
soul Us Underscore sixty four, YouTube, Solas sixty four, and

(36:07):
of course always on Twitch on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
That is sol Us Underscore sixty four. As for me,
you can find me on Twitter, Tinerscore, Tinerscore Podcast, YouTube
dot com, Slash at Toolbert where tonight, you know, I'm
heading off to go see uh Lacunacoil in Flames and
machine Head over at the Fox, So there should be
some video that will pop up from that and you

(36:29):
can catch that on that channel that channels a lot
of music and everything, like that Terrible Terror podcast where
there will be a review for screen Boat Willie. You
can catch it up on there, and then you can
check out the the you know album that I put
out that was rhaps the Replicants that's available on Spotify
and all those places. And then you got me available

(36:50):
on Twitch, Twitch dot tv, slash Terrible Terrors where right now,
it's like Mondays Tuesdays, and then I'm doing couch gaming
on Sundays because there's a couple of games that I
want to finish when I kind of feel like it.
I'm not doing it every single Sunday, but like tomorrow,
I'll probably be on streaming for a little bit unless
I find someplace that I want to go out and
do something like eventually I need to actually go to

(37:12):
Ikea and get a look at beds for this room.
I need to have a replacement or a secondary bed.
I've been looking at like couch beds and seeing if
I want to get like a sofa bed for here,
so there's a sofa for when people are just hanging
out or you know, for the dogs. Let's say they
can just chill up on the sofa for a little
while and lay there rather than laying on the floor.

(37:32):
And then if I have guests then it folds out
and it's a nice little bed something like that. But
any do that and then next episode of the Terrible
Terror podcast I think is going to be on the Monkey.
I know that I got a request to do some
Charles Band stuff, but I want to kind of look
out there. But The Monkey got released onto VOD this week,
and so I kind of want to check it out.
It's a movie I wanted to see in theaters and
now I kind of want to watch it. So it's

(37:54):
probably going to be that unless I decide to change
my mind. But you know, check out the minipisode that
released later Thick After all that, it's it, See you guys,
and uh yes, Patrick always says peace bitches.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
See an end the list ocean rapping a blanket of stars,
floating here forever seems like I'm.

Speaker 4 (38:31):

Speaker 5 (39:37):

Speaker 1 (39:40):

Speaker 3 (39:41):
