forty plus one tomorrow, Yes, forty plus one.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
And I'm just excited.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
I'm just so excited, y'all because, like I've told y'all before,
I could not wait to get out of my thirties, right,
I could not wait to get out my thirties.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I was trying to see d forties over here talking
about like I was really.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Trying to see whatever was all we were talking about,
because everybody that has turned forty, it's like, man, it's
good over here. It's like you just kind of you know,
it's like you've evolved. You don't really put too much
energy and stuff like you ain't with the disrespect, no drama,
none of that, And I understand it. It's like, babe,
when you turn forty, baby, all you all you crazy
(01:17):
and won't is peace piece piece piece, Okay, that's.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
All you want. You don't have time for no drama like,
none of that, none of that. So yo.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
So forty was definitely a reflective year, you know what
I mean, Like I had to kind of dig and like, baby,
forty was a reflective year. But I appreciate for it
because I feel like I know myself better. Like I
feel like I know myself better. I'm lighter, like I
have fun with myself, you know what I mean, Like
(01:48):
I enjoy learning myself and new things and just you know,
just living on me, you know what I mean, just
loving on me. I feel like that's important, just just
love on yourself. But when you'ven going to that today,
So I hopped out here because.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
I want to let y'all know tomorrow my birthday.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
But I also wanted to hop on here because I just,
you know, my birthday tomorrow, y'all know. I always get
if y'all don't know, if I haven't told you, I
was getting emotional, like the day before my birthday and
on my birthday, like I just had a big cry
and like I just you know, and they're not sad tears,
they're just you know, they're happy tears. And thank you
God for blessing me another day, blessed me another year,
(02:26):
you know, all the things right, all the things. So
I was just sitting here, I was like, you know,
the place, Georgia is sometimes unreal, right, Like Georgia is
sometimes unreal, But.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Georgia has a thing with inspiring you. Right, Georgia. You
move to Georgia and you feel.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
As if that as if that just roll with y'all,
just row, but you feel like you need to do more,
you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, it
is what it is. There's a lot of homeless people here.
I ain't never seen nothing like I thought New Orleans
had a battle and skied roll. But Atlanta the kind
of there too, They kind of the there too.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Oh oh oh oh yeah. I stayed at Atlanta.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I don't stay in Atlanta, but I stay around Atlanta. Okay,
ex just in case anybody was wondering.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
But I feel like.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
It inspires you because you have you know, you have
your blue collars or your you know, your middle class whatnot.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
People that just work and go that eight to five,
nine to five.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Like me.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
You know, I consider myself middle class.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
You know, I ain't there yet, but I ain't the
big ain't in that that high taxt breakage this year.
Prayer Forlly. I'll be there soon, right. But you know,
but then you have it's a lot of millionaires here,
and you know in Atlanta. It is a lot of
millionaires here in Atlanta, and it's a lot of money
rolling through here.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
So I feel like once you get here, you get settled,
and you you know, you get it austed to living here,
you know what I mean? Cause it is more fast
paced than where I'm from, and the t the time
is just the time is just crazy to me. Time
flies by uphill, Okay, time flies by so quickly. But
like I said, it inspires me to want to do better.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
It inspires me to want to do more, because.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Yeah, why not, Cause baby, I can't wait to go
into the Louis Store or Sex Fifth Avenue and just
actually to you know, actually go in there and to
be able.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
To shop like I wanna do that like that's so,
that's a bucket list.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
A man like them goals like I want to go
shop and buy something ridiculous surprise, okay, I mean, and
don't feel bad about it or feel guilty about it,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
But Yo, your girl wants.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
To go shopping like for real, for real, I don't
wanna just do windows shopping. I ain't never been a
fan of that shit. I ain't never been a fan
of that shit. Like I want if I'm going to
the store, I'm buying something. Okay, that is my goal.
That is the whole purpose of me going to the
That's just what it is. But this this, this this
city makes you want to do better.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
And I don't see nothing wrong with it.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Okay, don't get me around on Traffic's still crazy, people
still drive crazy. But I feel like that that's anywhere nowadays.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
But I'm inspire like a mug, Like I'm so freaking inspired, y'all,
Like it got the the the brain just rolling and
just like and your girl trying in things. You know,
I'm actually putting myself out there, like I'm being more
out there, you know what I mean, Because I've been
(05:36):
such a homebody and just being afraid to do things
and start things and to actually see them through. Like
that was hard for me. But now that I'm doing it,
like it's the best thing ever.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Like I love it.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
I am like a TikTok nunkie at this point, Like
I'm posting my content, like and that's all you see
on my feet, postal content, post content.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
So once you hit that stuff, so you start posting it. Right.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
So I'm doing my thing on TikTok. I'm doing this
weight outs. I'm down fifty four pounds by decemble, I
have you down maybe one hundred some pounds. Okay, we're
gonna see it.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
That goes.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
You know, I wanna I want to shift my career
in what I'm doing now, you know what I mean,
Like I want to I want to do something different
I do. I wanna do some different. I wanna be
able to be creative in that role. I want to
be seen, you know what I mean. I'm sure a
lot of us feel like we're not being seen at
our jobs, and we know that we have way more
to offer, way more to bring to the table, Like
(06:37):
those are just things.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
But I want to.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
I wanna even if that means me creating my own thing, right,
Me creating my own thing, me being the lead person,
me being the person that you see when you have
to call, or whatever the case may be. But I
am ready to shift my career and that is the
one thing that being here and let's stay almost two years,
(07:01):
like it is definitely inspiring me.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
You know, it's not just inspiring me. I feel like it's.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Inspiring my child, Like we are, you know, Mama. She'd
be like, Mama, let's do this. And I was like,
can let's do that? You know what I mean, Like,
let's do something, let's try something different, and we just
out here doing it like I don't know what it is.
And I know y'all be maybe like they're, girl, it's crazy,
she don't know she's talking about. But I'm dead serious.
I'm dead serious like this, Yeah it is. And I
(07:31):
ain't gonna say I'm from a small town, my girl.
We ain't small, but you know, it's Atlanta's way bigger
for sure. So it's a lot more going on. It's
a lot more you know, things happening, and and I
love that it's so many of my black people, you
know what I mean, so many of my meloning people
that are winning, that are thriving, that are surviving here.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
You know what I mean, Like I get it.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
I understand why people are moving here all the time.
I definitely understand. I get it because once you get here,
it's the shit is kind of empowering, you know what
I mean. Like it's crazy. I know, it's crazy, I know,
but it's just like kind of empowering.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
So I love it, you know.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Like I've said before, I'm I'm getting adjusted to being here,
and just you really have to put yourself out there,
like you really have to put yourself out there for real,
like it is.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
A real, real thing. But yeah, that's just what it is.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
I So I guess what I'm saying is, I'm kind
of glad I made the mood of Georgia now two
years later, right, two years later, But I'm glad I
made the mood of Georgia because I'm meeting I'm meeting
the right people, right, I'm meeting the right people. I'm
doing things, and you know, people are noticing and then
you know people are reaching out and supporting and stuff
like that, and I love that for me.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
I love that for them too.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
But I definitely love it for me, okay, because people
are seeing me for me, and I feel like that's important.
So with that being said, I don't wanta try to
get hired of me of saying mean me, me, me, cause.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
It's not gonna always be about me.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
But right now, in my healing season, I'm in my
you know, my healing journey and that I'm learning who
I am. I'm rediscovering who i am, not just a mom,
not just a employee, not just a sister or daughter,
a friend, like I'm realizing like I am.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
I'm Courtney. You know, Courtney who was dope, Courtney who
was fun, Courtney who.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
May cush you out from time to time if you
you know what I mean, if you talk to her
crazy it's something like that.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
But that's just me, okay. But I enjoy that.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
I Like I said before, I enjoy learning myself and
figuring out things that I like and free things that
I don't like, you know, like those things are important
to me. So I'm enjoying this rise. So yeah, I
will hear hear more about my healing journey and the
things that I'm doing and stuff like that. And that's
that was, you know, that's always been a premise of
(10:02):
this podcast. To be able to express yourself, to be
able to let people know like what's going on, being
able to heal and motivate people, inspire people. And that
may be times that may be some controversy on here,
but it is what it is. I want to be motivating, Okay.
I want to be an inspiration to somebody, just to
(10:26):
just even if it's just one person, I want to
be an inspiration to someone and let them know that.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
I too have been through that storm. It may not be.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
One hundred percent, but it's damn there fifty sixty percent.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Okay. So looking at me being.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Able to talk and express the things that I've gone through,
I feel like that. I feel like that's a good
thing because you're showing someone that they made it out
the storm. That mean I can make it up this
storm too. I just gotta keep holding on. I gotta
be patient. I gotta wait a little bit more longer,
you feel me, I gotta wait a little bit more longer.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
And that is my overall goal.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
That is my overall goal, just to let somebody know that, baby,
I get it.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Like life is hard sometimes, you know what I mean,
shit get hard sometimes, like life is overwhelming, you feel me,
So I definitely understand. But I wanna be that person
that just pops up on your on your on your
commercial ads while you listening to some music or watching
TV or something like that, like on YouTube or something like.
I want to be that person who pops up and
(11:37):
you hear something that I see and it just resonates,
like it just freaking resonates to what you going through
right now.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
And I'm on the other end. But I've made it.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Through that storm, and I'm telling y'all you know, I'm
I'm I'm letting y'all know the beginning of that store,
the middle end of ending, and how I'm thriving now.
You know, it took some work, it took some tears,
it took some hard work, but most importantly, it took
me praising to God and just relinquishing all of.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
That to God.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
You feel what I'm saying like I relinquished it all
to God.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
So that is.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
That is my whole motive for this to be able
just to express because I feel like this is such
a delicate, fragile time that we are in right now,
right like everything is just crazy. At this point, everything
is crazy, and I know it's just so overwhelming for
all of us. And I promise y'all, I had did
not try to get stuck on this topic right here
or get into the fields. But God is using me
right now, and I feel like I got expressive. So,
(12:34):
like I said, once again, it's a very delicate time.
It's a very fragile time that we're going through, and
I feel like we need to be able to just
talk this shit out, Okay. I feel like we need
to be able to express the things that we are
feeling because we never know who's going through the same
shit we going through.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
We never know who is going through that. You never
ever know.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
But to be able to express that shit and let
some of this stuff just go and fall off your shoulders,
that is so important, you know what I mean. So
I get why people are doing podcasts. I get why
people are on social media sites and posting contents and
telling people what's going on in their life. I get
that shit. I understand it because it's a form of therapy.
(13:19):
It's the form of letting go, it's the form of
releasing So I get that. I truly definitely understand that
so keep doing it, keep doing it, keep doing it.
And that is my whole premise, my whole purpose for
my podcast. You know, like I say, it won't always
be about me, but now in this season, it's about me.
(13:39):
It's about me, it's about me healing, it's about me
loving myself again.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
It's about me just me being me.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
It's about me just being me. Okay. So I hope
that y'all will continue to listen. I hope that y'all
will continue to support and send your girl love. I promise,
I promise. I promise that I'm gonna have some guests
on here. I'm gonna even have some people on here
that's gonna interview me.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
You know what I mean. Like I do.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Promise to give y'all debts, but I need y'all to
work with me, work with me.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Trust me. I got a plan, I promise you I do.
I trust me.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
I got a process to all of this. I promise
you I do. But right now, I just need y'all here, Okay.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
I just need y'all.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Here with me, listening, loving on me. I'm loving back
on y'all, Like, let's do that. Like that's what it's about.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
At the end of the day.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
But I just wanted to get on here and let
y'all know me moving to this state two years later,
I get it. You know, I needed change. I wanted change,
and I came here and just being here and just
watching how people are moving and shaking and just you know,
people working multiple jobs.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Like people are doing whatever they can do to be ahead.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
You know, we're all in survival mode, unfortunately, especially the
ones who don't have no real money, you know what
I mean. Like, we're all in survival mode. So you know,
we having to do extra things, we having to do
work multiple jobs and stuff. Because n honey, I got
to do it too. I got to find me a
second job. Let's just be honest, because times are hard
right now, but they ain't gonna always be a hard job.
(15:19):
They ain't gonna be always be hard. I promise you
they won't. Trust in God.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
That's all you gotta do. Trust in God.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Okay, don't worry, cause worrying ain't gonna do nothing.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Worrying ain't gonna help you. But yeah, that was my
little tadbit.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Keep keep showing up, keep liking me, keep supporting me,
y'all do know i'm'a have my rents and I jump
subject to subject, topic to top of whatever you wanna
call it best to me. But thank y'all for s
for still keep showing up for me. Okay, I appreciate
that way more than y'all ever know. Keep liking, keep
time in. Like I said, if y'all wanna check me out,
(15:56):

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Me a little short real no YouTube. I got a
little views. But I'm so happy.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
I'm so happy. I'm so proud of myself because I'm
no longer hairding behind the cor the camera. Okay, I
no longer have behind the camera anymore. Like this is
who you get, this is who you see. You get
all of me at this point. Okay, it's like I'm
it is what it is, Okay, But yeah, I dropped
a YouTube video. I think it's a short reel. It's
(16:57):
like maybe a little bit over three minutes. And I'm
excited about that. And it's a part of my healing,
you know what I mean, Just being more open, being
more comfortable, just stepping outside of my box, just stepping
outside of my box. Okay, that's just what it is.
And I feel good about that. I feel good about that.
So I think at some point I'm going to start.
(17:17):
At some point, not right now, we gonna go live
on you Food. We gonna do it that way. We
gonna transition it. We gonna go live on you School.
Of course, I'll still put my audio on my own,
