to pull.

With your new friend.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
My eyes are cream.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Because I eat a lot of fish to pull.
Speaker 5 (00:36):
It.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
Don't have nothing to do with your new friends.
Speaker 6 (00:48):

Speaker 8 (01:10):
Whoa whoa, whoa whoa, oh, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 9 (01:44):
Ny everybody, welcome back for The Black Show About Nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
It's Jada xts.
Speaker 6 (01:59):
Yeah, I can't hit it like I used to the
Christina notes.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Oh boy, we're back.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
It's been a while since we've talked to you all
in living colure with the US over the Pond. But yeah,
welcome to The Black Show About Nothing. You know, Tell
a friend, Tell a friend. I'll get all this business
stuff out of the way. Subscribe to us our YouTube,
subscribe to us all day true and it's just grassroots production.
(02:35):
So help a brother and a sister out, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 6 (02:37):
That's right?
Speaker 3 (02:40):
And all that jazz and how have you been?
Speaker 6 (02:45):
We'll chat through that. We'll chat about that through the episode.
But I will start off by saying, rest rest, I
hope you are resting well eased. I hope your journey
was easeful. To Asada Shakur, we lost a giant physically
(03:11):
who has been such a voice for us as a
people who are seeking liberation. We know the picture that
has been painted, we know the narrative that has been
put out there, but we also know what it really is.
And so you know, with Asida being exiled for so long,
(03:33):
I just pray that she has the utmost peace and
ease for her spirit. And so, yeah, that has to
be acknowledged. If you have not read the autobiography of
Asada Shakur, it is one of my most worn books
because it is one of my most read books of
(03:56):
my life. Of my life, you must must get a copy.
We speak very often about liberation on this show. We
speak very often about the state of the world, and
these things are not new. Uh And so she's such
an example for us in in in the spirit of
(04:19):
true liberation and activism.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
So I definitely want to make sure her name was honored.
At the top of this episode, you know we're gonna
knock out a little bit of news I want. This
is not your news outlet, So I got a message
and I wanted to make sure I addressed it. You know,
about the lack of news lately, A lot of this
comes from us sometimes pre recording some you know, there's
(04:47):
been a lot of travel recently, so there's you know,
some recording has not been done. And also, this is
not your news outlet. I like to call this your
your alert outlet. You know, you know what I'm saying,
your awareness outlet to Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
When you put the little save, when the Instagram posts
(05:08):
with the little flag, I want you to just take
these very few things and then go and continue to
make sure that you make yourself aware as to what's
going on in the world. And just because I may
not report the news and bullet by bullet point detail,
it doesn't mean that awareness is not meant to still
be had and we're not supposed to still be doing
(05:29):
our due diligence because things are not stopping. There was
a quote unquote cease fire deal that was proposed yet again,
but also it comes with fine print and footnotes and asterisks,
and it's untrustworthy. So I don't put a lot of
stock into that until we actually see a change and
(05:51):
we know that they've done nothing but continue to ramp
up violence, which is so hard to believe when we've
been watching NonStop massacres for the last two years. So
they're also still doing tricky, nasty things such as you know,
there's been one of the largest flotilla missions is going
(06:14):
on where they are trying to break the siege and
Gaza and are being attacked in Italian waters and all
over the place that is not their jurisdiction. So you know,
you can't trust you can you can only you can't
trust the word until you see some real true action.
And obviously we know the times that we're living in.
(06:35):
We know what we're looking at on this side of things,
and I'll talk more a little bit more about how
that looks and the rest of the show, but we
you know, we're looking nuts over here, you know what
I'm saying, and rightfully so, because things are crazy and
these are untrustworthy human beings. So just stay on the
alerts and make sure you you continue to read and
(06:56):
you continue to support in the ways that you can.
Sometimes it's a matter even if you don't have the
funds at the time, because I know we're all living
in tumultuous times. There's also just the continued awareness and
to let people know that they are not forgotten, letting
the Palestinian people know that they are not forgotten and
that we are still continuing to bring awareness. Also, still
(07:20):
ongoing genocide in Sudan not stop, and as matter of fact,
sometimes less awareness has had, you know what I mean.
So we want to continue to check out what's going
on on the ground in Sudan as well, with the
RSF and the SAFF continuing to fight, you know, and
(07:42):
it's not being acknowledged on the world front as a genocide. Likewise,
in Congo trigger warning, but women and girls are being
assaulted at disgusting rates and at ages that are just
just mind boggling. Not that that should be happening at
(08:06):
any age, let's be very clear. But also like when
you hear about things being done to children, there is
an extra level of heartbreak there. And so we just
don't want to forget what's going on in the world.
We want to make sure that we're continuing to raise
awareness of what's going on in the world. And yeah,
I want to make sure I started off the episode
that way. How are you doing what's going on with you, you.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Know, trying to make sense of the world that we
live in and find joy. You know, actually joy is
not the word. I'm tired of the word joy. I'm
looking for a better word. Ah yeah, I guess the lightness.
(08:52):
I'm looking for something more profound. Maybe I'll think about
it fair and it'll come to me. But like I I,
the last few weeks have been have been heavy, just societally.
But then I and I think I've talked about it
on this show, where I always have to think about
(09:12):
you know, black people wrote a blueprint on liberation, so
like we gonna be okay regardless, so I have to
keep that in the forefront of my mind. And also,
especially now, more so than ever, I've been seeing the
other side quote unquote eat themselves. So I'm just kind
(09:33):
of just sitting here, Like remember that meme of like
when Raven was eating the sandwich, he was just chuckling
to herself, Like.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
That's kind of where I am now, you know. Yeah, But.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
As far as like life and stuff, yeah yeah, that's real.
Like I mean, in true no words have ever been said,
but I'm still here, Yeah, you know what I mean.
Like Tisha, we shaded her. But that was a sermon,
(10:09):
you know, like through all the bullshit, I'm still by
the fucking yard.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
I'm not built to break or whatever.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Those like shirts, you know, yeah, shirts or Instagram captions
that they got from song lyrics, that kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
But let's take a break.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
And we'll be back with more j next hit it Claude.
Speaker 6 (10:57):
After these messages will be right back.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Born out of South Africa in new video game of
hopes to present an alternative to dominant narratives around repatrilation.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
What's this all about? Treaties were signed, promises made and broken?
Is it steed to take back what was stolen? And
we're black.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
So it's been a couple of weeks since we've actually
recorded as alive tape main show.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
So, Jade, you were across the pond?
Speaker 6 (11:44):
Oh I was. I was. But before we get into that,
I just had a couple of things on the docket.
I wanted to talk to you about. Okay, First, well,
appoint one I have just been made aware of to
Shina Arnold's daughter. Yes, Auntie is a fan. Okay, let
(12:11):
me tell you something. I am a fan of this child.
Whatever she does, I will support it, not just a vote.
She's a personality. She's like a little young woman. She's
her mother. She is a little Jamie Fox like. She
is hilarious, she is her voice is crazy. She is
(12:32):
a dancer. Okay, not a dance. She is a dancer, Honey,
be improving down. I am a fan and I cannot
wait to see all of the different things that she does.
You saw I sent you the video or her and
our girl they're besties. And I love that.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Yes, I love the fact that, like the younger generations
are besties, right, Like Christa's cool with Brandy's daughter, like
and all that. Sina Arnold's daughter is cool with Chris,
Like you know what I mean, Like that's awesome.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
You know it warms my you know where my heart
used to be, you know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (13:10):
Yeah, that that is you want to talk about things
that bring you like small joys, you know, while we're
in the middle of hell. Like that was one of
those things where I found myself just like smiling at
the phone. I was like, look at the I just
am in love with her. So I'll send you a
clip to play of the two of them singing, so
you can throw it.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
In right here.
Speaker 6 (13:34):
Let me with your hot he wants it off today,
show me, show me with your life now, he wants
it all today. Why what what are you about to say?
Speaker 4 (13:57):
We're not going to say their name or any of
their names, So I'm gonna speak in code because I
don't want us to get, you know, taken down by
the powers that you know whatever. So you know, there
(14:17):
was a big WrestleMania funeral the other day, and you
know there's mixed feelings and emotions about you know, WrestleMania, Omega, whatever,
and so Dark Child nine nine decided to go on
(14:41):
the gram and post their support of of, uh, you know,
the main event. And I totally forgot that there a maggot.
(15:01):
Oh And I say this to say because there is
a meme of this little girl who's like so excited,
She's like, oh my god, like she's cheating so excited,
And for the longest I thought it was something from
Toddlers and Tierra's no Friend that actually happens to be
(15:25):
Dark Child nine nine's daughter getting ready to sing for
the r n C.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
At whatever year that.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Was okay, you know, and this is this goes to
you know, the all skin folk and kin folk thing,
you know, and this is what I was when.
Speaker 6 (15:45):
We're nigga, I just.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
You picked them all when I put down Wait of it?
Speaker 6 (16:01):
Not the jerk?
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Yeah, dark Time that night by what buttons say my
name nigga? Like mm hmm Angel in disguise?
Speaker 6 (16:17):
What what her best fucking songs? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:25):
Also, Joe ate that up to in the background. You
know what we need to talk about future episode. How
you remember back in the day, how there was just
random niggas on songs and they didn't get credit for them,
and you had no idea who the fuck they were, Like, Joe,
want to use your heart?
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Niggas? Thought that was im? Like that's shading. We need
to do an episode about it.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
Just wasn't Mary? Was Mary on the background of Who
was on the background of of Case? Uh?
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Today?
Speaker 6 (17:02):
Oh? That was Mary? Mary was on touch me, tease me,
hold on? Who was on? Was that Beyonce on video?
She's in the video she's the leading lady? But who
is what's the name of the fucking song? Thank you God?
Damn Happily ever after case typing like Tony Braxton, be
(17:27):
your man, your protecting, your best man. My life is
in dame and job kisame that was what's worse? Tony Brexton,
(17:47):
witty Hooton? Yeah, way, who was I'm hold on who
was on the backgrounds?
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Couldn't we be he efter? We ever? After?
Speaker 6 (18:03):
Uh huh, yeah, we know, we know Beyonce is the
leading lady, but who's on the background. I'm gonna now
this is gonna buy. I can't believe the jerks. Wait,
the jerk is a maggot.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 6 (18:20):
Mm hmmm, dark child name. You know what, It's funny
you say that because I was having a conversation with
a friend about early Kanye, and you know, I just
can't pay this nigga no mine because he's just not
(18:42):
well you know what I mean. I don't feel one
way or the other. I'm just like, eh, but I
had not revisited early music prior a certain time in
some time, So I did. I revisited some very early albums.
(19:02):
It's so fascinating, like we already know, Like I was
a fan, so I know the lyrics even I'm just
as they come back. I'm just like, you know, I'm
singing along and I'm like, oh, this takes me back
to a place in the time. But even him speaking
like he spoke about his grandmother, uh participating in sit
ins and so forth, and you know the type of
(19:24):
spirits that that that that protect him and walk with
him because of the lineage that he comes from. And
it got me because I was driving while I was
doing this, and I was thinking to myself, I said,
did the ancestors ever just like ghost you? No pun intended,
but like that was a good one Jado's spot. Okay,
(19:51):
But do they like did like when you get to
that place. I'm like, I just wonder do they just
do they leave you at any point? Like this Nigga
is lost? Yes, I gotta go talk. I gotta go
talk to you. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
I gotta go. I do feel like that didn't that
happen in Oh?
Speaker 6 (20:12):
It was a lady named Ronda Blackwell. We don't even
know who she is. I'm so sorry that was a
background atheleopathy?
Speaker 3 (20:22):
What was what was that movie? Coco?
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Right?
Speaker 3 (20:26):
When you know?
Speaker 4 (20:27):
I felt like, your ancestors do leave you if you
don't keep remembering them, which is going to be my
next point. I feel like, just not just Kanye, but
a lot of people I have lost reverence or talk
greasy now about us as a people because of the
(20:50):
fact that we're not forced to socialize with old people anymore.
Speaker 6 (20:57):
You know, slavery might have been fun rhetoric, And I'm like,
don't confuse what XD says with you all's wayward motherfucking ideologies.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Twist your words around.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
But no, but I feel like, you know, a lot
of things are rooted in like you know, going to
your grandparents' house, going down south in summer.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
You know, now that's not a thing really, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
I feel like with the advent of things just getting
more expensive, I think that lessened this idea of like
passing down brought up see you know what I mean
because of the fact, like I you know, talking about
to you know, capitalism, right, everything I stuff like expensive
and we had to become.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
An individualism the rabbit wheel.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
Yeah, and individualism right, well, I think that's what bread,
that's what came out of it, right, Like, because capitalism,
you're stuck in this wheel, you know, you have to well,
well damn it, I'm just going to focus on me in.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Mind, because I've worked this.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Hard and i'mself im tired that I don't have time
for a community m h.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
But I yeah, I think about a lot of a
lot of folks we lost to the War on Terror,
you know what I mean? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (22:28):
Literally, goddamn, it's literally the War on Terror. Goddamn.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
We lost a lot because because of individualism, capitalism and
a weird, warped version of community that people want to
participate in.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
Yeah. And I'll say.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
That by as an example, if you just look at
the current makeup of the NBA.
Speaker 6 (22:59):
Because everybody like mashed potatoes.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
I'm not saying.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
I'm not saying, but I'm just saying, Okay, you just
looked at Bannis.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
I told you. I'll just play NBA two K, the
new latest one. It's crazy.
Speaker 6 (23:14):
It's like love It Loving Virginia.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Yeah, they lean in.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Your father is a black Bear and your mama is
Quinn from Scandal.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
It's nuts. Regardless of what creative player you do, we're.
Speaker 6 (23:29):
Entering the range where you could hear your name called.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
But okay, everybody remembers I want to hear it.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
On TV first, Okay?
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Change? All right? What what next? Biggs?
Speaker 6 (23:37):
In moments like this.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Don't just happen. What's the next thing in the twenty
twenty five NBA?
Speaker 6 (23:46):
MM hmm, well, moving right along.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
The tanning of America.
Speaker 6 (23:57):
America's going beige, like it's crazy. It's like when I
moved to Oklahoma, I said, why is everybody mixed?
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Like I was?
Speaker 6 (24:07):
Then I went to dinner and I said, why is
everybody god damn mixed here? What's going on?
Speaker 3 (24:14):
What you love? It's just you know, this is just
this is the way of the world.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
Yeah, yeah, no, you're not wrong speaking of the way
of the world and also going back to the natural
order of things. Yes, I let me explain why theoryans
(24:40):
have entered school what But let me tell you. So
she comes home, right, she's like, you know, that's my child.
You know, that's my kid. You know the way we cackle,
we get it's busy on, you know that. So she
(25:03):
came here she goes mam. I said, what, girl, we
got Theorians in school? I was like, oh, they where
it is? She was like one of them had on
a tail. So I was like, so, what's like, I said,
(25:25):
I'm assuming these are some of the sixth graders because
you didn't last year. I asked her flat out if
she had Theorians in her school, and she was like, no, girl.
So she was like. She was like, yeah, and she goes, yeah,
it's the sixth grader, some of the sixth graders, she goes,
and we've just been making fun of them. And I
was like, I was like, you know, I do feel
(25:48):
like bullying has been lost, you know, you know in
the anti bullying campaigns. Rightfully so, but there's a healthy
dose that builds character. But what I did tell her,
I said, don't make fun of them little niggas to
their face, because let me tell you, if somebody is
bold enough to wear a tail to school, they are
bold enough to do something else. So don't you let
(26:09):
your name and your face be caught up. And no, no,
uh you know, and.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
I in truth, you know how I feel about life.
In true survivor fashion, you're gonna have to be friend.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Of somebody else. So when it's time to vote, hello, hello,
you know what I mean. Vote in this political class,
Lord Jesus, when.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
You have to make a decision, you just want to
make sure that you know if they're feeling froggy that day,
that they know.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
And that's why that's why I was like, do not
let do how you giggle to yourself? Don't you giggle?
I was like, you come home, you giggle with me.
I was like, you can giggle internally, but you just
make sure you hello. I was like, I need, I
need you to try to turn your head all the
way around relate to this bitch because I don't need,
(27:11):
I need, no problem, I don't need. And I hate
that I have to have those conversations with her in
this day and age, Like she came home and told
me about their drill the other day, and Mama's irritated
about their drills because she feels like they're useless, not
the drill itself, but their actual protocol. And I said,
if you don't feel comfortable and you don't feel safe,
(27:32):
and you feel like it's lacking in something, speak up.
You have every right to go to the administration and
say these are this is not effective.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
And honestly, that's how change gets done, especially at the
at the youth level. Right if they realize, you know,
they are kind of aptalistic to children because children.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Are more honest. Yes, yes, and they don't.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
Have political ISSI so, well, yeah, so, but you know
that's what I'm like, you know, encouraged, not just know it,
but just in every child in your life. If they have, yeah,
that concerning for the greater populace of their of their life,
(28:18):
you know.
Speaker 6 (28:20):
And what I'm gonna do is because you know, they
follow through is terrible. So what I'm gonna do is
I'm gonna email and be like, Noah came home and
expressed some concerns around your your SS policies and in
safety policies, and you know, set up a meeting, and
then I'm gonna allow her to have that space in
that meeting to speak because she didn't just come and
(28:42):
complain to me about the protocol they had. She came
with solutions as well. She was like, I don't like this,
this doesn't feel safe for this reason, this reason, and
this reason and this reason. I looked up other schools
and what their protocols are, and this seems effective, and
this seems effective, and so I'm going to talk to
them because they just have us basically sitting there like
(29:03):
sitting ducks, and there are other things that can be
implemented to be a little bit more proactive. And I
was like, I fucks with you, like I fucks with
you my kid, you know what I mean, I really,
I really do.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
I love the fact that she has taken safety, her
own safety and taking responsibility for it.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
Yes, she shouldn't have to.
Speaker 4 (29:31):
And you know, it's also where we are in the
world exactly where you know, it's it's been evident that
powers that be don't give a shit about children, so
even a lot of the parents. So you know, I'm
glad that she has shown initiative and you know, and
(29:52):
like saying like, no, this ship is unsafe and here's
some ways to fix the ship. Yeah, I love I
love I love a good informed reads.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
You know what I mean, me too.
Speaker 6 (30:03):
She did her research. She was like, this school is
doing this and this and this, this is not out
of our realm of control, Like we can do these things.
So I'm so proud of her.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
Yeah, yeah, same here. It's also interesting.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
We've been watching I think I told you a lot
of like short film and there was one about an
actor shooter on campus and it was very similar to
like when Noah was saying how the policy was literally
just kind of them sitting there and waiting, yeah, and
(30:42):
then getting under a desk and then barricading.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
It.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
Had that wasn't the pot of the story, but it
was just like the kids were like, this is kind
of silly, And while we were watching it, I was
like when I had when I was in school, we
had earthquake drills of color. I was like, this is
the same thing, So I can't imagine how you could
apply this to active shooter. Like when I was in
high school, we had this thing called every fifteen minutes,
like this activation that they did on campus sometimes to
(31:12):
stimulate school shooters, and like it was.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
A big deal and to do, but it was like.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
Nothing came of it, you know what I mean because
at that time, at that time, twenty five years ago,
school shooters and things were such an abstract thing.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
It was so like.
Speaker 6 (31:37):
Yeah, what yeah, now.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Every fifteen minutes.
Speaker 6 (31:44):
She also brought up a good point and she was like,
you know, we do all these drills, but that means
somebody could be listening to everything that we're supposed to
be doing. So how do you all handle that too?
Like she was asking the she was Linda Eller being all,
and I was like, yes, yes exactly.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Like I'm just all the time we've watched the news,
I'd be like, I don't think y'all should be reporting
on this.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Y'all don't think that.
Speaker 4 (32:10):
Quote unquote enemiesic Hello, ain't listening, They're not watching c
SPAN or fucking access to Hollywood.
Speaker 6 (32:17):
You know, the smartest niggas ever stop. So I'm just
that was one of those like damn, I really birthed
the gym, you know what I'm saying. Like it was
one of those moments where I just was, I just
was just proud of her, just as a human, just
as a person. So that was dope. That was dope.
But yeah, switching gears, I went to London for the
(32:45):
first year I did, went to London, so I thought
I would share Cyrus. The osiris of this ship really
is the Dutch and the Portuguese, but also Portuguese had
a portuge Geese, the Spanish, Belgian people, you know what
I'm saying. You know, all of them just you know,
(33:06):
they all just piggybacked off of each other's hate and theft.
But but you know, these niggas figured out how to
perfect it in the in the in the colonialism aspect.
So yes, I went to the belly of the beast
jet playing it up to the sky, spread wings and
(33:26):
clouds high. I didn't know if I was gonna be
able to get in first. So now you need a
visa to go over there, and it's easy.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
You just go through because oh yeah, because.
Speaker 6 (33:50):
Exactly exactly. And they, you know, they don't want to
let nobody in our ship. So they're like, all right,
were playing get the back seats. So they're asking questions
in this little survey, and of course, you know, the
last question was have you ever been accused or have
you ever been accused of a war crime? Do you
(34:10):
support terrorisms? It's something else?
Speaker 5 (34:15):
And I was like.
Speaker 6 (34:18):
No, I was like no, I was like, matter of fact,
actually no, I actually really do not because the people
who are doing the terrorizing, I don't support that. I
don't support that at all. I'm here for the people.
So and no, I've never been accused of a war crime.
Anybody have had to ran up on me on the
beach and asked me if I bombed the babies. You
(34:38):
know what I'm saying. So, okay, well I drove past it.
But that's it, you know, And the Hague don't do
sit anyway exactly what do you mean? They're just there
as a church of scientology. Please Tex right off, because
(35:00):
y'all ain't doing shit, and it's not funny, but you know,
we're just learning how to laugh through our pain, because
you all have been ineffective as fuck, even all you
countries who are like, oh yeah, we recognize Palestine as
a country, man, Okay, shut the fuck up, because what
happened all this time? What were y'all doing all of
this time?
Speaker 3 (35:19):
Here?
Speaker 6 (35:20):
We are too little, too motherfucking late. Anyway, I'm not
going to go there right now. So I went back in.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Time and curry sauce and bags and shit.
Speaker 6 (35:32):
So I went back in time for a day. I
went back in time almost the whole trip, but really
the first day because I didn't have any phone service
over there.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Oh how primitive, and.
Speaker 6 (35:44):
My homegirl didn't have any phone service over there, and
we didn't go in with like plans. We went in.
It was very vintage. I was like, oh, it's nineteen
ninety three. It's like that time I had to drive
to Atlanta with map Quest. Oh god, I got lost
(36:08):
in the backwoods of Alabama somewhere. It was because one
of the exits was closed and all I had was
that fucking print out. So that's how we were navigating
the city that first day. And I was like, this
is actually not bad. This is this is like they
have a really effective train system. And so if you
(36:29):
can navigate the MTA, you can navigate their train system
as long as you know where you're going and you
start figuring out get your bearings first, right, because I
had no bearings, because I had nothing to go off of.
So that was that was a good time. It was
fun to be able to like ask questions and not
be able to google them because it was like, oh shit,
you know, I got to use my brain or like
(36:50):
I have to look this up later. You know, it
makes you be in the moment. I stayed in Paddington,
which is in Kensington, which is a bear literally that
is what Paddington. Paddington Bear was based off of Paddington.
So the train station has Paddington Bear like statues and right,
(37:14):
it was very cute, very nostalgic. Visited all of the
black areas. Uh, there's a bar in Peckham. So Peckham
is where Damson address is from and all of his
ilk and so we went to a black owned bar,
I believe it's Nigerian own called Prince of Peckham and
(37:37):
they got this. So you want to let's talk. You
want to talk about some British beef so what you
call so let's talk about some beef Wellington.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
So pie everything.
Speaker 6 (37:52):
Oh yeah, they do love a beef pie. They did
love a pie like a pot pie situation.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
Everything is a crush.
Speaker 6 (38:01):
So they got this white man in this bar. So
the bar is called Prince of Peckham. But then they
serve food and the and it's it's Caribbean food. It's
jerk chicken and all of that rice and peas well chips,
you know, a little slow whatever the case is, the
(38:22):
name of the the Jerk Company is white men can't jerk.
And it's a white man who does the jerk chicken.
And he does the jerk chicken for Prince of Peckla.
So I guess they've had some some people who are
like not happy with that setup, which you know, I
(38:43):
get it, you know now asking me how the jerk
chicken was delicious, nigga so decent, I was like, uh,
I said, a couple of places in flat Bush, like
this is a bottle this is about And I felt
(39:06):
crazy skin could have been a little crispy er, but
outside of that, I was like the flavor of it was.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
I was.
Speaker 6 (39:15):
Not mad at it, but I did laugh at that
Beef Wellington. And also that name white Man Can't Jerk
is funny as fuck to me personally.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
That sounds like a like a hot sauce that you
would pick up at a rest.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Stop like they ca.
Speaker 6 (39:34):
Yeah, little pepper sauce situation. So that was cute. Went
to the Natural History Museum Science Museum because the goal
was to hit a couple of museums and and make
sure we see all the things before people come back
and take their ship back. You know what I'm saying,
because the big thieves they got everything over there, and
(39:56):
let me tell you, they got everything. So this Natural
Science and History Music has one of the largest like
Homo sapian Homo erectus exhibits I've ever seen where they
have original skulls and bones of uh descendants Homo you know,
(40:21):
descendants of Homo sapiy or not descendants of home. You
know what I'm talking about, Like the Homo erectus, the
the people before our current makeup of human such as
a nigga name mister Cheddar or some ship like that.
That's actually you can go look that up. Yeah, So
that was that was very fascinating. You know how I
(40:42):
feel about dinosaurs. So they have a whole dinosaur exhibited there.
I had a good time with that. They have a
whole like earthquake and volcano exhibit where they have a
mock so you know, the big, the huge, the giant earthquake.
In Japan, there's a they have a display that is
(41:05):
a store front and you go up on this platform
in this storefront and it's like it's set up like
a store and then they have the video footage and
the video footage is the real earthquake in a store
and the people like because obviously it's like, you know,
it's CCTV footage and the people are experiencing the earthquake
(41:31):
and then the floor starts to shake in this exhibit
and they got you in this mock earthquake, and I
was like, I don't know, how do people of Japan
feel about this?
Speaker 10 (41:43):
Like how yeah, how did they feel?
Speaker 3 (41:47):
How did they that's like having that's like having like a.
Speaker 4 (41:56):
Like a nine to eleven museum, but having like a
re enactment mm hmmmm hmmmm.
Speaker 6 (42:01):
Hmmmm exactly, like the smoke comes out and like rubble
and like what the fuck they got asked to live
it's weird.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
It was.
Speaker 6 (42:13):
It's weird to me.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
And also because that earthquake led to like nuclear destruction
as well.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
And I tied away like it was a lot.
Speaker 6 (42:26):
Yeah, yeah, it was.
Speaker 4 (42:29):
The audacity of white Butterland is crazy.
Speaker 6 (42:33):
They said, you know, we should do we should make
the floor shakes so they can feel like they're part
of it. So yeah, that was crazy.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
Interactive museums never work out, Like how we not see
Jurassic Park.
Speaker 6 (42:48):
Oh they have they've got like they've got descendants of
the velociraptors, but it's you know, they have bones. They
also have like like chuck E cheese, animatronic dinosaurs in
there too. So there's a t rex and then these
these there's these two I call them bird veloci raptors
is what they are. You look at that motherfucking claw
on that foot he.
Speaker 5 (43:08):
Slash, yeah, or maybe across the belly, spelling your intestines.
The point is you are alive when they start to
eat you, so you know, try to show a little respect.
Speaker 6 (43:30):
Would rip your fucking insides out in a breath, do
you hear me? But the things are up there and
they start moving and they squawka.
Speaker 4 (43:42):
How children friendly that would flip me out. You deal
with that at like eight Oh hell no, uh uh.
Speaker 6 (44:01):
I don't know why that was the song that can
dip it low. I don't know why. Oh what they
are squawking? Oh, here they go, here's a better one.
(44:22):
You see these fucking claws on those feet, niggla. You
have to be on Patreon and see all of that.
But so it was those But you know how I
feel about dinosaurs. So I was very pleased. I was
very pleased with that. And then there's more. Actually, but
we should take a little break, right and come back.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
Yeah, let's take a break.
Speaker 6 (44:46):
I hit a claud after these messages, will be right back.
It's the phenomenon rattling millennials. I just had my first
experience with the gen z stare and putting gen Z
on the defenses. Most of the time, it's us trying
to figure out if you're being for wilvernose, a blank
expression dubbed the gen z stare at the center of
(45:09):
the greatest generational beef on TikTok. They just look at you.
Speaker 3 (45:16):
And we're back. We're just catching her and all that.
So what else happened on your trip? So?
Speaker 6 (45:25):
Yeah, So I told you we did the museums. We
did the VNA Museum, which is like design and architecture.
It's a stupid name because it stands for Victorian Albert,
don't you know. I'm sure that has historical I just
was like, okay, beautiful museum, though full of stolen things,
(45:45):
full of stolen things. They have a whole Cardia exhibit
right now. And then the British Museum the og the
og of thievery, because they have that, like one of
you know that the largest Egyptian exhibits. Are they the
largest in the world. I don't see, I believe.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
So it's either them or the.
Speaker 6 (46:10):
French largest Egyptian exhibit.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
I want to say it's them.
Speaker 6 (46:19):
Oh well, no, it's where it should be. It's in Egypt.
But outside of that, okay, the Grand Egyptian Museum is
the largest one in Cairo. Well anyway, So we went
to the British Museum. That was the main place where
(46:41):
we were like, all right, we're gonna go We're gonna
go see all of those things before the Egyptian people
take all this shit back. So it's fascinating, frightening because
the big statue heads and gods and.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
It's so pretty and creepy exactly.
Speaker 6 (47:03):
It was like I felt it like in my body
when I walked in, and it's all like most of us.
I'm in Hotep. I'm in Hotep as a as a rock.
I'm in Hotep as a this. I'm in Hotep. So
I can't. I'm I'm, I'm, I'm walking around, I'm looking,
(47:23):
I look at the original Rosetta stone and you know, reading,
and I'm I am enjoying for all intents and purposes, right, Like,
I guess I'm fascinated. I'm taking it in. But I
could not shake the feeling that I felt uncomfortable the
entire time, and it was for multiple reasons. I had
to sit with it for a little bit. So I
(47:44):
was like, obviously, my number one reason is y'all stole
all this shit. You shouldn't have it, and I know
it shouldn't be in here, right. That was the immediate thoughts.
My next thoughts were, if a nigga has this many
statues dedicated to them of such grand dur, I can't
(48:10):
imagine they were like an amazing leader, you know.
Speaker 3 (48:13):
What I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (48:14):
I was like, no, they were either an amazing leader
or a complete douche monkey.
Speaker 6 (48:20):
And we know about the Egyptians in their history with
slavery and and.
Speaker 3 (48:27):
A lot of them, a lot of the pharaohs or
douche monkeys. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (48:32):
So also because they were like nine running like empires.
Speaker 6 (48:37):
There's also that because I too would probably be a
tyrant of a leader at nine years old. So there
was that. There was that aspect that crept up as well.
And then the other thing that got me thinking was
I was like, you know, I thought about, especially as
children of the eighties and nineties, you know, and black
power movements, and the usage of like Egyptian not just
(49:05):
ideology but symbolism in a lot of our pro black
you know stances. I was like, it's it's become like
this mysticism, right, It's become like this, even though it
was a real cult, It's become this mystic this black mysticism.
Like even when we went with we talked about that
(49:26):
cult and watched that video of that cult that started
off here in Bushwick and went down to Georgia and
they had their their fake temples and pyramids and all
kinds of things that they built. And I'm like, how
come niggas ain't never had no West African mysticism. Y'all
call West African quote unquote mysticism or African traditional African religions,
y'all call that voodoo. Europa all that, y'all call that demonic,
(49:53):
all it black magic, y'all call it demonic. Why is that?
I mean, we know why. Obviously I'm speaking rhetorically, But like,
those were all of the different thoughts that were coming
to my mind as I was walking through this exhibit.
But I don't think I've ever walked through an exhibit
and been so fascinated and so creeked out at the
(50:17):
same time. Like I had to acknowledge that that's what
I was feeling.
Speaker 4 (50:23):
Yeah, they had something similar in New York, like one
a couple of year decade or so ago, and it
was a lot of it was heavily Egyptian influence, and
it was very like a I feel a presence.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
Even also I'm on some like you stole my shit.
I'm haunting every motherfucker in here.
Speaker 4 (50:42):
Yeah, especially when you know you it's supposed to be. Yeah, Yeah,
it's there is no.
Speaker 3 (50:55):
Honor, a reverence to what a lot of us true,
where a lot of us truly come from.
Speaker 6 (51:01):
Yeah, yeah, a.
Speaker 3 (51:04):
Lot of the same Egyptian y'all.
Speaker 6 (51:06):
So most of us are not Egyptians.
Speaker 4 (51:10):
Native American, but we will.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
I told you, I was told all my life did that?
Speaker 6 (51:21):
No, nigga, you have a blackfoot like like please? Yes, yes,
you played by a creek like you like, stop they
have lied to you. All y'all are descendants and listen,
and it's okay, look at me, Look at me. I'm
not speaking from a pedestal.
Speaker 4 (51:43):
Yeah, it's a problem with colonialism and stuff like. It's internal,
you know, white supremacy. We don't you gotta hit yourself
to lie and say you gotta you got a native.
Speaker 6 (51:52):
You know what's that meme? I saw? It was racially
it was oh god, hold on, it was a damn
it'll come back to me. It'll come back to me.
I lost it that quickly. But yeah, a lot of
we're just we just a lot of people just not
(52:14):
Oh yeah, that's what it was where they said, you know,
likes can people be the most militant because they're the
largest examples of of the hate.
Speaker 3 (52:23):
And yeah, so I'm not touching that one.
Speaker 6 (52:31):
I mean, are we I'm not.
Speaker 4 (52:33):
You'll know I'm not saying I'm but I'm not not
saying either, you know what, It's all I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (52:39):
That's all I'm saying this epised gay.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (52:46):
That don't get me back to WrestleMania funeral, because I've
been finding I've been so fascinated by the whole thing.
And I told you on the pre show that they
believe that lady is John b.
Speaker 6 (53:02):
Yeah, but wait, I need to Okay, I'm just gonna
have to google it, and.
Speaker 3 (53:11):
That's not what I was going to go with.
Speaker 4 (53:12):
So right after WrestleMania the final countdown, the members of
the organization that they're part of some email Sorry.
Speaker 6 (53:37):
I just saw.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
It, is the way.
Speaker 6 (53:49):
The funniest thing is the first comment I saw is
from somebody named Jane, and she goes, why they say it?
It's actually dropping a Ramsey. I keep thinking about it,
Leo say that.
Speaker 3 (54:13):
Name.
Speaker 6 (54:14):
Oh yeah, please please, please God, please, but go back.
I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (54:24):
So right after wrestl Badia Funeral, the people of the
organization that put you know that they're a part of
or whatever, which by the way, is like a Romanian
organization like Mama.
Speaker 3 (54:41):
Jean Benet is uh hm. I will say on the
clock app.
Speaker 4 (54:49):
I have been watching videos and the other side, the
maggots are starting to to open their eyes to certain things,
slowly but surely. But what's interesting, So right after the funeral,
niggas got an email asking for a donation.
Speaker 3 (55:10):
And so and so. That's when a couple of people
from that side were like.
Speaker 6 (55:17):
Hold up, they don't love you, like of you.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
They were like, nigga, we don't have money either, bitch,
like so, and aren't you grieving?
Speaker 4 (55:26):
Didn't we just see you right just right now, like
get out of the ring, like you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (55:32):
Like off the top rope.
Speaker 4 (55:33):
And all of a sudden, I got an email from
you saying like I can't believe I'm still grieving, but
five dollars, you know, will help.
Speaker 3 (55:41):
It's a little weird. And then she goes on and
then she goes over and takes over his show.
Speaker 4 (55:50):
And is like it's a new day, like good morning,
good morning, you know.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
Let's get up, let's get motivated, you know, like she is.
I mean, you know, I understand, you know, when you
get free, you know what I mean. But I also like,
this sounds a little weird.
Speaker 6 (56:14):
Maybe she anyway, I'm not I'm just you know, there
might be some scheme that Todd Okay, I'm just saying,
you know, y'all can draw your own with it. Were
speaking in code this episode, Morris Code.
Speaker 3 (56:50):
I told you I was watching.
Speaker 4 (56:53):
We Can End on this. I was watching Love and
Hip Hop. I told you watching through clips. I made
it to season three, and season three was when they
did a whole revamp of the cast, so they got
rid of Jimmy and Oh.
Speaker 3 (57:11):
I was so discussed.
Speaker 4 (57:12):
I threw up in my mouth yesterday because I got
to the episode where Christy proposed to Oh God and
then lost proposed did she buy him another ring? Because
he lost it? I was so disgusted. I was like,
turned this ship off. But AnyWho, this was.
Speaker 6 (57:34):
Oh wait, no I have to Oh I'm sorry, go ahead.
Speaker 4 (57:38):
Oh well, this is the season with Consequence and Joe
Budden and all them people. I forgot that Joe Budden,
I mean that Consequence had a white baby mom's named Jack. Yeah.
And I also forgot that she was racist because she
so she remembers. The story line was she was a
(58:01):
radio DJ moved out to New York because of Consequence
or whatever. She had a deal Ebro set up for
her and Rocky I forgot about Rocky too to have
a free show or to set up like a podcast situation. Situation,
they had an interview with Vado of all people.
Speaker 3 (58:21):
And then it went left. So then.
Speaker 4 (58:25):
Rocky and Jen the pe got into it, and Jen goes, whatever,
I'm white, I.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
Will be okay. But no, it was twenty.
Speaker 6 (58:43):
Twelve Westen still self hating them, so.
Speaker 4 (58:49):
And so then she goes, whatever, I'm white, so I'll
be okay. But which was funny because Rocky said a
couple of episodes, I'm looking for gin to wipe my wrongs,
and I was thinking, like, you know, I know we
call Mona the devil, like jokingly, but but no, there
(59:15):
was the wrong with Moda's production, Like you know what
I mean, Like Mona let a lot of shit go on.
Speaker 3 (59:22):
That we, as the people that's the problem, should not
have allowed.
Speaker 6 (59:26):
I mean there's a reason why, like we ain't got
no beef with that lady, but we watched her TV
for all those years. And that what that big white
man say, all life have to lock up this week.
He goes, that relationship is what you call toxic.
Speaker 3 (59:44):
I was in a toxic relationship. Won't not be.
Speaker 6 (59:47):
Entertained exactly, So like we know, again, we don't have
no beef with you, lady, but you know what you
put out there into this world, you know what it is. Okay,
I have to share a stuff. So I got a
couple more things to tell you before we go.
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:00:08):
So I go to this spot called Jack the Chipper,
Fish and chips, Okay, owned by British Cypress people, people
from Cypress, but they British, right, lovely, lovely individuals, all right.
So we were like, we have to eat one British thing,
(01:00:29):
I guess while we're here. So we'll eat fish and chips.
Because I didn't want no breakfast. I didn't want no
you know, I just wanted ethnic food. Yeah no, no, no,
I'm pulling all of that now. But I'll say I'll
eat some fish and chips. So they were lovely if
they were fascinated, you know, Americans and all of that.
(01:00:51):
Obviously had political questions. When I went and ordered the
sparkling water from the from the counter, both of the
guys behind that by the counter scream out water. I
was like, first of all, I didn't even say it
like that, Like why would y'all say that? Like that
they and they were like, say it again, water, that's
(01:01:18):
so nasty. And they were like say it like I
say it like us. And I was like, what do
you want me to say war? And they're like yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
I was.
Speaker 6 (01:01:27):
Like that, y'all just made a noise. That's just a noise.
So that was fun banter back and forth. But we
had a couple of interesting interactions in there. So first
before that that was that was hilarious. And then they
so they're asking a bunch of questions, We're engaged. It's
very friendly banter and conversation. You ever heard seeing Pop?
(01:01:51):
And I was like, ah, I was like, I was like,
funny enough, Yes I have. I said, one of my
very dearest friends is obsessed with wrestling, so I know
who seeing Punk is. So they showed me this picture,
see him Punk. They got a picture with them and
see him Punk in the restaurant, right, So they were
(01:02:11):
excited about that. I was excited to share that with you,
and I took a picture of the picture so that
I could show it to you. And then this white
man comes in with his seven year old child. This
man's about seventy years old, his child's seven, and very British,
so of course, and then you know, figured out very
(01:02:33):
quickly we were not and wanted to engage in conversation
because his child knew every state, capital and state of
the United States, and his child proceeded to list every
single state in capital in alphabetical order.
Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
Lots of newsual ez, I'm an Indian Indiana, I'm Columbus,
he's the capital of that's Montgomeralabyma south of Helena, Montana.
Then there's Denver Collar, I'm doing the boys yard, the
whole Texas has Alston. Then we go north.
Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
Does she know about slavery? Oh?
Speaker 6 (01:03:11):
Wait, okay, so oh the child would not do anything
outside of like the child was going to get through
this list. Okay, that was their agenda. They didn't care
what anybody was talking about around them. They continue to
list every capital estate alphabetical quarter while the father. So
(01:03:32):
the father's talking to us, and my good girlfriend Moe
moved to London three years ago, so she was with us,
showing us around and whatnot, and so she and him
are chatting. They live in the same neighborhood, you know,
and he's curious what brought her there all of those things.
So you're taking your friends around. Yeah, and he's like,
(01:03:54):
you know where You've got to take them. She's like
where and remembers me my homegirl, Erica and three black women.
You've got to take them to the Mayflower.
Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
Oh.
Speaker 6 (01:04:11):
That is literally how all three of us looked. How
you look right there? All of us looked at him,
and we was like, oh, oh my god, didn't say
anything right. Snigger says it again, You've got to take
them to the Mayflower. Mind you, his child, His child's
still over here listening these these capitals in these states.
Speaker 3 (01:04:34):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:04:35):
After he said it the second time, I looked at
him and I said, we have a real complicated history
with the Mayflower. You know what I'm saying. And he
stops and he looks confused for all of like five seconds,
and then you see his face transformed to the color
(01:04:59):
of your shirt right now, And as it turned, I
was like, you so you feel me?
Speaker 3 (01:05:08):
Right?
Speaker 6 (01:05:08):
You feel me? He was like, oh my god. That
answers so many things. And we were like, what he goes.
I had some new black friends. I told him the
same thing, and they never went I asked him back,
(01:05:31):
and they had an odd reaction, and I just never
oh and you can see him.
Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
He is.
Speaker 6 (01:05:36):
It is turmoil over here, Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:05:39):
He's having an internal like oh and he's just dying
inside megabite megabite.
Speaker 6 (01:05:46):
He was like, I learned something today, and I was like, good,
I'm glad you did. Don't recommend that shit to nobody else, Like,
I'm not going to see the fucking Mayflower. I was like,
I don't even go to Elisila. I don't even like
I don't need to. I don't, I don't. I'm cool.
I was like, I don't need to go see the
main flower. You feel me? You got it? And he
(01:06:08):
was like, I've got it, I've got it. That was
one of my most fun interactions of the entire trip
because watching that man turn into a tomato and real fucking.
Speaker 3 (01:06:24):
Time, I will I.
Speaker 6 (01:06:29):
Pay money if a genie gave me three wishes, one
of them would be and going back in time to
watch this nigga do that anytime I want to. That
was amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
It's like a few years ago when I was living
in New York Mark Mark would just walk down the
street just yeah, slavery.
Speaker 6 (01:06:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
And they did it too.
Speaker 6 (01:07:00):
I've been talking to them the same way. They got
their bag on a seat on the train or whatever.
I'd be like, move your bag. I don't even say,
I'm just like move, move that out of the way,
Like I don't even have the kindness anymore, the I
don't have the act right, like just get out of
my fucking way. Move. I don't have nothing for.
Speaker 4 (01:07:20):
For all racest too, because you're not white. I have
to stay that way too often in Los Angeles. U. Yeah,
remember yourself.
Speaker 6 (01:07:32):
Remember who you are. The ice be coming for all
of us, bitch, you remember that, all right, hellespo, you
just remember that at risk here so you stop acting
like you not. And then quickly I went to Brixton,
which I had to you know, another classic black neighborhood
(01:07:55):
shout out to pop specs Brixton. Okay, it is a
franchise eyeglass spot in Brixton Market. That that franchise is
owned by a black woman of Jamaican descent. So I
wanted to make sure that I shouted her out because
I got some fabulous glasses from her that I need
to go put my prescription in here. And she does
(01:08:16):
your prescription on spot too, So if you have it
with you and you go there, she can she can
literally do it with do it for you in like
a one hour photo situation, and it's really cute glasses.
So I wanted to make sure I shouted her out too.
I learned about the wind Rush, which I thought was
really cool, you know, because Brixton is so black they
(01:08:37):
have more murals and things like that. And the wind Rush,
you know, was the the what they call the large
immigration with you know, primarily Caribbean migrants coming to the UK,
and that's what they like renamed their train line. I
believe that goes down there and everything. So I thought
that was a cool little p you know. I like
to learn like a little black history everywhere I go.
(01:09:00):
Even if you know we all present differently or or
exist in society differently, it's very evident. Uh So I
thought that was really cool.
Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
I want to sit there and go fu everylie very
night con dream.
Speaker 4 (01:09:17):
Is you gone down with your big win Russia?
Speaker 6 (01:09:22):
I mean, why is all about me?
Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
Have to.
Speaker 6 (01:09:27):
We went to a Nigerian Brazilian owned restaurant called the Kara,
so I wanted to shout them out to It was
two it was two black girls birthdays in there, and
so when their friends started singing to them. You know,
we had to sweep in and we went that. We
went there with Memo Erica and then Collection. Shout out
(01:09:47):
to Collection, make sure you all follow her. She is
one of the best on political commentary. She's like multifaceted,
talented across the board, but her, her her mouthpiece is
a gift for us as a people, and she's just
she just fucking gets it and she knows how to
relate it. So shout out to Collecchi. Make sure you
(01:10:08):
all follow her. But we went to dinner with her,
and of course we had to break out Stevie Wonder's
Happy Birthday for both of the both parties, and they
were so happy for the I was like, nah, we like,
we're blacking here, Like we gonna sing this to you.
So we sang it to them. The owners came over
and they were like, are you all singers? We're like, no,
we're just black, Like we're just in community, that's all.
(01:10:32):
And I think that's the beautiful part of social media
because even though technically that is what we as Black Americans,
that's the tradition that we have instilled, it's also social
media has allowed it. You know, all of our people
across the lens to be able to participate in this.
So then it becomes this like giant, congregational, beautiful situation.
(01:10:55):
And that's what that turned into. So that was really
that was really really dope. And then the last thing
that I wanted to tell you was I know exactly
why they are the hub of the bubonic plague and
the cholera and smallpox and and all of that. Yeah,
because yuck, wife will come because they don't believe in
(01:11:16):
covering mouths, sneezes, sneezes, just be a reckless abandoned in
the air for feats across feets. They'd be coughing all
out in the air. They don't give a fuck. They
don't give a fuck about each other to be and
when I say that, you know I'm not talking about
the you know who I'm talking about. They don't give
a fuck about each other. And I was like, this
is how all that shit spread because by day three,
(01:11:39):
even with me doing all my protocols, had to scratch
your throat. And I was like, this is because y'all
are fucking disgusting. You see, I would have got smallpox
had this has been a different time. So that was
my trip to London. It was really lovely, Actually, it
was really really lovely.
Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
That's good. Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 4 (01:11:59):
I'm glad you had to get time ussuring in the
new decade.
Speaker 6 (01:12:04):
Yes, well traveled, Yes, yeah, going to see all things
all over the place. So we just wanted to catch
up with you all this week, and I share my
little bullet points from my trip with you all and
with x D because I hadn't talked to him.
Speaker 4 (01:12:22):
Yeah, it ain should happened with me. I I've just
been I've been at home. Yeah, I got a flu
shot and I had a.
Speaker 3 (01:12:36):
Oh well, I guess I could tell you this now.
So my doctor's a visit today.
Speaker 4 (01:12:42):
So I spend one hundred dollars for nothing my cope
for them to not do anything.
Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:12:52):
I knew that when we talked about the gen z
stare along time ago, that you know this, this, I
would come across this at some point in my life,
just outside of like fast food stuff. I never thought
(01:13:12):
it would come. It would happen in the doctor's office.
So I go in there, and I'm going there to
have a what I thought to have a very simple procedure.
Speaker 11 (01:13:27):
Oh yeah, I go in there and I'm like, okay,
So they make me wait a long periodically time like
so I'm like or whatever, like so long I'm in
the room in my private room that the lights turn off,
so novel.
Speaker 4 (01:13:46):
And the light wit turn it on. So I'm talking
to this lady. Now, this is not my regular doctor.
I have a doctor who is you know, I want
to say his wife is black because they were like
on his bio he was in he lived in Nigeria
for like eight years doing like medical work anyway, and he's.
Speaker 3 (01:14:11):
Hella gay for whatever reason. But he got away. But
I see this lady.
Speaker 4 (01:14:17):
It was it was fairly young, and I was like, okay,
you know whatever, I get it that I have to
accept the fact that I'm unk now right, So of
course there's naturally going to be doctors. Are people working
in high places that are younger than I I'm sure.
So this lady comes in. I'm going to switch protouns
(01:14:39):
in a second because she pissed me off. So you
know this, she comes in and she goes at first,
you know, do you mind if I record our things
are so I could be accurate my note taking and stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
And in my head I'm like, this is some AI
should but okay.
Speaker 4 (01:14:59):
So then I'm telling So she asked me what's wrong,
and I'm like, okay, I tell her.
Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
I give her full in depth.
Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
You know, I don't like repeating myself, so I overshare
and I explain things in thorough sh she didn't ask
me about but just in case the ship comes up,
you asked she also, so then.
Speaker 3 (01:15:23):
So I tell her this.
Speaker 4 (01:15:24):
She was not listening to me because she asked me
questions that I've already answered. So I'm already like becoming
slightly annoyed. So then it came from female doctor to
girl doctor. In my head, it's because it did because
(01:15:52):
I was irritated because I'm like, I'm telling you everything
was wrong with me. I'm even telling you my pain level.
I'm telling you all these things. And then you asked
me something irrelevant about my medications that I'm taking. I'm
like that, hey, I've answered that question already because you
asked me the question too. I put that on a
(01:16:14):
little pre survey thing whatever the fuck right, So and
I'm assuming now the medical care is so like regimented,
like she's like following protocol like step by steps, because
because then she's googling what I'm telling her, and I'm like,
(01:16:37):
you know, what's going on with me?
Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
There's nothing, there's nothing, no difficult If it was legal,
I would do it. If I had the means that I.
Speaker 6 (01:16:48):
Don't do it. Yeah, I don't feel like this feels
like a like a cut and dry situation literally.
Speaker 4 (01:16:56):
So then I'm like, so, after I'm explaining this, she
was like, okay, so what.
Speaker 3 (01:17:01):
Would you like me to do? Bitch?
Speaker 6 (01:17:04):
Oh no, so.
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
A part of me so I had to like not
answer in the xd way.
Speaker 4 (01:17:14):
You know, I swear I'm I'm I'm not an active
bitch until you prove myself to be so right, like,
don't piss me off. Otherwise I'm a very congenial, nice person,
right because I don't want to be Hey, I don't
want to disrespect people, and like, I'm just not that person.
Speaker 6 (01:17:31):
Yeah you're nice. I don't know. Yeah, I'll give you that.
Speaker 4 (01:17:38):
But when she said that, Jade, when I tell you,
I internally this shirt I had on, I was like
I So, I was like, why am I here? Because
I was trying to be nice. However, me came out
(01:17:58):
and I was like, why.
Speaker 6 (01:17:59):
Would I pay for this particular pursuit? How about that like, yeah, yeah,
that's what I said, didn't what.
Speaker 3 (01:18:08):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:18:09):
So then she splays to me that they don't do
that here at this particular location. And I was like, well, hey,
why didn't you just stop me beforehand, before all of
this two that's a wild asked question to say, well.
Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
What do you want me to do? And I was like,
I rolled my eyes. She was like, you know, is
there anything else I could do for you today?
Speaker 6 (01:18:37):
And I was like, no, no, because you've done nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:18:42):
Because and I said that, I said, because you've done nothing,
and you've proven yourself to be quite ineptent and effective, I.
Speaker 1 (01:18:49):
Think you may have jumped the gun a little wheel diagnosis.
Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
You disagree, but yes, so do you agree? We need
to rule it out?
Speaker 6 (01:19:02):
Oh well, asking me what I want to do in
this situation is absolutely crazy.
Speaker 10 (01:19:10):
Please shut up, Please shut your both was she was?
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
She? No? She she was no, she was of she
was brown.
Speaker 4 (01:19:35):
And what pissed me off the most was when she
when she said that she gave me that stupid ging
z stare And I was like, oh, that's.
Speaker 6 (01:19:47):
Like me going to the gun of collogists and being
like and then being like, so, what do you want
us to do cut my kuchio, bitch, I don't know
what the like, what are you fucking asking what you want? Nigga,
I don't a metal hangar and a bottle of vodka
with cring So why are you asking me this question?
Speaker 3 (01:20:10):
You know you know why I'm here. You know the vibes.
Speaker 6 (01:20:14):
Dog.
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
I was so irritated.
Speaker 6 (01:20:19):
Did you write a review?
Speaker 3 (01:20:22):
I don't know how to do that for Kaiser? But
now I'm gonna.
Speaker 6 (01:20:26):
Better get on the Google and find no, find her name,
get on zok doc like no, no, yeah, you can
rate this Google zac doc everything, like alert the masses
before they go spin their co.
Speaker 4 (01:20:41):
I should have known because the nurse beforehanda She was like,
have you ever met with doctor so and so before?
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
And I was like no, and she giggled. She was like,
I don't like that.
Speaker 6 (01:20:52):
I don't like that though, don't set me up for
the ok either.
Speaker 4 (01:20:55):
But see I was I was unprepared. I didn't I
thought she was just being you know, some people just
have a natural So.
Speaker 6 (01:21:03):
That's like when I worked for Terrence Fontaine and I
found out that people was taking bets out on me
on the first day, not because of me, but because
of him. Like, don't do that? Warn me like, yeah, yes,
give me options, Nigga, I don't like that.
Speaker 3 (01:21:21):
Let me know before the vote.
Speaker 6 (01:21:23):
I'm telling me, well, I pray that you find a resolve.
Me too, I pray that you find a resolve to take.
Speaker 3 (01:21:30):
My leg.
Speaker 6 (01:21:34):
Unless you want him to, because clearly it's your choice.
Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
It's my world, Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:21:39):
Your body, it's your choice.
Speaker 3 (01:21:41):
What do you want me to do?
Speaker 6 (01:21:43):
Do not give me autonomy in that way? Like, what
are you doing right?
Speaker 3 (01:21:48):
Well?
Speaker 6 (01:21:48):
Next week, guys, we are back with a playlist, So
get your little booty wiggles ready and all of that
because we're going to have a good time and make
sure you check out the patreon we got life after
lock Up reviews. I want to say this coming week
is the Latin is the female?
Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
I have something. I have something promote, but it comes
with the story.
Speaker 6 (01:22:09):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
One of my clients, one of my clients, Christian.
Speaker 4 (01:22:15):
She is a registered nurse and all around great person
and she has a podcasts called Phillippian Files where she
documents that her journey through IVF, her personal journey and
assisting other women or birthing peoples through their IVF journeys.
(01:22:35):
She also talks about all things women for all womenkind
and that includes however you identify as however you identify
as women, so all things healthcare right, making sure tubes
are where they need to be, and what vitamins and
things you need to make sure your tubes and parts
maintain that you know they're optimal, functional things or whatever.
(01:22:58):
But here's a story. So this past week the episode
was about a lesbian couple and their IVY journey.
Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
I we need to have a like.
Speaker 4 (01:23:12):
Revisit study appreciation day because lesbians have lore. And let
me tell you something. So in the interview, Christian's talking
to this black lesbian couple. Black obviously, and so the
so they have several children. However, what was interesting is
(01:23:36):
that let's say person A, let's call her Samantha.
Speaker 3 (01:23:44):
In person B, let's call her June.
Speaker 4 (01:23:51):
Okay, Samantha was on a journey already to get you know,
on her IVF journey. She was like, I want to
do this on my own, you know, because she was
having she was having women complications and so a doctor
was like either now or never. Girl, So she was like, well,
I want to be a mother. Right in the midst
(01:24:13):
of all this, like in the thick of the IVF journey,
she met June and she told June, listen one monkey,
don't stop, no show.
Speaker 3 (01:24:25):
So are you with me or you ate?
Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
When I tell you she sticks, she's she was down.
Remember when I told you men are either men are
the most bride or people. Yes, when I tell you,
June stayed. They have hellic kids. June didn't even want children.
They got like four now, and I was like, that's
crazy for.
Speaker 6 (01:24:48):
You know you seetionship. You know what their theme? Mine
should be their world signs should be John b in
Tupac's song. That needs to be their theme. So they're
always they're still down. They're still down down, Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:25:05):
Yeah, and mind you.
Speaker 4 (01:25:06):
June after two weeks was like, well, I'm in it.
We've been together. They got teenagers and wants about to.
Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
Go to college. Like, but it's so interesting the fact that,
like the fact that women are way more down.
Speaker 6 (01:25:24):
Effective.
Speaker 4 (01:25:26):
Yes, but they have such an interesting love story and journey.
So go check them out.
Speaker 6 (01:25:35):
Hurt one soon.
Speaker 4 (01:25:37):
Yes, yes, Christia will be here. I'll put out a
post because we're going to have a health chat. Finally,
after a decade of say we're going to do.
Speaker 6 (01:25:45):
It, saying reckless things. Yes, yes, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:25:50):
So if you have questions about your parts and other things,
are how to prevent certain things, especially since you know
health health secretary scrotum. You know it's changing things. You know,
we need to know how to move effectively as black people.
Speaker 3 (01:26:10):
But that's all I got.
