Speaker 1 (00:00):
The weekends upon us, and you're thinking to yourself, it's
time for me to go ahead and go on a
movie date with my significant other whatever. But you don't
know what's in theaters and definitely don't know what's good.
That's why we talked to Jason at the movies. Jason,
what's new in theaters this weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Probably the latest? Jason states, the movie A working Man.
This guy, he's really carved out a niche here for these,
just like old school ridiculous action movies, which you know, hey,
let's be real. I love so In A working Man,
Jason Statum now is a former military black ops and
now is working construction. The boss's daughter gets taken by

(00:39):
human traffickers, but guess who's going to take her back?
The working Man. That's right, it's ridiculous. It's over the top,
but what can I say? I loved it. It's got
kind of middling reviews, but hey, I had.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
A good time The working Man in theaters now? So
what else is in theaters this weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Also? Death of a Unicorn. Big stars in this, Paul Rudd,
Jenni Ortega, you feel like has a little bit more buzz.
Not getting great reviews, but the premise is kind of funny.
They end up hitting and killing a unicorn, and of
course a billionaire comes in and goes, well, wait a minute,
I think that we could probably make some money off
of this. And then it's off and running. Like I said,

(01:15):
sort of middling, not great reviews, but you know, a
decent cast.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
It's kind of like the rich eating the Mermaids right now.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I mean, listen, I think it's the rich figuring out
how they can make even more money than they already say.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
You said, there's one more you've gotten theaters today, and
then that's it for the weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Yeah, following up one more movie here? Gosh, I feel
like we get a new horror movie almost every week,
but they make money. So this is the Woman in
the Yard. This is about a lady that was in
a car accident and killed her family. Terrible. She's crippled
with grief, and all of a sudden, this woman dressed
in black, just sitting in her front yard keeps showing

(01:53):
up over and over again, and she's going, what is
going on here? And then of course it turns out
that you know, there's more and more nefarious things going on,
not getting great reviews. But like I said, a lot
of horror movies make money, they have smaller budgets. So
we've got three movies this weekend that are sevarying degrees
of reviews, but overall, you know a few things to see.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Jason at the Movies goes to the movies. He's been
in the movies and he's got your reviews every week.
You can hear on his podcast on my page right now.
And we will see at the Movies next week.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Jason, Oh hey, my pleasure.
