Speaker 1 (00:00):
Every week Jason at the Movies goes to the movies,
so you don't have to unless you want to spend
your heart on money on something you don't like. So Jason,
welcome to the show and your podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
What is new in theaters this weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Man, all right, well, we've got I guess it's a
pretty big sequel. It's a follow up to the movie
The Accountant, which actually was pretty good Ben Affleck movie
where he plays a neurodivergent character. But it's been a
little while. I don't know how much people are talking
about to follow up this movie, but The Accountant two

(00:34):
comes out this weekend. The fun part about this is
there's Joe Bernshal plays Ben afflex brother and it's so hey.
I mean, you know who's going to complain about Affleck
and Burnsall? And the truth is, I guess no one.
Because the reviews are really good. The critics are giving it,
you know, in the seventy somewhere, but the popcorn meter,
that's the audience, they're giving it over ninety percent.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Wow. So it's going to be a huge movie this weekend.
So no one's going to beat it.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Now, No I don't know if it's going to be
able to beat Sinners. There's a really big momentum happening
for that movie, which is awesome and you should go see.
But if anything takes centers off the top, it probably
would be the account to see.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Jason's got You covered. Anything you're thinking about seeing in
the movies this weekend, you can always check out here
on the iHeartRadio app with Jason at the Movie's podcast,
or you can check it out on my page as well.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
All Right, you got it.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
