Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jason at the movies, goes to the movies. He's been
in the movie, so theaters this weekend, there's one of
my kids totally ready for and I think being that
you have kids too, The Minecraft movie is out this weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Yeah, that's the big release this weekend, and it's really
the one that Hollywood is counting on, so they are
hoping that there are plenty of kids like yours that
want to go see it because the box office is down.
This is of course based on the video game starting
Jack Black, Jason Momoa, and others, so it's got power.
It has a huge following just in terms of kids

(00:35):
that play with the video game. The reviews are not great.
I've seen it. It's you know, it's kind of silly.
But I'm probably not the audience for it. So it's
still could have a pretty big weekend. I don't know
that it's going to be one of those that's going
to make a billion dollars, but I think best case
scenario for them, they have a good weekend and this
is maybe a new franchise that they could make money

(00:56):
on for years to come.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
So at least stop i'm McDonald's and get the fun
toys for the movie a Minecraft movie, right.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Hey, one of six collectible toys, that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah, what else is in theaters this weekend? Jason?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Also, we've got Freaky Tails. Another good cast here, Pedro
petscal which kind of feels like even everything. Now, So
this takes place in nineteen eighty seven Oakland, California. You've
got an NBA star, you got a cop, you got
a female rap dueo, You've got some other storylines that
are happening individually. Then they all meet up and have

(01:29):
some Freaky Tails. Now, this one is getting some pretty
good reviews, and so it looks like it's one of
those that's kind of fun. You know, we all like
a late eighties type movie with some freaky tales happening.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
And two shorts in that movie too, right though, Rapper, Well.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
It is in Oakland, so I think they're absolutely required
to have too short if anything takes place in Oakland.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
And there's one more here to theaters this weekend, which is.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
The Friends. So this is Bill Murray and Naomi wats
another one big stars Bill Murray and Naomi wants to
play friends. Bill Murray passed away and he leaves his
one hundred and fifty pounds, great dame to Naomi Wats's character,
and of course that leads to all sorts of crazy mishaps.
You know my rule on this, If there's any chance

(02:16):
that a dog could die, I don't go see it.
But it is getting really good reviews, so you know,
take that boy's worth.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
