Speaker 1 (00:00):
Every weekend we find out what's going on in the
movies with Jason at the movies, who's been in movies?
And this weekend's no different. We've got an animated and
a scary one this weekend. Jason.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Yeah, I guess some pretty good I don't know, counter programming.
We'll start off with L EO, the new Pixar movie.
This is about a kid that really just doesn't fit in.
He is desperate to get abducted by aliens, and then
it actually happens, and they mistake him for an ambassador
of Earth. They think he's the leader, and then of course,
you know wackiness. I guess and sues. I saw the
(00:33):
movie at not great. It's actually getting pretty good reviews.
I'm surprised. I thought it was not memorable at all.
I've seen some people say, oh, it's second tier Pixar.
It's like third or fourth tier Pixtar. To me, I
didn't think it was very funny. I really just didn't
enjoy it at all.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
So it'll probably be one of those ones we skip
and wait for it to come to a streaming service
or something like that.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, I mean, if it is Disney Plus and nothing
else going on. I'm sure the kids would like it
and just fire it up, but otherwise it's just not
that great.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Now. The one I hear a lot of people talking
about this weekend. A buddy of mine went to go
see it too, was twenty eight years later. It's like
the third in this horror series.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Right, yeah, so we had twenty eight days later, twenty
eight weeks later. Now we have twenty eight years later.
And this is a pretty popular franchise, but this one
comes pretty far after the second installment. Danny Boyle's back,
who directed the original. This is about the the I
whan they say they're not zombies but they're essentially zombies
is an outbreak, and so this one is, of course
(01:33):
twenty eight years after the initial outbreak. Reviews are off
the charts. People are loving it. People love Danny Boyle.
People love this franchise, and apparently your friend loves it too.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
So you can either be afraid of you know, what's
happening in the theaters, or afraid of wasting your money
with Elio this weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I guess, right, yeah, yeah, don't be afraid, but yes,
those are some options, I guess. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
So we check this out every weekend. You can always
get them on the iHeartRadio app. You want to find
out what's going on in theaters, streaming whatever. We talked
to Jason at the Movies
