Speaker 1 (00:00):
James goes to the movies every single weekend, sits his
time on the couch and hangs out to tell you
what you should see in theaters and what you should
stay away from. So I know, we got a lot
of new stuff this weekend. Jason, what's coming out?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, we should probably start off with talking about Netflix
movie today, Jay Kelly. This is starring Adam Sandler and
George Clooney. And actually the Critics Choice Award nominations came
out this weekend and this is nominated for a couple
of awards, so that's good news. This is where George
Queen plays an actor named j Kelly. He's going to
(00:34):
get this big award over in Tuscany, and so Sandler
plays his manager and it's kind of their adventure through
Europe to get to the award. It is good. I
liked it. I didn't love it as much as I
really wanted to. But if you like Clooney, you're really
going to like this. And it does get good reviews,
and like I said, it's already getting up for some awards.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Well that's awesome. What about the Hamlet Hamnett whatever it
is remake or something that's coming out this Weekend.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, yes's not quite a remake. So it's it's historical
fiction based on a book and it's about the inspiration
for the play Hamlet. I don't want to give really
anything away. It's not like there's a bunch of twists.
It's just you don't really want to know certain things
going into it. But I'll tell you it's a little long.
(01:19):
It is up for Best Picture, Jesse Buckley's for Best Actress,
and I was kind of a little bit like, okay,
let's get this thing moving. But oh boy, the last
fifteen minutes is really one of the best things that's
been in movies this year. Really, yeah, it's really incredible.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Well, so you're not going to give anything away, Well,
what about Fackham Hall.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah, you gotta say it, hey, be careful how you
say it? Slow? Yep, yep. So this is a British comedy.
Think of it like Naked Gun takes on the Royal Family.
It's just joke, joke, joke, joke, joke, background as a joke.
I actually think you would like this, but I also
think that it would play really well in England. So
(02:07):
I don't know if it's going to be a big
box office hit. But it really was pretty funny. I
had a good time with it.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yeah, it probably end up being one of those cult
classics like Five Nights at Freddy's two that's coming out
this weekend too.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Well. Yeah, but you know, the first Five Nights at
Freddy's was a huge hit. They got this second one
out pretty quickly. The reviews of it are terrible, but
that's not really something that affects a movie.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Like this, No, not at all. So we do this
every weekend with Jason at the movies. He goes to
the theaters, watch the streamings. He's been in TV shows,
he's been in movies, and he goes to the award shows.
So you can find out what you suspend your money
on or stay away from into theaters or streaming.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Right, you got it.
