Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back, Swifties and Kelsey enthusiasts. After a summer hiatus
that felt longer than Taylor Swift's era's tour setlist. We're
diving head first back into the wonderful world of Travis
and Taylor. But hold on to your chief's jerseys, folks,
because today we're putting the spotlight on the other half
of the dynamic Kelsey duo, the one, the only Jason Kelsey.

(00:25):
Now you might be wondering why Jason, Well, let me
tell you. This man has been absolutely crushing it lately
and we're here for it. So grab your favorite snack.
Might we suggest a Philly cheese steak, Settle in, and
let's dive into the Jason Kelsey extravaganza. First things first,

(00:46):
let's talk about the elephant in the room, or should
we say the horse and the stable. That's right, folks,
Jason's little brother Travis has gone and bought himself a
stake in a race horse. But this isn't just any
old horse. Oh No, this is a horse with a
name that's got Swifties everywhere squealing with delight. Ladies and gentlemen,

(01:06):
meet swift delivery. Now, Jason, being the supportive big brother
he is couldn't help but chime in on this equine investment.
Taking to X formerly Twitter, Jason quipped, but does it
have an enlarged heart? Can this horse do it with
a broken heart? At kelche Oh, Jason, you sly dog.

(01:31):
For those of you who might have missed it, that's
a clever nod to Tailor's Swift's song I Can Do
It with a Broken Heart from her latest album, The
Tortured Poet's Department. We see what you did there, Jason,
and we love it. But let's not get too carried
away with Travis and his new four legged friend. This

(01:51):
is Jason's time to shine, and shine he does. Our
favorite former Philadelphia Eagle has been making waves in the world,
and we're here to spill all the tea. First up,
let's talk about the big news that's got everyone buzzing.
Jason and Travis have just inked a deal with Amazon's
Wondery for their podcast New Heights, and let me tell you,

(02:15):
it's no small potatoes. We're talking a three year deal
reportedly worth a cool one hundred million dollars. That's right, folks,
nine zeros. It seems the Kelsey brothers have the Midas touch,
both on and off the field. During ESPN's media day,
Jason spilled the beans on what he thinks makes their
podcast so darn irresistible. In his words, I think on

(02:40):
the podcast you get, first of all, an organic, loving
relationship between two brothers. We're honest with each other and
it comes across. Ah, Jason, You're making us feel all
warm and fuzzy inside. He went on to add, and
we have good personalities that I think generally the audience

(03:00):
members appreciate and like to want to watch and listen to,
which I don't know if I agree fully with that,
but they're there. Oh, Jason, always so humble. But let's
be real, we all know that the Kelsey charm is
a big part of what keeps us coming back for more.
Jason continued, I think that we're very very open people

(03:22):
by nature, and I think that we share things and
we obviously are living exciting lives that people want to follow.
And then all that stuff helps because the more people watch,
the more money advertisers spend. Well, there you have it, folks.
The secret sauce to podcasts success straight from the horse's mouth,

(03:44):
and no, we're not talking about swift delivery this time.
But wait, there's more. Jason isn't just content with conquering
the podcast world. Oh No, He's set his sights on
the small screen too. That's right, our favorite former center
is joining the ESPN team as an analyst for Monday
Night Countdown Talk about a Touchdown. During the same media day,

(04:07):
Jason shared his game plan for his new gig, and
it's pure Kelsey Gold. I think that I'm going to
try and carry that same level of authenticity I've had
in my podcast, really my whole life throughout being a player,
he said. I think that people appreciate that they can
tell when you're trying to sell them a used car

(04:28):
or not. And I think for me, that's my biggest
thing that I think will help me have success, as
well as putting the work in and preparing. And if
you're wondering what Jason's better half thinks about his new
career move, well, Kylie Kelsey has got nothing but faith
in her man. She told people. I jokingly say it's

(04:49):
a pain in the butt that he's good at everything,
And I know I'm biased in that, but I truly
believe he's good at everything because even if he's not
good at the start or the best at the start. Now,
that's what we call a supportive spouse. But let's rewind
a bit and talk about how Jason got here. Remember
when he hosted Saturday Night Live. Well, it turns out

(05:13):
our man Jason was there to witness his little bro
Travis's hosting debut, and he's got some juicy behind the
scenes info for us. During the season three premiere of
New Heights, which featured none other than comedy legend Adam Sandler.
More on that later, Jason spilled the tea on Travis's

(05:33):
pre show Jitters. You should have seen him in the
first rehearsal. Jason said, I was there the day before
watching him get ready, and he comes out that door
and he starts choking up, and I'm like, there's nobody here,
This ain't live, Like, what are we choking up for?
And he was saying, like, standing behind that door, seeing

(05:54):
the signatures all of that, it fully hit him and
it's just such a moment. Ah, Travis, you big softy,
But don't worry, folks. Travis owned up to his emotional moment, saying,
when I'm in on something, I'm so fucking in on
it and it just took it over. Man, it just
took me over. We love a man who's not afraid

(06:17):
to show his feelings. Now, let's circle back to that
season three premiere because it was a doozy. The Kelsey
Brothers kicked off their new season with none other than
Adam Sandler, and let me tell you, it was comedy gold.
But what really caught our attention was when the conversation
turned to a certain pop superstar we all know and love.

(06:41):
That's right, folks, Taylor Swift's name came up, and Sandler
couldn't help but gush about her. He talked about attending
the Taylor Swift The Airastour movie premiere and how much
Swift means to his family, especially his daughters. She just
floores My family floores them, Sandler exclaimed, adding that he
gets nervous around Swift because he doesn't want to blow

(07:03):
it with his daughters. And how did Travis respond to
all this Swift praise? Like the supportive boyfriend he is.
Of course, you know it, you know it, best performer
out here, Travis said, ah, you guys, But wait, there's more.
Sandler went on to reveal that his daughters freaked out
when they learned that Travis was dating Taylor. My god

(07:26):
was my family like, yes, look how good they are together.
He's a gentleman and she's having so much fun with it.
Sandler shared, any time Taylor's laughing with you, my whole
fuckin family's like high fiving. Now we can't talk about
the Kelsey brothers without mentioning their comedic chops, and boy

(07:46):
did they deliver. In a hilarious video posted on their
social media, Travis and Jason recreated a scene from the
classic comedy Happy Gilmore. Travis channeled his inner Adam Sandler,
complete with the famous run and hit golf technique, while

(08:07):
Jason's head was hilariously superimposed onto another character from the movie.
But this wasn't just for laughs, although it definitely had
us in stitches. It turns out Travis is set to
make a cameo in the upcoming Happy Gilmore two. Sandler
himself confirmed the news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,

(08:30):
and discussed it further on The New Heights podcast. We
were talking about you playing my son while we were
writing it, literally like six months ago, Sandler revealed. We
were like, imagine if Travis was my first baby, how
funny that would be? Travis. Ever, the enthusiast responded that

(08:52):
he believes he's got the swing down. We can't wait
to see Travis on the big screen. But let's not
forget about Jason's own foray into the entertainment world. As
he prepares for his broadcasting debut on ESPN's Monday Night
Countdown on September ninth, Jason is determined to bring the
same authenticity that's made New Heights such a hit. How

(09:15):
I'm going to try and take that to ESPN is
I'm going to continue to try and be authentic with myself,
Jason said at ESPN's Bristol campus. Everybody I've talked to said,
be yourself. Let your personality show be authentic and honest.
People appreciate that, And in true Jason fashion, he couldn't

(09:35):
resist cracking a joke about his new gig. I'm just
trying not to end up like Pat McAfee and Dublin,
he equipped, referencing the former NFL punter's Guinness fueled show
in the Irish capital ahead of College game Day last week. Oh, Jason,
always keeping it real, But don't worry Eagles fans, Jason
hasn't forgotten his roots. He's looking forward to returning to

(09:58):
Philadelphia for the Eagles match up up against the Atlanta
Falcons on September sixteenth. It's going to be wild, it's
going to be fun to be back there. Week two,
he said, I was in Philadelphia for thirteen years and
the community is where my wife and I live. We
want to keep living in Philadelphia, so it'll be a
very fun experience to be out there. Now, let's dive

(10:22):
deeper into Jason's recent adventures. Shall we remember when he
and Kylie attended the twenty twenty four Paris Olympics. Well,
it turns out our man Jason had a bit of
a doubt about the goat herself, Simone Biles. Can you
believe it? Jason confessed on the New Heights podcast that
he wasn't sure how Biles, at twenty seven, would perform

(10:45):
compared to the younger gymnasts. We watched, like every team
USA Gymnastics girl go and do the floor routine, and
Simone Biles was the last person, and I'm like, you know,
she's getting older, she's a little bit. We'll see how
she looks. He admitted, but oh boy, did Simone prove
him wrong. Jason quickly changed his tune, saying, she is

(11:10):
the anomaly because she jumped higher than everybody and it
wasn't even close. Like you watch all these people do
the floor routine, then it's Simon's at the end, and
within the first three seconds you're like, oh, that's different,
that's right. Jason never doubt the goat. And speaking of

(11:30):
the Olympics, Jason had the most hilarious story about Kylie
and none other than Michael Phelps. Picture this. They're sitting
in the arena watching the women's gymnastics final when Kylie
spots a baby. But here's the kicker. She fails to
mention who's holding the baby. Jason turns around and bam,

(11:54):
it's Michael Phelps with his child. Jason's reaction priceless. I'm like, Kylie,
if you see Michael Phelps, you don't say someone is
holding the baby. What are we talking about right now?
He recounted, you lead with Michael Phelps. Oh, Kylie, we
love your priorities. Now let's talk about Jason's new role

(12:15):
at ESPN. Our man isn't just dipping his toes into broadcasting.
He's diving in head first. Jason has signed a multi
year contract with ESPN, which will see him appear pre game,
on Monday Night Countdown, and at halftime. But that's not all, folks.
He'll also be part of ESPN and ABC's coverage of

(12:37):
Super Bowl X in twenty twenty seven. Talk about a touchdown,
Jason's approach to his new gig pure, Kelsey. Of course,
I'm going to try and carry that same level of
authenticity I've had in my podcast, really my whole life
throughout being a player, he said. And we wouldn't want
it any other way, Jason. But let's not forget about

(12:59):
the elephant in the room, or should we say, the
potential swift in the podcast. When the New Heights account
teased a guest appearance for their season premiere, fans went wild,
speculating that it might be Taylor Swift herself. While it
turned out to be Adam Sandler, which, let's be honest,
is still pretty awesome. We can't help but wonder if

(13:21):
we'll ever see Taylor Grace the New Heights studio. Only
time will tell. And speaking of Taylor, let's not forget
the impact she's had on the NFL world. Patrick Mahomes,
Travis's teammate and friend, had nothing but praise for the
pop superstar. During an interview with Chris Simms for NFL

(13:42):
on NBC, Mahomes said, meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and
cool she is, that's been special to me because, like
you said, she's the most famous person in the world.
But here's the real kicker. Mahomes revealed that Taylor's not
just a passive observer of the game. Oh No, She's

(14:03):
getting in on the action. She's really interested in football.
She asks a lot of great questions. She's already drawing
up plays, so we might have to put one in.
Mahomes shared, Taylor Swift designing plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Now,
that's something we'd love to see. As we wrap up
this Jason Kelcey extravaganza, we can't help but marvel at

(14:24):
how far both Kelsey brothers have come from NFL stars
to podcast sensations to budding actors and broadcasters. These two
seem to have the Midas touch, and with Jason leading
the charge into the world of sports broadcasting, we have
a feeling the best is yet to come. But Let's

(14:47):
not forget about the incredible journey that led Jason to
this point. After a decorated thirteen year career with the Eagles,
Jason hung up his cleats in March, but retire vironment
that's not in Jason Kelsey's vocabulary. Instead, he's embarking on
a new adventure, bringing his unique blend of football knowledge

(15:10):
and Kelsey charm to the broadcasting world. And let's be real,
who wouldn't want to see more of Jason Kelsey on
their screens. This is the man who, during the Eagle
Super Bowl victory parade in twenty eighteen, gave one of
the most memorable speeches in sports history while dressed as
a mummer. If that doesn't scream born entertainer, we don't

(15:32):
know what does. As Jason steps into this new chapter,
he's not just bringing his football expertise, He's bringing the
full Kelsey experience. That means authenticity, humor, and probably a
few brotherly jabs at Travis, and we for one can't
wait to see it all unfold. So what's next for

(15:54):
Jason Kelsey? Well, if his track record is anything to
go by, the guys the limit will we see him
hosting his own show, making cameos in Hollywood blockbusters, starting
a boy band with Travis. Okay, maybe that last one
is just wishful thinking on our part. One thing's for sure,

(16:15):
wherever Jason's journey takes him, we'll be right there cheering
him on from the sidelines. Because in the world of
the Kelsey Brothers, you never know what's going to happen next,
and that, dear readers, is why we love them so much.
So until next time, keep your eyes on the field,
