I was just about to phone you, Juliet Joe and a new clients.

a thing like that, And callme tomorrow, Jeffrey, yeah, I

Well, with that four hundred buckstaken away, we're only sixty six

get out of my dream. It'sa nightmare, lion, only you're

in Englewoo like I figured nobody home. Tracks in the sand down on the
beach hadn't helped much either. Ijust had one thing to go on.

street lights, part up part.I unclipped my shoulder holsters. I walked
up the dock. My unloaded gunmight back up a bluff. All right,
holies, voice out of the building, shadow and still no moves.

Oh are you? Who are you? Private detect two credentials identials straight your
looks? Oh well that sounds fair. Over there under the light. There
you go, Here you go,Rigan, private investigator, Beckett's private investigator.

Yeah yeah, working tonight. Yeahyou yeah, dot detail. Keep
an eye and stuff for some warehouseso much big ship is fat guys,
will you work for? I workedfor a fat guy. That's the way

Great East warehouse around here somewhere exitup there you go up the stone steps,
turn into the Alley's a door inthe alley. Yeah, see your
peeper. I climbed the stone steps, turned into the alley, and then
I saw high up behind shut blinds, light burning in one window. The

door Beckett had told me about wasn'tlocked. Inside the warehouse, I burned
my fingers with paper matches finding thestairway that led up. After that,
it was easy. There was alight under a door on the fourth floor.
You could just make out the singleword painted on the door, Phelan.
As I opened the door, thedrapes swirl across the room. A

door slammed behind him. I wentin, Well, hello, Reagan,
Hello Phelan. Oh, yes,that's right, it's on the door.

that's right, one for Julia Jones. Well, maybe AD's that way.
She just went out an out ofthe door. You picked her up

the private investigator works for you.I suppose I should have figured that

Now you know the money was stolen. I didn't catch on at first,

to go to the police. Yeah, have a cup of tea. No
thanks, Okay, I understand darkand warehouse, waterfront docks, but I

leaves in the bottom of this cup. Yeah, well I read them.
You know. Now let's imagine thisis your faunt go on, well,
well, now here now this formin the tea leaves a coffin that means
look out for trouble. And hereshape of a crab. You've got an

I had the pieces of the puzzle, jagged jigsaw pieces failin a failin
Gray East, tea importer. He'dbeen robbed of sixty seven thousand dollars.
Was aout to recover the little himselfbecause he was scared to go to the
cops. My client, Juliet wasmixed up in it. That made sense.
She worked for Phelan as a teatester. She'd blossomed out all of
a sudden, and you closed fromhead to foot. She had a hundred
plam notes to pay private detectives.Then there was Adam Garth gunning for Juliet.

Juliette said, I hadn't met himyet, but I didn't have to
wait long. I let myself outof philin Great East Warehouse by the door
that opened on the alley. Thatwas when I got a big surprise,
not who but what she did.Jeff, Juliet, I knew you came
out this way. I've been waitingcome you beat it out of Phelan's office

upstairs just when I got there.Ale explain all that later. But now
there's something more important. The reasonI've been waiting here. I've been hoping
you'd get here in time to whathold me? And you are in time?
Not too early, not too late. Oh, Jeff Holm, are

and then I saw end of thealley, away from the docks, man
standing watching us. He couldn't makeout his face. But it's past your
feet apart. Right hand forward meantgun ready. I sucked back flat to
the wall across from Juliet. Sixberts of orange from the black silhouette.
Yeah, but mister Jellis didn't score. Instinct Anchor threw my right hand to

my uncliped shoulder. Hoster brought myguns already. Then I remembered my gun

Garth. You stole sixty seventh grandfrom Phalan? Yeah, yeah, yeah,

The air tube had stopped hissing.There were a couple of windows in the
outside wall of the tank come onfor customers by letting them glimpse the fish
and the diving bell down in thewater inside. Face appeared in one of

And when I got here, thatman Beckett was looking into the tank making

I found the operator of the tank, Hey Beckett had knocked him out.
Jeffrey. I revived him through waterin his face, you see, and
he and I managed to get airgoing to you and Juliet again. The

police were attracted by the disturbance,my boy, and they rounded up Backett,
and they've taken charge of Julia too. All this time I was as
cold as a man. Yes,yes, my boy, you were lion.
One thing, Yes, Jeffrey,how come you're sopping wet? Yeah,
it was nothing, my boy.I saw you in peril in that

diving Belle. My heart overflowed.I dove into shavell save me through the
steel wall of the diving bell.Geoffrey, I was going to tear those
steel walls apart with my bare hands. Lion, you were gonna do that

of Jeff Reagan work so well isFrank Nelson. He was such a great
comic actor, I mean motional timeradio actors could do comedy, don't get
me wrong, but he was probablybest known for his work with Jack Benny

but he can go really for abig comic reaction. When he asked
you, and I was cracking upat the end of that episode. The
mentions of tea at the beginning ofthe episode were interesting, and I think

And I'm a huge green tea drinker, and I kind of feel like
I should get green tea whenever Ihave a chance to get tea. But

tea tester even smelled of tea frombeing around it so much. Jeffrey,

twenty five cent toll call and thirtycent or whatever it is, did she
say where she tested tea? Whereshe works? You mean I can't remember
a thing like that, And callme tomorrow, Jeffrey, yeah, I

get out of my dream. It'sa nightmare, lion, only you're

in Englewoo like I figured nobody home. Tracks in the sand down on the
beach hadn't helped much either. Ijust had one thing to go on.

street lights, part up part.I unclipped my shoulder holsters. I walked
up the dock. My unloaded gunmight back up a bluff. All right,
holies, voice out of the building, shadow and still no moves.

Oh are you? Who are you? Private detect two credentials identials straight your
looks? Oh well that sounds fair. Over there under the light. There
you go, Here you go,Rigan, private investigator, Beckett's private investigator.

Yeah yeah, working tonight. Yeahyou yeah, dot detail. Keep
an eye and stuff for some warehouseso much big ship is fat guys,
will you work for? I workedfor a fat guy. That's the way
it is in this world? Issmart? Wait for the fat Beckett Failing

Great East warehouse around here somewhere exitup there you go up the stone steps,
turn into the Alley's a door inthe alley. Yeah, see your
peeper. I climbed the stone steps, turned into the alley, and then
I saw high up behind shut blinds, light burning in one window. The
(14:58):
door Beckett had told me about wasn'tlocked. Inside the warehouse, I burned
my fingers with paper matches finding thestairway that led up. After that,
it was easy. There was alight under a door on the fourth floor.
You could just make out the singleword painted on the door, Phelan.
As I opened the door, thedrapes swirl across the room. A
(15:18):
door slammed behind him. I wentin, Well, hello, Reagan,
Hello Phelan. Oh, yes,that's right, it's on the door.
Sit down, Sit on, Regan. I was just thinking tea two cups,
(15:39):
that's right, one for Julia Jones. Well, maybe AD's that way.
She just went out an out ofthe door. You picked her up
the same time you slug me.You must have had a help her,
Beckett. Go on, Regan,tell me what else you know? Beckett,
the private investigator works for you.I suppose I should have figured that
man can't think of everything. Youhaven't thought of the sixty seven grand.

Now it's smart of your Reagan tosee it in that light. Three quarters
of an hour ago, you thoughtI was the one that stole your dough.
Now you know the money was stolen. I didn't catch on at first,
but you told me they're on thebeach. You asked me if I
was surprised the cops weren't getting thedough for you. The only way that
could make sense was that you actuallyhad been taken for dough. Gave me
the amount of yourself sixty seven grandonly Phelan, you told me something else.

Yes, yes, Vegan, Isaid, I had a reason not
to go to the police. Yeah, have a cup of tea. No
thanks, Okay, I understand darkand warehouse, waterfront docks, but I
don't think any harm. Yeah,I'll prove it. Look here the tea

leaves in the bottom of this cup. Yeah, well I read them.
You know. Now let's imagine thisis your faunt go on, well,
well, now here now this formin the tea leaves a coffin that means
look out for trouble. And hereshape of a crab. You've got an

enemy and a claw, Reagan,the enemy wants to kill you. See
anything else? A cock screw,which means don't be curious about why you
don't want to go to the cops. I guess you can find your way

I had the pieces of the puzzle, jagged jigsaw pieces failin a failin
Gray East, tea importer. He'dbeen robbed of sixty seven thousand dollars.
Was aout to recover the little himselfbecause he was scared to go to the
cops. My client, Juliet wasmixed up in it. That made sense.
She worked for Phelan as a teatester. She'd blossomed out all of
a sudden, and you closed fromhead to foot. She had a hundred
plam notes to pay private detectives.Then there was Adam Garth gunning for Juliet.
(18:17):
Juliette said, I hadn't met himyet, but I didn't have to
wait long. I let myself outof philin Great East Warehouse by the door
that opened on the alley. Thatwas when I got a big surprise,
not who but what she did.Jeff, Juliet, I knew you came
out this way. I've been waitingcome you beat it out of Phelan's office
(18:38):
upstairs just when I got there.Ale explain all that later. But now
there's something more important. The reasonI've been waiting here. I've been hoping
you'd get here in time to whathold me? And you are in time?
Not too early, not too late. Oh, Jeff Holm, are
you nut? Jeff? I've gota good reason, a good, good
reason. Jeff. You've got tohold me close to you and kissed me.

You are holy. I think thiswill do it nicely. I stand
back, Jeff, I said,stand back, lady. You've skipped your
rocker. Jeff. I've got toget back from I've got to get Jeff.
She hurled backwards, flatten herself againstthe far wall of the alley,

and then I saw end of thealley, away from the docks, man
standing watching us. He couldn't makeout his face. But it's past your
feet apart. Right hand forward meantgun ready. I sucked back flat to
the wall across from Juliet. Sixberts of orange from the black silhouette.
Yeah, but mister Jellis didn't score. Instinct Anchor threw my right hand to

my uncliped shoulder. Hoster brought myguns already. Then I remembered my gun
empty, reading why don't you snowbullets? Baby, gun's not loaded?
Oh, you stinking dumb snap,you're dumb chalmouth. And I paid four
hundred bucks for this you did huhwhat do you? Oh? No,
Juliet, exactly what did you payfor one hundred bucks for it? Like

I decided to play it away fromthe docks instead of tord. I couldn't
go both ways, and the guywho fired the shots had disappeared in the
other direction. It didn't figure he'dbe hard to find. All I'd have
to do is make myself available andhe'd find me. Only I didn't expect
him to find me. So soon, walk straight ahead, don't look back,

and don't try nothing. Okay,Garth, Oh how come you know
me? Well? I was bornin the dark of the moon. Hey,

Reagan, private detective. Here ismy license. M oh looks okay,
Garth. You stole sixty seventh grandfrom Phalan? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I did. That's right, YeahI did. You seem pretty set
up about it. I stole sixtyseven thousand dollars from mister Phelan. I
don't know what come over me.I'm sorry I didn't and I am ready
to go to prison and pay thepenalty for my crime. Wait a minute,

I drove him to the police stationin Long Beach. I let him

outside wall of the tank come onfor customers by letting them glimpse the fish

like she's lovely, she's engaged,she eats soybeans, or if I knew

of these titles invoked parts of popularculture that we're known in nineteen forty nine

and fifty, but which we don'tnecessarily know what they're even referencing, And
as we've talked about, some ofthem can be pretty obscure. This one
actually seem plot related, like Idon't know if there's any reference in the
episode title of today's episode outside ofthe plot, And actually I still like

the title quite a bad. Ihad the idea that I might research where
all of the titles of this particularseries, what they related to in the
popular culture of the time, andwrite an article on it, but I
realized that would probably be interesting onlyto me. But at any rate,

what is this title for? Allright, And finally we have a comment
