Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jerry Katy and Josh one hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I was actually pretty heartbroken yesterday you were. I was
pretty tore up. Yeah, this is my childhood right here.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
News broke right after our meeting and you.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
I was bumming. I almost got out of our all
staff meeting.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
You did it.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I was like, you, guys, I can't, I can't even
I can't right now, but yeah. Hulk Hogan died yesterday
the age of seventy one. Medical personnel sent to his
home in Clearwater, Florida to treat cardiac arrest. It sounds
like they may have got him going a little bit,
loaded him up into an ambulance, and then ended up
passing away at a nearby hospital. I will say, yes,

(00:41):
I understand people's disdain for him a little bit later
in life. I want to acknowledge that we found out
some things about Hulk that were not very desirable.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
I get it, I understand it.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
But that being said, you can't deny that he is
one of the biggest American pop culture absolutely icon's personas
one of the biggest.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
And I always like to say when stuff like that,
you know, starts creeping out, it's like if we knew
the personal lives of our favorite celebrities, we probably wouldn't
like any of them.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Like, honestly, we've all got our things.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
We've all got our things.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Just made very very public.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Not condoning his behavior at all, but I'm just saying,
like everybody has something that someone doesn't like, so.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Correct and he had his issues.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Things came out that being said one of the biggest
stars in the history of professional wrestling slash sports, let's
call it sports, instrumental in making the multi billion dollar
wrestling industry as it is today.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
There's just no denying it.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
I mean, how long has it been since Hulk Hogan
was in the ring, And still when you say wrestling,
you think of Hulk.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Body slam and Andre the Giant brother brother.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Brother Taren is shirt off. He did like his band
like he is.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
An American pop culture icon no matter what.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
With wrestling every time you mention it.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
And I will say as being a young boy growing
up in the eighties essentially touch into the early nineties, uh, sleepovers,
hanging with friends, we were doing clothes lines and pile
drivers off the bunk beds, you know, landing on each other,
pretending to be Hull Cogan.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
I had you know friends that had the Whole Hogan
pillows and the.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Action figures and heck now, as a forty five year
old man, last Christmas, I.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Got a Whole Comania hoodie. Yeah, I mean just an
icon exactly. I will say, go ahead, cater the.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Wrestling buddies, That's what they were.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
They were, like, I want one, now, anyone has animal,
If anyone has a Whole Cogan wrestling buddy, I might
buy it off.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
My brother had all of them, like I remember those
vividly and Hull Hogan, like you had to have a
Hull Cogan wrestling buddy.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Yeah, So, I mean, just it. It really bummed me
out yesterday, it really did.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
And then my Instagram feed is now nothing but Hull
Cogan memories and memes.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
And clips from back in the day.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
So uh yeah, yeah, say what you will about him
and we get it. We understand later in life some
stuff came out, but uh, honestly, yeah, pop culture icon
sadly passed away yesterday. I've got something here for Josh.
This is more up Josh's Alley. Air Bud is returning.
A new air Bud movie called Airbud Returns, is hitting

(03:25):
theaters next summer.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, it's gonna be in theaters. They're not gonna throw
this right on.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
The streaming on uh making some money?

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Is that the same air bud that was in the originals? Hey,
by the way, that first airbud ever was a comment
from full House.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Did you know that.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
That's Agan was actually in the Rocky movies? He was
in Rocky three and that was my cris. I wasn't huge,
and also his time in WW was way before me.
But when I watched Rocky, I was like, who is
that giant man in he did the whole brother thing.
I was like, Oh, it's all cog that cool. So
that's sad too, man, that is sad.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
All right.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Some stuff coming out in theaters this weekend. The Fantastic
four First Steps is coming out of the reboot of
the Fantastic Four series.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Have you seen uh Pedro Pascal?

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yes, I want to see.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
All the is like rubbing up on him all the time.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
He is rubbing up on her.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
No, no, no, there's a video this morning. I actually
watched it.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
It's like four or five clips of her rubbing his neck,
grabbing his hand, coming up and squeezing his face like
she's all over him.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Now.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
I have heard he suffers from like debilitating anxiety, Like
he has a hard time being in front of crowds
and stuff. So if you see him at like these
comic cons and stuff and she's next to him, she'll
go over and hold his hand and like rub his
arm just to kind of give him some comfort in
that situation. So I don't know if that's what's happening
in all of these interviews, but man, yeah, they're all

(04:58):
over each other.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
And isn't she she's pregnant.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
The husband and the way he's touching her, people are
not happy about it.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
But he's gay. I think he's gay. No, this is
going in so many different directions.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I think.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Fantastic four or not. Yeah, he's in the Mandalorian.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I like Bamby the Reckoning is coming out this weekend.
What it's the whole uh the the went into the
public domain, you know, like Winnie the Pooh and Mickey
Mouse and Bambi. Bamby the Reckoning is another horror thriller
from the demented minds behind Winnie the Pooh, Blood and Honey.

(05:41):
So yes, it's essentially Bambi's getting the revenge now in
Hunters and it's you know, wow, going on.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
A deadly run, remember you, revenge for the death of
his mother. Get him.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
And then of course we just talked about this on
Netflix today. I guess it's probably out now. We could
probably watch it commercial breaks. Happy Gilmour two drops today.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
We're so excited for that. I am so excited for that.
So many cameos, celebrities, that's going to be.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
Well, it's all the golf that are in the world
of golf and that's like my time.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
And Kelsey's like, there's so many celebrities.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Would you look at that? Would you look at that?

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Look at that? All right, Katy?

Speaker 1 (06:19):
What's going on locally?

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Girl? Okay, well we're starting out with a little sad story,
but something that is right here. I mean right off
four seventy. The woman who was killed when her car
struck a moose off C four seventy in Highlands Ranch.
So and moose, Yeah, a moose on C four seventy.
But a week earlier someone passed away eastbound four seventy
at Kipling because they swerve to avoid hitting a deer.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
So I drive that twice a day every day that
same route, and the deer signs are flashing like crazy
on the road right now. And I didn't know why,
but now hearing this, I'm like, okay, I get it. Yeah,
but a ding dang moose and you don't want to
hit that. That's a shot sadly away.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Yeah, No, it's don't want to hit a move crazy.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
I mean wildlife obviously in Colorado, we just have to
be prepared for it. We're living in their world. But
you're right like four to seventy, it looks like, you know,
animals are looking to cross that a lot more.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
They just want to get into suburbia. They're trying to
get to Trader Joe's.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yes, as we all are.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Larryott Lodge is right down there. Larryot Lodge is a
great little place to grab a bigger and a beer.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
So maybe the moose wanted a beer.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
They love that view.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
I will say I saw some mock ups.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I don't know if this is happening or what, but
they're thinking about doing that thing on four seventy right
in that area Kipling Wadsworth area where it's one of
those animal crossing bridges.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Oh yeah, so they'll take four.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Seventy, dip it down so it goes underground and then
back up, and then they've got a land bridge that
goes over the top so the animals can cross back
and forth there. That'd be so small it's gonna come
up for seventy traffic, I would imagine for quite a while.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
But yeah, that's one of those things they do to
help the animals cross.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
But it'll save lives, I mean, exactly worth it in
a long time.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, So I don't know, we'll see if that costs
to fruition or not. Scary stuff. We're hoping I'm a
little more alert.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Yeah, absolutely, I mean definitely drive with those eyes open.
Why would you drive with the way sometimes I drive you?

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Okay, you put it hit that butt where it keeps
you in the lanes in your car and you're fine,
and you're fine.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
How about this one open table? Now, this is a
restaurant reservation site. They teamed up with Kayak to put
out the top one hundred hotel restaurants in the country,
and we've got three right here in Colorado. I love
this so up in Veil, there's one tavern Netta is
what it's called. But here in the metro area. We've

(08:36):
got Edge Restaurant in bar So that's inside four Seasons.
Apparently they have known for their amazing food drink service,
so that's one place you can check out. And then
also Wildflower inside Lifehouse Hotel in Denver. Now there's no
ranking in this, it's just the top one hundred, so
it's not in any specific order, but those are three

(08:57):
spots are highlighting right here in the Centennial State as
good places to check out. I'm all about it, you know,
I want to check out the best we have for
you know that, you know food.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
Fans, well, Seasons is gonna be really good.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Yeah, you know that you're gonna get some good stuff
there and leave peep in season. It's almost here, like
I cannot.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Around the corner.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Even the folks at Clear Creek County they're trying to
get everything in order before it really starts popping off,
and they're saying, do not park your car on the
side of the road while you're checking out the Foliage
Foliage Foliage Potato Patato right like March System or March Simpson.

(09:40):
She is if you ever if you ever check out
that episode, she's like Foiliage every time I have to
say it that way. Yeah, but they are actually gonna
put up no parking signs on Guanella Passes season because
if you they put up some pictures and they showed
how all of the car is that line up on

(10:01):
the mountain side there. They take up so much room
and then emergency vehicles can't passy has been a problem
in years past. So they're like when one person parks
illegally on the side of the road, everyone thinks they
can do it, so before you know it, there's a
whole line of cars parked up on the side and
they're not supposed to do so. This year, again, it's
something that hasn't been up there before. If you make

(10:22):
your way up there, you're gonna see no parking signs
and they will be enforcing it, so you will get
a ticket as well. And I believe they started like
seventy five bucks, so yeah, right good, Oh.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yes, we really like how often do you have to
go up and look at the leaves?

Speaker 5 (10:38):
Come?

Speaker 2 (10:39):
You do it once and then you can go on
with your life. You do it once. Avoid the traffic, No,
you stay home. No, don't hit every movies.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
No, you don't have to go up there every year
to look at the leaves.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
You go somewhere you look the same every year, but
you go different places. You know, we have a lot
of passes here, right.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Rated, It's overrated. I've lived here my entire life. Red
Mountain Pass, I've been to.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
All the same leaves that you see.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
It's the same thing every single year, the.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Same color on Red Mountain Pass.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Why are you fighting with me because I'm right on.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
I've been to all the passes I've lived my entire life.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
I know you have. But you should not get sick
of that. That's the sick of it. That's the thing
is that you should go move to.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Somebody needs to speak up about this something so you
have every year everyone's like it's leaf people in season.
That was the best time. I look at the leaves.
It's the exact same colors.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
As last year. Somebody needs to speak up about this.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
You need to go to a boring state and live
there so that you are proud and you understand.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
You think.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
They don't have it like we do. You guys every
stand you don't understand.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
I understand how you take it for granted.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
That's the thing is, you've lived here so long that
you underappreciate the beauty of this state. And I'm here to.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Tell you I understand it's beautiful, beautiful every year to
do it once now every year. You're making this sweat
right now, every sweating right now, ice smelled chicken noodle
soup right now. You You don't need to.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Go everywhere to look at the new I'm going.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Somebody needs to finally speak up about this. Stay home,
get on your soapbox, sir. Can you see the leaves
from there? Okay, let's move on to this one.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
You're in a movie. Remember you argue feisty.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Okay, let's talk about the QR codes.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Remember when we talk speaking of all that traffic in
the mountains can't be good for the environment. Everybody piling
up the hill, sitting on the highway, bumping a bumper,
just idling for hours to go?

Speaker 1 (12:41):
What do you looking at that tree?

Speaker 5 (12:42):
It's red?

Speaker 2 (12:44):
The color rent all right, everybody back in the car,
back down for another two hours as we sit in traffic.
Look at the foil pumping pumping CO two into the
air into the beautiful Colorado mountains.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Check out the foliot, Thank you, thank you, not stupid.
It's a Colorado pastime. I love it again. Okay, So
we talked about the fake QR codes in Cherry Creek.
Remember where scammers are putting stickers onto the parking meters
and having people scan them and then they're taking to
a website and they are completely scammed out of money. Yeah,

(13:19):
and now they're doing it in more places in Denver. Actually,
these ones look super legit. And this is right off
so I was just there that what is it the
Golden Triangle area? It's not a far fetch. I could
have been there, but is it the Golden Triangle right
down there off like Broadway?

Speaker 1 (13:39):
And second, I don't go downtown either.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
They're finding these.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Don't go to the mountains and down.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
You don't go anywhere that, Katie, What else you got?

Speaker 3 (13:52):
No? Just so these are out in this area as well.
So they were in Cherry Creek, but now they're finding
them in other places. So just be aware because they
can scam me out of a lot of money. You
want me to just go on to the last one.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
What else you got?

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Okay, let's do you get first? Psychedelic healing center license
has been issued in Denver, so the center origin is
what it's called and that's right off fifteenth and Blake Street.
They officially received their license on Wednesday of this week.
So it's the first psychedelic healing center.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
Like can you take acid and stuff?

Speaker 3 (14:26):
No, it's just the mushrooms. But they are like guided
journeys too. They were talking about even how they decorated it.
All of the art in there is to enhance your
experience and really create the best honestly, like the guid
journeys that are you know when you're doing the microdocene.
There's so many health benefits that come with this, and

(14:47):
so I think a place like this is really really
smart because there's not a lot we know about it yet.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
It's coming coming, It'll be here, and I hope so
because I'm invested in some psilocybin companies exactly.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
I explodes the more knowledge about it the better because
it obviously freaks people out because when you think of psychedelics,
people automatically think hippies.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
In the sun. But they take stuff out of it.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
You don't trip, and it helps you with like PTSD
and depression anxiety.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Thank you again, you just take the good out of it.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Yeah, Well, it's really just helped, Like you said, they
can help you with so many different things when it
comes to mental health, more natural than Yeah. I am
just so glad that it's really starting to happen, right,
it's starting to happen. And this looks like the first
step again. The center origin is off fifth and Blake Street. Okay,

(15:42):
And then a nod to a new Colorado champion. I
love this. His name's Jason Dorn. He is from Greenwood
Village and he is the national champion for something. Do
we want to say? Let him say he's the national
shoe shine and Champion and right here for me, he's.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
The shoeshine micro do.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Okay. So I just wanted to talk about his story
because he became a shoeshiner because he was in the
airport and he saw people doing it and he's like, gosh,
that looks so therapeutic, so healing, right, And he saw
somebody leave their shoeshine stand and he jumped into action, right.
He shined three people's shoes before he caught his flight

(16:25):
and he was hooked from that moment.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
On his hands though, ladies shines.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Scissors and scotch Yeah, okay, he shined my shoes.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
He just competed Polishes Shoeshining Championship in Las Vegas and
he won. So you know that you.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
Made it win.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
You know that you made it win. I'll tell you
what that makes me so happy.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
He's also pretty cute.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
I just want.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
You can polish that booty if you'd like polish.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Y.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Go wash your hands, they smell like feet.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
There you go, guys, there's your mile High Hype with
