Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jery Katy and Josh one hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Well let's see what's going on here nationally and locally.
First things.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
First, did you guys sit down and watch the HG
two over the weekend? Yeah, gilmart I was so good.
Year Really, I didn't get to watch it. I heard
from two different people that said the exact same thing
about that movie.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
It was amazing.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Movie was a load of crap and you have to
be an idiot to like it. No, that's that's exactly
what both of them said. So you guys liked it.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
I loved it.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I actually hated it was good because both of the
people said it was horrible. I actually downloaded or bought
Netflix just to watch it this time, okay, and I
was that's okay. So that's the thing. It is probably
the dumbest movie I've ever seen. But that being said,
I shocked. I was laughing the entire time, like it

(00:55):
was and it's Adam Sandler, there's no point. But every
single cam that was in there made me the happiest person.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Happiest happy, maybe the happiest person ever. Because first of all,
those are the golfers that I watched.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Byson d Chambeau, Oh my God be so funny.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
He was hilarious. Rory was funny.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Scotti Scheffler's cameo don't ruin it.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I haven't watched it.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Yeah, Scotti Scheffler's cameo made me have tears from laughing
so hard. It was so funny. John Daily should literally
be up for like an Academy award. I'm not kidding.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I'm gonna have to look all these people up before
I watch it.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
Here's the thing, even the people who couldn't make the
cameos because they have since left us since the first one.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
May they rest the treat well, the tributes that were
paid in that movie.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
I mean there's a fight in the cemetery and they're
like showing the headstones.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Of the people that passed away.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Also, Cameron Boyce, who wasn't in movie in Happy Gilmore,
he actually was in a movie with Adam Sandler paid
homage to him.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Like there's a scene where some of.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
The golfers are watching Jesse, which is the show he's from,
on a screen and you see a picture of Cameron
Boyce who passed away very suddenly and was it was
so sad.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
So the fact that he even Patris the alligator in
the algy.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Oh yeah, alligators. Alligators, don't say anymore. It was such
a good Jeremy, I think you would really like.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
I couldn't watch it. It was Adam Sandler fan. The
first one was crap to so it means like, you.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Know, crazy, you know what's funny? Crap. I thought this
one was better. I really did. I really did.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
And the thing is is, you just saw Adam Sandler
was like, I am going to make this so fun
and do whatever I want with this movie.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
And it was. It really was.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I'm a fan of the Sandman.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
I even thought the whole premise of the movie made
I was like, oh my gosh, I get the plot
of the movie. It keeps me in the whole time,
like I want to see what happened?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
And how about the shock in the first three minutes
of the movie.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
God, it made me miss movies from the nineties where
a lot of their whole point was to make.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Us laugh, you know what I mean. We don't need
to mess your mind up.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
It doesn't and yeah, stupid about it all night and
I just don't even know.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Stupid. You're stupid here.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
And this brought me.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Right back to the nineties to where it was like
Adam sandler movies ruled. And that's how I felt watching
this movie. And I will say one thing I saw
somebody's critic of it was that our critique of it
was that Adam Sandler kind of phoned it in with it.
He's very underwhelmed at times to where I'm like, maybe
a little more excitement, but exactly like outside of that,

(03:38):
and I only I only noticed that a couple of
little times, like I was like, he looks think about it,
just looks exactly like and think how much physical comedy
was in the first Happy Gilmour on Adam's Park, So
it's like, you know, maybe he didn't go that route
this time. I was so happy with that movie, and
in fact, I'd probably go watch it again. I really right,

(04:00):
because there were some things I probably missed.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
No, it's funny.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
I watched it with my dad, who's also a guy
that you know, he grew up through the nineties like
you guys as well, and he we both left the
couch after watching it on Netflix and we're like, that
was funny.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
That was just a good, you know, waste of two hours,
and it was. It was funny. Can the kids watch it.
Is it appropriate?

Speaker 4 (04:19):
I'd probably wait a little bit, okay, just because there's
some you know, going to his happy place, there's some.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
His happy place is a lot different now, yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
A lot different now. Oh my gosh, the change. Okay, okay, funny.
If I would wait, I would wait for the kid wait. Okay, wait,
there's some adult humor.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
But I literally I woke up Saturday morning, I laid
on my couch and I watched that movie.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
And that was the best decision I could have. Macaues
it put me in.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, I work it into my treadmill.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
Time.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Absolutely break it into a couple of parts. But all right,
I'm down. I'm down to clown.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Oh what else is going on?

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Well, we got to talk about my girlfriend here, Sydney Sweening.
Sweening Sweeney, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Swidney Paget has a new American Eagle advertising campaign right now, uh,
centered all around her, and it is doing so well
that the company's stock went up more than fifteen percent
this week.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Oh my god, it's going up, up, up, up up.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
They increased the value of American Eagle by three hundred
and ten million dollars.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
By the new campaign called Sydney Sweeney has great genes.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
I just don't understand, like and she does, oh my gosh.
But some people up in arms about it.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
I'm like, why, Like jeans are super baggy and everything. Yes,
she's beautiful and everything. It's not like they're it's overly sexy.
It's not a campaign, it's not over sexy. Yeah. The
commercial I saw, she gets into like an old school Mustang,
like just lights him up and takes off, which is
big into cars.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
I was gonna say, that's totally her. She's been working
on cars. Her and her dad rebuilt a Ford Bronco. Like, yeah,
that's totally her stack.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
That's why you like her.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
She's the best. That's why she can on an old Bronco. Seriously.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
The new campaign features a series of playful and provocative clips,
says this story, promoting the retailer's denim collection. Several of
the videos have gone viral on social media, each amassing
over thirty million views. I don't so kudos to American
Eagle for jumping on somebody who's hot right now pun
intended and is selling products. And they're like this, this

(06:27):
is a spokesperson that will sell our jeans and it's working.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
It's I don't know why everyone's all but heard about it.
She looks good.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
And she also did that whole thing where she was
selling her bathwater in the soap and that's way more provocative,
way more provocative than wearing jeans in a commercial.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Well, and American Eagle jeans are great already, And I
think I think you make a good point as slapping
her name on the brand is only going to help
them whatever. I think people forget name association seem she's
a pretty decent actress to like she go crazy, like
she convinces me every time.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
She can cry it really well for you.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
I feel like she has some acting chops, and so
the people tend to forget that because she is so beautiful.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah, it's unfortunate for her. You know, I've seen all
her movies. She can read the dictionary.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Okay, guys, geez, this is over sexualizing.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
And then these same people are running and watching Love Island.
You know, I know, sexy. This is a disgrace.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Oh Love Island.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
They had to go back and watch season six just
because Zoe said it was better than season seven. So
now I'm halfway through season six.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
That being said, Love Island USA has achieved a new
milestone by coming Peacock's most watched original, accumulating over eighteen
billion minutes of viewing on the platform. Yeah, then they
do the math on that, that's like twelve million days.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
It's because they come out with it. They used to
have it on NBC. That's the thing is.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
It used to be on TV and they had it
every single night except Sunday. But every night you got
a new episode of Love Island, and I loved it.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
I loved it. And now they moved it to their.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Digital platform, which they're still putting out an episode every
day essentially. Well, I mean, but they then they get
people fixed because you get to vote on who stays
on the island, which couples you want on the island.
So it's just they really have It's like an interactive
reality show.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
It's genius.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
I still haven't seen it with the kids.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
A lot of sex show and on Peacock they swear too.
They're saying those naughty.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
Words, a lot of them, body mouth a lot of them,
a lot of them.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Yeah, watch Happy Gilmar.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yes, that's a good one, all right, Katie, what's local stuff.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
Okay, We've got to start it up with what happened
Saturday afternoon at DA that American Airlines flight that essentially
caught on fire.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Part of it.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Sean Williams was actually a passenger of the flight and
spoke with our friends at nine News said it all
happened pretty quickly.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
About halfway to take off speed. We hear a big
bang and a pop. Pilot immediately started aboard procedures for
taking off.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
You start to hit the brakes.

Speaker 6 (09:01):
A few seconds later, someone's kind of looking out the
window and says, yell fire. My biggest thing was I
was just hopefully that it stays on the run. Even
when I was on the wing, I started to see
a fire engine spraying the tire and everything.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yeah, the video is insane. It's gone viral for sure.
It's crazy sliding down the slide.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
And the airline said the flight to Miami was experiencing
quote maintenance issues.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
You think to check the tires.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Yeah, thankfully everyone was okay on that flight. But yeah,
if you see the video, there's some footage shot from
outside one of the windows right above the wing, and
you see the wheel roll off.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Into just came off.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
I just rolled off into the field. That's the first
thing that happened. And then the fire started. So Josh
and I were kind of talking off the air about
how we think maybe it was the plane was dragging
where that tire was supposed to be and that's what started,
if that's what happened, but we were just speculating the
polis could be a stability. But yeah, thankfully everyone was

(10:02):
okay on that flight, but pretty pretty scary.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
I would think at any time there's smoke in the slide, pops,
that's an intense moment for the out and they're.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Saying it happened so quickly.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
You see a lot of the images on the news
are people on the slide getting out of the plane,
and I just like, I can't imagine how scary.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
I can't Does the slide not look a little fun
like every time when you see those, right, it's like, yeah,
I want to try it.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
I know you're in an emergency, but come on, kind
of fun if.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
You weren't so worked up. I saw a dad like
hanging on to both of them.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
I know there was like headlocks. That's the last thing
he's thinking is like, Wow, this is fun.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
You know, he's probably not thinking, don't breathe the smoke.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
But yeah, like the this is just like first anyone
who has to fly.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
It's like why.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
We're not flying anywhere this year at all. Yeah, you
l on Friday.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Wear silk pants, so it's easy to slide out short.
You don't want your sweaty thighs on that thing.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
The thighs on the slide. When we were kids like
that would anything.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah, and your thighs has just gotten bigger. Okay, big
thighs save lives. Is that what it is?

Speaker 1 (11:16):
We're amping up leg day. That is not the case.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Okay, okay, I've been doing squat waits with my laundry soap.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Remember you could have gone out.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
You could have gone out and held that plane up
and ran with that tire off.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
You could have just held it your legers a string. Okay,
we're gonna stop.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
We're gonna need a passenger on this plane with massive
thives to get out there and place the wheel. Come
to say, the day Radio Katie said that Josh Radio
Radio Katie happened to be on this plane.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
We're gonna need some massive thighs out there.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Get this, get this, bird back up on the You
don't need to say massive.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Can't believe you said that.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Thighs over Okay, yeah, this is fly two for two tower.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
We got massively thighs on a plane.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Heard the pilot being just beat down, Like, my thighs
aren't massive.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
How about this Denver woman feeling devastated not because of
her thighs, but because of a one of a kind
flying machine that was literally stolen from her porch minutes.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
After it was delivered. So what it is.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
It's a she said, essentially a two stroke engine on
a backpack with a propeller. So she actually had this
machine built like she was trying to get into a
paramotor hobby. And so she had this machine built and
then shipped. Oh I know, the tucking thousands of dollars
for this thing to be built.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
And you can see the delivery.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Driver takes the box out of the vehicle, brings it
to the front porch and minute we're talking, minutes later,
somebody swooped up grass and drives off in their man.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
No, not drive off, but he drives off in their man.
Here's the thing is she she.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
Had to have this thing specifically made to her, so
it's not gonna.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Work for anybody else.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
She's put in hours of training on the ground and
so it's like she was hoping this was going to
be like her maiden voyage in her paramotor.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
She was silly even just to say.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
But yeah, So she was really upset that she went
on her ring camera and saw that somebody just came
up and stole this package minutes after it was delivered.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
So what they're saying is they think that.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Somebody knew exactly what it was they were stocking that
truck and just waiting.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
They don't know how it happened.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
I can complete my paramotornection.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Maybe she was a little too.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
Braggy about it, and today I'm getting somebody she shouldn't.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
And I think it said eight thousand something.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
If it pops up on next door, you know it is.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
And that's what they're like. This is one book time,
like no one else has this. So if you see
it alright, Erica Massey's missing it and she would really
like it back because again she's waiting for that maiden
voyage in her paramotor. Okay, So Denver Summit FC, so
the new soccer team, the women's national soccer team, they

(14:23):
were introduced at a.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Block party over the weekend. Looked like a lot of fun.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
But what they also told us is they're going to
have eleven neighborhood summits sculptures that are going to be
placed around really popular neighborhoods in the metro area. So
you can see these sculptures and spots like Union Station,
the Denver Zoom McGregor Square will have one. Dea is
going to have one as well. But you're going to
see the logo of the Denver Summit. So our new

(14:49):
soccer team in these sculptures. I just thought that was
neat a way to promote the team and say, hey,
we have a soccer team, professional soccer team for women.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Here is that where bridges.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
I don't know if I knew you guys were going
that it should be no U. And then okay, just
one more because if you want to get Nicole Ochics
to cry, okay, whisper sweet, nothing's about his horses, That's
how you're gonna do it. There's a viral video making
the rounds after his horse won a prestigious horse race

(15:22):
over in Serbia. His horse Demon del Este was crowned
the champion and you can see once he once he's
crowned champion, Joker like.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
He loses its horses doesn't.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
And it's funny because they're comparing it to him winning
the NBA Championship.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
And now he's like, the job is done, we can
go home now.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
And then you have him and the winds.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
I can't believe this is my life.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
He was. He was sobbing. It was actually so cute.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
You have to see the video because it just shows
you a man and his horses.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
He loves him, he does. He sure does love those horses.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
I love you, I love the horses. The horses are
good for me. That's it, you guys.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
There's your hype, Mile High Hype with Jeremy, Katie and
