check us out to see my epic dad shirt today,
probably one of the biggest dad shirts you will ever see.
I came in this morning and Katie was like, oh,
that's different, and I said, this shirt has not been
out of.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
The closet in easily ten years.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
And as you can see why, I like it though
I kind of like it too.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
And that's back to back dad shirts for you this week.
Like yesterday he had the little Martini glass, Palm Tree.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Palm Tree one. Yeah, looking sharp.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Well, you know, find some of these shirts in the
back of the closet. I was like, I haven't worn
these in forever. I might as well pull them out.
And then this morning I put this one on and
it cold came downstairs as I was making coffee.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
She just goes, it's such a dad shirt. But whatever,
I'm gonna rocket.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
We got an all staff meeting today, so it'll be
a good carversation piece. Thanks for hanging out with us
on a Thursday morning. We've got some fun stuff coming
up on the show today, including fast five at seven
thirty with some more Fits in the Tantrums, Tickets for grabs,
sold out show at the Botanic Gardens, and we'll also

part of Mixed one hundreds All Access Summer Katie. How
was your day yesterday?

Speaker 1 (01:26):
It was so good? How was it?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I don't want to divulge too much, No tell us everything.
A big mouth and I ruined things when I talk
about it. So anyone who's listened to the show for
long enough, I think, will respect the fact that I
want to keep some of this alone and build the
tea until we get a little bit, you know, farther
along into the relationship.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
I will say.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
When she left yesterday after the show, She's like, oh
my god, I got get right out of here.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
You gotta get ready my day. I'm super excited. I
got a good feeling about this. This guy was gonna
be I did have a good feeling.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, And it's fine because I will tell you a
few things.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
He hit a lot of boxes.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
He is an actual chef, like a chef, and he
is a restaurant owner and like our conversation yesterday was
just like everything he was saying to me, the way
this man talked about a tomato, I'm just not even
kidding I was. He told me, Well, he told me

(02:24):
a story about how like when he was growing up,
his grandma would pick him up from school and every
day after school, they would go to the market and
they would pick up a potato and a tomato and
a chicken breast and she would make a dish with
these ingredients. But every single day they would go get
different ingredients to make the dish for the nighttime. And
he was just like, I didn't even realize I was

(02:44):
being trained by like a famous chef, at least by
you know.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
My standards. Yeah, but his grandmama.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Taught him everything, and it.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Was it sounds like very is he Italian? He's a Hispanics? Okay,
well yeah, he's from Mexico. It sounds like something that's
very in culture.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
And it's like I was just.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Thinking like Italian, like very Mediterranean because they go get
the fresh ingredients every day and they're making the miniestroni soup.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
And there's people who eat food and then there's people
who have a passion about food, and I again, every
word he was saying. I was just hooked. And at
one point, you know, he's like, but you you you
talk on the radio and that's gotta be awesome. And
I was like, it's fun, we have a show, we
have a good time. I was like, tell me about
your tortillas, so you make them from scratch corn.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
And all you know.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I just, yes, was enthralled by this guy and he
had the accent yes, and then like the words he
used also, because that's huge for me. I love just
you know, the English language and command of it.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
That's so important to me.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
And he was just like using words I hadn't heard
in years, and I was like, I love this. I
just I could say. We talked for two hours and
it just went there where you at? So we went
to Levin Deli downtown. Yeah, so it's pretty historic. But yeah,
we just sat outside at a little table with two
iced teas. We didn't even eat anything, and we talked
about food the whole time.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
But we have daughters.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
There's just so much in common between us, and so
I just.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
You saying, he doesn't drink as well, which is huge
because you don't drink. Yeah, you know, and it's nice
to find somebody on that same level.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
It is, and so it just like and just his
his passion about everything. I mean, this man went from
working as a buss er in kitchens to owning his
own restaurant, and so it just he's very impressive to me.
And I don't again, I want to keep a little
bit to myself, so.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
I don't tell me everything, so I don't.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Mess it up. I'm gonna call him mister chef. So
we're gonna mister chef chef like chef boy, mister.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Y at the end of the state you referred to
me on the radio, called me.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
And he goes and there's smoke and he disappeared. It's
a magician, not a chef. No, I'm a chef and
shinky no, just a chef.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Part. I don't need any guy to just get married again.
It's so beginning, it's so fresh that look like I
don't want to jinx it. He is tall, dark and handsome.
Is he tattoos He's six to one, So he's tall,
dark and handsome. Yeah, of tattoos, active all over and
and very I know, like as tattoos, like tough.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
I mean, it's just tough and.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
All over like legs, arms, just everything one little like
it's creeping up on the neck. But it's not like tomato.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
No, it's not a tomato. Tomato.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Interesting guy, Gosh, I just am I'm pretty hooked on
him already.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Was he interested in you at all? Because you're you're
saying he talked about himself well, but he asked.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Me a lot of questions. I just was so interested
in him. I kind of just.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Was like, Okay, talk on the radio, but this is
this could be very beneficial for you, or it could
end up very bad.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
It just works out because you might balloon up to
like three thirty, I know.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
And we're gonna have to will you in here on
a little cart every day here behind the mic. We're
gonna have to adjust the camera angle on our live
stream to try to fin you out a little bit.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Get the up angle, h We'll shoot.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
You from the top and we'll throw a blanket over you.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Did.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
How did the date end?

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Hug?

Speaker 1 (06:30):
He was yeah, nice and shake.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
He walked me to my car and he was very
I talk to you guys about how like when someone
touches you, it's either a shutter or it's very welcome,
and so he like touched the small on my back
to kind of direct me a little. And that will
irritate the crap out of me if it's the wrong person,
but when it's the right person, I'm.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Like about it.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah. So he walked me all the way to my car,
and I even went the wrong way at first because
I was turned around direction.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
And I was like, I don't remember the rhinos.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
So then he turned around and went the other way
and he's like, this is fine.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
We just get longer to walk together. And I was like,
oh sweet, I like this guy. Tell me his real
name is Fernando. No, it's not, damn it. I want
him to be a Fernando. Chef Fernando, I know you
do well. I'm very happy for you. Congratulations and finally
having a good date. It's a minute. We're a chef.
Ow you're getting married. You're getting married.
