Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jared, You, Katy and Josh mix one hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
What's up wholek Maniacs.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Brother, it's a little say yesterday when that news bro.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
We will definitely be talking about it more in the hype.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
But I truly was off the entire day yesterday, down
in the dumps, depressed and off yesterday.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Because of a probably Mike.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
One of my top five you know icons as a kid,
let's say growing up was the Holkster. He's probably the
top five you know, very close to Peewee. But yeah,
pop culture icon passing away yesterday. I was bumming for sure.
But yeah, well we'll cover that in the hype. First
things first, I want to talk about my truck, and

(00:46):
then I want to talk about what you did last night, Katie.
The irritation with my new truck continues.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
This truck is pissing me off.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
No, not only do I regret purchasing it because my
head rubs the ceiling. The mirrors are too on the sides.
I can never see who's next to me. The little
alert light is constantly on saying that there's a vehicle
next to you, no vehicle next to me. I've had
to put a sticker over that light on the mirror

(01:14):
because it just keeps going off, and it's horrible when
I'm driving in and it's pitch dark and that light's
blasting me the whole way. So the light won't turn off.
The mirors are too freak and small, and the backup
camera sucks. It cuts off the corners of the rear
end when you're backing up, so you can't really see
the edges of the bumper backing up. So as I

(01:35):
was backing into my garage yesterday, didn't see the kids
scooter behind me, the electric scooter sitting there, so I
proceeded to back in and press the scooter against the
back wall of the garage, which was laying against the
rear tail light of the truck, which put.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
A big hole in the taillight of the truck. I
heard that as I was backing.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Up, quickly did a on the interwebs for what the
part would cost to replace the tail light on my truck.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Roughly seven hundred and fifty dollars.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Due for the whole tail light assembly, because they're led
fancy new at least seven and that doesn't include some shipping.
Oh if you can even find it, Because there was
like one Rando on eBay that had it, you know,
because the fairly new. It's a new body style, and
there's like no parts for it yet. So I'm rolling

(02:30):
around with a big old hole in my tail.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Light right now. Dude, that sucks.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
So I promptly sat in bed last night on autotrader
dot com.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
I'm looking at it.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
This is kind of what you get for getting rid
of America's pickup.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
This is what I get for making a shift. I've
had an F one fifty since high school. Essentially, I
decided to try something different and I hate it. And
I can't even tell you about my wife and how
she is in my kitchen.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I told you, I told you, I told you. She
is just soaking this up.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I can just soak it up, like you get one
more trade and then you can trade your car for a.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
She that's She's like, you can go get n F
one fifty. She's like, but you were holding onto.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
It for a decade. Yeah, you are going to hold
onto it for a decade if.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
You do this, I good you held you You hold
your last one for a decade, right that was seven years?

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Okay, so close enough, I mean.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
But yeah, it's just the whole hassle then of having
to do it all over again. And I don't I'm
not a fan of car shopping, but.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I think you need to trade it in for America's
Pickup because here's the outside of the very first day
you got this new ride, you have just complained about.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
It and really have.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah, the first day I think you were like, it's fun,
it's I like driving it around.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Zip it. You got room in the garage to run into.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
It, like you were so proud for one day.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Now I can't even wear a ball cap in it
because you know, when I test drove it, I didn't
have a hat on. But if I have a ball
cap on, my head is rubbing on the ceiling. Because
I went smaller pickup this time.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Nobody likes that.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Hey, nobody wants that. Everybody needs an America's pickup.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
I so we'll see. I don't know. I don't know.
I don't it's hard to give hn the cold the satisfaction.
I know. I want to hold onto it just to
spite her. You know, she was like truly like in.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
The office last night, I like, I told you and
you said on the test drives and everything that this
was fine, this is what you wanted, and and there
and then she hit me.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
He kind of deserved that, I was going to say.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
So anyway, that's my update on my dinky little truck.
My Barbie truck is the friends called that. I can't
even got a hold in the back end, right.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Uh. Tell me about this Big Eats you were at yesterday? Wow?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
The food you were Yeah, the Big Eat was the
big awesome.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Tell you what.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I was just at one point just putting anything in
my mouth. I was like, oh that that that that
Like there was so much food around and so many
different kinds of food, and there were a lot of
people there. I thought that the lines were going to
be a lot longer just because the event sold out.
It's a big people are not familiar what is eat.
It's all the local restaurants like mon pop restaurants, some

(05:23):
you know, bigger ones, but for the most part, it's
the local Denver restaurant scene and they all come together
and it was at the Denver Performing Arts Center kind
of complex area.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
It almost sounds like a taste of Colorado.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
It is. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's very much like that.
But here's the thing is the difference is with taste
of Colorado. I know that the food is a lot
of it, little bite size, just little bite, one bite
you saw I had a full on slice of pizza.
There was a full sandwich like stacked that we were eating.

(05:56):
And the food was just phenomenal. I mean from the
minute we walked in the door, I was just in
love with the amount of food. Everywhere you look there
were desserts. I mean, any kind of cuisine you could
think of it was there and it was all so good.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Oh it's so tasty.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
But here's the thing is, next year, I feel like
I would approach it differently because you have a U pant. Yeah,
looser pants for one. Definitely put my hair back too.
So if you spell at home, get into that food.
But people were walking around because you have plates, right,
Like every tent you go to, you pick up a
little plate of food and then you're carrying it around

(06:34):
and you have your drink and you have your bag
and stuff, so your hands get kind of full. I
saw people with like cafeteria trays. Oh that's how you
do it, that's idea you exactly.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
People had that.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
People had like little snackle box kind of things, right,
So where you could put it in different compartments. I mean,
people came to play at the Big Eat and I
was like, this is next year. I will do it differently.
I will prepared.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
These are professional level. It was so good.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
And then I did run into mister chef.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Who oh this guy that you got, the hospital guy that.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
I really like. He owns a restaurant. He was at
this event and like our first date. We talked about
it and I was.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Like, oh my gosh, I'm gonna be Did you go
up to him? He was like, hi, ma'am, and you
are he knew who I was. Oh he did? Okay good.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
It was funny because, like we were chatting before, he
actually texted me yesterday and I got so excited about
it because you know, it's new, so I don't know
how he feels about me. But he texted me and
he's like, hey, you hope you're having a good day.
I'm really excited to see you tonight at this event.
And I was like, oh, this is exciting, so I
want I want to point it out too, because we
did get to talk and hang out a little bit

(07:42):
and guys, what I got some tongue.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
What I did know it was duck tongue on a
h katie. Okay, it's time for traffic. Legit duct tug.
He was serving duct toungue and it was awesome, you suck.
That was good. That was good Josh's face.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
I was like, finally she got at the place like
he's the head chef doing you can out.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
At the big eat what like? No, but he like
his food was on another less Well what else are
you going to say?

Speaker 3 (08:27):
She's about even kidding Like I was like, I like
you even more just by tasting your duct tongue.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
This is so I got some God.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
When shout out to our friend Colleen who came with me,
and man, she's the best. She is so little she
can put away some food. She is so like, my gosh,
she kept up with me.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I was like, yes, callings our friend from Channel nine.
If you don't know who she is, we talk about
her a lot. She says she's a good human.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
So it was fun hanging out with her and seeing
her throwback some food too.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
But she did not try the duck tongue. She's like
you are Yeah, I think I would have passed on
the tongue. It's really chewy. Isn't it. It's uh yeah,
it's gamy, pretty gamey gamy past juicy tongue. That's funny.
You got me? Well yeah, well played. Were you laying
in bed last night You're like, oh, he's having a
three in the morning.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
You have no idea even sitting here talking to you guys.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
This morning, cracking it up. Here we go. You got
some tongue right on.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Well, let's uh, let's uh set a little date in
the calendar. I want to go to this next year.
You have to, so let me know what it is.
It be fun to go.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
To next year. We all need to do that.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Now.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I have a prison tray from when I was in prison,
so that is perfect. Yes, good job, Katie Cat, Good job.
