Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jeremy, Katie and Josh in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Good morning, guys, Good morning, good morning.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
We are safe and sound here in a landlocked state.
But of course, the big news this morning the tsunami,
the big earthquake off of Russia's coast, and then all
the warnings that went out pretty much for the entire
West coast of the United States last night.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
It looks like we're pretty much in the clear.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Though they canceled all the evacuation orders in Hawaii.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
They downgraded it just to a warning.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Now, there was a big wave.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
I think the hit part of California, the Port San
Luis coast, and it is a three foot wave, four foot.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
I'm not seeing much damage out of this thing. This morning,
Japan downgraded the tsunami warnings. I think we're in the clear.
Does anybody else know anything else about the water?
Speaker 5 (00:55):
That's the same thing I've heard. I know Russia got
hit pretty hard. Obviously they were pretty dank close where
it happened. But in terms of US, I think we're
pretty much good. It should be past the time because
it said within twenty four hours it very tiny waves
will hit South America.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
But that's where the French Polynesian islands, thirteen foot waves
could be hitting them, and that was fifty seven minutes ago.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, so it.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Looks like it's we're probably in the clear.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I got some audio actually, we pull up this.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Guy, this guy in Hawaii.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
I was listening to this guy this morning and him
talking about all the tourists just standing around waiting to
see the tsunami come in.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
What are you doing?
Speaker 4 (01:36):
That is insane?
Speaker 1 (01:37):
That's interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
I'd be getting in that uber and hitting.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
For higher ground. Do they think they're looking at the
internet like this is real life? Well, you reacts.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
I heard if you were on the balconies like they said,
if they said, if you were on the ninth floor
and higher, you should be fine.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
But if you're like waiting on the beach, but eight.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Floor and under is going to be underwater. So I'd
still being the heck out of there.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Absolutely go rewatch those videos of the tsunami that hit
Japan a few hours ago and just you know, just
cleaned everything out, just washed everything away.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, I wouldn't want to be there. Tsunami terrify me.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Anything water related. You live in the right spot, though,
Jared be Okay, I think here water is terrifying. It
is so secure, you know, and it creates damage that
you wouldn't even realize until you're in it. Like the
force that comes with water when.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
It comes, no stopping it. There's no stopping it. It'll
float your car right away and houses in old house.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah. Do you guys have a fear of the ocean?
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Like when whenever I go to the ocean a little bit,
I'm like a healthy fear of it.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Okay, I'll get in, I'll get in and splash around.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
But like if anybody wants to go out to the
deep ocean, I go, no, I don't want deep ocean.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
True story. I've never been to the ocean. So what
as much as I love water and waterfalls, I've never
been to the ocean. Your freshwater goal, Yeah, exactly, you will.
You're going to New York, I am. Yeah, So I
think this will be the first time because we're actually
going to take a ferry underneath to like the Statue
of Liberty and stuff like that. Is that the ocean
will I be in the ocean.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
At that point, you're in a bay much Okay, the
ocean to the ocean.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
So that'll be the first time. But yeah, I've never been,
so I don't know what, but I imagine going out
there and just the vastness of it all would make
me a little uneasy, right, like, what does it stop?
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Stick around?
Speaker 3 (03:21):
A few years I was reading some stuff from some
geological experts saying that there's supposed to be a gigantic
earthquake in the future and Denver is going to become.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
A seaport, so we will see what happens.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I have a boat.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Yeah, the entire continent's supposed to crack in half and
some of them fall into the ocean, and Denver will.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Be a seaport.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
What I know, right, we have a fault line there.
I know we have some fault lines in Colorado.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
I think we do. I know, if you're.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Isn't the Rocky Mountains just a general fault line all
the way down?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
That's where the continent came together.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
I think that's that's just being maybe.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Yeah, we don't know, we're going to be a seaport.
I gotta get a pontoon boat.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Yeah, I can party. Get me a cooler full of
some natty ice, and get ready to party.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Can I join you in that boat shape?
Speaker 4 (04:05):
That's all I'm thinking like seaport.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
What, yeah, you get a swim suit?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
You know what's so funny?
Speaker 3 (04:11):
I got to go to Target after the show today
because Nick Knack bought a bikini top and it doesn't fit.
So guess who gets to return it? I guess who's
got to wander like I don't have time.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
To do go in and say it wasn't my rights.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
You know, it's exactly what I told her this morning.
That's the exact text I said. I can't wait to
tell them it didn't fit me.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Yeah, you know this, you should be just like I'm
too swool.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
B Are you just returning the top?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Just the top, buddy?
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Can you do that? Oh?
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Yeah, she just bought just because they come in and
you buy the bottom because.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
You buy them separate. Yeah you can the match.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Okay, that's funny. I thought you were going to go like, well,
keeping the bottoms they fit.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Well, just just returning the top.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
I just need half my money back.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Yeah it was too.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Big, too big, sadly it's okay.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
How was Fitz yesterday?
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Oh? Oh my gosh, yees, it was great. First of all,
shout out to Fitz and the Tantrums who played a
sold out show at Denver Botannic Gardens last night. But yeah,
Josh and I got to go and sit down with
fits chat with him before the show.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
What a nice guy, super good guy. He was here
in the studios about ten years ago.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
His pictures up on our wall.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Yeah, I remember meeting him when they were here, and yes,
genuine nice guy.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Such a mad talent.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Yeah yeah, And I think one of the things that
I love talking to him about. So he started his
band in his late thirties and then they didn't even
get their first record deal until after he was forty,
and I, you know, can just relate so much to that.
I didn't get my dream job until later in life.
Either worked really hard up until then in.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
A lot of little jobs, right, and that's it.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
Yeah, stop and every one of those jobs. That's the
thing though, is like they all felt like my dream
job when I got them. But when I got this
one is when I was really like, oh my gosh,
I did it, you know, And it wasn't in my twenties,
it wasn't in my thirties. So he and I could
relate on that one note, and it just was so
inspiring to hear him talk about never giving up and
(06:13):
you know, knowing what he stood for, and also really
just being himself. That's one line I won't forget is
He's like, you know, once I really realized that I
just had to be myself and sing the way I sing,
even though it's not what everybody likes. Once I was
true to what I believed in, that's when success really
started to come my way.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Light Shine.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
No, he didn't go that far, didn't go that far,
But I just thought that was a really inspiring message
to deliver people that, you know, true success comes when
you really are yourself and you're not trying to be
anybody else but just everything. He's a really really.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Super tall guy.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
He's so tall.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Yeah yeah, yeah. And then his co singer, I guess the.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
One who knows you know, well, yeah, she is Therms.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
Yeah, and she's from Denver. So what a neat local
tie in to be able to chat about that a
little look at the yeah yeah.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
One of the other cool things that you like to
see is kind of the behind the scenes factor of
just a band traveling because you think of like all
the glitz and the glam that does come with the
fame that they have and yes, I'm sure there's a
lot of that. But he strolled in and he goes,
I'm so sorry, guys, like, I am on two hours
of sleep. He goes, they came from Salt Lake City
yesterday and that's a bus ride through the mountains.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
And he goes, it's.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Swerving through the mountain, is rocking back and forth, and
there's there's noises of everything clanking back. And he goes,
I'm on two hours of sleep. And I'm like, that's
kind of the ugly side. I guess of being a
very well known band that travels the United States in
the world is Man, it just sucks.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
He goes, I don't sleep.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
He was talking about some of the substances he took
to help him sleep and how they didn't work.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
It did not Your Colorado stuff did not work for me.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
No commercial stuff.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Yet it was funny. One of his bandmates to Jeremy,
was saying, like, you ever try and go to use
the bathroom driving through the rocky mountains.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
He was like mad him up in there. You gotta sit.
You definitely got to you gotta sit. At that point.
It doesn't matter the rockies you're taking. You're sitting down.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
It was fun though that uh, that whole interview should
be coming out later today.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Right, all right, and you can go check out some
of the pictures we already put up on Instagram and
in our stories. There's a little snippet of the interview.
Josh got to ask a pretty good question on that,
So there's all kinds of stuff for you to check out. So, yeah, all.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Right, Jeremy, Katie Josh on Facebook and Instagram, and yeah,
we'll get that video up a little later and as
of right now, yeah, check out the picture of how
tall this dude is, Like I feel like he could
have like squeezed both of you and picked you up.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Well, yeah, because I'm six to two, so he's really
exactly he's like six.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
Am then six one.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
That's crazy talk.
