Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jery, Katy, and Josh one hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I was just looking up at the TV and there
was a headline about Denver ranking fifth in fitness in
the country as far as how many people are working
out and getting their fitness on, and I think I
would tend to agree with that. I mean, as you
look around, the state is fairly fit. I think that
depends on.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Maybe if you're looking around at a Walmart.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
I don't know, but yeah, your location depends.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
On your location.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I was trying to be gentle, but yeah, I think
this state is pretty darn fit. I see it every
day when I'm at the rec center, the amount of
people in there working out, and it's so cute to
see the elderly people in They're working out, and I'm
always like rooting them on. I'm like, go you, like,

(00:49):
I want to be you at your age in here,
still getting my fitness on, still moving, still lifting. And
the amount of times that you would catch me just
staring at little old men working out, it's probably far
too many thun necessary. Just yesterday, the cutest little old
man was working out at the rec center right next to.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Me and Katie.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
It's like and he's like the whole time he's just
back and forth, like this back of stretching, you know,
and he's stretching.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
He's really doing something. He's stretching.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
And then he'll go over and and get like on
the cable machine and do like one two and then
wham drop them and then walk away. And it's like
that's what it was, his workout on arms. And then
he goes in the corner and he's just back before
stretching again.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I'm like, you're so damn cute.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
And he was just.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Probably four foot tall and four foot wide as well.
He was just a little little, little portly, little chumpy,
chubby dumpling is what he was. But he's moving, moving,
and I was like, damn it, you're cute.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
You are dorms you.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
I wanted to go up and hug him, like should have.
I like you.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
I like you a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I want to make an instat grand account featuring you
because I feel like it would take off.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Go hold him and be like I want to be you.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yes, like little old man fashion at the gym, full
jeans tucked in like a polo shirt with a belt
and his bright white New Balance shoes on. It's like,
good for you, good support, good for you doing it
and doing it and doing it well. There is a
story out this morning talking about buzzwords that immediately set

(02:27):
off your BS alarm when you.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Hear these buzzwords. I've got this, Katie says a lot
of them.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I'll give you a few of them on the list collaborate.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
How about when you're at working there you refer to
everybody as family.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
You guys are all family. Radio is our family. That
is just the biggest love. It's like, if you were
to get fired, they would replace you immediately with somebody
else in the family.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
You're not your family.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
You are not fan at your work.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Team player. Let's see gas lightings on there? Which is
one that people tend to go to, Uh, synergy, woke influencer.
I'm an influencer, thought leader, growth, mindset, thought leader.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
I know that is that thought leader.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
It's like when you give yourself a self proclaimed title
essentially like I'm the thought leader in this group. Listen,
I'm the thought leader. I've got some great ideas. Oh
that one gets me work life balance, yeah, and holistic approach.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
I don't like that if I'm being completely transparent because
all the other times are if I'm being honest, like
so you lie the rest of the time, Like those
are things I don't like when people preface what they're
about to say next, like you're a big fall.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Yeah, there's a whole list of these and yeah, everyone
of them. Yeah, there's a few on here. I think that,
Katie said.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I do not.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
I don't say any of those except fame. I do say.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Influencer, You say influence.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
We're family.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
We're family besties, whether you like it or not.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Jeremy Katie, let me give you a tongue kills.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
It's because we're family. When you hear you family. All right,
let's dive into PMI.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
We've got your positive, a minus, and something a little
bit interesting to sit you send you on your way
on this Thursday morning with Jeremy, Katie and Josh.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Who's got to pee? I got to pee today?

Speaker 6 (04:31):
You up fireflies by Owl City because fireflies are coming back,
I guess. Over the last couple of decades now, due
to people cutting down trees everywhere, pesticides, drought, and several
other factors, fireflies have been in major decline, almost to
the point of extinction, with some of their species that
they have. They have over one hundred and seventy nine

(04:53):
different species, but many of them were dwindling down to
where people haven't seen fireflies come out night in decades here.
And I remember when I was young, I would go
catch fireflies in Chicago, where I would go spend summers
with my family. We would spend hours getting them in
a little shake them up. They would actually light.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Up, and that's why they're extinct.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
It was like, I don't know, shaking them up as bad,
but them here. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
You just walked outside of North Dakota and they were
everywhere and you never see them. Their lights would go
off and then they disappear, and then their lights go
off and then they disappear.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Really cool thing, especially for kids.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
UH.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
But they've been in major decline.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
But however, for some reason this year, specifically all over
the Midwest, they're making a huge comeback. Scientists are not
one hundred percent sure why they are, but it's a
really really positive thing, UH that they're seeing here because
it just means insect population is coming back as a whole,
and so that means something is happening in the UH.
Drought is leaving. It's not as bad as it used

(05:49):
to be. They can actually find food and shelter and
live in.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
These and they're hitting it. It sounds like that's another thing.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
Their population baby increasing, which is always good.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
The sparks are flying, chair as we need fireflies.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Are they important for some reason if they were to
go extinct?

Speaker 6 (06:07):
Bug and well, I don't know about that, but it's
all part of the bug and insect ecosystem where they
all kind of balance each other out, you know, but
I'm not sure that.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
And put them in your mouth and then your nose glows.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Yeah, they actually that.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
They are the predators of slugs and snails, and some
species are also pollinators, so slugs and yeah, a lot
of they're invasive and so these are their predators and
so they're very important to our ecosystem.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
If they're pollinators, then yes.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
And I was going to say, any bug or animal
or insect that pollinates is a hugely beneficial animal or
insect to have.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
So it's cool.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
It's good to see that they're coming back, especially because
it's really fun to see them. I mean, they're really
really cool summer insect to see when you're all over
the Midwest and I guess you have some of North
Dakota right above us.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
I didn't realize that they were going extinct or.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Less less of them, But once you pointed it out,
I was like, yeah, I guess it's in the minisons.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
I've seen a firefly, so it's.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Been a long time. Yeah, I know you're right.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
Sure.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
I wish we did have something.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
I would put them in my mouth.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Do you guys ever had a thing with slugs growing
up where you collected slugs and put salt on them?

Speaker 4 (07:12):
No, it was nice.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Who does that, Jeremy?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
They didn't have a lot of friends.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
They do? They actually like, do what you do? They phone?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
What did they do? They die? Slug killer slugs are
so gross.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
But yeah, we would put salt on the slugs and
snails and it kind of like disintegrates them and they.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Nobody else.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
It's kind of interesting.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
I shouldn't have brought that up.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
We used to.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
I can't say, yeah, don't say how you used to do?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
We heard Jeremy and every kid hurts in fine, not
the ones we heard.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Because of the slugs.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yeah, all right, I have your minus to. I had
to giggle at this one this morning. This video is
making the rounds. It's an influencer. I'm an influencer.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Her name is Michelle Sky. Sounds more like a porn starter.
She is recovering from a swim that she'd rather forget.
So she was on her instagrams back on July eighth,
and she was near Cape Town, South Africa, and she
decided to take a little dip in the water there,
and she was doing her live stream while she was

(08:28):
in the water, and she's having.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
A great time. It's so fun.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
She's live streaming in a foamy, frothy, cold water. The
fans started commenting on her feed and said, hey.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
That part of the world, they literally.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Dumped their sewage out into the water, so as of
right now, you are swimming in sewage.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
That's disgusting. Were they saying that on the live stream?

Speaker 3 (08:55):
On the live feed?

Speaker 4 (08:58):
It was in her mouth?

Speaker 2 (08:59):
No one of her comments that. She replied back, I
fear I have made a terrible mistake.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Yeah, you think.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
And then she you know, before this, she was talking
about how great her skin looks down there, and how
you know how great she looks, and somebody was commenting, well,
let's see how your skin looks.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Like after this.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
That gets the fresh.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Help Anyway, she posted a few pictures after her little swim,
and she's got like stuff on her guys, Like there's
like crusty brown's on her face.

Speaker 6 (09:34):
Yeah wait wait, like is she growing or is it
like because she dried on her she got out of
the water.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
That's disgusting.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
Oh my gosh, I almost threw up, Like you know,
oh oh, could you imagine.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Toilet?

Speaker 5 (09:52):
Essentially, she was in a frothy TOWI another person's toilet.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
It's one thing if you're swimming in your own toys.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
They were talking about when they dumped some sewage and
stuff into the water, it tends to get like real
frothy and bubbly like that.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
And she was like in it, like that's amazing. It's
like a it's like a party at the clubs. Do that?
She didn't know. So this is why I don't want
to be He's gonna learn.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
Today, right, I understand your fear of the pools and water.
Now I get it.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
I know right, I will probably never get in a
pool again.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Beg water, O, Katie, what's the interesting?

Speaker 5 (10:29):
No?

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Please, don't.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
I need some list?

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Hashtag Listerine Nasty sponsored by Listerine.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
She should be she needs to clean all of this stuff,
all of it.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
Okay, all right, So these this this story coming out
of the Northeastern University. A student is really upset because,
first of all, with the chat gp GPT being released
back in twenty twenty two, I think is when it
came out the biggest thing where you know, schools were like,

(11:05):
wait a minute, students are going to be able to
cheat and this is not okay, right, So then they
implemented all the AI bought, like flags where you can
tell if somebody used chat GPT on a paper and whatnot.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
So they've used it to stop that.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
But the students are really upset because professors are using
chat GPT in their courses now, so they're using chat
GPT to make their syllabus and this is really irritating
the student.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
It's just a syllable, I know.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
But one specific student she actually noticed it because when
she got something from her professor in the document, there
was a part of it that you could tell was
copied from chat GPT because it said make it more specific,
expand on all areas, be more detailed. This isn't proof
reader prompt was in the bet me write that for you. Yeah,

(11:58):
and so the student noticed it, and then she went
back and noticed all other kinds of you know, things.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
That really pointed the red flags. Yeah, the font was
different in places.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
There were a few different things where she was like,
you're using chat GPT a lot. And now she's like,
I'm paying money, good money to go to this university.
I could just ask chat GPT the things you're asking it,
you know, Okay, it's actually starting the university right now.
To get her tuition back. She wants her tuition back
because she's like, I paid good money for live instructors

(12:30):
and you were not giving me that.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
And she found out this.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Isn't She's still teaching in class though, in front of
the students.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
I mean, this is just the syllabus.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
It is, no, but it's also the stuff that they're
you know, using for tests, it's the stuff that they're
using for homework.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
Well, don't you think it's kind of like the same thing.
I mean kind of, Jared, it's kind of like the
same thing. I think you can learn almost anything, almost
anything at a university on like YouTube.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
Now.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Yeah, yes, So I'm struggling with this because my kids are,
you know, just a few years away from college, and
I don't know what to send them off to learn.
I don't know which way to direct them because I
was just reading a thing about how many white collar
jobs are going to be wiped out in the next
five years. Yeah, and amongst various accounting jobs, coding, all
of that.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
So what do you send your kids to learn?

Speaker 5 (13:13):
Well, and even the trades are big, I guess electrician
like needed.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
I just watched a video on how they're three D
printing homes.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Now they're doing entire communities, or they say they you know,
typically it's one hundred and fifty people to build a
house or whatever. They were building these houses with like
four people just monitoring the machines.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
As they built.

Speaker 6 (13:33):
Yeah, but things will always break, even if it's learning
how to fix the machines.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
You know, things will always.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Bring But then they'll have robots that know how to
fix the machines, and the robots will just come over
and fix.

Speaker 6 (13:41):
Well, then we finally have World War three US against
the robots. I know exactly what we do.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Bring it, bring it. I'm just gonna buckets throw on
them short amount.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Wait, that's so smart.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
Honestly, this girl has an argument. I feel I feel
like least she can say, you know, I'm not willing
to pay all this money for the top tier education
when again, it is that they call it academically dishonest activities.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
Which it is something to think about for sure.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah, if the students are.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Allowed to use it, why should the teachers be allowed
to use it? Yeah, for sure, Katie. Oh that'll get
you thinking this morning.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
There you go, there's your PMI with Jeremy, Katie and
