the show a couple days ago. How we were talking
about the stuff that you had on your walls as
a kid, and listener Gabby was listening, she wrote and says, hey,

place above my bed. She said it was the t
Rex one. She said, I also had Spice Girls posters

(00:47):
Michael Jordan Midair from the free throw Line. I remember
that poster, and she said, and some random ferrari that
I was.

were into. You didn't get into it? Were you team
boy band? Foody, something bit weirder. Would love to know.
Keep up the great work. That's from Gabby, she said.

So back in the day, Wheaty's ran this promotion where
you could get three different Wheaties boxes and there were
three different Michael Jordan's posters. Yes, but then if you
flipped them around, you put them all together. They made
one giant poster of him, Dunky, I.

have any girls up on the walls.

Speaker 10 (04:55):

going going in there, but ed growing.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I had one Jenny McCarthy poster that I was allowed
to put up on my walls and it was her
laying naked in like a bed of feathers or whatever.
And I had to beg and beg and beg for
my mom to let me put that up, and she said, yes,
but it has to be behind your door. So most
of the time my door was open, you know, so
it's behind the door just so company didn't see it.

(05:20):
I was like, really, Mom, you think company's coming over
and going directly to my room?

Speaker 11 (05:23):
You see what posters?

Speaker 2 (05:27):
I wonder whatever happened to that Jenny McCarthy boaster And

I had like a five foot picture of Madonna when
she did the Papa doant preach with the Jenes and

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Do it that?

Speaker 11 (05:56):
Yes, sexy picture of Madonna.

Speaker 12 (06:00):
I had Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Breakfast Club, you know,
all those.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Sort of things.

Speaker 10 (06:07):
I had a what do you call it?

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Michael J.

Speaker 8 (06:10):
Fox.

Speaker 12 (06:10):
I was in love with Michael J. Fox, and I
had a big picture on a frame beside my bed.
My cousin came up. I think he was seven or
eight with his friends that stayed in my I had
a little apartment at the top of the property, and
he drew a mustache on my Michael J. Fox, and
I was devastated. I came home and I was strayed
on the intercom to the yelling and carrying on.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
So devastating. Is totally devastated.

Speaker 10 (06:36):
He took it out of the frame and drew it on.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Oh what a little pung.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Tcy.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I gotta ever, I gotta ask you, did you ever
just roll over and kiss that you know picture?

Speaker 10 (06:46):
I know you did, well, probably you did.

Speaker 11 (06:50):
They've got some smooches.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Hey, don't feel bad. I did the same thing to McCarthy.

Speaker 13 (06:54):
I know you did.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Casey.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Thank you for the laughs. You have a great day.
What a good call. Here's Rob Hi, Robert, welcome to
the show. Good morning, Good morning, buddy. Would you have
up on your walls when you were growing up?

Speaker 13 (07:07):
So?

Speaker 7 (07:07):
I had an Optimist Prime poster. I had a.

Speaker 8 (07:10):
Randy Johnson thought out. I had a John Elway picture
back when he won the Super Bowl in ninety seven.
I had a Lamborghini Diablo and a Nissan Skyline R
thirty four from the Too Fast to Furious and.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
An for you on that time.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Good call, Robert.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
I had a funny poster of Optimist Prime as well.
I think it was him and then a couple other autobots.
But on the back side of that poster, Robert, was
the the sexy picture of Megan Fox and I would
turn it over when my parents were in my room.
But on the other side I could keep looking at
that one.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
And then he never left his room, Robert. That's where
it all star.

Speaker 7 (07:47):
Has the total of the Camaro open.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
That's the it's iconic, Robert.

Speaker 11 (07:53):
Did you have any did you have any sexy women
up on your walls or was it all Elway Prime
and Optimist Ye.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
May have not both exactly what Josh just said.

Speaker 8 (08:04):
I'm me or may not have had the Camaro Soto
as well.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
It's so good man, I'm going to make that my
desk top background right now on my work Robert. Very
funny stuff, buddy, Thank you for calling. Have a great day.
We're talking about the posters and stuff that you had
on your walls when you were growing up. Here's Dakota. Hi, Dakota, Hey,
how's it going, y'all? Well, we're super dupes. What'd you

(08:27):
have on your walls?

Speaker 3 (08:29):
So?

Speaker 9 (08:29):
I actually grew up in Southwest Florida and the alternative
rock station down there always used to have a summer
concert series with like three major headline bands and then
like a local band, and then they would do it
for Christmas too, So they always put out these really
cool banners that they just advertised for you know, what
was going on. And I would either my dad, because

(08:53):
he used to take me. He used to hang out
in the back and talk to like the bouncers and
the bodyguard and.

Speaker 10 (08:57):
All those people.

Speaker 9 (08:58):
He would always convince them to let me have a banner,
and that's what I used to put all over my walls.
They were like longer than like my wingspan and probably
about like half my height, and it would have all
of the artists that played at that concert and then
the concert series and the radio station and stuff like that.

Speaker 10 (09:18):
So so I was like, you know, whatever, because.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
I'm a nineties alternative slut more or less. I love
nineties alterna. But then like, what great memories with your dad?
You know, to have that up on your wall and
and cherish that that's really neat.

Speaker 9 (09:35):
Yeah, he couldn't get me backstage to meet band, so
he's like, the best I could do is bring you
at least banners home.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Where are they now?

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (09:42):
Do you still have them?

Speaker 9 (09:44):
I think I may have some in storage. We have
I've got tubs that I haven't looked through in years.
So I mean, this was.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
So after put them up in the garage for that stuff. Dakota,
thank you for sounding off this morning. Great call.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
Yeah, I'm agree with you, guys.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
See you later. Quick recap. We're talking what you had
up on your walls growing up in your childhood bedroom.
If you want to sound off three oh three, six
nine one, sixteen forty nine, I'll get you in the studios.
Here's Nicole Hi, Nick Knack, Hey, Hey you what do
you have on your walls?

Speaker 14 (10:21):
Oh my gosh. Okay, so anything from Tiger Beat magazine
I had, like, and then.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
That'd be like Jonathan Taylor Thomas and yes.

Speaker 14 (10:33):
Nat see and think all of those yep, Devin Sala, yes,
Devin swa. Oh yes, you do you remember the show sequest,
Like there was a guy.

Speaker 11 (10:46):
Johnathon Jonathan not Jonathan Jackson.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Was it Jonathan Jackson?

Speaker 8 (10:50):
Was that his name jack?

Speaker 14 (10:53):
It was another Jonathan though, I think it was.

Speaker 12 (10:55):
It was a Jonathan.

Speaker 11 (10:56):
I can see his face right now.

Speaker 14 (10:58):
Yes, Oh my gosh. Yes. And then the other one
that I remember.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yes, yes, oh my god, I'm looking him up. Yes,
he was in like a buttload of stuff in the
Remember that guy? All right, I'm sorry, go ahead.

Speaker 14 (11:14):
Oh and then okay, this is associally those gotten milk poster. Yes,
I also remember to I think the guy from the
Notebook had one, and I'm pretty sure that was yep, yep, absolutely.

Speaker 11 (11:30):
You know, and the Tiger Beat and the Teen Beat
knick Knack, like do you remember they had the full
on posters that they had like three in each issue,
but then like every single like individual page.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Was like a little poster for us that's what I mean.

Speaker 14 (11:44):
Yes, I thought I made all the collages. I was
trying to find a poster in my room because I
know I have, Like, if I find it, I'll send.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
It to you all.

Speaker 14 (11:50):
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Yeah, I say, there.

Speaker 11 (11:52):
Wasn't a free inch of space on my wall because
each it was covered in posters from Tiger.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
And to beat.

Speaker 14 (11:59):
Yep, it's so funny.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
So relatable. Thank you for the call, Nicole, Bye, see
you later. That Jonathan guy was in Sidekicks with Chuck Norris.

Speaker 11 (12:09):
That's yeah, he was in so many things.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
You think I would I had a Chuck Norris poster
on my way. You should have a show call us.
What posters did you have up on your walls? Growing up?
Three oh three six nine one one mix three oh
three six nine one sixteen forty nine. Phone lines are
lighting up like crazy? How do you pronounce your name?
But Bania? Vania, Bania, Hi, Bania, welcome to the show.

Speaker 15 (12:36):
Hi, it's Vania with a V and like your knee.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Oh okay, Josh gonna be on the street. So Vanya,
all right, Vanya, what did you have up on your walls?

Speaker 15 (12:45):
I was kind of like the last person I had
a lot of bands things I had so much in
sync and Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys, like my walls
were plastered. But I also have the most adorable little
cat hanging off a branch that that hang in there.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Yes, yes, iconic poster, iconic.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
And it really and I tired you.

Speaker 15 (13:07):
I was thinking I was listening to the last color.
I think y'all were thinking about Jonathan Taylor Thomas because
he was also on my walls.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Yes, yeah, JTT JTT was it a good looking dude?
Good looking dude. Thank you for calling in and sounding off.
You have a great day, Thank you bye. The motivational
ones I had went up on my wall. It was
the mansion. It was big in like the early or
checked that late eighties, early nineties. It was the mansion
like on the edge of a cliff by the ocean,

(13:33):
and it had like a five car garage and there
was like Lamborghinis and BMW's and Porsches in there, and
it said justification for a higher education. Oh yeah, and
if you were really bougie, if your parents were really rich,
they would buy you that poster and they'd have light
bulbs installed in the taillights of all the cars, so
then you could turn it on at night and all
the tail lights would glow in that poster.

Speaker 11 (13:55):
You had, like the first vision board that's like an.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Og vision justification for a higher Oh my gosh, you're right,
Oh my god. For all the joking about vision boards
that I do, I had Laurie, Laurie, Laurie.

Speaker 16 (14:11):
Yes, I'm here, there you are.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
What do you have up on your walls? Growing up?

Speaker 16 (14:15):
So I had like one wall of all of the
American male posters. If you guys remember those.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Oh I don't hold on, explain that. What's the American
male posters?

Speaker 16 (14:27):
They were just all like me, and you know, on
tight jeans and muscles and just all different guys. I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
I think walls too. I'm thinking I like it.

Speaker 16 (14:39):
Yeah. And then my other side of my wall was
I love the hairband eighties, so like Metallica and Motley Cruz.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Yeah yeah, And that was.

Speaker 16 (14:50):
The other side. And then I always had the biggest
crush on Axel Rose and like I told my mom
that's who I'm gonna marry when I grow up.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Did it happen?

Speaker 16 (14:59):
And she was like no, but he looks like today.
I was like I'd probably divorce him.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
No, I'm kidding, No, Harsh, that's funny. Did you find
the American Mail?

Speaker 11 (15:12):
No, they're easy, and you're right. It just showed, like,
you know, the typical American mail with his shirt off
and like four of them all hanging out together.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Because why not, that's.

Speaker 11 (15:23):
Exactly how that is, like very Abercrombie, because yes, it's
a very Abercrombie and Fitch type.

Speaker 16 (15:28):
Of old school Yeah, you know.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Stuff right there, Laurie, we're gonna go let you cool off.
Here's Shelby, Hi, Shelby, Shelby. Alright, we're excited to have
you on the air with us. All right, So what
was on your walls growing up?

Speaker 4 (15:50):
So?

Speaker 5 (15:51):
I was that weird one? I had like Avenge, Summon Fold,
the Good Charlotte, like all of the like darker bands.
And then I had another wall that was just nothing
but Corky's.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Corky's in Good Charlotte.

Speaker 11 (16:10):
That's a weird coming some good music though, that's not
the weird about Good Charlotte.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
I like it.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
Yes, you listen to them and I love them?

Speaker 3 (16:18):
Oh so do I? So do I, Shelby, They're so good.
Oh my gosh, that's a good mix. There you go.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
One of my music beds. I use.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
I love this song.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Makes me want a pet of Corky.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
You're the most amazing creatures on the planet, I promise.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Oh no, I've got a daughter who is you know,
ten or whatever, and she's really into Corky's. So it's
you and ten year old Shelby.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
Yeah, well not Shelby.

Speaker 6 (16:44):
They have the Corky's and Foco, the whole thing where
you bring a bunch of Corky's.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Have you Have you been to that one?

Speaker 5 (16:51):
I've gone for the last three years. Unfortunately, last year
I had to have my Corky put down for complications.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Oh sad.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
He was almost ten and he was great, but his
readers never told us that he had potential for having
this disease, and unfortunately it progressed literally within a week.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
You still could have brought him. Oh no, you could
just put him in a wagon.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
No, I mean I thought about it, but he was
just he was so sad at the end, and you
could tell, and he was just so frustrated with himself.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Too.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
Cute little button bottles though, when they're up there and
folks cute, you love it.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Shelby I love this call so good. You have a
great day.

Speaker 5 (17:41):
Well, thank you so much, Shelby.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
I love her all the time?

Speaker 15 (17:46):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (17:47):
We can do a couple more. What'd you have up
on your walls? Growing up? Three oh three six nine
one one makes three oh three six nine one sixteen
forty nine. Here's Samantha, Hi, Samantha, Hello, Hello, Hello to you.
What'd you have on the walls?

Speaker 13 (18:02):
So similar to a previous caller, I had all of
those magazines like Tiger be like Kids, like those Cringey
Team magazines, and the magazines that came with the poster.
I would put those on my wall. A lot of celebrities,
a lot of hot guys. But what's worse slash funny
is we would bring all those magazines to camp over

(18:25):
the summer and we would fill those posters, like our
walls with those posters I camp. Yeah, like every summer,
we would bring at many magazines as possible, and we
would do like those fun tests that they had in
those magazines, and all those posters we would just fill
them like on our lockers, on our windows, on our walls.

(18:48):
It was a lot to look at, but.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
It was remember those Scholastic magazines that always had the
posters in there, and then you'd have the the image
on the back. It would be like a messy room
or something. You had to find like all the little
images within that picture, like the sock or a cupcake
or whatever. Those were always the best. Those were so fun. Samantha,
Thank you for the memories. You you're rock star. Thanks

(19:12):
for calling today. Thank you.

Speaker 5 (19:14):
I have a good day.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
You have a good day.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Bye. What was the name of those magazines Cholastic? Daniel? Hello, Hello,
weren't they the scholars? No, that was the book Fair
they were, Yeah, the magazines. Hold on, Daniel, we're trying
to figure out something.

Speaker 11 (19:30):
Do you remember the magazines with the the things in
the back that you got to figure out the messy room?

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Was it highlights? Light Highlights? That's what it was, Highlights, Highlights.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
It's either Highlights or Mad magazine where you had to
fold the.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Back of God, I had the Mad magazines too. I
forgot about that Mad magazine. Okay, I did have a
few crack magazines I had. Those are the ones I
had to hide from my mom.

Speaker 7 (19:55):
Yeah, not cracked, Sorry, not crack. Crack.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yeah, crack got my walls always over there licking and
sniffing the walls. All right, all right, buddy, what did
what did you have on your walls?

Speaker 10 (20:09):
So?

Speaker 7 (20:09):
I had a irock Ze. Do you remember that.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Car Hell's to the Yes, that is a badass car.

Speaker 10 (20:15):
That is I.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
And then I had a Kiss Destroyer.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
I don't know that one, the Kiss Destroyed Simmons. Oh
the band. Your phone's kind of cutting out.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
I'm sorry, sorry, guys. And then I'm super proud of this.
I had a Listen.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Milano from Who's the Boss? Yeah, one of my first
crushes ever, the very first.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
And then I moved on to like Tiffany Amberthief and
that was my next post. And then when I got
when I got to thirty years old, I got Britney Spears.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Yeah, a boy, you're growing up, Daniel, Yeah, And I
forgot about my Lista Milana.

Speaker 6 (20:51):
She was.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
She was like every boy's crush back.

Speaker 7 (20:54):
She had a fitness video and everything.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Oh buddy, okay, guys, joy Deep you really did. Man,
I gotta look that up a little bit. I think
it's just kind of creepy now if I'm looking that up.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
But Daniel, I don't look it up anymore, at least
on the computer.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Yeah, yeah, thanks for the call, buddy. Good one, good one.
Good one is a Arran Tyron Terran Tarn Taran at
my heart good morning.

Speaker 17 (21:18):
Yeah, yeah, I have that same posts. There's two back
to boys and think I had all the magazine ones
that you always got, like the little small one and
then you got the big ones.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Yes, yeah, yes, any Lisa Frank stuff. Did you have
any Lisa Frank up on your walls?

Speaker 4 (21:33):
No?

Speaker 16 (21:34):
You know that was more like the folders.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
Yeah, okay, yeah, and like.

Speaker 17 (21:39):
The little uh well actually no, aur like pencil.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Say that again.

Speaker 17 (21:46):
For the pencil boxes. We would always get like the
gum wrappers, and like you wrapped your whole entire pencil
box and gum wrappers. I don't know what was about
taking like the foil apart and putting the foil on.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
The that's funny, that's weird. I remember you did that.

Speaker 17 (22:02):
Oh my god, I thought.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
I decorated my textbooks. That was like the big girl thing.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
I didn't do anything with gum wrappers.

Speaker 17 (22:10):
And then I had like Spice girls post there on
the on the.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Wall too, Jerry Spice.

Speaker 17 (22:16):
And then I had a friend that she was all
Britney Spears, so everything was like Britney Spears. And I
don't know if she had like a thing with Pepsi,
so it's like Pepsi.

Speaker 9 (22:25):
And Britney Spears was like all her room and.

Speaker 17 (22:27):
Then she even had a white size cut out in
her room.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Of Britney Spears.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
She's a fan.

Speaker 17 (22:35):
She was like super obsessed. Sounds like the other lady
that was like all of her bands and everything the bands.
I had a friend that was like that, and she
got me into like Warped Tour. So there was definitely
like an era where I looked very emo.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
I love that well, I didn't, Daren, thank you for
the did you were not cool? Is that the same
as Goth?

Speaker 6 (23:00):
No?

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Emo is not the same as God. It's very similar
different baggy and skinny. Emo was very skinny, guys.

Speaker 11 (23:06):
I was and Goth were very similar.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
I Jerry, I was going to say, how many girlfriends
have theater?

Speaker 7 (23:13):
Are you?

Speaker 8 (23:13):
Guys?

Speaker 2 (23:14):
I was not shopping at hot topic? Hi Angie, Hi,
Hey would you have up on your walls? Growing up, I.

Speaker 10 (23:21):
Had a Hulk Cogan, Ultimate Warriors, Jake.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
The Snake, Sergeant Slaughter.

Speaker 16 (23:31):
Of course I had to have new kids on the block.

Speaker 11 (23:33):
Oh, yeah, you're gonna keep going, Jim Duggan for me,
the Undertaker, Andre and John.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
You could just go and she said, hull Cogan, may
he rest. Those are good ones, Angie, thank you for calling.
All right, justin you get the final word on this.
What you have up on the walls.

Speaker 7 (23:56):
So I had I went through stages. So when I
was younger, I had like Star Wars, and then Harry
Potter came out with SpongeBob, had some SpongeBob stuff. But
then I just remembered, like, so we had a two
bedroom house when I was growing up. So my girl,
my girlfriend, my sister, and I shared a bedroom and

(24:20):
she also had like Britain Spears and Christina Aguilera, which
was I guess pretty dope, and now that I look
back at it, but then I think the earliest thing
that I had on my wall, I got pissed in
my parents and I drew a door because I was
gonna run away.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
You kept running into it.

Speaker 7 (24:44):
I think I thought the door would actually open.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
It didn't run through the wall.

Speaker 7 (24:53):
Seven and three quarters.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
You drew a door.

Speaker 7 (24:59):
You're a funny guy. Then my parents like they framed it.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
So your door, Oh, that's hilarious.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
I think my biggest concern with this entire phone call, though, Justin,
is at the very beginning, when you slipped up and
said your girlfriend and girlfriend. I'm not going to let
that go ahead and put you on hold. Sorry, he
can't get past Justin, thank you for the call. I
guess it was a different time.

Speaker 11 (25:21):
And then he said you shared your room with your sister.

Speaker 15 (25:23):
And then.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Yeah, door, Justin, you might need to seek some therapy.
They we appreciate you calling
