(00:02):
Good morning listener, family. Thisis just on just in the mess.
I wanted to get on here becausethis is a it's a pretty special day
to many people. It's the dayof Pentecost, and many people celebrated those
many years ago on the day ofPentecost. After Jesus's resurrection, God gave
(00:27):
the Holy Spirit to whoever believed inhim, and that same holy Spirit on
the day of Pentecost back then isthe same Holy Spirit that is available to
any of us who believe in Himnow. And so, you know,
(00:49):
I never realized the importance or eventhe meaning behind like Pentecost I heard.
I had heard of it before, but you know, I'm learning and now
it's important to me. So Iwanted to read a little bit of scripture.
It's in the Book of Acts, specifically chapter number one and two.
(01:17):
But the specific verses I wanted toread was let's see if I can pull
it up here, alrighty, Soit's starting in chapter one of Acts,
verse number four. So Acts chapterone, verse four. It says,
(01:47):
on one occasion, while he meaningJesus, while he was eating with them,
he gave them this command, donot leave Jerusalem, but wait for
the gift my Father promised, whichyou have heard me speak about. For
John baptized with water, but ina few days you will be baptized with
(02:07):
the Holy Spirit. Then they gatheredaround him and asked him, Lord,
are you at this time going torestore the kingdom of Israel? And then
he said to them, it isnot for you to know the times or
(02:29):
dates the Father has set by hisown authority. But you will receive power
when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in
Jerusalem and all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
And this was after Jesus's resurrection fromthe dead, once Jesus ascended into
(03:04):
heaven. The moment after that, the disciples gathered all of them into this
one house. And then like arushing wind, a violent, rushing wind
sound was all around them all ofa sudden, and there were tongues like
(03:30):
fiery flames, and each fiery flamedtongue rested on each of the disciples,
and they began to speak in differenttongues as the Spirit enabled them. And
I believe that is in Acts chaptertwo, verses one through four. Thank
(03:51):
you Holy Spirit, because I justkind of recited that off of memory,
so you can go back in yourown Bibles and you know, check me
on that, but I just wantedto say, if you can really just
imagine how that truly like looked tothe disciples, like fiery, fiery flame
(04:14):
tongues just surrounding them and then thisviolent, windy gush of wind sound like
just Oh, God is so awesome. He is so cool. And I'm
just so grateful for his Holy Spiritthat he gave us, because the Holy
(04:36):
Spirit is a comforter, He's thehelper. And there's been so many times
where I've just needed Jesus to hugme while I've been crying or sad or
just in despair, suffering, orwhatever the case may be, and He's
(04:59):
been faithful to comfort me every time. You know, it's something that you
can just it's like a knowing. It's faith. You know, you can't
see him, you can't feel himlike physically a touch, but you just
believe and hope and have faith inyour heart that He's with you and that
(05:29):
his words are true and that everythingthat he has said will come to pass
and a lot of what has beenforetold and prophesied, it has come to
pass. I think we can agreethat a lot of things concerning like the
(05:51):
end times, a lot of thosethings are happening already. But today is
a special day, and from thisday going forward, I'd like to just
(06:12):
give God praise for every Pentecost dayevery year, because I honestly I didn't
know what Pentecost was, you know, the meaning behind it. But now
as i'm you know, getting olderand purposely seeking him out and purposely trying
(06:33):
to learn his word and prepare myself, you know what I'm saying, because
that's what the word is for. It's for our benefit, It's for our
teaching and for our help. AndI want to, like, even whenever
(06:55):
I don't have the want to readit, I pray to Jesus to give
me the want to. And Heis so faithful. He's he's a friend
to anybody who needs it, youknow. So I'm thankful for, you
know, the suffering or the lonelinessor the sadness or the unjust treatment or
(07:17):
whatever it may be that is likeuncomfortable to me in the natural. I'm
grateful for those things because if anything, that pushes me closer to Him.
Because everybody, everyone in the world, any human or mere man. You
(07:41):
cannot put all of your trust ina mere man. It's like that verse
that says, why gain the wholeworld and lose your soul? You know,
Like I'm not sure where that's at, but it just popped up into
(08:01):
my head, and you know,I'm to the point to where I just
say, you know, take theworld, give me Jesus, because just
from experience, everything else is sinkingsand, everything else will eventually leave you
empty. But Jesus is the wellthat does not ever run dry. And
(08:28):
I'm tired of sitting at empty wells, you know what I mean. It
just it leaves me empty too.And how can I care for my babies
if I'm empty? How can Icare for anyone who needs my help?
How can I care for myself? So I just want to praise God and
(08:52):
say thank you God for giving usyour precious Holy Spirit to comfort us,
to help us in everything that wedo in this life. Once we die,
we are resurrected by the Holy Spirit, the same Holy Spirit that resurrected
(09:13):
Jesus. You know, I've heardlike the Holy Spirit he's not mentioned enough.
He doesn't really get as much creditas he should, and I love
the Holy Spirit because I've also heardthat the Holy Spirit does not speak of
(09:35):
himself, He only speaks of whathe hears, and such humility, such
like if you just look in ourBible and look at all the fruits of
the Holy Spirit, it's just amazingto me. And I want those fruits.
I want the Holy Spirit to growand increase those fruits within me because
(10:03):
so much blessing that I've received sinceknowing the Holy Spirit, since he began
working, you know, performing thisgood work in me, and he is
faithful to finish it as I havewelcomed him every day. Good morning,
Jesus, I love you, HolySpirit. Please help me. Please help
(10:26):
me do a good job with mykids. Please help me take any bad
things out of my heart that Idon't know what's there. Please help me
with my tasks today. Help mebe close to you. Give me the
want to pray to you and seekyou out and read my word, you
(10:48):
know, like sometimes I don't wantto. And that's normal where we have
that sinner nature still where humans, and that is completely normal, understands because
he was a man as well.He was fully man fully God, but
he faced all the same temptations thatwe face, and he still yet was
(11:16):
sinless, lived a perfect life.He had to to be able to be
an acceptable sacrifice for man, forus to be saved for eternity and get
(11:37):
to go to Heaven, have thatsecond chance, you know, Like that's
just that's grace. That's amazing grace, what a gift, you know what
I mean. And that alone rightthere just makes me want to just be
good to people, be good tomyself, you know. And I just
(12:01):
had to get on here to bragabout the Holy Spirit because he's my best
friend. And he is a bestfriend whoever is welcoming of him and wants
him and believes in him and needshim and knows they need him. The
Holy Spirit is God's spirit. It'sthe spirit of truth, the spirit of
(12:26):
God. And I just love Jesus, I love God. I love the
Holy Spirit. It's the Trinity. It's three separate beings, three separate persons,
but they are all God, yousee, the Father, the Son,
(12:50):
and the Holy Spirit. And Ido believe. I think it was
in Acts chapter one, Acts Chapterone, verse eight, and it says,
but you will receive power when theHoly Spirit comes on you. That's
(13:13):
Acts chapter one, verse eight. And I love that so much because without
the Holy Spirit, without Jesus, apart from him, we can do absolutely
nothing. And I know that tomyself. You know, I've tried to
do things in my own strength andsometimes it's worked out. And you know,
(13:35):
God has given me what I wanted, and I soon realized that,
Okay, I got what I wanted, but I was miserable and I ended
up, you know, getting whatI wanted, but it truly was not
something that was good for me.And I realized quickly I didn't want that.
And then whenever He, you know, makes our plans not work out
(13:58):
either way, we come to therealization that we need His Holy Spirit to
help us every day to make usmore like Jesus. I love you,
family, and as I learn,I want to share what I learned.
(14:18):
Thank you guys. Bye bye,
