(00:01):
Today on jet Set Dynasty, ourrecap of Week six, and then we've
got a special treat for you,a way too early rookie draft for the
twenty twenty four people, I think, for the new rookies coming in.
Ready, let's go, let's go, let's go go. Hello, everybody,

(00:49):
Welcome back to jet Set Dynasty Football. Today is Tuesday, October tenth,
seventeenth, not tenth. That waslast week. I'm Brian, and
we got more injuries, but they'renot as big of deals. Yes,
big names go down, but it'snothing too severe, even crazy, but
it's more of just a couple ofweeks than anything. So so yeah,

(01:14):
so today we're gona talk about someinjuries real quick. We're gonna hit hit
the highlights of the of the week, and then we're gonna do a wrap
up. We're gonna do a waytoo early mock draft of the twenty twenty
four rookies. I watched a lotof college football this week. Yeah,
so I really wanted to dive in. I'm excited to see where this goes.
So yeah, it's I've been watchinga lot of it too. I

(01:34):
think we're gonna talk a lot aboutMichael Pennox Junior. Yes, and uh
so I'm not somebody who sits andwatches football Saturday through Sunday. I can't
do that. It's a lot ofsitting for me. I need my Saturday
full stuff. And then I keepup on my phone. This is one
weekend. I'm like, I'm justsitting down. I'm having a lazy weekend.
I'm just gonna watch football all weekend. And it's fun, isn't it.
I have opinions. Oh I likeopinions. Well let's uh, let's

(01:57):
leave those opinions for the end.So injury wise, Christian McCaffrey, what
was he o? Bleak? Okay? That's why I remember, because I
was like, walk, God,what is it now? It was like
obleak okay? I heard I heardno knee, I heard no bottom,
Like yeah yeah yeah, nothing belowthe waist. Yeah. So he may
play this week still, but hedid leave the game. Can't believe they
lost the Browns And that's a toughone. We'll talk about that a little

(02:22):
bit later. Yeah, and thenDeebo got banged up. That was a
shoulder for Depot, I think Ibelieve. So. So those are the
two big ones right now. Andthen David Montgomery. Yeah out probably another
week. It will probably be CraigReynolds this week. I is it that
the name? Right? Yeah,Craig Reynolds correct, who had Block of

(02:43):
the Year. By the way,I was watching the clip from Hard Knocks
from a couple of years ago doingthe whole boards like can't what will we
lose our minds if we get ridof the skuy? Yeah, we don't
want to lose this guy like offensiveblind man will come up to you and
be like, why did why doyou cut this dude? Yeah, that's
that's my favorite clip because like it'sreally cool. It's really cool, and
it's like that's the part about HardKnocks that's like, I'm kind of glad

(03:05):
they took that part out because thereis kind of a messed up side of
just watching people get cut, butthen you get those kind of good things
on the opposite side. So that'stough, right, That's a tough type.
That's different than like watchually told mewalk in and be like, hey,
your dream's dead came back fai andthen summer music, Big piano bowl,
right, Yeah, as opposed tobeing like can we afford to lose
this guy, and they're like, this guy's everything we stand for. Yeah,
like you can't get rid of them, So which makes you think.

(03:28):
I'm like, oh, they're justgonna they have this opportunity. Even if
Jamior gives comes back, they don'ttrust him enough to just give him the
workload. So I was talking aboutit off air. That's a big debate
for me on I have a topwaiver priority. Who do I pick?
Do I go with Craig Reynolds?Do I go with Jordan Mason? Yeah,
because there's a chance that McCaffrey plays, I think Reynolds is gonna get
a hard fifteen carries probably this inthis game. Yeah, I think that

(03:53):
Jordan Mason is my inclination, justbecause I think you're right that McCaffrey has
a higher chances coming back. ButI just think that Jordan Mason is a
better back, Like just when youlook between him and Reynolds, he may
not have the opportunity if if McCaffreycomes back. But I just got a
funny feeling that they may want tobe careful with McCaffrey this week because I

(04:15):
don't think you should play You areway too deep into a very solid run
right now. You can't take anyreinjury. Yeah, I mean it's a
it's a they have got. It'sthe Monday night game. They play the
Vikings like it's a game you shouldwin without McCaffrey. I know you probably
don't ever look at it that way, but they could win that game with
just Ayu. I think, yeah, I would agree. I would absolutely

(04:36):
agree with that. Ian Kennel saltytoo. He hasn't been showing a whole
lot besides the three touch had thatthree touchdown game, but and that was
basically between those two, you probablyhave enough to win that game. Yeah,
I agree. Uh yeah. Luckilythese were big name injuries that impacted
last week, but they'll seem tobe real long term injuries. So same

(04:57):
with David Montgomery. What was hisinjury? I don't even remember now,
I was blanked out, But thatone is also not incredibly long term.
Montgomery's looks amazing this year. He'sa touchdown every week, guarantee. He's
an easy like seventy five yards ina touchdown guaranteed, like thirteen point minimum.
Yeah, just what we said lastyear or what we said in the
preseason about him, like he's gonnabe a pretty good He's not he's not.

(05:18):
He's not Jamal Williams from the otherfrom last year, but he's you're
closer. He doesn't keep getting injured. Yeah, he's at the pace where
he can score twenty touchdowns this year. Yeah, which would be wild.
But yeah, we keep saying it. They didn't just give him three years,
like ten million a year for himto sit on the bench and just
watch Jami or Gibbs play football,Like, yeah, it was never gonna

(05:39):
happen never ever, ever. Butyeah, in terms of other injuries,
that's really those are kind of thebig ones. I think I'm just looking
through. Uh. In terms ofsignings, Julio Jones got signed, I
guess that's big news. So yeah, that is very recent news. Yeah,
that just happened, but it's cool. I kind of hope Wio get
the Super Bowl out of it,because I still do like the Eagles to

(06:00):
win the Super Bowl. I probablygot into my head probably would say the
Niners. I would say the Eaglesare maybe the team I want to see
at this point. The Giants justsuck. I can't even I can't root
for them to win the division atthis point. Oh yeah, oh,
they had never had a chance tothe Super Bowl again. Uh, yes,
it's cool. He's not gonna He'llhave that same kind of role that
he did in Tampa Bay. Itwas like, maybe he got just a

(06:21):
touchdown on accident once or twice, but you're not starting him in fantasy.
The other injury that we didn't talkabout was Trevor Lawrence Gott. He was
knocked out of the game with aknee injury that also doesn't seem to be
long term, but could impact thisweek because they have the short week.
They're playing Thursday night. Who arethey playing again? They are playing another
football teams, not the Washington footballteam. Not the Washington football team.

(06:42):
I wish they went back to that, if we're being honest, really,
I Loki kind of liked the Washingtonfootball team because in my head it was
like, if you think of likesoccer or the other football the other they
call them like clubs. It's likethe club, like, this is the
our football team. And I'm like, I kind of like it if you
think of it that way. Theyplay the Saints on Thursday. That's gonna

(07:05):
be a gross game. It's gonnabe back. I would probably pick the
Saints in that one. But yeah, that's kind of where we're at.
Nothing. They're not sure if heplays this week, but he may just
you know, but it's just theshort week is the confusing or is the
scary part? Or CJ. Beatheartis the backup? Yes, no,

(07:28):
I don't think you bench either ofthose guys. I think Beatheart is a
good enough replacement that he'll almost asolid eight catches a game. Yeah,
I'm yeah, I agree. Iwould not bench either of those. Okay,
so let's let's talk about some somehighlights from from last week. Really
kind of a I mean, thebiggest shocker of the week was the Browns

(07:49):
beating Yeah, well that, ohthat's another injury Anthony Richardson, Yeah,
possibly going to the r nothing confirmed, But I just want to talk about
this because this blew my mind.I was watching Red Zone and I saw
Michael Pittman catch his long pass andI swore on my life. I was
like, nice catch, Alec Piersbecause I was like, I'm like,

(08:13):
only Alec Pierce is the only personon that team with that size that gets
away from people that bit like yeahthat far and nope, pops number eleven.
I was like, Michael Pittman's havinga year, dude. It was
that's my part for that one, just doubting Michael Pittman. Yeah, I
mean Minshew through for three hundred yardsand three interceptions. Yeah, what fifty

(08:33):
three times fifty five dro thirty thirtythree of fifty five. I mean there
was no run game to be seen. Go on, Uncle Rico. Yeah,
I mean it's crazy, there's somewin, but it was fun.
There's a stat like, uh,Minshew is like tow and when he start
or sorry, oh and two whenhe's a starter, but to and when
he comes off the bench for aninjury. Yeah, so they should just

(08:54):
like start like Sam Ellinger for thefirst like dry, wait for him to
throw a pick, be like allright, man, come on, here
we go. But yeah, Imean that was that was cool. He's
he's having a hell of a year. I just don't think there's a ton
of like sexy thing, especially nowif Anthony Richard's gonna be done for the
year. It's not super fun.I am officially on injury concern watch for

(09:16):
Anthony Richrison for his career. Yeah, but this is the way that this
injury has been worded is that hecould come back but this having the surgery
now, especially him being a veryyoung twenty one right now, Yeah,
it could help him prolong it withthis injury. So this seems like more
precautionary tale. And if that's thetruth, I respect the decision. Yeah,

(09:39):
but I mean he's gotten hurt inwhat this is week six that we
just finished. He got one concussion, one shoulder, one shoulder, and
now this, yeah, like threeinjuries. And I get it. He's
playing hard. Maybe he'll learn toplay a little bit safer, but I
just want him to be on thefield because he's electric. He's so fun
to watch. Man, he's freakingelectric. If they get like Michael Pittman

(10:01):
and then a rookie receiver to pairwith Josh Downs and Jonathan Taylor is gonna
be there and the line's playing better, that's an offense that I want to
keep watching. Yeah, this wasrealistically the story of the week is like
this was the week of upsets, like the Jets speak the Eagles, which
was a shocker. We talked aboutthe Browns beating the the Niners and then

(10:22):
the Bills barely beat the Giants barely. But there were some big names that
went down the in terms of scoring. It was a bad This is not
the gambling podcast, but they theunder hit like on all games except for
two I think this week, whichis absolutely insane. But there's just so
much upsets, so much low scoring, nonsensory whatever the hell. The Jets

(10:46):
game was. Yeah, the Jetsgame was wild. Do we want to
start with that one? I mean, yeah, let's talk about it,
because I think the most impressive partof this for the Jets was that a
lot of their defense was out,Like, I don't think Sauce played Sauce
and their other I'm blanking on theother corners, Kobe, Kobe Bryant.
Is that that one? No,that's for Seattle. They're out their top

(11:09):
two quarterbacks and are still above allelse, still playing Zach Wilson. Yeah,
I mean Zach Wilson is not playingLike honestly, you look at these
stats and you go, how didthey win this game? Wilson threw for
one hundred and six yards, notouchdowns, no picks. Bresol had twelve
carries for thirty nine yards. GarrettWill said it catches for ninety yards,
Like, how do you look atthat? And then you look and say,

(11:31):
so, well, yeah, GarretWilson contributed what ninety to what one
hundred and sixty was one eight halfhalf? Yeah, half. I mean
the story was that Jalen Hurts throughthree interceptions, He's now to seven on
the year, which is more thanhe had all of last year. Yes,
so ball security is are concern forthe Eagles, the red zone offense.
We saw Kelsey get pissed off aboutthat. I I'm not like super

(11:56):
worried about the Eagles in terms oflike term, are they actually gonna win
or making the playoffs, win theSuper Bowl? Like I think they're gonna
go to the NFC Championship. Thatthere's just no choice about or no doubt
about it. But you can't.You can't have days like this. You
just can't. So here's my thoughton the Eagles. I said earlier,

(12:16):
they're the team I most wanted inthe super Bowl, not the one I
think is most likely correct. Thisis the reason why, because I do
think Hurts is falling into it's notthe it's not the falling down, but
he's at the peak and he startingto like hit that kind of plateau scenario.
Yeah, you don't want to usethe term regressing. I don't want

(12:37):
to say he's regressing at all, because he just had such an amazing season
last year that that's hard to replicate. Yes, exactly. So with that,
with that just natural like plateauing. They're going into the one of the
one I said to the screenshot earlier, the fifth hardest schedule going into the
rest of the season. They havethe lines that are a legit team they

(12:58):
have, which is of course gonnabe the big bad Wolf, the main
boss fight at the end of it. Yep, it's just gonna be real
tough going forward. We're seeing likethe very random like devont Dey Smith is
for lack of gutter term, beingvery boomer bust this year. He has
been. I feel like he waskind of like that last year too,
but maybe not to this effect. Not to this effect. There was games

(13:20):
like a lot of receivers they putup duds, but sure Devon Dismith doing
it is really boomer bus this year. So they have to sometimes relies super
heavily on aj Brown and or DeAndreSwift is still running them his ass off,
like he's what a top ten fantasyrunning back. Yeah, I mean,
he didn't have a great day onthe ground, ten carries for eighteen
yards, but he's still he hadit on eight catches for forty yards in

(13:43):
a hutter, So he was agood receiving back. I think in terms
of fantasy, if you're looking atfantasy for this year, you're still starting
Jalen Hurts every week. You're stillstarting jere everybody, like all these guys,
you're starting every week. So I'mnot just saying it's gonna get tough
for like that fly one. Theschedule was gonna start filling up with a
couple of losses here. Yeah, there's gonna be a few that sneaking in.
They won't super panic me, becauseagain, this probably should have been

(14:05):
a big boss of the end ofthe forty nine ers, Like that's all.
Yeah. The point the I thinkthe thing that we need to that
we should have pegged for this gameis that this was like a look a
look ahead game where it was like, Okay, we got a lot of
really tough teams after this team, and you maybe overlooked them and and everything
like that. So but yeah, you know, they I'm not worried long

(14:26):
term. I'm still starting these guysin fantasy. I still think they're going
to the NFC Championship game. AndI think that's a full stop. So
let's talk about the other undefeated teamthat lost. I mean, I think
this was all this is a combinationof injuries going up against a good defense.
But and then brock Party kind ofjust you know, he played like

(14:48):
a seventh round mister irrelevant. Ikind of imagine I kind of pictured it
like when iron Man loses the thingin his chest forget Yeah, yeah,
the core. Yeah, and it'slike he's still kind of walking around in
the suit. Yeah, it's likethe whole the things on the ground.
It's like, so he's only likehalf capacity right now. Yeah, that's
kind of how I imagine brock Party. Whenever he's in like the supporting cast

(15:11):
around him goes down because yeah,he's still iron Man, but it's not
as good now that you don't havethe best things around you, which is
your running back. Who is theonly person that you can argue for Offensive
Rookie of the Year next or OffensivePlayer of the Year next to Tyreek.
Yeah, and uh, the onlything that scares me is the Trent Williams

(15:31):
injury. I don't think that onewas supposed to be a long term either,
but I think I also think thatand it's but yeah, it was
just such a surprising law. I'mlike, I was not there was what
ten point favorite we also more thanthat, well yeah about ten points.
I guess we also wouldn't be talkingabout this if the rookie kicker makes that
kick at the end of the game. Fair so like it's not like they

(15:52):
got blown out or embarrassed, likeyou're you're I. I think what this
game showed me is that Brock Purtyis not like a top ten guy.
Maybe he's not definitely not top five, but when you lose your best weapon
in the NFL and then you alsolose your second best weapon on your team
and debo at this point, wellbut okay, but just let me stay

(16:17):
you know, closet, Yeah, two and a half whatever, two A
two B. But you're gonna you'regonna struggle. He's gonna struggle. He's
not going to win you games.Like I still think he's the top fifteen
quarterbacks. I think he's really reallygood, but this I think really showed
us that, Hey, going goingup against a top five defense in Cleveland

(16:40):
and you don't have your two ofyour best three weapons you're gonna struggle so
and then not to mention their youknow, Eliza Mitchell got hurt too,
Stop me if you've heard that onebefore, like that dude just just can't
stay healthy. But but yeah, again, long term, you know,
maybe they struggle a little bit nextweek, but it's against the Vikings.

(17:03):
I think the the highlight of thisgame is this continues to show how good
the Browns defense is. The Brownsand the Steelers are basically playing the same
same Yes, Spider mam It's defense, make plays offense do nothing like one
just is a rookie quarterback and oneis the highest paid quarterback. Yeah.
I guess my hum was just recentlybeing with his still well and Kenny's Tannley

(17:25):
not a rookie but rookie contract.Rookie contract fair enough. But yeah,
the fact that Philip Walker started started, or p J Walker Philip I was
like, who is that? NoPJ Walker? In fact that PJ Walker
started thought that bad. I guessthey didn't trust him. Honestly, I
would not trust a rookie quarter backthat going up against the Niners. Like

(17:49):
at least you know Pj's played inthe league, and that's some experience.
So let's talk about the highest scoringgame of the week, which was the
Dolphins. Dolphins and Panthers forty twotwenty one. This was a game that
just continues. Just Tyreek is broken. He is so so, so so

(18:10):
so broken. Yes, it's itis literally a glitch. Did you see
the backflip thing he had a guywith My god, it was so cool.
I'm just fudge man. He likethis. This team is good.
And what I will say is,you know, the one team they lose
to is a division rival in thewh the Bills. They have played some

(18:30):
weak defenses, but when this teamis all systems go, they are impossible
to stop. Are they the bestteam right now? I just like,
now that everybody's pretty squared at likefive to one, yeah, I don't
think there's one true team that seemsto be above everybody else. Like,
in my opinion, there's the Ninersthat are in the NFC, and then

(18:53):
maybe the Dolphins, maybe the Chiefs, Yeah maybe Yeah. The maybe's are
what get me. I think thateven between those two, even between the
conferences, I'm just like, eh, like, there's no one team that
just really is like seeing like thebig like big scary I think that I
do not think the Dolphins are thebest team in the AFC or in the
league. I still think it's theChiefs, even though the Chiefs kind of

(19:15):
plotted their way to a victor playingreal defenses. And I think that is
the difference because I think about okay, and if an NFC championship comes down,
it's Dolphins versus Chiefs. The differencemaker is going to be the Chiefs
defense in that game, which iscrazy to say when you've got Patrick Mahomes
on the field. Let's talk aboutthis why I think going forward, I
think the Chiefs will be very okaybecause I do think we're seeing a bit

(19:38):
of a rise of Rashie Rice.Oh, don't you talk dirty to me.
I think he's going to become avery nice second option in that offense
come late the season, come playofftime, because he's already looked very reliable.
I think you might have like onefumble on the season or something like
that. Yeah, he's his snapshares sex safe when you look at that

(20:00):
on sleeper they put on the Chiefs. Yeah, but I think you're right.
I think that it's going to becomevery apparent that he is the best
receiving option on that team not namedTravis Kelce. Yes, like Clarious Tony
is good if he's healthy. VShas a niche Yeah, MVS is is
really good at running straight. Likethere's but Rashid Rice is exciting. He's

(20:23):
definitely a guy that got overlooked inin the NFL draft, I feel like,
but yeah, I think that Ricelong term is a nice little stashed
in, nice little play And nextyear I'd be really excited to see what
he looks like. I would betoo. I feel more hope for him
going forward than I ever did tolike sky Moore, even I still had
hype around sky More. I likesky Moore coming out, but there seems

(20:45):
to be like real legs now withRosie right, It just seems like sky
Moore like just so easily fits intoa gadget role, like kind of like
Leaviska where it was like like youyou can see the ceiling there of like,
oh, he could be like alegit like wide receiver too, but
more than likely he's gonna end upin like a Harvin kind of role like

(21:07):
Percy Harvin. I was I wasthinking Presley Harvin, the punter for the
Steelers, I'm like, I knowthat's not right. I know it's not
It's Percy Harvin. I think that'sjust gonna be Skymore's career if he's lucky.
But but rishid Rice has absolute, absolute upside. But Dolphins looked really
good again. I mean, there'sthey're running. I think the big difference
here is that they're still they're runningthe ball way better than they did last

(21:30):
year. Even without a Chane.Mosters still had one hundred and fifteen yards
and two touchdowns on the ground, and I think that's what that's the difference
of the Dolphins this year compared tolast year is that they've got a legit
run game. Even when a Chancomes back, like it's gonna be even
better. And that is great tohelp offset the electricness of Tyreek and Jalen

(21:51):
model because really Wadas also have nothad a great year so far. He
starts slow, he's banged up alittle bit, So having that another offensive
weapon like that in the wrong game, I think is crucial for this team.
And luckily it looks like Devon Achanwill be on the lower end of
the four weeks for the ir Yeah, so yeah, we we're very ready
for him. To come back. But on this other side of that game,

(22:15):
I will say that's two games we'reseeing better football from Bryce Young.
The first half was very good forBryce Young and then he kind of he
flattened out. But yes, it'sreally hard to keep up with that team.
Like, yeah, little victory.Yeah, I think the struggled.
Let's give him a little bit.Well, that's what I was gonna say.
I think this is great for him, and it's great for you if

(22:37):
you're a fan of the Panthers, because for the first couple of weeks you
probably scarred. Oh I was,oh god, Yeah, it's like,
this is the guy we spent ourfirst over I'll pick on, and he's
not. He's not doing well, but like you said, he's shown improvement.
That Oline is just terrible, Likehe really has no weapons outside of
Adam Thielen Deeling is like every weekstarter. Now he is an instant starter.

(23:00):
Now he absolutely is going crazy fantasywise. He's just catching everything inside.
Yeah, which is we maybe shouldhave seen that coming a little bit
more, but we live and learned. Yeah. Uh. In terms of
other games we want to talk about, I don't really nice games were super
sexy. C J. Stroud throughhis first interception, which was cool,

(23:21):
and then immediately the Saints fumbled theball and he got it back on the
next play, So it's like bestinterception ever. So what does Bijon have
to do to basically overthrow CJ.Stroud for Rookie of the Year at this
point, I let's it. Idon't know if he tear yeah, I
think he's like he'd have to getyou had to get like fifteen hundred yards.

(23:45):
I think even in like ten touchdowns. Yeah, he would have to
go on an absolute tear. Itjust it just seems like it's wrapped up
for CJ. Stroud. Yeah atthis point, buying a collapse or an
injury. I think it's he's absolutelylocked in for uh for Rookie of the
Year. I've been really impressed withhim. I mean, the Saints are
the Saints are right to think ofit. They probably shouldn't win the playoff,

(24:07):
right I think so, yeah, they shouldn't make the playoffs, but
they might sneak in. You neverknow what the AFC. They're not.
That pick's not going to be atop five pick. You're definitely you are
that is that's a stance that youwere very very right on. Was there
any of the games you wanted totouch on before we're at like the twenty
five minute mark here, before wejump into our top ten here. I

(24:27):
don't know how long the top tenis gonna take. I don't want us
to go crazy over but I meanGiants Bills was let's let's rap and fire
the ones we didn't touch Thursday NightChiefs Broncos Patrick Mahone. It wasn't a
sexa game like it was just nota fun game. But the better the
right team won. London Game RavensTitans twenty four to sixteen. Ravens Derrick

(24:52):
Henry is not looking right. Iwant to talk about that for a minute.
Yeah, okay, so he didbounced by twelve KR's nine seven yards
in a touchdown. This but atthis point, what what's the conversation for
trading for Henry because we're officially intrade deadline months? Are you talking in
Oh? I don't know, LikeI feel like a lot of teams would

(25:12):
be calling. I mean, you'reright, I meanyeah, I mean yeah,
I think about Rams could use one. I mean there's there's a ton
of things. The Bills's injury,Yeah, we didn't talk about Tenne's injury.
I don't know what Tannehill's long terminjury looks like because it is Willis
for this year. My god, trade the man away high ankle sprain for

(25:34):
Tannehill. That's the usually a coupleof weeks. Yeah, probably like four
to three to two to six, five to seven math, that's a lot
that. Yeah, my brain hurts, but yeah, he'll he'll be out
for probably about a month to bemy guess. Let's play this game.
Who was the leading receiver for theTitans? Hm, hmm, I know

(25:59):
for sure it wasn't Hopkins? Yeah, was it Chukes? Wasn't Chucks?
Who was it? Taj Spears? He had one catch for forty eight yards
that was an electric catch though,Oh yeah it was an electric cat.
He's exciting, Like that's part ofthe reason you want to I would think
about trading Henry is that like Taj'sflash bro, Taj should own a lot

(26:23):
of promise, and at this point, like I can think of the Chiefs
would be interested in Henry. Iwould imagine, Yeah, the Cowboys could
be interested in Henry Pollard isn't playingsuper well, that's true. I can
imagine Uh, I had another goodexample for this. I was thinking about
this on the way here. God, what was another team that could possibly

(26:45):
use them? I mean there's aI mean, you could talk about the
Bears the team like legit like playoffteams. God, I'm missing this in
my head, Bills did you sayBill's skills? That's why I'm thinking of
I mean, James Cooks look nice, but imagine Derek he Well, Derek
James Cook are two different backs,Yes, like they would compient compliment each

(27:06):
other very well. Yeah, Ithink that at this point, just just
pun on him, like, getget up, go get You get like
a third round pick probably right now, you get a pair of threes or
something. Yeah, I don't knowwhat its contract is left, but yeah,
cause in my head, what didmccaffrick go for like two, three,
four? That's just not fair tocompare. Like, let's go down
like coppeg Do you get like apair of threes? You get? Yeah,

(27:30):
I guess you get like multiple Daytwo picks or multiple Day three picks,
like high Day three picks. ButI mean, yeah, especially once,
like he's point, yeah, exactlywhat what value is he bringing in?
You might get more value in seeingwhat you have in pad Spears long
term, Yeah, I would agreewith that. You're not winning games.

(27:53):
And the only reason I'm not sayingthat about Hawkins is if you get a
new quarterback next year, you wantsomebody who's reliable for a rookie quarterback.
Yeah, yeah, I agree.Next couple of games, Commanders and Desbon
Riders streak of home games or homewins. They beat him twenty four to
sixteen. Now they're not super sexygame. Seahawks Bengals. Bengals went at

(28:15):
home seventeen thirteen. Looks like they'restarting to get back on track at least.
And then the record department. GINOis not playing super well right now.
No, Gino is not looking great. It's not catastrophic, but it's
not. You expected more after lastyear and then after adding weapons, Jason
has been a non factor like that. The run game is still really good
there, but the rest of itis the pass game is leaving something to

(28:37):
be desired. Vikings beat Bears nineteenthirteen. If we if you say anything
about that game, it's a wasteof our listeners time. Let's see Patriots
Raiders terrible weird ending to that,Raiders sneak it out at twenty one to
seventeen PEP talking about did we talkabout last week? Do we want a
rookie quarterback to go to New England? Do we want a Caleb Williams in

(29:02):
New England? No, we don't. Well, we talked about this and
I don't want it because I don'twant I don't want another regime. I
don't want another dynasty like take youknow, give them a top ten pick
and come back like, go ahead. I'll be happy if they get Bonnicks.
How's that because I want them tostink, Yes, exactly, but

(29:22):
still I don't want I don't wanton anyone. Yeah, that's true.
Bonnicks. Yeah, Lions twenty,Buccaneers six. That they are a top
team. Man, do you makethe case now that they're top five?
At this point, I say topthree. Let's let's run down nine Ers,

(29:45):
Eagles okay in the NFL like ohuh oh, definitely top five then
yeah, Dolphins, I hope,Dolphins Chiefs. Yeah. It was kind
of hit and miss for me atthis point. Dolphins Chiefs, Okay,
forty nine Ers the three. Ican maybe see Lions Bills being the last
two on that five Yeah, Eaglesare in there too, but Eagles have

(30:07):
the rough schedule coming coming up.But I want to see how they kind
of handle that. I mean,of the NFC teams, this was the
only one of the big three thatwon this week. I mean they're all
five and one, so yeah, they're gonna lose Monty for a bit,
which is unfortunate, but mon RossaintBrown put up forty points, so I'm
like, they figure out their wayaround these things. Yeah, I think

(30:30):
this the line is may be mysecond favorite team next to Steelers obviously,
but like it's one of the morefun teams to root for or to watch.
Well, not only is it funto watch, but like just the
background of it. I mean,oh and sixteen long to bring an absolute
breaks truck for Ben Jonson the offensive, Oh yeah, with that is out
here. Yeah you know who itis. But someone's going to throw an

(30:52):
entire ass bank at that, dude. Cardinals lost of the Rams twenty six
to nine. Rams are actually lookingkind of good. They're yeah, a
little scared of them. Yeah tol A, I'm not that good news
is there's no running backs there.Kyen Williams got hurt and the backup got
hurt. I can't remember his name, River Carcraft was that who was?

(31:15):
But we're probably gonna see some ZachEvans. Yeah, it'll be cool to
see if he does anything. Yeah, I guess, but I think I
saw they signed like Royce Freeman orsomething else, my man, something wild.
But yeah that so, yeah, that that'll be interesting. But yeah,
they're they're kind of they're hitting atthe right time. They're Pooka still

(31:41):
like Pooka had a down week thisweek, I think, but he overall,
I mean, those are two reallygood weapons. I'm I'm super I'm
she is looking a lot more competitivethan we thought it was going to at
the beginning of the season. Yeah, I absolutely agree with that. I'm
very bullish on what the what theRams are doing. They're probably four rights
you imagine if we're talking just theNFC teams. So yeah, yeah,

(32:06):
Eagles, Niners, Lions, andthen probably Rams. Yeah I'm Cowboys,
eh, like I take the Rams. Yeah, I would probably take the
Rams too, which leads us tothe last game we really haven't talked about,
which is Cowboys twenty Charter seventeen. What a shit show of a game

(32:30):
that's, without a doubt, justinHerbert's worst game as a pro, which
you have to have some of them, you do, but it was a
tough one. Just it was likewe bring up golf a lot in this
podcast. It's just a day wherenone ear shots are going straight. Yeah,
they're all going in the woods. My man was hitting people in the
feet. My man was over sellingpeople watching him just over thirteen down twice

(32:54):
when he was wide open. Iwas just like, what is happening,
man, Everything's going to hell inthis game? Yeah, nothing, nothing
went well. The run game wasbad, Like, it was just all
not good. So it was definitelydefinitely the worst charges performance. I'm I
can't fully put it on a brandStanley this week, I can do it.

(33:14):
I really am so done with him. He stinks. He's bad.
He's so bad. I can't.I can't. Don't get it, don't
get what he's a coach. That'srood of me to say, for me
sitting in this chair. No,but it's just it's some of the things
that he don understand. There's alot of quality coaches in the NFL.
Why him? Yeah? I meanyeah, why him? And not the

(33:37):
enemy? Right? Like could youimagine the enemy there? Yeah? I
could actually could and it would beawesome. It would be really really good.
All Right, that's pretty much weeksix. There. There's not a
ton of sexy stuff to talk aboutthrough week six. But I think now
it was kind of a fun thingto do here, and that is a

(33:58):
way too early mock draft. Iam actually very excited for this. I
made a quick link, I madea top ten. As that turned to
a top twenty, I was like, oh, yeah, I've not been
in Dynasty hat mode in a minute. Yeah, it's funny, it's fun
to bring this background. So,so who was the first pick? Uh?

(34:19):
You have the first pick, solet's do let's make it so easy.
Well, let's talk so it's superflex. I think we're going to
factor in that and then so wecan actually talk about the quarterbacks here.
So, I mean the first twopicks are I think pretty much locked in.
Yeah, so I would take Caleband I assume you would be taking
Martin Harrison junior. Yes, atthis point, I'm starting to make it

(34:40):
wonder if there's an argument for CalebWilliams and then just Martin Harrison in the
draft before even like a Drake maySo I just point you to just be
one too. And I'm not sayingin a Chicago might have number one and
two. I mean, first ofall, it would be sick. If
Chicago had one and two and theygot both of these guys, it would
explode. I won't hit to themovie. It wouldn't matter how bad I

(35:01):
think the Bears are as an organization. Yes, I would be like,
that's two. That's just two awesomethings. You can't fuck it up.
Yeah, yeah, this is theeasiest one. What will be interesting is
that I think a guy we're gonnatalk about here shortly, but do you
see it? Could there be ascenario where you would take one of these

(35:22):
other quarterbacks in ahead of Marvin Harrisonin a rookie draft. That's a tough
one, man, Because we keepsaying it about Bijeon from last year.
It's like, yeah, we know, Bejeon is this generational running back and
the show flashes of that this season. Should you have been taking a C.

(35:45):
J. Stroud in front of him? Right? Because Stroud is right
now offense like the quarterback and theoffensive rookie of the year. Yeah,
I don't know, man, thisjust feels different, maybe just because it's
a wide receiver. Maybe because it'sHarrison, Marvin Harrison Junior. I don't
know, but right now I can'tsay that in full confidence. That's fair.

(36:07):
Am I ready to make the samemistake again? Maybe losing out of
CJRI with Drake May? Maybe Yeah, that's fine. Okay, So third
third pick here, who do yougot? Who you taking? I'll got
Drake May at this now here isthe only one close to Marvin Harrison or
the Caleb Williams at this point. For me, he's not having the greatest

(36:28):
year, but he has just everyintangible in the world. He's not having
a bad year. He's not throwingpicks all over the floor. It's just
I would us he just got hisnumber one receiver back, So I also
think that is going to help himin the long run. If the draft
was today and I had the pickthat you just had, I would have
taken Michael PENNOCKX interesting. I thinkhe's on track. He's he's the fair
for the Heisman. We just watchedhim against the Oregon he is. He's

(36:53):
very amazing. I mean the touchhe's got on the ball, his fluidness
in the pocket, his accuracy,I mean all these that that's not gonna
it doesn't factor in as much anymore, especially the year. Yeah it was
through COVID college. Yeah, likethe Once the COVID stuff resets then it'll
matter again. But these guys areall staying extra year. They're all getting

(37:15):
paid. Honestly, even without theCOVID stuff, these guys are gonna come
out later now because they're getting paid. Like, there's there's a lot more
center for these guys to stay forthree or four years and and stay and
make an ile money and just enjoythat lifestyle for a while. But I'll
tell you what Michael Pennix is.He has surprised me a lot. I
there was a name that he orthat he was, a name that was

(37:36):
like, Okay, this is theguy we're gonna want to watch. It
looks like, yeah, okay,I made that joke. Fine, But
now I'm now I really like thisguy. I really, I really like
Poenix. You know, he makesthe long, hard throws. It's he's
really really a good player. AndI think that I would not be shocked
he eventually goes really start diving inthe tape. I'm gonna really start to

(37:59):
like, I would not be shockedif he goes ahead of drink. May.
I don't think he will, butI wouldn't be shocked. Yeah.
Right now he has twenty three hundredyards, twenty touchdowns, three interceptions,
ninety one q QBR in six games. Yeah, and all of them have
been three hundred games or more. That sounds sexy to me. All right,

(38:22):
So I took Pennix. Where areyou gonna go? Here's where it
gets really interesting, because there's thethree receivers here that I really like,
and I'm very interested in this prospense. And then there's the brock Bowers question.
Yep. Maybe it's because Kyle Pittshas burned me a little bit recently.

(38:45):
I don't think I can take brockBowers over a wide receiver that I
really like, especially when I havea couple that I really like right now.
Yeah, I don't think this isquite yet where you take a tight
end. Uh, So I'm gonnago with Milik Neighbors out of it.
He looks like just a very prototypereceiver, army six foot, two hundred

(39:10):
yards for two hundred pounds. Yes, it's over seven hundred yards already in
the season. He's a name thatflashes a freshman. He just say,
he's in every check box super early. He's super explosive, explosive, he
gets yards away, he gets yardsseparated. I really like Malik Neighbors.

(39:31):
Yeah, I think he's gonna bea bit tougher to evaluate because I think
his quarterback play is just not quitethere. The guy throwing the ball is
not. Yeah, Jade Daniels,he's very he's very hot and cold.
So I think that that makes ita little bit more tough. But like
choking up a little. Yeah,I mean I don't blame you, but

(39:52):
yeah, I like him a lot. I'm him and the guy I'm about
to take right now, who isthe other wide receiver from Ohio State and
Mike Abuka Buka it's a tough one. Well we'll learn it later, but
six one, two of six prototypicalsize like this, it's an O higher
state wide receiver. It's really hardto be like, there's a lot to

(40:12):
hate about this guy. That's mything. I'm like, are we gonna
fall back into the Alave effect wherewe know a laby is good? But
are we gonna be starting overfactuated likesomeone with like a Treylon burks. So
keep making that first because the pickI would have here. Next is ken't
call me out of Florida state sixpounds. It's probably a round like low

(40:34):
four fours at that size, whichis crazy. Dude's just so fluid.
He made a lot of highly playswith that or with the one hand catch
last week. Yeah, he isinsane, man. He has been outrageous
for that team from week zero atthis point, he is. He has

(40:54):
made some really impressive catches. Hehas made a lot of Oh no,
well yeah there's that one, butsorry about that. But yeah, he
is a guy that's gonna rise theranks. I don't know if he's going

(41:14):
to be a first round pick, but he he's going to be a first
round pick. You think I thinkI think that like Pyper, like Piper
overall, does he Okay, thenhe definitely be a first round pick.
Okay, I just feel like thisguy that's not getting a ton of love
quite yet. But what oh yeah, I mean I've watched the games,

(41:35):
but like I feel like people aren'ttalking about him in like draft circles yet,
but it will happen for sure.Uh So this is tough, man,
because it's like if you haven't noticed, we haven't talked about a running
back yet and it's not really blowthe doors off. Yeah, it's not
the like there's still some like goodnames like these guys that we can talk

(41:59):
about. But I think here iskind of where the rubber meets the road
for where brock Bowers goes. Yeah, definitely, So I think I think
here was his pick eight. Ithink we take brock Bowers. He is
legit the entire offense of Georgia atthis point, like the entire pass game.

(42:19):
He is just an absolute rock star. He might be the first yeah,
one of the rare one thousand Yorktight ends in college. Yeah,
that would be awesome to see ifhe can do that. And I mean,
he's just he's been so good forso long. It's just so much
fun to I'm so excited to seewhere he goes. It's just so scary.
We've seen it. We've talked aboutwith Kyle Pitts and all these guys

(42:42):
that you know, they're not thesefirst round tight ends don't always pan out
like we want them to. Butman, do I think that they are
going to have a chance. Ireally love brock Bowers. He's the man.
Like, it's just where do youtake the elite tight end after kind
of getting Kyle Pitts still out thejury is still out, but I'm sure
whoever has Kyle Pitts at this particularamount is a feeling the sickest about it.

(43:07):
Yeah, okay, you got thisis your last pick, pick nine.
At this point, I have totake a running back. I'm gonna
go Braylon Allen on Wisconsin for yourfirst running back. For really that surprises
me. He I just he's talkingabout prototypes. Man, six foot two,

(43:30):
two hundred and twenty five pounds orwhatever ridiculous number it is. At
this point, he's gonna be forHe looks like he has the birds.
He he just seems to fit theprofile. And we're not looking for Bell
pals in this back in this draftlast because we don't think there is a
true one. So based on whatI've seen succeed in the past, I'm

(43:52):
willing to take a shot that BrandonAllen is the most likely to hit that.
Yeah, I mean he and Ithink the one of We're talking about
a lot of guys guys here thatyou know, have stayed, has been
in the league for or have beenin college for a long time. Brenda
down is young. Yes, hestarted as a freshman and he was like
seventeen. Yes, he skipped asenior year. Yeah he passed the senior

(44:13):
year. Yeah, whatever he did. But yeah, he came out of
high school early and immediately started wasimmediate factor. Wisconsin is a run first
team, or at least it wasthis. You know, they're trying to
change in their identity now with LukeFickel. But he's big, he's fast,
like he's his forty time will probablymake or break exactly where he finishes.
But at the six two two fortythat way if he gets basically yeah

(44:37):
he's even listed like too thirty ifyes, exactly, and that'll that'll make
her break him here. But youknow, we really want to see You
don't see a ton of past catchingout of Wisconsin running backs, so that's
kind of the question. And thisis this is a guy who screams to
to be who's gonna be wearing TennesseeTitans jersey next year? To get a

(44:59):
pair of atash Yeah, that wouldbe it. I would love it.
Yeah, I really like I likeBrandon a lot here. I think it's
great pick. We got Derrick Henryat home. Yeah, yeah, we
got Yeah, that's that's a goodone. I'm bouncing around between like Blake
Koram, Travion Travion Henderson. Like, there's still a couple of wide receivers

(45:20):
that are decent that I haven't spenta ton of time watching yet. Like,
uh, like Xavior Worthy, he'sreally good. Romeo Adonza has popped
off for Washington as Michael Pennix islike Robin. I was really impressed in
that Washington and Oregon game that wewatched. I was really impressive road,

(45:44):
So I think he is going tobe I think he got wheels too.
Man, he's probably gonna be inthe conversation for a first round receiver.
I'm gonna I'm gonna put him inhere as the honorary guy I was thinking
about. A guy like Xavier Worthywas probably like my next over Worthy at
this point. But first of all, Donday's a sweet name. Roma Donsday's

(46:04):
super cool name. See if itis a cool name too. But uh,
there's probably some recency by this herebecause we just sat down and watched
that entire game start to finish.I don't know, man, I mean
to them I kept hearing before man, Yeah, right, yeah, but
I'm I mean, this is aguy that I think is going to be
another riser with him and him andPanics I think are going to help.
There are each other's draft stocks. So I'm super duper excited to see what's

(46:29):
going on here. So would thatbe the ten person? That is the
tenth we're mos style, Let's dotwo more, Let's make it a let's
make it a cool twelve for anormal club person in league. Okay,
because I would like to talk aboutBlake Orm. Okay, let's do it
and not have to say sure,I would take him or Henderson at this
point, Hanson's more traditional running backthat I think would work out. Man,

(46:53):
Blake Orum is the lecturer. Yeah, we're not looking for bell coals,
We're looking for people who fit agood many role and using Blake Orm
is someone like how And I'm I'mmight just be compared to the short guys,
but in a system like the Steelerswith Jalen Warren. Yeah, I

(47:14):
just think that Korm is like evenjuice, even more juiced up Jalen Warren.
Yeah, getting an opportunity like that, I'd be really interested in Blake
Orm. Yeah, I'm it's it'sbeen disappointing in the air quotes the start
of a season considering how well heplayed last year, but does ten touchdowns?
Yeah, his touchdow numbers look great. But and he's he's showing a

(47:36):
back backfitt with another guy who mightcome out this year with in Donovan Edwards.
But I yeah, I think BlakeHorn here is super exciting. He's
the Jalen Warren is. Yeah,it's an easy comp but I think it
makes a ton of sense. Uh. And then I think the guy that
I'm gonna wrap up with his TravonHenderson. Just pre you talked about like
he's a prototypical back. He looksgood doing pretty much everything. He's he's

(47:58):
kind of a jack of all trades, master of not like he has everything
really really good. But nothing superjumps out is like, wow, he's
such a he's got great long speedor Ohio State. Yeah, right,
So I think there's something there thatthat plays in. But there's some I
mean, there are some good backshere. There's just nobody here that you
think is like, first of all, there's not gonna be a single one
of these guys drafted in the firstround of the NFL, which no chance

(48:21):
any of these guys go. Buta lot of these guys are gonna go
Day two, Day three, orsorry, round two, round three,
and they're gonna go to really reallygood spots. But I think this class
is looking to be pretty solid.I don't know how deep it's going to
be, but for right now,the fact that I have a cool like

(48:45):
sixteen players right now that I feelpretty interested in and has like four quarterbacks
in that list. So even takethe four quarterbacks out, that's twelve non
quarterbacks. So if you play oneQB league, that's a full round of
diet the first Dynasty already. Yeahyeah, I mean it's that's were week
seven college football. I think what'sgoing to be super interesting is to see

(49:08):
how how many of these guys actuallydeclare, particularly in their running backs,
like especially like like the I thinkthe impact of nil is going to be
much bigger now with with these guysthat like we're talking about r now in
like the back half of like thisdraft. The guys that aren't like bona
fide studs, if they've got abilityto go back, are they just going

(49:30):
to take it because they're getting goodan il money And say, honestly,
I would like to just stay incollege and dominate and have a dorm paid
for me and go to classes andchase girls. But you know what I
mean, but like, have everythingtaken care of me for one more year.
It's like it's kind of hard toturn to turn away. And I'm
still probably making six figures. Sobut yeah, right now this looks like

(49:52):
a really top maybe not top heavy, but the top of the wide receivers
are really good. Top of thequarterbacks I think are really good. The
running backs are just kind of alot of good not great, kind of
like what the what we thought thewater Tiveries were last year? The running
backs were kind of like this yearwhere there was like nobody that was jumping
off the page, like all thisother than JSN is like you're a bona

(50:15):
fide, really really good guy, can't miss guy. Same thing here,
I think with the running Okay,Jordan Aisden fine, but he still wasn't
a can't miss guy I thought itwas. But yeah, I think that
this is gonna have a really reallygood impact. It's gonna be a great
draft, it's gonna be a goodfactor, it's gonna be a really really
really good good time. This draftis good, good good times for this

(50:37):
for a good draft here. Uh. I think it's about it though,
so be sure to falls on Twitterat jet Set Dynasty. We'll be back
next week more NFL talk. I'msure the buyers are starting to get to
me I'm missing. I feel likethat we're already in the thick of it.
I hate being in the thick ofit because then it's over soon.

(50:58):
But we'll be next week with morefootball talk. Goodbye piece.
