Today on jet Set Dynasty mid seasonAwards. We're gonna talk m v PS
offensive players, maybe Rookie of theYear, that's the lobbyist. Maybe runner
up for Rookie of the Year.Uh, already, let's go, let's
go, let's go. Hello everybody, Welcome back to jet Set Dynasty Football.

(00:50):
Brian Stein and JB as always, and we're back. This will probably
be a shorter episode. I'm stillfeeling kind of under the weather and JB's
got to go get ready for aflight. So but we we we're gonna
be out next week, so wewanted to make sure that we didn't have
two weeks of dead air for you. So, uh, we're back.

(01:11):
We're gonna talk some uh some midseason awards. We're gonna go through and
and just talk about some of theplayers that have surprised us, who we
think the most valuable players are,uh, and kind of just go from
there. We need some like backgroundaward show music to be yes. We
also maybe we should even talk aboutbiggest surprises. Maybe a little college football

(01:34):
awards too. Okay, maybe wecan toss one two of those in.
Uh, but let's kick it offwith what I guess it is typically the
best award, the biggest award,and that's m v P Most Valuable Player.
So I think this is an interestingone because we are not the NFL,
so this award doesn't just go toa quarterback automatically, and I don't

(01:57):
think it probably should this year.I think your number two contenders are either
probably Tyreek Hill or Christian McCaffrey.Yeah, I mean Christian McCaffrey, who,
uh just broke his seventeen game touchdownstreak wherever it was. They tried
so hard at the end of thatgame to actually like get it to him.

(02:19):
But I think my vote kind ofhas to go to Tyreek Hill here
because he had He's not missed anytime yet, so he's been mister consistent
coming through always. He's only hadtwo games under sorry, three games under
twenty points all season and has yetto have a game under or you have
to have a game end single digits. This is But you can make the

(02:43):
same argument for McCaffrey. Yeah, but he missed Tommy games and he missed
zero. I thought mccafrey missed acouple of games cause the injury. Nope,
oh no, you're right, hedidn't. Oh christ No, I
think I'm still gonna go with Tyreek, not to split hairs. He has
three whole more points than McCaffrey doeson the season in PPR leagues, So

(03:04):
I just think I think having Tyreekon your team is a game changer.
So I'm going to give it toTyreek for my vote. Yeah, I
think I would probably give it toTyrek as well, because the one thing
that Christian McCaffrey was really having goingfor him is that he was getting a
touchdown every game and now that's streakis officially broken after this week, and
now he had a good game, like twenty point game without it. But

(03:28):
yeah, we're still looking at Tyreek, who has projected to have the most
receiving yards by any wide receiver. He might be the first wide receiver in
history to get two thousand yards. So just for that projection that he's on
right now, I'm going to giveit to Tyreek. Yeah. Right now,
he's at one thousand and seventy sixthrough ten games and still has eight
touchdowns to boot by. Yeah.Like, I know it's silly to know

(03:52):
we always talk about it, butit is so cool to see a guy
like he's five ten, like he'sa little bit of a muscle hamster,
like he's he's not just a superskinny guy. But like it's cool to
see a guy play the game theway that he does and dominate because he
you know, he wins in somany unique ways and it's not just size

(04:12):
and even the contested catches he does, like he still comes up with a
lot of those catches. So he'sprobably the most electric player in all football
right now. Mm hm. Whois the person that you have on the
main majority of your teams that you'redoing well in fantasy? Like who's the
big common denominator and all those goodquestion? Aman Ron Saint Brown? Mind's

(04:32):
AJ Brown? So like that veryfirst couple of wide receivers you've got in
that second round, yeah, thosematter. Him CD Lamb is another one
that you've gotten around that turn.Yeah, I hotly one of those second
round receivers that you can get infantasy. I had a team with a
mon Ryan CD and I was like, that's stupid. Yeah it was.
I'm doing very well in that league, very very well. Yeah, I

(04:54):
think I have a J. Brown. It's him Ansy just Drouded especially with
the CJ Stroud, I have him. I think both of them in half
my leagues. That is crazy. This is the CJ. Stroud one is
like the best waiver wire pickup.Maybe you could have and redraft and stuff
like that. All right, what'sour next category, Brian? So I

(05:14):
was gonna say offensive Player of theYear, but maybe we should have We'll
go by position. Okay, yeah, let's do that. Yeah, so
quarterback of the we'll do. We'lldo a quarter uh yeah, we'll do
quarterback. But then we'll of coursetake away the obvious ones for running back,
a wide receiver. Yeah, okay, let's do that. All right.
So who is your your best yourquarterback of the year quarterback of ten

(05:40):
weeks? For me, I knowJosh Allen has more points, more just
all around total points. But theconsistency I feel like I'm getting with Jalen
Hurts it makes me want to putJalen Hurts is for the quarterback of the
year. Yes, Josh Allen hasthe like twenty more points at this point.
I'm just a little scared off aboutwhat's happening with Josh Allen with the

(06:03):
Bills right now. Yeah, andJalen Hurts just everything seems to be unfold,
Like I see one game for JalenHurts where he was not quarterback eight
or higher. Yeah, yeah,I want to throw like a rench and
be like, oh Lamar Jackson whohas had really good games, but compared

(06:27):
to Hurts and Allen, I meanHurts, his consistency, you hit the
nail on the head is just youknow, you're getting twenty ish points every
week like he is not. Weekone, he had twelve points. Since
then he's got has had more thannineteen points every week. It's hard to
fight with that kind of consistency,it really is. I would rather have

(06:50):
that. I would rather have betweennineteen and twenty nine points a game every
week instead of Allen's like already oneweek five another week like the roller coaster
is not as fun for me.Has three games where he's under quarterback ten
is Josh Allen? Yeah? Soyeah for me, the yeah, the

(07:13):
quarterback of the year right now isJalen Hurts, and it's I don't think
it's particularly close, even though Allenhas a few more points. What about
your biggest surprise at the quarterback position? Uh? Sam, How yep,
that's I feel like those the obviousone. It's Sam Howell or CJ.
Stroud. You could even make acase for Josh Dobbs because he's a top
ten quarterback right now and he's playedon two different teams, which as wild.

(07:35):
But Sam Howe being QB what fiveright now? Three sleeper it says
like five on on NFL, soI don't know exactly, but he's five
quarterback. He has the same amountof points as Lamar Jackson according to our
according to Sleeper, So I meanthat's just that's impressive, especially because that

(07:56):
team is just yeah, it's nota sexy team, no, like scary.
Terry is good. John. We'lltalk. I think we're gonna talk
about Brian Robinson in a second, because he's actually having like an incredible year
and nobody's talking about him. Butthey're making the most out of what they
have offensively and it's paying off.I think Sam Howell could prove to be

(08:18):
an Andy Dalton level starter in theNFL for a long time. Yeah,
so let's play this game. Whatwould you offer for Sam how now?
Because they're probably not going to bereplacing him going into next year unless they
are able to bring in a bigname guy, right, I wouldn't I
don't think they're in the market tojust try again at a quarterback. They're

(08:39):
like, if we can't significantly dobetter than Sam, we probably are just
not going to I think it's lookat I think Dad looking and go.
Sam is not our biggest problem rightnow. No, that offensive line is
terrible. I mean, you know, he was on pace for you know,
the most sex ever. He threwthree times. Some of them are
his fault, some are his fault, but he threw three touchdowns last.

(09:00):
He's got some really really big games. And in a dynasty two QB league,
I would probably late first. Iwas gonna say late first because a
mid first I don't think is.I think maybe a little too much is
because there is there's a non zerochance that they bring in a competition for
him or a replacement. But Ithink where he's at right now because he's

(09:26):
never gonna be a top five dynastyquarterback. No, he may have weeks
or he may have seasons like thiswhere he's QB three or whatever. But
but can I see him as quarterbackfor the Washington Commander for the next two
to three years? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean though he's
on a rookie contract, too,or he's on sorry, he's on a

(09:46):
non he's on a rookie contract.What I meant is he's on a non
first round pick contract, so he'sonly got like three or four years.
He doesn't have the option. Soworst case, they ride him for the
next two or three years, dumphim off, somebody else picks them up,
or they tag him and he turnsinto Kirk Cousins again. So there's
a lot that can happen here.I've really have been impressed with the way
he's been playing. So he's he'sbeen my surprise, I think my disappointment.

(10:11):
I think this is how we're goingto do this. Now, let's
just go buy position. But thedisappointment has to be Patrick Mahomes right a
little bit. What is he?Quarterback eight? Yeah, he's QB eight
on the year. I mean thatto me when you look at these names,
like that's the shock that you haveto scroll down and see to see

(10:33):
Patrick Mahomes's name. Two is lowtoo, But that's that is actually maybe
that's more surprising. How is twoof QB ten when you're you've got all
these offenses that are or all theseweapons and all these high scoring games.
He put up seventy points, andeven in that game, he still didn't
manage to put up a ton offantasy points. Five games for two under

(10:56):
quarterback ten. Yeah, so they'rereally the that is Yeah, maybe that's
more of a more of a surprisejust because of how well the offense feels
like they're playing and he's not puttingup with Hume points. So maybe it's
two over Mahomes. What do youthink I wouldn't say, because I we're
happy with two of his performance,We're happy that he's in the top ten,

(11:16):
we're happy that he's healthy. Soit's hard for me to say that
he's the disappointment in this. I'dprobably get and it's hard for me to
say Mahomes. But you do expectMahomes to be a top three to five
quarterback for you, and he's justnot giving you that right now, well,
especially like you had to have.Actually I disagree, I forgot the
obvious answer. The obviously answer isTrevor Lawrence without without zero games of over

(11:41):
twenty points. That is bad.But I think, and maybe this is
more of a redraft point of view, but Mahomes is a bigger disappointment because
of where you had to take Mahomesin a redraft league. Fair, you
know you missed. You took himin the third round. You missed a
late second, early third. Yeah, like you missed out on quality skill
position player to take him. Butfrom a just an overall performance, you're

(12:05):
right. People expected a big stepfour from Trevor Lawrence and he's just he's
Kenny Pickett. I mean, he'sjust not throwing touchdowns. He's low yardage.
The run game is eating in Jacksonville, and he's just the passing just
isn't there. There's been a bigstep backwards this season for that. So
I still think that, I stillthink it's actually I think my final answer

(12:26):
now was Tua just looking at itand being like, you should be way
way higher than this, Like theway how electric this offense is? How
are you not scoring more points? But I think you could you can make
an argument for both Mahomes and TrevorLawrence as well. All right, to
the running back, Yeah, let'sgo running back. So we know the

(12:46):
MVP of the running back is obviouslyMcCaffrey, there's no no question about that.
Let's talk so other than McCaffrey, who is your MVP? It's I
have his etn man. Travesse tnis having a hell of a season.
This is the traves Ytn that Ithought we would see coming out of Clempson,

(13:07):
the like the one running back Ithought was worthy of a first round
draft pick. Just he he didn'thave a great week against San Francisco at
San Francisco, give him a littlebit of give him a little bit of
the entire offense, didn't have agood day before the bye. He had
two games of under running back tenYeah, and three straight games of two

(13:28):
or more touchdowns. Just absurd thingshappening. Yeah, and he had his
own little streak of at least fourweeks with the touchdown. So he's at
He's at seven rushing touchdowns now addanother one on the in the air.
He is having a fantastic rushing yearwith about let me see what it is
about six hundred and eighteen yards. We're starting to get a little bit more

(13:50):
receptions involved here. Trasy Tan isjust this is the what we wanted.
We wanted to see that passing gamepart of it. We wanted to see
him off these big runs because again, he's not a guy who is getting
five yards after six yards after fiveyards, six yards, it's more of
like three four five twenty yard run. That's what we're looking There's what we're

(14:11):
looking for. Yeah, the pop, the pop in the run game.
Yeah, it took him three yearsto get here, but we're finally getting
getting the guy we expected at tens. My answer to technically Raheem Mostart has
one more point. He probably willfall under my biggest surprise of the year.
But uh yeah, I mean atthe end here right now is definitely
the MVP of Christian mccaff who yougot thanost So uh, without a doubt,

(14:35):
he's been awesome. You know whatI'm a little bit surprised of.
And this is a big jump fromrunning back three to ETN or running back
four is about thirty points. Yeah, Josh Jacobs, even after a slow
start, is running back four.Yeah, I was. I was holnestly
surprised about that too, because hisfirst couple of games were like same.
Alcamar missed literally three game for runningback five. I think that may speak
more so to injuries than anything else, because we've had to feel like we've

(14:56):
had a decent amount of injuries here. But uh, which leads to so
let's talk about your biggest surprise ofthe running back so far. Who is
who shocked you here most Most ofit is technically running back to right now
with one hundred and seventy one points. Your other option, I think is
Brian Robinson, who is somehow runningback six and like nobody's talked about it,

(15:20):
he's had like he's been a hottercold guy. He's been. He's
thirteen twenty eight seven, thirteen eight, thirteen eight nine, like he's very
hot and cold. But when thosebig games hit, he's he's putting up
mad points. He really has.Raheem is surprising, not because I think

(15:41):
he's a not he's overperforming, becauseI do think Raheem Mostert's a really good
running back and he's in a systemthat really fits him, so it's hard
to be I didn't expect him tobe running back too. For me,
I think the biggest surprise is BrianRobinson, who to me is just your
run of the mill. He hasthe size, he has a little bit
of burst he has. He's justgood enough to be sticking around. If

(16:03):
you're on a team and you're goingto be featured like that, you're going
to have these opportunities like Brian Robinson'sgetting. So that was probably the biggest
surprise for me, for Brian Robinsonbeing running back six. Yeah, but
that's the thing. He's running backsix with only two games above being running
back ten. Yeah, both timeshe was running back one. Yeah,

(16:26):
running back number one twice. Thatsmells like boomer bust. Yes, that's
a big boomer bust if we've everheard one. Uh yeah. I think
injuries here have really slowed this stuffdown because like looking at some of these
names, I'm very surprised that someof these guys are up here. Obviously,
like Zach Moss is still a toptennis running back. He's boy.
Yeah, so he's running back eleven, but yeah we're Mandra Stevenson, who
we don't consider him having a greatseason, is running back fourteen. Right,

(16:51):
Yeah, I mean it is.It's shocking, Which is a good
transition to who do you think hasbeen the most disappointing because I think there's
actually a couple names up here thatwe could have a conversation about. But
I know he's still running back twelve, But it has to be Dereck Henry
for me. Interesting, Derek Henryis definitely on that list. For me
too, it's just the inconsistency. You're getting eighteen, then two, then

(17:12):
twenty four, the nine, thenineteen, and then three. So it's
been tough because it's been super inconsistent. It's hard to pinpoint when he's gonna
be ginning the work, and theyjust keep giving work to Tajy Spears.
They love Tajy Spears and almost Ifeel like the Titans are just waiting for
Derek Henry to walk out the doorso they can feature him, even though

(17:32):
they still would draft another running backthe next day. I think my answer
here is going to be Tony Pollard. He's currently running back twenty. I
don't think he's found the end zoneyet this year, so sorry, he
has not found the end zone sincehis two touchdowns in Week one. And
this is just the for the Cowboysare such a head scratch because I feel

(17:53):
like they're so hot and cold onlike what they're doing. One week,
they're really really good, this offenselooks like a's tummin and then the next
week they looked at they can't goout of their own way. Pollard was
a guy that people expected to takethis huge step forward. And we were.
You and I were both a littlehesitant on that, or at least
I was, And where you draftedhim or where you valued him, You're

(18:14):
not getting that production out of himright now, and I think that,
you know, running back twenty forPollard is probably a huge, huge loss,
especially when it's not like, oh, well he missed three games.
He's played in every game. Yes, he's just not getting he's not producing
like we expected him to this season. You can also say Madison was another
one of those guys that was andwe sniffed up Madison, or we did,

(18:37):
but not everybody else did. FairAlso, we could talk about Jay
and Warren being a bit of asurprise. He's been featured currently has more
Fancy Points than nause It, hasmore Fantasy Points than Javonte Williams, has
more than Jonathan Taylor, has morethan Aaron Jones, has more than those
are all injured, though those areall injury guys. You can also argue

(18:59):
Jamier games Juier gives is surprising thathe is what running back thirteen now thirteen.
I expected him to be closer tothat RB like eighteen to twenty in
his first years. So after hecame back from injury. He missed weeks
five and six. Since then,he's had twenty seven six. That is
a mean running game between him andDave Montgomery right now. That is just

(19:22):
that whole team is just the meanteam at this point. It may have
been just a slow starter for him. HM any other awards we want to
talk about for the running backs, not necessarily. Let's move on to wide
receiver. Let's do the wide recevers. Uh Tyree kokinstandos. Who's your MVP,

(19:42):
Who's your most valuable wide receiver? It's gotta be Keenan Allen. Man,
Keenan Allen is playing like it's twothousand and thirty, like it's twenty
fourteen all over again. He hasbeen impressive. Keen Allen has been playing
outstanding football. I think that threeweeks of wide receiver one three weeks being

(20:03):
the number one receiver in fantasy football. The catchy, I feel like it's
all highlighted by like the catch hegot for his ten thousand yard where he
makes that crazy acrobatic catch to doso. Keenan Allen just still shows that
he is still one of the bestreceivers in this entire league, not even
just in a fantasy standpoint, andit's really nice now that there's nobody else

(20:26):
there to like take away targets aroundthem. There's no Mike Williams. They
still don't put full faith into QuentinJohnston. They're missing I forget the other
wide receiver's name that they're missing rightnow. Is it Palmer? Yeah,
Josh Palmer. Jalen Guiden's the thingnow. People are putting big waiver claims

(20:47):
in right now for Jalen Guyton, and I'm like, oh wow, I'm
having deja vu. But Keen Allenis just nasty this year. Man.
He is just looking every part oftwenty four at their one right now.
Yeah, I mean for you're right, for his age and everything, he
looked really really impressive. I meanyeah, he's thirty one years old.

(21:07):
He's Yeah, he is exciting.I'm gonna put my boat in for AJ
Brown though, because this man hasbeen on a mission. Yes, we'll
talk a little bit about how Tyreekplays the game. Keenan Allen and AJ
Brown play the wide receiver position invery different ways, and I just I
thoroughly enjoy watching a J. Brownplay. He's just a massing yards.

(21:29):
He's a massing catches, one says, don't touch me, One dares that
somebody to touch him. Right,Yeah, he's already he already has a
thousand yards and six touchdowns on theyear. I mean, it's is incredibly
impressive as to how well he's beenplaying, and he's really helped anchor that
pass game for Jalen Hurts. Sofor me, I think it's got to

(21:51):
be a j Brown. Biggest surpriseyou have. We have a lot here
there are theling I think being widereceiver nine is a huge surprise. That's
a guy that, if you weretalking redraft, you were getting in the
last handful of rounds. Yes,the obvious surprise that nobody saw coming was

(22:14):
Pokin Nakua, who I feel likehas taken a little has calmed down in
the past couple of weeks. Ithink you could probably attribute that to them
losing staff her. Yeah, yeah, the quarterback play has fallen off.
Yeah, but yeah, he hewas a surprise. I think Jordan Addison
coming on so strongly was a surprise. Didn't expect him to be wide receiver
thirteen right now, that I sureas hell didn't expect. Yeah, uh

(22:37):
so, I think those are probablymy my I think mine's Pooka at least
with theeling, we were like, you're getting a super cheap wide receiver one
with this grant. We didn't thinkthis type of wide receiver one, but
you're getting a super cheap wide receiverone that was gonna get fed targets.
We thought Pooka Nakoul was maybe astash play because they're like, oh,

(22:59):
they don't another guy there. They'vebeen looking for the Robert Woods replacement.
This guy kind of fits the mold. This could work out like this.
We did not expect this and forPooka to be an absolute dog out of
the gate. Yeah, I agree. I'm gonna give my award to the
Thieland though I mean he's thirty threeyears old, he is on a rebuilding
team with a rookie quarterback, andhe is producing at an incredibly high level.

(23:25):
I like, I said, thisis a guy you're getting literally the
last two or three rounds in yourin your redraft leagues, and he's giving
you wide receiver nine production is youcould not ask for. When you average
ten targets, that's insane. He'sonly had thirty three. He's only had
less than ten points. Twice thisyear. He's consistently in the twenties and
the fifteens. He is a greatasset on my UH, on my MANRA

(23:51):
and CD team. I also haveAdam delend Let's go the one team that's
my favorite team. Uh. DisappointWho who's been our biggest, biggest bust
through ten weeks? Hmmm? Wehave a lot more contenders here. Yes,
there's a lot of surprises here.I want to go a couple names

(24:15):
here. I'm gonna just start goingoff the top of my head. I
think of DeAndre Hopkins, I thinkis a big one. I'm thinking of
someone like Calvin Ridley. Yeah,I'm thinking of somebody like DK Metcalf wide
receiver thirty eight. Right, Yeah, that's a good one. I think
the biggest disappointment would because we weren'tone hundred percent sure what we were getting

(24:40):
out of Calvin Ridley, so it'shard to say he was a true like
disappointment. Yeah, same with THiggins. T Higgins has been a disappointment.
But this is like injury. Thisis injury. I'm trying to keep
it away from injuries. So Ithink, with all that being said,
I think I have to go probablyDeAndre Hopkins. I was very on the

(25:03):
train of DeAndre Hopkins can make anysituation work. This is one where it
seems where the trend of this Tennesseeis the place where older receivers go to
die. Is starting to seem alittle bit more coming to fruition than I
wanted it to be. Yeah,he's been frustrating. I think the Tannehill
effect really got to him. Ifit'll be interesting to see if Will Levis

(25:27):
can continue to pepper him. Thatwas kind of them of the past couple
weeks since Levis has been playing, but it's still been a bit of a
struggle for him as well. I'mgonna be taking DK metcalf here. I
was. I was actually shocked tolike, look down, I don't I
don't think I have any DK shares, But to be wider one, to

(25:47):
be a wide receiver thirty eight whenyou were drafted to be you know,
a top low end wide one, yeah, low and a top fifteen guy,
like that's a huge drop off invalue in return. And if you
drafted him, your probably your teamis probably not doing great. So I'm
gonna I'm gonna go that route becauseit's been quite a quite a roller coaster
there. M hm uh so thatwas a big surprise. As MVP is

(26:12):
there, who's your I was gonnasay, who's your favorite rookie tight end
or rookie running back, but orwide receiver. But I think it's just
I think Addison is really head andshoulders above. Pooka's obviously there too,
I guess because he's a rookie.Uh, and then you can maybe save
with Shue Rice, but he's justso far down that they're still like Jack

(26:33):
Smith and Jigba, who we stillhave a lot of faith in. Well,
yeah, I'm only just spent throughten weeks of like production Jason.
For me, it would be Addison, yeah over Pooka just for this year,
I mean through ten weeks then andthen maybe it's Pooka. Yeah.
I still think Addison's in a intenselytalented receiver. Puga just made Pugas just

(26:59):
made so many where I'm just like, I'm not saying I was ragging on
Pooka during the whole draft process, but I didn't really think too much about
Pooka. Yeah, nobody really talkedabout poo Yeah. It was just like,
oh, this guy isn't in mylast here, but he's sure not
in my top like top three rounds. Yeah, like, but he's just
somewhere solid. I've take I've takenhim in a couple dark brow lead in
drafts, but that every game, even the games that he wasn't doing a

(27:23):
whole lot, like even the oneagainst Pittsburgh, it was one recent I
can most recently think of, hewas still make a players. I'm like,
this dude's incredible. Yeah, yeah, he's still he's still very active.
Yeah, I liked I talked toyou away from Adison so I could
take him when you when you lookat that that Viking see move has been
on that streak and there's no justinJefferson. Addison has stepped up and filled

(27:45):
some very big shoes. He's notplaying as good as Addison or as good
as Jepson is, but that offensehas not missed a beat with with Addison
being the wide receiver one, andthat's been awesome. Yeah, Addison is
fully on the jail wattle hype,Like you're gonna take him as with like
the low end wide receiver ones asa high end wide receiver two. Yeah,

(28:07):
agreed, tight ends I feel likeare are pretty straightforward. H T.
J. Hockinson is what is tightend one. I think that's a
surprise to a lot of people.I'm not sure if it's it is a
surprise that we always expected to beKelsey. He's twenty points above Kelsey,
which I think is a surprise. He is. Yeah, he's had.
He has almost nineteen more catches eighteenmore catches math uh and almost one hundred

(28:34):
more yards. He's been. Imean, we're talking about we're talking a
lot about Vikings today, but hehas been filling that hole too, in
the middle of the field for Dobbsand whoever else has been playing quarterback for
them. And yeah, it's beenhe's been hell impressive. That trade that
that they that they did seems tohave really worked out. How about your

(28:57):
boy, You're pull boy. JakeFerguson a top ten tight end in Fantasy.
Hey, man, I told you, he's he's like a he's a
Heith Miller kind of guy. He'she's just he's not gonna be the sexiest
guy, but he's gonna he'll bea decent red zone He's got four red
zone touchdowns on the year, orfour touchdowns on the year. Excuse me.

(29:18):
You know, he's he's got arole there. They you know,
they tried to replace him, butthey drafted a guy I think, didn't
they? And uh Scoo maker.Yeah, And I just he's a he
is a good tight end. He'she's an adequate run blocker, he's gonna
be on the field. He's agood player. So I'll put this is
my surprise, and it's less ofa surprise but more of a let's start

(29:41):
having a serious discussion about this. What if Cole comett Is puts up another
year where he is a top sixfive tight end, how are we gonna
start talking about him as a topfive to six dynasty asset or not asset,
but tight end. I should sayComet is a strange one. Talking
like tight ends under like the topthree or four guys is like not fun

(30:04):
to do. But you're right. He was tight in seven last year.
He's currently tight in five and he'son paced for just a ton of points.
And even with Tyson Badgint and JustinFiel's not playing well this year,
he's a guy that, I yeah, that deserves to be given credit in
that kind of young up and comingtight ends with Sam Laporta, who is

(30:26):
really he's not really up and coming. He has came, yes, but
uh, you know guys like thatthat are in that next tier of like,
okay, if you miss out onthe big three or four guys here,
you're okay getting cole Comet, youknow, a couple of rounds later
and sawing him into be a weeklystarter and not thinking twice about it.

(30:48):
Freaking report though. I mean, that's that's the biggest surprise of all that's
a surprise of all surprises. Hehas just been incredibly consistent. It's he's
just going. Man, that's agood tight end, and it's it's awesome
to see they somehow did exactly whatthey wanted to do. They got more

(31:08):
weapons for Jared Goff with somebody who'snot going to step on the toes of
a Monroe Saint Brown right exactly.Yeah, which which is if you feel
like you're trying to thread a needlethere, but uh yeah, I agree,
that's that was a That was agreat ad tight end. Disappointments are
tough. Kyle Pitts is the onlyreal answer though, he is it is

(31:33):
this is just a lesson where youlook at things and you say this is
why you this is why these moldsare kind of here. Sometimes I don't
know what it is. I don'tknow if it's the injuries that have caught
up to him, if it's theoffense just not being quite good, if
it's Desmond Ridder being that bad,he is just not making an impact on
the field. Yeah, for me, I think if we're going straight,

(31:56):
just play. I know he's injurednow, but that doesn't excuse me.
Beforehand, Darren Waller is the biggestbusts for a tight end for me.
You were still pits. I thinkover pits, yes, and granted they're
right next to each other, likeeighty points, but yeah, god,
Waller was just playing atrociously and wherehe was brought in like you were expecting
him to be the number what atough five tight end, the number one

(32:21):
option on your team for the Giants, and he just brought nothing to that
team. Yeah. I don't knowhow much of that is him or is
Daniel Jones, but what we expectedout of Darren Waller is not what we're
getting and it is certainly been adisappointment. But yeah, now he's on

(32:43):
IR, I'm sure he'll try andcome back later in the season, but
just a really, really disappointing seasonfor the Giants as a whole. But
Darren Waller has felt the brunt ofthat for sure. I think that's pretty
much it. I mean, wetalked about rookies. I think kind of
across the board. If you said, we said, we promised you,

(33:04):
we wanted to put something out ofhere, but was there anything else you
wanted to cover before we give, before we let the people go. Not
necessarily, not necessarily, just we'regetting to the point where everyone's like one
or two wins away if you're acompetitive team from clinching your playoff spot.
So I'm really like on my sleepermore actively than I probably should be at
times. Yeah, I hope you'renot listening to work, But yeah,

(33:29):
it's that is the one thing. It is trade deadline week for most leagues.
So this is about the time whereyou've got to either make a push
and and make a play or selloff some assets and try and get some
picks for next year. But yeah, it's this is the fun time of
year when you get to really startmaking some trades. People start perking up

(33:50):
again and trying to make moves andand deals can be made, so this
is a fun time of year.Be sure to falls on Twitter at jet
set Dinas. Like I said,we will not be doing an episode next
week because JB is doing some familytraveling, so we'll be back in two
weeks after the Thanksgiving break. Soas always, we are very thankful for

(34:10):
you guys. So this is ourThanksgiving episode now, Thankful for you guys,
Thankful for fun, thankful, thankfulfor football, Thankful for Houston Texans
skilled position players. Yeah, whichis a weird thing. We didn't think
we'd say this year. All right, we'll see you guys in two weeks
and bye, goodbye.
