Speaker 2 (01:04):
Good evening and welcome to Journey with Joan, only on
the fold Brave TV Network, where we dive delve into
the depths of spirituality, self discovery, and the connections that
shape our lives. In today's episode, we are going back
to the basics spiritually speaking, and what does that mean.
(01:28):
It means let's break down everything. So whether you've been
a seasoned you've been on your journey for a long time,
or you're just starting, sometimes it's best to really break
everything and go right back down to the basics and
(01:51):
start just to see where we're going. So basically, when
we are working on our spiritual journey, it's about the journey.
It's not about the end goal or the finish line.
(02:12):
Shall we shall we say?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
So when we talk about being spiritual and getting back
into spirituality.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Does that mean we need to.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Have a real like does it need to be with
the religion, organized religion? No, Spirituality really is understanding and
realizing that there is a higher power other than ourselves.
And so when we break that down and we actually
(02:47):
think about it, we are here on Earth and Earth
is a rock in our galaxy, floating and we just
happened to be living on the best one, the most
inhabited one, of course. Right, so again, how did how
(03:10):
did we land there? How did we get here?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Does it matter? Now?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
So? Life really is good and we are okay?
Speaker 3 (03:23):
All right?
Speaker 2 (03:24):
So again, spiritual journeys, they are very personable, personal, They
are individual to each person, and it really breaks it down,
what do you want for you? How do we want
(03:50):
to live our lives? Now, I apologize, it looks like
my camera's a bit fun. It is snowing here, it
was blizzarding, But so that might be why you know
Elon Musk is not riding a very good service at
(04:13):
the moon.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Anyways, let's break it down.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Okay, So spirituality does it need to have organized religion?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
No, it doesn't.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
We just need to realize that within ourselves. There is
a higher deity or a higher being, whomever it is.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Do you have to call it God? You know?
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Do you have to call them Jesus? No, it's you
could go Creator, you could go universe. Whichever suits your
fancy and whichever makes you feel better for you. Okay.
So again, it's about the journey, not the day destination.
(05:01):
When we walk our journey, we're not.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
So most people.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
When we look at it as the destination, it's like,
let's race there, let's get there as fast as we can.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Let's just.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Let's take the shortcut, Let's do whatever we can to
get there. Now on this spiritual journey, is the destination
really clear? It isn't. There were a few people that
roamed this earth that actually got to the destination, but
(05:42):
and you would call them enlightened. But I would like
to say that most people this like day and age,
won't necessarily get there. And if you were to ask
Buddha or Jesus or any of the other gods, they
(06:09):
would probably tell you too that they did not arrive
at the finish line, that they were still learning, because
it's still about finding that. Okay.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
I don't like the word finding.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
It's about realizing who we are and what makes us thrive,
what brings us back down, like lower is our energy. Okay,
So to go back to basics is to disconnect, disconnect
(06:50):
from devices and just live, be present, go in nature,
listen to nature. So not just go and walk, because
you could go and walk, you could have headphones on. Now, yes,
is it okay to listen to music, Yes, it is.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
However, with.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Listening to music, you get lost in your world of
the music and not really fully being present, so meaning
you're not aware of your surroundings. Your basic instincts are
not there because you're listening to headphones. You're listening to music,
(07:42):
so your body is attached to the music instead of
being attached to nature. So grounded to nature. So when
we go out in nature and we are fully present,
you could hear every crackle of a little twig that broke,
(08:02):
So you could hear animals walking that are probably one
hundred to two hundred feet away. Especially when you connect
and you are really fully present, you look at everything
and you see everything. I believe, like even Buddha, I
(08:28):
think Buddha said you could even hear the flutter of
the butterfly wings, right, so again, being one with nature
is really fully being immersed in your surroundings understanding everything.
So like in Canada when it's snowing out, people say,
(08:53):
you know, we can tell what the temperature is just
on the sound of the snow crunching under our feet.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
So the more.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Crunchy or I don't even know how, like just really
it's like a different sound. You can tell that it's
like minus twenty or colder. And if there's like barely
any sounds, then you know, Or if it's a more
(09:31):
squishy sound, then it would be closer to zero or
thirty two degrees s rhight, right, So you've got all
these different things and if you immerse yourself into nature,
it will tell you. So And I was called to
(09:53):
talk about going back to the basics because I'd met
someone the other day and they were talking about how
they meditate a lot, and they meditated for years, but
they still have a problem with connecting to their guides, right,
(10:18):
And it really comes back down to expectations and perceptions.
And they weren't too happy with me because I did
say to them, you're getting in your own way. You
(10:38):
have a perception on how they should communicate with you.
The person just got really angry with me, and I said,
I don't know what to say except for yes, I
understand that you've been meditating for however many years, for
sure twenty years, and you haven't been able to connect.
(11:05):
And but and he goes, They're like, well, of course
I have perceptions, I have expectations, but right there by
having those expectations actually ruins the moment of being fully present, right.
(11:31):
And someone also said to me, well, you wouldn't just
go to another country without a map and go seeing things.
But you know what, actually I have done that. And
I guess it's I'm aging myself here a little bit
(11:52):
because when I went to Europe in two thousand, in
the year two thousand, I did have the map, per se,
but it was a book, right, and the book was thick.
I'm trying to think, if I have a book, it's
probably like a book like this, right, thick? And was
(12:17):
I going to roam around Paris with that book?
Speaker 3 (12:22):
Now?
Speaker 2 (12:23):
I kind of looked at it kind of went, you
know what, I kind of kind of know where I
want to go.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
I'm going to be fully present.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
I'm just going to go where in the direction of
where Notre Dame Is and the Eiffel Tower, because those
were the main things that I wanted to see, okay,
And so I also carried around my roller blades, which
(12:52):
was crazy. So I did roller blade around in Paris
on the cobblestone, which was, you know, in itself, was
quite interesting. Almost got run over a little bit, but
that's besides the story. But did I get lost. No.
I used a lot of my intuition, and my partner
(13:13):
at the time was like, we should look at a map,
and I'm like, no, we'll figure it out. Like I
know which street our hotel is on. We'll get there,
not a big deal. I have the edgress of the
hotel will be fine. But so that right there is
(13:36):
being fully in the moment and immersing yourself within the
culture of being in Paris, right like, so I think
I Rember. I think we actually did take the metro, which,
of course you know. Then there's the map and it
tells you where to kind of tells you where to
(13:57):
get off, but you have do somewhat understand French, so
you could understand which lines go where, north, south, right, east, west,
all those.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Things in order to get there.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
And again I like to really, when I go to
another country, I like to be fully immersed within the
culture and kind of see where everything takes me. Now,
I understand in some countries that is not necessarily the
(14:36):
safest bet.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Right.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
So, even in the Philippines, where I was born, I
know there are certain things there where they can tell
I am a foreigner even though I was born there.
They can tell that I actually don't live there. They
(15:02):
just can tell just how I present myself. And actually
because I wear shorts and I wear shorts leeve shirts
when I'm there, right not most Filcino people don't want
to get quote unquote dark, and so they will wear
a ton of sunscreen, that wear a sunshirt that covers
(15:25):
you know, their arms right to hear and it goes
to you their you know, high neck, and they wear jeans.
And I can't do that in plus thirty plus thirty
five Celtius. It's just way too hot for me. But again,
(15:46):
those are some of those things. And again you would
go back to your intuition and figure that out. Find
that out before you go anywhere. You would already know
that certain places are not places where you can just
roam freely without knowing the safety of things all right.
(16:13):
So again it's about being fully present and fully aware
of all your surroundings that no one could really come
up behind you because you are so fully present, you
can feel their energy coming up behind you.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
All right.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
And on that note, we're gonna give some love to
our engineers.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Will be back into.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Welcome back, you're watching journey with Johan Only on the
Bold for You TV Network, And today we're talking we're
going back to the basics. We're talking about the basics
spiritually speaking, getting back to our foundations and the roots.
And again, it doesn't matter how long you have been
(19:13):
on your journey, because it's not about the destination.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
It's about the journey.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
And sometimes it's good to shake things back up. And
because we get complacent to our journey and we forget
about the little things. Right, Yes, we meditate, but are
you going out in nature? Are you disconnecting from your phone?
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Are you doing.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Getting connected with yourself connected mind and body? Are you
being fully present? Okay, so those are some of the
things again, being very mindful of your you know, being mindful,
(20:04):
being here, being mindful and watching your thoughts. Sometimes we're
just you know, we're on our journey. We meditate, so
now we just forget that. Sometimes our thoughts can start
running off with things and some stress can come up
(20:26):
and it just hits us. And then the thoughts just
keep going and going and we don't even It's not
that we don't know it's there, but sometimes but we don't.
I don't know how else to say. It, so we
(20:47):
know it's there, but we don't because we are so
used to instead of honoring that and saying thank you
and letting go, because sometimes when the thoughts run rampant,
it can cause a lot of stress within our body,
and our bodies start to accumulate this stress and start
(21:10):
to react, and when we forget about okay, well, letting
things go, understanding that, you know, maybe that was a
trigger from a while ago that we go, okay, let's pause,
acknowledge it, think it, think it, and then go okay, well,
(21:33):
that no longer serves me. Why would we allow a
situation that happened five years ago to start to ruin
our day today. It just doesn't make sense, right Like,
did it give us a huge reaction? Yes, it did
(22:00):
in the past, But does that mean we're not okay
right now, right here, right now now?
Speaker 3 (22:08):
Did it bubble up?
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Yes, But what that really means is that a part
of that experience that we experienced five years ago we
kept and we sheft it down, and now it's bubbling up,
going hey, I'm still here. And so instead of just
(22:32):
ignoring it, we acknowledge it and we say thank you,
and you just let it go. Because that's no longer you,
it no longer serves you. There's no reason for it
to ruin your day or even make you feel less
than in the moment. Okay, so those kind of things,
(22:58):
we can go back to gratitude sometimes, you know, we
are grateful, we say our are like what we're grateful
for daily, But when we've done it for years, sometimes
we get complacent and we forget that when we look
(23:20):
even at the sunset, because the sunset's never the same,
even though people will say, no, it's exactly the same,
Actually it's not.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
It really isn't.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
The lights, the light refracting on different parts of the
landscape are always a little bit different. There are different shades,
they have hues of maybe.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Purple or orange or red.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Even so there's all these different things to be grateful for,
right Like my son's like, I'm like, come look at
the northern lights with me, because we get them quite
often here.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
We're very lucky.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
And I live in the country, and the countryside where
I live is they nicknamed it dark sky Country, and
literally you can't see anything when it's a new moon,
so you can't you can't really see your hand in
front of your face. So it's great when you want
(24:26):
to take you know, when you're looking like stargazing or
looking at the northern lights, because it's just phenomenal and
you see all the different bright colors and so the tangent.
Sorry to get off on that tangent, however, my son said, no,
I've seen it. I like, once you've seen it's they're
(24:49):
all the same, and really it isn't. I respect what
he had to say, and I'm like, no, you have
you have to come out and see, like, there's so.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
So, so so different.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
I remember looking at them when I was younger, racing
out to the country.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
And it's like raining on me.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
But they were mostly white and kind of green, yellowish green, right,
and now they're full on colors. You've got purple, you've
got pink, you've got some red, there's the yellow whiteish,
then you've got the lime green, and it's.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
It's just amazing to me. And so again that's.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Being grateful for what you get to witness and what
you get to see, right, because if you think about
the Northern lights in itself, so many things have to
happen in order for those lights to be displayed for
you to see, right, so there either has to be
(26:02):
a solar flare, but it's not always solar flares. The
solar flares allow it to get seen further down, but
in like the north part of the globe, they're always there.
And I've spoken to some Native friends or First Nation friends,
(26:24):
and they have told me when they lived up north,
when they were a kid, they could literally kind of
grab the lights and then like play with it like
a ball and throw it to each other and they
would kind of bounce the energy of the northern lights together.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Isn't that.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Isn't that amazing? I would love to see that. And
again it's I guess it's just different perspection perspective. Some
people might think that's not cool, excuse me, or that
some people might go, well, if you look at it,
(27:10):
they're like, well, then.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
That's not great because of how do I like.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Because the solar flares aren't great for the earth et cetera,
et cetera. Right, So all these different things, so you
could look at it that way in a negative light,
or you could look at it as wow, I get
to experience all of this, I get to feel the energy,
I get to get showered with all these northern lights.
(27:43):
I get to see falling stars. Right, And again, if
you catch a falling star, how many millions or billions
light years away as that? And you catch it and
there's no way of it on film unless you have
(28:04):
your camera just sitting there watching you, and you know
it's a meteor shower going on. But really, again, being
fully present and just being aware of everything, you see it.
You see it, something in the corner your eye. You
take a look, and there it is and it falls
and it's it's quite amazing. And again it's grateful. So
(28:28):
being grateful, being kind, showing kindness to everyone you meet,
it doesn't matter. Kindness is really key for everyone and
for humanity. You don't know what the other person is
going through at that time. It can be a smile
(28:51):
that shows them that you acknowledge their presence. Right. Some
people don't get ignored knowledgement like that. Some people feel lonely.
Some are sometimes they feel like no one cares about them.
So waving at them, even smiling and acknowledging their presence
(29:18):
shows them that they matter and that their presence on
this earth actually matters, and someone gives a shit about them, right,
And it doesn't again, doesn't mean that you have to
befriend them or do you you know, like they got
to be your best friend and you got to take
(29:40):
care of them.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
That's not what it is.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
It's really being kind and spreading the kindness, which the
kindness becomes spreading love, right, because again, universal love and
being spiritual is about love and kind and feeling the
(30:02):
love within yourself that you emanate it out towards everyone
no matter what.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
And as we emanate.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
It out, it spreads that joy, love and light out.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
And if you want to talk.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
About karma speaking because some people go, well what about karma, well,
being fully aware and fully present then being kind to everyone,
smiling to someone, you really kind of take care of
the karma of its own because when you do those things,
(30:44):
it doesn't even really matter because you're breaking down the
karma as you go. There's no karma to be had
if you be present and you're kind of and you
spread love and joy, right. I know it sounds ridiculous
(31:06):
and it's kind of weird, but it really does break
things down that there won't be any karma because you're smiling,
you're emanating the love. So again, it's about being grateful
and you know, there's so many things. Even when we
(31:30):
are you know, we've been doing this for a long time,
we just forget and minor things start to irritate us.
The car in front of us starts driving and they're
driving super slow, or you want to pass them, and
then all of a sudden they speed up, or you know,
(31:51):
they instead of driving in the middle of the line
and they kind of move out a little bit so
you can't see where if there's another car so you
could pass them. Right, So again, those those kind of
things do they bother you? Are you allowing that to
(32:14):
fester and be angry? And then it again that ruins
your energy and your flow because that's cutting the flow
of kindness because now all of a sudden, you're emanating
this hate, you're emanating disgust. And do you feel the
energy where it it's lowering all of a sudden, because
(32:38):
it's like, oh, my goodness, how why are you going
so slow? What the right? Like?
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Why why does this bug us so much? All right?
Speaker 2 (32:51):
And so more love to our sponsors will be back into.
Speaker 1 (32:58):

Welcome back.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
You're watching Journey with Joan only on the Bold Break
TV Network. On this podcast, we delve into the depths
of spirituality, self discovery, and the connections that shape our lives. Today,
we are talking about going back to the basics, getting
back to the roots of spirituality, because again, it's not
(35:25):
about the destiny that destination, it's about the journey and
getting ourselves ready and continuing on this journey that we
call life. Before the Break, we were talking about how
you know you could be the most zen person, but
(35:46):
when you're driving, someone in front of you decides to
go twenty kilometers lower than the posted speed rate, or
let's say ten five miles lower than the posted rate,
(36:06):
and you know, we start to get agitated. We're like, what,
why are they doing this? I don't understand what right.
We get ourselves out worked up, and then all of
a sudden, we're no longer present because we're hyper focused
on the fact that the person in front of us
doesn't know how to read the posted speed limits and
(36:29):
doesn't know how to drive because obviously they're.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
Not driving the posted speed limits. And then when you.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Try and pass, they move over a little bit towards
the center line so you can see if there's anyone there,
so you have room to pass again, So do those
things start to work you up? And if they do again,
it's going, okay, great, let's make a game out of this.
(36:56):
Let's get back to the basic. Take a deep breath. Okay,
we're gonna be We're going to be zen about this.
We're going to be fully present. Okay, can make a
game out it. Okay, let's see how slow they can
go and just enjoy it. Enjoy the view, enjoy the drive,
(37:20):
because again, there might be a reason why you're not
able to pass them. There might be a reason why
you're supposed to be late or slow. Maybe there was
a big accident, or maybe there's a herd of animals
crossing the road, the main highway, and if you were
(37:44):
driving your normal speed or Heaven forbid speeding and you
end up being in the middle of you know, the
animals crossing, that could be disastrous right again, Or there
is an accident and now all these different things. Or
(38:05):
you know, you're going somewhere, and if you had been
speeding to get to the restaurant or wherever you're going,
maybe you would have to wait, like drive around and
drive them around to find a parking spot. But because
you were a little bit later and it took you
a bit longer to get there, as soon as you
(38:28):
drive into the parking lot, boom you have Rockstar Parking.
It's right there. It was like your name was written
on the stall and it was waiting for you to
get there. So again, we can look at different situations
and we can allow things to bother us, or we
can be fully present and go, okay, well does it
(38:51):
have to go my way? Do we have to do
things this way again? And you know, when we're meditating
sometimes you know when we've been at this for a
long time. We start to say, dang it, like why
(39:14):
aren't you giving me any signs? Why aren't you communicating
with me? And then again that becomes expectations and in
a spiritual journey and on the path to enlightenment, if
you will. I don't really like to use that term
(39:34):
because it's very like again, us humans in this life
on Earth, I like, I don't know, and it doesn't
feel like again that we could.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
Ever obtain that on Earth.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Right now, we look at Buddha and we look at Jesus,
and they are the epitome of enlightenment.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Right.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
But again, like I said earlier, is they're gonna tell
you no. They had like I'm not fully enlightened. Am
I awake?
Speaker 3 (40:12):
Yes? But am I enlightened?
Speaker 2 (40:15):
No? Because I'm still learning, I'm still growing, I'm still
understanding everything. So even say Jesus, right, when he knew
when Judas kissed him on the cheek, right, he knew,
and then he's like, why are you forsaking me?
Speaker 3 (40:38):
God? Right?
Speaker 2 (40:39):
And then so even like he's asking why are you
doing this to me? Why did I do to deserve this? Right?
And again he was being fully present and understanding, and
really the only thing he had to do was just
let go because that was the only thing that he
(41:00):
could really do because he knew that was it was forthcoming.
It was going to come.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
There was no getting out of it. Right.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
So again, it's not about the destiny. It's about the journey.
And when we're on this journey and we start being
complacent about being grateful for things, and even when we're
meditating again, watching our breath, right understanding, Sometimes meditation is
(41:32):
we're sitting and we're observing all our thoughts, and you
know what, that's a great meditation, why because you're actually
observing your thoughts and you can actually understand what your
thoughts are saying to you, whereas typically you feel all
(41:52):
this stress and sometimes you don't even know when you're like,
my mind just won't hut up, and why won't it
hut up? Right? And I don't even know why it's
going a mile a minute. But so when we sit
still and we watch our breath, and you know, we
kind of get a little bit irritated a little bit
when our thoughts just keep going. But that's acknowledging what
(42:16):
we're observing, which is an amazing meditation and then you
can go, okay, you observe it, and then you just
let it go and you allow it to just be noise.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
You think it and you go okay, great, thank.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
You that no longer serves me. Thank you, I appreciate
you coming up. Thank you, right, and just allowing and
being so again, like if you've meditated forever and all
of a sudden you're like, why aren't I getting any.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
Energy exchange?
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Or I'm not any visions or I don't hear my
guides or angels talking to me. Again, that's a perception
that if you meditate, it has to happen. What happened
to just sitting still and watching your breath and zending out?
(43:25):
Why does it have to involve colors, visions, voices and again,
any normal person. And I'm gonna make a joke of this,
right like if you were to say, well, I'm not
hearing the voice as well, I meditate, so I could say, well,
(43:45):
I would hope not, because you're not schizophrenic.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
Are you?
Speaker 2 (43:50):
Right? So again right, Like, there's so many different ways
of thinking about this, and going this way is just
be grateful that you can you can en.
Speaker 3 (44:00):
Out and that you can watch your breath.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
And and if you can't count your breath because it's
too mundane and you think you're too you're thinking too much.
You could just go I am, I am, I am,
or you could do the ome, or you can do
all the other like only patterning hum right, and you
could do those over and over, but really you can
(44:28):
just go I am, I am, I am. And if
feelings bubble up to the surface and a trigger might
come up that you're like, oh, that's weird. I never
thought of that. That hasn't come in my train of
thought in years. Why is it here now? Well, it's
(44:52):
because we've been holding it within our body, and our
body is going, okay.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
You know, you're zending, we're releasing.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
You're becoming one with you know, mind, body, we're becoming one.
So we work together and we can you know, go
like go on this path. And if that came up, well,
what that just meant is we've shoved it down deep
and it's something that we just have to honor.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
We have to look at it and we go thank you,
thank you for showing me that, thank you.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
That no longer serves me and that no longer is me.
And you don't engage you let it go.
Speaker 3 (45:37):
Just let it go.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
Now, if you have an emotion about it and you
start to feel overwhelmed, allow it, just allow it, let
it be, let it flow, just wreathe, and it's okay
because again you're being fully pressed and it's a beautiful
(46:02):
thing to let that go. Because when we start to
let things go, we no longer need.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
To control our surroundings.
Speaker 2 (46:11):
We no longer need to control the things that we
feel that we need. Right, So, again, like if I
were to ask you what would it take for you
to be happy, most people will go, Okay, I, you know,
let's win the lottery. If I win the lottery, that
would be great because I could.
Speaker 3 (46:31):
Do X, Y and z. Or you know, if I
win the lottery, then I'll be less stressful.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
Or if I, you know, get land of my dream job,
then you know, life will be good. And you know,
that would mean I'd be making X amount of money
and then I could travel more, or I'd like to travel,
or I'd like to own a house, all these different things. Right,
we talk about monetary things, we talk about physical things.
(47:00):
Whereas when you're on a spiritual journey, yes, it's okay
to want those things. It's great you can have those things,
but that's controlling how you feel. Right, So you're not
happy unless you have X is basically what you've said.
(47:22):
So change that around and go let me find my happiness.
Let me be happy in the moment, be fully present
in the moment, and find the joy in that moment.
So whether you're watching kids in there, you know, like
(47:44):
you're at a park saying with your dogs or with
your own kids.
Speaker 3 (47:49):
Or again.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
You're just at the park and you see kids in
you know how kids giggle. It's the cutest thing, and
it's it's so joyous almost right that it can really
it's so cute that you find that joy, right, unless
(48:14):
you know, some people go, you know, no kids laughing
and giggling like that, that it drives me crazy because
they're so loud and it's blah blah blah. Right, again,
be grateful for that their kid is happy, they're showing love,
they're emanating joy, and they're spreading it to everyone around them. Okay,
(48:39):
So again it's it's it's that about oh I don't
like that, or that drive that guy's driving too slow.
That's trying to control our surroundings. Our surroundings, and unless
we can control our surroundings, we're not happy. So if
(49:00):
we're fully present and we're fully here and we meditate
and we have no expectations, we have no understanding of anything,
and we're just we just allow, then it doesn't matter
because we're letting go. We're just letting go. We're opening
(49:23):
ourselves up to the infinite possibility of whatever can happen
and come our way. But the moment we try and
hold onto things and we go no, and everything has
to be in their own boxes, right like, and they
have to meet all these different criterias, is when the
(49:48):
universe and our energy kind of get stifled and we
no longer can go with the flow because we expect
and we feel that we deserve, deserve to be controlling,
because that's the only way that.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
It works for us.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
But when you truly let go, you will see the
amazing beauty and the amazing energy that comes out. That
the energy just flows, your energy vibrates higher and then
thus opens all these infinite doors for you. And on
(50:33):
that note, we're opening doors for our sponsors. We'll be
back into.
Speaker 4 (50:42):

Speaker 3 (52:51):
Welcome back.
Speaker 2 (52:52):
You're watching Journey with Joan, only on the Bold Brave
TV Network. Here on Journey with Joan, Wee delvins the
depths of spirituality, self discovery and connections that shape our lives.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
Again.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
Today we are going back to the basics. We are
talking about spiritual journey, going back to the basics. It's
not about the destiny, destination, it's about the journey and
how we get there.
Speaker 3 (53:19):
So to start wrapping things up, what else we do
to go back down to the basics.
Speaker 2 (53:28):
When we've been doing this for a long time, we start,
you know, break things up, break like get change and reflect, reflect,
do a self reflection.
Speaker 3 (53:43):
Am I being grateful? Right?
Speaker 2 (53:46):
Because really the purpose of our days are to let
go of our past experiences, let go of what ails us,
let go, let go, let go. And when we can
let go, what does that do?
Speaker 3 (54:06):
When we let go?
Speaker 2 (54:08):
It helps us and it we evolve more spiritually? Right,
So we end up evolving spiritually. Our energy raises, the
vibration is higher. We you know, start to connect with
people that are similar to us.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
We get back into nature.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
We have the gratitude, We disconnect from being materialistic. And again,
there's nothing wrong with having things.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
The only time.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
I would say there's a wrongness to the things is
when you need those things to feel happy. Because the
moment those things, you know, like we go. You know,
if I get this car, I will feel amazing and
I will be super happy. But you know it's a
new car. It wears off after a while, and just
(55:12):
like the car smell right, the new car smell. Some
people love it, some people don't. I don't particularly like it,
but I have a sensitive snipper. However, you know, once
that wears off, then it's like, no, I need another
new car again. So you're relying on a physical thing
(55:37):
to make you happy instead of going, Wow, this is
a beautiful car. I can't believe I get to drive
this every day. I can't believe that this car belongs to.
Speaker 3 (55:50):
Me, do you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (55:51):
And feel grateful for it and enjoy it every day
instead of going you know, like, again, that's part of
control our universe, our own universe that rob walls around us, right,
that new car, then we're controlling that that makes us happy.
(56:13):
But you know what, maybe all of a sudden, the
tires are low because it's too cold, and then you
have to put air in it, and then you go, oh,
I should get a new car. This really sucks. Or
you know, you get a crack in your windshield, or
(56:33):
it's dirty. I don't know anything right, anything can set
you off to go. This no longer makes me happy because.
Speaker 3 (56:43):
It's old.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
Now I don't really care for it, right, But again,
if you didn't, if you don't care for it, then
nothing is going to make you feel happy because it's
it only takes one thing for that thing to change
in your mind and in your heart, and now it
(57:05):
no longer is.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
Does it for you? Right, So.
Speaker 2 (57:12):
Getting back to the basics is also getting back to community,
giving back to community, finding like minded people, joining groups
like that, if you will, getting back out instead of hermiting.
I know it's winter and especially here, you know, in
(57:33):
winterland Alberta.
Speaker 3 (57:36):
You know, I think it's great.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
You know it's it's a little bit gloomy, but you
know what, whatever, it's it's still winter here and I
it's pretty right. Get out, connect, you know, enjoy have
the fresh air, and don't allow like things like the
weather to destroy your day, to make it yucky because
(58:01):
it's like, oh now I got to drive in this thing,
and then you perpetuate all the negativity when you have
to get out and you have to go somewhere instead
of going, Okay, I get to drive in this lovely
weather and it's beautiful out look.
Speaker 3 (58:18):
At all the different scenery.
Speaker 2 (58:19):
Right again, get back and fancize and then exasize what's
really important to you. What's important to you? Is it
disconnecting from your phone. Is it getting out into nature.
Maybe you love hiking. If that's important to you, go
(58:41):
go and do some hikes. Go get some bootspikes so
that you can walk safely in the mountains or on
the trails or wherever you go hiking. Right, Remember gratitude. Gratitude, gratitude,
emanate the love. Be thankful for everything. Even you know,
(59:04):
if someone say says something to you that's not necessarily kind,
let's say, take a step back and be And I
know this is hard, and a lot of people will say, well,
how can I not take that personal? When they said
(59:27):
it clearly it was meant to be a jab at me,
And now you want me to say, don't take this personal.
What I'm saying is, take a deep breath and look
at it as if someone said that to your friend, right,
(59:51):
and observe it. And then instead of reacting emotionally and
then going like angry towards them, just allow and just go, Okay,
I understand that I don't know what I did, or
you're angry that wasn't very kind and you go that way.
(01:00:15):
So start to observe and allow and then let things go,
because again, if they were meant it to be a
stab at you. They've already long forgotten about it, and
you're still sitting there stewing about it, hurting your body
(01:00:35):
in your mind about this, and it's already gone.
Speaker 3 (01:00:38):
It's forgotten.
Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
Okay, So again back to the basics. Observe, relax, look
at your life and explore. I remember it's about the journey,
not the destination. And on that note, we could still
talk forever, but unfortunately we are out of town. You're
(01:01:02):
watching again. You're watching Journey with Joan, only on the
Bold Brave TV Network six pm Pacific, nine pm Eastern.
Embrace what feels the soul until next time.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
Good night.
Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
