(00:00):
Welcome back to another edition of theKeene County Preps basketball podcast. Jake Barbison,
Josh Wealgie here to wrap things upafter a whirlwind regular seasons and championship
games here on the line coming upthis weekend. But we've survived basketball season
and we're looking forward to breaking downsome of those games for our final time.
Josh, how are we doing thisweek? Yeah? Doing great?

(00:22):
It's a boy, It really hasbeen a blur. It's been. It
just feels like yesterday that I wasgetting ready to go to Yorkful Christian to
see the first basketball game of theseason, and now here we are,
and we're on the last weekend ofthe season with two days left, and
this is sort of our swan songwith a basketball podcast, but it's not
our swan song with podcasts in general, because as everybody knows, you know,

(00:44):
football starts next week, as doessoccer on the boys side and Vibe
on the girls side. But we'regoing to be continuing our podcasts going forward,
just we'll be talking football instead ofbasketball. So it's been it's been
a whirlwind. It's been a lotof fun. It's been great to see
kids being able to be out thereand compete, competing and coaches as well,

(01:07):
and some parents are able to seetheir kids play UM and you know,
for the most part, uh,you know, being able to do
it safely. There's been a fewuh COVID situations, which is natural bias.
COVID is still out there and andwe knew that was going to happen,
UM, But for the most part, it's it's been a pretty uh

(01:27):
pretty positive and smooth experience, atleast from where I'm sitting. Absolutely,
so, uh, you know,so much credit goes to UM. You
know, not only the programs involved, but coaches, athletic directors, UM.
You know, there's been plenty ofjanitors that I know that are spraying
down the gyms after each and everycontest. So there's so much more that

(01:51):
goes into putting on a basketball gamethan normal. So just to you know,
commemorate those people and to commend themfor the job that they did to
you know, get fans into hereand space and all that stuff. So
it's great, UM. You know, before we you know, kind of
talk about some of these championship gamesagain, remember to follow us on Twitter
at Jake Bartelston at Gwelge ninety six. Make sure you are subscribed to our

(02:15):
content and if you haven't already,it's a great time to do so.
Friday night drive. Um, youknow, footballs right around the corner,
as we've talked about, UM,but we've got a couple of championship games
here, Josh, Burlington Central againboth and on the girls and guy side
survive another day and and they're lookingto lock up the box Fight Conference in
a big way. Yeah. BurlingtonCentral has really been that the teams to

(02:38):
be on both the boys and thegirls side and box By Conference throughout the
the you know regular season a fiveweek regular season or so, and continuing
on into the postseason with the conferencetournaments that they're at holding this week.
Um, the girls team will beplaying for the championship this evening against Huntley

(02:59):
and the boys is actually tomorrow morning. I believe it's Saturday morning. Uh.
I'm drawn up, like, whoare they playing in final? Jake
car grow y grow That's right. So um so a great opportunity for both
Burlington Central's girls and boys programs uhto cap off their seasons and uh in
grand style with championships tonight and uh, you know start on the girls side

(03:23):
Alana Wells, you know, thefinal weekend of a spectacular career for Burlington
Central. Um Taylor Charles said,a great first season in Burlington, transferred
from Montini, and they have alot of other girls that are kind of
doing their part. Um, youknow as as sort of the supporting cast.
Uh. You wrote about one ofthose young ladies this week that came

(03:45):
back from a knee injury. UmAnderson believes her last name, yeah,
Avery Anderson. So she tore heracl um. This is the first game
of the year last year against Genevaand that in that Thanksgiving tournament championship game.
And it took me a while toremember that, but now now that
I do. But she, youknow, came back in another big way

(04:06):
for Burlington this year, similar toyou know Becca Karani, Um, you
know who I wrote about the previousweek. You know, she just they
both really fit well with what Burlingtondoes in the floor. Avery, um
kind of a defensive stalwart. She'sgonna kind of draw one of the more
better perimeter players, um, youknow on the opposing side. Um.

(04:26):
But you know, we just kindof chatted about her comeback and trying to
make her senior you're meaningful and everything. So I really enjoyed, you know,
getting to know m Avery a littlebit more. And you know,
again similar to Becca and some ofthe other girls, you know, just
because Alana and Taylor are so talentedand command a lot of attention in terms
of the STAP. You know, she I try to find ways to to

(04:47):
get some of the um equally asimportant you know, roles in there.
But you know, maybe it's justnot as eye popping on a night and
night basis, but they're they're equallyimportant. So UM, just really enjoyed
getting to know this team, youknow, throughout the year, and obviously
they have a great opportunity coming uptonight. Yeah. Absolutely, if you're
going to be a successful team, you need start well. It helps V

(05:10):
starts playing Alana Wells and and TaR. Charles, who will both be
playing in collegial level, you know, but you need these other players too
that can fill their roles, thatcould score some play good defense and just
know their roles and play it well. And Burlington Central certainly has it on
the girls side, and you know, you've seen them a lot more than
I have. It appears that theyhave it on the guys side as well
with the boys team that will beplaying tomorrow morning for the championship. They

(05:33):
just seem like they have just alot of guys that do a lot of
things, different things well, andit's added up to quite a successful,
you know, short season, buta season nonetheless. Yeah, absolutely,
I mean I think last night's gamewas a great example against Jacobs. I
mean, I was struggling to figureout how do I lead the story because

(05:53):
I could take it three or fourdifferent ways I could have started. I
did end up, you know, choosing Carson Sylo coming back, you know
from that from the back injury. He had three big threes in that third
quarter, um to kind of keepJacobs off Bay. But I could have
chosen Nick Carpenter pulling down the offensiverebound after three or four missus. I
could have chosen Drew Sharnowski had ablock and a late three which led to

(06:16):
points the other direction. So youknow, there there there's just so many,
you know, different storylines throughout thisteam that you know you got to
really pay attention to or else it'sgoing to kind of skate right by and
um, you know, Gavin andand and Zach Schmidt. Yeah, they're
gonna get their points and they're theathletic, um, you know, top
dogs, so we speak for them. But um, you know, have

(06:39):
you have your pick of Carson orNick or you know, Matt Lemon do
an extense or whoever, and andand there's there's plenty of good stuff happening
there too, so um, Ijust think it says something about the balance
between both programs, you know,to to develop talent the way they do.
Absolutely, and again they're both thereare two programs that they've had their

(06:59):
shares of stars over the last fewyears. I mean, the guys have
had you know, Patrick Mayfield wasit was a dynamic player year before that.
Yeah, I mean they've really developedsome great players. But then they've
had some other guys too that havefilled their roles, that have done their
part and it adds up to success. I mean, the guy's program has
been routinely in the sectionals the lastfew years. Obviously we don't have an

(07:23):
ICA postseason this year, but they'replaying for a conference championship tomorrow. And
obviously Burlington has really done themselves wellin the Fox Felly Conference in the second
year, so you know, sohats off to them. Both of those
teams for great seasons and of coursebest to left this weekend transitioning over.
I got to see Geneva's girls basketballteam last evening for actually the second time

(07:46):
in the last week, and justa really impressive performance by Geneva last night
against Wheaton North, who's one ofthe better teams in the area. They
had won eight games in a rowcoming in. They Wheat Norse came into
the night tied with Saint Charles Northtop the Ducane Conference, and and Geneva.
They sort of survived. A reallygreat performance by Wheat Norse Claire Hyde,

(08:13):
their junior point guard. She hadthirty three points, but credit to
Kate Palmer. I mean that thatwas a really tough assignment for Kate to
have to chase Claire Hyde around forfour quarters. And I know Claire had
thirty three points, but I reallythought Kate really made her earn. I
mean, I know it's kind ofhard to say that, but she really
did make her earn the thirty three. I mean, she took some really

(08:35):
tough shots to make them, andI thought late in the game, you
know, Claire started to miss somesome tough shots and Kate's defense was a
big part of it. On topof that, you know, Kate was
playing a lot more point guard lastnight. I mean I always thought of
Kate as more of a shooter orsort of a wing a little bit,
but she played a lot of pointguard last night. And playing point guard

(08:56):
against Wheat Norse pressure a pretty toughassignment. I mean, Weet North really
gets out due defensively. So Katewas doing it on both ends of the
court. And then then she hadtwelve points in the second half, which
kind of helped lead Geneva back.Geneva was down nine in the third quarter
and they came back and they endedup winning that game. In all likelihood,

(09:18):
it's going to give Saint Charles Norththe Ducaine Conference championship. So you
know, early congratulations to the NorthStars, who at least they're going to
share it with Weet North if notwin it outright, if they're able to
win their last game. But great, great performance by Geneva, and we
talked about just the way the season'sgone and stuff, the unusual season.
It was kind of great to see. It was Geneva's last home game of

(09:41):
the year, and you know, after the game, you know, the
parents came down the stands and theywere doing a lot of picture taking and
whatnot. And of course they were, you know, we wearing masks and
being as safe as possible. ButI think it was sort of like,
all right, this is the endof the year, you know, we're
going to try to save her thismoment a little bit. And they were
on the court for quite a whiletaking pictures, talking, you know,

(10:05):
celebrating, um and whatnot. Itwas just a great moment for the entire
team, but especially seniors like Katethat really have kind of put it in
I believe, isn't mc Kelly mclueand a senior as well. Yeah,
I'm not mistaken. Yeah, Kellymcluin. She had a nice game for
Geneva as well. Um, soa really uh, you know, a
great, great job by Geneva lastnight against a very good Week North team.

(10:26):
I mean, wheat North again.Um, there is as good of
a team as there is I thinkin the Western suburbs. And uh,
and really a nice performance by Genevalast night. Sure. I mean they've
been giving teams fits, you know, for for the last number of weeks.
I mean we talked about this inthe previous week. Um, you
know, some of it had todo with Saint Charles Nartston doing but there's

(10:46):
something to be said about holding ateam to five points in the first half.
Yeah, and you're not doing that, um if you don't have top
notch defense, and and you knowplayers like Claire and Caroline Gaither and some
other ones to you know, tomake life difficult. So um yeah,
just an incredible year for them,And I'm happy for Geneva, you know,

(11:07):
to have that time on the courtbecause I think sometimes you need to
take a step back and realize, like, you know, not everybody's going
to go on and play in college. You know, like some of them
just you know, they're playing justto play and have fun and be with
their friends and do something you knowproductive, you know, after school.
Um, so you know, forsome, for some, for most athletes
actually at the high school level, that really is you know, the end

(11:30):
of the line. So I'm gladthey got to do that. Yeah,
yeah, it was. It wasnice to see. It was nice to
be for them to be able tohave that moment. I'm you know,
play other teams, well, youknow, we'll get the opportunity to do
it so well, So it wasa good night and and it was it
was nice to see. Um.So good for Geneva again at the peer
Saint Charles North is gonna win atleast a share of the King Conference.
So, uh, congratulation on theNorth Stars. They've had a really nice

(11:54):
season. Um. You know, they have some really quality seniors on that
team as well. UM, socongrats to them. UM's kind of doing
a quick swing of things around Batavia. I'll say that Batavia might not be
the best team in the area, but Tessa Towers said, you know,
about as good of a season itis around It feels like every night she's
scoring you know, twenty or morepoints in a game. So, uh,

(12:16):
just kind of excited to see herdevelopment, not only this year but
going forward. Yeah, I meanthat's it's important to remember we got one
more year of her, which youknow, she just seems like she's a
senior, just because she's been aroundfor a while now and obviously as successful
as she is, you know, generally speaking, those her performances reserved for
seniors. But um, we gotone more year of her, which is
great. Um. I think shereally benefits from a really solid point guard.

(12:41):
UM, you know, to beable to get her the ball,
you know in those situations. UM. You know, Brooke just with the
fantastic freshman year. And that's notto take away anything from what Aaron Goldman
did the year before. Um so, but yeah, indeed the development for
Tessa to you know, continue todevelop that inside shot, but also UM,
you know, be a little bitmore of a perimeter throat too sometimes,

(13:03):
UM shop blocking different things. UM, you know, hopefully she can
take one more step here in theyear that she has. Yeah. Absolutely,
but sore we move over to theguys side. UM just kind of
wanted to go around the outlying areasof Kane County. M. As we
mentioned for you know, there's severalconferences that are doing their conference tournaments this

(13:24):
week and this weekend. UM,a few of them a sort of outside
of the Kane County area. UM, the West Suburban Conference. UM,
they're doing it's sort of over twoweekends, and I will be at Morton
High School tomorrow night. UM.It's they're basically down to their final four
among the top teams. It's gonnacome down to York See York Willowbrook,

(13:46):
one, Bard West and Lions Township. So all four of those teams have
you know, really had nice seasons. You know, I haven't seen any
one of them, so I'm reallylooking forward to seeing them. Willowbrook as
a couple grow as the transfers fromMontini this year. Lions Township, they
actually have another growth when came fromMontini. UM. You know, they

(14:07):
have a they have a senior guard, Lindsay Hant, and it said a
great year. York has a coupleof seniors as well, so looking forward
to seeing that one. In theEast Suburban Catholic Conference, Bennett is in
the you know, semifinals of theirtournament. So Bennett's really edit. You
know, they graduated a ton ofgreat players from last year's team. UM,
but they've really kind of maintained thisyear and they're in the semifinals of

(14:31):
their tournament. UM. In theUpstate eight Conference, another team we covered
gin bart South's in the championship tomorrowagainst Bartlett, which will probably be a
pretty tall assignment because you've seen Bartlettplay and Bartlett boy, they're they're pretty
talented with Sinclair and hair, butgwinbart South and the type of team that
they played such great defense and theysort of just kind of mucked the game

(14:52):
up a little bit and and playa lot of low scoring games. So
h you know, we'll see howthey do against a very talent a Bartlett
team. And lastly, before wego over to the guys, this isn't
a tournament, but Sandwich plays Kanlintonight and Sandwich there their senior four year
varsity player, Josie Ness. She'stwo points away from one thousand for her

(15:16):
career and it's funny or her coach, Chris Johnson, I've known that she's
getting closed for a while, buthe's kind of trying to keep it under
wraps because he hasn't wanted to putmore pressure on a kid. But you
know, barring something really strange happeningtonight, she's gonna get to two points
for a career, which which isa great achievement. She already has five

(15:37):
hundred plus career rebounds. She's theall time winning as player at Sandwich,
has been part of four straight winningseasons there, so it'll be a fitting
end to her career. And we'llsee against Klin. I mean that that's
been a nice little rivalry in thelast couple of years. Yeah, and
the first time I mean I sawhim, you know, Kamelin definitely took
care of business. I mean itjust was not Sandwich is night and offensive

(16:00):
league. I didn't think they hada lot of great rhythm, maybe some
communication things, but you know,Calon did, you know, quite well,
and that was a pretty healthy win. So got to think that,
you know, Calin wants to matchthat intense tdia that they had, but
definitely Sandwich is gonna want to,you know, try to make up for
that first time. Oh yeah,Plus you know, um you know was

(16:21):
that first game was at Camelon, right, Yeah, yeah, so they'll
be playing at Sandwich and I sothey'll be you know, fired up for
that game. They almost they reallygave Sycamore all they wanted earlier in a
week, which was quite a achievementin and of itself because Sycamore is sort
of in a class in itself andat conference. So so yeah, that
should be a fun one to watchthe distance and see what happens tonight.

(16:44):
So that's what's going on the girlsside. Switching over the guys side,
we already mentioned Growington Central. Theyare playing for the conference championship tomorrow.
Jake, what about some of theother teams in an area? I mean,
I know the Duke Kane Conference WeedmorenvilleSouth uh sewed up that conference title.
So congrats some Tigers for that,um, you know. But on

(17:04):
the on in the King County area, I mean, there's been some achievements
this year and some performances that areworth talking about for a minute. I
guess I probably should have to startwith Nate Valentine. I mean, the
boy, he's had a really nicesea. Yeah. I mean we've talked,
you know, so much about Nate, you know, and I was
kind of chat when somebody, youknow, and a Twitter DM and and

(17:26):
they were wondering, They're like,is he a better shooter than what Jayden
Johnson was a year ago? AndI would say from three absolutely, and
that's not a shade the Jaden atall. Um from three absolutely overall.
Probably. I mean, I justNate is one of the more crafty shooters
that we've seen in the last numberof years. And that's with the long
line of some really nice shooters, you know, whether you choose um,

(17:48):
you know, Jack McDonald, um, you know, coming back a little
bit, you know, Justin Hardyor whoever for for St Charles Eve so
um. But I did write aboutUm, I'm gonna up his last name,
so I'm really sorry, but Luke, I'm just gonna say Lukey,
I'm sorry. I think it's inand J brettson something like that. I
apologize Luke. Um, but hegrabbed my attention because, um, you

(18:11):
know, Geneva has been a littlenicked up in the last you know,
a couple of weeks of the year, and Luke's been getting a little bit
more playing time. He had acouple of big threes against Saint Charles North
and so I just wanted to chata little bit with with Nate and be
like, all right, so here'sa three point extroidinaire in Nate. What
do you see, you know,as the teammate, you know, as
a guy that's really been a bigboost and echoes actually a lot of similar

(18:33):
comments to what coach Hennik had tosay was sometimes we have to tell him
Luke to shoot the ball, uhand have the confidence because sometimes so try
to pass up you know, hisshot for for somebody else, you know,
from that standpoint, but um,you know saying you know the same
type of thing. You know,Luke's just a really solid practice player,
does the right things. Shoots allthe time, and Nate just had some

(18:56):
great things to say. So,you know, for a guy that's a
senior year, you know, kindof an unheralded player for probably most of
the season, for him to getthe opportunity and to you know, show
some of this two point shooting abilitytowards the end of the years, it
was fun. Yeah. I mean, teams they need more than just that
one guy. I mean, obviouslyValentine's had a great year, but they

(19:17):
need other guys to step forward andand make plays and make shots and things
like that because they can't just beone person. I mean, you know,
I know, like last night onthe Wheat North Girls, I mean
Claire, he did a great game, but she needed some help around him.
And and you know, the samegoes for an eight Valentine. Mean,
you said, some some just monstergames this year, but you need

(19:37):
guys like like Luke Elet's called themU to be able to step up and
and he has so some credit tohim, Um, you know, credit
to Geneva UM. Some of theother teams in the area m Batavia UM
Trent Chusans had some pretty memorable moments. Ethan Ivans kind of stepped forward.

(20:00):
I know Saint Charles North has hadtheir ups and downs, but they've had
some some kids that have had theirmoments as well. You've seen them a
lot more than I have some taltto do, you sure, Um,
you know, the one thing thatreally comes to mind is I wrote this
after the Geneva game. Um.You know Sam di Dadelaire. Um most
probably remember him from football backup quarterback. He's probably gonna be in the mix

(20:22):
for for the spring anyway with Michaelanyway, that's football anyway. The one
thing that I really wanted to kindof stress with with Sam was that this
is a young man that kind ofsimilar to some of the other players we've
talked about, where they're not goingto be stacking up the stat sheet every
single night, but there's gonna beone or two plays that they make to
help, you know, pull outthe victory. And for that particular one,

(20:45):
he had a three to open upthe fourth quarter and that really kind
of stopped to run against Niva. But you know, the same type of
thing just practice is really hard.Knows his role does really well. So
UM, you know, we've chattedso much about Ethan Marlowe and the love
twins and and everybody else, butyou do need those, you know,
Samd Dobblaires to offset is you know, similar comments that you've made. So
um, I think for North ina normal year, I would really like

(21:11):
to see the full body of work, you know, if if we could
have a full schedule and to actuallyget it and and you know, um,
you know, a resume check downat Pontiac. I think it would
be an interesting evaluation, you know, for them, you know, just
because they lost so much, butthey have so much talent. It's just
putting it together in a night tonight basis, and that's that's really been
the struggle, is finishing games forthem. I feel, yeah, no,

(21:34):
I agree, And it probably goesfor a lot of teams that aren't
just kind of right rolling to thewhole competition. Is that. I mean
I've said it before, and youknow I could see it in a regular
seats and I could see a teamin December and you know they may look
all right, but but nothing special, and you know they have their warts
and their ups and downs. Butyou know, maybe I'd come back and

(21:55):
see them again in six weeks andthey just look like an entirely different team
because you know, they have beenthrough some battles and they've been with some
ups and downs, and they've gotbetter in practice and they're a different team
on the other end. We justhaven't had that this year. I mean,
and that's the way it is.We knew it was going to be
like that, but we didn't havethat. I mean, it's been it
has not been the usual basketball grindof a season. It's been a sprint,

(22:22):
and for better or worse, it'sbeen a sprint, and you know,
hopefully the team's got the better forit and they enjoy the experience,
but it's it is by no mean, it's been a typical basketball season in
a lot of ways. No inone team to even throw in that,
you know, conversation in terms ofwhat would they look like with a full
schedule, I think Saint Charles Eastwould would be glad to be part of
that conversation. I know it's beenreally tough for them in terms of you

(22:45):
know, loss this year in thelast number of weeks, but you know,
they had some nice shooters and somepremier players that you know, if
they could develop over the course ofa full season, you know, we
might you know, look at theirseason a little bit differ fun. And
I know, you know people onthat team and coaches and stuff feel the
same way. Yeah, yeah,I would. I would second that statement.

(23:08):
Um, you know, we'll seewhat things look like next season.
As we go forward, I'll beinto to see, um, what the
summer looks like. I had somebodyactually j opened me the other day,
eight am I going to see youat Batavian June. And I'm thinking I
won't really want to get through theway the next three months. Uh first
before I think about the h thesummer shootouts and things like that. But

(23:30):
but yeah, it'll be the seasonbeer before you know it. So but
but but you know, a lotof good things going on in Kane County
basketball this year. Before we wrapup, I wanted to kind of go
around the area again. There's someteams finishing up really strong seasons this weekend
in their conference tournaments or otherwise.Um, I'm gonna be out of Swego

(23:52):
East tonight. They're in the semifinalsof the Southwest Prairie Conference tournament. We'll
be playing plaint Field South and they'rea team that you know you talked before
about. You know, teams needdifferent guys to step up in different areas.
They don't really have one star.I mean they have three or four
guys that typically will get them eightto fourteen points a game. They usually

(24:17):
don't have a guy that goes outfor twenty. It's just kind of the
way they operate. But it's addedup to a pretty good season. I
mean, they only have two lossesthis season and they played playing Sales Out
tonight. They just played them lastweek and East only one by five points.
I'm expecting it to be a prettycompetitive game and in the winner of

(24:38):
that will more than likely get thetop seat joy at West. That will
be tomorrow night, and if Joliet'sthe winner tonight, then they'll be at
It's one of those like at thehigher seeded games in the situations. So
that's being completed on the Southwest Prairieside the West Suburban. Um, they

(25:00):
will be completing their conference tournament twoweekends special tomorrow in Glenbard, West.
I mean, I've talked about themquite a bit uh this year and um,
they'll be looking to finish up anundefeated season. What can you say
about them? I Mean, they'vereally kind of rolled through the West Suburban
conference this year, but under theradar a little bit, Downers Grolle North

(25:23):
only has one loss. I mean, I think they're thirteen and one and
they It's interesting they played a nightin sort of like a regular season game,
and then they played tomorrow night inthe conference tournament that the West Suburban
Conference has been kind of hokey withtheir scheduling with that conference tournament. But
I'll be I'll be instant to seehow these games turn out this weekend.

(25:45):
I know we have a follower onTwitter from Downers Grolle North. They graduated.
I'm drawing up blank on his name. You know that you have?
I you just tweeted me. Geta wondering why I wasn't covering again tonight
yet. But it's funny about aweek ago I tweeted about Gleebard West and
how I wish they're in that Chicolelike classic, and he kind of like
trolled me a little bit. He'slike, well, don't forget about down

(26:07):
his Ville North. I'm not forgetabout him. I mean, I'm very
instant to see how they do thisweekend because down and Rolle North has a
really good team. Jack Milky,He's going to Southern Indiana. He's one
of the better players in the Chicagoarea. I mean, he's he's a
really fine player. So we'll see. They got two games this weekend,
so we'll see how those two gamesturn out. But Glenbard West has just

(26:29):
had a fantastic season, so youknow, we'll see if they can complete
an undefeated season. And one moreteam that is also looking to complete an
undefeated season again, a team I'vetalked about many times on this broadcast is
Yorkville Christian. They are nine andozho. That's not the most impressive staff.
They're averaging ninety nine point eight pointsper game. Yeah, that's NBA.

(26:53):
That's those are NBA numbers. Theyhave top one hundred points in five
of their nine games. Jaden Shuttis averaging almost twenty five points a game,
and there's three other guys in doublefigures. They've been pretty darn impressed
this year. That being said, they have two pretty good challenges. Their
biggest challenge of the year so farby far, they have Nika Valley Tonight,

(27:18):
Nika Valley as the kid going toYale, John Poachitis, and another
really good junior, Chris Senior ConnorDavis and then tomorrow for noon they play
Wibonzi, who has been I'm probablymispronounced his name Schwiegert. He's going to
Loyola. So those will be verychallenging games for Yorfa Christian back to back,
but they have a great opportunity tofinish the season eleven and oh and

(27:41):
the kind of exciting thing for themand for Glenbard West is they're pretty much
all juniors, so they're gonna beteams to watch next year in the four
A for Glenbard West and one Afor Yorfa Christians. So a lot of
good basketball left this weekend as wefinished the five or six weeks sprint that
we've had. Absolutely well, Josh, it's been fun breaking down the area

(28:04):
each and every week for basketball.I know we're going to be doing it
for football, but I guess onbehalf of both of us. Congratulations to
every team, no matter if youwant a conference or whatever, just for
making it and for competing and makingthe best of the situation. We know
it was tough, we know thatthere's been sacrifices across the board. So

(28:25):
just to commend everybody you know forthe season that you've had, it's hats
off to you. Yeah, Idefinitely second that, whether you won all
your games, whether you lost anyof your games, a great job by
these kids to, you know,to be able to go out and play,
to follow all the protocols which areprobably not easy, and just to

(28:48):
enjoy being out there with your teammatesand hopefully your parents being when I watched
to play it. So it's beena blast covering this short season and looking
forward to the next season to followus awesome. Then I'll do it for
us. On the prehaps side. For the basketball part of this podcast anyway,
Jake Barbison joshuagis saying thanks so long, thanks so much for making us
a part of your afternoon, andwe will be back with football content each

(29:11):
and every week, so don't goaway. This is going to continue.
So that'll do it for us.
