Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's been a minute since we've reacted to a Bleach
Report article. Today, we got great in every NBA team's
twenty twenty five NBA offseason so far. It was released
like five days ago. That's not really relevant because not
a lot has happened in those five days, But this
is gonna be interesting. Like, going into it, we were
promised by some people that this was about to be
potentially the craziest off season of all time, not even
not even close to say, let me just say shout
(00:22):
out to our boys, the Shams to say this had
the potential to be a crazy offseason. After the offseason
we just had it's nuts. But it didn't live up
to that.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Right.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
The biggest trade we got was Kevin Urrett trade, and
that one wasn't even too crazy because Kevin Urant had
basically narrowed it down to a couple of different destinations.
I think the biggest thing about that one was the
time and of it all, like that happening right before
Game seven is of the NBA Finals was kind of nuts.
But that was like the biggest move of the off season.
But I do believe there's a lot of teams that
leveled up right they went up a tier and some
teams tore down completely, which, in my opinion, can we
(00:53):
looked at as a good offseason as well. So we're
gonna see what be our things. I'm gonna give my
opinions is get into it. This video is brought to
you by Raycon. You see you didn't even notice ahead
of man, You see me, I'm looking good. Raycon is
a lifestyle audio brand that offers premium sound, comfort and
style at an affordable price. The best known for their
everyday earbuds, which you've probably seen me use a few
years back. But this one right here is a new
(01:13):
and improved of their classic design.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Man, they're saying that the OZ is back, but this
time around it has active noise canceling. You know, this
reminds me of It reminds me of a Dark Knight,
Like we all love Batman Begins, but the sequel is
so much better now. Personally, I find myself using Raycon's
mostly when I'm editing videos. There's a lot of stuff
going on in the house and I need to really
really lock in at the project. They have eight hours
of playtime in a thirty two hour battery, and of
(01:37):
course you're talking about earbuds.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Your question is about the audio quality right.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Where their audio quality is just as good as the
other big time brands at a fraction of the price.
So go to buy raycon dot com slash Kenny to
get twenty percent off the fan favorite Everyday Earbuds Classic.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I also got this case. That's pretty cool, right.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Shout out again to Raycon for sponsoring this video. M
hm seun out to a great over the.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Feel good to be back.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
By the way, I ain't feeling a video on like
seven days for real, and I'm like, whoa, that's like
the second longest I've ever went without filming the video.
Here we go, starting off with the Atlanta Hawks. That
gave the Atlanta Hawks to smooth a which feels about right.
The Atlanta Hawks are one of the biggest offseason winners
if you ask me, when you already think about the
existing interesting young core of a Trey Young, Jalen Johnson,
(02:21):
res I say, and a Yaka Congo to now at
christasperzingis for nothing and I know about the history of
Christas berzenis healthwise, but.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Like they didn't really give up anything to make it happen.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
If anything, they got off of a contract and Terrence Man,
which is pretty damn dope. To bring in Nikkeil Alexela Walker,
who over the last two playoff runs, who are a
really integral part to the Minnesota Templewolves, and to also
getting luke Anar who may play may not play a
ton but like, this just looks like now a team
that was a playing a perennial playoff team or play
in team over the last.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Couple of seasons.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
You squinch eyes and you're like, oh, snap, Atlanta Hawks
can do this. Trey Young, it is time, baby, It's time.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Next, we got the.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Boston Celtics, who I don't know personally what I would
grade the Bostonics. They gave it a seed, which feel
like anytime somebody gets to see on a grading, YadA, YadA, YadA.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
It's most like, listen, we don't know exactly what to
do with it.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
We knew that they were gonna have to break up
the team right whether they won a championship or they
missed the plaoffs completely. We knew that this was a
team that was too expensive to exist. The question was
what type of direction they really go in. They traded
with Drew Holliday trade away, Chris STAPs, Porzingis, and obviously
Tatum getting out of his injury. It's about to be
like a gap year, if you will, for the Boston Celtics.
The thing that is really interesting to me is because
(03:27):
Drew and because Chris STAPs didn't have a ton of
value on the market, the players that you brought back,
which is basically just Anthony Simas if you really think
about the George and Yanges probably not a part of
the long term future. But like those guys don't make
me feel like, at least as of today, that when
Tatum does come back, the team will be right back
into contention.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
And Brad Stevens has done a.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Damn good job as a GM whatever the hell basketball
operations guy, but now he's about to go into his
biggest struggle as a guy making the decisions.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
What do you do?
Speaker 1 (03:56):
How do you bridge the gap to get right back
to championship contention. I don't answers for that just yet,
but this offseason giving it a seed makes some sense
because hey, who knows Brooklyn Nets. They gave it a
B for the Brooklyn Nets, a right, So the Brooklyn
Nets came into this offseason with a ton of cap space,
was like, okay, you know, restricted free agency is a
fake thing, and you could see that even with their
own player and Cam Thomas. But the question was how
(04:18):
were they gonna use that cap space. The first thing
they did is they acquired a first round pick in
that Atlanta Hawks deal. When they brought in Terrence Man
in that port Zingus deal, you know what I'm talking
about that just mentioned earlier.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
They also brought.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
In a twenty thirty two I think a thirty one
first round pick to acquire Michael Porter junior and get
out Cam Johnson. Of course, we're gonna talk about the
trait a little bit more once we get to the
Denver Nuggets, but that.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Pick has a potential to be really valuable one day.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
And one thing if I had, if I had to
be a critic of myself when it comes to stuff
like this, I find myself being super super high on
future picks like most people do. But also when teams
do a lot of small things around the edges, right,
I find myself pray in those teams it's like, oh,
they got two more second round picks, and the reality
is those seg around picks in a lot of cases
(05:05):
don't turn to anything, you know. But but in my mind,
just making those move around the edges helps out which
your cap book, it can help out with your future
future assets.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
And I think that's what the Brooklyn Nets kind of did.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
This offse is Now. I am not the NBA draft guy.
I did do more research this year than any other
year in my life. I can say right now I'm
not a huge fan of their draft. But who the
hell knows when you have a gazillion first round picks,
if you just have two of those guys hit to
be real NBA players, and I would say that's a win.
Which two of those guys will be? Hell, I don't know,
they basically all play if it's all played the same position.
And I recently just saw a clip of Michael porter
(05:37):
J on his podcast like two years ago. We was
talking about how people make fun of him because he
don't swing the ball, and he said, if I ever
got put into a different role than I'll think about passing, Well, brother,
your roles a lot different on this team, man, So
we'll see if you can jump up from I'm gonna
guess one point seven assist a game. Let me see
a lot better than my one point seven. It's two
point one. So let's see if that two point one
(05:57):
goes into four. Can you double your assist per game
total on this team?
Speaker 3 (06:01):
I don't know's it's one of those off seasons that
you know when we talk about doing things around the
edges of how much we praise it every time the
Brooklyn That's acquired a new first round pick, I.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Was like, yes, they did it, they did it, And
then for them to use all of those search round picks,
still mind going to me? So only time will tell.
Next the Charlotte Hornet, See, this is one of those
teams they did a lot around edges.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
They have it as a B.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
But you know they got the twenty ninth overall pick
in that trade for Mark Williams. They also got a
twenty twenty nine first round pick that is the worst
of Cleveland, Utah and Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
We'll see what that turns out.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
They got a first round pick to take on use
of nrkids last year and then flipped the use of
nrkds to get a future second round.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
See that those are the type of deals that I
really find myself.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Like loving and again they may not mean anything, but
The one thing I love the most about the Charlotte
Hornets this offseason was I personally do believe when your
point guard is your best player, and that point guard
is struggling to stay on the court at the time
that he is not out there, it's detrimental to the
progression of everybody else on the team, all of the
other young players on the team. And one thing I
(07:06):
respect about this Charlotte Hornets offseason this year is that, like,
they took a couple guys who can facilitate and run
the offense just in case LaMelo Ball gets hurt.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
LaMelo be hoping that you don't.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
But like Spencer Dinwide has been on the gazillion different teams,
he's always been pretty damn steady. They got in Trey Man,
who didn't play a ton of last season, but they
gave him a twenty four million dollar deal over three years.
I feel like that's a really good deal. So they
got it as a B. I'd probably go closer to
B plus for the Charlotte Hornets, but again, I'm truly, truly,
way optimistic about them smaller deals. And I said it
(07:39):
before the conkinipple of the top picks, it's like him
and Trey Johnson. Those are the guys that I trust
the most or I'm looking forward to watching the most.
And they got one of those guys next these shug God,
they got it as a D. We don't need to
spend too much time with the Bulls. They made one
trade and that was the Linzo ice Acorum. Listen, Ice,
I got another love for you. Hope you come out
(07:59):
to Chicago and you absolutely ball. But y'all, I've made
the videos about the Bulls.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
We'll move on. We'll see if the.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Josh Giddy number looks like because that that's really gonna
determine if this stays a D or it becomes an
F or it goes to a C minus because they
don't give much higher than like even Josh Giddy on
a good deal.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
You can't say this is an a off season.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
But every day we get deeper into free agency and
there's zero Vucevich buzz. It makes me feel like that
Vucevitch might be one of the best names on the
buyout market in February if next season, because nobody wants
him now he just had such a great season. If
nobody wants him right now, then win when they ever want,
and he's on an expiring deal. He's in an expiring
(08:38):
contract a center that just had a really good year. Now, granted,
we all know his deficiencies on defensive side of the ball,
don't get me wrong, But if you can't get somebody
to take him on today, then you probably never will.
So maybe buying him out in February. Cleveland Cavaliers, they
really do a lot. They got Larry NaN's back, They
of course got Lonzo Ball, and Sam Merrill got a contract.
I set this on the pop before they gave it
(08:59):
a b. One thing that I question is that will
the paint touches and the creation that ty Jerome had
last season, will it hurt that they don't have that anymore?
Because as much as I love lines with Ball or brother,
don't put the ball on the floor anymore. So he's
more of a three and D wing than he is
a point guard. A three and D wing would absurd passing,
but he doesn't create as far as getting two feet
(09:19):
into the paint. Go look at them numbers. I've watched
them mis Chicago this season. And then, granted he just
had his whole knee replaced, he hit some like like
like a fake need, no real need, but it was
somebody else's need, like I don't. I'm not mad at
him that he didn't create like he used to as
far as getting to the basket, but that's just not
a part of his game.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Maybe a year of moved from all.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Of the message, the procedures and stuff, you get him
back to some of the stuff. But even before the
Preceidus he wun't really getting to the brim. But lot
Either way, I think Cleveland had a really good offseason.
They got it as a bee. I probably got slightly
below that. I probably go slightly below that, but still
the favorite to win the Eastern Conference. Next we got
the Dallas Mavericks, who they have at a b I
mean when you when.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
You get coop a flag, No, I do think that.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, the Danie gafferdal is pretty I thought that that
was a deal that they were gonna use to move
immediately after he signed it.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Obviously he's still on the roster es today. They haven't
done much else, so we'll move on.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Shouts group of flag and it's like to watch him
who now here's the different nugetstate.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Oh, it was twenty thirty two that I mentioned in Brooklyn.
This pick has the potential to be pretty damn valuable.
One day. They got it as a seat. Ooh, they
got it as a c Damn.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
They must really value their future picks. Here's my take
on it. I think I tweeted this after the trade
even happened. I don't give a damn if this pick
is thirty thirty two. If I have Nikola Jokic on
my team right now, I'm gonna do what I can
to get the team to be great. Yeah, bout twenty
thirty two, Nikolaokitch might be out of the league. I
just saw a clip what he accidentally said he only
gonna play for two more years. I think he was joking,
(10:43):
But hell, we don't know what nikolay Okics. So seven
years from now, yes, Nikolaokins is in his mid thirties
and he might be out of the league, or you know,
knowing him, he might just want to walk away from
the game.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
So that pick could be valuable. I just don't care.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Can you imagine not trying to maximize the ceiling of
the best player in the world because pick seven years
from now, a pick that.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
You don't even know anything about.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
This pick could be the thirty They could be twenty
eighth overall pick, and you think about it at twenty
thirty two, I'm like, damn, we could have traded that
pick to get our team better. For the Kocheokics, this
team is one game away from defeating the team that
went on to win a championship. I think today they
are better than they were when they were in that series. Yes,
they're gonna miss some of the things that Michael porter
Juir does. Cam Johnson does some similar things, and something's better.
(11:24):
They also got Bruce Brown back. They also got Tim
Hardaway junior in the door. They also got a real center,
which I cannot express enough, a real center, Jonas Valetomas
back him up. I love this offseason.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
I think this gotta be crazy. I think they are
probably let me read it. I'm gonna read it and
see what they're with. Let me see if they got.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
A real good point. I've read it.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Their point is, Okay, you did the Cam Johnson, Troy,
you got off the contract and you saved seventeen million.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
But the money that.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
You gave Bruce Brown has Bruce Brown always been a
Bruce Brown junior? Am I bugget the money that you
saved didn't help you acquire these dudes because they signed
from me. So you didn't even use that seventeen million
that instead it was ownership saying that they wanted some money.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
I don't fucking care.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
The team is better, even they said Denver is better
on paper and at least plausible, at least plausible Johnson
could out perform Michael Porter Junior over the life of
his contract. I don't know what else you could really say.
He even said on young Valent Junas that he stayed
in the NBA after considering playing overseas. He's a major
upgrade to anyone different. His head behind the Koley ookis
at center. So you just gave so much praise. But
just because they didn't spend that seventeen or the seventeen,
(12:29):
I don't understand that we're gonna move on Detroit now.
Everybody I've seen a lot of people will be down
on Detroit's offseason. I think it was okay they got
it as a seed. I'd probably go a little bit
higher than the seed. Some shit you just can't control.
If the best individual season shooter in your franchise history
gets investigated, then what are you supposed to do.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
You know, what are you supposed to do about that?
Speaker 1 (12:50):
I think that that all things considered, Yeah, Duncan Robinson
made a lot of money, gets a lot of money
from Ducan Robson. But all things considered, I think the
best offseason acquisition that the Detroit Pissons added this year it's.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Jade and Ivy.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
So maybe that you can't really count that into the
you can't account that into the grade. But Jada and
Ivy's back and Dennis Shrewder left and I think Jada
and I can do the stuff that Dennis shrew was
able to do and be better. Tim Hardaway Junior left.
They got Karris Lavert who are very similar type of players.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
He check.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
I guess Tim Marto is better off the catch, but
like similar players, Malik Beasley has such a great season.
I don't think Duckie Robinson could replicate three hundred plus threes.
But I feel like a lot of the players that
they lost, they just brought in different players they can
do similar things.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
And Kate cunninghams on the team.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
So I'm really expecting the Detur piss to be better
even if they're all season is not an a plus,
you know, okay, move on Pokemon stuff. Listen, I've been
really into Pokemon. I dropped the Pokemon video. It's it's secret, though,
you gotta find it. But I dropped the Pokemon video.
The Golden sag Wars haven't done anything, so we move
the Houston Rockets. I feel like we've talked a lot
about the Rockets. They have it as an A. I
don't know if we can go anything lord than that.
(13:57):
That's the bare minimum what you could give it. Dorothany Smith,
click apal, Kevin durant in Ja Varsivio Junior's extension, real
ballplayer frev e Vliet, get him a new contract to
save you some money. Beautiful offseason no notes, A makes
a lot of sense, Heil A plus could make some
sense to me as well.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Then you got the Indiana Pace who they have as
an f who.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Okay, there's a couple different ways you can look at
the loss of Myles turn right.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
The first way you could look at it and say, hey,
Miles Turner was here for ten ten plus.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
I don't even was it ten seas with draft last
hears twenty fifteen, he might have been been here for
ten seasons through Paul George being there through him and Sabonis,
through Oladipo to now Tyre's Hayler Burton and company making
it to the NBA Finals. It's a very crucial part
to the team that made it to the NBA Finals,
even if he didn't necessarily play that well in the
last couple games of the postseason. It's like, I'm I'm
(14:52):
trying to convince myself one way or another and not
play the middle ground here. But I truly can see
it multiple different ways. Right, Miles Turner was extremely important
to what they did, but he also was not potentially
not the perfect fit, and the money that he wanted,
they just didn't feel like it.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Was worth paying. That's one way.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
The other way is like, hey, ownership hasn't went into
the luxury tax, even though they've said they were willing to.
The Turner team has a different opinion. Who the hell knows.
Another way could look at it and say, hey, man,
this team won't go into the luxury tax potentially, and
I don't know what to do about that. They didn't
want to pay Miles Turner an extra amount of money
if they knew that next year is going to be
a gap year, and they may have plans and set
that when Tyres Halliburn come back, so and so player
(15:28):
is going to be our starting center. He could do
everything mouse Turner can do and more. Maybe we even
changed the type of archetype we have for the center position.
Maybe it's not mouse Turner, a stretch five but instead
of somebody that's more of a rim rolling big.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
We don't know.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
So they gave it an F because they weren't able
to bring back mouse Turner and they didn't do anything else,
which I don't want to do anything else, if I'm
being honest with you, But the mouse turned thing could.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Have potentially hurt for sure Clippers. They gave it an eight.
Mine is no notes.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Man.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
This team might be super damn old, but Devin, I'm
gonna be here.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I'm gona be loving it when the Clippers play the
Bulls in Chicago, whenever the schedule come out, best believe
I'm there, damn it. I might even say, course at
my goat is going out on his last season. I
want to be there with a goddamn this this exact
jersey but the number three on it because I love
me from Chris Paul and now he's gonna be a
backup for basically what the second time of his NBA career.
When you think about the Warriors signing as well, this
(16:17):
is going to be pretty interesting. I think they got
enough bodies on the team that, even though they're they're
a geriatric team up top, that they have in them
bodies that like, hey, if Kawhi Len is going to
miss some time, which you know, or if Chris Paul
going some time, which hey, he played all eighty two
last season ago, so who knows. But all these older
guys don't have to do too much for the Clippers
to still be good because a lot of the players
that they added on, they didn't really lose out on
(16:38):
the players that were already there. Other than Norman Powell
being traded, right, you still got Katie Christill, and you
still got you still got Derrick Jones shooting, and you're
a so on and so forth. A great offseason for them,
all things considered, and they put a lot of eggs
in his.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Basket, which makes sense. I mean, it's not.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
That long that you have James and Kawhi playing at
this level, So let's go for it. And I hope
that we get some good injury luck and get the
right side of the bracket, and just like that we
being a conference finals, or just like that we might
be representing the Western conferin of the finals.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Who the hell knows. It's July right now. The Lakers
they have as a D.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Okay, okay, I am more positive about the Lakers offseason
than consensus. I don't think it was a great offseason.
Do not get me wrong. I definitely wouldn't put it
as a D. But I also wouldn't put it as
a hell even a B. I'll probably go closer to C.
Here's why I think I'm looking at a lot of
the moves in the vacuum. DeAndre Aiden on a two year,
(17:28):
eight million dollar a year deal good a district considering
who was just on the team before him at the
central position shot Jackson Hayes g oh no, actually no,
Jackson Hayes and Trey Jamison Trey Jamison upgrade. I think
about Marcus Smart being on the team, and though Marcus
Smart has played seven games in the last six years,
at least that's what it feels like.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
If you could get at.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Least a decently healthy Marcus Smart season and listen, he
ain't been very good in those handful of games he's
played over the last couple of years, But getting him
into the door on a minimum, I feel like that's
a win considering even if he can't shoot anymore, if
he can stay healthy, he will still be a plus defender.
He won't be the guy that's chasing around the young
guards and across ball no more. But he's still gonna
be one of the best defensive players on the entire team.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
So in the vacuum, this is all pretty cool. But
you also think.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
About, oh my god, Lebron James, he is forty years old.
Are we not trying to win right now? Oh my god,
Luka Donci is over here, And though there's rumors that
he's gonna resign, which if they if Luca Nancis resigns
his offseason, this d turns to an A plus. I
don't give a damn about anything else. If you if
you lock Luca up, is a win. But I understand
losing DFS, but I think that the Lakers are still gonna.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Be a good team. That is that breaking news.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Like, I don't think they're gonna win no damn championship
or nothing, but I think they're gonna be a good team. Still,
Uh yeah, there's some identity issues right where you still
are not a Luca team, at least on paper, and
you're also not a Bron team, where you're stuck in
this middle place.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
I understand that.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
But they still got Luka Nancas, and I promise you
there are a few players in basketball I just I
just pencil his teams and to be good, I just do.
If he's healthy, I'm penciling with Man and Bron if
he's healthy. He's a similar type of guy. Anyway, The
Missus Grizzlies interesting offseason. Obviously, you got the Desert Bang
deal that they did when they got a Gazian first
round picks where they be valuable who they all knows.
(19:06):
They bring back Aldama, they bring back.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Oh no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
It turns to a five year, two hundred and five
million dollar deal for our guy, Jared Zaxus junior Ti
Jerome on a really good deal considering all things. But
we don't know about Ti Jerome right now. Shout out
to him. They got that as a b By the way,
they don't know much about We don't know much about
Tie Jerome is what he did last year sustainable considering
that's basically the only year for his NBA career where
he was like really positive.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
I don't really know.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
But it's not a bad offseason for the Grizzies. They
just are. So it's unfortunate for them that this team
is built in the Western Conference. Bro, they really need
expansion to happen so they can move to the East.
Them are the Pelicans. I don't know which you won't
move to the East, but like so they if this
team was in the Eastern Conference, I think we look
at them to be like, yeah, that's like a four seed.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
But in the Western Conference, you're like, damn, I don't know, Bro,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Miami Heat. I can't be mad at that heat. They
may basically one big move and it was to get
Norman Powell in the door, and they cast anything like
obviously it's not a team. I'm looking at me like, oh,
that's a Chamionship pretender. But again, if we're just grading
what the offseason was getting in Norman Powell, who's a
twenty point per game scorer for nothing, win, even if
it doesn't take you to the next level, even if
(20:13):
it doesn't jump you up a couple different spots. normOn
Palace to get Hooper, and you got them for nothing.
The Milwaukee Bucks to have it as c minus. You
bought a day. You use some of that money to
go get mouse Turner. So now mouse Turner's basically worth
fifty something million dollars. You bring back Bobby Portis, you
bring back Round Rollis, you bring back Kevin Porter and Junior.
You're bringing back Gary Trent Junior, you bring back Jericho SAMs,
(20:36):
you bring Backtorian Prince. Less than twenty million can bind
I didn't even realize.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
It was that bad. And then you bring a Gary
Harris listen. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
The only thing that matters is if Gianni's happened. That
might be a cop out. It's the same thing I
mentioning with Luca. If Luca signs extension, their grey goes
on a plus. If Giannis is clean and keen to
sticking around, then anything you did right here is is cool.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Like, yes, twenty two million dollar damn money for five
years is nuts.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
But if honest it's happen, and all you hope for,
if you are the Milwaukee Bucks, a team, that's not
competing this season.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Let's be real.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
All you can hope for is if there's enough for
Gianni's could be like, oh next year, huh, oh, two
years from now, huh. That's all you're trying to buy
time until you can do the thing. I don't know
what that thing is. Hell, you put a lot of
tips in the basket already, you put a lot of
tips to get in Damian Love that didn't necessarily work out.
All you're trying to do is bypass time. And though
(21:34):
on paper this Bucks team does not look good.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
They do got this guy here, which in the Eastern
when you have the best player in the entire conference,
I'm just penciling you in, like if he's healthy, I'm
penciling in the Bucks for at least just a healthy,
honest season at least forty two wins.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
And then now you can account for so and so
having a good season, and so and so and having
a good season just like Dag You're looking pretty solid.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
So it's really just depending on you.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Honest, I didn't love it this stuff, but John's is
on the team and he seems to be I the
Minnesota Temples, they gave it a C. They basically just
brought a lot of people back. They lost to the
Kielvis to Walker, which time of Taylor. If that's a
bad loss or not. But I will say losing a
guy like him stings a lot less when you have
a guy similar to him just waiting. Like I really
do think that Aryon Shannon Junior is gonna be a
(22:19):
real player for them in this season. And though they're
not one to one type of players, I truly do
like Tarren Shannon's game and I like that back in Illinois.
So you know, yeah, nik Kylazender leaving does hurt, but
you might just have that guy. They got a lot
of money between Gobert and nas Read ninety signe Central
and Julius Randall in.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
That front court.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Oh let's say they say last year Linus with go
Bear center and Read on the bench, posted a plus
six point nine at rating that owned the ninety first
PERCENTIL defensive RANAA We're Read in the middle and go
Bear out of the game. Minnesota interior was a plus. Okay,
well I don't mind it.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Yeah, it's not great. It's not great.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
I mean they're gonna be relying on some people that
gain in Terrence Shannon Junior and Robert dyling Ham who
haven't really had the opportunity to play big time minutes.
Even though Terry sand and Junior did give us that
game in the postseason. They have Anthony Edwards on the team.
If we're great offseason, I think it's see makes sense again.
I gotta keep remembering that's what we're doing. We're greanty
off season, not the team see Pelicans. If I had
the guests, they got the Pelicans in like a D plus. Yeah,
(23:19):
they gave it.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Have they been given plus grades? No? Oh, they have
plus and minus six. They've gotten this ne f all right.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
You know I had a clip go summer viral about
about the trade that they pulled off, which was, you know,
trading the unprotected pick from next season to the Atlanta
Hawks to move up to the spot to get Derrick Queen.
One thing that was taken out of context. It was
not a shot at Derek Queen. I think I may
have even said that in the clip. I don't know
if that part got misunderstood. Nothing that I said about
what the Pelicans have done this offseason is a shot
(23:45):
at d Queen, who I hope is just the best
of all time, shout out to my guy. But it's
it's like, even if Derick Queen turns out to be
a thirty time All Star, he's not gonna do a
next season. So you ask yourself, you know, obviously you're
you're really counting on dear Queen becoming a like an
All Star or like at the Baarman on an All
Star one day that if he doesn't, was it worth
giving up a pick that might end up being top ten?
(24:08):
Because though they have so many intriguing player shout out,
so they got they got our guy, Herb Jones back
on a short extension or a cheap extension, which we love.
So I'm not gonna give it an F because of
Herb Jones extension. But I look at their roster and
I say, there are so many intriguing pieces from yeah,
Jordan Pool who's coming off of good season, to Herb Jones,
to Trey Murphy to Zion to East Missy too, like
(24:30):
all they have so many interesting players. But I just
look at it and I look at the constant the
end and that like it's the ceiling, the seventh seed
at the like if they have the best year, is
there sealing the seventh seed, and you gave up a
first round pick for a team that the ceiling might
be the seventh seed. I just only time to tell
on whether or not the twenty twenty six pickar that
(24:52):
gave up is going to be valuable. But as of today,
at all of the assets that were trading this offseason,
that's the one that's at the top. Like, that's like
the top that was traded in a goddamn off season.
And Kevin Durrant got traded.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
That's nuts, that's so nuts. Not getting a top four protection,
a top five protection.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
I guarantee that line Hoss will still say, Yes, New
York Knicks not a bad offseason whatsoever. The biggest acquisition
is this man right here. I love Gershaon Yabusel. I
think that's gonna be a guy that's gonna be able
to play playoff minutes. At the end of the day,
the Knicks are not playing for the eighty two. They're
playing for the posting at this point, right Gershaon Yabusele
is a guy that I believe can play playoff minutes
next season if he replicates what he did last season.
(25:32):
And then, like Jordan Clarkson is a more of an
eighty two game player right to help you get to
the point where you're in the postsea. So I think
it was a good offseason. I would probably go a
straight up B instead of a B minus. Shout out
to them next week, got or reigning champion can't say
anything because they didn't do anything other than bringing guys back.
The Orlando Magic end up losing KCP Cole Anthony and
Gary here is broing in Desimbang and Tights Jones. I've
(25:54):
just spent a lot of time yesterday watching a ton
of Palovan Carol trying to figure out, like, yeah, the
design Banking acquisition, how much is open a game up
for him? And I'm excited to you know, I'm gonna
deep dive into in the video eventually. But it's a
really good offseason. Obviously they spent Hey man, I now
got two kids, and y'all just got to live with
the background yell and screaming and stuff, because that's is
(26:14):
what kids do. Yes, they did give up a lot
at least on paper for desim Bang, but I don't
think that's something that you should care about right now,
of like the people that again, this is why I
did that that deep dive footage wise on the Palavan
Carol thing. Of all the people that you thought might
have been available to play alongside Palo in France, I
think that Desi bang without it being like a superstar, right,
(26:37):
I think that Desenbane is super high on that list
right as a creator, as a shot maker, as a
shot like, there's so many things to be really intrigued about,
and they already have the infrastructure defensively to hold Desimbane down.
I feel like maybe a little overrated defensively, at least
to the general public. But yeah, I think this off season, yeah,
b makes a lot of sense to me. I'm gonna
agree with your grant. Next, you have the seventy six
(26:58):
ers who didn't do anything other than to draft VJ. Edgecomb,
who we really like. Shout out to them, but that's yeah,
that's really all they really did.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
The Phoenix Suns they have is a D minus.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Okay, this is okay. I was trying to figure out
this last sentence says it all. He's great in the
offseason based on what he think the team should do,
which is blowing up, not the actualization of the offseason.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Right. I think we can all.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Agree that the Phoenix Suns are probably better all blowing
it up, right, Regardless, they're not gonna do that. They're
gonna stick with their guy, Devin Booker and try to
put a competent team around them and if there is,
if that is their goal. They did an okay enough
job given the fact that it felt like they didn't
have a lot of outs. You know, the Kevin Durant trade,
because we knew he was going to be traded. There's
not a lot of leverage to be traded in the
(27:42):
thirty seven year old, right, we knew he wanted to
get out. We knew he only wanted to go to
three different teams, and or all things considered, they.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Got a top pick, a top ten pick.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
They got in Jalen Green, who say what you want
about Jaalen Green, he ain't the perfect player, but he's
far away from being.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
An awful, awful ball player.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
And then Dylan Brooks, who continue just provides stuff on
the defensive side of the ball.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Even though I really hate watching.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
Play of times, So considering that I don't hate the offseason,
like yeah, it makes more sense to go to the opposite
direction and go ahead and try to get acquire your
own first rounders or trade dem Booker to this to
get some more first rounders.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
But that's not the route that they're trying to do.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
They had a goal, and I think if that is
their goal, even if it's not gonna materialize to be
forty wins or even damn it might not materialize to
be thirty five, that I think they executed that.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
A little bit.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Like I said this before last year, they had Kevin
Run Devin Booker on the team, they were almost unwatchable,
but like like, no, no, almost, they were unwatchable as
a team.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
There's some more intriguing stuff in Phoenix now I can't
wait to watch.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
And maybe that dies out by February, maybe that dies
out by December.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
I don't know, but there are some intriguing stuff.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
I hate the fact that every time they'd be like, oh, yeah,
Devin book is gonna be a poinker. Oh Jayleen Green
is gonna be a poarnker, All Bradle Bial's gonna be
a poinner. I feel like I've read an article about
all of these guys, specially being in their point guard
at one time in the last two years. I would
love for them to go get a point guard, but
they don't have that. And Ark Williams he can hoop
if his body let him.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Portland, they gave it a b.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Hey guess what, Damian Little is home and that is
enough for me to give him an a No the
p trub Blaze. They have an intriguing team. I even
made the tweet like what does this start line up
look like because we were having a conversation about like
school Henderson versus Shane Sharp or so on and so forth,
or do they both if one of them starts to
neither of them starts?
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Whatever? Uh.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
They poured out one of the biggest woes of the
trade of the draft when they brought in.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Yang Yan Hanson. Sorry if I've misconounding that.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Other than that, it's like the Drew Holiday acquisition, which
did cost of anything after those second round picks got voided.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
So it's it's fine.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
I'm excited about them, though, mostly because that defense that
they had last season.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
At the end of last season, I don't I feel
like part of that is real and I just added
your Holiday.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
It's like, I don't know who the hell is gonna
put the ball in the basket for them, But boy,
it's gonna be hard to defend against them, so or
to score against them.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Cool.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
The Kings, I don't love any I don't like anything
the Kings did. It just this is a lot of money.
It's just a lot of money. And Denis Shrewder and yes,
he played so well they got his a D minus.
He played so well for Detroit after he got there.
But there is a reason he's been on thirteen different teams. Man,
I don't know that the Kings are just.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Next.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
We got the San Antonio Spurs, who they gave a B.
I really really do like the center acquisitions that they got.
They got two guys and Louke Cornett and Kelly Olennok
who can play alone or play alone side Victor Iviyama,
and I just can't wait to see some of the
line up so they end up putting out there. What
will happen with Dylan Harper, we don't really know right now.
How much room will he get to grow as a rookie,
(30:35):
We don't know. But again, just great in the offseason.
I'm not mad at the grade they gave them, which
is a B, because yeah, the center exist was cool
because like when Winny went off the court, Obviously, when
you have a guy as good as Winby, the own
off numbers are always going to be skewed because he's
that damn talented. But it's just so many other players,
and shout out to Mamu because he was he was
yet the one game with Flavor and the tennis. But
(30:56):
lu Cortnett is a real good basketball player, at least
he was the last two years. Hell, who the hell knows.
You leave Boston, maybe some stuff happens. But in Kayler
Lennok he could be all right sometime. The Toronto Raptors
didn't do a lot. They just got Yaka Purdle on
an extension. Kylin Murray Bores was one of my interesting,
more interesting players in this draft. Nobody has a question
about the defense. I think that's gonna be real at
an NBA level from day one. The question is will
he ever be able to be a plus offensively without
(31:19):
him having to, I don't know, have the ball in
his hands to make those plays.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Kitty hit some shots, the three pointers. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
They gave it a D because I think brandon ingram extension.
That didn't happen this offseason, right, that happened during the
regular season if I'm not mistaken, So I'm not gonna count that,
and you're great. They really just brought by Yacka Perle
you Tad Jazz fifth overall pick. They waited too long,
They gave it a sea, They waited too long with
all of it. Every single guy that they got rid
of this offseason I felt like had some level of
value over the last couple of years. Jordan Clarkson, Colin Sexton,
(31:50):
John Collin, Well, maybe not John Collins. I feel like
he's one of the black forever. But those other guys
I felt like had some value across the league at
one point, and most of the guys either bought out
or traded for nothing.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
So I can't love that part.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
I do like that they are completely saying, Okay, we're
gonna win twenty games next season, and we're gonna do
it with our young guys. So Ace Bailey, Bryce Sense
the Ball, Isaiah Coleer, Walter Clayton, all of y'all just
got to go out there hoop and whatever happens happens.
I think that's interesting, and yeah, we want to the
Washington Wizards to another one of those teams that did
a lot of moves around the edges.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Love it. Sorry y'all at the end of the video, I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
I feel like every day I get tweeted a clip
that I've said about the goddamn wizards. I don't know
what else I can really say. All Right, I'm I'm
out of
