Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome to Kicking In with Kiki, Kicking Dippy ki Ki
kicking Dippy ki Key.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
For a little personality, switching up the story, inline on
God we making the story and hooks Chris one day
at the time.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Much problems to the side.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Enjoy yourself, free.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Your mind, chicken it we Ki. Keep what's up, guys,
and welcome to a new episode of Kicking It with Kiki, Life,
love and all that other shit. I am your girl,
Kiki Chanel. We all about mindset over here. I am

(00:52):
joined with none other than my sister mister Butterfly thought
herself coach Kimmy b and we have something that we
would love to share with you guys that we are
collaborating on a new project and it is bombed. Now
let me tell you how it all started. We were

(01:13):
just talking and she was like, hey, I got this
challenge coming. I was like, I'm gonna challenge. She said,
she has this course coming up, a workshop she don't
tell you, yeah, And I was like, well, I'm working
on this challenge and I'm gonna start mine the first
week of April. She was like, mine start the second
week of eight. And then she said we both she

(01:37):
do let's just join forces and give the people a
two for one. Now, my challenge is free. Hers is not.
But I'm gonna let her tell you why that is. Okay.
She was just on the podcast a couple of weeks ago,
and I was not gonna do an episode this week.

(02:00):
This is like a busy week and got a lot
going on, and I was just gonna do a hiatus
and come back next week. But you know, y'all expect
me to be here on Thursdays, and so I'm here
on Thursday. So kim, reintroduce yourself to the people, tell
them who you are and what you do.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Hey, hey, everyone, how y'all doing?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
This?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Is a young girl? Can you be?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
CEO, Founder and owner of Butterfly Thoughts. I am a author, speaker,
certified journal, therapy coach, and your perspective coach. I help
young black women just to transform their mind from a

(02:51):
from a fixed mindset to a more fluid mindset so
that they can now transform their life and understand that
they are the calm in the middle of the storm.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I'm loving it. Did you hear what you just said?
You help them go from a fixed mindset to a
fluid mindset, Rolling with the homie.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Hey, going with the flow.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
That's what it is like when you rolling with the homies,
You're just going with the flow.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yep. Yes, it has to be that way. Life is too.
Life is already chaotic.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
And this yes, yes, And you gotta find the peace
within the storm. You know, every in every storm there
is an eye, and in that eye of the storm
is where it is the calms, where it's the most peaceful.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
And all around it.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
So we might as well be the peace in the
eye of the storm.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Listen, you you know I live in Louisiana, so I
know all about the eye of the hurricane, the storms
and all of the things. So thank you for breaking
it down. You know that I love all things mindset
because I'm a certain five mindset coach. Your perspective coach
which deals with mindset as well, do yestely. So when
I was coming, well, what prompted this challenge, let me

(04:27):
just go ahead and say, is you know I was
on steroids, trying to shrink something that wasn't supposed to
be there in the first place. But in the process
you have to go through stuff. And everybody that has
been on steroids or know about steroids they make you
get bigger, that you gain, you gain weight. It could
God's mood swings and things like that, and so I

(04:50):
went in, had to have a little procedure done, jump
my little black ass on the scale and it's that
and I was like, I know you, then just do
that to me and it was like girl, and I
was too embarrassed. I was like, Scale, don't do me that.
And the scale was like, don't do yourself that. Get

(05:11):
that together, and I was right, all right, when I
come back, I got you right. So that's what I'm
I'm working on getting back to me physically and emotionally
because when you become an emotional eater subconsciously, because that's
what was happening, I was doing it subconsciously, and it

(05:34):
creates a cycle that needs to be broken. So I
feel like eating green and clean for me has always worked.
And why not in like minded individuals partner with you,
which what you got going on? And you're gonna tell

(05:54):
them in a minute, And let's just have some type
of community to keep each other accountable, to keep each
other in prayer, to keep each other motivated. I am
offering recipes for a green salads, green smoothies and green
juice because I have been green smoothieing a long time, right,

(06:15):
and people still hit me up and say, hey, I
need some of your green smoothie recipes because this and
this and that and I just get myself back together.
And I never thought about how impactful me sharing that
stuff would be for somebody, especially if you don't get
like the likes or the comments and stuff like that.
I'm not really big on that anyway. Whoever gonna support,
gonna support. But knowing that what at post was resonating

(06:39):
with someone, it helped me. And so here we are.
We're doing the Green Eating Challenge for the month of April,
five weeks. One day per week on Wednesdays at five
pm Central Standard time, we will be meeting Veiled Zoom.

(07:00):
If you would like to be a part of it,
just go to d Kiki chanel on i G click
the link in my bio and you will have the link.
The link stays the same their entire time. I'm not
gonna be sending it out because it's there, so if
you're serious and you want to be a part of
the challenge, it is free. I have some some great

(07:21):
information that I'm gonna be sharing. And it's it's all
about the mindset that we have toward food, right because
being that emotional eater, you want you you want to
consume stuff that makes you feel good, so that tends.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
To be what shifts all kind of crunchy sugar. Yea
mm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
So we are breaking the cycle a processed sugar and
fast food and any other thing that you feel like
you're able to sacrifice. I am putting it where you
only have to replace one meal per day with something green,
whether it be one of the green salad recipes that
I post, I share, one of the smooth green smoothes,

(08:08):
or one of the juices. You can do all three
if you're about that life. And I'm gonna be doing
that because for the whole month of April, I am
eating clean, not just being green, but I'm eating clean
as well. So that means no fried foods, no alcohol,
and I'm not a drinker anyway, processed sugar. You know,
I don't really consume a lot of meat, so I'm

(08:28):
just I'm just going for it because it is time
to get back to me.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
So when I say I say all that to say,
come join us, man, Come join us. It is free time.
We don't have a good time. And so when I
told you about the green the eating green challenge, what
did you say? What did you say?

Speaker 1 (08:53):
So listen y'all. I was like, you know, I'm trying.
I'm thinking of doing a challenge.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Well not really a challenge, but I have these prayer
bags that I'm selling that I'm you know, selling to
you guys. And I was like, you know what, I
should put a zoom thing together so that you know,
we can go through use these prayer journals as they're

(09:22):
being sold and you know, helping the people out, just
to give them a little thing else going on, right
and put something else more in their daily routine so
that they can get closer to God.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Right.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
And not only that, we have Length going on this
month for the next forty days, which started last week
I think it was. And then there's also Ramadan, which
is a fasting. Well, both Length and Ramadan are both
fasting entities, right, And I usually do let because I

(10:00):
was raised as in the Caribbean household and we usually
do lent. But for me this time, I didn't want
to take away anything. I didn't want to fast from anything.
I really wanted to add something. And that's another thing
that people don't understand. Lent is not always taken away.
It's it's something that you need to do to get

(10:23):
closer to your father or to whoever your how your
power is right.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
We we love God over here, but y'all got.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Over here, bettys. So I said, Okay, you know what.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
In the month of April, I'm gonna go live on
Zoom every Monday and have the people come in with me.
Those who purchase the prayer bags will be also getting
the link to that Zoom, link to that event or

(11:00):
to that course workshop, whatever you want to call it.
It's just for us to stay accountable, not only to ourselves,
but to one another, or hold each other accountable. One
and two having a community of praying people. And with that,

(11:22):
because of Kiki's challenge that she's doing, I figured clean eating,
green eating along with prayer can keep us on the
right track and keep us accountable for what we're doing.
So why not collaborate, right, Why not bring these two,

(11:43):
these two great entities together and allow it to blossom.
Not only for us because yes we're going to be
doing it too, but not only for ourselves, but for
you guys as well. So this is the reason why
I did minds and this is the reason why be collaborated.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Absolutely. I love the fact that we both incorporated prayer
in ours because we will pray doing the green eating
challenge too, because it will get hard. H if you
are in it with the right intention. It is supposed
to get hard. If it was easy, we didn't, we
wouldn't need to do it. So a man with an

(12:23):
open heart and an open mind to receive what you
want to happen in your life. And we are going
to work collectively to get us there. And I'm not
saying you it's.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Us right us as a community, and be intentional mhm.
And know why you're doing this, because if you don't
have a why, you're not gonna stay on track.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Absolutely right. And I did invite anybody to just make
it a family thing too, if you have a family,
making a family thing.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Yeah, oh yeah, you could definitely make it a family thing,
you know.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
So I got, I got, I got some good recipes, y'all.
These I've been I've been eating, practicing on these salads
and eating these salas in these moothies and stuff, and
they have been.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Y yeah, and I've been seeing it through the screen Honting,
and them things be looking ooh so good.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Yes, So I think that the most pivotal part of
the Green Eating Challenge for me is experiencing a new
mindset shift.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Mm hmmm mm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Yeah, so you know, getting a little bit closer to God.
And that's that's like the one relationship that I just
cannot mess up. No, not anymore because He has been
so good to me. So I would be doing myself
a disservice by by messing up like yeah, we see

(13:59):
it and stuff like that, but just intentionally doing stuff. No,
I'm not. I'm not about that life. And that's why
I feel like when you consume healthy stuff, yes, mind, body,
and spirit.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
You see what this is all about.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
That your mind, your body, and your spirit clear so
that you can go into what we call the the
actual New Year with a clean heart, a clean mind,
and a clean focus.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Bars for real.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Right, yes, so what she said? Okay, So the challenge,
the Green Eating Challenge starts April second, Wednesday at five
pm Central Standard time six o'clock Eastern Standard time. The
zoom link is in the bio on my i G page.

(14:56):

a part of Coach kim.

Kimmy mm hmm, follow us on ig give them your.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Ig ig is I am Butterfly Thoughts. I am Butterfly
Thoughts and.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
D k k Chanel. That's my Instagram our in the
individual handles will be in the show notes, so you
guys can reference that if you are resonated with this
podcast episode. But we just wanted to come on and
just share what we have going on, and we have
a lot of people in the community that had things
going on too, so hopefully they'll be a part of

(15:56):
the challenges and they can share what they have coming
up our sessions and then you guys can follow them,
and you know, just make sure that you have someone
that will love on you, whether you know them or not,
because life is hard. We need people that we can
trust and count on to show up for us without
having that sense of entitlement or expectancy in a negative way,

(16:21):
right right, because I am I'm a living witness, and
I can attest to this that people love for you
to show up for them, but when it comes to be,
have them show up for you.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Crickets Yep, yep, yep, crickets, crickets.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Yeah, And you know, I like to just look at
it from you know, of course, a different perspective, like I.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Always do, because you know, I am a perspective coach
and say.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
I like to, you know, look at things from a
different perspective and say, you know, not every half the time,
not everybody. Everybody got things going on, but however, show
up for yourself so that once you show up for yourself,

(17:15):
you can show up for others and hopefully that will
now in return come back to you.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
And not everybody's gonna do it.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
However, it's okay because they're not meant to be there.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
God is gonna put the people who is meant to
be there.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Yeah, you just took the words out of my mouth.
I couldn't have said it better. That's exactly what I
was over here thinking and you just said it, and
thank you got more alignment. It's amazing. How you know,
you meet people and you so much alike you can
kind of like, hey, I feel thinking that.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Yeah, yep, it's crazy, ain't it.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
It is.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
My best friend always tells me I need to stop
doing that because it's like I have lepty.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
She's like, you know when.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Stuffing is wrong with me? I'm like, no, I you
dropped in my spirit. I just called you.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
I heard something. I said it.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
That's it. I mean, if you have a bum with somewhere,
you could definitely feel when they all or whatever, and
then you'll ask you okay, yeah I'm okay, and you
can see it all over them. But I feel like
in times like this you shouldn't push because people just
may not want to open up at the moment. M

(18:32):
M for you.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
And if you are, if you are a praying personal,
hopefully you are, that's when you said, okay, let me
just pray for you, and y'all take that. Take that moment,
and y'all pray and say, God, I don't need to
know what is going on, but whatever it is, please
cover her, buy him, and protect her as she goes

(18:57):
through this tough situation that she's in.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Absolutely day, that's all you need to do because at
the end of the days, don't be knowing some stuff
you ain't meant to be knowing.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Okay, that's a whole other thing, you know. But again,
you will know when the time is right.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Let me find absolutely, absolutely so before we get all
out of here. Yes, lease joined the Green Eating Challenge
is only for five weeks because we have five weeks
in the month of April. That's not a long time.

then do that. You you're gonna look better, you're gonna
feel better, and you're gonna be trying to be like

am and knowing that abundance is your birthright.

our experience, that's right, and we're gonna lean each other
doing the process.

That's right.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Something to kick.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
You off with this challenge. And I don't even really
want to call it a challenge. It's just like minded
individuals who want to get more closer to God, who
want to add more a prayer life into their daily
routine and just want to be in commun unity.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
