Welcome to Kids First Coming Attractions, your VIP passed to
the silver screen pact with authentic kid powered insights. Today
we're taking a cosmic journey as Kids First sits down
with Leonis Cabria, the talented star of Disney and Pixar's
new film, Ilio. Get ready to hear his insightful thoughts
on what could be one of Disney and Pixar's greatest
hits yet. The film promises characters that' spar compassion, and friendship,

(00:25):
all brought to life with state of the art animation
that truly creates an out of this world universe.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Thank you for talking with me today, Yonas, Yeah, thank
you for having me.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Absolutely well, Elio. He is definitely a spirited individual with
his tech know how and seemingly boundless energy. Is there
a part of his personality that you resonate with the most?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
He has such an active imagination, He's always down for
an adventure, and he has an ability not to care
about what other people think. And I admire that about him,
and he's kind of helped me, you know, to always
be myself because I'm the best self I can be,
and to never change.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Yes, I totally get that it's always good to have
a character who can help you through and always have
a defining characteristic that they're known for speaking of. Was
there a time or a moment when recording that stood
out to you?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah, I have some some funny stories. So I didn't
eat breakfast this day because it was very It was
very early in the morning. I got to the recording
studio and Vince, the audio engineer, like sense he heard
some weird sound coming from the mic, So he goes like,
let's re record that line because I think there was
like maybe you moved your leg on it or something.
I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah, sure, sure, So we recorded

(01:40):
it again. But he heard He keeps hearing the sounds
like coming in and out, so he came into the
booth to see if maybe there was something in there
that was like making a creaking sound. Nothing. It was
like a cartoon like. When he goes in, it's completely gone.
He puts his detective hat on and goes, yo, guys,
I think I figured out what this sound is, like,
can you guess what it is?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
I kind of want to say, Gordon, but I don't
know for sure.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Close it. It was my stomach getting mad at me
for not eating breakfast, or maybe it was like trying
to get a cameo in the movie or something.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Was there a time during production that was the most challenging.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Any any movie has a very emotional scene. In Leo,
there's multiple emotional scenes. I mean, there's maybe you'll cry
three times, four times, I don't know, but there's a
lot of emotional and deep scenes in this movie. And
I think with any movie that I've worked on, it's
always hard for me to tap into like that emotional state,
but this time it was especially more challenging. But I'm

(02:37):
happy that, you know, we got something that works, and
it works a lot. You know, it looks really good.
That was probably like the most challenging part for me,
those emotional scenes.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Disney and Pixar have had a well decorated portfolio with
previous movies. How do you see Elo differing from ones
made in the past by these two studios.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
What's great about this movie is really just you feel
like you are on an adventure with La and you
go through his emotional journey with Elio meeting all these aliens,
and when you come out of this theater, I hope
the talk is let's go watch it again.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Speaking of what you just said, what do you hope
audiences take away from watching this film besides just going
to go see it again, which I definitely would recommend.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Yeah, I want them to realize and understand how important
your friends and your family are and there'll always be
on your side when you need them and they're your
number one fans. They're always supporting you. You maybe lost
a family member or a pet, you know everything is
going to be okay. Just stay positive and you'll get
through it.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Exactly. You are never alone. There is always someone that
you can talk to or communicate with if needed.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
