Speaker 1 (00:07):
Welcome to Kids First Coming Attractions. You're a VIP passed
to the silver screen pact with authentic kid Parrot Insights. Today,
we're returning to the beloved nation of Wakanda with the
new animated series Is of Wakanda. This exciting show brings
an intense story full of action, emotion, and moral complexity.
While the last time we saw Wakanda was in the
hit film Black Panther Wakanda Forever, this series actually takes
(00:28):
place before either of the Black Panther films, and let
me tell you it, both hit and exceeded our expectations.
Isa Wakanda is a gorgeous and incredibly compelling story with
great characters and storylines. Each episode shines in its own way.
Listen to what Jackson and Isabella have to say.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Hi, I'm Jackson reporting for Kids First.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Hi I'm Isabella reputting for Kids First, And today I'll
be reviewing the show Is of Waconda.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Is of Wakonda finally brings us back to the beloved
nation of Wakanda with an exciting and intense already full
of action, emotion and moral complexity.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Eyes of Aconda is a gorgeous and incredibly investing story
with wilverritten characters and storylines.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Last time we saw Wakonda was in Marvel's hit film
Black Panther Waconda Forever. However, this series takes place before
either of the Black Panther films.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Each episode shines in its own unique way, leading to
an engaging and shocking experience. The story follows war Dogs,
a group of a Condon soldiers whose mission is to
find stolen Condon artifacts, with each episode following a different
soldier at different times.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Along the way, they encounter powerful enemies, including the warrior
known as the Lion played by Chris Williams, who is
one of Wakanda's strongest warriors, second in strength only to
the King.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
The animation is phenomenal. Everything looks stunning, especially the backgrounds.
For example, the intro of each episode is uniquely executed
and visually appealing thanks to its unique look.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
My only complained is that the animation style feels too much,
a little like a Disney film reminiscent of the show
You Watch You, versus having the signature style of a
Marvel series like your friendly neighborhood Spider Man.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Another technical aspect I enjoy is the costuming and how
it incorporates not all the characters' personalities but also their culture.
One that I particularly like is The Lions played by
Chris Williams because it incorporates not only his personality and
as confidence, but also his power.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Background music is another strong point. It helps set the
mood in each scene, like the soft emotional tunes used
when Memnod played by Larry Heron must make a heartbreaking choice,
which ties directly into the Greek myth of Achilles heel.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Each character is extremely well written, with each having their
own great character and overlapping ones. The characters feel so believable,
which made me feel empathetic towards them. I was constantly
excited to see how everything would play out and what
character I would meet next.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
The main message of Eyesable Kanda is that power is
a delicate thing. It includes themes of knowing wrong from right, loyalty,
and being careful who you trust.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
The show's message is to follow your own path and
not the ones others sit out for you. Be one.
There are some intense scenes, including blood and death.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Parents should know that it includes many scaring moments, including
Mannoni has taken hostage. I give Isaac Wilconda five out
of five stars and highly recommend it for ages twelve
to eighteen plus adults.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
I give ISAA Waconda five out of five stars and
recommended ages twelve to eighteen plus adults.
