scripture is coming from Galatians the fifth chapter, the letter

the twenty twenty edition. That's y'all know, that's my favorite version.
And it says, but I say walk by the Spirit,
and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh,
for the desire of the flesh is against the spirit,
and the spirit is against the flesh. For these are

in opposition to one another, in order to keep you
from doing whatever you want. All right, there's Galatians the
fifth chapter, the sixteenth through the seventeenth verse the New
American Standard Bible, the twenty twentieth edition. So let's start
things off by let's start off this this first episode

where we're talking about the force from within, the spirit
versus the flesh. Let me ask you this, have you
ever felt like that there was a war going on
the inside of you, like you were torn between who
you are trying to become and who or what you

used to be. Right that right there is exactly what
we're getting into right now. See, because Paul was basically
saying this right here, the force is real, all right,
So just y'all, y'all, y'all follow along here. All all

of the Star Wars fans you know about the force, okay,
all right? And for those of you who don't know
what the force is, just follow along with it. You'll
you'll understand this parallel. It's easy. Paul was basically saying this,
the force is real, except in the Kingdom of Heaven,
we call it the Holy Spirit, right y'all, y'all like

that craftiness right there right this battle between the spirit
and the flesh. That's your own personal Order sixty six.
And for those of you who don't know what order
sixty six is Order sixty six was when Palpatine ordered
that all the Clones will go against the Jedi and

take over the the the old Republic and it becomes
the new Galactic Empire, all right. So it was the
major conflict in the in in all the Star Wars
or the sixty six. So the battle between the spirit
and flesh is an Order sixty six. It's a betrayal

that starts from within the It's a betrayal that starts
from the inside of you. Every time you let your
flesh outvote or outdo your faith. Every time you let
your flesh outvote or outdo your faith. Let's break this down.

The flesh can be compared to the dark side of
the Force, right, and the dark side of the Force.
One day, I'm gonna give a power session on that
along on his own, because y'all would probably think I
was a silf lord. But I'm not a silf lord,
I promise you. I'm somewhere along the lines between the

gray area, you know, a grey Jedi. You know, maybe
I don't even know if I would join the Jedi,
because the Jedi they got real confident from within themselves.
But that's neither here there, let's stay on the line
of topic. The flesh can be compared to the dark
side of the force. It's not just sin right itself.

It's pride, it's ego, its emotion. Think about in a
Casca Anakin skywalker was very, very powerful. He was a
chosen one and he was gifted. But for all of

those things that he had that was good for him,
he was insecure, emotional, and angry. That was the order
sixty six from within himself. Ultimately, he wanted peace, but
he didn't want patience. He had the force, but he
(05:36):
didn't have the discipline. He knew the prophecy, but ignored
the process. Man, that's deep right there, because that resonates
with a lot of us. Most of us we already
know exactly what God has called us to do, exactly
what God has sent us to be in this world.

Some of us are still struggling with our purpose, but
there's a majority of us that know what God has
called us to be. We're just we just we are
just missing that last part. And and that's the order
sixty six from within ourselves. That's how the flesh can

be compared to the dark side of the force. Now,
the spirit, it can be compared to the light side
of the force. Right, you know, nobody, you know, they
they everybody pretty much really says that. You know, if
(06:41):
you use the dark side of the force, and that
makes you evil, if you use the light side of
the force, that makes you good. I think it's more
of a yin and a yang. I don't think it's
good versus evil. I think people embraced the dark side
of the force to do with and them already possessing
(07:02):
the evil intention, right, so it's exploited as if the
practice is within the dark side of force is evil.
So yeah, I told you I'm gonna break that thing
down one day. I won't break that thing down for
you one day. But the spirit can be compared to
the light side of the force. It's quiet, but it's powerful.

It's impactful. It doesn't force, it doesn't dictate it God's
it's not reactive, it's responsive, and it's redemptive. It helps
you see things clearly even when you're under pressure. If

you're walking by the spirit, you don't have to live
in sin or guilt. But if you're living in the flesh,
don't be surprised when that power and when that pride
becomes corruption, let's keep it a buck. You can't say

you're walking in the spirit but making deals with your pride.
This life, in this life, this precious life that God
gives us, in this kingdom walk. It requires us that
(08:34):
we wake up every single day and make a decision
every day when we walk, when we fight, when we
put on the Lord Jesus Christ, as the scriptures will say,

it requires us to make a decision and a choice.
Do I feed the Anakin in me? Or do I
feed the spirit and let the luke in me rise? Man? Look, look,
(09:18):
I can preach this thing, but this ain't This ain't
no sermon. This ain't no sermon. I could go to
town with this right here. Man, Do I feed the
Anakin in me? Or do I feed the spirit and
allow the luke in me to rise? See? Because y'all
got to understand. In the Return of the Jedi, no
(09:43):
one expected Darth Vader to come back to the light
side of the forest because he had been practicing the
dark side of the force for so long, ever since
his Internal Or sixty six. He was about killing, He

was about extortion. He was about doing everything that opposed
life it was all about being the master, you know,
and being the master in the worst way by being
(10:25):
a slave to someone else. Do you feed your wants
more than your needs? I guess that could be the
question too. Are your spiritual needs? Are your spiritual needs

prioritized more over than your wants? Because that's what brought
balance to the Force, and that's what brings us balance
in our wants with Christ. You know, the scriptures does

teach us to cast our cares all upon Him. That
means our wants in our needs. But there's a balance there,
and we got to start exercising that balance. That's why
I said, for me, I will probably neither be Jedi.
I will probably be be I would definitely not be
(11:27):
Jedi or sif I would be a teacher or the
Force an academy, I would have academy just for the Force,
just to help people keep balance from within themselves, you know,
not to protect you from yourself, but to basically teach
you how to keep balance from within the storm, from

within the order sixty six that's in you. So again,
the battle of this episode is the Force, is the
force within the spirit versus the flesh. And we stood
on Galatians five sixteen through seventeen, and here's the takeaway.

There's a consistent war happening inside, but God already gave
you the power to win. You don't need to earn
the spirit, just walk with you. Don't need to fear
the flesh, just starving. This is kingdom wars, and now

that you know that the battle is within, it's time
to fight like it. Stay grounded, stay kingdom and made.
The spirit always be with you, and always remember to
be the best kingdom citizen that you can be, and
