Speaker 1 (00:01):
Yo, what's good family, How y'all doing out there? And
I would like to welcome you officially to Kingdom Wars
Lessons from a Galaxy Far far Away, a power session
series where we take a deep dive into Kingdom truths
and connect them to stories from the Star Wars universe.
(00:24):
I'm your host none other than the infamous King j
Lu aka King j Lewis, And this is me Jared Lewis.
And this episode is entitled The Light Side Versus the
Dark Side in Balance One more time for the people
(00:45):
in the back, The Light Side Versus the Dark Side
in Balance? Oh yeah, we're going there today. We're about
to challenge some of y'all's favorite theology and mixed in
there together with the Star Wars lore, all together in
(01:05):
one train of thought and one train of mindset. Right, So,
what if I was to tell you that the Jedi
weren't always right? And in that same token, what if
I was to also say that the Sith weren't always
wrong either, That the real issue wasn't about necessarily choosing
(01:29):
a side, whether you chose the path of a Jedi
or whether you chose the path of a Sith, but
understanding the imbalanced that both sides had created. So before
we get any deeper, let's root this in the Word
of God. Our focus scripture for today is Ecclesiastes.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Seven and eighteen.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
And of course you know we're coming from my favorite
Bible version, the New American Standard Bible, the twenty twenty edition,
and it says it is good to grasp one thing
while not letting go of the other, for one who
fears God comes out.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
With both of them.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
All right, that's Ecclesiastes seven and eighteen, the New American
Standard Bible, the twenty twentieth edition. Now, I don't want
you to misunderstand this isn't about this podcast episode, this
power session, this episode of Kingdom Wars episode two, is
(02:40):
not about being lukewarm. It's about being whole. It's about
spiritual balance, letting the spirit help you hold the fire
as well as the peace holding ambition, but as well
as surrender, holding your emotions, but also holding discernment without
(03:07):
losing who you are in Christ Jesus. This episode right
here is for the thinkers, the seekers, the ones tired
of being told to either calm down or burn it
all down. Let's talk about balance on today all right,
let's keep it a buck before we even go in
(03:29):
the further. The Jedi were supposed to be guardians of
peace they but over time their version of the light
it got rigid and it got very cold. And what
a lot of people didn't understand. What a lot of
(03:51):
people don't understand about the Jedi is that they literally
stole children from their families and they trained those children
as younglings to suppress emotion. They forbade attachment and relationship,
(04:13):
all in the name of peace. But let's just be honest,
peace without passion is just a performance. You have to
be able to own them both in a balance. And
(04:34):
this is where the Jedi ex exploited the light side
of the force in the wrong way. While they literally
went to children and decided whether they were going to
be good for the Jedi order or not, they looked
(04:54):
at all for sensitives and was just like, you know what,
I don't know if they're gonna be good. Well I
think that, or I think they're gonna be good, so
let's take them. And it was really a.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Form of judgment.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
But as they taught in their temples, they told them
to forget about your emotions and forget about your feelings,
and that's not right. So then you have the Sith
They tapped into the dark side of the force. All right, now,
(05:32):
before I go into further, I know what the understanding is.
The light side of the force represents good. The dark
side of the force represents evil. But that's not the case.
The Syth practiced the dark side of the force. They
tapped into that not because they were evil, but because they.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Were hungry from growth. The Syth Order started out with.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
It started out with desire, and it started out with
a vision to grow and urge to evolve. But later
on the Sith Order became corrupted.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
By fear.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
It became corrupted by anger. It can became corrupted by control.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Because that passion, that desire.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
And that vision of growth turned selfish and it turned inward.
What once began as a pursuit of freedom became a
system of domination, so much to a point a Sith Lord,
(06:53):
the guy who was in charge of the Sith Order
literally had to literally literally had to adopt the order
the rule of two with one sith Lord and another
sith Lord that's an apprentice, meaning that they can only
be two sith Yeah, so here's the lesson. When in
(07:18):
either the light or the dark is taken to the
extreme and left unchecked, you get what you call imbalance.
And this is exactly what Ecclesiastes seven and eighteen speaks to.
It is good to grasp one thing out while not
(07:44):
letting go of the other. For one who fears God
comes out with both of them. It's not saying to
pick the safest option. What it's saying is hold both
(08:04):
with passion and peace in reverence to God.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Now, let's bring this all home.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Jesus didn't live in the extremities of the dark side
of the force or the light side of the force.
Jesus didn't live in the extremities of good and evil.
Jesus lived in balance. Understand what I'm saying. Jesus lived
(08:37):
in balance. That's a kingdoms standard. That's kingdom, that's kingdom rights.
That's an establishment of the wholeness and holiness of God.
Jesus flipped tables in the temple, but then washed his
(08:58):
disciples feet. Look. Look, look, look, look, I'm just telling
you what's in there. Now. I'm just I'm just telling
you what's in the Bible. I'm talking about balance. Jesus
flipped tables in the temple and then washed his disciples feet.
Jesus rebuked demons, but also wept and Lazarus's tomb.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
I'm not preaching, I'm just talking to you. Hear me out.
We're talking about balance.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
He walked away from the crowds, but walked boldly to
the cross.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Jesus didn't pick sides. He stayed submitted to God.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Jesus was and is the embodiment of righteous balance, the
perfect tension of fire and stillness, truth and love, strength,
and as well as humility. So you know I'm gonna
(10:19):
come for all of us, right, you know you all
would come for all of.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Us, right?
Speaker 1 (10:26):
I mean you?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
But you know this, right? You? You?
Speaker 1 (10:29):
But you do you you already do this ahead of time.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
But what about us?
Speaker 1 (10:38):
What about you? You've been told to pick a side.
We've all been told to pick a side, to either
be the calm one or the passionate one.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
To either shut up and keep the peace or go
off and let the fire fall. Here's the thing. Kingdom
living does not work like that. It don't work like that.
(11:24):
Kingdom living.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Operating the way that God called us to be, to
take authority over the precedences, to take authority over our trials,
to take authority of our tribulations, to take authority over
the things that come into our life. It don't work
(11:55):
like that. God didn't make you. God made you whole.
You were never meant to choose one side of yourself
to be justified by your good and versus your evil.
(12:20):
You were meant to be justified as He created you
as a whole. You amit to submit all of yourself
to the authority in which He birthed you. That's what
(12:40):
brings balance, That's what brings alignment. That's what makes you
effective in your purpose. Knowing what your balance is and
(13:00):
accepting those things which God has called you to operate
in as a whole, not impartially, not to just make
ends me, but as a whole. That's what allows God
(13:29):
to make the crooked places straight in your life by
catering to you as a whole, not the impartiality of it.
So here's the challenge. Here's the challenge, fel Here we go, reflect.
(13:50):
Where have you been out of balance? Are you hiding
behind peace to avoid your purpose? Are you using passion
to justify being unhealed? Reclaim?
Speaker 3 (14:12):
Reclaim your fire, reclaim your voice, reclaim your emotions, and
reclaim your discernment.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
They are not evil.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
There are tools that are in need of divine order.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Reset.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Balance is not about being neutral, It's about being fully
alive under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Because you.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Are the chosen one, just like Anakin was.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
You are the chosen one, and balance starts from within.
This is Kingdom wars, and now that you know that
the battle is within, it's time to fight like it.
(15:16):
Stay grounded, stay kingdom, and may the Spirit always be
with you, and always remember to be the best Kingdom
citizen that you can be and exercise your right as
a kingdom citizen until the next one.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
