Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, what's going on everybody? How y'all doing out there?
This is Jared Lewis a ka Keey j Lou aka
key J Lewis, and I would like to welcome you.
Welcome you to another episode of the Kingly Discussions podcast
with Yours truly Jared Lewis. What's up y'all? How y'all

(00:20):
doing out there? All right? So you know, just like
I promised, this is our first power session that we
come out here. You know here in these power sessions,
it's a lot different than our Sunday School live and online. Originally,
this is the reason why we came here. Our power
session is going to reflect what we originally came to do,

(00:42):
what we originally started with. What I originally wanted to
do was just make audio, make video, put it out there,
encourage people, empower people, equit people, and allow people just
to be a better person. So then I started getting
this right, and this inclination within me started growing and

(01:04):
it was like a It's like a seed that never
ceased to continue to keep growing or whatnot. So as
I'm continuing to get this seed, as it continues to
go and built up from within me, the one thing
that I noticed with this seed that was Plannet, it
was like kingdom, right, And so this kingdom mindset, this

(01:26):
kingdom diasthpa, this kingdom like mentality started overtaking me. So
I started thinking about royalty. And then, if I'm not mistaken,
rather about that time, uh, not too before, not too
much before long, Queen Elizabeth had passed. So I was like, okay, kingdom, kingdom.

(01:47):
So I started, you know, researching some Bible versus. I
started looking at some Bible versus that was concerned about
this word kingdom, right, and I started noticing how amazing
the Kingdom of God actually is, how prominent it is,
how sure it is, and how there's only one person

(02:09):
that sits on that throne, and no matter what, Jesus
still stits on that throne. And I think that's amazing
to know that it doesn't matter who transitions, what mishaps
there are within us as humanistic as humans. The spiritual kingdom,

(02:35):
the Kingdom of Heaven that I'm referring to, that king
never changes. And the reason why I'm bringing this up
is because Jesus is the same yesterday today and he
will be forevermore. Now I don't know about you but

(02:55):
that is so relaxing to my brain, because I'm men
of routine. Every day I wake up do the same
thing over and over and over and over again. And
I want to let you know that doesn't bother me.
That I'm cool with that. You know, sometimes I get bored,
But it doesn't make a make or break anything. It

(03:16):
doesn't shake anything. So within this kingdom, within this diaspa,
within this great vastness of the Kingdom of Heaven, the
one thing that I notice is that Jesus is sitting
on that throne. And just as I say that before,
as Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. The

(03:36):
policies don't change that. That that is just amazing to me.
And here in this power session, this is this is
what I'm referring to, This Kingdom of Heaven, this kingdom
that Jesus the Christ sits on it, it's not going

(04:01):
to change. It's going to be the same no matter what.
And that means a lot to me. That means a
lot to me, and it should mean a lot to you,
because hearing the kingdom is where we get the access
to the spirituality. I get so tired of the routine

(04:26):
of Christian Christianity sometimes that it just it just makes
me tired the rubric, the old school. And I'm not
knocking the old school. I'm not knocking the old routine.
I'm just saying the way that we just believe that

(04:47):
there's only one way and not to transcend or accept
the way that this generation is it's just almost unbelievable
to me. So I hope that during this power session
we'll be able to get some understandings why we should

(05:08):
choose the kingdom, and hopefully I'll be able to challenge
the thought processes of saying why not choose the kingdom? Right, So,
as we're discussing everyday challenges that prevent us from embracing
the Kingdom of Heaven, I think one of the challenges,

(05:31):
one of the everyday challenges that we face every single
day is pride. Hey, that's me right there. Let me
go ahead and raise my head. That's be all day
every day. Pride. Pride is something that I believe a
lot of us struggle with because sometimes when you're bent

(05:52):
on survival, you grow a sense of understanding of yourself
that no matter what, you're not gonna feel yourself and
within pride also holds you in a shell, right, because
that's me. I'm not going to ask for help. And
I think anyone that knows me, my personal family or

(06:12):
people who know me in general, I'm not going to
ask for help. My brothers of the Square, they know
the same thing. I'm not going to ask for help.
I could care less about, you know, asking for help
because I guess that my pride is based upon finding myself.

(06:34):
I leave that space for you to reach out to me.
And is that wrong? Yes? And one way that is wrong.
It's just your pride is so full to where you
could you could really be in a situation and you

(06:56):
and you just don't feel the need to express that
to people who care about you. And like I said,
for me in that space, I don't care about that.
So pride is one of those things that those daily

(07:21):
challenges that you face every day in the Kingdom. In
the Kingdom, you can't be prideful. It's hard for you
to be prideful in the Kingdom of Heaven. And I
think the reason why it's hard is because you have
to be totally subjective to God because he because Jesus

(07:45):
is the gateway to Him. So in essence, if you're
going to be prideful and being so full of yourself
and within confident within yourself to where you don't seek
out God. Yeah, I can see where that could be

(08:07):
an issue. Another challenge that we face this fear. And
I'm gonna reference this because you know, in our previous
Sunday school lives and online we have always we've discussed fear.
We've talked about fear. You know, the fear of God
is different than actually having fear, being scared of something,

(08:32):
so to speak. And I think that's a daily challenge
that we face. I think some of us are scared
of change. I know I am. I'm the one thing
that I'm afraid of losing is building a relationship with
someone and them just walking off and leaving. Some people
might call that abandonment, but that's fear. That's fearful and

(08:54):
with them myself, that's me building years of walls and
then all of a sudden just watching them walk away.
And it's hard to be in the Kingdom of God
that way, operating in fear. Whenever you're supposed to have faith, right,
because faith is the substance of things hoped for and

(09:16):
the evidence of things that is not seen, you can't
have faith and fear. In the same instance, faith is
believing in God that you never ever, ever, ever seen before,
but still trusted in believing that He's there. So fear
and faith cannot exist together. And I see that as

(09:36):
a daily challenge that we faced every day. Another daily
challenge that I think that we faced every day is
self reliance. And I think this also is based upon
the pride. I think they're two brothers. I wouldn't say
they're identical twins, but I would say that the brothers

(09:58):
self reliance as in focusing on yourself, relying completely on yourself,
not seeking no help from God, but taking upon yourself
to lay your own booststraps and just operate totally upon him. Well,
what's the difference than having Well, one person might say, well,
what's the difference of having faith and trusting and believing

(10:18):
in God? Because faith is the actual action. Well, I
would say the difference is simply just this one thing.
Do you trust yourself more or do you trust God more?
Do you trust yourself more or do you trust trust
God more? I struggle with this sometime because I built

(10:40):
myself with pride here and there, especially about some instances.
You have to be able to trust god fully in
God's kingdom to activate the things that he has given us,
the policies that he's given us, the rights its kingdom, citizens,

(11:02):
citizens that he has given us to be fully relianed.
Is you're on yourself. It's saying that God don't matter.
And in a way that's also showing fear as well.
So that I mean, that's that's definitely looking at something

(11:23):
right there. Rejecting the kingdom on say this before we
move forward. Rejecting the Kingdom of Heaven. Rejecting the Kingdom
of God can lead to a lot of struggles in
three main places. Not accepting God as the head over

(11:48):
your life, not accepting the Kingdom of Heaven. I've just
found out in these three areas, what is that life?
I think if you don't accept the Kingdom of God,

(12:11):
your relationships would struggle, your finances would struggle, and your
mental state of mind will be totally out of way.
The reason why I said those three things is because
our relationships are everything, our finances are everything, and our

(12:34):
mental state of being is everything. And that is what
the enemy comes to try to infiltrate to make you
doubt these things right, So while we are in this
stepping outside of the arena of God can be a

(12:58):
very scary and dangerous place to be in. And with
that being said, what are some areas of your life
that you feel may be chaotic because they lack the
guidance of God, they lack the authority of God, they
lack the very presence of God. What do you feel

(13:22):
like is out of whack right now with me? I know,
I'm writing a lit near list of things right now
in my life that has come to chaotic. But maybe
as we are writing this list, maybe we can find

(13:42):
Bible verses to help us with getting back into God's presence.
Writing down and taking inventory of those things in our
life that happen I think can be very beneficial to
us being in the presence of God. I don't think

(14:07):
that God leaves us. I don't want to say that there.
I don't think that God leaves us. I don't think
that God, you know, takes his love away from us.
I don't believe that. But what I will say is this,
I do believe because nothing, because you know, the Bible

(14:31):
says nothing can separate us from the love of God.
So as God is displaying his love as God is
implanting his love on us. I don't think that goes away.
But but what I will say is I do think
we lie dormant on the policies and the rules that

(14:55):
He gives, and that causes us to miss to be
out of the anointing that is a part of my life.
So what areas of your life right now are chaotic?
Is it your finances? Is it your mental instabilities? Is
it your state of mind? Your state of being? Is

(15:20):
it your relationships, your personal relationships, your relationships at your job,
your relationships and your home? What is What are the
areas of life that you feel like could you need?
You feel like need an extra attention from God. All right,

(15:42):
let's let's let's move on. So those that's what we
discussed is basically the challenges of rejecting the kingdom. Now
I want to go into a direction where we're in
embracing the Kingdom. But I got two ways that I

(16:06):
would like for us to look at and actually apply
to our everyday lives. Accountability and authority. So embracing and
embracing the Kingdom of God by using accountability and authority. Okay,
God calls us each to accountability. Remember that God calls

(16:34):
each of his believers, each person that confesses with their
mouth and believes in their heart that Jesus Christ is
the Son of God. Everyone who he calls into salvation,
he calls them to accountability. Now, accountability in this instance

(16:57):
does not mean necessary a responsibility as in a burden,
but accountability a way for you to assert your authority.
So a responsibility, what does that look like? A responsibility

(17:17):
is washing your clothes. A responsibility is washing your clothes?
And why would you? Why? Why do you need to
wash your clothes? You need to wash your clothes so
they won't be dirty, so they won't be stinking and smelling. Okay,
that's a responsibility. Being accountable for being accountable for showing

(17:45):
accountability for washing the clothes is that you will always
have a decent presentation just by your appearance alone. That's accountability.
Accountability is not a burden, but it's a way that
you can assert your authority. So what if God calls

(18:12):
us all to accountability so that we can assert our authority?
What does kingdom authority look like? If God calls all
Christians to all kingdom believers, everyone who is confessed with

(18:32):
their mouth, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God,
and believe that he's suffered and blood upon the cross.
What does kingdom authority look like? Once I accept him,
I believe in him, and I'm accountable for what I do,
and I assert my authority given to me by him

(18:56):
who sits on the throne. Who is Jesus the Christ.
What does kingdom authority look like? Well? Having faith, that's one.
We're serving a God that we never seen before. We're
serving a king that we never seen before. But we

(19:17):
know this there operating in faith says that I count
not my that I have asserted my faith into my shortcomings,
that my shortcomings don't move me or push me and
throw me in any need that any other different directions,

(19:41):
because without faith, the Bible says, it is completely impossible
to have apprehended. What's another authority? Well, one of my
favorite verses in the Bible. I almost said it earlier.
One of my favorite verses in a Bible is I

(20:02):
count not myself to have apprehended? Now, that's one of
my favorite Bible verses in the whole Bible, because he
literally says, no matter how far I have reached in
my life. No matter how many accolades have came to
my name, no matter how far I have gained, I

(20:22):
count not myself to have apprehended. No matter how far
I feel like I am in Christ, There's always room
for more. That's a kingdom authority. Some people, whenever they
reach a certain level of righteousness, as they think they
don't need no more, No you do, that's kingdom authority.

(20:50):
Big decisions whenever you mortgage in your house, purchasing a car,
buying insurance, trying to make and investments, to not just
irrationally go out there and just say I'm gonna do this.

(21:10):
Mm hmm. Kingdom authority, kingdom focused decisions says you know what,
I'm going to seek the kingdom. I'm going to go
to the throne, and I'm going to ask Jesus, is
this a good business decision. That's embracing accountability, that's embracing

(21:33):
the Kingdom of Heaven with accountability and authority, that you're
making rational decisions rather than making irrational decisions. All right,
here's the last thing that we're gonna talk about, and
we're gonna be finished. Why should you choose the kingdom?

(21:54):
So first of all, first of allmost we talked about
the challenges of rejecting the Kingdom of God, and we
talked about the you know, the everyday struggles, the everyday
challenges that we face when we don't accept the Kingdom,
which is pride, fear, self reliance, et cetera, et cetera.

(22:14):
Then we talked about embracing the Kingdom with accountability and authority,
and we talked about how accountability is not a burden,
it's not a bad thing. Accountability is different than responsibility.
The last thing we're going to talk about is why

(22:36):
should you choose the kingdom. I have three reasons why
you should choose the kingdom. Number one eternal significance, eternal significance.
Number two peace and provision, Peace and provision the first

(23:00):
one eternal significance and number two peace and provision. And lastly,
but not least, impact on others, impact on others. So
the three reasons why you should choose the cheese why
you should choose the Kingdom of Heaven is for one,
eternal significance, number two pieces and provision, and number three

(23:24):
impact on others. Number one, let's talk about this just
for a second, eternal significance, eternal significance means that whenever
you make the choice to follow the kingdom, whenever you
make the choice to enter into the Kingdom of God
and following God's way, following God's rules and exerting his

(23:47):
policies and authority that He has given you your purpose,
then becomes aligned with God. The scariest place in the
world to be is to feel like God isn't there,
even though he is, but to feel like he's not there.

(24:12):
Eternal significance deals with the inward self. It deals with
the mental illness is it deals with the mental instabilities.
Whenever you know God is there, there's a level of
confidence that is built. There's a level of selfware awareness

(24:34):
that is already assured that everything is going to be
all right, all right. So eternal significance is one of
the main reasons why you should choose the Kingdom of heaven.
Second reason peace and provision. God's Kingdom brings order and
it brings peace. So this goes back to the things

(24:57):
that we talked about before early in the power session.
Where are the chaotic points in our life and the
first order of business is to is to identify it
and accept the fact that it is a problem. God's

(25:20):
Kingdom brings order. God thrives on organization. When we follow God,
we follow that map, that map of order, that map
of structure, that map of significance. Right, so we become

(25:43):
aligned with him through purpose, through our internal significance. But
in number two, with peace and provision, God brings order
in that and and and allows peace. I don't pray
for peace. Two things in this world that I don't

(26:04):
pray for, and that's peace and wisdom because you got
to go through something for both of them in order
for you to be granted. And I just don't pay
for it. All right, So number three why you should
first reason why you should choose the kingdom is for
eternal significant. Second reason it's for peace and provision. And

(26:24):
the third reason is impact on others. It makes no
sense to gain the whole world without passing down your legacy.
This is one of the reasons why I join Freemasonry,
specifically Prince Hall Masonry. That's one reason why I'm Prince
Hall affiliated, because I feel like it's the most authentic,

(26:47):
is the most authentic version of freemasonry. Mom for fathers
weren't masonically affiliated, but my grandma was a Eastern Star,
and I love it. I have everything there is and

(27:09):
masonry to get except for the honorary positions on both sides,
which is the thirty third and the Kycch. But hopefully
one day I'll be able to cross that bridge to
get there, because I want something for my children to
look forward to. Any legacy I'm building that, some of

(27:32):
us have built legacy through education. Some of you have
as much education as you do tattoos, and I'm loving it.
I'm loving it. Somebody told me the other day that
their education is almost like tattoos. Once they get one,
they just can't stop. They have to continue to keep
getting more. So that's a good thing. That's a good thing.

(27:53):
That's leaving legacy, that's leaving an impacting kingdom. Minded helps
you transform the lives of those that are around you,
the people that are around you, the family members that
are around you, the friends that are around you, the

(28:15):
co workers that are around you. I want to encourage you.
I want to encourage encourage everyone that may be listening
and watch them choose the Kingdom. Choose the Kingdom. Choose
the Kingdom for eternal significance, peace and provision, and to

(28:44):
have impact on others. So as we close this power
session of the Kingly Discussions podcast today where we talked
about why why the Kingdom and not the Kingdom, I
want you to understand the reason why I wanted to

(29:08):
do this power session. The name of our name of
this podcast is the Kingdom Discussions Podcast, and the reason
is because that I want to have the discussions based
upon the royalty that God has bestowed upon us. Okay, well,

(29:28):
why is that? Luke seventeen and twenty. You thought I
was gonna go this whole power session without giving you
a scripture reference. Oh no, oh, no, oh no, Luke,
Chapter seventeen, verses twenty one through twenty, verses twenty through

(29:49):
twenty one, and it says the kingdom is not something
that can be observed because the Kingdom of God is
already here in your midst. In an earlier podcast episode,
I said that there were two gospels. There was the
Gospel of Jesus, and that it was a gospel that

(30:12):
Jesus preached. The gospel that Jesus preached is the gospel
that we should be preaching. Don't stop preaching the Gospel
of Jesus. But once we once we become Kingdom citizens.
Once we become believers of Christ, once we've become workers

(30:34):
and believers in the Kingdom of God, we should be
preaching the gospel that Jesus preached. Behold, the Kingdom of
God is at hand. That is the gospel that Jesus preached.
That is the gospel that Jesus preached. This is the end.

(30:57):
This is the end of our power session on today,
and I really really hope that you liked it. It's
not as lengthy as our Sunday school lives and online,
but it is very important for us in this time
because we need to be talking more about the Kingdom.
So this is Jared Lewis aka King J Loot aka

(31:20):
King J Lewis, the podcast hosts of the Kingdom Discussions podcasts,
and I thank you so much for being here for
our power session. Why the Kingdom versus why not the king?
I'll catch all in the next one pays
