(01:47):
what a blessing it is to be here with you guys,
to study, to show ourselves approved, to come together as
Kingdom citizens, to empower one another. Right, because just because
I'm here doesn't mean that I'm not getting my empowerment too.
To encourage one another, right, because sometimes we all need

(02:10):
encouragement to equip with another. Take there might be something
that you see that I need that I need to
point out more, might be something that I see that
you need to point out more. So empowered, encouraging an
account and equip empower, encourage and equipment. And it is
such a blessing to be here. I'm so glad that

(02:31):
you're here with me. It is such a blessing. We
will be coming for our Sunday School Lives and Online.

(02:54):

I do want to let you know, I want to
thank the Afride Mythics, Episcopal sign Church, the Aid Design
Church for their Sunday School Church literature because for the
last six months, ever since we started this, we've been
using that literature. So this time we'll be using RH Boyd,

(03:17):
which is most infamously used with the Missionary Baptist Denominational,
so we'll be using the R. H. Boyd Sunday School
Church literature and purchases for that you can make it
on Amazon. It's right there. All you gotta do is
just for the Amazon hit the Amazon Prime, go right
there to URH boy look up the one for January

(03:39):
to March. Took that one up because it's for the
first quarter for three months, So go there, do the
download the Kindle app. This is what I prefer. Download
the Kindle app. Do it on Prime is six dollars
of forty six cis I do believe, so it's less
than seven dollars. So go there. You'll be able to
have it anywhere. You know where your Amazon Prime is,

(04:01):
anywhere where you could download the Kindle app. All you
got to do is just do it. And if you
don't believe me, I'll show it to you right here.
Look at that. This is the whole lesson for the day,
like this right here. It is literally right here, So
I mean you can't be that. And you can put
it on your iPad, you can put it on your phone,
you can put it on your Enjoy device, you can
put it anywhere. But anyways, lotty doting to everybody, Welcome

(04:26):
to your twenty twenty five to a new episode of
the Key Discussus podcast Sunday School Live and all time.
If you would, I'll ask it you a governor yourself
accordingly as you go to God in prayer, as we
go ahead and get today started. And if you are
busy at the current time, just you know, don't if

(04:47):
you listen to this or be on the podcast or
you're listening to this on the road. Just go to
yourself a quarterly. Do all take your eyes off that road.
Don't let Jesus take the wheel just here. We not
trying to try him on that issue, you know what
I'm saying. We're not trying to tie him on that.
All right. God has done anything, but one thing he
did give us was common sense, and we want to

(05:07):
make sure that we use that thing, you know what
I'm saying. All right, all right, let's come with ourselves
to the Lord real past their heavenly Father. We thank
you and we praise you because you are God. Besides you,
there is no other God. We thank you for taking
us from the year of twenty twenty four and all
those things that we did in that year, from every setback,

(05:28):
from every drawback, from every trial and every tribulation. God,
we say thank you that we are alive and we
are well to see this brand new year of twenty
and twenty five. But most of all, Lord, we want
to thank you and praise you for this opportunity that
we get to come to you in the world of technology,
by using technology, by exercising the very right that you

(05:52):
gave us to call those things as be not as
though they were. God, we did not expect last year
to end up the way it did, but we did
expect for you to continue to keep us safe. We
did expect for you to keep us guarded You, we
did expect us to keep we did expect you to
keep us safe from all hurt, harm and danger, and God,

(06:13):
we just want to say thank you just for that, God,
we also want to say thank you for this opportunity
that we get to come here and we get to
study the shows ourselves approves, to come with other like
minded people, to come together in the spirit of holiness
to learn more of You so we can equip ourselves
with whatever we need with the right equipment to go

(06:36):
out on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And Lord,
we asked that you will now release all distracting thoughts,
all distractions that may come and to hinder us from
learning and from partaking what you have to offer us
on today. These things I pray your servant prayers in Jesus.
Nay a man, a man and a man. All right

(07:01):
here we are. Good morning, good morning, good morning, and
good morning. Yeah, alright, all right, alright, good morning to everybody,
lotty got it all right. So we're going to get
things started here for our Sunday School live and online today.

(07:27):
Like I said, we are coming from the r H.
Boyd Sunday School Church Literature, Adult Christian Life. Yeah, we
are coming from that today. And as you all know,
we weren't able to do last Sunday, so today we'll
be during January the twelve, twenty twenty five. This is

(07:52):
less than number two and the title for today nice
to see YouTube, maam. And the subject for the well
the Bible study. Bible Study for a week of January twelve,
twenty twenty five, lessen number two and the subject is

(08:12):
the Lord is robed in Majesty. That's the subject for today,
The Lord is rolled in Majesty. The background passages is
Psalms forty seven and ninety three, and the printed passage
this is the passage that we'll be talking about for today.
The printed passage is Psalms ninety three. So we're gonna

(08:38):
be focusing ourselves and our songs ninety three on today,
and the key verse is Psalms ninety three and one.
The new revised standard version it is Songs ninety three
and one. The new revised standent version of the key
verse says hey, So you notice the difference, right, So

(09:02):
in the previous Sunday School Church literature it had the
key verse at the end. So and that was the
the A and designed Churches Church school in literature. For
our h Boyd, their key verse is at the beginning.
So the key verse is, like I said, songs ninety three.

(09:25):
In the first verse it says, the Lord is King,
he rolled, he is rolled in majesty. The Lord is rolled,
he is girded with strength. Again the key verses songs
ninety three and one, the Lord is King, he is
rolled in majesty, The Lord is roll. The Lord is rolled,

(09:50):
he is girded with strength, Songs ninety three and one.
So right here where we are in the Sunday School
lesson today, I do want to give you a quick
overview of how the Sunday School lesson is going to
be given from this point out, because it's very important

(10:11):
for you to know that this thing is broken up
in sections. Okay, so we got the preliminaries. We have that,
that's that's there. We got the preliminaries, but we also
have something that's very special and it's broken up in sections,
so it's it's very organized. Not to say that a
Designs wasn't organized, but this one is very very organized,

(10:32):
and it has a lot it highlights a lot of
quick points. So if you're not careful, if we go
too fast, we're gonna miss something, right. So that that's
that's why I wanted to point that out. So the
Sunday School lessons will be broken down. The first one
is intro. That's what we're getting ready to do. And
the intro has a think about it, so it's a
discussion question. Then you know it gives out it highlights,

(10:59):
you know, a verse for the intro. Then that's the intro.
Then it goes to know it, So that's the second one.
The first one is the intro. Then it gives you
a verse, gives then it gives you a think about it.
It's a discussion question. Then it goes into a scripture.
It gives you a scripture. The next one is know it,
so it that know it is whenever you get into

(11:19):
the meat and potatoes of the lesson, all right, so
that you know it gives you all that breakdown there
and then once it is finished, there's there's there's four
four other things that that uh that is completed after that.
So you got the intro think about it, Well, that

(11:41):
don't count. We just do intro. Know it, remember it,
share it, live it, and hear it. That's a lot
of it. That's a lot of it. I know, I
know there's a lot of it. So we want to

(12:06):
make sure that you know that this study school lesson
is very you know, particular that it's broke down into
sections and it's if we got to take our time.
So I got to make sure I start starting on time,
to make sure I started that eight o'clock hour, to
make sure y'all get y'all church and stuff. You know

(12:28):
what I'm saying. All right, So let's go ahead and
get started with our introduction on today. Like I said,
the key verse is songs ninety three and one. Intro says,
have you ever looked closely at something in God's creation
and found yourself in awe at how intricately and purposefully

(12:53):
it designed it was? Palm trees draw such an all.
Palm trees are beautiful specimens native to tropical areas. Their
root system extends and grows deep into the ground, giving
them the fortitude to withstand flooding and strong winds. Additionally,

(13:16):
their trunks are not made of wood like other trees,
rather are made of soft fibers that allow the tree
to bend. Some species of palm trees can withstand wind
gusts over one hundred miles per hour and remain standing,
while other trees break or are uprooted. We may say

(13:41):
God created palm trees with storms in mind. If God
created palm trees to withstand its environment, then we, as
God's children, can be confident in God's ability to navigate
us through the storms of our lives. Psalms ninety three

(14:01):
offers us a reassurance that our God actively reigns over
all aspects of creation, including our own personal struggles. It
encourages us to trust in God's supreme power and unchanging nature,
knowing that God is more than capable of guiding us

(14:24):
through any challenges we may we might face. In times
of difficulty, we can draw strength from the image of
God as the mighty King, rolled in strength, whose voice
thunders over the waters. Therefore, our confidence is not based

(14:44):
on our own abilities or the absence of troubles, but
on the unshakable sovereignty of the God who rules over all.
I never knew that. Did y'all know that about pine trees?
I didn't know that palm trees are basically made to

(15:06):
withstand one hundred mile and hour winds. I didn't know that. So,
in essence, I think it's very important for us to
note that if God can create a thing, okay, to
withstand something physical, then sure enough, when God created me,
when God created you and you and you and you

(15:28):
that are listening or watching this podcast, most certainly, if
he created a palm tree to withstand one hundred mile
an hour winds in the physical, then he created you.
He created you and me to withstand all the fiery
doults of the enemy. Okay, he created us, equipping us

(15:49):
to be equipped with what we appropriately needed to will
stand all trial, all tribulation, all sickness, all distress. Most certainly,
God wouldn't just throw us out there in the middle
of a whim and expect us to go out there
and be powerless. Of course, God would never do that.

(16:13):
Now some make question the matter and say, God, why
is this happening? Well, the inevitable will happens. That's my
thought process. I don't know how other people process, but
this is how I. This is how I process. The
inevitable is going to happen regardless. We were born in sin,
shaped into iniquity. That's how I look at that. So

(16:35):
as we are born into sin, we are shaped into iniquity.
We then use our God given gift, what he gave us,
which is free choice, where you can rather choose to
follow God, or you can either choose to do whatever
you follow God, or you can choose whatever to do
what you want to do. It's entirely up to you.

(16:56):
How I look at it is you can either trust
in God or you could trust in yourself, and you
can trust in man. It's entirely up to you. So
I choose, we you should choose. We should all choose
to what follow God. It's simple. And just because something
is simple, I want to say this before we go
out to our think about it. Just because something is

(17:19):
simple doesn't make it easy. If saving money was simple, hey, hey,
I would talk about it. Right. If saving money was simple,
all of us would be rich. We would never have
anybody issues. Right, If saving money was simple, we wouldn't

(17:41):
never have no problem, We wouldn't have no issue. Am
I right about it? So we have to be sure
that we're practicing saving money simply because it's not easy.
If it were easy, we'll never have no money issues.
So that's a good way to look at our walk

(18:04):
with God. Nobody said the road was gonna be easy.
If they told him to road is gonna be easy,
they lie a lie, They lie, They told you a lie.
This road is not easy, but it's rewarding. This road
is simple. God gives us basically instructures before leaving here.

(18:29):
And I do think that God didn't leave us here.
God didn't put us here, didn't place us here without
some type of authority. Right. That's why I'm so heavy
on the kingdom. People always ask me that you always

(18:50):
talking about the kingdom. You always talking about the Kingdom?
Why you always highlighting the kingdom? And I said, why not? Well,
we are not here in this world to be ruled.
I think that's the one of the biggest icks that
I have about anything, especially whenever it comes to my culture,

(19:13):
my race, by ethnicity. It's hard. It's hard to process
that one human being controlled another human being, that that
just messed with me. It did something to my spirit
because in the Bible in the beginning, it says that
we ought to have dominion over everything, every living creature,

(19:37):
but not each other, you know, And it's it's that
that's kind of a hard thing for me to process.
It takes me a minute to get that because that
that wasn't supposed to happen. And I'm sure that God,
being just in all his ways and all his doings,
that those people who participated in that and that act

(20:00):
of slavery, I don't even want to put my hand
on it. I don't even want to think about it.
Because to rule over one person, to constrict their freedom,
that that's something else. God is the king, he's the sovereign,
He's the ruler. If you ever want to say that

(20:20):
there's a dictator. And I don't even even see it
as a dictator. This is not a democracy when it
comes to the Lord. If he says for something for
us to do, then we need to find ourselves doing it.
All right, let's let's move on, all right, think about it.
Here we go. I'm gonna drop this into comments for
you so you can so you so you can take

(20:43):
this for yourself. How have you personally helped those in need?
List how you sacrifice time and resources to answer Jesus's call?
All right, so it says, okay, there we go. It says,

(21:04):
how have you personally helped those those in need? And
list how you sacrifice. Now you could take this and
you can write this down or I it, you know,

(21:27):
and do it in your own time if you want
and resources to answer Jesus's call. That's the wrong one.
Jesus is call. There you go, alright, there, there you go,

(21:50):
right there. So it says the think about it is
how have you personally helped those in need? And list
how you sacrifice time and resources to answer Jesus's call.
I do think this is very important. It's very important
for one reason. I did have this in my notes

(22:13):
before we get to our scripture. I think it's okay,
so with this you get funny, right, people get funny.
Oh you shouldn't be telling people how you, uh, how
you did things for the poor. You know that kind
of thing. And I do agree with that. But I

(22:35):
will say that you need to keep receipts. Okay, okay,
keep receipts. Hear me out, hear me out. Keep keep
receipts for yourself. Okay, keep receipts for yourself. I'm not
saying so you can get back to someone to say,
oh I owe Oh I did this for you, now

(22:56):
you owe me. Mm hmmm. Keep receipts for yourself. Another
part of kingdom growth and kingdom building is whenever you
can say for yourself, for yourself and your inward man,
I did that. Sometimes in this world you would get

(23:19):
to a point and I can testify to this myself.
Sometimes you can get in the point in the world
where you feel real low. And but I know what
I'm talking about, where you feel real low and it
feels like if you do this, whatever, if you feel
like you do that, whatever you feel like you do whatever,
it's just it don't amount to nothing. You ever heard

(23:45):
of the term count your blessings, name them one by one.
This is the same concept. So keep receipts. Keep receipts
because your person, you you might need that. And I'm
not saying I'm not look, I'm not trying to be controversial,

(24:06):
but I'm saying, all of us are human and all
of us need to be encouraged when someone else can't
encourage you. So keep receipts. Keep receipts. Keep get a notebook,
write it down, it's that simple. Or use your phone,
write it down. Keep receipts for yourself. Not to get

(24:28):
back at someone, but keep receipts for yourself because you
will never know when you would have to say, you
know what, I need some self building, I need some
self care. So when you're sitting down and you're thinking
about this, and you're thinking about that, you have something
on paper that says, you know what, I'm not that

(24:53):
bad guy. I'm not that bad. I'm not that bad,
and you'll be some how far that goes? Seriously, David
said that he had to encourage hisself. We're talking about
a king here, right, We're talking about a king that

(25:16):
has a whole kingdom of people that would jump to
him in a whim if he ever had anything that
was going on. But the Bible says that he had
to encourage his self. All right. This is one of
those methods that can help you encourage yourself. All right.

(25:37):
So again to think about it is how have you
personally helped those in need less? How you sacrifice time
and resources to answer Jesus's call? All right, let's move forward.
Number one, God is sovereign God is sovereign, all right.

(26:00):
At Psalms ninety three one and two, and let's do
the new revised standard version, it says, the Lord is King,
he is robed in majesty. The Lord is rolled, he
is girded with strength. He has established the world. It
shall never be moved. Your throne is established from old,

(26:25):
you are from everlasting. All right. That there is the intro.
And now let us let us go ahead forward to
move to our to our know it. Songs ninety three
is classified as a royal song, a collection of psalms

(26:47):
primarily focused on the theme of God's kingship and the
reign of the dividic King. Royal songs highlight God's sovereignty
and authority over Israel and all world nations. These songs
were written for events such as the coronation of a king,
victory and battle, and requests for divine protection. The royal

(27:12):
psalms emphasize the covenant relationship between God and his people,
portraying the king as a mediator of God's rule and
a servant who leads with justice and righteousness. Psalms ninety
three opens with a bold proclamation, the Lord is King,

(27:35):
he is rolled in majesty, the Lord is rolled, he
is girded with strength. This is verse one the new
revised standard version. This initial declaration sets the tone for
psalms for the song, establishing the central theme of divine kingship.
The repetition of the phrase rolled in majesty emphasizes the grandeur,

(28:00):
like that word grandeur, I'm sorry, the grandeur and glory
of God, suggesting that his reign is not only authoritative,
but also magnifico. The imagery of being girded and armed

(28:20):
and straight reinforces the idea that God is a powerful ruler,
capable of defending all creation and upholding justice. In ancient
Near Eastern culture, the monarchy was very important. Rulers were
often seen as the embodiment of power and authority. This

(28:43):
portrayal of God as a majestic king would resonate deeply
with the Israelites, reaffirming their belief in God's sovereignty over
all nations and forces. Kingship in this context was often
viewed as a divine institution, where rulers were seen as

(29:03):
representatives of the gods on earth. Did The king was
expected to uphold j justice, protect the weak, and ensure
the prosperity of the land. The king was more than
a political figure. For many cultures located near the Israelites,
like Mesopotamia and Egypt, the king's relationship with his respective

(29:30):
deity impacted the entire nation. Thus, when God is described
as king, all of the cultural implications are bestowed. As well.
As believers we are, we believe God is King and
that we are His citizens, that we are his that

(29:53):
we are citizens of His kingdom. Have y'all heard that before, y'all?
I'm sure y'all heard that before? Right? Always remember that
you are a what kingdom citizen? All right? Never forget that.
I Always remember that you are a kingdom citizen and

(30:15):
be the best kingdom citizen that you can be, and
exercise your right as a what kingdom citizen. I'm sure
y'all heard that before. Let me repeat that again. As believers,
we believe God is King and that we are citizens
of His kingdom. Because the US political system is a democrat.

(30:37):
As a democracy and not a monarchy, we help to
shape our politics with voting and advocacy. Kingdoms are not democracies.
As citizens of God's Kingdom, we are to fully trust, obey,
and follow what our King instructs. This new identity caused
Christians to live in a manner that reflects the values

(31:00):
of kingdom, such as love, mercy, and justice. As the
Psalm progresses, it emphasizes God's establishment of the world as
that which will never be moved. This assertion speaks not
only to the physical stability of creation, but also to
the spiritual moral order that God opposes. The idea the

(31:23):
world cannot be moved highlights the permanence of God's reign
and the stability that comes from God's authority, while verse
two highlights the fact that God's rule is neither new,
nor is neither new nor temporal. Any time, when the
Israelites face external threats and internal strife, this message would

(31:45):
serve as a reassurance that, despite appearing vulnerable, they were
grounded in a reality governed by a powerful and sovereign God.
A man, come and joy a cup of coffee with me.

(32:11):
All right, So we talked about a few things here,
but I want to highlight one major thing, all right,
and that one major thing is this here. As citizens
of God's kingdom, we are to fully trust, obey and

(32:38):
follow what our King instructs. Trust, obey, and follow what
our King instructs. As God. As citizens of God's kingdom,
we are to fully trust, obey, and follow follow with
our King instructs. We have power in the name of

(33:05):
Jesus and through the name of Jesus that was obtained
through God's power. I want us to start having a
thought process of channeling authority in some way, shape or form.

(33:30):
We've all had to deal with a chain of command,
whether it might a chain of command in your school,
a chain of command at your church, a chain of
command at your job, a chain of command in the military,
chain of command in the medical field with the doctors
and nurses, a chain of command in the political systems

(33:54):
with judges and courtrooms, etiquette and procedures. All of us
have had to deal with chain of command in God's
chain of command. How we are able to bind things
up in the name of Jesus is that we have
to acknowledge God as King. Notice how all of that

(34:16):
flowed together. You have Us, then you have Jesus, then
you have God. All of those flow together, and all
of it flows together through the Holy Spirit. You got
us God, God's Kingdom, which is Jesus. All of that

(34:38):
good stuff and you got God. All of that flows together.
All of it flows together by using, you know, by
not using, is flowing by the Holy Spirit. And that
is Bible because it says that none can come to
the Kingdom of God, none can come except for the

(35:00):
spirit of the Lord, which draws them. So that's Bible.
I want us to start getting the idea that when
things happen, when bills need to be paid, when people
start acting funny, whenever money start coming short at the job,

(35:22):
whenever situations get tough, I want us to start getting
to a point to where we are aligning ourselves within
the chain of command. Okay, now this does not include
my sin. Okay, you're seeing is a whole totally different
diaspa of what I'm talking about. You're seeing my sining.

(35:43):
That's a whole totally different diaspa. I don't need you
going on because you're gonna miss the point. Don't go
on a litnany list of the things that you have
not done, but check this out. Go on a litany
list of things that you can do. Mm hmm, it's
a difference. Go on a litany list of scriptures, prayers,

(36:12):
maybe go on a fast find a way to channel
yourself within the chain of command to allow God to
equip with you with what you need to bind up
the enemy in the name of Jesus, and take care
of whatever that you need to take care of it.

(36:34):
Try something new this year. I'm gonna try. I can't
tell you to do something that I wouldn't do, right,
So as you try it, I'm gonna try and do
so find yourselves within the chain of command. For example,

(36:56):
there's a bill due that you can't pay. All right,
so what do I need to do? First thing we
need to do. Stop what we're doing, Cease all action,
Go to God in prayer. First thing, God, what needs

(37:18):
to happen here? God equip me with what I need with.
Then once we've prayed to God, everything's off. Now everything's off.
Find scriptures that align with being with getting the bill paid.

(37:44):
After that, then it's time to find ourselves in the
presence of God. How we get in the presence of God? Well,
for some it might be prayer again, for some, it
might be fasting for someone. For some it might be

(38:05):
just meditation. For some it might be just sitting down
and waiting for the presence of God to fall upon him.
So once that has said happened. Then you find the
resources to help you pay the bill and watch God

(38:25):
work it out, because we don't know how he's gonna
work it out, but to better equip us with what
we need to continue to keep going, to continue to
keep pressing, to continue, so we won't go into lack.
We gotta follow the chain of command. Gotta follow a

(38:48):
chain of command. This is what you call exercising your
right as a kingdom citizen to call those things as be,
not as though they already were. If God has promised
you something, then you stand on business about what it

(39:10):
is that He has purposed within your life. If he
said that you were going to be without lack, okay,
stand on business fine scriptures that align with what he
told you, and put God to work. Let him work

(39:32):
that miracle in your life. Sometimes we just got to
let stuff go, let it go completely, and let God
handle it. All right, We got about twenty minutes left,
so let's go on ahead. I told you y'all sutten
school listens. It gets pretty good, all right. Number two,
So the first thing we talk about is God is sovereign,

(39:55):
And yeah, God is sovereign. That was the first thing
how we're getting ready to talk about the power of
God's rule. And so the first one, God is sovereign
Psalms ninety three one two. Now we're going to talk
about the power of God's rules Psalm ninety three, three
and four. And this is the new revised standard version.

(40:15):
The floods have lifted up, Oh Lord, the floods have
lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their roary
are more majestic than the thunders of mighty waters, more
majestic than the waves of the sea. Majestic on high
is the Lord all right. The Psalmist then addresses the

(40:37):
tumultuous nature of the sea, an ancient symbol of chaos
and the order. The Psalmist rights, the floods have lifted up,
Oh Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice. The
floods lift up their waves the verse three, and in
this imagery, the seas represent the chaos and the uncertainty

(40:58):
that is common to our experiences. The repetition of the
floods in the passage underscores the overwhelming nature of this chaos,
suggesting that it is a force to be reckoned with. However,
the Psalmist quickly counters this chaos by affirming how mighty
and the strong God actually is. In verse number four,

(41:22):
the floods chaos is no match for God's power. We
see this exemplified and Mark four when Jesus calms the
storm on the Sea of Galilee. Storms were common but
dangerous on the Sea of Galilee. Jesus' disciples, especially those
who were fishermen by trade, were familiar with these storms,

(41:43):
yet that did not make the storms less harmful. What
was uncommon is that Jesus' words brought peace to a
very familiar storm. The wind and the waves obeyed Jesus' command.
When the disciples, terrified by the raging winds and ways
with is Jesus' ability to bring peace, They are confronted

(42:06):
with the reality of Jesus' identity as the son of God.
But ultimately, the disciples are confronted with the affirmation of
God's majesty on the earth. This is a majesty whose
excellence supersedes the internal and external and noise, natural and

(42:27):
supernatural forces, and high and lofty powers. For the Israelites,
who often face the threat of foreign invaders and natural
disasters like famine, this declaration will provide comfort and hope,
reinforcing their faith in God's ultimate control over all circumstances.

(42:49):
We too face a host of challenges, mass shootings, the
rising of cost of living in the US, illness, and
a host of other challenges. When often challenges often caused
us to feel defeated. However, we trust in God's ability
to calm the ways of chaos. Jesus holds authority over

(43:13):
all creation and invites us to place our trust in
the power of his rule. No matter how chaotic our circumstances.
The disciples still experienced storms of life and still felt
fear and panic. Jesus's presence did not create immunity from

(43:36):
these types of experiences, and at the same time, the
experiences of storms did not indicate the absence of Jesus.
Songs ninety three not only heightens God's strength but also
God's character. God's strength is a profound aspect of God's character.

(44:00):
It is intricately tied to God's holiness, which sets apart
God from all creation. God's might is not an arbitrary
or self serving. Rather, it is always directed toward good
and the flourishing of creation. Scripture shows us that God
uses his power to protect, deliver, and to redeem. All right,

(44:26):
So here in Psalms are ninety three, three and four
we get and we get a explanation of God's strength.
All right, we get this. This is basically the illustration
of God's strength. And the seas here, just like it said,

(44:48):
the seas represent chaos and uncertainty. We don't know what's
gonna happen tomorrow. We don't know what the future holds.
But what we do know is that God got us
and and that's that's where our trust, that's where our
trust in him should fully activate. Even though that we

(45:10):
don't know. He knows, so our trust in him, our
faith in Him, should should increase as the days go by.
In the event where it doesn't, that's not a bad thing,
because even Jesus said himself later on here in these
New Testaments New Testament scripture that a seed of a

(45:31):
mustard seed, just a little bit of faith. And y'all
know how big a mustard seed is. A mustard See,
faith can speak to a mountainous in our life. So imagine,
imagine h a coop full of faith, a gallon full
of faith. Imagine what that can do in our lives. So, uh,

(45:52):
I think here it's very important to it's very important
to highlight exactly how our majestic God is, how his
majesty is, how Jesus was even able to speak to
a storm and how it calmed itself right, how the

(46:15):
waves die down. Because there's a lot of things that
come with a storm. It could be waves, it could
be wind, it could be ice, it could be snow,
it could be rain, it could be thunder, it could
be lightning. But as Jesus speaks to it, all that
stuff just mellows itself right on now. So that should

(46:37):
be the same way that we should handle our lives
and our situations. Let God handle it and watch the
things just mellow out, somothe out, how it just calms
itself right on down. But we gotta follow God's word.
We all follow what he says. Remember what it said

(46:59):
in the pre section. The previous section said that we
are to trust and obey. So in God's kingdoms, this
is not a it's not a democracy. So it is
in fact that monarchy when when the king says do it,

(47:22):
you do it, all right. So that's what that that's
what that highlights there, all right, so let's move a
little further. We got roughly, I want to say, about
thirteen minutes left, so I want to make sure we
stay on here at least for about an hour. Does
anybody have any questions or anything like that. You're all
dropping into comments if you if you want to. If

(47:43):
anybody have any questions or comments they want to add
to the lesson, that's perfectly fine too. Just add that
to the comments and there will be good to go.
So this is the So the first thing that we
talked about was God is sovereign? How God is sovereign?
That was Songs ninety three, one and two. Then the

(48:03):
last thing we just talked about whereas the power of
God's rules Psalms ninety three, three and four. Now we're
gonna talk about the last thing of the lesson, number three,
God's command, God's commands Endure, God's commands Endure, Psalms ninety
three and five. All right, and it says, like I said,

(48:27):
we're gonna do the new advised and diversion. Your decrees
are very sure. Holiness befits your house, O Lord. Forevermore,
your decrees are very sure. Holiness befits your house, O Lord, Forevermore,
Psalms ninety three and five. God's Commands Endure. The author
of this song shifts to discuss God's holiness. Your decrees

(48:51):
are very sure your holiness befits your house, O Lord, forevermore.
This statement reflects as a crucial aspect of God's character
his holiness. God's holiness ensures that his reign is characterized

(49:15):
by righteousness and justice, as God is not only powerful
but also morally perfect. The mention of God's statutes emphasizes
the moral and ethical asset of God's character. While God
is in control, God is also just. While God is

(49:37):
in control, God is also just. God decides not to
use his power to abuse. The theme of divine holiness
connects with the broader narrative of Israel's identity as God's
chosen people the Psalmists. The Psalmists call to recognize God's

(49:57):
holiness serves as a reminder that the the year Israel,
lifes are to live in a manner that reflects their
relationship with their King. God is different, and God expects
believers to be different. So this particular section number three,
God's Commands endurans All's ninety three and five. This particular

(50:21):
section is different from the rest. It's not as lengthy,
it's and it's it is very direct, and I do
believe that there is a reason why it is very direct.
I think it's I think it's very direct for a reason.
And I think it's direct because I do believe that

(50:45):
God is a god of second chances. He forgives, He
forgives everyone, and I do believe that wholeheartedly. But what
I also do believe is that it wants to point out.
This section wants to point out how exactly different that
God's rule and a God's authority is different than anybody

(51:08):
else's rule and authority. We pay our homage to God
in prayer, by celebrating holidays, by fasting, by acknowledging Him
as King and ruler over everything. This is how we
do those things. But I do believe that there's one

(51:29):
particular word in here that I have in my notes
that I want us to start highlighting for the year
of twenty twenty five, and that is our relationship with
our King, not just in our relationship with God. And
I'm not trying to depict the two, but there's a
reason why I'm saying the relationship with our king. Knowing

(51:51):
God as our knowing God as God is a wonderful thing.
As your head of house, as your I wouldn't I'm
not gonna say head of household, but as our religious head.
You know, knowing God is that is, it is perfect,

(52:13):
and I'm not saying that anything is wrong with that
per se. But what I will say is this, I
do think that it is important for us to strengthen
our relationship with knowing God as King. So any event,
you know, understanding what kingdom looks like, understanding what the

(52:36):
chain of command looks like, understanding what the monarchy look like,
understand God's majesty, understanding why God is the king and
why Jesus sits on his throne. I think those are
very very good aspects to help us grow in our
relationship to knowing God is King, because even though we're king,

(52:56):
we're not slaves. And and if we are slaves, we
show a lot some strong slaves. But I know y'all
probably say, Jed, y'all, Jared, you come up with the
craziest thing. Yeah I know, I look, I know, I know,
I know, And you come up with the crazy yeah

(53:19):
I know, I know, I know, I know and like
I said, if we are slaves, then we are some
really strong slaves because God gives us authority to bind
up the enemy in the name of Jesus, and and
and and and we're able to do that because Jesus
is on the throne. All right, But we have to

(53:42):
adhere to the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit was
sent here to draw us back to the kingdom, because
we're born into sin and shape into iniquity. That's a
that's a very like I said, this was very straightforward.

(54:03):
It was very direct, and I think it was like
that for a reason. God is holy, his reign is holy.
It's perfect. That's what the British monarch wish they were.

(54:25):
They wish they were like this. So you know, when
things happen with the British monarch, the world stops and
acknowledges the grandeur of the British monarchy. Right, Well, that's
something to imagine how God's kingdom is, how perfect God's

(54:48):
Kingdom is. That's that's some amazing stuff. That's some good
stuff right there. So this is we're coming to the end.
This is a matter of fact. This is the end
of our Sunday School lesson to today I really really
enjoyed this lesson, you know, for today January twelfth, twenty

(55:11):
twenty five, with our Sunday school subject being the Lord
is rolled in Majesty. I really really enjoyed this lesson.
That was awesome. So now we're gonna go. So, you know,
we did our intro with it. I know it. Now
we're getting ready to do remember it, share it, live it,

(55:33):
and hear it all right, remember it Psalms ninety three.
Wild Brief is rich in theological significance and practical implications
for believers. It serves as a powerful reminder of God's sovereignty,
particularly in times of incertainty and chaos in our lives
and in the lives of those around us. The psalmist

(55:54):
declarations encourage believers to trust in God's power and authority,
enforcing the belief that God is actively involved in the
world affairs. This theme of divine sovereignty is particularly relevant
to today as we face various storms, whether personal struggles,
society soci societal conflicts, or national crisis, we can remain

(56:19):
confident in God's strengths. Psalngs ninety three offers a crownded
perspective that emphasizes God's ultimate control over all circumstances. That
was remember it, here's our share it. Sing the hymn,
It is well with my soul. Note that sea belows

(56:42):
mean great ways. It is well. I'm not gonna sing it.
It is well that song right there. Sing to him,
it is well with my soul. Note that sea belows
mean great ways. Reflect on how this him and our

(57:06):
lesson have the shared have the shared meaning. All right,
here's our shared lived here you know, and it says,
sing to him, it as well with my soul. Note
that sea bellows me in great ways. To reflect on
how this him and our lesson have shared the same meaning.

(57:27):
So the next one is good morning, good morning, good morning.
So the next one is Often we do not consider
how this is the livid. Often we do not consider
how God has quieted our storms and a quiet time
of reflection. List past storms, complex eventsal situations in your life.

(57:49):
Answer the following question, what were your emotions? How did
the storms impact your trust in God? What did you
learn about God after your storm? All right, that's to
live it. Often we do not consider how God has
quieted our storms in a quiet time of reflection. List
of past storms, complex events and situations in your life,

(58:12):
and answer the following question, what were your emotions? How
did the storms impact your trust in God? What did
you learn about God after your storm? Hear it. Occasionally
we learn about the storms people are facing. Maybe they
will share their stormy moments in church, social media, or

(58:34):
private conversations with you. If given the opportunities, share about
your storms as well. Hearing how God has helped others
through their storm can be encouraging, can be very encouraging.
All right, So here's another very interactive thing. A part

(58:54):
of our Sunday School, our lesson today, our EH boy
does want you to take time and hashtag them. So
if you know, if this Sunday School has impacted your
life on today, and I will be doing this later

(59:36):
