All right, Okay, so we're gonna go ahead and get
started with our Sunday School listen on today, and good
morning to all of those who I have not spoken
to just yet, and welcome to the Kingly Discussions podcast
to our Sunday School live and online today. Today's subject
(04:56):
for our lesson is doesn't Anything Last Anymore? That is
the name of our Sunday School lesson. It is a
really good Sunday School lesson. One of the advantages of
having the Sunday School Book is that you can study ahead,
and you can follow along, and you can do all
(05:17):
of these wonderful things. So, as I am a member
of the Amy Design Church, the African Methodist Episcopal Design Church,
I do not hold back literature. I thank the am
Design Church for this Sunday School Church literature. But now
we're are in r H. Boyd for this quarter, and
(05:38):
so far it has been a blessing. I think the
am Design Church, but I also think r H. Boyd
Publishing Company for their Sunday School literature as well. And
for those who don't know what the what the book
looks like, I'm going to show that to you on
your screen. But it is adult Christian Life. This is
(06:02):
what it looks like, Adult Christian Life. And it is
available for purchase on Amazon, and it's available for purchase
on Barnes and Noble too, and it's also are available
for purchase on the website r H.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Boyd Dco. It's a really good book.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
It's very informative, it's nice information to have, and it's
a blessing. It's a blessing for me just for study,
studying and highlighting and stuff. But we're gonna go ahead
and go forward with our Sunday School lesson on today
Bob a study for a week of January the twenty six,
(06:45):
twenty twenty five lesson number four of this some month.
And like I said earlier, the subject for today's lesson
is doesn't anything last anymore? The background passage is songs
one forty five and the printed passage is songs one
for five, one, ten through twenty one, and the key
(07:12):
verse is your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your
dominion endurers throughout all generations. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion enduras throughout all generations. Your kingdom is
(07:37):
an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endurers throughout all generations.
Songs one for five and thirteen. Your Kingdom is an
everlasting kingdom and your dominion endures through our all generations
psalng and thirteen the new revised standard version. All right,
(08:00):
so as you all know, you heard that K word.
You heard that K word, So that K word kingdom
is very very It is very very important that K
word sticks to you, sicks to me, because that is
(08:22):
what our podcast is based upon.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
It is based upon the kingdom.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
So it is important that the kingdom is highlighted because
God talks about the kingdom all the time.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
He talks about royalty all the time.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
He talks about these things because I don't think that
God want us to go lacking. So that's why he
talks about his kingdom more than anything. Uh.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
One of my one of my friends. One day we were.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Sitting down talking and we're gonna go ahead and get started,
but I want I want to highlight this here. One
of us were talking and the question was asked, what
is Mankind's greatest enemy? What is Mankind's greatest enemy? And
(09:19):
would you be surprised to know that my friend was
the one.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
That said mankind?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
WHOA, yeah, yeah, So Mankind's greatest enemy is in fact mankind?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
And why do you think that is? Why?
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Why do you think Mankind's greatest enemy is mankind? Well,
because we fight ourselves all the time.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
This is what we do.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
We fight ourselves, We kill ourselves, We go against our
we go against the green with ourselves. We don't support ourselves.
We make sure that selfish gain and racism and jealousy
(10:14):
and envy and confusion is the order of the day
rather than what God has mandated each and every one
of us to do, and that is to operate in
his kingdom the appropriate way. If we knew about the
Kingdom the way that we knew about the Kardashians, if
(10:38):
we knew about the.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Kingdom as much as we do with Fatima and.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
The sports world, if we knew about the Kingdom as
much as we do about the world, our mindsets would
be shifted and change to a different rent frequency. Because
God's kingdom is actually the thing that gives us dominion,
(11:11):
the dominion of togetherness. I'm gonna tell you how powerful.
I'm gonna tell you how powerful togetherness is. And the
Tower of Babel. Understand that these people built. I'm not preaching,
I'm telling you what literally happened.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
This is in the Bible.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Okay, these people in the Tower of Babble and building
the Tower of Babble, they were going they had built
a tower so big that it was going to reach
the heavens. A tower, imagine a tower so big, so tall,
(11:55):
that it was going to reach Heaven itself. And God
had to literally intervene because the people was so much
together together together, all right, the people were so together
(12:18):
that he had to come down and he had to
spiritually confuse everyone and give everybody a different language because
these people in building the Tower of Bible were going
to build this tower all the way to heaven.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Well what does that mean?
Speaker 2 (12:44):
That means we are so much better together. If we
could just understand the kingdom, if we fast forward all
the way to the New Testament whenever after Jesus had descended,
all right, you had all these people in here, you know, uh,
(13:04):
because you know, they still had to pick one. And
it was in the upper room. And Peter came down
and he started uh testifying, and he started preaching, and
all these people started getting the power of the Holy ghost. Well,
the power of the Holy ghosts and the power of
(13:24):
the Holy.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Spirit is what brings us all together.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Can you imagine if all of us were all together,
the power togetherness a strong and and and it really
enties to the lesson for the subject for theday. Doesn't
anything last anymore? That happened back then, why can't it
happen today? Doesn't anything last anymore?
Speaker 1 (13:53):
You know?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
All right, So let us go ahead and get started
with the introduction for today. Upon her death, a ninety
seven year old beloved Congregation member in Chicago, Illinois, donated
her home to her children. A widow with no living children,
(14:18):
she had been a member there for seventy seven years.
When church members arrived at her home to remove her effects,
they found boxes filled with church programs, obituaries, flyers, and
pictures the woman had archived throughout the years they found
a great deal of valuable church history, information that many
(14:43):
people had forgotten and assumed to be lost. This woman
had captured moments of worthy celebration that needed to be
remembered and passed down to future generations of the church.
Because of her willingness to organize and share, future generations
(15:03):
will have accurate repository and will have accurate repository of
their faith community. In our passage, David writes, so we
may learn about the God of Israel. David reflects on
his experience with God, provides us with meaningful conclusions and
(15:25):
observations about his ability, and declares what future generations of
believers shall do in response to God's goodness.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
David is not writing.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
About a specific incident, but rather his collective experience with God.
Much like the ninety seven year old beloved church member
referenced above in Psalm one five, David comprehensibly reviews God's
character attributes in his work. The song emphasizes that he
(16:03):
is great beyond comparison as work and is worthy to
be celebrated. Think about it, family members, family members passed
down poverty, heirlooms, and resources. However, have you considered what
lessons about God's grip, about God's greatness you can pass
(16:27):
on to further generations. All right, So you know, I
always like to make sure that we are we are
as interactive as.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Possible, so I will post this.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
I will put this in the comments in the live
sessions on YouTube and Facebook, you know, for your reference,
sou and it says family members passed down property, heirlooms
and resources.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
How have you can said?
Speaker 2 (17:00):
What lessons about God's greatness you can pass on to
future generations. I don't know if you all remember, but
we had some homework last week on the last podcast episode.
I don't know if you all remember that. You know,
(17:21):
I do believe we had homework and that homework was
something that required something for us all to do. Now,
if you want me to be honest, did I do it?
Speaker 1 (17:36):
No? No, I didn't do it.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
But I think that there's a reason why this, this
keeps showing up, this keep this keeps on coming back
because God works in not just togethering, but he also
(18:01):
works within legacy. So it's important for us to be
able to explain, exhort and offer, because that's what it
is too. To be able to offer a different aspect
of things. So I will say that for our homework,
(18:23):
we were supposed to be able to write down how
good a triumphal little event that has happened in our
lives and explain it to a youth. That's what we
were supposed to do. So what I would say is,
even with this question, with this think about it for today, however,
(18:45):
have you considered what lessons about God God's greatness you
can pass on to future generations? So I would say,
just think about that. Let's put these two together, put
to one and one together and let's make two. So
I would say, what can you pass on that God
(19:11):
has done great in your life? What moment can you
pass on to someone else about how God has been
great in your life?
Speaker 1 (19:23):
What could you pass on? You know? So I think.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
You know that is a very important thing to be
able to pay it forward. You know what has occurred
in your life that will allow you to pass that
on to the next generation. All right, So let us
go a little further into our introduction. It is the
(19:53):
first section, so it is about it talks about a
call to praise. It is songs one five, one in
ten through thirteen, and we'll read the newer vised in
the VERSI, and it says, I will extol you, my
(20:13):
God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.
All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,
and all your faithful shall bless you. They shall speak
of the glory of your kingdom, and tell of your
power to make known to all people your mighty deeds
(20:35):
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is
an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The Lord is faithful in all his words and gracious
in all his deeds. So again, God specifically wants us,
(21:01):
the members of his kingdom. He wants us to specifically
tell exactly how He has made things right within our lives.
That's he literally wants us to do that. He wants
us to be able to explain and nenunciate and testify
(21:26):
about the good things that He has done within our lives.
If you look at if we can all look at
our Psalms one forty five and twelve, it says, to
make known, well, how can you make known easy? Just
as much as we gossip, just as much as we talk,
(21:48):
just as much as we chick check and text and
all this other stuff we can tell somebody about how
good God has been to us. Let me tell you
something before we move on to I know it. I
know I get on people nerves. I know I be
pissing people all I just I just go ahead and
tell you. I'll be first to go ahead and confess.
(22:09):
I know I be getting on people nerves.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
I know I do.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
And I'm gonna be straight up with you and tell you.
I know for a fact I get on people nerves
because I'm gonna text you a Bible verse. Hello, I'm
gonna text you a Bible verse. If God tell me
to tell you something, I'm gonna tell it. If God
don't tell me to tell you something, I'm not gonna
tell it. And if God tells me to leave you alone,
I'm gonna leave you alone. And I'm gonna tell you
(22:33):
the only reason why I stick to what I stick
to and I bother people how I bother people, is
because that's what God tells.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Me to do.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Now you can do whatever you want to with. Hey, wait,
you say that sounds so big. You say that sounds
so big. Yeah, I know, But like got to a
point where God has done beat.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Me up enough.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
God, God, God, doe chance ties me a dog out
of God, so mature.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
With this walk that He has placed me in.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
And it's not to say that I'm so big and
I'm so high and mighty and I'm this and this
and that that I can just do whatever I want
to do. No, some people got to come to me
and tell me about myself. I mean, that's how that's
how that go. Some people have to come to me
and tell me about myself, you know. And that's fine,
and I take that. Anybody who knows me knows.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
That I can take it.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
I look, just be straight up, tell me what it is.
But in retrospect we do it in a loving manner, right,
And so that is what God wants us to do.
He wants us to make it known all right songs
one Psalms one forty five and twelve, to make known
(24:00):
to all people your mighty deeds and glorious splendor of
your kingdom.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
So I think, I think.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
I think the power of our gap, our mouths is
a very powerful thing. It could either speak life or
it can speak the latter. And I think it's important
that we're making sure that we're always speaking life. Right,
(24:33):
you can speak the ladder.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
So easily and tears something down just by using your words.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
But you can also build it back up. And I
think that's important that we're building each other up in
the Kingdom of God rather than tearing each other down,
because that doesn't do any good whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
All right, let's move to the know it.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Our passage in vice individuals and communities to recognize the
majesty of God and respond with gratitude and praise. It
serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking God,
embracing God's compassion, and living out the values of God's
kingdom in a world that desperately needs hope and healing. Ultimately,
(25:20):
Psalms one than forty five calls a cause all creation
to join and blessing the name of the Lord, reinforcing
the idea that worship is both a privilege and responsibility
of those who know and follow God. It opens up
with a personal declaration that David recognizes the Lord as
(25:44):
his King and Lord as his God and as his King,
the King of Israel, celebrates the King of Heaven and
invites us to acknowledge that God is truly worthy of
ours praise. Here we might consider David the Psalmist and
(26:05):
the King of Israel. As a praise leader and worship director,
David requests the attention of two audiences in his call
to worship God's works and God's faithful affirming God is
worthy of praise from all creations and that God will
(26:27):
be blessed by God's own three verbs. These three verbs
are translated with the use of the term shall before
them okay, shall praise, shall bless, and shall speak. Three
(26:50):
verbs are translated with the use of the term shall
before them, shall praise, shall bless, and shall speak, Shall praise,
shall bless, and shall speak in the Hebrew language use
of these. The use of this tense mostly indicates action
(27:12):
that is set in the future, but it is also
it but it also is used to express action that
is ongoing and habitual in the present and or commanded.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
This in mind, David is declaring.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
All of creation as well as generations of believers will
indeed praise God, will keep praising God, and must praise
God for his unparalleled greatness. As we consider our collective
history as African Americans, each generation can declare or make
known God's mighty acts. We have a chain of testimonies
(27:57):
that connects us as believers, is in shared experience of
pain as benefactors of God's faithfulness. Verse thirteen highlights God's everction,
God's everlastic nature of God's king, of God's kingdom. David's
reign will have limits, political leaders have terms that they
(28:20):
can serve God's authority, and eternal reign never ends. The
Psalm emphasizes that God's kingdom is not merely a future hope,
but a present reality. For Christians, this truth often offers
(28:40):
comfort and assurance and a world marked by chained uncertainty
and change, the permanence of God's kingdom provides a foundation
of faith. So again, this is the reason why it
is important for us to give to the next generation
(29:06):
what was received to us. This is why we try
our best to tell somebody about the goodness of Jesus
and all that he has done for us. I'm sure
that you've heard that before, right. So that is the
reason why it's told and why it's exhorted, why it's given,
(29:30):
why it's presented, why why it is put to action
the way that it is in these old school churches
is because it is because our culture is based upon testimony,
and that's the way that we learn and grew and.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Understood God's kingdom back then.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
You have to realize a lot of a lot of
slaves back then, they didn't know how to read, so
the only thing they could do was go off of
what someone else said and about what they felt. So,
in actuality, the blessing for us to be able to
read and comprehend and understand is a blessing right now.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
And some of us especially, I see this in the
young folks all the time.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
We you know, they take advantage of these phones, and
they take advantage of these tablets more so than what
we did.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
Whenever my generation was coming up, I'm how old am I?
Thirty five? Thirty thirty five? Oh?
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Lord, I don't forgot my age. I think I'm thirty five, Lord,
have merchant. I don't forgot how I was, Lord, how
old am I? Let me look at the calendar. That's
sad at it. I don't forgot how old that was.
But my generation thirty five, I'm thirty five years old.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Cool. That's bad.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
That's bad when you forget our old tis. So look,
I'm thirty five. So my generation coming up, we were
just getting into the Sega genesis we were getting into
the Nintendo, the Super Nintendo. My generation we had we
was playing you know, uh with the uh with the
(31:25):
Duck Hunt. That was my generation coming up. So we
were just getting into this world of dialog. You know.
Now everybody got Internet everywhere. I came up with dialogue,
and it's like what has been given and what has
been offered now is it's almost like it's not even
(31:50):
it used to be a luxury back then, That's what
I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
It used to that used to be a luxury to
have that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Now it's just like, well, it's a normality, you know,
to have Internet and Wi Fi and that kind of thing.
And it's it's almost like people don't appreciate it anymore,
you know it. You know, it's it's especially young folks,
especially young folks. That's why it's always important to instill
(32:18):
within the new generation coming up the importance of the
value of certain things. You know, this didn't come you know,
it seems like it just came like that, but it
didn't happen just like that. Somebody had to work, somebody
had to innovate, somebody had to create. Don't be a
part of that, you know, just just just just keep
(32:43):
your mind still stable, read, grasp more knowledge, grass more understanding,
those certain other of certain things.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
So, uh, I think it's important to pass down what
has been taught.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
We get ready to move to the next part of
the note it, but I think it's very important to
pass down certain aspects.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
This is in my notes. You know, I've watched so
many churches just straight up closes, and it's really sad.
It really is sad.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
I've seen so many churches close their doors because the
congregation is so and it's not the pastor the congregation
is so mean and hard and selfish because they don't
want to pass down what they know to the next generation.
And you know, it can really cost you if you're
(33:47):
not careful, because because the rs would show love to
have your church, the county would show love to how
you have your church.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
To town would love to take that land that was
donated to you for.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Free of charge. They would love to have that simply
because it comes free. Just because we're not maintaining God's
Kingdom in the way that we should. I've been to
some churches where there's only two members, one or two members,
and and and the constant cry out. I've been to
(34:25):
some churches with five members, twelve members or whatever, and
the constant cry out is the young people are not
coming back, the young adults are not coming back.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Whereas this where is that?
Speaker 2 (34:36):
And it's a constant conflict. It goes It's like a tree,
you know, it just goes back and forth. It wavers
this way, and it waves that way, and it's and
it's a challenging conversation. But it all comes from withinside
of the church house.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
If you have someone and and and and I'm saying
this out of pure example.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
If there is someone, if there is a school teacher
who is teaching school by profession.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
But does not want or have anything to do.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
In Christian education inside of the church house, inside of
God's kingdom, what good is that doing the church?
Speaker 1 (35:30):
This is Kingly Discusses podcast, So anything is on the table.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
I'm just throwing this out here now, I'm just.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Throwing this out here. Hit me out what good is
that doing the church?
Speaker 2 (35:46):
How are they able to extract from themselves teaching for
the secular world but not able to extract teaching in
God's Kingdom. So then comes more studious learning, Then comes
(36:07):
more Christian education. Then comes more Bible study, then becomes
more prayer, then becomes more fasting, then becomes more learning,
then becomes more investing inside the church, which allows that
teacher that is teaching in the secular to be able
to bring that inside of god Kingdom. Yes, if someone
(36:34):
is extracting the gift of teaching in the secular world,
then they should be able to extract teaching into God's kingdom.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Yes, this is truth. This is how we make known. Right.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
If you have someone inside of your church who is
an honest person, who go to work and works in
the audit committee, who works in the finance committee at
their secular why aren't you extracting that so that it
(37:15):
can be used inside of God's kingdom.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Maybe they need to be on the steward board. Maybe
they need to be on the trustee board.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Maybe they need to be somewhere where finances are because
they have some credible knowledge about finances. Yes, this is
what we're supposed to be doing. If we can do
it for the secular, we can do it for God's kingdom.
(37:49):
If someone is a grant writer, right, and they're writing
grants for their company, then of course the church should
be able to extract from that and be able to
get funding as well. I don't know where we're missing
(38:11):
the mark in certain things whenever it comes to our churches,
because we're not extracting people's gifts. You have a social
media influencer, however that there, and look, I understand some
social media influencers are out there.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
I get it. But if you got a podcaster, you have.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
A social media influencer, Extract from that the good parts.
Insert them in as a as a greeter, grow them
in as an usher, a greeter or something, and allow
your church to extract the good parts. Allow God's Kingdom
(38:58):
to extract the good parts. It hurts my feelings when
I see churches close because we're closing from reasons that
God has solutions. We're closing our churches on reasons where
(39:20):
God has solutions.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
So let's move forward.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
I don't want to harp on that too long. I
got when this section came up, it hit my soul,
as you can tell it just it did something to
me spiritually, and I was like, man, this is what
I've been talking about for years.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
So yeah, let's move on.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
So the first one first section is a call to
praise Psalngs One forty five, one and ten through thirteen,
and the next one is the Praise of all Creation. Yeah,
the Praise of all Creations Psalm one five fourteen through eighteen.
(40:09):
And I, of course you know i'm'a read the newer
VI Standard version.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
The Lord upholds all who are falling, and raises up
all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look
to you, and you give them their food, and due season,
you open your hands, satisfying the desire of every living thing.
The Lord is just in all his ways and kind
(40:34):
and all his doings. The Lord is near to all
who call on him. The Lord is near to all
who call on him, to all who are, to all
who call on him. In truth, the psalm highlights God's goodness,
emphasizing his mercy and compassion through how God cares and
(40:56):
provides for his creation. This portrayal underscores God's character as
loving and patient, qualities that resonate deeply with those who
seek comfort in times of struggle of trouble. God's deep
love for us is found in the Hebrew word has
(41:17):
sid h e s e d. It is translated into
our English into different phrases, each pointing to.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
God's love for us.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
It carries a multi faceted meaning, in compassing loyalty, faithfulness,
and unconditional love, particularly in relationships.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
In the Old Testament, has said h. E.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
S Ed is frequently used to describe God's covenant love
for his people, highlighting his commitment to them despite their failures.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
It reflects a sense of active goodwill.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
Love is not merely an emotion, but is demonstrated through
actions and behaviors that support and uplift others. We get
a glimpse of these actions and Verseseen fourteen through eighteen
with David's focus on God's provided providence and care for
his people. God attends to all who are feeling this
(42:20):
who are falling. This acknowledgment of God's attentiveness to the
needs of his creation paints a picture of compassionate deity
who is actively involved in the lives of his people.
It reassures believers that they are not forgotten or abandoned.
God is intimately aware of our struggles and provides support
(42:45):
in our times of need. David extars the goodness and
mercy that anchor God's character. This portrayal of God as
compassionate and caring resonates deeply with the human experience in
times of struggle. This aspect of God's character invites believers
(43:05):
to seek him in need. Recognizing that God cares for
the vulnerable and the broken encourages us to trust God's
provision and support. Furthermore, it caused us to emulate His
compassion and our interaction with others, and particularly those who
are struggling. David's audience was an Argerian society. The economy
(43:30):
was based on the success of crops and flocks. Both
were vulnerable economic sources. Drought and disease could tremendously impact
David's audience, who regularly faced food in security. A God
who feed them was a God who was concerned about
their needs.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
While many of us may not wrestle against food in security,
food in security.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
In the same way David's first audience, many in our
community face food deserts, face food deserts where access to
health and fresh foods is scarce. Additionally, the cost of fruits, vegetables,
and unprocessed foods may take these may make these options
(44:15):
out of reach. Meeting in the global community still face
famine and extremely and extreme poverty when possible, when we
are called to act where we see needs motivated by
God's goodness towards us. Ultimately, Verses fourteen through eighteen highlight God's.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
Intimate relationship with this creation.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
The Psalms notes that the Lord is righteous and all
his ways and faithful and all his acts. God is
near to all who call on him and promise that
emphasizes God's accessibility to his people. Yeah, this section here
(44:55):
was really strong one and the section that I the
sentence that I highlighted was recognizing that God cares for
the vulnerable and the broken encourages us to trust God's
provision and support. Furthermore, it caused us to emulate His
(45:17):
compassion and our interactions with others, particularly those who are struggling.
You know, people can get on your nerves, and if
you're not careful, sometimes that your nerves.
Speaker 1 (45:32):
Can consume you, Your feelings can consume you, your emotions
can consume you if you're not careful.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
And that's why I believe that it is very important
for us to always check ourselves to make sure that
we are operating within the spirit and that we are
operating within the kingdom. Because the first battle, the first
struggle that we all struggle with is within ourselves. We
(46:00):
do get in our feelings when certain things happen, and
that's okay. We're allowed to feel the way that we
feel about certain things, but it's not okay to stay there.
And the reason why it's not okay for us to
stay there is because God didn't stay there with us.
When we ask for forgiveness, God freely gave it to us.
(46:23):
When we ask for opportunity, God freely gave it to us.
When we ask for salvation, God freely gave it to us.
So it's up for us, up to us to return
the same indeed, and I know that it's hard to
It's easier said than done. It's so easy to say,
you know, well, you know this person is getting on
(46:44):
my nerves.
Speaker 1 (46:44):
I'm gonna isolate, I'm gonna lead them alone. That's easy.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
The hard part is to be able to continue to
sow the seed and water, because that's really all it is.
So in seed and water, that's it. God is gonna
have to implement the growth. God is gonna have to
implement the increase. God is gonna have to be the
one that changes that person's heart. It's not us we
get confused. With that sometimes and I get confused with
(47:13):
it or because it's like I want to see a change.
Well maybe the person, maybe the individual isn't ready for
the change. Maybe maybe they're satisfied with the mediocre. Maybe
that's okay with them. Man, that may not be okay
with you. So there's a fine line there.
Speaker 1 (47:37):
But continue to pray. That's it. Continue the water, that's it.
Throw it out there, you know, continue to sold to see.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
That's what I do.
Speaker 1 (47:48):
I know, I get on people nerves. It's fine with me.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
I don't care certain ones. I mean, I'll pick it,
choose my battles, but certain ones I just be like, okay, whatever,
you don't fool with me, I don't fool with you.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
That's fine.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
I'm gonna still do what I do. And it's very uncomfortable,
I will say. And look, it's very uncomfortable. It's very uncomfortable.
Why because that's not what people are used to. I'm
gonna tick you off. I'm gonna get on your nerves
and you're gonna leave me alone.
Speaker 1 (48:25):
And that's it. That's usually what it is.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
So I just wanted to throw that out there to you,
you know, all right, So let's go to the last
section of our Sunday School Live and Online number three.
So the first one, the first one was a call
to Praise songs one forty five, one ten through thirteen,
(48:53):
and the second section is was the Praise of All
Creation songs one five, fourteen through eighteen. And this section
here that we're getting ready to go over is God's
Care and Righteousness Songs one forty five, nineteen through twenty one.
And as you know, we're always gonna stay on the
(49:13):
new revised standard version. He fulfills the desire of all
who fear him. The go that f word fear again, y'all.
He fulfills the desire of all who fear him. He
also hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watch
overs all who love him, but all the wicked he
(49:37):
will destroy. In my mouth will speak the praise of
the Lord, and all flesh will bless His Holy name
forever and ever. In a world where so much feels
uncertain and temporary, Songs one forty five and nineteen through
twenty one offers a profound reminder of the enduring nature
of God's care and righteousness. The psal celebrates God as
(50:01):
one who fulfills the desire of them that fear Him,
and also will hear their cry and save them. The
King James version in the nineteenth verse that God will
fulfill is an indication of God's display of faithfulness. Alike
the spleeting promises we encounter and our daily lives, God's
(50:22):
faithfulness and attentive.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
Love are constant.
Speaker 2 (50:27):
God is near to those who call, offering a relationship
that is rooted in a steadfast care of compassion that
cannot be matched. These verses also highlight God's justice here
in verse twenty a promise of both protection and accountability.
God's righteousness means that his care for his people is
(50:49):
not only about meeting immediate needs, but also ensuring his
justice prevails. Even when the world arounds us feels chaotic
and unfair. We can trust in God's on wavering commitment
to those who are right, on God's on waving commitment
to his righteousness, knowing that God upholds the righteous and
(51:11):
brings justice in due time. The Psalm concludes in the
same way it opened with a call of praise verse
number twenty one. David is our worship leader. He begins
with his own declaration of praise, then turns his call
to all flesh. This is an invitation to respond to
(51:32):
God's eternal care with his everlasting devotion. In a culture
that often wonders doesn't anything last anymore? The answer is
found in the unchanging character of God. His love and
righteousness endure forever, offering a firm foundation that invites us
(51:52):
to trust and worship no matter how uncertain life may be.
Speaker 1 (51:58):
Doesn't anything last anymore? Is a cry.
Speaker 2 (52:04):
It is a It is a ouch moment because it
is the reason is one of the reasons, is one
of the cries out that the church currently has with
everything doesn't anything last one moment?
Speaker 1 (52:21):
Church is at a high where there's.
Speaker 2 (52:25):
Hundreds of people, hundreds of people, where the church is
a field pew to pew, but then a couple of
generations later, nobody there. It is a cry because some
folks have become selfish in their gain, and God does
(52:52):
not stop his blessings. Let me say that one more time.
Make sure you hear what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (53:04):
God does not stop his blessings. He don't do it.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
We you and I we may stop doing for other people,
but God doesn't stop his blessings, even though we may
feel some kind of way God doesn't.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
God doesn't operate the way we operate. The churches are.
Speaker 2 (53:35):
Closing, the churches being scarce, jobs or whatever, and government whatever.
Speaker 1 (53:43):
God doesn't stop being God. What he will do is
that he will raise a generation that we hear him,
and he blesses that. But the gates of hells to
not prevail against the Kingdom of God.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
That is exactly true. Wherever the Kingdom of God is,
that's what will prevail in moments where we are not
highlighting the kingdom of God, where we are not up
keeping the Kingdom of God, where God is not welcome.
(54:26):
That's whenever you see things change. That's whenever you see
things getting scarce, because God comes first to what is
decent and what is in order. There's two gospels out there.
(54:49):
I do hope that you know you don't take this
out of context, but there's two gospels.
Speaker 3 (54:53):
Out there, legit and ain't a Bible. They are ain't
a Bible. I had a podcast episode. I had a
podcast episode you could listen to and you will be
able to find it out for yourself. There's two gospels
out there.
Speaker 1 (55:13):
Did you know that? Cheously? Did you know that?
Speaker 2 (55:18):
Well? I heard that the Gospel you know, the gospel
is supposed to be his dead, his burial, and his
resurrection and all. Yeah, that's one of the gospels. That's
the Gospel of Jesus. That's the Gospel of Jesus, the
death and burial of the resurrection of Jesus. Well, what
(55:40):
about the gospel that Jesus preached, the gospel that Jesus offered?
Speaker 1 (55:45):
What about that? Do we ever talk about that? Behold,
Jesus said, the.
Speaker 2 (55:53):
Kingdom of God is at hand. So wherever the Kingdom
of God is not at hand? And how can that
bless anything? Read your word, seriously, reach your word. Matter
of fact, I'll do you one better. I'll be nice today.
(56:14):
Normally I don't do this, but i'm a i'm a
i'm a I'm gonna be nice today.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
I feel like being nice today.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
I took time in a podcast episode and I highlighted, uh,
pretty much really where everything is in the Bible, where
it concerns you know, uh, where it concerns that particularly.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
Uh I found it.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
I did, and it's it's definitely in there. It's just
two gospels, the Gospel of Jesus and the Gospel that
Jesus preached. It's it's two different ones, and a lot
of us we get so hung up off of what
the preachers say and what the preacher know that we
(57:07):
just stopped right there and that's it. And then we're
wondering why, well where all the people go, Well, we're
not staying true to the gospel that Jesus preached.
Speaker 1 (57:21):
If y'all want to.
Speaker 2 (57:21):
Listen to that episode, I put it right here in
the comments here. Let's hit it right there.
Speaker 1 (57:28):
It ain't up for thirty minutes. Just click that link.
There you go.
Speaker 2 (57:35):
God wants us to be sure that we are talking
upkeeping and staying true to His kingdom. That's it, all right,
(57:58):
This is the end of Sunday School. A lie now
shime for I remember it, share it, live it, and
hear it. After that's it. We're doing for the day.
We are doing for the day. All right, now it's
time for I remember it, share it, live it, and
hear it.
Speaker 1 (58:15):
Remember it.
Speaker 2 (58:16):
David's reflections on God's character encourage us to recognize God's
mercy and compassion, fostering a sense of trust and dependence
in our lives. We are never without God and never
end this life alone. The Psalm also emphasizes the importance
of passing down our experiences of God's faithfulness to our
(58:39):
future generations, much like the legacy of the beloved church
member who preserved.
Speaker 1 (58:45):
Her life history.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
As we acknowledge God's eternal kingdom, we are called to
actively advance God's values of.
Speaker 1 (58:52):
Love and justice in the world.
Speaker 2 (58:55):
Share it, sing or recite the words to leaning on
the ever Leaning on the everlasting arms. How does this
hymn describe the faithfulness of God?
Speaker 1 (59:09):
Live it?
Speaker 2 (59:10):
There is so much to complain about in life, and
life consists of many difficult moments. This requires us to
be intentional about gratitude, about our gratitude towards God. Over
the next seven days, find a new reason each day
(59:31):
to offer thanksgiving to God, all right. So they're going
to challenge for us right here. I'm gonna post this
in the description of the podcast whenever it is available,
and I'm gonna also put it in the comments here
because I think that we should try this challenge. I
think each of every one of us should try it.
(59:52):
Here it says, over the next seven days, find a
new reason each day to offer thanksgiving to God's That's
that's pretty good, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
So that's the livid. Hear it, create a spiritual inheritance.
Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
Start develop developing a collection of testimonies and experiences.
Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
You have had with God.
Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
This collection will speak about God's goodness for generations to come.
Consider using a journal, voice recordings, or video recordings to
capture this information for future use. My mom, I'm not
trying to spread her business or nothing, but she has tablets, booklets,
she has some of everything. And I get on her
(01:00:32):
all the time because we could have we could have
been a lot more rich. We could have been rich
her with all that information that she has had. But
she has a collection of things that she has written. Uh,
this is this is a wonderful thing. Write, copy and
paste this, put it in your notes on your for
(01:00:52):
however God has been good to you. Write it down,
however God has been blessed, has blessed you. Record it,
stamp it, keep it somewhere into archives. Just in case
of something happens, you could always go back to it
and relate to it.
Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
All right, And that is the hear it all right?
Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
So it says, get social starter online conversation about faithfulness.
Share your views and tag us at urchboy Dco and

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
Dear Heavenly Father, yet again, we thank you for blessing
us and keeping us on today. We thank you for
the opportunity to come together in the spirit of holiness
and technologically so that we can grow more in wisdom,
grow more and knowledge, and grow more.
Speaker 1 (01:01:56):

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for the kingdom that
you have given us, and we thank you for inserting
in us the dominion and power to call those things
that be not as though they are where they were. God,
we thank you and we praise you. We asked you

and danger, that this week will be the best week ever,
