evening to each and every one of you. Is such
a blessing to have you. But on this evening for
Sunday School live and online for the Bible Study a
week of February. This is lesson number five for February

(04:21):
to second UH, two thousand, twenty five, and the subject
for today's lesson is too much debt, too much debt,
too much debt, too much debt. And the background passage
is Matthew the sixth chapter, UH, Matthew the sixth chapter,

(04:43):
the fifth through the fifteenth verse, and the printed passage
is Matthew the sixth Chapter, the fifth through the fifteenth
versus Well. And the key verse and the key verse
for UH this Sunday School lesson are too much debt.
The key verse is Matthew the sixth chapter and the

(05:04):
tenth verse, and it says, thy Kingdom, Come thou will
be done in earth as it is in heaven. Key
verse is Thy Kingdom, Come thou will be done in
earth as it is in heaven. That sounds familiar on it?
What that sound familion for? I ain't gonna ruin it

(05:27):
for nobody. I don't want to assault nobody intelligence or
that God. Oh you know, that's the sound familiar right there.
That's the South familiar for you. But I ain't go
ruin it for nobody. I ain't go ruin it. Thy Kingdom,
Come thou will be done in earth as it is
in heaven. Matthew sixty sixth chapters, tenth verse. All right,

(05:49):
so let us go ahead and get started with our intro,
it says. In twenty eighteen, churches in the Dallas Fort
Worth metro appliques lobbied the local government to restrict the
predatory lending of the payday loan companies. Payday loan and

(06:13):
title companies are often located and predominantly minority neighborhoods, and
loan money at extremely high interest rates. The rates are
so high that often borrowers are never able to catch
up and repay. The passors and community leaders became concerned

(06:35):
about the rising debt of parishioners and citizens due to
the interest rates these institutions charged. The large amounts of
debt impacted marriages, home ownership, and adversively affected the financial
health of hard working people who needed emergency funds. The

(06:57):
pastors and community leaders worked with city officials to develop
local governance on the payday loan industries lending practices. Additionally,
one church opened a credit union that served the community
with better interest rates and loan options. They realize the

(07:19):
impact that debt relief can have and work to ensure
that they provided the possibility for their members and other neighbors.
Our passage, extracted from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, found
in chapters five through seven of the Gospel of Matthew,

(07:42):
represents Jesus' most comprehensive teaching. It addresses various aspects of
more living and emphasizes the values of the Kingdom of Heaven.
In Matthew chapter six, Jesus, that's right, right, that's right,
that's right, the Lord's Prayer and Matthew. The sixth chapter,

(08:04):
Jesus discusses the importance of sincerity in religious practices, particularly
in prayer, and introduces the Lord's prayer as a model
for his followers. And here's the think about it on
this afternoon, on this evening, I'm going to drop it

(08:28):
in the comments on the liud sessions here on Facebook
as well as for you to I'm going to put
that think about it question right there and to think
about it. Question is have you ever struggled to pay
a debt? Have you ever struggled to pay a debt?

(08:51):
And how did you feel once the debt was finally paid?
Think about it? Have you ever struggled to pay a debt?
How did you feel once the debt was finally paid? Well,
I got a list of things that I've been in
debt with. Now, now look at her. Now we can

(09:14):
talk about spiritual debt. We can talk about financial debt,
we can talk we can talk about some of everything. Look,
I'm telling you we can talk about some of everything.
But listen, in this instance, I want you to really
think about the things that you have been indebted to.
I want you to think about that, contemplate it, think

(09:37):
about it, and I want you to write it down.
The things that you have been in debt to because
the Sunday School lesson does a really good job on
this Sunday to make us aware of the things that
we are indebted to. So one of the things I

(09:58):
go ahead and tell you one of the things that
I was proud of that I came out of deck
with was me paying for my twenty fourteen he signed ultimate.
That was my That was my bread and butter. That
was that car was good to me and whenever I
was because I had originally purchased the car from car

(10:19):
City with a high interest rate from around twenty one percent.
And all of y'all who who are who who have
financed the vehicle? You know that me saying twenty one percent,
it's just like, oh wait a minute, that's our way. Robberie.
They rob and they did they did they right? They

(10:43):
robed be blind, They rob be blind. They did so.
But the down payment how I got the car was
that I had to use a down payment of a
vehicle that I already had. I went to the car
lot at car City Humberton used that as a doubt
payment and I was able to get the twenty fourteen

(11:05):
Nissan Ultima, and I was paying around two I was
paying around three hundred twenty every month and all for
the car. Then I was able to go back to
the bank. I was able to go to go through
my bank, which was State Employee's Credit Union, and refinance
Right Refinance. And there's the reason why I'm telling you

(11:27):
all of this. So I was able to refinance the
vehicle from a whopping twenty one percent all the way
down to a whopping five percent. So that's a great
substantial change from twenty one percent all the way down
to five percent. Might have been able to do more,

(11:49):
but I was just ready to go ahead and finish
paying it. So whenever I finally finished paying for it,
I felt a moment of relief. I felt a moment
of accomplishment. I felt like I was able to do
something that most people aren't able to do, and that's

(12:09):
being able to have ownership on certain things. And that
was my goal. I wanted to be able to own
that vehicle. So whenever I got the title, I put
it in a plaque that's light skinned. I know, I
know that's very life skinned to be out. I know,

(12:31):
I know I'm it's okay, it's okay, I know i'med,
But listen, I had to put that thing in the plaque.
That was one of the first things that I ever
paid off on my own. I paid it and I
put it in a plaqu. I was so happy to
have it, and I just felt accomplished. I felt like
I did something right. I felt like that was the
American dream, and I just it was my first first

(12:56):
feel of saying that I was able to own something.
So being able to refinance that vehicle made me feel
as if that it was worth it because whenever I
bought it, I had bought it with the twenty one
percent or nineteen to twenty one percent interest race, which
totally made me inside out with the vehicle. So yeah, yeah,

(13:21):
so yeah, just always know that going in the deck
can be a blessing, but if you're not careful, it
could also be a curse for you as well if
you're not careful. So too much that going back to
what the title or the subject for today's Sunday School
lesson is too much that that can be also recollected

(13:44):
for us and related to us for us right now,
don't write checks that you can't cash. Yeah, let me
say that one more time. Let me say that, over time, Uh,
the old folks used to say that they are all

(14:06):
the time. They used to say that all the time.
Don't write checks that you can't cash. Don't write checks
that you can't cash. So I want us all to
be sure that we are doing or just doing. Pay
your bills if you have to, if you have to
have a debt, you know, make sure you have good credibility,

(14:28):
do whatever it is that you need to do to
settle it because you want you don't want to owe
no man nothing. You don't want to owe no man
one thing. All right, So, but we're gonna move on
when I think about it. The question, like I said,
is posted in the comments of the YouTube live stream

(14:50):
as well as the Facebook live stream as well. So
moving on, let us go to the first of our
Sunday school lesson, which is Praying with sincerity Matthew chapter six,
Versus five through six. Matthew Chapter six, versus five through six.

(15:16):
Matthew Chapter six, versus five through six. And it says,
and whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites,
for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues
and at the street corners, so that they may be

(15:39):
seen by others. Truly, I tell you they have not
received they have well, truly I have tell you they
have received their reward. But whenever you pray, go into
your room, shut the door, pray to your father who
is in heaven. Who oh, pray to your father who

(16:00):
is in secret, and your father, who sees you in secret,
will reward you there. So you know that's very important
to observe and to recollect the very very very important
to observe and recollect on whenever we are doing our prayers,

(16:26):
whenever we are focusing ourselves in prayer, it is it
is for the edification and communication between that person and God.
The edification and communication between that person and God. That's prayer.
So we're not we're not going up there whenever we're praying,

(16:50):
and certain capacities and our churches and our synagogues and
our temples and our organizations just to be seen. Prayer
is not only just communication between a person and God,
but it's also a divine kingdom standard that we all

(17:11):
must take up between us and the Lord. So what
you mean, what do you mean by a kingdom standard?
So prayer takes time. I'm just gonna go ahead and
tell you prayer takes time. This is why Jesus says
here and verse number six Matthew, Chapter six, verse number six.

(17:36):
This is why he says, But when you pray, go
into your room. So wherever your house is, wherever your
home is, wherever your peace is, wherever that you're doing stuff,
Go to your room, shut the door, pray to your

(17:58):
father who is in that seek who's in secret, and
your father, who sees, who sees in secret, will reward
you accordingly. Now you got two options. Whenever it comes
to prayer. You can either pray for self gain or

(18:21):
you can either pray for God gain. And I don't
know about you, but I will much rather to gain.
I will much rather to have God gain godly game
than manly game. I will much rather have godly game
than manly game. I don't want no worldly game. I

(18:43):
don't want none of that stuff. Give me what God,
I want you to give me, well, exactly what I
pray for. I want you to reward me according to
your word, to your scriptures, to what is a written
and what I am studying and what I am finding.

(19:04):
That's the kind of attitude that we should be having
whenever we are praying to God. That is the kind
of attitude. Are not the kind of prayer that edifies
and solidifies oneself to be found acceptable in the sight
of man. No, this is why God says. This is

(19:28):
why Jesus says here in Matthew chapter six, verses five
and six. This is why he said that whenever you
pray for manly game, that's what you will gain is
manly reward. When you pray to self edify, that's your reward.

(19:49):
That's your reward whatever man gives you. See what Jesus
also offers the contrary as well, which is if that
you pray to God not only just in the public,
but from within the private. All right, your reward is

(20:10):
within private sometimes confident Well see uhh yeah, yeah, that's right,
thank you Lord. Self confidence is based is greatly given
and greatly established. Self confidence is greatly built within the

(20:33):
private between you and God. That's self confidence that builds
strong faith, that builds your spirit. Man, So that whenever
it is time for you to go out in the public,
you've already sought. You already got your reward from God.

(20:54):
So you not concerned whether if people acknowledge you or not.
That's the teaching right there. Once God has rewarded you already,
you don't need the reward of the world. You don't
need it. You already have it because you already got
it in private. Alright, So let's let's go ahead and

(21:17):
move forward. This is why we all know man nothing.
This that's why. That's that's why you all know man
nothing but love. That's why, because God gives you everything
that you need. Okay, alright, So let's move on forward, uh,
from our introduction, and let's go ahead and dip and
dive into our know it. Jesus desires that his followers

(21:51):
pray with sincerity. Jesus, before offering the model prayer, challenges
his disciples on their motivations for prayer by contrasting the
genuine practice of prayer with the performative acts of the hypocrites.
Jesus teaches prayer cannot be performative, but must be a

(22:16):
genuine act by the believer. Hypocrite was a term for
actors during Jesus' ministry. He warns against praying in public
to gain the admiration of others, emphasizing that true prayer
should be a personal conversation with God instead of seeking

(22:40):
people's approval. Believers are encouraged to secretly enter their private
rooms and pray to the Father where their sincerity can
be fully expressed. During Jesus' ministry, Jews in Jerusalem had
fixed their strict lies tis of public prayer. Jesus realized

(23:04):
that religious regimen did not automatically produce a healthy relationship.
This challenge is still relevant. Praying publicly for worship service
and being celebrated by others should not outweigh the consistent
practice of private prayer in our lives. All right, I'm

(23:29):
gonna say that one more time, Praying publicly for worship
service and being celebrated by others shouldn't outweigh the consistent
practice of private prayer in our lives. Without private prayer

(23:50):
and devotion, public prayer is a performance with its own reward.
This is not to suggests that scheduling time to pray
or that prayer in the presence of others is bad practice.
Believers should join their churches for prayer time, pray with

(24:14):
their families at specific times, and schedule time during their
busy days to devote to prayer. So again, it is very,
very important that we are praying within our private lives.

(24:35):
That is very, very important that we are praying in
our private lives, our private lives. That is so important.
It's simply because whenever you are praying in the private,
God is able to talk to you and communicate to

(24:55):
you right then and there, and He will reward you,
give you the desires, the wants and needs and whatever
it is that it is that you need from Him
at that current moment, and he rewards you for that
devotion to him. Now in the public it is a
little different because right then and there you are in

(25:18):
the right right then and there. Whenever you are doing
public prayer, public prayer is pushed for uh for the
church's services, for the church's reward. So you don't want
to get in the way of someone receiving their blessings.

(25:38):
That's what you don't want to do. If you're not careful,
that's what you can do. You don't want to get
in the way of somebody's blessings right then and there.
So let me say this. During the morning worship service,
that is a such that is such a beautiful and

(26:00):
sacred time where people come together and they pray together
as a church. Right now, pastors, preachers, ministers, y'all listen up,
check this out. We all have special times that are
designed for certain kind of prayers. And for all of
you who don't know, there are many different kinds of prayers.

(26:24):
You have prayers for edification, you have prayers for intercession,
you have prayers for healing. You have all these different
kinds of prayers. But I would like to see within
our churches what I would recommend for our churches on
morning worship services. Where after the scripture and then you

(26:46):
got after the scripture in the morning worship service, then
it's time for the morning prayer. I like to fancy
that prayer called the pastoral prayer. That's what I like
to call it, pastor prayer. It's not to say that
the pastor or the preacher has to give that prayer

(27:07):
every single morning. It's not saying that.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
But the pastoral prayer is in fact a prayer for
the church because who is the head of the church.
The head of the church is in fact the pastor.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
So the head of the pastor is a I mean,
the head of the pastor should be God. So if
we're praying a pastoral prayer, which is a prayer for
the church, for the church's needs, for the church's necessities,
for the churches wants, for the church's desires. In that

(27:43):
pastoral prayer, what we have found is a covering for
the church. That's what we find there. We find a
covering for the church. So who could pray a pastoral's prayer? Anybody,
anybody who who who who can pray over the church,

(28:09):
who possesses the ability to buying up the enemy in
the name of Jesus, anybody who is able that who
anybody who has built confidence, anybody who has UH went
to God in private prayer and He has rewarded them
there and He has blessed them with that gift of

(28:33):
intercession that they can pray over the church. Because sometimes
the pastor needs a prayer too. Have you ever heard
of the saying that every preacher needs a preacher, every
evangelist needs to be evangelized to every uh a prophet
needs to be prophesied too. That's the reason. Sometimes the

(28:58):
church mother a church mother might need to do the
pastoral prayer. Are the president or the chairman I don't
like to say president, chairman of the board of trustees
might need to do the pastoral prayer. The Sunday school
superintendent might need to do the pastoral prayer one day.

(29:21):
They know the needs of the people, they know the
wishes of the people, they know the desires of the people,
so sometimes they might need to do that. So that's
why I said, I like to fancy during our morning
worship service. During during our morning worship service, whenever we
are having the morning prayer, I like to fancy that

(29:42):
I like to call that the pastoral prayer, so that
there's a that's a covering prayer. Then you got another prayer,
a prayer at the end after the pastor preach. It's
it's during the invitation. We like, we like to fancy
call it uh the invitation to Christian discipleship. In other words,
it's a it's a prayer after the sermon. It's anna

(30:06):
prayer after the servant. So you got a prayer to
invote the presence of the Holy Spirit, which is called
the invocation. That you have the pastoral prayer, which is
right after the scripture. Then you have another prayer which
is during the invitation to Christian discipleship. You got all
these prayers, so everybody should be prayed up. All right,

(30:26):
let's move on everybody should be prayed up, all right,
So let's let's move on. But I like to fancy
I like to fancy those and categorize that because uh,
sometimes we we we do need a covering. We do
need to be uh uh making sure that we are

(30:48):
praying together, and that when when when we are praying together,
we need to make sure that we're handling home too.
So we need to be praying in private, all right,
So let's move So the first thing that we talked
about was praying with sincerity Matthew chapter six, verses five
through six. And now we're gonna go to number two,

(31:09):
the model prayer, which is Matthew chapter six, Versus seven
through thirteen. Matthew Chapter six, verses seven through thirteen. It says,
when you are praying, do not head up empty phrases,

(31:33):
as the gentiles do, for they think that they will
be heard because of their many words. Do not like them,
for your father knows what you need before you ask them.
Pray then this way, our Father in heaven, May your
name be revered as holy, May your kingdom come. May

(31:58):
your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debt towards and do
not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue
us from the evil one. Jesus opens teaching his disciples

(32:23):
to pray by recognizing God's holiness and verse number five
and verse number nine demonstrating that communication with God is accessible,
but it's still sacred. Then, Jesus invites individuals to actively
participate in bringing about the values of God's kingdom, such

(32:49):
as justice, love, mercy, and peace, into their daily lives
and communities. And verse number ten, Jesus desires that God's
will be manifested on earth in the same perfect way
that it is in Heaven. Additionally, this phrase reflects a

(33:14):
posture of prayerful submission, encouraging us to seek God's guidance
and alignment with God's divine purpose rather than merely pursuing
our own desires. By asking for daily bread, Jesus teaches
his followers to approach God with humility and trust, recognizing

(33:39):
that their provision comes from Him each day. In verse
number eleven, this request underscores the importance of trust in
God's provision, a thing that resonates deeply with the concept
of community support, especially in times of financial distress. This

(34:03):
phrase signifies more than just physical sustenance. It represents a
broader dependence on God for all aspects of life, including
a spiritual nourishment and emotional support. It also encourages a
sense of gratitude and acknowledgment on ongoing care, fostering a

(34:29):
lifestyle that values daily reliance on divine grace rather than
self sufficiency. One aspect of the Lord's Prayer that is
often ignored and overly spiritualized is the concept of debt relief.

(34:50):
Jesus introduces the principle of debt relief, linking our forgiveness
from God to our willingness to forgive others and verse
number twelve. In doing so, this highlights the reciprocal nature
of His forgiveness. In the Christian faith, debt and debt

(35:11):
relief emerge as a vital principle that intertwines with the
broader message of grace, mercy, and communal responsibility. The prayer
ends with reassurance that God will honor requests for guidance
away from the temptation that delivers from evil in verse

(35:32):
number thirteen, reinforcing the need for God's intervention and both
spiritual and daily matters. So the model Prayer, which is
also known as the Lord's Prayer, is a very very
important prayer that Jesus uses to teach us to users,

(35:57):
to teach his disciples how to pray. But who would
have ever thought that the Lord's Prayer could be used
as a prayer for us to relieve ourselves from debt,
from spiritual debt. So I want us to look at

(36:21):
a certain word that I'm going to place in the comments,
and I want you to be able to decipher this
and take this on for yourself. Okay. So we're gonna
look at the word debt, okay, and I'm going to

(36:41):
put it in the comments, and I want you to
be able to look at it for yourself. Okay, debt.
I want you to be able to see that for yourself, debt. Okay,
here we go. I'm gonna put it in the comments
on so you'll be live streaming it via faith book.
You'll be able to live stream it via YouTube. If

(37:04):
you're watching this, you'll be able to see it right
then and there. Debt. Debt is in fact a now
and it typically deals with money that is old or
do debt, something typically money that is old or do

(37:33):
I want to offer this level of understanding. Think about
the number of times that you see in in a day.
Don't write it down because I don't want you to blush. Hey,

(37:56):
we'll be here all day. Write a book, Hey, and listen.
I'll just be honest with you, because because I'll break
the Internet with mine. I even feel like I'll break
the Internet with mind. But just think about the number
of times that you're sin. Write that bad boy down,

(38:18):
and I want you to look at that as debt,
something that is own you, it is due from you, something.
I want you to look at sin as debt or

(38:44):
a loan from the devil. That's the way I want
you to look at that. I want you I want
you to look at it that way. That's how I
want you to look at that thing. That's how I
want you to look at look at sin as a
debt or a loan from the enemy. Now, Jesus said

(39:10):
that if you ask for forgiveness for me, I wipe
it clean. Interesting, Jesus said that if you are asked
for forgiveness, he'll wipe it clean. Is that right? Jesus

(39:36):
even gave an example that if you ask for ask
for forgiveness, you're able to ask for it seventy seven
times seven, No, seventy times seven, So seventy time seven,
So seven time seven is forty nine at a zero.

(39:59):
That's so four hundred and ninety times you can ask.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
For forgetness four hundred and ninety times in the day.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Four hundred ninety times in a day. You can wipe
yourself clean from your sin. Now, I want that risk
for it, and the Bible debt is to find it
something that is old, such as money, good services. It

(40:41):
can also refer to opplication. Yes, that is exactly Correctsandra Ba,
that is exactly correct. Now I want you to look
at sin. I want you to look at sin as
a debt or a loan from the devil. Jesus said,

(41:05):
if you ask for forgiveness, that I wipe that clean altogether,
that you ain't even got to worry about it no more.
You ain't even got to concern yourself about that sin
no more, because I have wiped it clean. Isn't that wonderful?

(41:28):
I ain't trying to preach to nobody.

Speaker 4 (41:31):
I ain't trying to prophesy of nobody. I ain't trying
to get nobody turned up on you this evening. But
isn't that just wonderful that through every situation that I
go through, every sin that I commit, whether it may

(41:53):
be by thought, word or deed, against the very divine
majesty of God, that I can go to my Father
and I can ask for forgiveness and He'll wipe my
slate clean.

Speaker 1 (42:08):
Every single time that Jesus will wash He will wash
my blood white as snow. That it don't even matter
about what you say about me. Jesus has wiped it clean.

(42:31):
Four hundred and ninety times, four hundred and ninety times.
You can ask for forgiveness throughout the day and God
said He'll wipe it clean. Isn't that awesome in that God?

Speaker 3 (42:49):
Now, I want you to think about that list. I
want you to think about that list. Good evening, good evening,
good evening, good evening. Thank you for joining us, everyone
who has hopped the board. I thank you so much
for joining us on our Sunday School.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
Live and on live. Just join into the party, to
join it, on into the party, all right, So four
hundred and ninety times, and I want you to think
about that list. Wow, seventy times seven. We can ask

(43:30):
for forgiveness from God and He'll wipe the slate clean.
We serve a God that is able. We serve a
God who is more than enough. We serve a Jesus
who is able to go to God on our behalf
and and and advocate for each and every one of us.

(43:56):
That is just that is just awesome. Yeah, that is
that is that is awesome, wonderful, wonderful. And if anybody
has any questions, uh, if anybody has any uh anything
they would like to, you know, uh, go over. Please
feel free to type it in the comments, whether you

(44:17):
may be watching this through Facebook or watching it via YouTube.
That's that's perfectly fine. Just uh just uh you know,
uh join just typing in right on there and help
us all out. And I thank you. I thank you
for uh every all all of your insight. I thank

(44:37):
you for all of it because we're in this thing
to grow together and I appreciate every single one of y'all. Okay,
So remember our sins, our debts to God, which we
the debtor is cannot pay. That's right. God is a
willing to wipe our slates clean. That's right. If we

(44:57):
humble ourselves before him. We ask forgiveness for our sins,
and by doing so we acknowledge that there is no
other way to get rid of sin, but through the
sacrifice of Jesus to Christ. When we forgive others, God
can see his own image reflected in us. As his children.
We must be willing to forgive, no matter the affront.

(45:21):
Jesus gives this example for us to follow, as he
was able to ask the follow to forgive those who
were crucifying him, and this was Luke chapter chapter twenty three,
verses thirty four. Now that is a great cross reference
for us to also look at. Thank you, our sister
Sondra Balin for doing that right there, for being very studious.

(45:45):
I like that because that's a great example for us
to look to, even with the Lord's Prayer, with the
model prayer, because in the model Prayer, Jesus teaches us
how to pray. So he didn't necessarily I say, I
want you to say every la stay, but this is
the way I want you to pray. Right, So if
you do pray this way, that's perfectly fine, But I
want you to pray like this. This is the prayer

(46:07):
that I want you to use. So in this we
have to be able to humble ourselves because we are
not perfect, we are not too high. Well, we can't
well our stuff don't stink. Some of us got some
some lives where they stay, and you got just ask

(46:27):
God for forgiveness and he'll wipe that stink out. It's
just that simple. He'll wipe the staink y'all can hashtag
that if you want. He'll wipe the stink. Y'all better
not do that. Y'all get me in trouble. Y'all gonna get.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
Ooo.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
Lord, we having some fun that I love it. I
love it. I love it. I love it, I love it.
We'all having some fun. So the first thing that we
talked about was number one, praying with security Matthew, chapter six,
versus five through six. Second thing we talked about was
the model prayer Matthew, Chapter six, verses seven through thirteen.

(47:11):
And the last thing that we're gonna talk about is
forgiveness in prayer Matthew, chapter six, verses fourteen through fifteen.
All Right, so now we're going to we got the
hashtag white the state that'll preach right there. Number three?

(47:33):
All right, God, yeah a hashtag white to state I'm
gonna I'm gonna use that one. I'm gonna use that
hashtag white to state all right. Number three forgiveness in
prayer Matthew Chapter six, Versus fourteen and through fifteen. For
if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will

(47:53):
also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others,
neither will your Father will forgive if your trespasses. The
concept of debt relief is intricately woven into the fabric
of this passage, mainly through the notion of forgiveness. In
the passage, debts refer to the financial obligations and moral failings.

(48:19):
The Greek term translated debt refers to the literal sense
of something old, sin or offense, illustrating in the Lord's
prayer the weight necessity of forgiveness in the Christian life.
Jesus emphasizes the importance of forgiveness, teaching his followers that

(48:42):
as they forgive others, their heavenly Father will also forgive
them in verse number fourteen. Conversely, their Father will not
forgive them if they do not forgive others in verse
number fifteen. The reciprocal nature of forgiveness is vital to
understanding the principle of debt relief. Just as God forgives believers,

(49:06):
they are called to extend that same forgiveness to others.
Let me read that again. The reciprocal nature of forgiveness
is vital to understanding the principle of debt relief. Just
as God forgives believers, they are called to extend that forgiveness,

(49:28):
that same forgiveness to others. I'm going to copy and
paste that one. Just as God forgives believers, they are
called to extend that same forgiveness to others. I'm gonna
put that one in the comments right there, just in

(49:49):
case if you want to save that in your notes.
The principle is foundational to Christian ethics and community life.
Forgiving others releases both defender and the offendant from the
resentment and bitterness, fostering healing and restoration. In the context
of spiritual debts and forgiveness, every person owes a debt

(50:11):
to God and do to sin. Sin separates humanity from God,
creating an insurmountable debt that cannot be paid by human
effort alone. However, through Christ's sacrificial death, believers are offered
are offered forgiveness and reconciliation with God, effectively having there

(50:36):
are spiritual debts white cling Christ's sacrifice on the Cross
fully pays the balance oled for sin and a practical
sense of deaths, debts and forgiveness. The Christian principle of
debt relief extends to financial obligations as well. The Bible

(50:57):
contains numerous teachings and emphasizing caring for the poor and
assisting those in financial distress. For example, in the Veticus
twenty five, the year of Jubilee is established, where debts
are forgiven and land is returned to its original owners.
This practice reflects God's desire for justice and mercy within

(51:21):
the community and highlights the church's responsibility to support those
with financial burdens. Christians are encouraged to act compassionately, helping
others find relief from their debts through charity, community assistance,
or advocacy for financial practices. That debt relief principle also

(51:47):
aligns with restorate of justice, which seeks to restore relationships
rather than punish wrongdoing. In a community built on forgiveness,
individuals can work toward reconciliation and healing, strengthening the bonds
of fellowship. The principle of debt relief encourages a spirit

(52:10):
of generosity in deeds and in responsiveness. When we recognize
the grace we have perceived, we are more likely to
extend that grace to others, whether through forgiving debts or
offering assistance to those in need in the sense of

(52:30):
debts as a relational as a relational offenses, we must
consider how a genuinely forgiven community operates. When a community
embodies the principle of debt relief, it creates an environment
where individuals feel safe to confess their failures and seek restoration.

(52:55):
Such an atmosphere encourages growth, accountability, and mutual support. By
forgiving others, individuals contribute to a healing in fractured relationships.
This is essential for any community as it fosters unity

(53:15):
and understanding. Forgiveness can break cycles of hurt and resentment,
enabling individuals to move forward together. So many Christians complain
of church hurt centered aroundhealed and unforgiven issues that occur

(53:37):
between Christians. Realizing Jesus's teaching in practice rather than in
reciting it, it may provide the type of reconciliation and renewal.
Many of us desperately seek. Forgiveness is at part of
our relationship with God and with others. In the model prayer,

(53:57):
Jesus reminds us that just as we seek God's forgiveness,
we are called to extend the same grace to those
who have wronged us. Holding on the grudges and refusing
to forgive can be a debt that weighs heavily on
our hearts, hindering our prayers and spiritual growth. But when

(54:18):
we choose to forgive, we release that burden and allign
ourselves with God's merciful nature. As we strive to live
out this life this challenging but vital command, we find
that forgiveness lightens the load, allowing us to walk more
freely in God's grace. Moreover, forgiveness reflects the character of God,

(54:42):
reminding us that God's love covers a multitude of sins,
including our own. It is a choice that requires humility
and courage, yet it opens the door to healing and reconciliation.

(55:03):
All of this is found in prayer, where we seek
God's help to forgive and receive the strength to live
in God's love and in the fullness of peace God
desires for us awesome, awesome, awesome, lesson, awesome, lesson great lesson, Ah,

(55:28):
too much debt? What a lesson? What a topic? Too
much debt? It is important that we be careful of
holding on to things that have affected us in such

(55:53):
a way that it changes the very understanding of fabric
of what God wants us to be in life. We
can't excuse me, We cannot afford to lose out on
the blessings that God has given us just because we

(56:14):
refuse to forgive. God has afforded us the opportunity every
day to forgive ourselves from the very sins that we
commit against ourselves and to each other. So it's very

(56:35):
important to love on one another as much as you can,
even though even though they may get on your everlasting nerd,
we still have to love them all right, all right,
So let's go ahead to our This is the end

(56:58):
of our Sunday school lesson. But let us go to
the remember it, share it, live it, and hear it.
Remember it. Jesus teaches us how and what to pray.
We should approach prayer with sincere motivation to grow our
relationship with Jesus not to impress others with self assumed holiness.

(57:22):
This runs the risk of making prayer, as well as
our individual and communal prayer lives, empty and pretensious. Whether
in public or in private, the heart of prayer is
directed to Jesus, not others. Jesus also teaches us what
to pray. The content of the Lord's Prayer, also called

(57:45):
the Model Prayer, is to make us more christ Like
and to make earth more like the Kingdom of God.
In it, we are reminded of what God desires of us,
including our relationship with Him and others, and of what
God desires for the world around us. All right, that was?

(58:06):
Remember it? Share it. Recite the Lord's Prayer alone or
with others daily this week. Listen to the words and
concentrate on the meaning. Consider an aspect of prayer. You
need to do better observe, and you need to better
observe in your life. Live it. If someone currently indebted

(58:31):
to you, prayerfully consider if the debt old needs to
be repaid. Can you afford to release them from the
debt that they owe you? Consider how freeing them of
this debt might be impactful to them as well as

(58:51):
how it made, how it might alleviate a burden from
you hear it. Take an inventory of community needs near
your church. Possibly diapers, food, or coats are needed. Share
this need with your pastor and church leaders. Provide these

(59:13):
needed items to the community to assist people with their
daily bread. And finally, get social. Start in online conversation
about sincere prayer. Share your views and tag us at
our Hboy d c O and use hashtag rh Boy

(59:35):
DC and don't forget about the hashtag Kingley Discussions podcast.
All right, this is the end of our Sunday School
listen on today if you would inspire his for the
closing prayer. As we go forth with our ending of

and tried throughout time that we may learn of more
of you and grow more and wisdom, knowledge and understanding
of your word. Thank you for getting rid of all
the distractions and distract of thoughts, that we have been
