All right, we are live outside of the bar. My gosh,
we are line of people waiting to get in for
some syndicated sports talk show that's apparently broadcasting live from here.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
They were here, so I got here about three forty. Okay.
Nobody likes a bragger, Nick, No, I'm just saying.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
There were three people here are four thirty, and I
brought you guys coffee and sidet.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Nobody likes the bragger.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I showed up at about four or fifteen, and I
did nothing, just say it was no help whatsoever.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Have the draft in Green Bay. They said it'll be fun.
They said as a thirty degrees.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Oh it's forty one on my phone. I mean, but
this is relatively okay for this time you're The station
is not bad. It's not unexpected. It's just that we're
in a tent with no sides and barely a heater.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
It's gonna be there's gonna be a slight issue when
the rain starts. From what it looks like Friday Thursday, Friday, Yes,
saw managing pondrels? Are we in I got, yeah, you
want poncho. They were clear Pontrel wouldn't just be funny
even though we don't need him to broadcast in poncho.
What if the wind is just well, okay, we have
been told that sides can easily be put up if
we need sides.

So okay, all right. He did offer to go make
wings too. Actually, Jenny, he said, well, so first thing
he goes, he goes, oh, does he need a diet
coke off the fountain, and I went, well, you may
or may not have heard, but I beat it as
I took a big sip of my diet coke and
I said, I don't think that's necessary. He goes, I
totally could. I've got the syrup. And then he goes,
I mean wings, and I'm like, for real, I'd be great, Yes,

let's do some wings.

Yeah, I'll play with that. I'm not gonna say no.
I'm not gonna say no to anything. Basically for the
remainder of the week. Just just say yes is what
they say. Just say yes, kind of like the U
the uh pat to pedal. Brian just look at me
and say yes. That was about something totally different, recreational

use and hookers. Remember pedal Brian, So pedal Brian probably
don't pedal Brian like legendary entertainment reporter. Is this entertainment tonight.
That's the first thing I thought at the time. Okay,
all of those voicemails got leaked. It was the one
to the exotic dancer who had just gotten done doing lines, and.

He looks and they were for those listening, they were
reading lines in a play. They were practicing lines together,
like when you're an actor sometimes you have to go
over lines.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It's called doo being line. I feel like I need
to give a little backstory because I do drop the
just look at me and say yes every once in
a while during the course of the show, and the
it's the if you know, you know kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Wow, that heater just got moved, Yeah she's moving. She
came great, and its okay, well it's blowing on me
perfectly now. But Pat O'Brian, so my crotches on fire.
That's animals that can't be associated with.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
That kind of antibiotics. So many times, so the pedal
Brian thing, which is gonna make this conversation better. His
voicemails were leaked to an exotic dancer with whom he
was engaged in activities, and it was then he was
just he just racked.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, and he was looking at her telling all the
things they were gonna do, and he goes, he goes,
just look at me, just come on, just look at
me and say yes, look at me, and.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Sounded exactly like beal juice. And well, Pad's got that baritone,
that deep, like awesome voice, and it's it's it's the
wrecked voice, and he's come on, just look at me
and say yes.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Just I'm gonna look at everybody and say yes, hey
you want to go here?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah, hey, you want to go that? He keeps looking
at me. You want to say?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
You guys want to head over to that tent. I'm
gonna get that. Sure, I'm gonna go ahead and say no,
we're gonna see my car.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Man.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
My car is like I've packed for a three day vacation.
So Nick is so funny.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
He's yesterday, He's like, I gotta bring my suit and
I gotta bring it like a travel suitcation. I go,
what for you live the closest of but I don't
intend to leave. Well that's what So I gathered it's
not that you have to, it's that you want to
do that.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
You don't have to live, okay entirely. And but although
I also think like like we're just I'm just gonna
be busy and it's gonna be awesome, Like we're gonna
have stuff to do and socials to do and players
to go and things to pick up intends to go
into and it's gonna be awesome, and I want allow
it too. Most of it, though, is dream big. Most
of it is just the comfort in finding a spot,

sitting in that spot, leaving the vehicle, and having everything there.
Because the thought process of driving across town one way
to get acrosstown the other way and then help you
find out. It's just more of a like, all right,
I'm just gonna packt like a vacation and every time,
just tonight, I mean like tonight we're gonna be going
downtown for the taste of the draft event. It's gonna
take a little bit to get there even from here,

and with parking and all that other stuff, I figure
we need to leave if I were even still here
three fifteen, three thirty ish, to get down and get comfortable,
get partdo and walk to strive.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
You always texting and onnas has no legs to stand
on for packing stuff in a car, car, shoes, back up, sleep,
apnea mask by the way, with the car right over there.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Because I I mean, I parked it six blocks away.

But I should go get all of those things that
lay about so you can see I'm not lying.

They're all we believe you at no point where we
like he must be lying, because who would make that up.

I also have a bunch of stuff from Costco in.

The back that I haven't taken.

That is where you lose all of the credibility of
the heaven is when you won't remove paper towels because

I'll go to my car and get them.

On Holme Greandway actually kicked off the NFL Draft officially
yesterday with Nick at Valley Viewed. It was awesome. It
was awesome.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Jen Youth, which is it's an it's an NFL charity,
so it was all created through the NFL. And they
do hundreds and hundreds.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I want to say thousands and thousands, but I don't
have that fact, so I'll just say hundreds and hundreds.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Say thousands, sort of like the McDonald's sign. I mean
to say millions, yeah, and billions served as Aberger's.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Every single human being has benefited from this fund, according
to Nick.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Well, I mean essentially in the sense that their mission
they work with NFL, they work with NFL flag in schools,
and they work with all of the area communities at
which they do these events throughout the course of the year.
So it's not just this. This is their first ever
taste to the draft event, massive fundraiser.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Because they usually do this with the super Bowl. Taste
of the Super Bowl. You've probably seen. Yeah, they always
show us little clips of these these high fluted chefs
from the Food Network, and they're always cooking all these
great meals.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
And Adam Carlo is there. I was really I saw
pictures of Carla. Yes, she's one of our favorites.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Yes, I wanted Nick to tell her that I watched
every episode of the Chew and only coached one thing
the entire time, only cooked.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
But I just kept coming back. Good for you.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Well, she's had to be there tonight, yeah, at the event,
so yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
It's so in conjunction with this the taste of the
Draft event and their first ever taste of the draft.
They rolled into town, hooked up with Valley View Elementary
School in a Schwabana, which is literally in the shadow
of lambeau Field. It is three blocks away. It is
the school one of several that shut down on a
game day, so a Thursday and Monday, it's early release.

(08:36):
Can't get the buses in, it's wild, it's anarchy. Plus
that parking is you know, it's pretty valuable. Well, especially
for this event. Let's be honest, rolled in there and
brought the whole house. So they brought their board of directors,
brought everybody from Food Network who's associated with them on
their board, like Carla, brought in the NFL Flag and
School Program, which was incredible, Coach Mike Daniels absolutely awesome

and uh and and then brought all of them to
the school to kick off massive Peprelli to kick off
not only NFL Draft Week.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
But their event tonight.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Their entire mission is basically dedicating their lives to making
sure that no child goes hungry, so building the future
where no child goes hungry, and the funds that they
raise then are distributed locally, So ninety Wisconsin schools are
going to benefit from the funds from the Taste of
the Draft, including val including Valley View, and that goes
to not only what's going to transform their meal program

(09:29):
with gram and go areas and all this different stuff,
but things for the kitchen equipment for the kitchen, money
for initiatives, Flag in School program, which then fifty kids
got chosen to play flag football and it was absolutely awesome,
just a great event and a really really exciting kickoff
to the entire week.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
And then their event tonight is going to be massive. Yeah,
So if you're going taste of the Draft tonight kind
of a hoity toy dy exclusive, but it's really a
neat event because they bring all of these Wisconsins supper
clubs and restaurants to get other and then with these
Food Network chefs, uh, they serve a bunch of different
awesome wisconsinant foods and then they raise money again to

give to this project, which I think is just super awesome.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Carlo was was everything you wanted Carla to be, Yeah,
and totally natural. I stood next to her for about
two minutes, just kind of fan boying out where she's
because I was waiting for the opportune No, I wasn't
that guy. It was waiting for the right opportunity because
they're incredibly well organized and structured, and so she's talking
to people their interviews that she's doing and and it's
it's awesome. And there was about a two minute stretch

before the event started and I was just standing about
three feet away from her, and I was there practice
seing You're like, Hi, I'm Nick.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Hi, I am Nick Fortrono with any fact him totally
but Toronto you might know my brother is No.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
I was trying to read the room to figure out
what's the best way to say hello to her, like
is she preoccupied right now? And so I get just
kind of stood there and I looked over it, and
I go excuse me, and she goes yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
I go, I am Nick and she goes, hi, I'm Carl,
and I go, I'm well owerre of who you are
big fans.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Oh, And I go so okay, sweet, now that's sweet.
And I just said I I just was really excited
to meet you. I hope that's all right, and she goes, oh,
my gosh, yes, and then she goes, I just what
would you run?

Speaker 2 (11:14):
She said no, I would have just gone thank you
for your telling.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
You would have just been like, you know, it's not
all right?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
It was.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
It was great. You're not going to ask for a picture,
are you? So then she she was like, so who
are you with? And I said, I'm with ninety five
nine kiss FM and I'm kind of em seeing and
kicking off stuff here and she was like, oh, this
is I love ash whobbing on and she and she
was so genuine. You have to know her personality. And
she goes, I do I love I love this I

love this community.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
This school is adorable, And I go, yeah, it's great.
And I started kind of telling her a little bit
of the history of how how this whole area, the
association with the team, how I go this this school
in particular.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I said, is awesome. Obviously, Lambo's right down the road,
and I go on Thursdays on Mondays.

Speaker 6 (11:59):
Ago.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
We killed for that schedule because we shut down early
because traffic tailgaming can't get in. She goes, I just
I love I am in love with this place. And
she looked up at the fight song and she goes, yes, fight.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
She was.

She was just incredible AND's so gracious and kind and
was that way with everybody.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
As you watch her kind of work the room, that's
just who she is. It was absolutely awesome. The grabbed it,
grabbed a picture with her quickly and they went to
out of town supper club last night.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Oh I wanted to go there just because. Yeah, she goes,
she goes to supper club. She goes, tell me about
the supper club. I have to do a supper club.
And I go, oh, yeah, you have to do a
supper club. And she goes, We're going someplace out of
town or something like that. I go, are you going
out of town or are you going to out of
town supper club and she goes that one. Then I'm like, yeah,
oh my gosh, you're gonna love it. So it was

just really fun to visit with her, and she loved,
loved the city, had just kind of rolled in and
was super excited to be a part of it. Live

Let's talk Bucks. Why, because that's I'm tired. I'm tired.

I'm tired of being a Bucks fan right now because
that was that was horrendous. That was horrendous yesterday and
we played for about six minutes and the.

Thankfully it wasn't embarrassing. I will say this though, here's
here's the positive hope I have.

We showed that we can actually play against them the
last quarter, so if we can maybe start the first
quarter more. I don't think in this entire series we've

He's the only one besides Giannis who showed up yesterday.

was born. President Theodore Roosevelt signed an act creating it.
Originally established to call medical officers into active duty and
an emergency that it was expanded to other soldiers about
four years later.

then Howard her and my dad met, and then a

both of us being born, then me going through type
one diabetes, Herbie and diagnosed with cancer, remarrying Joe, moving.

with her humor and her style, and I love it
and it's so sweet. And I was telling my son

of dough as they make the batch for you know,

it's buttered, and like, yeah, that's they do that. Mike's too.

There is so much competition in the Kringle world. It's hysterical.
But it's essentially the dough rolled out, it proofs and
then you put alternating layers of butter and dough. It's folded,
then rolled, folded, rolled, and it creates a little bit
of air and a ton of that buttery, smooth flakiness. Yeah,

and then then it's filled. Pick your filling, like like
you said, almost like a doughnut. Pick your filling and
just what ever you want to shove in there, savory suite.
It's famous so as a fundraiser for the Salvation Army
when Uncle Mike's and by the way, Racine can say
whatever they want, but Uncle Mike's wins best Kringle in
North America. Yeah, they got it, they want it. It's
already theirs.

read a book? Because a third of us I read

in high school, graduated live you know, a mile from
the stadium. So I have seen this grow throughout my life.
And what's happened here, the transformation, title town, you know,
the Rush Expo, the whole area really has just such
an amazing vibe, such a different feeling than it did.

You know. But I still think that that original kind
of just the hardcore Packers fans and who we are,
that is authentic, and I that I think people are
gonna are gonna see they're gonna feel that, right, we say,
you know, Midwest nice, Wisconsin nice, Green Bay nice, And
I think that people are really going to experience.

And the fact that we're kicking everything off today at
a city field is really kind of part of what
you're talking about is we take this very seriously here.
We don't screw around with history and tradition, and it's
super important to us and we're just happy you get
to be here to witness it with us.

of the interviews that you get a chance to do
and you connect with with different people, and they want
you to talk about Green Bay leading up to the draft,
And overwhelmingly the number of stations are individuals that I'd
talked to, and I would say, I don't think you
guys understand what it is here. So you can stay
forty five minutes away from here and it's still less

than what you guys drop to go to a game
right on a Sunday. I don't think you're going to
fully grasp until you get here that you're gonna drive
down a residential street and run into the most historic
mecca in all of sports. I don't think you totally
get that. You can park your car three blocks away
and walk to the draft, to everything. You're going to
literally be able to set your car down feet from

everything that's going on and walk everywhere. Restaurants, hotels, draft experience,
the draft, theater, the bands.

Everything in a year's gonna have a blast because everybody
is so night. We're all so excited this is happening,
and that's what's so cool. I think about this area
and it's like this worry of like can you contain
all the people? Yeah, dude, we got room.

We got nothing but room, and we're kind of spoiled
because you know, we're like get everywhere in fifteen minutes, right,
So a lot of people are coming from out of state.

You know, are our fear of like where are we
gonna park? You know that's three blocks away?

Oh and if you park in the neighbor you know
some of those the homes they open up their bathrooms
for you.

See you're looking at one right now. There's port of
bodies there everywhere. No it was wild. I was. I
was on a station in Texas and the guy goes, so, like,
how far is it from parking? And there was this
awkward pause and I go it's across the street. And
he goes, well, how much does it cost. I'm like,
it's like fifty bucks and he goes what and I
go yeah, and he goes like for like an hour,

and I don't know you you just part, you park
and then you walk in. I'm like, I don't And
it was funny, exactly what you say.

We have this anxiety like you're gonna go over one
seventy two and these people are gonna be like, do
you only have to drive ten minutes? Wait till you
see our drink prices. You're gonna be like, are you
kidding me? I'll take six.

That's another tip we do here too. When you had
too much liquor, you switch to beer. Yeah, you do,
switch to beer? Something light? Yeah, get yourself on the
miller line of butt like whatever it is, you know, switch.

you've got tonight, You've got the draft, the music festival,
Light Memorial Park, got the fireworks, and then tomorrow everything.

Kicks off twelve noon sort of the party begins for
the general public in terms of the draft experience opening,
and there's no reason why you can't just come down
and experience the city, so to speak, before that, but
twelve noon is kind of the official all right, public, open,
open the doors and let the flood gates.

It's funny because I just saw waitress walk by and
she has like six cocktails, and I thought, you know,
