Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's otis, Katie and Nick at the bar on Home
Grown Way for the Draft with ninety five nineism.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
All right, we are live outside of the bar. My gosh,
we are line of people waiting to get in for
some syndicated sports talk show that's apparently broadcasting live from here.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
They were here, so I got here about three forty. Okay.
Nobody likes a bragger, Nick, No, I'm just saying.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
There were three people here are four thirty, and I
brought you guys coffee and sidet.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Nobody likes the bragger.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
I showed up at about four or fifteen, and I
did nothing, just say it was no help whatsoever.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Have the draft in Green Bay. They said it'll be fun.
They said as a thirty degrees.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Oh it's forty one on my phone. I mean, but
this is relatively okay for this time you're The station
is not bad. It's not unexpected. It's just that we're
in a tent with no sides and barely a heater.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
It's gonna be there's gonna be a slight issue when
the rain starts. From what it looks like Friday Thursday, Friday, Yes,
saw managing pondrels? Are we in I got, yeah, you
want poncho. They were clear Pontrel wouldn't just be funny
even though we don't need him to broadcast in poncho.
What if the wind is just well, okay, we have
been told that sides can easily be put up if
we need sides.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
So okay, all right. He did offer to go make
wings too. Actually, Jenny, he said, well, so first thing
he goes, he goes, oh, does he need a diet
coke off the fountain, and I went, well, you may
or may not have heard, but I beat it as
I took a big sip of my diet coke and
I said, I don't think that's necessary. He goes, I
totally could. I've got the syrup. And then he goes,
I mean wings, and I'm like, for real, I'd be great, Yes,
(01:32):
let's do some wings.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yeah, I'll play with that. I'm not gonna say no.
I'm not gonna say no to anything. Basically for the
remainder of the week. Just just say yes is what
they say. Just say yes, kind of like the U
the uh pat to pedal. Brian just look at me
and say yes. That was about something totally different, recreational
(01:55):
use and hookers. Remember pedal Brian, So pedal Brian probably
don't pedal Brian like legendary entertainment reporter. Is this entertainment tonight.
That's the first thing I thought at the time. Okay,
all of those voicemails got leaked. It was the one
to the exotic dancer who had just gotten done doing lines, and.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
He looks and they were for those listening, they were
reading lines in a play. They were practicing lines together,
like when you're an actor sometimes you have to go
over lines.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
It's called doo being line. I feel like I need
to give a little backstory because I do drop the
just look at me and say yes every once in
a while during the course of the show, and the
it's the if you know, you know kind of thing.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Wow, that heater just got moved, Yeah she's moving. She
came great, and its okay, well it's blowing on me
perfectly now. But Pat O'Brian, so my crotches on fire.
That's animals that can't be associated with.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
That kind of antibiotics. So many times, so the pedal
Brian thing, which is gonna make this conversation better. His
voicemails were leaked to an exotic dancer with whom he
was engaged in activities, and it was then he was
just he just racked.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, and he was looking at her telling all the
things they were gonna do, and he goes, he goes,
just look at me, just come on, just look at
me and say yes, look at me, and.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Sounded exactly like beal juice. And well, Pad's got that baritone,
that deep, like awesome voice, and it's it's it's the
wrecked voice, and he's come on, just look at me
and say yes.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Just I'm gonna look at everybody and say yes, hey
you want to go here?
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah, hey, you want to go that? He keeps looking
at me. You want to say?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
You guys want to head over to that tent. I'm
gonna get that. Sure, I'm gonna go ahead and say no,
we're gonna see my car.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
Man.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
My car is like I've packed for a three day vacation.
So Nick is so funny.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
He's yesterday, He's like, I gotta bring my suit and
I gotta bring it like a travel suitcation. I go,
what for you live the closest of but I don't
intend to leave. Well that's what So I gathered it's
not that you have to, it's that you want to
do that.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
You don't have to live, okay entirely. And but although
I also think like like we're just I'm just gonna
be busy and it's gonna be awesome, Like we're gonna
have stuff to do and socials to do and players
to go and things to pick up intends to go
into and it's gonna be awesome, and I want allow
it too. Most of it, though, is dream big. Most
of it is just the comfort in finding a spot,
(04:29):
sitting in that spot, leaving the vehicle, and having everything there.
Because the thought process of driving across town one way
to get acrosstown the other way and then help you
find out. It's just more of a like, all right,
I'm just gonna packt like a vacation and every time,
just tonight, I mean like tonight we're gonna be going
downtown for the taste of the draft event. It's gonna
take a little bit to get there even from here,
(04:50):
and with parking and all that other stuff, I figure
we need to leave if I were even still here
three fifteen, three thirty ish, to get down and get comfortable,
get partdo and walk to strive.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
You always texting and onnas has no legs to stand
on for packing stuff in a car, car, shoes, back up, sleep,
apnea mask by the way, with the car right over there.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Because I I mean, I parked it six blocks away.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
But I should go get all of those things that
lay about so you can see I'm not lying.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
They're all we believe you at no point where we
like he must be lying, because who would make that up.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
I also have a bunch of stuff from Costco in.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
The back that I haven't taken.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Ye.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
What blows my mind that one.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
That is where you lose all of the credibility of
the heaven is when you won't remove paper towels because
you know.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Because you can't, you know them down the basement step.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Well, it's just I'll eventually need them. With what I do,
I'll go to my car and get them.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
He don't spup for me. It makes sense to me.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Well, and that's all it has. I don't I don't
drive your car, I don't ride in your car, so
it doesn't have to make sense to me.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
I'm not judging you one bit more of a Absolutely,
I'm even lazy. Just is lazy and even I'm judging that.
Speaker 2 (05:54):

On Holme Greandway actually kicked off the NFL Draft officially
yesterday with Nick at Valley Viewed. It was awesome. It
was awesome.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Jen Youth, which is it's an it's an NFL charity,
so it was all created through the NFL. And they
do hundreds and hundreds.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
I want to say thousands and thousands, but I don't
have that fact, so I'll just say hundreds and hundreds.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Say thousands, sort of like the McDonald's sign. I mean
to say millions, yeah, and billions served as Aberger's.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Every single human being has benefited from this fund, according
to Nick.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Well, I mean essentially in the sense that their mission
they work with NFL, they work with NFL flag in schools,
and they work with all of the area communities at
which they do these events throughout the course of the year.
So it's not just this. This is their first ever
taste to the draft event, massive fundraiser.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Because they usually do this with the super Bowl. Taste
of the Super Bowl. You've probably seen. Yeah, they always
show us little clips of these these high fluted chefs
from the Food Network, and they're always cooking all these
great meals.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
And Adam Carlo is there. I was really I saw
pictures of Carla. Yes, she's one of our favorites.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
Yes, I wanted Nick to tell her that I watched
every episode of the Chew and only coached one thing
the entire time, only cooked.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
But I just kept coming back. Good for you.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Well, she's had to be there tonight, yeah, at the event,
so yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
It's so in conjunction with this the taste of the
Draft event and their first ever taste of the draft.
They rolled into town, hooked up with Valley View Elementary
School in a Schwabana, which is literally in the shadow
of lambeau Field. It is three blocks away. It is
the school one of several that shut down on a
game day, so a Thursday and Monday, it's early release.
(08:36):
Can't get the buses in, it's wild, it's anarchy. Plus
that parking is you know, it's pretty valuable. Well, especially
for this event. Let's be honest, rolled in there and
brought the whole house. So they brought their board of directors,
brought everybody from Food Network who's associated with them on
their board, like Carla, brought in the NFL Flag and
School Program, which was incredible, Coach Mike Daniels absolutely awesome
(08:57):
and uh and and then brought all of them to
the school to kick off massive Peprelli to kick off
not only NFL Draft Week.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
But their event tonight.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Their entire mission is basically dedicating their lives to making
sure that no child goes hungry, so building the future
where no child goes hungry, and the funds that they
raise then are distributed locally, So ninety Wisconsin schools are
going to benefit from the funds from the Taste of
the Draft, including val including Valley View, and that goes
to not only what's going to transform their meal program
(09:29):
with gram and go areas and all this different stuff,
but things for the kitchen equipment for the kitchen, money
for initiatives, Flag in School program, which then fifty kids
got chosen to play flag football and it was absolutely awesome,
just a great event and a really really exciting kickoff
to the entire week.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
And then their event tonight is going to be massive. Yeah,
So if you're going taste of the Draft tonight kind
of a hoity toy dy exclusive, but it's really a
neat event because they bring all of these Wisconsins supper
clubs and restaurants to get other and then with these
Food Network chefs, uh, they serve a bunch of different
awesome wisconsinant foods and then they raise money again to
(10:07):
give to this project, which I think is just super awesome.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Carlo was was everything you wanted Carla to be, Yeah,
and totally natural. I stood next to her for about
two minutes, just kind of fan boying out where she's
because I was waiting for the opportune No, I wasn't
that guy. It was waiting for the right opportunity because
they're incredibly well organized and structured, and so she's talking
to people their interviews that she's doing and and it's
it's awesome. And there was about a two minute stretch
(10:33):
before the event started and I was just standing about
three feet away from her, and I was there practice
seing You're like, Hi, I'm Nick.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Hi, I am Nick Fortrono with any fact him totally
but Toronto you might know my brother is No.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
I was trying to read the room to figure out
what's the best way to say hello to her, like
is she preoccupied right now? And so I get just
kind of stood there and I looked over it, and
I go excuse me, and she goes yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
I go, I am Nick and she goes, hi, I'm Carl,
and I go, I'm well owerre of who you are
big fans.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Oh, And I go so okay, sweet, now that's sweet.
And I just said I I just was really excited
to meet you. I hope that's all right, and she goes, oh,
my gosh, yes, and then she goes, I just what
would you run?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
She said no, I would have just gone thank you
for your telling.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
You would have just been like, you know, it's not
all right?
Speaker 2 (11:20):
It was.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
It was great. You're not going to ask for a picture,
are you? So then she she was like, so who
are you with? And I said, I'm with ninety five
nine kiss FM and I'm kind of em seeing and
kicking off stuff here and she was like, oh, this
is I love ash whobbing on and she and she
was so genuine. You have to know her personality. And
she goes, I do I love I love this I
(11:42):
love this community.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
This school is adorable, And I go, yeah, it's great.
And I started kind of telling her a little bit
of the history of how how this whole area, the
association with the team, how I go this this school
in particular.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
I said, is awesome. Obviously, Lambo's right down the road,
and I go on Thursdays on Mondays.
Speaker 6 (11:59):
Ago.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
We killed for that schedule because we shut down early
because traffic tailgaming can't get in. She goes, I just
I love I am in love with this place. And
she looked up at the fight song and she goes, yes, fight.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
She was.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
She was just incredible AND's so gracious and kind and
was that way with everybody.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
As you watch her kind of work the room, that's
just who she is. It was absolutely awesome. The grabbed it,
grabbed a picture with her quickly and they went to
out of town supper club last night.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Oh I wanted to go there just because. Yeah, she goes,
she goes to supper club. She goes, tell me about
the supper club. I have to do a supper club.
And I go, oh, yeah, you have to do a
supper club. And she goes, We're going someplace out of
town or something like that. I go, are you going
out of town or are you going to out of
town supper club and she goes that one. Then I'm like, yeah,
oh my gosh, you're gonna love it. So it was
(12:48):
just really fun to visit with her, and she loved,
loved the city, had just kind of rolled in and
was super excited to be a part of it. Live
at the bar on homegard Way for the NFL Draft.
Let's talk Bucks. Why, because that's I'm tired. I'm tired.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
I'm tired of being a Bucks fan right now because
that was that was horrendous. That was horrendous yesterday and
we played for about six minutes and the.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Thankfully it wasn't embarrassing. I will say this though, here's
here's the positive hope I have.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
We showed that we can actually play against them the
last quarter, so if we can maybe start the first
quarter more. I don't think in this entire series we've
led once have we.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
Don't. I don't think we have think don't games all
you Lopez haters eat it.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
He's the only one besides Giannis who showed up yesterday.
Kuzma showed up at the end and I was like, oh,
that was nice to see.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Yes, I need.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
Yes, here's my question though, and I hate being this
person and because I'm usually not refs, what is happening like?
That was a very heavy Indiana reffing crew. It was
awful the amount of ridiculous fouls called against us and
(14:15):
nothing called against them.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Everybody's get real roll chippy.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
There were some brawl there were some bench clearing, potential brawls.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
That happens every time with Indiana. Yeah, well that is
that's their that's their mo that's what they do to
the bucks. They just kind of they they sort of
aggressively get into their head.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
They've done it all you either.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
And look, I'm really struggling with something right now. Really struggling.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Is getting married.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
No, he's already married.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
He has a child, right Well listen, I heard it
was falling. Yes, those things don't work, Okay, you could
still hope.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
I heard they're staying together just for the baby. It's Tyres.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
It really really want to cheer for you, I really do,
because you have a Wisconsin connection. We followed your career
in Oshkosh. But but can we take the chippiness down
a not.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
He's one of the biggest instigators.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
I know, I know, and that's what gets me mad
and I And I'm sure everybody's like, oh, you love
it when Bobby does it, everything like that.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
I don't love it when Bobby does it. I don't
at all. And I don't know.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
I feel like Terres in five years, let's have this conversation.
But it's like you're you're trying to go nose to
nose with Giannis like I in chippiness, like not ability
anything like that. And I was actually stamputating with Dylan
last night and Dylan was like, the part that frustrates
me about Tyree, Sorry, I'm throwing you under the bus,
Dylan is that when they're losing, he's real quiet, like
(15:38):
like he's he's real like tail between his leg. So
then it's kind of like you got to own it
the entire time or just not. And because then I
go back to the hole stealing the ball, and now
I'm like, like, were you doing a jerkey thing with
the stolen ball? You were trying to pretend like you
didn't know, but but then when I see you do
(15:58):
that on the court, I'm going, maybe you did know.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
And it just really frustrates me because I.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Want to think that you're Ashcrashen you're perfect, that you're
absolutely perfect, And I'm sorry that I put that expectation
on here.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
No, you're okay. Your team, you're you have an allegiance
to the team. Yes, it's which is very contrary the
way the NBA especially is yeah, which is very player specific.
You align yourself with a player and then you cheer
for that player, not necessarily the team.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
You're you're just that's okay. So after the game, you
can go and you can shake Teresa's hand.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
And so I'm really hoping though that Friday we turn
it around and this isn't a complete, just.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Embarrassing game, is Friday?
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Man?
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Sorry, one more thing, Bob the Builder, could you set
your butt down?
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Did you see Bob the Builder? Oh my, this man
looked like Bob the Builder. Yeah, in the front row,
and he.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Had a nice little sign that was counting off Jiannie's
free throws. And it was just so it was awful,
Like it was you're mean. You're not like funny, you're mean. Well,
you're mean. Like I loved the guy in the series
that we when we won the championship or the finals.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
I loved the guy that had the cash. Cash was great.
That was fantastic.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
I can't even remember which team he was on, but
Bob the Builder, No, you can't.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Sit down, Bob. Well, here's the good news. You can't
win bucks and six if you don't lose two. That's right.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Here we go, fourth straight Live at the bar homegren
Way NFL Draft. It's Otis, Katie and Nick with Kiss FM.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
It's Otis Katie and Nick at the bar on holmegren
Way for the Draft with ninety five nine kiss M.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
We are live right outside of the bar on homegren
Way morning.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
There's a line for what's Dan Patrick? I believe or something? Yes,
that's a line for us. Yes, waiting for mixers. I
gotta I hope they bring some more energy for Dan.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Yeah, because they're they're right now, they're kind of soud.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
You know what, the most cheering has been for us.
We did it.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
We know somebody to get a go pat, go goon.
And they're all looking at this and I go, I
bet if Dan Patrick they got And I was like,
come on, I think somebody. Eight is April twenty third.
It was on this day that the word hill billy
was first used in a newspaper. In an article in
the New York Journal was like this. Yep, they spelled
(18:13):
it b I l I E. So it was like
hill Billie eilish.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Did they also high five each other? Why were they
high five each other? Because this is.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
A ridiculous thing to claim that this is the first
time it's ever been Well, I believe that this was
the first time it's ever been used. But why would
you be like this is so memorable that we have
to remember the exact day.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Well, and what's the difference between did they need a
new word?
Speaker 5 (18:38):
Like?
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Did do we not have redneck at that?
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Like, yeah, there is a difference rednecks where beer logo
t shirts they cruise in their camaros. The difference. Yeah,
Hillbilly's like wearing overalls, no T shirt underneath. They drink
moonshine and they like stage potato sa potato sack races.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
That's a heat situation.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Oh my gosh, I've been misusing hill Billy all these Yeah,
I'm so sorry, hill Billy.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
I'm gonna say this was eighteen ninety one. I'm gonna
say pre Civil War. We're eighteen fifty. I do feel
like it was very little house in the prairie days,
and that could Wow, that could be. But yeah, that's
a prairie, not a hill. Yeah, that's a prairie billy.
Nineteen hundred is when that happened. Nineteen hundred. What do
(19:22):
you think a prairie billy would be? Is that even
a thing? It's a thing. I wasn't making a thing.
Today was the day.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
It was the first pick of the NFL Draft, the
Dallas Cowboys selected UCLA quarterback Troy Aikman. Oh, I'll let
him know a couple of Super Bowls played for the
Cowboys until he retired in two thousand.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
He was, okay, let's go in nineteen eighty five.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
If you're into that kind of thing, yeah, I mean,
if that's if waiting quarterbacks is something that's important to you.
I mean he was all right, eighty eight. That was
in eighty nine, eighty nine.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
You're better than that, Yeah, it's the It sucks. I
don't think you're better than that at all. That bothers me.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
That was a big deal.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
You're worse than that. How do you not know that? Now?
That's right at the NFL Draft. That's embarrassing. Some homework
in front of all of Damn Patrick's fans. Yeah, it's
like twenty six of them. This is embarrassing.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Anyways, Today was the day that the US Army Reserve
was born. President Theodore Roosevelt signed an act creating it.
Originally established to call medical officers into active duty and
an emergency that it was expanded to other soldiers about
four years later.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Theose So it's the birth day.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Yeah, and that should help when you say Roosevelt, it
should help. I'm so glad I don't have to guess
these dates because it wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Help me at all. Really. And then like Theodore Roosevelt
or frame.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Plenty, don't you wish you had your ruler with all
the presidents on my bank ruler?
Speaker 3 (20:48):
That would at least help you get you in the
general area. Yeah, that would give me a least minimum
four your window. Theodore Roosevelt was big on the National Parks,
you was sure was early nineteen hundred. It was because
we have Teddy Bears.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Yeah, Teddy Bears exist in that name because of theatore.
Thank you, Teddy.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
It's a awkward that he slept with it all those
but whatever, he didn't really do with it. But Roosevelt
was a little creeped out. But nineteen nineteen, nineteen ten,
nineteen oh eight.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
Does anybody else want to go to the crowd and
go anybody here to say Leprecaun?
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Say? Yeah, what is that? Is that something I don't know?
Speaker 4 (21:25):
It's an amazing YouTube clip about the Leprechaun sightings.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
And then there was an amateur sketch of the Leprechaun
and it was literally a picture for like a six
year old Drew and it was a legit news broadcast.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
I'll show it to you. I looked amazing. Is this new?
No years ago ever had a legitimate news story. They
sent some poor dude out there to cover the Leprechaun story,
and you can tell how much he's given up by
the end of the story because he actually he describes
one of the many interviews as this guy this guy,
and he like didn't get a name.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Wow, totally they were in when they were interviewing. One
guy was like, I brought my magic flute.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Yes, and this guy yes.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
And then another interview is a woman in a card
she owes it's probably just a.
Speaker 4 (22:12):
Drug add Actually wuld have got into the wrong stuff.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Hey, real quick, I just saw on a text line
that we have somebody listening to us in line right now.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
But they don't want to come over and say hi.
You don't know if they don't want to or if
they can't.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
They well, they said they can't, But could I think
you're good, you could get back. You're gonna.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
I feel like everyone will boo him. Yeah, but oh,
come on.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
If he went over and we said can he come
over and say hi, they will say mine skipper?
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Yeah, can can hear? Or she give us a sign?
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
I mean Dan, Dan, I mean I could just start
yelling Dan, Dan, start.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Waving like work to start screaming. Anyways, did I say
it was nineteen oh eight?
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Today was the day Wrigley Field opened in Chicago, oh
first team was the Chicago Whales now defunct Federal League Cups,
played their first game there a couple of years later,
after the Whales folded nineteen twenty six nineteen thirteen.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Did it ruin it by putting lights in? No? No,
it is because they were so the only thing it
did was make baseball quote unquote purists all angry, and
yet they're Undie's in a bunch like you can't do lights?
So is the best thing about Ray, and it's like, okay,
well get out of the new road if you can't
lend a hand. But here's the way at night, guys.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
And if I want to see a concert at Wrigley,
I want lights when I've done so I can get
out of there.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Man, it was Vic on that l train.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
It was like yeah, and like I'll be honest too,
Wrigley your scoreboard, it's time digitals, all right, come on,
like making that poor person sit out there in that
hot box and just swap off those tiles.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
You know.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
That guy got some sort of ovation when he walked out.
Oh yeah, who is it just much of the bathroom?
Speaker 3 (23:53):
I don't know. He's just coming out of the John. Yeah,
very it's important. He's fucking good, all right. He's got
a coffee, but he's not wearing a badge or anything.
He's I think he just went to the John. Wrigley
Field open. What what was your gun?
Speaker 6 (24:05):
Say?
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Thirteen?
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Nineteen fourteen? Oh, today was the day Hank Aaron hit
the first home run of his career. The first of
his careers are one of seven fifteen, Yeah, nineteen fifty won.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Five, nineteen fifty four.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
I'm that close.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Today was the day. Oh, Nick, you'll be happy to
hear this.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Today was the day Coca Cola announced it was changing
his secret flavor formula for coke and it introduced new Coke.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
I know how well that went over in the PA
Toronto Home nineteen eighty five.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Nineteen eighty five. Yeah, this mayem's ruined an entire vacation.
This Uh yeah, I mean I chose Coke. I wore
the gigantic button. Yeah, this is still I still go
back and forth on this whole situation with that there there.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Well, it keeps you up at night, Okay. I do
think about it though, because there are the two extremes,
and it is Coke who was petrified at the market
share and the growing market share of PEPSI decided to go,
we gotta do something, and they dumped their drawers and
they messed around with classic Coke or the other extreme
(25:19):
of They knew exactly what they were doing. They were
going to yank it, reintroduce it to tremendous fanfare, which
is exactly what happened. And I actually I'm not a
middle guy. I usually am a pretty pick one or
the other. I actually think both are true in this case.
I think they changed it and then they recognized the
error of their way. They did the right thing from
(25:41):
a business standpoint, and then benefited mightily. Oh yeah, from
a solid business decision which came on the heels of
a terrible business decision. Do you sometimes think that coke
two is potentially coke zero?
Speaker 7 (25:54):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (25:54):
No, because coke zero is the diet version of coke
that tastes like regular coke.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
That's what I mean. If it's the diet version of coke, mind,
my blood sugar would be sky hot.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
Well no, I'm saying, what if they took the formula
and made a diet figured it out? Yes?
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Mind blow? They sit on that that for long? It
was it a fake reinvention? Did they know what they
were doing?
Speaker 4 (26:18):
I am just baffled by why have they not brought
back the peanut butter crisps Peebee crisps, because there's not
cool I know that has.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
A negative thing to say about Chris the baby Crisp
wagon for decades. And while we're at a taco bell,
bring the Blackjack taco back, for the love of God, please.
That was nineteen eighty five. And then finally it was
on this day the very first YouTube video was posted.
It was a clip of one of the co founders
standing in front of elephants in the San Diego Zoo.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Michael Scott remembers this day very well. I wish I
could remember the episode where Michael Scott says this state
I'm gonna go two thousand and.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Five for one, it was two thousand and five. Job
Today is talk like Yeah, yeah, today's talk like Shakespeare Day.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
Oh gosh, why would you do this last pool?
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Yea? And so it Shelby as it is written. Notice day,
wherefore our enthusiasm, Catherine, No, no do? Today is Administrative
Professionals Day.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Oh okay, okay, thank you. It is also movie theater day. Oh,
last you saw in a theater? Have you seen one recently?
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Minecraft?
Speaker 3 (27:28):
Ohcraft? Last movie? Oh?
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Have you seen the Bob Dyllan movie? No, it's available
on demand?
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Now? Thought it together that? Yeah, you can come over
so afternoon.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
If you want.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
But I only have about thirty minutes so up to watch.
Like over the span of four days, I've heard good
things about it.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
My dad didn't like it that much. Your dad, he's
a big Dylan guy.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Oh yeah, So I mean it's not gonna stop me
from watching or no, but it will jade your opinion
of it a little bit, do know, because I'm still
in that range of childhood. I guess where you like
to prove your dad wrong. Yeah, so I'll be all right.
I wouldn't mind.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
I wouldn't mind being like, you're wrong, Papa, you're wrong.
We've got birthdays at anniversaries coming up nine two two
A one zero ninety five nine the Primi Vhydration and
Wellness studio line you could call our text. We are
live from the bar On home Runway for the NFL
Draft with ninety five to nine Kiss FM and now
six twenty four whby News on KISSFM with the landing more.
Speaker 7 (28:26):
Good morning. No one has heard in an Appleton fire cruse.
We're called to the residential community facility along the six
hundred block of North Division Street around twelve forty five
Tuesday morning on the report of smoke in the building.
The fire was contained to the second level. Officials say
working smoke detectors woke up the residents and and love
them to get out safely. The cause of that fire
is under investigation. An Oshkosh man who stabbed another person
(28:46):
to death. Reaches a plead with prosecutors. Sebastian Crossman is
convicted in Winnebago County Courts on a reduced count of
homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon. Crossman stabbed
another man to death outside an Oshkosh restaurant in August
of last year. He told police that he had been
in a long running feud with the victim. Crossman faces
up to ten years in prison, with sentenced on June
twenty third, and the final phase of bro closures round
(29:07):
label Field for this week's NFL Draft. It takes effect
today and includes homeground Way between Lombardi Avenue and Mike
McCarthy Wade Mike McCarthy between South and Nina Street and
Holmgren and Brett far Past Tony Kenneda Run between Holmgren
and Badger's State Grewing. The closures will remain in place
through Sunday.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
All right, we are live right outside of the bar
Home grin Way nine two two eight one zero ninety
five nine. For your birthdays and anniversaries, Kiss Concerts and Cash.
We'll have another winner at eight thirty this morning on Kiss.
So I saw a headline last then at one of
our local TV stations. Slightly misleading, and I just clicked
the link today because I sent it to myself. I
(29:41):
was like, oh, we got to talk about this. And
then I clicked the link and I went, well, that's
not quite true. So the headline was green Bay and
Appleton top one hundred cities in America. Oh yeah, okay,
Well when I saw that too, it's not it's just Appleton.
I don't know why we attached ourselves to it. Green
Bay didn't get nominated, No Appleton. Yeah, what was the story?
It was last year? Right, wasn't green Bay named the
(30:04):
best city in America?
Speaker 3 (30:05):
We were?
Speaker 2 (30:05):
This is from this one. Here is from liveability dot com.
They've been doing this annual list of the best places
to live in the US for over a decade. They
go over one hundred different data points, including you know, media,
I mean.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
Biased, but I totally agree with that the Valley is
the place to be.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
And they only look they only look at population cities
between seventy five thousand and five hundred, and then the
median home values under five hundred thousand dollars. So green
Bay did okay, but we didn't make the top one
hundred Apple, Tampleton, d Appleton did. Yeah, it actually showed
pretty strong. It doesn't give the actual ranking. I could
(30:39):
do the math, but I'm looking at it now. They
look like they're about twenty fifth. I was totally okay, yeah,
so but not bad. And again it was about that
at all. No, it's about the income, it's about the
cost of living, and it's about what there is to do,
plus a factor in traffic and things like that. But yeah, congratulations,
why green Bay got attached to it because the whole
article is about Yeah, that's a great question with the.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Draft coming and blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
And I'm like, yeah it, yeah, that's that's green Bay.
Appleton's the one that won. The only other Wisconsin city
to make the list.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
You say, Madison, I swear to God of course it did.
Are you kidding? Madison? Okay, lower than Appleton, though we
beat it. Yeah, yeah, I'll take that. Yeah, we'll take that. Yeah,
I will take that. We're I think we just attach
ourselves to the Interstate forty one corridor where we're becoming
one gigantic metropolitan area.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Well, if you think about it, So, the difference when
I lived in sun Prairie and high school, and the
difference between Sun Prairie and Madison used to be six
miles of country and now it's just one city.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Yeah, how long?
Speaker 2 (31:44):
Yeah, I would sell Wrightstown and Kakana connect and then
how long?
Speaker 3 (31:48):
Because we're getting.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
There, swallow you up, Freedom. But eventually will it just
be one long?
Speaker 3 (31:52):
I do think I already think it is. It's the valley.
It's getting closer.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
I think when you when you're gonna get the that
Google map and you're going to start to look at
it from overhead, it's just going to be one large
like everybody's in.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
But don't worry. We won't lose our identities of course.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Like a prime example though, if we're playing Kimberly or
a Little Shoot or Freedom, I will always want Coconna
to win. But if they're representing at the state tournament,
you bet your butt I'm going to own them.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yeah, Like I'm going to be like, oh, yeah, that's us,
that's us, that's us absolutely all right. Congratulations Appleton, you've
done it.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
Wait to go.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Congratulations Green Bay on somehow attaching yourself to Appleton's win.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
This long cool, all the things I'm so excited about
with the draft I think we are going to show
everybody a really good party. And I don't if people whatever,
wherever you're coming from and whatever your opinion or your
thoughts are, your preconceived notions about Northeast Wisconsin and how
we do stuff. Oh, I want to hear it. It's
going to be an incredible show of how we do things,
(32:52):
because we do it well.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
If you're visiting from out of town, I actually want
to know what your preconceived notions are. Nine to two
eight ones, he rode ninety five to nine. You can
text in. It's our primary v Hydration and wellness studio line.
We would love to know what your preconceived notions of
Draft week, Green Bay and this whole Northeast Wisconsin area
is what did you think you were in for and
(33:13):
what have you experienced so far?
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Because they'll throw it out almost like Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
When people go Cleveland, you're like, oh yeah, Cleveland.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Yeah, when you're be honest, it was an incredible city,
Philly exactly a little bit how we think that way
about other NFL cities. Yes, we'd love to know.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
This is ninety five nine Kiss FM birthdays anniversaries all
the way stamp.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Yeah, we are all over.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Actually this week gonna be at Fleet Farm Saturday eleven
to one at Farm Drive in Wappaka.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Come join us live. It is Draft week and we.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
Are live right now broadcasting outside of the bar home
Grown Way ninety five to nine.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
Kiss FM.
Speaker 6 (33:48):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
My name is Otis, Katie and Nick are here. We'd
love to see you. It is Wednesday, April twenty third,
two thousand and twenty five. If you have a birthday today,
you share it with Chloe kim Oh, snowboarder, Olympic gold
medal winner.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
Yeah, I mean twenty eight, Yeah, yeah, right in that
it's gonna be that mid to late two twenty six.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
So when you say it's always tough with Olympics Seria
Olympic winners, you mean older Olympic winners, right, it's some poise.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
A little more top of mind. Sure, but and I
don't know why why. I do know why this is.
But there's some of the finest athletes in the world
who are only on our radar every four years, right,
and yet they're competing year round. They're doing competitions. They're
a world champion, but we don't know it's international. But
it's for whatever reason unless you're watching ESPN nine. No,
it's very true, and especially in some of the extreme
(34:38):
sports like that, when the Olympics s pop around, then
they become top of mind.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
And then you're like, eh, every four years, and it's.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Really a disservice to them. They're competing constantly and they're
winning titles all the time. And Michelle Kwan is one
of the uh the biggest examples of it, one of
the greatest figure skaters in the history of the world,
but doesn't have an Olympic gold and for some reason
is treated like a mom that's too bad, and you're like, yeah,
she's incredible. She wont how many international championships, world championships,
(35:08):
she just didn't win that one. So I want to
say twenty twenty six, twenty five years cal Penn he is,
of course Harold and Kumar. He's Kumar and he was
on Designated Survivor as the White House Press Secretary Mayo
forty seven. He was on a house. He was on house, Yeah, yeah, yeah?
How long did he was he on house? Like two
(35:28):
or three seasons? Like long enough where you go like
Olivia Wilde, where you like, oh, that's long enough. Was
he Robin's boyfriend on How I Met Your Mother.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Oh, I don't know, was he I don't know. I
never I didn't watch that show.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
I like that show, and I was told I would
like that show. I told yeah. And you didn't like
Robin right.
Speaker 4 (35:47):
Did not like Robin? Don't spoiler alert He hands up
with Robin don't like that?
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Well, that just ruined it for me. I don't want
to watch it.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
Watch it now, it's not worth it. Uh yeah, forty seven,
I like he's forty eight years old. Yes, though, one
of the great Oh wow, he's okay, one of the
greatest TV shows currently on. One of the best written
TV shows that's on basically almost every week.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Last week Tonight with John Oliver. John Oliver is having
a birthday today. Way what John Oliver? You don't know
this show? Oh my god. He's on HBO. He used
to be on The Daily Show. He was a correspondent.
It is one of the funniest shows. He go deep
dives into one subject the whole time and just tears
it apart.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
And he's very, very funny. It's that British humor.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Though.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
So you may not like okay, So then i' we're
gonna see sixty four.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
And he gets a little political, well a little, the
whole show is political.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Okay, sixty four.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
I'll say fifty.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
He's forty eight. I thought he was older.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
Yeah, I obviously did too. John Creena, Oh can't see me,
can't see every bit as hated as he is loved. Oh,
that's very true.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
He is very polarizing in the WWE world.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
I'm number one wish scranter of all times from the
Make a Wish Foundation, number one, So suck.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
It, haters.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
He is one of the most incredible philanthropists. Mean is
he is awesome?
Speaker 3 (37:06):
Did he get something weird with the hair? Did he
is here? I lose it?
Speaker 2 (37:10):
But did he put in like a plug or something?
Something looks different?
Speaker 3 (37:13):
He's samba doing his best to move it around.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Bruce Willis did this back in the nineties to where
all of a sudden, you're like, what happened?
Speaker 3 (37:20):
I thought you're he's starting to get the sort of
a monk look of myself where it's it's the halo
all the way around, and he's doing his best to
sort of do things. And it generally happens about six
minutes into whatever match where he ran out of the
tunnel and then the only College Sina and then he
comes out and then he starts body slamming and you're like, oh, oh,
(37:43):
there it is. It's moving fifty one.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
He's forty eight. George Lopez a committee where he plays
himself in most shows? Is that Yeah, not a bad show,
though that was an okay show? Is it the same
show every time he does a show? Is he always
in a George Lopez type show? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (38:02):
Yeah, I feel like, yeah, I feel like that's accurate.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
Sixty two Yeah, and every that is true, and every
scene ends with sort of his joke and then a pause.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
Yeah, like so that's the way it goes.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
And then you're like, that's what I think Seinfeld was
originally gonna be. He was gonna do his little stand
up bits and make him into and then they.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Went this isn't gonna work well because Seinfeld always opened
with you know, the I was sucking. Yeah. I never
liked that.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
No, it was very like, okay, I can see her
sitting there the show because it was like, just do
the show.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
You just sucked two minutes out of the show. Yes,
I don't understand. Where are the guy's going from?
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Like all right, yeah, George Ollpes is sixty he is
sixty four. Valerie Burton Ellie oh, kind of fired from
the Food Network and then kind of not like he took.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Some of her rolls away badly for her.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
That's Woolf The's mom. She'll tell you all about it
if you watch any one of her shows. Yep, Eddie
van Halen's ex wife. She played Melanie on Hot and
Cleveland the seventy one.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
She was Untouched by an Angel. I don't think I
knew that's right. Oh, I do remember that, and of course.
Speaker 4 (39:07):
We know her.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
You can touched by an angel girl.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
She was from the original One Day at a Time, Yes, yep,
which I kind of forgot until I saw it. I
was like, oh, yes, she was, Yeah, yeah, I don't
understand the whole movie.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
It's that I have a problem with the current iteration
with Duff and everybody else. But like, she could still
be with Duf on the Food Network and she judged
kids and cakes. But is she a cook though?
Speaker 2 (39:30):
Or is she a famous person who learned to cook?
She's a Tiffany and okay, he's got that niche Garth
Brooks wife, what's her name?
Speaker 3 (39:39):
She does is kind of the same way. It's almost
watermelons alls the time.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Her peach cobblers. I was standing too. Is that a
euphemism or no, no, never.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
I've never never eaten her peach cop.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
I just stepped in a that and I've never all right, whatever, I.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Don't even know.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Who we're talking about anymore. Ll Burnelli sixty five, Yes,
sixty five years old, good job, thank you. Michael Moore
mix like documentary movies there column.
Speaker 4 (40:16):
Yeah, I'm gonna go sixty seven seventy seventy one.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
He's starting to look more and more like my aunt,
or my aunt's looking more and more like him.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
Holds your aunt, Michael Moore, Yeah, I've seen him in
the room. At the same time, she looks like Bruno Mars.
That's does she really does?
Speaker 2 (40:34):
It's pretty Simond Janet on three's company, Joyce to Wit Let's.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Go eighty three coma not going down? Why are they
remaking that? Why are they? Are they? Why aren't they
That's a great question. I don't take it. Who would
play mister Let's cast the show? Janet e eighty seventy six, okay.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
And then Lee Majors Steve Austin on a six million
Dollar Man. Of course, Mark Weiberg is gonna play yeah,
a version of that in The six Billion Dollar Man,
which is a movie coming of.
Speaker 3 (41:13):
Course to eighty eight ninety one Lee Majors eighty six.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
Here a right.
Speaker 4 (41:19):

Speaker 2 (44:27):
Because I heard the music start to ramp and I

Speaker 3 (44:33):

Speaker 2 (45:01):

Speaker 3 (45:19):

just to celebrate.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
I think Katie's right.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
I mean, that's that wouldn't even celebratory.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
So sorry, we are like I don't it's like I
can't hear it that. I'll just say it.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
I feel like something's wrong with my headphones always a part.
Speaker 3 (46:12):

Minute with Prospero Credit.
Speaker 3 (47:03):
Union and Kiss FM. Thanks so much.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
We're in the shadows of Labeo Field right here at
the bar on Home grewn Way with ninety five nine
Kiss FM.
Speaker 3 (47:11):
What is that smell? No rotten?
Speaker 2 (47:13):
I feel like it started.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
I feel like we we just stuck some head cheese
into one of these heaters.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
Or somebody smelly showed up in line at the Dan
Patrick show.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
Like we got the smelly. It's uh, there's there's there's
something in the atmosphere. Oh my gosh, there's even Look,
there's random wafts that hit and it hits everybody in
line where suddenly the faces go like whoo, I just
did I just That's sounds like living in kana you guys.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
Yeah, oh I know, trust me, we have to drive
through it.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
So website put together a list of common skills that
older people are shocked younger people don't know how to do.
Speaker 3 (47:50):
Here, you're going to attack the next generation.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
Yeah, And here's the thing. This is what I want
to say. It's our fault. We're gonna sound completely out
of touch now because I'm standing by this is our fault.
These that young people don't know how to do these things.
It's our fault now. It often is eight one zero
ninety five nine.
Speaker 4 (48:08):
I want to hear how much it matters if people
know these things. So give it to me, all.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
Right, how to unclog a toilet using a plunger. That
feels fairly important, Okay, Yeah, But.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
I also feel like, like, what do you mean they
don't know how to do it? If they had to
do it, they can figure that out. Yeah, Like I
think if you said the plungers in the garage and
they got it, and they looked at it and went like,
how many of them are?
Speaker 5 (48:32):
Are?
Speaker 3 (48:32):
They grabbing the rubber end and shoving the wooden handle
in like I don't know what I'm doing. I feel
like they could figure that out if they really had to.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
What would they think? Would they look at the stick
part and go should I put this in there?
Speaker 3 (48:43):
Because I'm trying to think I don't think my father, grandfather.
I don't think a wise man from the neighborhood once
taught me how to first use a plunger. I think
I clogged that thing up. I panicked. I found the
plunger and I looked at it and went, ah, you
just shove it in there and self taught didn't do it.
Speaker 2 (48:58):
How to type on an actual keyboard, So not their phones.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
Like I watched my son.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
His thumbs are crazy fast and so he can do
it with very impressive what they can do yet, But
on a keyboard, you know, does he even know what
he's doing?
Speaker 3 (49:12):
I mean, does this is my favorite? They could say
that for you guys boomers, that we don't know how
to do it on a Yeah.
Speaker 2 (49:20):
I use Swipe and everybody makes fun of me because
I look old, but it's so easy.
Speaker 3 (49:25):
You just like swipe. I don't trust swipe.
Speaker 4 (49:27):
I don't don't you trust about it doesn't know what
I'm going to say.
Speaker 2 (49:31):
Because your fingers form a pattern and it's got an algorithm.
Some some some guy gave it an algorithm. It's dangerous.
I don't know what algorithms are, but they sound.
Speaker 3 (49:40):
Very importib who keeps their plunger in the garage. That's
a great question, and that's I.
Speaker 2 (49:44):
Actually do do you?
Speaker 3 (49:46):
We have two, so we have one that we have
like because otherwise I don't know where to put it
that's sanitary. I don't want the plunger in there, so
I put a there's a little plastic bag, just a
Walmart bag or a festival bag or wherever. Wherever you
got the bag from targets is actually but ours is
the best bag because it's got some thickness to it
to hold the plungers. So we plunge and then you
do a little you know, a little shake, get the
(50:06):
water off, put it in them an ards bag, wrap
it around the time, and I walk it out to
the grass to the door.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
There's no way for anybody in Nick's house to use
a plunger without somebody knowing, oh.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
Yeah, and we you know what I mean, Like you
can't edit to normalize body functions in that regard in
your home where we just go, what is the point
of being like, get the plunger, Well, the toilet, can
we get the plunger?
Speaker 4 (50:29):
We'm honest, so too, maybe it's time to upgrade your
your plumbing system. If your toilet's constantly getting or check
your diet. Yeah, yeah, could be.
Speaker 3 (50:38):
I canna tell you the last time we plunged in
our house.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
No, I mean it is like a thank god it
was next to the toilet we needed every four flushes. Yeah,
things older people can't believe. Younger people don't know how
to do. See, I can believe some of these. How
to address a piece of mail. I can believe that.
Oh that's a yeah, that's got to be taught. Yeah,
you have to show them that. And there's not really
a whole lot of need for that until they become
(51:01):
an adult and suddenly have to send in a college admission,
which a lot of those are online now, a lot
of so much as irs. You know, my son did
a Saxes did everything online.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
And then you just you write your banking account number
there and your routing number and it gets deposited or
withdrawn and bill pay and all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
How to use non mobile technology?
Speaker 3 (51:21):
What does that mean?
Speaker 2 (51:22):
That's what I would like, Like, you mean like non
mobile technology a DVD player?
Speaker 3 (51:26):
Like what do they what would they need that for?
Speaker 2 (51:29):
To watch a mobal tech? Yeah, a lot of the
young kids have DVD parties on the weekends. Katie it's
really they do. It's super popular.
Speaker 3 (51:37):
Right now, we'll get together, we'll find some old DVD's.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
We'll pop some popcorn. I teach eighth grade watching kids
poke at a keyboard, even with two fingers as painful.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
Do they not teach typing in school? I think Bertie does.
I would imagine to a certain degree. I just don't
know when we didn't. We got it in middle school.
Speaker 2 (51:57):
Oh, Scott says, how to sweep proper with a large
shop broom.
Speaker 4 (52:02):
I don't think that's a younger generation. I think that's
every generation. All right, Can we just get this I
don't know how to do it. Can we get this
out of the way. We're not bringing up cursive. We're
not bringing up cursive.
Speaker 3 (52:10):
Yeah, you just doing it. We're not doing it.
Speaker 4 (52:13):
I'll see, because here it comes cursive, cursive, cursive.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
Well it's it is a problem though, because I just
found the book that my mother wrote. She wrote a
book by hand. She knew she was going to pass
with and you know, she's like, well probably five ten
years because you know, the cancer had come back, and
so she wrote this book out about our life. So
she wrote a little bit of the history of my grandparents,
then Howard her and my dad met, and then a
(52:37):
little bit of that love story, then that, you know,
both of us being born, then me going through type
one diabetes, Herbie and diagnosed with cancer, remarrying Joe, moving.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
To sun Prairie.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
So all of that she wrote in this book form
with her humor and her style, and I love it
and it's so sweet. And I was telling my son
about it and I said, it's down there. I found it,
you can read it. And I realized he will never
be the recount point. Really, it's incursive. Here's no idea,
he said, I could try to take a picture and
have AI do it.
Speaker 3 (53:07):
Wow. Really, yeah, I don't. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
So I feel like I feel like we've let them down,
We have failed them as a society. What is it
that you're worried about young kids not knowing how to do?
Speaker 3 (53:19):
Nine to two eight one zero ninety five nine.
Speaker 2 (53:22):
We're live at the bar on homegrun Way and it
is Misconnection Wednesday, about an hour or so from another
set of misconnections here at ninety five nine Kiss FM,
ninety five nine and ninety two nine Kiss FM Mornings
with Otis, Katy and Nick Live at the bar On
homegroun Way with the NFL Draft. Of course, Draft Day,
all the activities get started today. We're broadcasting live from
(53:44):
the bar On homegroun Way this morning, tomorrow and Friday.
Reid and Eddie will be here this afternoon. We're about
an hour away from Kiss concerts in Cash while another
fifteen hour gas card will give out plus Like Katie Perry,
a trip to Chicago could be yours coming up. It's
ninety five nine Kiss. I've been misconnection Wednesday. We'll do
that at eight fifteen ish on Kiss. Finally the draft
(54:09):
is here. We are excited. This is like when the
snow melts and that pile finally melts in the parking lot.
Speaker 3 (54:14):
It's that kind of excitement.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
There is a kind of a cathartic release because all
of the anticipation, all of the planning, and you can
do only so much.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
You can only answer so many questions. In terms of
some of the stuff you don't find out until you
get there, until you get in line, until you show
up to the draft experience, until you try to park
like there just aren't answers to those questions. And now
that everybody's sort of here and engaging and participating.
Speaker 2 (54:38):
There is sort of a release right now.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
Everybody's shoulders are a little more loose, everybody's a little
more happy. It's a little more relaxed of an environment
right now because it's it's finally here. So here we go.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
Now you're doing Now, you do it. And so you're visiting,
maybe from out of town or maybe you live in
the area and you're coming down for the festivities this
week and this weekend. What is there to do? Well,
there is a ton to do in Green Bay.
Speaker 4 (55:04):
Gosh, yes, just walking down here, you're gonna find every
like so much stuff to do.
Speaker 3 (55:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (55:09):
So really the draft force you get started tomorrow, but
today's kind of that kickoff, that quote unquote opening ceremonies. Yeah,
so to speak, as people start showing up. Obviously people
have been in town for a couple of days. But
now you're gonna start getting some of the broadcasters are
showing up, You've got the guests and the fans that
are showing up, and stuff gets underway outside of lambeau
(55:30):
Field basically starting this morning, Like right now, you got
a line for Dan Patrick's show, which starts broadcasting here
at eight am at the Bar and then things just
start ramping up and going. I'm looking forward to Fieldfest.
That's one of my favorite.
Speaker 3 (55:41):
That's sort of the official kickoff in terms of activities
and everything going on at City Stadium and just the
history of that history of the city, history of that stadium.
And it's a really cool partnership I guess with Green
Bay the Greater green Bay YMCA. It's totally free, it's
family friendly. It's at City Stadium starting at eleven and
that goes till too, so three hours. You can hang
(56:03):
out there and get the football theme stations. They've got
the forty, they got the twenty yards shuttle obviously past
catch all that stuff. Obstacle course, it's cool because it's
such a conglomeration and connection to out of towners who
can come experience that. But it's so much for local
folks that one is an awesome kickoff everything.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
And for folks visiting from out Italian I know you're
probably well, green Bay, there's nothing to do, Yeah, there is,
there's stuff to do. Plus, our football obsession is like
a first round pick intenseness, so you're in the right
place for the draft. But tonight we actually have a
big music fest kick it off. It's the Draft City
Music Fest at Light Memorial Park, which is downtown Gray Bay.
And the good news, everything in Green Bay is ten
minutes from you now with traffic, maybe not, but like
(56:44):
nothing's very far.
Speaker 3 (56:46):
No, not at all.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
That's kind of the saying around here. How far is it?
It's about ten twelve minutes. It's about ten twelve minutes.
Speaker 4 (56:51):
Every yell hop skipping a jump somewhe's safe.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
And then we've got the Fox River Fireworks Show two
presented by Festival Foods, which is coming.
Speaker 3 (57:01):
So yeh, food.
Speaker 2 (57:01):
Trucks fire up today officially, so all the food truck
alley in the Draft End zone, that thing fires up
at eleven o'clock today and then they're gonna be I
mean kind of like everybody else. You're just gonna find
the position sitting, yeah, and feed the masses for three days.
What we really want to do, and we we kind
of haven't talked a ton about this, but we need
local people to come out on Friday because it is
(57:22):
our Kringle Combine happening on Friday. So for people visiting
from out of town, I guess does everybody in America know.
Speaker 3 (57:29):
What a Kringle is no. Oh, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (57:31):
I still don't think we exactly know what it is, because.
Speaker 4 (57:33):
There's yes, there's very different. I was not raised on
Uncle Mike Skringle. I was raised on racin Kringle.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
And those are like a thinner, smaller cringle thin.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
Yes, So I did not experience Uncle Mike Skringle until
I moved here.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
So Uncle Mike's award winning kringles, so a Kringle is nick.
I guess I would describe it. It's like a pastry
made love to a donate but had a flat baby,
had a flat big baby.
Speaker 3 (57:58):
It's it's rolled out, it's layer and layers and layers
of dough alternating with butter alternating with dough.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
Five pounds of butter gets mashed in between those layers
of dough as they make the batch for you know,
one set of Kringles. I don't know how many they
make out of that.
Speaker 3 (58:12):
Yeah, it's incredible and it was funny when we posted
the video, So thank you to Uncle Mike's for giving
us the tour of the facility to see how it's done.
Posted the video of the final filling process, and the
react was hilarious. Especially from the Racine community. It was like,
the only real Kringle is here. It's rolled, its thirty layers,
it's buttered, and like, yeah, that's they do that. Mike's too.
(58:33):
We just didn't we didn't show you the whole process.
There is so much competition in the Kringle world. It's hysterical.
But it's essentially the dough rolled out, it proofs and
then you put alternating layers of butter and dough. It's folded,
then rolled, folded, rolled, and it creates a little bit
of air and a ton of that buttery, smooth flakiness. Yeah,
(58:55):
and then then it's filled. Pick your filling, like like
you said, almost like a doughnut. Pick your filling and
just what ever you want to shove in there, savory suite.
It's famous so as a fundraiser for the Salvation Army
when Uncle Mike's and by the way, Racine can say
whatever they want, but Uncle Mike's wins best Kringle in
North America. Yeah, they got it, they want it. It's
already theirs.
Speaker 2 (59:15):
The trophies on the wall, so to speak, they are
the first round pick. They already won. So Racine, shut
your mouth. But Anyways, Uncle Mike's has put together this
Kringle combine and what they did is they got local
people I hate saying celebrities, local people that you might know,
to come up with Kringle flavors, and then those flavors
are going to battle out Friday. We're gonna be live
(59:37):
between ten and one and there is, of course a
tent downtown Green Bay will be broadcasting or not broadcasting,
but we'll be set up out there. We're going up
against the Mad Dog and Merrill. Chef Jill I.
Speaker 4 (59:50):
Was spending some time doing social media doing a little trolley.
Speaker 3 (59:53):
Yeah, yesterday was Chef Jill. Chef Jill is really hard
to think because she has a trained palette. Oh my gosh.
She literally.
Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
Yeah, ridiculous, Jill, just much, Jill, you look conceited. That's
what you don't want that. You don't want that on
your life.
Speaker 4 (01:00:09):
Dog and MARYL.
Speaker 3 (01:00:10):
I was like, I thought we were allies. Yeah, what
is that?
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
We had a packed MARYL, like Matt DOGG and MARYL
have already surrendered. Like there's a little bit of like,
all right, we'll show up to the battle. But they're
the flag bearers. I think they feel like like all right,
we'll carry the flag to the first ones to die,
so somebody's.
Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
Gotta be the flag bear.
Speaker 2 (01:00:29):
And then you got the TV people who think they
got a chance at it, and they might. They got
a nice flavor, great flavor. You got the glam Band
and the glam Band. I mean, everybody loves the glam Band,
so that's obviously gonna be a tough competition.
Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
But what we need you to do is show up Friday.
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
You're gonna pay just a couple of bucks benefit the
Salvation Army, and then you're gonna get gonna go in
and taste all the different Kringle flavors. Now, everybody picked
their own flavor except for us. We had Northeast wiscons
of the flavor. So I feel like we have a chance.
You guys voted on the flavors. You got a top three.
You voted that one through, and the winning one is
(01:01:03):
Bourbon Banana Bliss. Yes, it's got a it's got a
little bite from the bourbon. It's a Woodford reserve, it's
got good banana flavor.
Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
It's not over power.
Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
That was the challenge actually in completing the recipe, and
that's that was the best part to me.
Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
You come up with a flavor, but it's Uncle Mike's genius.
It's their folks in the kitchen. It's their culinary experts
who put the flavors together. So it doesn't really matter
who you are in terms of your submission.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Uncle Mike's did the magic, and they they did it amazing.
Tell you what it would mean to beat two people
who do.
Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
This for a living mad Dog and Meryl.
Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
As much as they're our allies, they are cook chefs
for a Liby. They wouldn't say they are, but they are.
And Chef Jill. This would be like if those people
beat us in a radio competition. I want to beat
them at the Kringle Combine.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
So we need your votes.
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
We need you to come out on Friday, come to
our ted downtown Green Bay.
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
Be there from ten to one. We'll be cutting.
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
Yess our Kringles with poop knives. Because that's if you've
listened to the show, you may understand that we've got
this weird condor have a request for this.
Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
If it's okay, what is that? Can we not tell
them their poop?
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Can we do that? You know?
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
We cut it and we go yeah, may I cut that?
Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
For you and the people who know will love.
Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
The joke sounds good because I feel like we could
lose some people if we go.
Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
This is our poop knife. We're mention it again.
Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
This is the last time I'll say it. How about that? Okay,
I will yeah, I will never mention it again. Only
the people listening now will know that we're using poop knives.
We each have our own poop knife. It's never been used.
They're all wrapped up and we're gonna use that to
cut the crinle. Now that I said that out loud,
I wish really bad.
Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
I'm really uncomfortable with this. I'm gonna be honest. I
feel great about it. I feel real great about it.
I'm just sort of rolled with it because it's like, well, whatever,
I mean, we we're not gonna tell anybody. It's just
kind of a fun inside joke. And then uh no, yeah,
I don't Okay, it's kind of gross. All right. We
are live.
Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
They're letting the folks in the bar right now. The
doors are open for business. HomeGrid Way, come on, ye I.
Speaker 4 (01:03:05):
Wish you had seen Jury Duty on Amazon. Why because
I've seen people in line with these little chairs and
it looks like chair pants. If you see Jerry Duty,
this man invents chairpans.
Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
Oh, I love chair pans. This sounds great, Yes, I
love These people are chair pants. What do you think
they are? They're exactly what they're selling, a chair attached
to pants. He considered any time.
Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
Michael Scott had they were okay, okay, I thought they
were special pans.
Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
So as he's doing jury duty. As he's doing jury.
Speaker 4 (01:03:35):
Duty, he decides that this is the time he wants
to debut his chair pads. I am all for this
the trial because his chair pants were so distracted.
Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
Do you know what's making me sad?
Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
So they had to cut the line off.
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Yeah, and all the people on the metal barrier.
Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Fence now just peeking in long. Oh, they don't get
to go in. Do you want to invite him over here?
Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
They wadas.
Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Others just like yeah, the people who didn't make it
in wave with those people didn't wake it in.
Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
I know, look at them looking longingly at you over
the fence line.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
All right, it's the ball one NFL Draft. Come on
by and join us if you're covering to the draft

misconnection Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
We'll get that coming up after.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Eight am this morning on ninety five to nine Kiss
FM is wake up, don't forget.
Speaker 3 (01:04:24):

(01:04:47):
It is World Book Day. Oh yeah, I like book
an old book day. What was the last time you
read a book? Because a third of us I read
them all the time, and I know you do, but
a third of us haven't read a book it over
a year.
Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
Oh well that makes me say, yeah, just because you're
missing out. I don't think people are like people that
read are better than other people.
Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
No, I just it makes me sad you're missing out,
and I found you might just have to find the
right books.
Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Oh absolutely, because one thing I know I can't stand
and this surprised me.
Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
But I don't like fiction. Books.
Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
I don't like reading fiction. I love watching movies. I
love stories. I love hearing about that, I don't like
reading them. For the most part, I haven't found many.
I liked The Firm, and I liked a few Stephen
King books growing up, but I like real books, like history,
things that are.
Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
Actually happening, autobiography.
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
Do you like the fictional history?
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
Yes, I'm okay. I'm a huge fan of that, where
it's all the based on real events. We don't exactly
know what these conversations were at Gettysburg, so we'll fill
in the blanks and just kind of pretend like we
know that stuff is fascinating.
Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
Joe's correct. People are missing out on the hockey smot
Yes you are. I've been with my husband for eighteen years.
He has read one book, Yeah, Scott Scotty Pipe.
Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
And it was three years ago.
Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
I think, yes, I wouldn't and it took him an
entire week. And I feel bad now in hindsight, because
I was kind of ripping them, like I was like,
come on, dude, well we were on vacation and we
had to read room to finish chapters before we could
like go to dinner.
Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
He was delaying actual course of events. Yes, is he
a fast reader?
Speaker 4 (01:06:19):
No, that's what I mean, so I would rip on him,
and I am a super fast reader.
Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
So and today it is Shakespeare died on this day
today technically, so you should honor him by reading a
book or taking a picture of you reading a book
and posting it.
Speaker 4 (01:06:35):
On this Yeah, definitely, and toast you know, there's nothing
we want more ow and don't forget that glass of wine.
Speaker 3 (01:06:41):
Yeah, well, we need to know what you're drinking and
what you're reading.
Speaker 2 (01:06:44):
I feel like books are kind of like gym memberships,
is that you might have a couple, but that doesn't
mean you actually use them. Like not everybody uses the
books they have. They put them up like trophies and
they kind of see.
Speaker 1 (01:06:57):
Not do that.
Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
I know.
Speaker 4 (01:06:58):
He's the point again, it's the opposite. I'm a Kindle
unlimited because we can't keep up.
Speaker 3 (01:07:03):
With Oh I got to read a real book. I
can't handle that. No, I I got over that real quick,
did you. I don't like it? Yeah, I want to
turn the page. And I don't know. There's something about
when you when you start, you have no room.
Speaker 4 (01:07:14):
And then I am someone who I can't get rid
of a book, Like, how do you get rid of
a book?
Speaker 3 (01:07:19):
I understand a library, but how do you buy a
book and then.
Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Just get rid of it?
Speaker 4 (01:07:23):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Yeah, that is weird because you don't do that with
anything else. That's you don't watch a DVD.
Speaker 3 (01:07:28):
Then just.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
That's that's the confusion.
Speaker 3 (01:07:32):
Real quick. You do rent a movie and take it back.
Speaker 4 (01:07:36):
Which is but a library I can do that. I
can because I didn't pay money.
Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
Yeah yep, okay, Well that's that is the for avid
readers out there, that's the like I got a basement
now full of rubbermins of books.
Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
Well yeah, And the reason that I take comfort in
a library is I know that I can always get
it whenever I want.
Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
I like the number one excuse for not reading is
I don't have time.
Speaker 2 (01:07:59):
Okay, yeah, I think, I think, okay, but then we'll
watch the same cooking show we've watched Friday.
Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
This is one of those things too that I will
defend certain people. I am someone that when I read
a book, I get so into it I cannot put
it down. Because of that, I need to be able
to set off like four to five hours.
Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
For me to read a book.
Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
I need to be in the right mindset to settle in.
Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
Yeah, same thing, because I don't want to go in
two chapters and then forget a major player, forget a conversation.
Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
I need to put my phone down and stop watching
TikTok in order for me to read a book.
Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
And then there's a part of me too that I'm
opposite of most people too. If I'm reading a book
and I'm into it, I cannot sleep. Reading does not
make me fall asleep. So then you have to throw
that into it where I got to give myself time
to Maybe it's because my energy and my blood is.
Speaker 2 (01:08:48):
Rushing, and yeah, they.
Speaker 7 (01:08:53):
Is.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
I think your biggest hurdle.
Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
You're thinking about steaks and scory women.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
And then Michael keeps walking in and because don't sticks
in the hockey to do with well, meet like Michael
on Holme doesn't just stand around in his pads and
no shirt and took a steak on the grill. No, No,
listen to skates and make a steak.
Speaker 4 (01:09:15):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
See, that's where you're messing up.
Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
You need to get that.
Speaker 2 (01:09:18):
You need to get that rubber surface form so you
can stand out there in his skates and you don't
make a stick.
Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
All right, we are live.
Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
It's the bar On Home gred Way Draft Week finally
here misconnection Wednesday will have those coming up for.
Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
You here in just a couple of minutes on kiss FL.
Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
It is ninety five nine Kiss FM Morning to ONNUS
Katie Nick live at the bar On Home gred Way
Draft Week is here. And of course we're teaming up
with bud Light during the Draft this Friday. I will
be out at the clubhouse inside the Hilton Paper Valley
Hotel downtown Appleton. Will be there five to seven. Give
it away a big screen TV. We'll have the bud
Light wheel you can spin, give it out. Bud Light
(01:09:53):
NFL and Kiss FM swag. All the details at ninety
five nine Kiss FM dot com.
Speaker 3 (01:09:59):
So here we are. It's finally happened.
Speaker 4 (01:10:01):
It is.
Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
We are kicking off all the.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
Draft activities today which is nice City Stadium has a
big event this morning. We've got the Light Memorial Park
and the Draft, the Draft City Music Festival which is
happening tonight, and then of course tomorrow pick start happening
and this place is gonna turn nuts.
Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
Yeah, Tomorrow's by tomorrow afternoon, it's gonna be it's gonna
be everything that you have been anxious about, all the people,
all the activities, everything in full swing, and it's gonna
be pretty.
Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
And for folks who are and we do have people
asking you know, what do you got for traffic?
Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
Where do we park? Blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
Get that NFL at the one pass app and you'll
see the signs all rolling into town say to get that.
That is a valuable tool for you because there's only
certain areas you can enter and exit the draft, and
so a lot of the areas you can enter, you
can exit too, but you can't. If you could exit
there doesn't mean you can enter there. So it is
(01:10:58):
something you'll kind of need that acce us from that
app to kind of help you navigate the whole thing
down here. So if you're a native and you're like, oh,
I know where I'm going, Yeah, you may know where
you're going, but they might.
Speaker 3 (01:11:07):
Not let you get there. And there are spots available,
So I think people think that all the lots are
going to be full immediately around the area and everything
was pre sold.
Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
Not the case at all.
Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
There's there's plenty of parking and plenty of these lots.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
I was going to say, Green Bay's rules on the
street parking are different than Ashwabinon's. So where Ashwabanon blocked
off a lot of them because are trucks that need
to get in and out for all the you know,
for the deliveries at the bar and places like that.
Green Bay City streets largely a lot of them are
kind of open for parking.
Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
Yeah. Yeah, so you'll you'll find streets you'll find parking
very close to the festivities today and tomorrow. Friday, I
think is going to be a little bit different because
I think the parties really Once the NFL Draft Experience
opens at noon tomorrow to the public and everything come,
it's going to be a different animal.
Speaker 4 (01:11:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
Yeah, I will say.
Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
If you're from out of town too, you're going to
learn something that we here know very quickly, how to
dress in layers because she's cold right now.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Yeah, it is cold. But your storecast today looks beautiful.
It looks it's going to be seventy Yeah, but right now,
if you're heading out, do not dress for seventy. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:12:10):
When you go to anything in Wisconsin, you do want
a layer of what if Yep, that's what we call it.
The what if layer, And in the summer it becomes
what if it gets ridiculously hot, But in times like this,
it's the what if I need a hoodie?
Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
What if I need gloves? Like in my coat, I
had gloves and a hat today. That's a smart move
because guess what I needed for most of the morning
gloves and a hat.
Speaker 3 (01:12:31):
Yeah. Welcome to the no doubt. I mean, that's that's
what it's going to be. The good part for people
is that the early morning is not going to be
your primary draw to what's going on and what you
need to get done. By the afternoon, it's going to
be pleasant and wonderful.
Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
Hopefully dry.
Speaker 3 (01:12:47):
He just wanted, just desperately wanted for the bands that
are playing, for the activities that are going on, for
the fans who are attending. You want them to be
able to walk around and really take it all in
and experience at all.
Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
We do have a shot for a spody shower today,
maybe a storm, but it is gonna warm up high
of seventy tomorrow, partly sunny, not as warm, and a
height in near sixty. It is fifty degrees and it's
misconnection Wednesday, We're gonna get to those coming up in
three minutes On ninety five nine Kiss FM live from
the Bar on Home grin Way. This is Kiss at

Away and the Shadows of lambeau Field. If you are
coming to the draft today, the bar is definitely.
Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
Where you're gonna wanna want to hang out. Lots of
great music, great bands. Dan Patrick's doing a show in
there right now. I don't know you've heard of him.
Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
We're out here, our friends laure Lee and Cutter right
next to us too. This is definitely party central. We've
got some of our friends from WBA.
Speaker 3 (01:13:44):
Why whether we're gonna join us here. It's like a
disco tech. It's amazing, beat up the beach.
Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
We have answers, they're in cages.
Speaker 3 (01:13:50):
It's very like you know that old school. Yeah, it's
it's kind of a draft celebration like back in the day,
like when Paul Horning would go to the Whiskey of
Go Go.
Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
They wanted to kind of make it a feel like that.
Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
There's a balance, you know. I don't know, BI, would
you get to the bar if it's gonna look like
that anymore, but right now it does. It has just hoppened.
Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
You will be able to believe it didn't blow your mind.
So Wednesday's right around eight fifteen or so, we do
miss connections, and miss connections are basically exactly what you think.
We go to Craigslist and they hide them a little
harder now, but we dig up the miss connections from
northeast Wisconsin and Michigan, and then we try to put
everybody together, grab some lonely hearts and make a love connection.
Miss Connection Wednesday sponsored by River's Bend. Let Rivers Bend
(01:14:28):
exceed your expectations. Call today to reserve your table at
Green Bay's Home for great steak. It is River's Bend.
I present to you Miss Connection Wednesday on Kiss FM.
Speaker 8 (01:14:38):
Laptop specialist at miss Bay. I met with someone very
special at best Buy. She was a girl at the
laptop section. You showed me a laptop and I complimented
the various colors of your nails, and so we chatted
for a few minutes, and you uprated my cellphone to
guide me into the bits by website and showed me
specific laptops I couldn't as for your number because I
(01:15:01):
didn't feel like it was appropriated your place of employment.
But I would like to check in to see if
you're reading these messages and maybe we could connect.
Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
Now you can tell me your name, and I can.
Speaker 8 (01:15:09):
Tell you my name, and then if someone else knows you,
maybe they'll see it too, because you never told me
your name.
Speaker 2 (01:15:17):
But I love you, God, but I love you. That's
that's catspiction, not extreme at all.
Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
Snails must have been spectacular. They really want before or
sorry before before the pandemic.
Speaker 4 (01:15:32):
Met you once very briefly in twenty eighteen or nineteen.
Don't know your name, but you went by DJ. Are
you still around the area, Like DJ's a name?
Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
Wait, it's a dad? Chance this nick's DJ is Maybe
that's DJ? What the one you just read?
Speaker 3 (01:15:51):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:15:53):
Maybe hearts?
Speaker 1 (01:15:54):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (01:15:55):
None of them got names? No, none of them got name?
Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
No? Okay, yours is well, mine's not?
Speaker 1 (01:15:59):
Was up? Well? Okay?
Speaker 3 (01:16:04):
I like coffee. Yeah, I don't start drinking. Dude, you
made eye contact. I don't do it.
Speaker 8 (01:16:10):
I enjoy meeting over a cup of coffee and discussing
mutual interests.
Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
I'm a male seventy four.
Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
I like coffee. Doesn't even say let's get something. I
enjoy it. I think it's almost a solicitation, like, hey,
I enjoy meeting over coffee and discussing mutual interest too,
I'm a female or whatever. Oh so it's probably actually
just someone a very nice man. Coffee.
Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
Yeah, Clintonville.
Speaker 1 (01:16:36):
By the way, we.
Speaker 4 (01:16:37):
First talked ONLON after talking online for quite some time.
Speaker 3 (01:16:41):
We never did end up meeting, but we got along
really well onlone.
Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
I remember you're mentioning that you're a woman who likes
to get away and who enjoys bossing a man around.
Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
That's what I like more than anything. If that describes you,
even if it's not.
Speaker 4 (01:17:00):
I talked with online, but you like bossing a man
around and getting your way, etcetera.
Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
Send me a reply. It's strange she doesn't care.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Send me up, he said sarcastically.
Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
You may not judge up.
Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
In the target frozen for the section.
Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
Saturday between two thirty and three, I was picking out
apples and you catch my eyes. You slightly older, but
drop that beautiful and I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
A little younger. I tried to work up the Kurds
for small tongue and even tried approaching you but I
just couldn't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:33):
I was I heck, because those genes?
Speaker 4 (01:17:36):
What did it for me?
Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
A women?
Speaker 4 (01:17:41):
Any women into animal play?
Speaker 3 (01:17:46):
I mean real animals.
Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
Okay, you're talking like five animals.
Speaker 3 (01:17:56):
Like animals.
Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
I would like you would like to feel the looking
of this one. I just got a cat that I
would like to pet.
Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
Doesn't have any contact information, so maybe I'll just reply it's.
Speaker 2 (01:18:06):
Fine, miss a scan though, QR that thing.
Speaker 3 (01:18:10):
I'm sure your phone will be fine.
Speaker 4 (01:18:11):
I feel like the next one is I was gonna
say it's gonna be Did you break the MIC's?
Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
Hard lemonade is totally I just gotta go switch over
the laundry. You can just get interest in the mudroom. Yes,
and I'm my mom and dad are at home.
Speaker 2 (01:18:27):
Okay, we're doing a great job being quiet for a show.
Speaker 3 (01:18:30):
I'm watching a.
Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Second Hardy's and a six pack of mics. Do you
want me just to put it on the counter?
Speaker 3 (01:18:34):
Ye, you got cherry right, the Cherry Mics connection. Wednesday
comes around the Hey what are you doing here? The
nude man busts through the screen door.
Speaker 4 (01:18:45):
He was alone.
Speaker 2 (01:18:46):
I was a burried about Yeah, I just came here
because there's a lot of creeps on Craigslist and I.
Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
Was like, yeah, you shouldn't anymore. I don't know that
was such a great show. Show Is it a great show?
Speaker 4 (01:18:58):
Well, I mean no, it's it's we shud start the
rumor that we don't do it anywhere because they eradicated it.
Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
We've eliminated all Yes, it's gone. That's right, Yeah, it
doesn't happen. There's no danger, Jedni. That's what we want.
Speaker 2 (01:19:11):
We want everybody think you did's totally save Katie.
Speaker 3 (01:19:13):
Great idea have you.
Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
That I'm raising my kids in this era where it
was eliminated personally?
Speaker 3 (01:19:19):

Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
Breaking news coming in the Browns and the Giants are
fielding calls for early picks. We're doing that.
Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
I feel like, I just felt that was really.
Speaker 3 (01:20:03):
Important when it says breaking news and you're like, oh,
they do that all the time. Yeah, broke last night
you say breaking news. Who we have in the studio.
Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
They're fielding calls you guys for early picks, Ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 3 (01:20:12):
From w b A y t V two Morning News.
It's Emerson Lehman and Timmy Ollie. How are you guys?
Hey there, good morning.
Speaker 5 (01:20:20):
I just want to make sure that we update that
that would be first alert breaking news.
Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
Yeah, okay, you know you heard your first general managers
of teams are fielding calls at the draft. Holyft, we
could have seen that coming. Wow, how strange. So what
are you guys most excited about? Because this is kind
of fun.
Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
You guys get to like us, You get to do
the morning show and then you've got kind of the
day to explore a little bit. I know there's other
duties you have, but we do get a little bit
of a chunk of time to kind of go explore.
Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
What are you looking forward to at the draft.
Speaker 5 (01:20:50):
Yeah, it's great because we're actually just around the corner
read the Great North Commons.
Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
Sorry, so we're outside.
Speaker 5 (01:20:57):
It's the band stage. So in the morning that's where
were located. And then our evening crew Cammi Raps and
Bill Jards. Yes, they got that great overview. So yeah,
it's just exciting just to be down here. I mean
the first day we were here there was work going
on right and today we were talking about that Emerson
that the energy you can kind of just feel it
ramping up.
Speaker 3 (01:21:16):
I mean, the trucks are pulling in, the beer is
getting delivered.
Speaker 5 (01:21:19):
Its like happening, the signs are seriously during our six
o'clock news, the beer truck pulls up right behind us.
Speaker 6 (01:21:25):
It was a quiet like first two mornings out there
that you see the workers going around and whatnot. But
now you've got radio friends out here as well, so's
so much excitement.
Speaker 2 (01:21:34):
Just you can feel it building up there.
Speaker 3 (01:21:36):
The beer thing is funny because it's a it's a
line we always talk about when we go anywhere we
drink out other cities.
Speaker 2 (01:21:44):
So I was gonna bring that up. We celebrate the peer.
Last year, we drank more beer in the first day
than we did the three days combine the previous year,
and that happens almost every year. We end up doubling
what we did in just a day or two. So
I don't know how we're going to keep up with
now green based the.
Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
Beer, now, the toilet, the toilet paper, anything. I'm to
deliver on the promise, which is always whenever fans come here,
I always tell them, don't worry about it. I'm like,
when we show up in Philly or we show up
in San.
Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
Diego, We're not going to run out of beer. I
want you covered.
Speaker 4 (01:22:20):
I'd let's have a goal, like let's like let's be yeah,
like like, let's have a goal.
Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
No, I don't want to run out.
Speaker 3 (01:22:26):
I want to run out though. If we run out, though,
it's gonna be like astronomical.
Speaker 2 (01:22:29):
It's it's so funny.
Speaker 3 (01:22:31):
We're stimulating the economy.
Speaker 2 (01:22:33):
We'll make more.
Speaker 3 (01:22:34):
Like it's right there, Yes, we got We've got all
just like toilet paper. It's right there, and it's a
good thing. Everything's within walking distance to right.
Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
Yes, So did you guys have to change your anything
to do your show live? Do you have to get
up earlier? Do you have to do anything different? Or
is it because you don't? Do you still go to
the studio and do your normal work and then all
of a sudden.
Speaker 3 (01:22:55):
Have to drive out here.
Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
I'm loving the fact that we just get to wear hats.
Speaker 5 (01:22:59):
We wait, wait, wait, wait wait, you don't do your hair.
So I love the fact that I get to wear
a hat always.
Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
Seriously, I know you missed radio, don't you for that reason?
Like for that, I will say, what Diddy? What did
I say?
Speaker 4 (01:23:16):
I saw you and I was like, Tammy's a hackirl.
You look fantastic in.
Speaker 3 (01:23:20):
A hash Like, well, you want to know why I
was a hack girl?
Speaker 5 (01:23:23):
Because we got on stage where where we relocated it
was a wind tunn It was and super windy, and
you know how that is when people are watching that
go but get her hair under control? Why is her
hair blowing all over? It's called the wind, you know.
So we looked at each other, We're like, yeah, it's
a hat day.
Speaker 4 (01:23:40):
Yeah, we're all week though, because some some girls can
pull off hats, you absolutely can, thank you, so yes,
And it's so it keeps your head walk right, and
I want to I can't believe no one's ever said
this to you before, ever said when this is our
first time meeting you. I made you take off your
hat because on TV, yeah, it looks.
Speaker 3 (01:23:58):
Glaringly red hair.
Speaker 4 (01:24:00):
Until I met you today, it has been the topic
of our off air our.
Speaker 3 (01:24:04):
Show at least once a month.
Speaker 6 (01:24:05):
I will tell you, guys, I felt a little ambush
when we walked up and take your head off. Let
me and uh, you were the first ones to ever
tell me that I have red hair. But because I
don't think people know that, you don't, I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:24:21):
It is.
Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
It is quite brown.
Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
Yeah, it's starting to get a little gray in spots.
But yeah, I was gonna mention this little speculation. So
I can't wait though for a listener to be like,
oh my gosh, it's not red.
Speaker 4 (01:24:30):
That's why no one, because I think people red hair
are very sensitive, so you never want to point out
when somebody has red hair.
Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
But I was willing to do it, like you, sorry
about that guy.
Speaker 5 (01:24:42):
We're thinking it might be the red Like we have
some red studio lighting and a background.
Speaker 3 (01:24:51):
You guys, there's the red light.
Speaker 6 (01:24:55):
I'm something to ask people now though I'm going to
that people that I know watch Hey have you noticed?
Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
Did you not want to mention it to me?
Speaker 4 (01:25:01):
Yeah? I appreciate you guys honestly know that, like there's
nothing you can.
Speaker 3 (01:25:05):
Do about it. Anyways.
Speaker 6 (01:25:06):
So I've gotten some red headed friends, and I think
they would be excited to have another member.
Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
Of the Summer Sencient.
Speaker 4 (01:25:13):
There we go.
Speaker 3 (01:25:14):
My son's a ginger. Yeah, he's super proud of it.
Speaker 4 (01:25:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
They either love it or they get weird about it.
Speaker 2 (01:25:20):
That's I do to so much better hairline for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
But now you can think about it though when you
play in your outfits, like it's like, oh is it
gonna clash with red hair?
Speaker 3 (01:25:30):
Or yes? Like oh do I not wear the pink today?
Speaker 2 (01:25:34):
Just my life changed this morning? Yes, my life changed
this morning.
Speaker 3 (01:25:38):
To know that we're changing lives? Are you guys? Can
you stick around for another three or do you have
to go?
Speaker 2 (01:25:41):
It's okay, all right, we gotta do the Kiss Concerts
in Cash and then back with Tammy and Everson Live
at the Bar homework Away it is.
Speaker 3 (01:25:49):
Kiss ff come on all right?
Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
Congratulations Angela Dorsum from Little Swamiko our Kiss Concerts and
Cash Winter got a fifty dollars cash card and now
in for Katie Live in Chicago. Go Angela, get to
that hotel. We'll get ano one hundred dollars gift card
tickets to the show with Prospero, Credit Union and Universal
Music Group. We'll do that again at eleven thirty with
(01:26:11):
Jason Slade and then four thirty with three to Eddie,
who will be live out here at the bar on
Home Grand Way. We're hanging out with Tammy Elliott and
Emerson Lehman from WBA Y TV two. Thank you guys
for swinging by today. It's like, how long have we
We've been literally counting this down now for over a.
Speaker 3 (01:26:28):
Year at who did they announce it?
Speaker 2 (01:26:31):
Two years?
Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
Okay? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:26:32):
In three did you guys put a countdown clock up?
Was it about a year ago?
Speaker 3 (01:26:37):
It feels like it.
Speaker 6 (01:26:38):
I think that clock went up in like the last
month or so. But we've been doing a countdown to
the Draft series every Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
We've been Yeah, we've.
Speaker 6 (01:26:45):
Been rocking that really kind of just touching base on
all of the excitement, all the preparations, everything that goes
into making an event like this possible, because there's.
Speaker 4 (01:26:54):
Quite a bit you're the youngest out of everyone here.
Do you think we will get another one lifetime.
Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
In my life? Yeah, that's fair.
Speaker 2 (01:27:06):
I know that.
Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
Scent a drippace. That's a good question.
Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
I honestly don't know. And once in a lifetime, I
don't think. So we got it once, Why do you
think it's.
Speaker 6 (01:27:18):
Only one, especially in a place like Green Bay where
I mean, this is this is title town, right, So
I think if we knock it out of the park
this weekend, yeah, we're going to say, hey, you know,
maybe fifteen.
Speaker 3 (01:27:27):
Years, let's let's have the party here again. Yeah. I
do think that is one of the things I'm most
excited about. And when you live here and you experience
it and you know it and you're a little spoiled
by it, we do it really well here. And I
think whatever misconceptions people have or preconceived notions since it's
don't have to be a misconception. But what it is
in Green Bay and what life is like, and there
(01:27:47):
is still a part of us no matter how many
championships are hung up in the ring, and no matter
what chills you get when you walk in, there's still
a part of us that fights for that respect we're
the little guys, and I think we're going to prove
to the sporting world how well we do it here,
and I think people are going to be really impressed.
Speaker 4 (01:28:05):
But I feel like we do need to give some advice,
like if we could keep like street puking to.
Speaker 3 (01:28:10):
A minimum, please that that would be.
Speaker 2 (01:28:18):
So many.
Speaker 5 (01:28:19):
You know what's so funny is the way these tips
that you're giving Emerson.
Speaker 3 (01:28:23):
Have we ever given these tips on CV? We had
things like you cannot.
Speaker 5 (01:28:27):
Bring an umbrella, make sure you have a clear bag
to carry your things in.
Speaker 3 (01:28:36):
The street. It's a massive tell where the dirty case.
I want to say something.
Speaker 5 (01:28:41):
I want to go off of what you said in
it because I grew up here. I went to Robin
in high school, graduated live you know, a mile from
the stadium. So I have seen this grow throughout my life.
And what's happened here, the transformation, title town, you know,
the Rush Expo, the whole area really has just such
an amazing vibe, such a different feeling than it did.
(01:29:04):
You know. But I still think that that original kind
of just the hardcore Packers fans and who we are,
that is authentic, and I that I think people are
gonna are gonna see they're gonna feel that, right, we say,
you know, Midwest nice, Wisconsin nice, Green Bay nice, And
I think that people are really going to experience.
Speaker 2 (01:29:22):
And the fact that we're kicking everything off today at
a city field is really kind of part of what
you're talking about is we take this very seriously here.
We don't screw around with history and tradition, and it's
super important to us and we're just happy you get
to be here to witness it with us.
Speaker 3 (01:29:38):
Well, you hit on something earlier to otis a couple
of the interviews that you get a chance to do
and you connect with with different people, and they want
you to talk about Green Bay leading up to the draft,
And overwhelmingly the number of stations are individuals that I'd
talked to, and I would say, I don't think you
guys understand what it is here. So you can stay
forty five minutes away from here and it's still less
(01:29:58):
than what you guys drop to go to a game
right on a Sunday. I don't think you're going to
fully grasp until you get here that you're gonna drive
down a residential street and run into the most historic
mecca in all of sports. I don't think you totally
get that. You can park your car three blocks away
and walk to the draft, to everything. You're going to
literally be able to set your car down feet from
(01:30:22):
everything that's going on and walk everywhere. Restaurants, hotels, draft experience,
the draft, theater, the bands.
Speaker 2 (01:30:29):
Everything in a year's gonna have a blast because everybody
is so night. We're all so excited this is happening,
and that's what's so cool. I think about this area
and it's like this worry of like can you contain
all the people? Yeah, dude, we got room.
Speaker 5 (01:30:41):
We got nothing but room, and we're kind of spoiled
because you know, we're like get everywhere in fifteen minutes, right,
So a lot of people are coming from out of state.
Speaker 3 (01:30:49):
You know, are our fear of like where are we
gonna park? You know that's three blocks away?
Speaker 5 (01:30:54):
Oh and if you park in the neighbor you know
some of those the homes they open up their bathrooms
for you.
Speaker 1 (01:30:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:31:00):
Yeah, it's part of the constantly Emerson, Am I not
concerned about where is the nearest bathroom?
Speaker 3 (01:31:07):
See you're looking at one right now. There's port of
bodies there everywhere. No it was wild. I was. I
was on a station in Texas and the guy goes, so, like,
how far is it from parking? And there was this
awkward pause and I go it's across the street. And
he goes, well, how much does it cost. I'm like,
it's like fifty bucks and he goes what and I
go yeah, and he goes like for like an hour,
(01:31:29):
and I don't know you you just part, you park
and then you walk in. I'm like, I don't And
it was funny, exactly what you say.
Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
We have this anxiety like you're gonna go over one
seventy two and these people are gonna be like, do
you only have to drive ten minutes? Wait till you
see our drink prices. You're gonna be like, are you
kidding me? I'll take six.
Speaker 3 (01:31:49):
That's another tip we do here too. When you had
too much liquor, you switch to beer. Yeah, you do,
switch to beer? Something light? Yeah, get yourself on the
miller line of butt like whatever it is, you know, switch.
You're gonna hear that a lot, all right, just going
carbless from the beginning.
Speaker 2 (01:32:03):
It's the bar on a home grid away NFL Draft week.
We're here, Thank you, to Tammy Elliott and Emerson Lehman
from w Bay. I appreciate you guys coming by doing
your shows live of course, just across the street all
this week and you want people to come.
Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
To your show. Yeah, hang out, come say hig in
the background, we got root them over there.
Speaker 2 (01:32:22):
Yeah, this is ninety five to nine kiss ff all.
Right here we are right outside of the bar Home
Grin Way.
Speaker 3 (01:32:28):
This is the Lambeau feel.
Speaker 2 (01:32:29):
I can literally see Lambeau Field, the big Tower right
from where I'm sitting.
Speaker 3 (01:32:35):
This is where you're gonna want to be sports food fun.
Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
And I know a lot of people had some concerns
about how far you know, our price is gonna get
jacked op with you are they're gonna really ruin everything
in Green Bay with all the pret Not really, No,
I feel like everything's been Every place I've seen has
kept it. At game day prices, we're real close and
that's true here at the bars, your normal game day venue.
Speaker 3 (01:32:56):
I think that's part of it from the draft experience
that that we're so into as well where we're gonna go. Hey,
I think for the rest of the world we do
things pretty sweet, hit excit.
Speaker 4 (01:33:04):
I think the people that are worried about jacking up prices.
Are the ones jacking up prices?
Speaker 2 (01:33:08):
You might be right about that, that's actually a good call.
But this is just a really great environment. Things start
getting kicked off today. So you've got the city center
eleven o'clock this morning is where we've got a lot
of activity going on.
Speaker 3 (01:33:22):
Did you see the Patrick Holmes mom is hosting the
QB clinic there as well, which is which is really cool.
Speaker 2 (01:33:28):
Yeah, that's really neat. She'll be out there doing that.
That's kind of where this all started. Then, of course
you've got tonight, You've got the draft, the music festival,
Light Memorial Park, got the fireworks, and then tomorrow everything.
Speaker 3 (01:33:38):
Kicks off twelve noon sort of the party begins for
the general public in terms of the draft experience opening,
and there's no reason why you can't just come down
and experience the city, so to speak, before that, but
twelve noon is kind of the official all right, public, open,
open the doors and let the flood gates.
Speaker 4 (01:33:56):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
It's funny because I just saw waitress walk by and
she has like six cocktails, and I thought, you know,
to some people, that's like, oh, they're doing that just
for the draft, and of course to us, no, that's
a normal thing. I've been dying.
Speaker 3 (01:34:11):
Have you been seeing it? Took me a second to
realize that the orange boxes. Uncle Mike's has a tent here, Yes,
and about five orange boxes have made their way into
the line and people are picking up whole kringle.
Speaker 2 (01:34:22):
Oh no, they're bringing over yeah, putting it down. They're
bringing Kringle slices to us. She just came and asked,
oh my gosh, when I was in the bathroom, Well
she didn't bring it yet. They're on the way. Oh excellent.
Speaker 3 (01:34:30):
Yeah, it's just hysterical because I've been watching it, going gosh,
it looks like an Uncle Mike's Kringle box, and then
you realize everybody's.
Speaker 2 (01:34:37):
Just pounding them in line, whole Kringle. So Rad and
Eddie are going to be here this afternoon broadcasting live.
We'll be here all week at the bar on Holme
grin Way. So we'd love to see you, or just
if you're going to be out and about at the
draft this week and you see one of us, people
are always like, I don't know if I should say hi,
say hi. Absolutely, we absolutely want to see you. What
did you learn today I'm ready for this.
Speaker 3 (01:34:59):
Ye yeah, I was super excited and being here and
you feel the energy and it's tangible, I'm even more excited.
Speaker 2 (01:35:08):
It's just awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:35:09):
This is great. I learned that I.
Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
Am not as loud as I thought I was because
I thought broadcasting right next to Laura le and Cutter
would be a problem. Because my entire life I've been
told you're too loud, and they haven't complained yet.
Speaker 4 (01:35:24):
No. Yeah, I think I've learned that you do have control.
I do well for how long you are, and you
just don't choose to shut up.
Speaker 3 (01:35:33):
I don't like any of this.
Speaker 2 (01:35:34):
It's Kiss FM Live from the Bar Home goes into
a big fight at.
Speaker 1 (01:35:38):
A time in a
Speaker 3 (01:35:43):
Katie Kiss that
