Totis Katie and Nick and it is officially draft ed
today it is we do Oh my god, I don't
know if I can do the show. With the smell
of frying onions.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
It's that's the boy going early.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
It's five o'clock in the morning and it smells like
somebody is making brats right now.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
You think that's the Boo Year people.
Speaker 5 (00:24):
Yeah, they were hauling. They were well, oh, because it
has a little bit of the small gar in the
stock yarlic, it's absolutely fantastic.
Speaker 6 (00:33):
Is not gonna work.
Speaker 7 (00:34):
So I gotta tell you about my experiences. I was
walking the small short walk, the short walk here. So
there's a woman, probably about fifteen feet in front of me.
Woman and there's a truck that rolls up hey, and
she just kept walking and I was like, oh.
Speaker 6 (00:50):
Please don't beat me, next, Please don't be me next.
Speaker 5 (00:53):
The truck is yelling to the woman. Yeah okay.
Speaker 7 (00:55):
She ignored them, and I was like, good for you, yeah,
but I'm next.
Speaker 5 (00:59):
Yeah, yeah, were you worried you were going to be snatched.
Speaker 6 (01:03):
No, they wanted to talk to you.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
Oh, they just wanted to Okay, I gotcha, I got you.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
That's how she likes composition.
Speaker 7 (01:08):
No, because I'm like someone in a truck is going
and you'll hear. Once they asked, okay, I know nothing,
Like I'm the worst person to ask.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Well, not only do you know nothing, you have no
desire to help people.
Speaker 8 (01:20):
You just.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Okay, listen four four fifteen in the morning, random truck. Yes,
you have no desire to help because you don't know
what it is.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
I mean, yeah, that's a human condition. I don't think
that's a you problem. Absolutely, Like I keep walking to
so they KEI kid, yell, let me out of the
truck and be like mother.
Speaker 7 (01:38):
They keep yelling hey, and the whole time I'm going
And this is exactly what I was afraid of.
Speaker 6 (01:42):
This is what I was afraid of.
Speaker 7 (01:44):
So then I say it's a woman in the driver's
seat or the passenger seat.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Did that make you feel better a little bit?
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:51):
Then she so I was like, crowd, I made eye contacts.
Speaker 6 (01:58):
So she goes, hey, oh yeah, you can't make contact?
Is there where? Like how do you park.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Oh my god, yeah yeah, And.
Speaker 7 (02:09):
I go, what do you mean you can just and
she goes, I did like parallel?
Speaker 6 (02:15):
Yeah. And then she goes, so like, where do where
do we park anywhere?
Speaker 9 (02:20):
Lay?
Speaker 7 (02:20):
And I go, well, there's no parking till five am
I go? Then the world is yours?
Speaker 3 (02:26):
That was a nice answer, yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:29):
And then she goes, okay, and I go, I don't
know what you wanted me to stay here?
Speaker 8 (02:34):
Right?
Speaker 5 (02:34):
Did she expect you to produce a past?
Speaker 10 (02:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
I'll tell you what man right here?
Speaker 7 (02:39):
I don't know because I feel seven.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
You asked the magic question. I just happen to have
a parking lass.
Speaker 6 (02:46):
Well, that's just it.
Speaker 7 (02:46):
You just asked the worst person, because am I Do
I live in the area?
Speaker 8 (02:50):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (02:51):
Do I know my way around? Yes? But when I
tell you north, south, east west or what street? A street?
Speaker 9 (02:58):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (02:59):
And you picked the one person who won't go places
because of parking.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Yeah, Honestly, at this hour, why would anyone expect anyone
necessarily randomly walking down the street to have a lot
of intel like at this point, I we essentially have.
We've we've encountered people who are behind walls, behind like
security points and checkpoints or or what can they get
like barricades and things. The random drifters essentially.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Just people walking the push in a grocery car right,
just kind of like welcome to Green May.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
I did see somebody with a luggage thing though, like
they were real and like, oh they did did they
get a wheeluck?
Speaker 6 (03:37):
Okay, So speaking is, we got to get Joe in.
Speaker 7 (03:39):
Joe's got to plug in for what happened to us
yesterday speaking of knowing where I'm going. Yeah, and I'm
not gonna be able to hear him because of my headphones,
but he went right. When we were at the media day,
it was about to downpour. So I said to Joe, like,
you guys were all on the field doing stuff, and
I'm like, let's get out of here. So Joe goes, okay,
and he goes, I'll drive you to where you parked.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
And I was like, oh, that's awesome, thank you. So
he goes, where did you park?
Speaker 11 (04:05):
Well?
Speaker 6 (04:05):
No, I was very proud of myself.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
I was gonna say, smelling this out.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
What was the house number?
Speaker 7 (04:10):
I got it right, eight, I said, eleven eighty eight
Shady Lane.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
Oh wow, no close? Oh no, mother, No, that is
also a stroke.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Did you say shady lake?
Speaker 7 (04:20):
I did, oh no, and I and not only did
I say shady Lane, I committed to it were driving
and so then I put it in my phone and it's.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
A street that's not far right, it's not far, it's
not far, but.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
It is because we're driving, and Joe goes. Joe goes,
so you you.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Went over forty one and.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
I go, yeah, yeah, what and because you had to
get through like ye forty one, pat like inner like
over and.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
He goes, see where I.
Speaker 6 (04:48):
Because you parked this far? And I go, yeah, I
go I shady.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Lane joel oh no Katie.
Speaker 7 (04:55):
Then and then finally so and I go, you got
to go up here? And then he goes, so you
parked the like let me. He goes, why why did
you guys park this far?
Speaker 4 (05:04):
And then he probably thinks we're absolute idiots.
Speaker 6 (05:06):
He keeps going and he goes, do you mean shadowly.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
The one right by Lambeau?
Speaker 7 (05:13):
And I go, h I go, maybe, I go, I go,
I'll put that into my phone and maybe if we
wind up there. So I was like, I was like,
welcome to the true essence of Katie Shirk because.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
That well think the heads up you gave us about
the rain. Yeah, that helped a little well.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
I I ended up going into home Field Pub and Social. Yeah,
they were closed because all the restaurants had to be
closed for bomb.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Sweeps, which is crazy. He had to do bomb They
bring the dogs in bomb sweep.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
I said, Bob, I'm like why why?
Speaker 10 (05:47):
Is Like?
Speaker 6 (05:50):
I was just like, is this something I don't know?
Speaker 4 (05:53):
For Richard Sweeps?
Speaker 5 (05:55):
So they're just rolling through, got a lot of a
lot of credentials and I thought that's a shame. And
I said what happened? And he goes, I'm Bob sorry,
and that was it. And I was like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
He looked important.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
Were like an honor like because you know we have
the Brady Bill, it's the Bop bill.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
We were scanning his little QR code and I was like, wow,
you get in a lot of places. It's too bad
your named Robert that this was the most fun game yesterday.
It was really weird.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Because Robert Griffin Junior when he was drafted, they didn't
have no.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
Roberts on the media credential. It's got the scantron, it's
got the QR code, so that that they scan you
and know whether or not you have access to certain things.
But it's just out in the open, so we're just
kind of standing there. Anytime we were around and I was.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Like, oh, try and scan that guy. See where you
can go?
Speaker 5 (06:41):
Where can that guy go?
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Heed scanning? Like, Oh, that dude's important, man, he can
get into a lot of stuff. His list is really long.
It was really fun sting out there in the rain all.
Speaker 7 (06:50):
R any of you experiencing what I snapchatted last night.
And I know first world problems. I don't know what
pass goes for what at this point, and I don't
know what I'm supposed to keep and what I'm.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Not And then you're credential.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
I took the bracelets off last night. I thought to myself,
well that might mean and I can't go anywhere to
That's what I was thinking. I don't know what this
just did. And I was like, yeah, I took everything off.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
And then I go, but I don't scrap book.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Yeah, I don't care about things. I don't even save
concert tickets to shows I care about. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
I intended to save it and then I don't know.
I don't know where it ended up, but I wore it.
I wore it at the event last night because I'm like,
do I need this? And then they put a new
one on me, and then I was this guy with
like seven bracelets and it looked like I was really
active for a lot of causes. So it kind of
made me feel good where it was like, oh, he
represents a lot of people.
Speaker 6 (07:36):
You're a good person.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
I imagine you have a rubber made in the basement
that's just filled with every laminate and every wristband that
you've ever gotten.
Speaker 6 (07:44):
From every event, where as a necklace.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Only like really important ones, like I'll keep all my
NFL credential ones. This is this is cool?
Speaker 6 (07:53):
Sure, but I mean was like five and he'd be impressed.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah, where him as?
Speaker 6 (08:00):
I think it was cool? I keep playpress.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
My son doesn't wake up until after I get back.
I don't even think he knows.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
We're doing the draft this week. We are live.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
We're at the bar this week, bro, Yeah, totally, We're
the bar home gren Way.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
It is a draft week.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
It's here, kickoff today, got a lot of activities this morning.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
We'll get to it.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
It's five seventeen at Kiss FM. Maybe you're not coming
down to the heart.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Of the draft, but you still want to be involved
in all the activities, you can.
Speaker 6 (08:25):
Join Kiss FM bud Light.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
It's the draft on Friday, going to be live five
to seven at the Clubhouse inside the Hilton Paper Valley Hotel.
Speaker 6 (08:33):
Go Downtown Appleton.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Yeah, I'll be out there giving away if a big
screen TV will have a bud Light wheel you can spin.
There's all kinds of bud Light, NFL and Kiss Swag again.
That's five to seven at the Clubhouse inside the Hilton
Paper Valley Hotel, Downtown Appleton on Friday, Live with Kiss.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
That's one of the coolest things about this hosting job
that we have, and it was something that you overheard
a lot yesterday with national media in particular who was
in town, and you hear all the side conversations with
them talking to packers' officials and getting their bearings and
trying to understand the map. They send you the map,
and you're looking at the map, but if you're not,
even if you are from around here, it's overwhelming because
(09:10):
it essentially is a brand new city that's built within
the city. And listening to them talk and understand how
close everything was, they couldn't believe it.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
It was hysterical. I was trying to figure out which
guy it was. Yeah, I was with a couple from
like an independent media. We got stuck inside. Well, first
I was in home Field Pub and Social. By the way,
I got to check out the new menu.
Speaker 6 (09:30):
That looks great.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
It's just a great venue. And thank you to the
crew for letting us in there.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
That was really nice. Because it was pouring down rain.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
I eventually started to sneak my way up and I
paided the Hinterland, which was also closed.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
I should have stayed with you.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
You should have because in Hinterland.
Speaker 6 (09:44):
I should have just left with me and Joe.
Speaker 8 (09:45):
What we do.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Maybe I met these two folks Brooke and I don't remember,
I want to say Corey, and they were from an
independent thing out in Cali, and that was their whole take.
They could not believe how not only well organized it
all was, but how everything within Like he kept saying,
he goes, everything's like, I don't know, like eight hundred
feet away, and I go literally, it's all like eight
(10:08):
hundred feet.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
I cannot remember it because I couldn't quite see the credential.
But again, the scantron his QR code had a long
list attached to it, and he was unpacking some massive
boxes and there was TV equipment or filming equipment and
all this other stuff. And he was talking to one
of the packers officials who was down there, and he
had his map out and he was so draft theater
(10:29):
and he's kind of spinning around and she goes right
right down here, and he goes down like where and
she goes down here end of the block. He goes
this block, how many blocks? And she goes this block
and he goes down this block. Yes, and she goes yeah,
And he goes, do we need to shuttle? Where do
we pick? And she just no, it's at the end
of this block.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
And he goes right there, yes, yeah, he goes, we
could walk to everything.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yeah, if you take a shuttle.
Speaker 10 (10:53):
Your labe.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
It was hysterical and it was just like this mind
blown He goes all right, all right, and he started
up box and everything. It was just neat to see
that vibe in that feel, and that was it's something
that's impossible to sell people ahead of time, where you
go listen when you get here, just get here and
you'll understand what we're saying. Where the campus so to speak,
is walkable. You don't have to drive, you don't have
to anything. Where are you staying there?
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Awesome?
Speaker 5 (11:15):
You're gonna walk to several restaurants.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
You're gonna walk to your parking spot, and then you're
gonna walk basically across a parking lot of a professional
football stadium, and then you're gonna get to where you
need to go there and then the luncheon that is
seventy five feet from the other one, and then the
draft house dive bar that's like fifty feet from where
you're gonna have the lunch. Well, it's funny.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
I'm standing next to a sign yesterday, and you know,
a lot out of town people they don't know they're
gonna drive in, and there's a sign that says park
one hundred and fifty bucks. And I'm thinking, man, literally
eight hundred feet from here, if you just knew, you
could park for free on the street.
Speaker 10 (11:47):
But you don't know.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
So we do have a little I know. I don't
want to tell you.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
No, it's pretty it is pretty spectacular. When the rain
hit yesterday, I should have stayed with you. I wanted
to wander over to the other side. But once the
shelter in place. Notice came they started shuttling people out. Yeah,
and the only way out once you get inside the perimeter,
it's a little Jurassic Park like like you're inside the
t Rex can't get out. And the minute they had
(12:14):
to shelter in place, they had to shut down the
one security checkpoint for the media. So they issue they
ushered everybody out and it was the biggest mistake I
could have possibly have made. And it was an instant
mistake where your feet from the exit and then just
go no, no.
Speaker 9 (12:30):
No, no no, I'm out.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
I'm out of the perimeter. And we turn around.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
The guy goes, oh, now, he goes, we're shutting it down,
and I was like okay, And it was me and
there were about three other media people and the one guy.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Had all of his equipment. He just goes no, no, no,
and he's backing up. I'm like, we're outside. We made
it outside.
Speaker 8 (12:45):
What are we gonna do?
Speaker 5 (12:47):
So we're running around trying to find an awning to
duck under, and it was just pouring and then you
just had to sit there and steam just because you
can't you can't go in anywhere, but you have to
shelter somewhere, but nobody is letting three hundred media people
just pour into the Lodge Coaler.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Yeah, you would have liked it.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
With me.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
It was I wandered in and out of a couple
of places. Again, I want to thank the people who
eventually saw me and let me stay. Hinterland was great,
home field pub and social. Just awesome that they they
were like.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
It's cool.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
And that's kind of a nice thing about being local
is that those people know us and they're like, oh,
it's fine. But then these other people are coming in and.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
They're not who There was a lot of I wish
I would have just said I had a smile appointment,
because yes, you're walking in, you know, unless you had
a reason to be inside Loge Coler. And it's absolutely
the right thing. I mean, they that's that's their business.
They can't just let people in and out. But it
was so funny because we would stand there and and
you're kind of in that little lobby area and the
(13:47):
woman was wonderful and she kept opening the door and
she goes, I'm so sorry, unless you have a room key,
and unless you're coming here for a spa or for business,
and I.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Was like, no, I'm staying with the Underhills.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
I said, I'm totally I'm like, I'm totally fine with that.
That's not and she had to turn away. You put
this on their tab And then a couple guys came
in and he goes. She goes, do you have a
reason to be here? He goes, yeah, I'm staying here,
and she goes, can I see your room key? And
he produced it and he goes and I start kind
of walking in and Eddie was with me, and I'm like,
we're all with that guy.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
We got to get up to the room because all
our equipment's up there, and she's like, you can't do that.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
I goes, spare the SPA equipment is spot.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
I got a spot. I'm going coffee? What anything like?
Is I just need I need a towel?
Speaker 8 (14:27):
Please?
Speaker 5 (14:27):
Can I have a towel? It was a stare at
all the bombs to be over and they're just like.
Speaker 7 (14:33):
I just want to think Joe Marole for listening to
me when I'm like we should get out of here. Yeah,
and he said, yeah, I will drive you.
Speaker 6 (14:39):
But you missed so much excitement.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Kiddy American Music Award nominations are out. We're gonna run
down the list here in ten minutes. We're live at
the bar home Grown Way, Draft Day, getting kicked off
today Live with ninety five nine Kiss haf Okay, so
now I'm here without a coat and the heater just stopped.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Yeah, yeah, the hose came off. That didn't take long.
Do you have any go get the hose.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
Now we're fine.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Back, I can make it at the warmest one that
I think we're used to the heat. Yeah, it's like
in your car when you set it to like eighty five,
you feel like you're at the beach and then you
get out and it's still seventy degrees outside, but you're like, yeah,
that's the best part about my old apartment. Utilities are included.
I cranked that thing up like I was on the
beach in the middle of July.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
It's why it's why we don't use well, we do
use it, but like putting the pool heater on when
it's seventy degrees out doesn't make a lot of sense
because then you get out of the pool and it sucks.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
First world problems, you know.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
It's a little bit like going hot tub into the pool. Yeah,
and then you jump in and it's.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Like, oh, twenty twenty five old plunging you guys.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Twenty twenty five American Music Awards announced yesterday. And I
don't think Drake's gonna like this. I do not think
Drake's gonna like this at all. Kendrick Lamar leading the
pack ten nominations, Yeah baby, blah blah blah.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (15:51):
The only thing that would have been worse is if
they would have introduced a brand new award called the
Like Them Young Award.
Speaker 12 (15:56):
And yeah, yeah, you like him Young, posts Malone with eight,
Billy Eilish Chapel, Roon Shaboozy all with seven, Kendrick, Billy Chapel,
and uh more all up for Artists of the Year
with Arianna Morgan.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
Sabrina says a Taylor Swift Zach Bright.
Speaker 6 (16:16):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
I just feel like all those nominations, if they give
it to Taylor Swift, doesn't it I love her, but
doesn't it just feel like it just feels, I.
Speaker 6 (16:25):
Don't know, too obvious to me. If she ends up.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Pulling away with that one. I really want to see
Kendrick win that.
Speaker 6 (16:31):
I don't think I know, I don't feel that way
this year.
Speaker 7 (16:35):
No, because I feel like there's been so much, Like
there's actually other artists that have gotten pub Yeah, Taylor.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
Swift, that's true, I think I and this is just personal.
Speaker 6 (16:48):
It's the year of Kendrick, I feel, yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:50):
And I'd like it to be Beyonce. She doesn't get
any recognition.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Yeah, nobody loves her. And I would like to see.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
Some of her other work, you know, I would like
to see that get great if she won.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
I don't see if she even nomine, Like.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
Does she have a Lemonade two or something like that,
Pink Lemonade, or like another album like that.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
AMAS go Down Memorial Day, Monday, May twenty six, on CBS,
Jennifer Lopez is.
Speaker 6 (17:12):
Hosting Oh Is She Where did she find the time?
Speaker 9 (17:14):
I do?
Speaker 5 (17:15):
Do you feel a little bit she does? She's sort
of out there, like there's a lot of things with
her recently and US Weekly you'll have an article on her.
Is she getting a little snoop to get ahead of stuff?
That's instantly what I feel. Oh, and I guess I'm
starting to feel it less about snoop. But Jennifer Lopez,
I feel like every time she does something like this,
it's like, are they trying to shine her a little
(17:36):
bit and.
Speaker 6 (17:37):
Just kind of no, I think she has a horrible
pr team.
Speaker 5 (17:40):
Oh maybe, I gently think.

it's still a big line.
Speaker 13 (18:07):

and see if the folks that didn't get in yesterday.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Were going to be the first one here. Did they show
up bright and early.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
I think a lot of people had a day, you know,
they took one day to kind of soak it in,
or took a day off of work, or took a
half day, and and I think they're all back to
work today.
Speaker 2 (18:22):

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Five five after k hot take coming in three fifty.
Speaker 3 (19:53):

Speaker 5 (20:03):
She finally got the Golden Globe and she got the recognition,
and she gave an incredible, really powerful speech.
Speaker 8 (20:09):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
I feel like it almost made everybody's antenago.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
I know, but yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (20:17):
I think I personally think they have a rotation of
about twenty.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
CELEBTI it seemed to George Clooney's guess is.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
That half flat?
Speaker 3 (20:25):

Speaker 5 (20:28):
Let's yeah, I'm comfortable enough in my manhood.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
That's a good looking dude.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
Katie's aunt is really good looking too, to me, He.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Says, quote, Oh, I don't know, she said, quote I
was so harsh and had a much more antagonistic relationship
with my body, and straight up I was really just
punishing myself, she said, in the past. And so now
she said she's learned to love herself and that's helped.
Speaker 6 (20:52):
You're telling me, I gotta wait till I'm like six
sixty five.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
Ye myself, Yes, Hayley Steinfeld.
Speaker 6 (20:59):
I feel you loved herself like she's had this regrowth
a lot. I love myself regularly, I am. I don't
doubt that.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Got caught a couple of weeks ago. O.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Geez, man, you were at least it's not seven fifteen
we're dropping kids up at school.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Give it.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
At least you build the box on doors like just
a door, all right, I mean, as long as you're here.
What did you say next? We're not this conversation. I
was that was a throwaway line.
Speaker 4 (21:33):
I thought we'd move on from time.
Speaker 6 (21:36):
Why it wasn't a throwaway line because we all know
it's true.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
It's not. No, we don't all know it's true.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
Animals, and then a lot of people know it's true.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Oh no, you assume.
Speaker 6 (21:48):
I'm the back.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
You said you got caught.
Speaker 10 (21:51):
It's not making this up.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
We came up with some story about the portal potty
here at the bar.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
She's a rebellion involved.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Oh my gosh. Of course I washed my hands before.
Of course, that's why I saved then for last.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Okay, again, this was a throw a late way line.
I was done with our bosses running the board right now.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
I'm going I'm That's why I'm going.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
To believe it more than anyone.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
Yeah, well, he would love it if the whole show
would go this way.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
That's what he wants, all right. Anyhow, FM Vibe at
the Bar home grid Way for the draft.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
Come on out and join us. I'm smelling the boo yah.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
The Kringle people will be here soon cutting up Kringles,
and all the activities get underway this morning. Of course,
noon is when they really kick off as far as
you being able to join in on the festivities.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Draft experience opens up at noon, and you're gonna want
to go.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
It's amazing, dude.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
You can see it on TV, and you can read
the plans, and you can watch other draft cities, and
then when it's in front of your eyes, it's just different.
It's just a different experience. The draft experience is incredible.
The dive bar that they in the parking lot, yep
is amazing.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
We all run easy.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Run through everything we got to experience yesterday. So you
know what's in store for you if you're coming down,
we'll do that at about six thirty.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
Oh there's one thing I do need to say for you.
You were missed at the luncheon.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Yeah, do you know what the luncheon was brought and
cheese curds and a food truck, Taco food truck. All right,
it was totally your luncheon.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
We're live at the bar. It's Draft week, It's Draft Day.
It kicks off with ninety five to nine KISSFM.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Come on out.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
It's Draft Day as it kicks off today. We though,
were a part of the festivities yesterday, which was actually
a lot.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
Of fun and we got to hobnob hobnob.
Speaker 6 (23:36):
It's fun.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
It was so cool. It kicked off with Special Olympics
and the fifteen draft prospects who are here, so all
of the future. You know that the top first round
guys were all here and they all participated in the
event with Special Olympics and all the NFL execs. Roder
Goodell was down there as well, and they all hung
out on the field and just did a ton of activities,
(23:57):
a ton of different and things like that with all
the kids and all the athletes, and then they open
it up and it was one of the funniest things
to watch as the media you begin to sense about
what time it's gonna end, and they've got the DJ
on there to be like three.
Speaker 14 (24:11):
More minutes, three more minutes until we open this up
to the media. Three minutes for media availabilities. So please media,
if you gather over by the east entrance there where
he came in, and everybody's doing like you get either
looking around like so they start lining up. The second
the photo was over with Roger Goodell and all the
special Olympians, they clear the.
Speaker 5 (24:32):
Field and it was it was like Black Friday. They
arrive dollar Fleece at Old Navies. People are knocking over
other people to get it's ridiculous, and it was just
flood gates open and everybody was filling out of the
out of the field and it was so fun to
watch who everybody gravitated toward first and where they would go,
(24:53):
and there were tons of Travis Hunter was there, and
and your boy from LSU was there. I got to
grab a couple of sound bites from him and uh
and and everybody just kind of made their way over
and you're shoving microphones in. You're just trying to get in,
trying to get a question, and trying to go. And
one of the guys who was standing by himself was
a guy that I just happened to know from doing
a couple of events, Senior executive flag football representative from
(25:14):
the National Football League Mike Daniels, who is an incredible
ambassador for the league and for the Shield and is
such a huge fan of Green Bay. And I ran
into him at the first event at the PEP rally
at Vallaville in Mountry and had a chance to visit
with him, but didn't really have a chance to get
with him, And so he's kind of standing by himself.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
I don't want to be with you. I want to
get with you.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
Oh, like, I guess I'll go.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
Talk to Mike.
Speaker 6 (25:36):
Man.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
It was great. So I had a few minutes just
kind of one on one to be able to visit
with Mike and talk about the importance of the National
Football League and why Green Bay is important.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
We'll play a little bit of that right now here
on KISSFM.
Speaker 5 (25:46):
Standing on the field with Mike Daniels, Senior advisor for
the NFL. And Mike, you do such a spectacular job
the Flag in school program, in the NFL Flag program
in general. I had a chance to meet you for
the first time at that yesterday, but then a chance
to watch you with a special Olympians out here today.
What an incredible program that you guys yourhead.
Speaker 15 (26:03):
First of all, it's just a blessing to be able
to be out here. And I think Green Bay is
a special town. It's a football town, title town, and
so have an ability to represent not only this great game,
represent the NFL and the shield and then represent the
NFL flag here throughout the activations throughout the town is amazing.
Speaker 8 (26:24):
And so today was another great event put on by
the team.
Speaker 15 (26:29):
And you know, I'm excited about the rest.
Speaker 8 (26:33):
Of the week.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
How is the town treated you so far?
Speaker 8 (26:35):
Amazing, The food is good, the people are great.
Speaker 15 (26:38):
Football is important, So for me, football is important the
same thing, and so I think it's it's an amazing time.
Speaker 8 (26:45):
It's an amazing situation. You know, there's no complaints.
Speaker 15 (26:49):
The facilities are great, the people are ready to roll,
the kids are amazing, and I think when you think
about it, I was with the prospects earlier today and
they're extremely excited about their uh, their time. Some some
natural anxiety there just with the players, but I think
they're excited.
Speaker 8 (27:07):
They did a great job here at the field.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
From a league standpoint, Mike, what is the relationship of
the Green Bay Packers to the community mean to you
and the shield? It's so special to this community, the
only one that exists of its kind in all of sports.
It'll never happen again. I honestly can't believe it's still
happening now on the landscape of pro sports. It is
such a unique situation. What does that mean for you
as the league to have that Well.
Speaker 15 (27:29):
I'll say this Green Bay as a town and as
an organization, they're one of the blue bloods there. You know,
is a reason why they're one of the originals, and
so I think you always when you when you hold
that title and you you respect that title the way
this town does, it means a lot from an NFL perspective. Obviously,
(27:50):
having at this event, you have the commissioner here and
you have all kinds of legends and people that that
are here to support, and so Green Bay to the
NFL is really Horton and it shows that's why this
event is here.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
If you don't mind me stressing NFL flag once again
and your commitment to that, and not only the commitment
to that, but what it is brought for young athletes,
for folks developing and now especially for girls developing into women.
It's an opportunity for them to not only play the sport,
but to excel at the sport, to represent their country
in the sport, to play professionally in this sport. It
used to be what we did in practice to get
(28:27):
ready for football, so to speak, and now it's a
sport in and of itself.
Speaker 8 (28:31):
You hit it on the head beautifully.
Speaker 15 (28:33):
And when you think about this, for over one hundred years,
we've done whatever we needed to do, whatever part of town,
however poor, however rich, the towns were to make sure
that the boys played football and they had their opportunity
to grow, be a teammate, learn go play college football.
Speaker 8 (28:51):
And do those things.
Speaker 15 (28:52):
Now, the beautiful thing is is that the NFL, led
by Roger Cadell and Troy Vincent have given these ladies
and opportunortunity to do what we've been doing for over
one hundred years and have the opportunity to go be
playing high school and go get a varsity letter right
going college and be on scholarship, to go represent your
(29:12):
country and play for on the Olympics, and then more
and more, most importantly, what's coming down the line is
be a professional.
Speaker 8 (29:18):
And so it's an amazing time for flag football.
Speaker 15 (29:22):
Globally, it's an amazing time for football because it's a
great transition through and then it's an amazing time for
it for everybody, including the NFL. So we're grateful that
the country, the world has really taken on the responsibility
of saying, hey, let's make sure that we give another
avenue and grow this game. But more specifically, let's be
sure that we give our young ladies an opportunity to
(29:44):
be big time hand opportunity to be superstars.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
Well, thank you so much, Mike for taking the time.
Thanks for everything that you're doing out here. We appreciate
it so much.
Speaker 8 (29:52):
Thank you so much. Appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Thanks Nick.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
Appreciate that Nick live at the NFL Draft. Actually gonna
hear from Tyler Booker, will Hamble Mark Murphy this morning too,
So if you want to join us, we would love
to see you. Live at the bar on homegrod Way
NFL Draft. It's hot zerne Kiss FM. If you're covering
the draft today, going to be cloud spotting, showers, not
(30:14):
as warm with a high of fifty nine. It is
fifty one right now at Kiss FM live at the
bar Home Grown Way.
Speaker 6 (30:22):
We're under the tent right next to the main entrance.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
You'll see the line right now as they line up
for Dan Patrick, who's going to be in there this morning.
It is the twenty fourth of April.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
It was on this day the Library of Congress was established.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Oh really, five.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Thousand dollars allocation for the purchase of such books as
may be necessary.
Speaker 6 (30:42):
It was what they said.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
And then am I wrong on this? That we lost
like everything, and then Thomas Jefferson had to donate basically
his entire collection.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
I believe that's the library. I believe that is a
story of fire.
Speaker 6 (30:55):
I believe that is a story.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Now it has thirty more than thirty million in books,
five hundred and thirty miles of shelves.
Speaker 5 (31:04):
Do you feel a little bit like now? It is
essentially just a basement, rubber made.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
It is your basement, except in set of bobbleheads that
you don't collect.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
It's books.
Speaker 5 (31:14):
Like are they coming in and taking me? Like, hey,
I'm looking for the grapes of Wrath? Like, let me
take a look, Let me take a look, let me
take a look. Go to the g's I got, I
got Gadsby looks like grapes of Rath has been checked out.
Our Dewey decimal system is the length of pie? How
far back do you guys have Chaucer too?
Speaker 4 (31:33):
Or well, how far back do we go looking for
the first edition.
Speaker 6 (31:36):
Of the Bible?
Speaker 5 (31:38):
We have that, yes, Gideon, but is it signed?
Speaker 4 (31:41):
Here are the Dead Sea scrolls. These are the originals
dead Sea scroll This.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Jefferson was a big fan. He kept these under his bed.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
We also have Rolling Stone magazine, back when it used
to be a magazine and not a leaflet.
Speaker 6 (31:55):
Oh, I would ever say Rolling Stone magazine is a leaflet.
It's like I'd call it craft.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
It's a pam now. It's really if you want to
open up a.
Speaker 7 (32:02):
Magazine with the worst, the worst surveys of what they
think people like, yeah, then you get Rolling Stone.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
There you go, yes, big.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
Fan, this would have been I think I think this
was Washington Still who did it, and then Jefferson replenished it.
So I'm gonna say seventeen ninety six to eighteen.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
I'll say seventeen seventeen ninety two ninety eight.
Speaker 6 (32:30):
It's eighteen hundred.
Speaker 5 (32:32):
Oh this is the oh yeah, so then, yeah, this
is the.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Day when Wesley Snipes was convicted of tax evasion sentenced
to three years in prison.
Speaker 5 (32:42):
Let's go two thousand and seven, and really put an
end to his fitness journey with total Jim and that
was the real rub. Yeah, that's what really sucked because
he was working so hard on that and he was
really getting into the best shape of his life using
his body weight for resistance training and then not anymore
Joe who.
Speaker 6 (32:57):
Was heavy Billy Blake's yeah, good call.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
That really helped him that time. Both things took off.
Speaker 5 (33:02):
That Chuck Norris kicked his A when he got vicked
to that, like, what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Man?
Speaker 5 (33:06):
You and I had a thing? Is how I think
Chuck Norris sounded. I think he was way calmer.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
I don't think he kicked the A. I think the
A showed up and just let him have it. He
the just came to the door and said, here, Chuck,
I'm here for He shot.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Literal darts from his Chuck Norris eyes and he killed him.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
Jeez, when was that?
Speaker 3 (33:27):
What did you say? Ninety six two thousand and seven.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
I'm gonna say ninety six two thousand and eight.
Speaker 9 (33:32):
Wow, nice job.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
Holy I've lost all track of time.
Speaker 8 (33:35):
That to me.
Speaker 5 (33:36):
More thing earlier you're.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Listening and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were established as an
NFL franchise on this.
Speaker 6 (33:45):
Nowhere under my hat.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
Hey, look at you, big comedy Thursday.
Speaker 9 (33:52):
Every bottle boy.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
That was dynamite. When does the comedy started?
Speaker 16 (33:57):
Start?
Speaker 9 (33:58):
Right now?
Speaker 6 (34:00):
I can't take credit for that joke. That that was
a mino joke that he taught me. It's good credit
where credit is?
Speaker 4 (34:08):
I don't think that joke is worthy of credit.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
I do, I do.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
They weren't sure where to put him actually when they
first started. But the guy, one of the original presidents,
he had this gigantic wooden wheel around his neck and
he walk around with him like where are you going?
And he goes, I don't, I don't know, And they said, well,
what where? Like what is that thing? Doing around your
neck driving.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
They were steering their way to Tampa Bay. It was
a long way ago. What if we do it like that?
What are we going striving me next?
Speaker 6 (34:41):
Are you no credit or buddy for that one?
Speaker 4 (34:44):
Yeah, it's a Murphy joke. I've ever heard one.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Yeah, let me put If I put my hand over
my eye like this will not help.
Speaker 5 (34:56):
What if I produce a parrot on my shoulder? Please
take off my shoe peg leg nineteen.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
Seventy five, four five four?
Speaker 6 (35:12):
Oh, he grabbed the bell.
Speaker 7 (35:13):
Whatever one of the two though, Okay, you said seventy
four seventy.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
Four or five four?
Speaker 6 (35:19):
I'm gonna go four nineteen seventy three.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
Four.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
This was the day Darryl Strawberry was sentenced to six
months of home confinement order to pay three hundred and
fifty thousand dollars in like should have learned for Wesley's pipes,
tag taxes.
Speaker 5 (35:35):
Straw Straw, Dude, Straw was a mess nineteen ninety two.
One of the most gifted athletes in the history of
the planet and just a mess.
Speaker 6 (35:42):
Actually, Wesley should have learned from him, look at it.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Ninety three.
Speaker 6 (35:47):
Nineteen ninety five.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
Eli Manning selected by the San Diego Chargers as the
number one NFL draft pick.
Speaker 6 (35:53):
They traded them less than an hour later to the
Giant against Eli Manning.
Speaker 7 (35:56):
I'm not gonna watch you are a wandy, little poudy
little Yeah.
Speaker 6 (36:01):
I that I just don't agree with that.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
That's not how drafts work.
Speaker 6 (36:05):
Yeah, it obviously worked out for him, but I just don't.
I thought it was such a bad example. But what
are they here?
Speaker 8 (36:11):
I was.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
Bad.
Speaker 5 (36:14):
It was so Archie. His dad was in on that
as well, like it was.
Speaker 6 (36:18):
It left such a south. It is why that's.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Why we're all entitled. It is because of Eli Manning.
The entire world feels entitled because of Eli.
Speaker 6 (36:27):
To me, Peyton Manning will always be the superior brother.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
Hey, there you go. And it was not unprecedented. John
Elway had done the same thing.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Barry Sanderson and John Elway.
Speaker 17 (36:36):
Though.
Speaker 6 (36:36):
Let's talk about John Alway.
Speaker 7 (36:38):
Hey, let's throw your backup quarterback out there, and he's
literally doing all he can and he's winning.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
But yeah, trash, let's trash m let's trash him the game.
Speaker 6 (36:46):
Great idea, John Elway Way to be a leader.
Speaker 5 (36:49):
Yeah, that's still the part of the narrative that Packers
fans forget during the draft when it was we could
have had Barry Sanders.
Speaker 8 (36:54):
I mean we.
Speaker 6 (36:55):
Couldn't always hear and you just heard me say that.
Speaker 5 (36:57):
Oh my gosh, it is possible.
Speaker 6 (36:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
I saw him walk by yesterday.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Did you no remember the guy was wearing the ol
Way jersey.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
Continue, it's a forgotten part of.
Speaker 5 (37:08):
The narrative during that draft when we got the incredible bust.
Barry Sanders wasn't gonna play here. He flat out said
he wouldn't play hers.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Don't you draft me?
Speaker 5 (37:15):
I'm not gonna play there. So it was like, all right,
I can't.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
That's not how drafts.
Speaker 6 (37:20):
Apparently it is like board They never taught you get
what you get and you don't throw a fit. No,
they were not.
Speaker 7 (37:25):
And if that's the case, then why does anybody except
anyone but a Super Bowl contender?
Speaker 6 (37:29):
I don't why to blame me?
Speaker 5 (37:31):
Yeah, well, when you look at it, man, why not
San Diego? I mean New York is great and everything,
and he went two Super Bowls there, but San Diego
is a way better.
Speaker 6 (37:39):
Eli was like, I want to play for San Diego.
Yeah out san Diego?
Speaker 5 (37:43):
Yaeg super Doargers?
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Sandy yay, go Dodgers.
Speaker 6 (37:48):
This would have been when did he retire years ago?
He was young retired?
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Yeah, and I'm going the opposite away.
Speaker 5 (37:58):
I'm thinking of the eight champion any I think it
was still first contracts they.
Speaker 7 (38:04):
Won on that boat and they want to no, no,
remember before it was the bye week and they went
on a little cruise.
Speaker 6 (38:11):
It wasn't the like sexual cruise that the Vikings did,
but I think they all went to like Yankoon or
something and then they lost to us. Okay, I remember
like that was a big thing. That was a big thing.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Yeah, used saying that wasn't the.
Speaker 6 (38:22):
Year we won the Super Bowl?
Speaker 10 (38:23):
Was it?
Speaker 6 (38:23):
No?
Speaker 3 (38:24):
I don't think.
Speaker 6 (38:24):
So what year do we win the Super Bowl?
Speaker 3 (38:27):
Thirty one?
Speaker 8 (38:28):
Six?
Speaker 3 (38:28):
You're thinking of? Yeah, ninety six, season ninety seven?
Speaker 6 (38:30):
That was what was the one we went with Aaron.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
Rodgers forty five? So that was twenty eleven.
Speaker 7 (38:34):
So twenty eleven, So I'm gonna say's twenty third, No,
that happened twenty thirteen.
Speaker 6 (38:37):
I'm gonna say retired to what are we guess that
he got drafted?
Speaker 3 (38:40):
When he got drafted, I'm gonna say, o, all four.
I think I feel like.
Speaker 18 (38:42):
It was a.
Speaker 7 (38:43):
I think I was on the radio and I was
real mad and I could talk about it. So I'm
going to say two thousand and four as well.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
Yeah, two thousand and four have Yeah, I took a long.
Speaker 7 (38:54):
Away for us to get there. Did you see that?

Speaker 4 (39:07):
National Pigs in a Blanket Day?
Speaker 6 (39:09):
Okay, what do you consider pigs in a blanket?
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Pigs in a blanket would be either sausage or a
mini hot dog inside a crescent roll that Katie has
rolled up.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
That's not it, as look at your smirk.
Speaker 10 (39:22):
You can't hurt me.
Speaker 7 (39:24):
You can't hurt me because some people view it delivered the.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
Line straight ahead, so there was a studio audience in
front of you, and then turned your head with a
smurk like you got me, Yeah, I got you.
Speaker 6 (39:39):
I'll think it's breakfast sausage in pancakes.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
Yes, that's good.
Speaker 6 (39:41):
Yeah, my mom, it was bacon steak wrapped in bacon.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Okay, I'll take that. That's weird, but.
Speaker 6 (39:47):
I'll take a shit huge chance pepper Steak.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
It is Love Your Five's Day, National Pet Care for

Speaker 4 (41:01):
As part of media Day yesterday, we had access to
some of the top prospects. In fact, Brittain's boyfriend Ryan
sent her a message at work to say that, oh
my god, I can't believe.
Speaker 6 (41:13):
You're datils on the field with all the top prospects
I just sold.
Speaker 8 (41:15):
The pictures are so cool.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
I actually got to talk to a couple of them. Nick,
you were in the thick of it all, yes.
Speaker 5 (41:21):
Shoving my mic anywhere I could put my mic.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
I mean, it really was.
Speaker 5 (41:24):
It was, and I talked about it yesterday, it was
today was yesterday. Do you want to do this yes?
Speaker 3 (41:30):
Do you want to go there?
Speaker 7 (41:30):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (41:31):
You want to talk to him?
Speaker 10 (41:32):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (41:32):
And the madness of it, You're just kind of shoving
microphones and people's faces and everybody's trying to get their
questions in. But Ashton Gent from Boise State running back prospect,
was one of the most entertaining guys there and one
of the most engaging and really took time to answer
the questions and do follow up questions and it was great.
But it strikes you when you talk to them how
each one of their kids. These are college young men,
(41:56):
they really are, and their entire world still ahead of them.
National Football League Draft weekend Draft. They know they're gonna go.
They know they're gonna get pucked out of the green.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Like if you think about it, these teams are gambling
millions and millions and millions of dollars and their future
on somebody who maybe just learned how to do their
own laundry like it.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
I don't mean that at their kids.
Speaker 5 (42:18):
And for the most part, as much as we look
at it kind of from the outside and you go,
oh my.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
Gosh, these guys have their whole world ahead of them.
They're so lucky.
Speaker 5 (42:26):
There is an insane amount of pressure on these young
men to now live up to what is this top
draft prospect label they're get I think of my son right.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
Now and the pressure he's feeling for it being draft
week at Drifted, and I'm like, dude, you don't even
know what pressure is.
Speaker 6 (42:39):
Think of these guys.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
And and Ashton was great and had a chance to
ask him what where his kind of mindset is and
and he just flat out sid He's trying not to
think about it too much.
Speaker 19 (42:49):
Yeah, But at the same time, now I'm in a
place where I'm like, no, because I'm just gonna be
your mind's gonna be swirling all day trying to think
about where you could possibly go because you have no idea.
Speaker 5 (43:01):
But one of the funniest things was they were he
was super open to just the.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Wacko question anything he wanted. It was great.
Speaker 5 (43:07):
And and every guy that as you went around, you
could tell the different media people who had the one
question they wanted to try to get in. And there
was one guy who was walking around and it was
all he asked, every single one of them, did you
always want to be a football player?
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Did you always want to do this?
Speaker 18 (43:20):
Is?
Speaker 3 (43:20):
This is what you thought? And his answer was actually hilarious.
Speaker 8 (43:25):
Man.
Speaker 19 (43:25):
When I was you know, pee wee harmony nom, I
think I think I wanted to be a pilot, you know,
five plans.
Speaker 5 (43:33):
Yeah, and then he followed up with so in case
of an emergency, could you land one?
Speaker 8 (43:38):
Oh yeah, definitely? Easy?
Speaker 4 (43:40):
Oh good?
Speaker 3 (43:41):
The best. The best with Eshton was I love that.
Everybody in house then looked a him, and the guy
who asked him the question just goes, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (43:48):
I don't believe, I don't know. He goes, no, No,
he'd be easy man, easy yeah, And it was. He
was one of the most lighthearted guys who was out there.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
He grow he's grown up in the YouTube generation. If
I don't know how to do it, I'll just YouTube it.
It'll be a TikTok.
Speaker 5 (44:00):
And there was a part of me that was sitting
there thinking, all right, if this guy was a joy sticker,
and he's a gamer like he probably he probably thinks
he could land that thing.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
I'd ever want to be called a joy you know?
Is that not what the nickname you want?
Speaker 5 (44:12):
Because you can you can do that, you can do
the handheld gaming, you can do the computer style, or
you can be the one who invests in the equipment
and you got the steering.
Speaker 7 (44:18):
You're not joy Yeah, why you want to be called
the joystick walked in on not me.
Speaker 4 (44:23):
Definitely don't say equipment in the same sentence.

Kiss up where so I am? Okay, so I'll get there.
(01:03:36):
Hey guys, Sorry, guys, I don't know if you can
hear me. It's it's actually pretty loud behind me. The
traffic is really starting.
Speaker 10 (01:03:42):
To pick up.
Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
And uh, and I'm a little disoriented at the moment.
I parked I'm down here and Fond de Lac and
just kind of park it on Johnson Street and I'm
I'm just kind of hooking it at this point.
Speaker 9 (01:03:54):
I don't want to risk it.
Speaker 6 (01:03:55):
Oh you're in finite because I thought you at Kenny.
Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
I gotta be honest, I don't know where the age
I am. I just kind of started walking and I
don't want to get on the interstate because it's pretty
crowded right now, so I'm sort of on the side streets,
weaving my way up. I found it. I mean there's
a street or on it called Green Bay Am and
I figured that would take me there. Oh yeah, I
don't even think that's where I am. Guys, lady at
home Zepo.
Speaker 7 (01:04:18):
What's crazy is I was under the impression you were
on Lombardi, and Lombardy has no traffic, so I don't
know where all of like these horrid Yeah no, they're
pretty loud.
Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
I was thumbing it actually a little bit earlier, so
I think I'm pretty decent ride north. But then the
guy's like he's going to Hussars or something.
Speaker 10 (01:04:35):
I was like, is that with man?
Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
So I don't I don't know actually where I am guys,
I just know I don't want any part of the traffic.
I gotta be.
Speaker 8 (01:04:44):
Honest with you.
Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
Well, but we have you specifically on steam to give
us traffic updates for folks coming to the draft today.
Where should they go, what should they avoid get there,
and what if they need lunch? I'll get there morning. Yes,
good morning to you.
Speaker 4 (01:04:55):
Okay, so is this east?
Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
I'm going east?
Speaker 8 (01:04:58):
Which is not this?
Speaker 1 (01:04:59):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
I grew up in a different part of the state
where the lake was always east, and I don't you know,
I'll I'll just get a ride from maybe one of
these shuttles. Hey, the shuttles here. Hey, you guys going
to Greenville? Okay, Yeah, awesome, guys, this is great news.
I found out I am actually an Oshkosh now and
uh and this shuttle's gonna take me perfect Curly on
(01:05:20):
the shuttle with you, I think he is, which is
weird because I heard it with you guys.
Speaker 10 (01:05:26):
All ready to get on?
Speaker 9 (01:05:27):
Ye you usually guy jump on a train.
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
Yeah, Curley and I were talking earlier because I said
some of the streets now back then it was just gravel.
I mean, it wasn't even like these were paved.
Speaker 9 (01:05:36):
Yes, I don't know what that is.
Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
A mere suggestion back in Curley's days as to whether
or not this street would actually go through. It is
a lot easier then.
Speaker 6 (01:05:46):
He just kind of kept going.
Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
There was nothing here. But right now, guys, the concrete
jungle is all paved, and when I do arrive, I
do anticipate that we're probably gonna have some backups inter
State forty one north and southbound. If you're coming from
the north, I would probably recommend getting off a Mason.
Speaker 4 (01:06:02):
Sounds like that traffic so already kind of a bit
of an issue.
Speaker 3 (01:06:08):
It's what we got the windows down. Yeah, yeah, I
would recommend a Mason exit there or just I don't know.
I mean, it's free. Do you really need to come
at this point?
Speaker 4 (01:06:19):
I mean, what it's gonna be nuts?
Speaker 6 (01:06:21):
You know, speaking from the shuttle, is there a lot
of room? Or like, do you and Curly a tohar
on one of us, which.
Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
Is like, but it's just the two of you on
the bus, two of us on the bus.
Speaker 9 (01:06:33):
Well, I was trying to stay warm.
Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
It's cold windows.
Speaker 10 (01:06:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
There was a guy here earlier coming out with one
of those double wide strollers with his family, and we
just kind of waved him off.
Speaker 6 (01:06:42):
Like, no, does he know he's not on the way
to Disney.
Speaker 5 (01:06:45):
No?
Speaker 10 (01:06:45):
Yeah, well he.
Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Said Magic Kingdom, And I was like, guys, I don't
know where we are to me, that's what I tell him.
I think we're traveling toward that Sue at this point,
actually the bus to Heaven with yeah, I mean, I
gotta be EAT's just I'm doing what and uh And
I'm hoping the driver won't even talk to us anymore.
(01:07:06):
He's a little annoyed, but we're figuring we'd make room.
So I was sitting on his lap.
Speaker 4 (01:07:11):
All right, Steve, real quick.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
We're getting texts in here nine to two, eight one
zero a ninety five nine. People want to know if
they're coming to the draft today, before they get to
all the activities, where should they grab lunch?
Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Oh man, okay, that's a good question. It looks like
there's a little mom and pop place kind of around
here where we are, looks like breakfast. If you're gonna
grab lunch, just come here and get all the food trucks.
You guys, It's gonna smell great when I get there.
Speaker 6 (01:07:35):
I was listening to you earlier.
Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
Maybe some Bouya or Uncle Mike Springle or something like that,
or saw a pretzel or you get into that draft house.
We had an opportunity to go into the packers everywhere,
draft house, brons, cheese, curds, sliders, they got all sorts
of stuff in there. I would recommend not eating till
you get here because it is Maybe that's what that
guy thought with that stroller. Ye, and it's a little
bit like dizzy. I think I think we're on a
(01:07:57):
ride right now. Actually it sounds like we are one.
That's weird. I thought it shut out but in your
world maybe And Mark kind of hearing that.
Speaker 6 (01:08:06):
Mark wants to know if Rosedale police are in full
enforcement today.
Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
Oh yeah, guys, the police are everywhere they're gonna be.
I mean they're pretty much out in a boot, as
they like to say. They're pretty much like all over.
They called in a lot of those guys. Yesterday we
were walking around. There were just dogs everywhere sniffing us,
and I was like, yeah, tried to pat one of them.
I lost a finger, which is fine.
Speaker 10 (01:08:26):
I guess you're not.
Speaker 9 (01:08:26):
Supposed to pet up no count to nine now get yeah, yeah,
and that's that'll be fine.
Speaker 3 (01:08:31):
We'll get a niner in there. I can always go
back to the previous hand to get to ten. But
this is uh, this is great guys.
Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
All right, Steve on the street with all your traffic information, maybe.
Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
I should ask you when I get up there, where
should I go? Like Shady or something or Shadow it's
the same street, Kitty right, Yeah, Shady Lane.
Speaker 4 (01:08:49):
It's a great place to party.
Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
Oh yeah, when I get up there, maybe I'll try
to find you guys. Yeah, we're going the wrong way.
Speaker 4 (01:08:55):
We'd love to see you.
Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
Yeah, you too. Well, maybe tomorrow I can check back
in with you, guys if I'm actually on a street
near you.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
That would be Handy Morris or something. Live at the Draft.

Food Fund.

Speaker 9 (01:11:34):
I walked five miles every day to get.
Speaker 4 (01:11:36):
To practice and back with a hot potato in your hand,
that's two thousand steps.
Speaker 9 (01:11:41):
What yes, hot potato and a sausage and the breakfast.
I don't have a headphone.
Speaker 6 (01:11:50):
Although I was gonna say, and you were early, because
that's what Lombardy says. But you're a curling.
Speaker 9 (01:11:54):
Fifteen minutes late late. Wait, if you're fifteen minutes early,
that means John top gosh, I'm screwing up myself.
Speaker 3 (01:12:02):
You're fifteen minutes later. You cut cut from the teams.
Speaker 9 (01:12:06):
Smoking during the game and now drinking during the game.
Speaker 5 (01:12:09):
Oh here once in a while on the sideline.
Speaker 9 (01:12:13):
There, Well, I would, but nobody else is allowed to her.
Speaker 3 (01:12:16):
That's fair, that's right, guy.
Speaker 4 (01:12:18):
What's your next what is do you know Frank from
let me be Frank good looking Man?
Speaker 20 (01:12:22):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
Do you know what his next show is?
Speaker 9 (01:12:24):
And that new show called Brent the Musical. It's a
show about a guy who can't make up his mind.
I wrote the show, or he wrote the show, but
a guy called Bret Fov but I can't say that, neighbor.
Speaker 3 (01:12:34):
I'll get sued.
Speaker 9 (01:12:35):
So it's called Brent the Musical. He's a fantastic slow
pitch softball player who plays for the bar we're here
right now, but he's thinking about retiring because a young
hopstock called Darian Rogers is coming up behind him. So
the stadium view across the road comes a calling, and
they want Brent to be the slow pitch softball player.
And her name is Lisa Purple, and he sends us
(01:12:56):
some texts. Okay, that's the store.
Speaker 6 (01:13:02):
At Lisa Purple.
Speaker 4 (01:13:06):
Sounds snagly familiar. I don't know what that is, man,
What you're gonna love here?
Speaker 5 (01:13:09):
Curly? I don't know if you had your chance to
work your way outside of this end of the draft village,
sort of the east side of it. But the stadium
over there actually has your name on it.
Speaker 9 (01:13:18):
You know I noticed that. I was gonna say, what's
going on here? What's going on? Wait? Did I say
that that was? That was Lamble's and what the hell's
going on out there? Stole that from my buddy Lambbody?
Speaker 8 (01:13:31):
Did it?
Speaker 9 (01:13:32):
Lum Lambbody? They called him not a Lombody as Lamble.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
So last night we were at the Taste of the Draft,
which is a very very really like a very cool
event with local supper clubs. When I say local, all
throughout Wisconsin supper clubs there, and of course there's your
hobnobbin with some people, but there's at one point I'm
trying to get inside to start sampling food, and Mark
Murphy is standing there right by the front door, and
(01:13:56):
there's a crowd of people obviously around him, and I
don't want to walk through that crowd.
Speaker 4 (01:14:00):
Because I'll be interrupting their pictures and their flow.
Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
And I also don't want to walk directly behind him
because it seems rude since his wife is standing there.
Speaker 6 (01:14:08):
So I kind of wait.
Speaker 4 (01:14:09):
He walks up to me.
Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
I don't need to say hi to him. He doesn't
know me, but he's just a nice guy. So he
says Hi, I go Hi, you know, mister Murphy, nice
to meet you. I'm going to stay with Kiss FM.
And he goes, oh yeah with Katie and Nick. He goes,
love what you guys are doing over there? And I went,
I feel like, you know who I am now?
Speaker 4 (01:14:26):
Yeah, Wow, it's kind of a big deal.
Speaker 9 (01:14:29):
You're kind of a big deal.
Speaker 8 (01:14:30):
No, I'm not.
Speaker 3 (01:14:31):
I was just excited he knew them. Yeah, that's what
I was excited about. I was like, Katie, Katie, he
knew who you were, and she's again.
Speaker 6 (01:14:36):
It's fine, Oh you're the guy.
Speaker 9 (01:14:37):
The guy could say he knows a lot of folks.
Speaker 7 (01:14:41):
That was the part that I really enjoyed about Tastes
of the Draft last night is we got to see
some people that we worked with in the past.
Speaker 10 (01:14:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:14:49):
You're like, You're like, do you do you remember me?
Speaker 10 (01:14:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:14:53):
And it was really nice.
Speaker 7 (01:14:54):
Of course, at one point I did feel like I
was annoying girl to Billy.
Speaker 3 (01:14:59):
Oh yea.
Speaker 6 (01:15:01):
For those that are new here, we like to call
Bill after the games.
Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
Because you know what Bill does.
Speaker 6 (01:15:08):
Yeah, you explain to the folks driving who don't know
who Bill is.
Speaker 3 (01:15:11):
Although we.
Speaker 6 (01:15:13):
Are we allowed to say what he does because isn't
it kind of a secret.
Speaker 5 (01:15:16):
Well, I mean he works for the league for infraction
infringe or infraction enforcement should so.
Speaker 6 (01:15:24):
He sits on the sidelines and if your socks are
falling down.
Speaker 3 (01:15:28):
He's a spotter basically for the league. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:15:33):
So he lets us call him the day after and
he he aroundabout way, lets us know if anyone got
I think that's the party is not allowed to really share.
Speaker 9 (01:15:42):
Probably.
Speaker 7 (01:15:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:15:44):
The way the way it goes, it's hysterical how it happens.
They're literally served a Manila envelope. Really, they get in
and it's in the lockers and the league and it's
the fine.
Speaker 3 (01:15:53):
Whatever they get.
Speaker 10 (01:15:53):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:15:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
So it's always he's getting an envelope next week billions.
Speaker 6 (01:15:57):
I can't yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:15:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:15:59):
So when I saw him your show, I was like,
will you come on? And he was like yes.
Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
It was amazing as we were standing there with him
and just monopolizing him as people are waiting in line. Yeah,
and he kept he was like okay, good, okay, all right, good, yes,
so we're good.
Speaker 7 (01:16:17):
And then I went back to him like three times,
but not on purpose, because I was like, ok, I'm
gonna make sure Nick STAPs by that. At one point
he's trying to get rid of me, and he goes, hey,
are you going to talk to Ryan who's across room him?
Speaker 6 (01:16:30):
And I go Ryan who? And he goes, are you like.
Speaker 7 (01:16:34):
Katie long Long? Well yeah, I was like oh, And
then I go, I can't and he goes, why can't you?
I go, I talked a lot of crap about Ryan
loong One, So I said I really can't say hi
to him, and he goes, what did you say? And
I go, well, I was a little offended that he
thought Applebee's was the only restaurants.
Speaker 6 (01:16:52):
In Green Bay.
Speaker 7 (01:16:58):
So I'm like, I'm really not and I'm not gonna
be first in line. So then it even got to
the point where Nick One does say I to him,
and I predunded that I was nixt like media.
Speaker 6 (01:17:05):
Person, this is put your hand up like like like
I wouldn't make eye.
Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
Contact my face.
Speaker 7 (01:17:14):
The entire time because I was like please, don't like
please please, because I feel like anyone's gonna confront me.
Speaker 6 (01:17:20):
It's going to be Ryan almost like was a real bee.
Speaker 3 (01:17:24):
Yeah, you know what was funny to talk to.
Speaker 5 (01:17:28):
It was really funny to talk to Ryan and forget
that he was he was gone and he was out
of the league at this point, before the extra point
got backed up and before all the different kicking rules
can change and adapt, and he looks incredible, and I said,
you could probably still get it done. You could probably
still kick a little bit. And he goes, yeah, I
mean I could kick. He goes, but man, you know
how far back that extra point is now? And he goes,
I mean I made more than I missed. And he goes,
(01:17:48):
I'm not so sure anymore. And he goes, it's changed
so much and the operation has changed so much now.
Speaker 3 (01:17:55):
He looks really looks fantastic.
Speaker 5 (01:17:57):
And it was funny to talk to to some of
the guys who your memory just sort of gets gets
messed up along the way of how long it's been
since these guys were kicking and in the league well.
Speaker 7 (01:18:07):
And then at one point I went up to Tremont
Williams and I was like, hey, so, I don't know
if you remember we used to do a show, and
he was, oh, my gosh, I remember.
Speaker 6 (01:18:15):
Yes, yes, you know.
Speaker 7 (01:18:16):
Hi Katie, good to see you. And I go, okay,
good because I was ready to pull name drop James
Jones because they used to share sweet together and they're
best friends.
Speaker 6 (01:18:25):
And he was like, you're fine. You didn't need to
name drop dreams Stow. I go, but I will.
Speaker 21 (01:18:30):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (01:18:31):
Well, then I went up to Frank Winners and I
was like, hey, I go. I would feel wrong if
I didn't say Hi, I go.
Speaker 7 (01:18:39):
I worked with Mino for a long because he would
always go on Mino show like that was with Mino.
Speaker 8 (01:18:44):
And Nick and I go.
Speaker 7 (01:18:46):
I would just feel wrong not saying Hi, can we
get a picture? And I want to send it to Mino?
Speaker 6 (01:18:49):
And he was just like yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:18:56):
And then I was like I was so then at
this point and nobody was like in line to talk
to him. So I'm like, okay, so I'm just gonna
keep talking. I'm and I go, so, are you are
you gonna go on my no show?
Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:19:07):
Okay, good talk?
Speaker 6 (01:19:09):
And I go tomorrow and he goes, I was on today,
and I go, are you gonna go on.
Speaker 10 (01:19:15):
To this year?
Speaker 9 (01:19:19):
You gotta have a video podcast to see your face?
I wish we had that right now.
Speaker 14 (01:19:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:19:24):
Like I was just like, all right, because this is
anyone who knows me well too. This is my worst time.
Speaker 7 (01:19:28):
I'm so bad at small talking. I hate small talking
with the passion with a passion. Mason was awesome.
Speaker 5 (01:19:34):
He was incredible.
Speaker 6 (01:19:35):
Yeah, Mason remembered us right away, and it.
Speaker 5 (01:19:37):
Was so surreal to stand in that room and the
gold Jackets in that room most recently Leroy Leroy Butler
if if you're from out of town and uh and
Dave Robinson there and James.
Speaker 7 (01:19:49):
Often I made a picture, but when I just said,
I only took these because my husband would be so
mad at me if I got.
Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
The football autographed for for what of your what are
your kids? I don't even know who was autographing did.
That's the difference. You guys are all geeked.
Speaker 4 (01:20:01):
I'm like, I don't even know whose side of this
here it was?
Speaker 5 (01:20:04):
What was one of the great things And it's actually
we should probably dedicate an entire segment at the point,
you know, today or tomorrow about the legacy of Mark
Murphy and what he left behind, and because this is
kind of his swan song, this is that one of
the greatest things he's done here in his time was
establishing these types of relationships, the alumni relationships, and how
important that was to him to build that relationship.
Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
He built the alumni suite. It's the only one that's
kind in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (01:20:29):
And it's the opportunity to bring these men back who
have meant so much to the community and so much
to the team, and so much to literally our lives
in our backyard. And it's a big thing that that
Mark has done. And so to have these Hall of
famers there who took the time not to sign a ball,
took the time to talk to you, ask you about
your life or what do you who do you work for?
Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Oh my gosh, all that's great.
Speaker 5 (01:20:51):
James was great. He goes Kiss FM, absolutely and it
was It was just incredible to stand in the room
with these men who treated you like you were the
person they can to see so cool that relationship was
just surreal and it was amazing to stand in the
room with all of those guys.
Speaker 2 (01:21:06):
Mart Murphy speaking with everybody yesterday about what this draft
means and having it in Green Bay and we've got
that right now here on KISSFM.
Speaker 18 (01:21:14):
I want to talk a little.
Speaker 17 (01:21:15):
Bit about Packers everywhere. It's a great program and we
started platform, we started back in twenty eleven, and all
I didn't want to just talk a little about it
kind of the origins of Packers everywhere, and I'm the bride.
A little bit about my daughter Emily Emily Traine apples
her name now, but she worked for a company called
Blue State Digital.
Speaker 13 (01:21:36):
Blue State Digital was pretty famous because it because it
helped Barack Obama get elected, but they also my daughter,
Emily Luday Digital came up with the concept of packers everywhere.
Speaker 17 (01:21:49):
Our packers are everywhere, packer fans are everywhere. And the
real hole follow was how can we try them together?
And so they came up with the idea that you know,
you put your code. They got a packer bars all
over the world, and I will never forget it.
Speaker 8 (01:22:05):
Was in two thousand and fourteen.
Speaker 4 (01:22:07):
I think it was two thousand and twelve.
Speaker 22 (01:22:09):
It was the very first time they decided we want
to have the packers out to wear a pep rally.
And it was in Arizona. We were playing the Cardinals
in the first round of the playoffs and we said, well,
let's have this cup rally.
Speaker 17 (01:22:22):
We'll see what kind of crowd we got, not knowing
what the how many people would be there.
Speaker 22 (01:22:27):
When we got to the bar, the line literally doubled
and went all around the around the bar. It was
unbelievable and it continues to be just a real popular,
popular website and popular platform for us. Is it really
it highlights the unique nature of the packers that we've
got fans everywhere so really excited about that. And you
(01:22:51):
know that the spirit of the Wisconsin Dive Bar is
definitely a part of the when we are at our
cup rallies, and you can really find that.
Speaker 17 (01:22:58):
The way out and quite you see what we set
up here at phenomenal.
Speaker 3 (01:23:02):
It'll allow NFL friends.
Speaker 17 (01:23:05):
From near and far and burst themselves in Wisconsin traditions,
culture and by joining a quintessential dive bar environment right
here inside the draft camp.
Speaker 2 (01:23:17):
We are live at the bar home ground way. It
is a draft day kicking off today. We've got Curly
Lambeau with us. We're gonna have Tammy Elliott and Emerson
Lehman from WBA Y joining us coming up after eighty
is seven forty six that them and don't forget we
teamed up with Quick Trip and we're doing free gas
Friday tomorrow, so we'll have gas cards fifty dollars Quick
(01:23:37):
Trip gas cards we're giving out tomorrow morning three times
from the Bar live and then read Eddie tomorrow afternoon.
Speaker 4 (01:23:44):
We'll have them to.
Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
Free gas Fridays with Quick Trip and the number one
it ISIC station. We are ninety five to nine Kiss FM.
If you're coming into town for the NFL Draft, please
stop by the bar. We're on Home Grown Away. You
can literally see lambeau Field from here. Curly and Curly
Lambeau is with us today.
Speaker 4 (01:24:02):
Ranking We had Nick ran a mock draft yesterday with
a little help from our AI friends.
Speaker 5 (01:24:14):
Yeah, if you think if you think we've you know,
for everyone who's like, oh my gosh, dude, AI is
the greatest, and there are still a few things we
apparently need to work out. I get super into the
mock draft stuff, into all of this, but I think
my favorite part about especially opening day first round, is
that you never know. You absolutely do not know until
(01:24:34):
this draft opens, and you can be the biggest expert
in the world with everybody in your little phone contact
list and all the guys you've talked to, but in
the end, you don't necessarily know what's gonna happen until
it happens.
Speaker 3 (01:24:45):
And then you get a run on a position and
it screws.
Speaker 5 (01:24:47):
Up everybody's draft board and you really have no idea
how a general manager, despite what they might tell you,
you really have no clue how their draft board is
set up in their war room, which positions there going for.
Are they drafting for need versus best player available? Are
the what their goals are, how they have ranked these
respective players. And so when the chaos ensues and the
(01:25:09):
first draft starts to fall apart, it's usually by about
pick five that something.
Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
Happens and you're hearing it. Oh, didn't see that coming.
Speaker 5 (01:25:15):
So I always like to run all different mock drafts
and grab all the experts mock drafts and kind of
compare them as the first round goes by, And so
I just threw it into AI and I was like, oh,
let's see what AI does, because that, in theory consolidates
all of the information from the web and all the
mock drafts that are out there and everybody. And I
literally just typed in twenty twenty five NFL mock draft
first round.
Speaker 6 (01:25:37):
This is what it gave us.
Speaker 5 (01:25:38):
It kind of cam Ward number one overall. It was like,
all right, that sounds good. Travis Hunter was going number two,
and it's like, all right, that fits Katie's boy. Offensive
tackle Lsu Will Campbell. They had him going top five,
and you're like, okay, this is starting to track Shadoor
Sanders seventh overall pick. Really and then it got interesting
as I started to go down the list and realize
(01:25:58):
that should say and is also being drafted twenty one.
They got him going to the Jets. They got him
going to the Steelers. Oh, they also have them going
to the Houston Texans at eighteen.
Speaker 6 (01:26:10):
It's like, a, I doesn't understand how the draft works.
Speaker 5 (01:26:13):
Thought, well, that's interesting.
Speaker 3 (01:26:14):
He came off the board pretty early, and uh, he's
apparently sticking around.
Speaker 5 (01:26:18):
Maybe he said no to the mock draft people at
AI and he decided to go to Houston and then
said no again and is going to Pittsburgh.
Speaker 8 (01:26:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (01:26:25):
Again, you don't.
Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
Yeah, you apparently don't have to play when you're drafted
for the team that you're draft before you could just
say no.
Speaker 3 (01:26:30):
McMillan, wide receiver going to the Vikings also going to
the Dolphins.
Speaker 5 (01:26:36):
Found that interesting. Dallas Cowboys are gonna apparently grab Ashton Gentry,
who we heard from a little bit earlier in the show.
And he's also going to the Detroit Lions. Okay, which
I thought was interesting.
Speaker 4 (01:26:48):
The one that really leaped left.
Speaker 5 (01:26:51):
I don't know what they're teaching these days, leaped off
the page, leapt off. I thought left to curly in
your day.
Speaker 3 (01:26:57):
Was the Green Bay back. But you also thought sicker
as we're healthy. So hood of you guys know, as
long as it's a.
Speaker 5 (01:27:03):
Low top, especially on a game day, nothing like it,
ladies and gentlemen. According to Artificial Intelligence CHET GPT twenty
twenty five, mock draft, depending on the movement. Who knows,
we might trade up, we might trade down. But if
it holds firm at your Green Bay Packers select at
twenty three.
Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
But the Green Bay Packers select Cooper Degene, cornerback Iowa.
Speaker 5 (01:27:29):
The description de gene will strengthen a packer's secondary, which
is a tremendous area of need considering especially the uncertainty
of Jayir Alexander. One small problem. This is an old
if you know, you know he's no longer on the board. Yeah,
not because he's not showing up or he pulled out
and he's going back to college. Cooper's gene was drafted
(01:27:50):
last year World champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 3 (01:27:53):
Yeah, in the playoffs.
Speaker 23 (01:27:57):
He owned us.
Speaker 3 (01:27:58):
It sure is a big guy. I wish we right
in twenty twenty four, but someone needs to tell Ai
not possible. Just you know, the not there.
Speaker 2 (01:28:08):
AI did have the Raiders drafting like they lost to Bets,
so that part was actually accurate.
Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
It is all the hope and dreams and all of
the wonderful warm feelings I had for Ai just went
out the window with a twenty third big tonight of
a dude who's not there anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:28:24):
He's not there, But kids have it. Write your term papers.
You'll be fine at this point.
Speaker 5 (01:28:28):
Just considered an NFL veteran.
Speaker 2 (01:28:32):
It is seven fifty eight live from the bar on
home Gren Way. We've got Tammy Elliott, Everson Liman from
Wbay TV two.
Speaker 4 (01:28:39):
They'll be joining us coming up after.
Speaker 2 (01:28:41):
Eight live on Kiss FM, Live in the shadows of
lambeau Field. And we've got a big game coming up.
It's a Green Bay charity softball game hosted by Jordan Love.
This is gonna be Friday, May twenty third, Neuroscience Group

course it's benefiting Jordan Love's Hands of Love Foundation. If
you're somebody who's like, know what I've come back to

b A Y TV two. They are here with a
first alert weather.
Speaker 6 (01:29:28):
No, not really, but.
Speaker 4 (01:29:31):
Show went well today.
Speaker 2 (01:29:32):
We didn't get to watch any of it, but you
said fans are now showing up and starting to kind
of invade the area, and we see it here too.
Speaker 23 (01:29:39):
It was awesome. We had fans on joined us live
and from from the UK. They're amazing pedistry.
Speaker 3 (01:29:47):
That's so cool. That is awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:29:50):
What is when when you meet somebody who's never been
to Green Bay before and they're coming in for three
days and they.
Speaker 3 (01:29:57):
Go, what do I do?
Speaker 10 (01:29:58):
What do I do?
Speaker 4 (01:29:58):
Obviously we have the draft, but what do you try
to tell them before they leave town? Is there a
thing you like, go do this?
Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
Go see because right now a lot of stuff unfortunately closed.
Like you can't just go do a Hall of Fame tour,
can you.
Speaker 3 (01:30:10):
You're the hometown person's home.
Speaker 20 (01:30:12):
So I mean, I think the Hall of Fame is
opening with the Draft So it's opening today just like
the pro shop and everything else at noon.
Speaker 6 (01:30:19):
Wow.
Speaker 23 (01:30:20):
I mean that, you know, the experience is right here.
Speaker 20 (01:30:22):
But I would just say, kind of, I think they
should drive around downtown Green Bay.
Speaker 9 (01:30:27):
Yeah, definitely that.
Speaker 7 (01:30:28):
We went there last night and I it's yes, yredible.
Speaker 20 (01:30:33):
Awesome for you guys early in the morning, you're so
I'm like at home, I'm I'm tired.
Speaker 23 (01:30:38):
But yeah, so just kind of to get the feel.
Speaker 20 (01:30:40):
I mean, drive by and if you see a place
that's cool, just kind of stop and say hi, just
check in.
Speaker 10 (01:30:47):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:30:47):
No, it's we've talked about this a lot leading up
to it, and now it's been fascinating to see it
in action. People are absolutely blown away at the proximity
of everything that if you wanted to come to Draft
Central and you've got the printed off map, you can
walk everywhere and it's not gonna take you long. It's
gonna take you ten minutes to get from one side
(01:31:08):
of the Draft Theater to the opposite side of the
Titletown district. And then when they ask where to drive to,
and you're like, well, you're just gonna go down here
and you'll hang a left as Ashland Avenue and you're
gonna go bound just like a couple of blocks and
there'll be a bridge. Just go over that bridge and
then park and you're right in that sort of downtown
and all of them look at you like you're crazy,
and like, no, it's right, you guys. I mean you
could walk if you wanted to, or get a petty
(01:31:29):
cab or just get an uber. It'll cost you eight bucks.
At this point, it's not that far.
Speaker 3 (01:31:33):
Jump on the shuttle as well.
Speaker 9 (01:31:34):
They've got three shuttles rolling around.
Speaker 3 (01:31:36):
It's the perfect setup for.
Speaker 5 (01:31:37):
Everything, absolutely, And then once the metro gets running and
those lines are running for everybody, it is so accessible
and so close, and so the proximity of it just
so engaging that you don't have to go far to
get all of it. So, like you said, Timmy, just
pull over, pull over, and just like it's kind of
like finding a road trip and just be like, hey,
this looks nice. Take a picture.
Speaker 7 (01:31:56):
Well, and I think local people too. Don't forget, don't
be afraid to you go to the outlying areas. We're
friends with Teresa from Pancake Place, and I noticed that
she saw she posted and she said, we are so
staffed and we were prepared. We extended our hours and
they're not getting anything right now. And I think it's
because people are so intimidated.
Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
Right And yes.
Speaker 2 (01:32:15):
Yesterday was not what I think because we talked to
a lot of people like outside of the Draft City
as I call it the Draft Village, trying to kind
of take a peek in, and I think everybody thought
yesterday was going to be crazy. I said no, no, no,
it's today. And I would say tomorrow, Yeah, tomorrow is
where you're gonna be like, oh, okay, now I see
you at the parking sides are all over. Yeah yeah,
(01:32:37):
but yeah, don't be afraid to go to your spots.
Have you got to please go support these folks. They're
all staffed up and ready to go. For the rest
of us, it's just a big old party down here.
Speaker 5 (01:32:47):
If you play the license play game, get a book,
you'll fill it in. It's so fun to drive around
and you just see all the plates that have now
come into town and you're like, this is sweet, this
is pretty awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
Yeah, this is just the energy down here is it's
differ than game day. There's just a different vibe to it,
and I can't quite put my finger on it. I
think it's just because you have so many fans from
so many different teams.
Speaker 4 (01:33:09):
When you go see a game, it's you know, you guys, it's.
Speaker 3 (01:33:12):
The other team.
Speaker 2 (01:33:13):
And then there's always a Bears fan walking around like
it's laundry day and you're not sure why, like what happened, buddy,
it's not even a Bears game, but there's always that
one guy. But today it is literally, you know, all
of the teams represented and they're all here, and they
all have that same question and that same anticipation. It's
basically an emotional roller coaster. This entire city fueled by
beer and cheese.
Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
And we're all ready for her to get kicked off.
Speaker 6 (01:33:35):
And today is the day.
Speaker 20 (01:33:36):
We were on our live stream that we have at
seven o five every morning. Ika Jachi, who's a recorder
from ABC News, They're in town. Good Morning America is
in town here. So this was his first experience here
in Green Bay.
Speaker 23 (01:33:51):
And he was like, this was amazing. He was walking around.
Speaker 20 (01:33:53):
He talked about seeing all the statues, you know, Curly
Lambeau and all of that at the stadium, but then
also just the surrounding area.
Speaker 3 (01:34:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (01:34:00):
He said he's staying at downtown at Saint Brendan's Inn
and he said, hey, like I'm down there, and he goes,
this is so cool.
Speaker 23 (01:34:08):
I'm on the water, the river, and he said, just
everything is so easy to get to.
Speaker 6 (01:34:12):
Yeah, so accessible.
Speaker 20 (01:34:13):
And he was talking about that and just saying how
nice everyone was from you know, the moment he arrived,
you get a bag.
Speaker 3 (01:34:19):
Of cheese curds in his hotel room.
Speaker 16 (01:34:21):
He's he's got he's getting the whole Wisconsin experience.
Speaker 7 (01:34:23):
Okay, is there a little bit though about when people
say cheese curds. I'm like, you gotta do the deep pride,
Like that's the true, Like cheese curds are great, but
I'm like, deep pride, that's like special and the.
Speaker 9 (01:34:35):
Ranch.
Speaker 7 (01:34:35):
Yes, So if you are not from there and you're
just hearing there's two different types of cheese curds, do both,
but you like, you have to get the deep pride.
Speaker 6 (01:34:43):
Fresh and fried y.
Speaker 2 (01:34:44):
Yeah, and you can get those here at the bar,
and as we have talked about before in the air,
the bar's ranch is probably the best ranch that has
ever been created in the entire Worry a bottle.
Speaker 3 (01:34:54):
And take it home with you.
Speaker 5 (01:34:55):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, No. The energy, like you said, otis
is just it's very cool. And I think with the
the draft is just different.
Speaker 6 (01:35:01):
There's no.
Speaker 5 (01:35:03):
For this event and for what this is. There isn't
a lose to the scenario right now. It's just excitement
and the hope and the future and whoever is gonna
become your future roster member. There's just excitement. Nobody's gonna
walk out of the draft experience thinking they lost the game,
so to speak, or or they this was a bust.
Speaker 8 (01:35:22):
Nobody.
Speaker 4 (01:35:22):
They may energy, they may scream wha and then google
who just got picked? They're like why did you do that?
And they're like, who do we pick? Who we picked?
Speaker 5 (01:35:31):
Draft theater is going to be packed with everybody armed
and ready to booge.
Speaker 6 (01:35:35):
We bring the booze loud for godell, that's my favorite.
I just love it.
Speaker 9 (01:35:40):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (01:35:40):
It's all fun, but it's it's sort of it's it's
a little bit of a great equalizer in sports the draft,
because it doesn't really matter who you are, doesn't matter
how much of an expert you are. You could be
the ten year old kid picking an NC double a
bracket and you like the colors of the team. That's
sort of what the draft is. It's sort of a
wild flyer because in the end, Wow, these guys are
(01:36:01):
gonna pan out until they put on the cleats and
they hit the field. So you could be the greatest
prospect in the history of the world, but you will
and there's plenty of them, especially in the first round,
who hit the field and they don't have the it.
They don't make it, they don't pan out, And so
everybody's guess is sort of anybody's guest today, you're just.
Speaker 3 (01:36:18):
Like, yeah, whatever, hey, let's do this.
Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
What is your guests, What do you think we need
to do in the first round, second round there? What
do you think we're gonna do?
Speaker 5 (01:36:24):
The only thing I always say about the draft in
general is do not shop hungry. I love the Packers' philosophy,
don't it.
Speaker 10 (01:36:35):
Is?
Speaker 5 (01:36:35):
It is think you getting en scene best available player,
Give me the best guy on the board. And I
don't know what their board looks like in the Packers
draft room. I have no idea how they are ranking
this thing. But you never know the need you're going
to have until the season starts. You can think you're
deep at wide receiver and you could get two injuries,
or you can get a guy who doesn't have the
(01:36:55):
best third season that you thought he was gonna have
and take that next step. You don't know what need is. Granted,
Packers have cornerback need, and they have line need, especially
defensive line, and they have these needs that you can
put your fingers on and it'd be great to have
another wide receiver, But until that season starts, you don't know.
By week two what your greatest area of need is.
Pick the best dude that you have to make the
(01:37:16):
best football team that you can have, and and you're
just you're just infinitely better. At that point, you're just
a better team.
Speaker 6 (01:37:22):
No matter who we pick, we should immediately pour tequila
and wallow. What's the joke?
Speaker 5 (01:37:33):
The joke I do?
Speaker 3 (01:37:34):
Yeah, former quarterback, really cool name, Scott Scotch. Scotch that's
what I like.
Speaker 4 (01:37:39):
You want another ha ha Clinton Dix.
Speaker 6 (01:37:43):
Yeah, I hope they're here too.
Speaker 16 (01:37:50):
Like a lot of the prospects that are in Green Bay.
It would be awesome if one of them gets to
walk out on that stage, see the field that they're
going to be playing in, behind the huge crowd, and
just hear that place rough.
Speaker 7 (01:38:02):
That'll be so cool during media day because I may
have missed the storm and was walking away.
Speaker 6 (01:38:10):
Did you did they explain the bike like the path
of the bike, like where the bikes are taking.
Speaker 4 (01:38:17):
I don't think they did a real rundown of it, Okay.
Speaker 7 (01:38:19):
I was just wondering if anyone knew where that's happenedday morning,
that's Saturday.
Speaker 6 (01:38:23):
I thought it was the picks that the first round
picks they're going to ride the bike.
Speaker 23 (01:38:27):
Yeah, okay, I thought you meant the actual like oh no, no, no,
because is.
Speaker 6 (01:38:30):
It going to be just like the top ten are
going to do that? Or is that everyone who's here?
Speaker 3 (01:38:35):
Great question? Yeah about that. We need somebody from news
to be able to help us, So sorry, question, solid question.
Speaker 10 (01:38:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:38:43):
We'll get back and we are live at the NFL Draft.
Speaker 2 (01:38:47):
We're at the bar on Home grid Way Draft Day,
or as Bears fans call it, it's disappointment Eve.
Speaker 3 (01:38:53):
We are here.
Speaker 4 (01:38:54):
We're live.
Speaker 6 (01:38:55):
Yeah, if you're going to shoot an it's the Viking,
I know, but I just say Detroit. I mean, let's
take him down and not to read like again, you
didn't I called that one read.
Speaker 3 (01:39:07):
I called it and called sure.
Speaker 5 (01:39:09):
We're a fingernail away from getting swept by the Bears
last year.
Speaker 6 (01:39:12):
Yeah, okay, saying pick your book.
Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
I'm trying to sports, guys, I've tried to sports. It
is eight eighteen, Live at the Bar home Grenway.
Speaker 4 (01:39:21):
This is Kiss FM.
Speaker 6 (01:39:22):
Congratulations.
Speaker 2 (01:39:23):
Tyler Schmidt from Shanos picked up a fifty dollars cash
card with prosper Or Credit Union and now in for
Katie Perry live in Chicago. Kiss Concerts in Cash Universal
Music Group, prosper Or Credit Union. We do it at
eight thirty, eleven thirty and four thirty on ninety five
nine Kiss FM. We're live at the Bar home Grown Way,
getting ready for the draft. Tammy Elliott Emerson Leman from
(01:39:44):
wba Y TV two here. If you're coming in town
today for the draft, you're from out of town, or
maybe you're just not from Green Bay and you're not
exactly sure what you want to do about parking. Get
that NFL one app Yes, that'll have you a lot
of clues, but I would just say one thing you
might want to do, if you're one of those people
that can remember things, well, if you take one seventy
two to forty three and then take that north and
(01:40:06):
get off like at Webster, you can actually park downtown.
Speaker 6 (01:40:10):
On those ramps.
Speaker 2 (01:40:11):
They will shuttle you to the draft. It's it's just
gonna be so much easier on the out getting in.
I don't know if it'll be I mean it'll be ane.
It'll be a lot easier getting out of that area
than it will be from the actual draft. Now, obviously,
if that if you don't care about that, and you're
kind of here for that experience and that traffic and
that bumper to bumper and the shouting and the cheering
(01:40:32):
and the hooting and the hollering, then go ahead straight
up to Lombardy and hang a right like everybody else,
and then park and do that. There's a lot of
people that will put you in their lots. They're charging
some money. But you can market there either today or
you can market there all three days. There is street
parking around in the city of Green Bay, if you
want to look for it.
Speaker 5 (01:40:50):
We found it yesterday for free, right, I mean, the
NFL Draft Experience opens at noon, but the campus is open. Yes,
you can come. You soak it in, you walk around.
There's no reason why you can't park on a street
right now. It is wide open. I would literally if
I were you forget it.
Speaker 4 (01:41:08):
That's what I would do. A couple of things going
on today.
Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
I want to hit on you've got that living Packers
Heritage Trail which starts at ten today. So what they've
actually done is the Historical Society and Evergreen Theater, Broncott
Historical Society and Evergreen Theater have actors kind of acting
out some of the downtown history and the sites and
some of the Packers' history and that goes from ten
(01:41:33):
to one on the Heritage Trail today. And that's actually
a free event. A lot of this, yeah, a lot
of this downtown touchdown that the City of Green Bay
is putting on are free. Yeah, absolutely, And if they charge,
it's for nonprofit. Like tomorrow we do the Kringle Combine
Bucks or whatever, a couple of bucks and that goes
to the Salvation Army.
Speaker 4 (01:41:53):
Timmy, Elliott, Emerson Lehman are here.
Speaker 1 (01:41:56):
This is it.
Speaker 3 (01:41:56):
We are now, We've been saying for how long we're
this many days away? Now we're literally hours away.
Speaker 20 (01:42:01):
I know we were looking at our draft countdown. We
have a clock on screen the entire time, and we're
like twelve hours.
Speaker 23 (01:42:08):
Because we started, you know, counting down hundreds of days.
Speaker 10 (01:42:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (01:42:12):
Super exciting And like you said, Nick, the experience opens
at noon today.
Speaker 8 (01:42:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:42:16):
Isn't it weird though? That so here we are on Thursday.
It's going to be over.
Speaker 3 (01:42:22):
Like, it's going to be over as quickly as the
week began. It is flying by.
Speaker 6 (01:42:27):
I feel like that yesterday's like vacation, Like the up
to vacation.
Speaker 23 (01:42:32):
You're poing and you're getting ready and buying the sun
screen and you're like, wait a second.
Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
Yelling last day the beach.
Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
As a kid, when you would I don't know if
you did this, but I got into the phase where
you set up the dominoes to knock them down, you know,
you put them all in a lot and make these
cool these cool designs, and then you realize you did
all that work. You spent three and a half hours
doing it, and it's literally twenty seconds later it's all done.
Speaker 3 (01:42:53):
No, it's exactly like that.
Speaker 5 (01:42:54):
And then you'll just sit back and go, huh, so
that happened. That happened Wednesday to me is a complete blur.
Yesterday is a complete blur, Like, so that happened.
Speaker 9 (01:43:03):
The hangover effect Sunday into Monday.
Speaker 16 (01:43:06):
Next week is just going to be incredible alcohol or not,
just just the exit, the build up.
Speaker 6 (01:43:12):
It's going to be crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
How much do you and your fat pants miss each
other right now? Like it's just kind of like I
just want to be in fat pants.
Speaker 9 (01:43:19):
No, you miss have fat pants?
Speaker 4 (01:43:21):
Do you not have like a home outfit?
Speaker 9 (01:43:22):
You?
Speaker 7 (01:43:23):
Yeah, but I that that isn't the thing I missed.
Seriously really like my family whatever, my kid and my husband.
Speaker 4 (01:43:33):
Most people don't like me.
Speaker 8 (01:43:35):
Home for dinner.
Speaker 7 (01:43:37):
I haven't yearned for my fat pants and thought I
would have my fat pants missed me right now. I'm
not like, oh, who's gonna pick Brody up from school?
Speaker 10 (01:43:49):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:43:53):
Where we don't have school?
Speaker 8 (01:43:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:43:54):
Yeah, but we do have pants, haven't fat pants haven't.
Speaker 5 (01:43:57):
Really you're a partview middle school. You're free to purchase
a nice sixty dollars part school.
Speaker 3 (01:44:04):
Yeah, yes, the value you and yeah, absolutely it is great.
It is so funny.
Speaker 5 (01:44:10):
That's a narrative that that has been fun to talk
to a few people around and when the taste of
the draft pep rally came to value you and you're
meeting with NFL executives and talking to them a little
and I had the pleasure of kind of em seeing
and announcing it and introing it. And I said to
the kids, I'm like, hey, I understand you guys have
off of school a little bit later on this week.
And they all cheered, and a couple of them came
over and they're like, so, like do you shut Are
(01:44:31):
you shutting down like so everybody can go to the draft,
And I go, no, we're shutting down because we have
to because of the draft.
Speaker 4 (01:44:36):
And I said, I don't know if.
Speaker 3 (01:44:37):
You guys know like game days we beg for Thursday
and Monday nighters because the schools have to have early
release because they can't they can't get around, the buses
can't get in, the kids can't get out, and so
we have to let them get out at one.
Speaker 5 (01:44:50):
Fifteen in the afternoon because we got to gain that night.
And they all were like, this is amazing, and I'm
like I know. I'm like this is welcome to Green Bay, guys.
This is what we It's not a desire, it's in need.
It's a necessity because the place is gonna go perserk.
And so it's so fun to have that environment around
here right now, and all the kids are off and
they're all gonna be down here and it's gonna be great.
Speaker 3 (01:45:10):
How do you think your broadcast is gonna go tomorrow,
because now we'll have one day of the draft in
You're gonna have some people partying pretty hard tomorrow night.
Will they still be.
Speaker 9 (01:45:19):
Going in the morning?
Speaker 3 (01:45:20):
Are they gonna be great? Question? I mean, what do
you think.
Speaker 6 (01:45:23):
Canner was on fire last night?
Speaker 10 (01:45:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:45:27):
Yeah, I guess we've got something to think about tomorrow.
Speaker 16 (01:45:30):
Maybe, you know, hopefully the weather's nice and that doesn't
deter any of them. I don't think it will regardless,
But yeah, I guess we'll have to keep our heads
on a swivel and see what's gonna happen.
Speaker 6 (01:45:40):
Yeah, it'll be quite the experience tomorrow morning.
Speaker 3 (01:45:43):
I do kind of feel like it's gonna be woodstocky
where it's.
Speaker 5 (01:45:45):
Just like, yeah, they you know, they're just gonna embrace it.
Speaker 20 (01:45:48):
Yes, we have Green Bay Mayor Eric Enrich joining us
tomorrow morning. Oh, so we're gonna kind of debrief with
him sure, like how things are going and first day
and draft underway. So he's joining us on action to
news this morning six thirty right thirty is awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:46:02):
I was hoping you many was gonna go all night, like.
Speaker 9 (01:46:06):
Who knows, maybe maybe.
Speaker 2 (01:46:10):
Yesterday of course is part of media day with the draft,
got to talk to some of the prospects. Tyler Booker
on the importance of being at a draft on Kisheutra.
Speaker 21 (01:46:20):
It was important for me to be here because whenever
somebody opens their doors, you should try to give back
whatever well you can and just be able to give
back to this community who has to open his doors
to me and my family. It was very important for
me to be able to get back today and I
had a great time doing it.
Speaker 5 (01:46:33):
He was so cool, one of the most humble, great
guys out there to talk to, and had this look
on his face of like, so, why was it important
for you to be here? And he's like are you serious?
Speaker 3 (01:46:42):
Like why not?
Speaker 5 (01:46:43):
Like you they said to you, we'd like you to
be here, and you're like, you just say, yes, man,
this is the NFL Draft. It was great to see
his eyes were like saucers just looking around going this
is I mean, like, this is kind of our time.
So when someone invites you into their house, you say yes,
and you're a gracious guest. And they put in so
much with the kids and the special Olympians on the field.
And he was one that was so into it and
(01:47:04):
so in love with the moment. He was awesome. He
was great to talk to.
Speaker 4 (01:47:08):
Will Campbell too has been this is Katie's favorite.
Speaker 7 (01:47:11):
Gets a little I don't know anything about it, Like
he just gets a little lsu, a.
Speaker 4 (01:47:15):
Little flak because of his arm language.
Speaker 5 (01:47:18):
It's like, my favorite thing about the combine is how
all the measurables get thrown out there and its hand size,
arm length, punch strength, corne drill and all this stuff.
And in the end, like just play his take on it.
Speaker 8 (01:47:32):
I love. I love.
Speaker 4 (01:47:33):
Here's Will from the draft yesterday.
Speaker 18 (01:47:36):
I've heard it since I was fourteen years old. You
know the school that I just went to they said
the same thing to me. You know my coaches, you
know that everybody's had a concern with my armlenk since
I was fourteen years old and I got my first offer.
I didn't let it become a problem. Now or then,
I'm not going to Now. You know, there's some teams
that want to play me a guard, and I'm fully
willing to do that because I'm a team guy. First,
(01:47:56):
I want to win, and I want to win now.
I don't want to wait in a means me playing
early me winning is a mediat guard, me at ex receiver,
me at tight end. That's what I'm gonna do. So,
like I said, wherever you know, the opportunity presents itself
for me to get on the field as fast as
possible is what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 3 (01:48:13):
He was hilarious.
Speaker 5 (01:48:14):
It was it was just hey, watch the tape all right,
like like we're all good, We're all good.
Speaker 3 (01:48:18):
I could play.
Speaker 6 (01:48:19):
Could you imagine someone being so focused on your arm length?
Like right, like like it's not serious.
Speaker 20 (01:48:25):
Let me yeah, oh isn't your arm length your height?
Speaker 6 (01:48:30):
Then that's what I mean. It's to pick Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:48:34):
Like what the no NFL future for me just just
want to get say, trying to have fold fitted sheets.
Speaker 23 (01:48:39):
So we're just gonna tell you this is why I
have grabbers at home.
Speaker 20 (01:48:43):
Literally, I mean I'm not even you know, I'm not
like senior age, but literally look at my arm length.
We're telling you top cupboard were you're still happening something really.
Speaker 2 (01:48:51):
Inappropriate your short arm for other things. Okay, all right,
it is definitely time to roll. Eat forty two live
at the bar on Home grid Way.
Speaker 6 (01:49:01):
This is Kiss FM. That's right.
Speaker 5 (01:49:03):
Draft Day.
Speaker 2 (01:49:03):
It's here every pick of future Hall of Famer until
proven otherwise, which is sometimes October. We are at the
Bar Home grad Way and it's all kicking off like
so the draft village is ready to go. If you
want to kind of walk around finally, you can do that.
As far as the NFL the experience that actually starts
at noon today, but there is a ton going on
(01:49:24):
this place. If you've never been down in the Labeoufield area,
come down early, if you were planning on coming down later.
Speaker 4 (01:49:30):
This was incredible, credible. Oh, this is just you're gonna
love it. This is kind of what a game day is.
Speaker 3 (01:49:35):
But even but chill, Yeah, feel I was gonna say there,
there's maybe a little bit less of that anticipation and
excitement because it's all the team. So instead of directed
in two different areas, it's directed in you know, thirty two.
But yeah, just a great experience down here in The bar,
of course, is where you want to come. We've got
food trucks all throughout the parking lot.
Speaker 2 (01:49:57):
There is all kinds of great gear if you want
and if you looking for that Wisconsin cheddar, we got
it here.
Speaker 4 (01:50:02):
We got an age. How many years you want it too?
Speaker 3 (01:50:04):
You want to five? You want to ten?
Speaker 4 (01:50:05):
Things to go five? Yeah, we got it here for you.
Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
They also have, of course of the stage, live music
to have. Patrick's doing his show inside, and it's just
kind of a buzz of entertainment out here. We would
love to see you. Read and Eddie are going to
be here this afternoon doing it live. We'll be out
here tomorrow. What are we looking forward to today for
the draft? I mean first picks?
Speaker 6 (01:50:24):
At what time will you?
Speaker 5 (01:50:25):
Seven o'clock? Bought to us underway and there'll be a
little bit of fanfare with Roger Goodell and they kicked
everything off.
Speaker 9 (01:50:32):
I hope so.
Speaker 3 (01:50:33):
And he's looking for it. I mean he's begging for
it at this point.
Speaker 5 (01:50:36):
He knows what's coming, I think to me at the
initial I'm really excited to see the backdrop. I'm excited
to see the way the NFL frames the vista and
the stadium and the theater and how that whole thing
gets presented to the world.
Speaker 2 (01:50:48):
I assume we're going to get a couple of sunset
shots over at Lambeau because it should start.
Speaker 4 (01:50:53):
We should be getting that as you're coming up to
the start.
Speaker 2 (01:50:55):
I know they're going to really want to make a
big deal about the small town and the small mosphere
and how we really eat, live and breathe football well.
Speaker 5 (01:51:04):
And the way it's set up is so brilliant. The
people are going to be able to get packed. They're
gonna have a lot of people that are going to
be able to be as you face the Draft theater, Yeah,
you'll be there to the parking lot toward Lambeau Field.
It's going to be wide open for people. So I'm
really excited to see how that looks. It was so
fun when they were in Detroit with the overhead drone
shots of the people just cascading down the streets and
(01:51:26):
away from the stage, and I'm excited to see that
with Lambo in the background.
Speaker 7 (01:51:30):
Well, I was going to say that was the park
because I just remember last year seeing those shots and
texting each other and being like, there's no way we're.
Speaker 6 (01:51:35):
Going to fit those people here in Bay. So I
want to see how we have to we're fitting those
people here in Green Bay well?
Speaker 4 (01:51:41):
And do we get what that estimate was from last year?
Speaker 2 (01:51:44):
They thought they were around six hundred thousand or some
of the numbers I heard, Yeah, way, which would be
the biggest draft attendance ever.
Speaker 4 (01:51:51):
Are we going to get that in little old Green Bay?
I kind of hope we do, because we do too.
I think they're gonna love it here.
Speaker 3 (01:51:56):
Yeah, yet I absolutely want are gonna want to leave?
We didn't, that's true.
Speaker 10 (01:52:03):
Yeah, true.
Speaker 6 (01:52:05):
We're born and bred here.
Speaker 2 (01:52:07):
When you when you come here and you stay here
long enough, and long enough being just a year or two,
it's hard to want to leave. Because the Green Bay
and in Appleton and Oshkosh in northeast Wisconsin, it is
a small big city or a big small city.
Speaker 6 (01:52:21):
It kind of depends on how you want to look
at it.
Speaker 2 (01:52:24):
But there's like I was talking to the guys yesterday
inside Hinterland, sheltering from the storm, and they're from California,
and they were talking about how small and big it is,
and I said, yeah, for instance, we're gonna get a
Metallica concert, but we're gonna get it on the fifth leg,
and we probably won't get it on this tour, but
a couple of years ago we get all those things
Andy right, we get them later, like Elton John came here,
(01:52:46):
but it was definitely well after he had already started
the Farewell Tour and done three laps of it, so.
Speaker 4 (01:52:51):
We we get over that stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:52:53):
I was just say I always describe it as you
get the best of all the worlds because it is
a small enough town that you're gonna run into a
bunch of people at Target, but you also don't have
to drive thirty minutes to get to Target.
Speaker 2 (01:53:04):
Well stated absolutely everything except maybe with the exception of
today in game day, everything is about ten to thirty
minutes away. When I say everything, I mean if you
want to drive to Oshkosh, I know people say it's
an hour.
Speaker 6 (01:53:16):
It's really not.
Speaker 4 (01:53:17):
It's like fifty people drive on the inter state these days.
Speaker 3 (01:53:22):
They're crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:53:23):
So again we want to stress if you're coming to Lambo,
get that NFL one pass app. You're gonna want that
for the map for all of the activities that are
happening as part of the draft, and then as far
as parking, that is the number one question out of
towners or people who don't even live directly in the
Green Bay area ask where do we park? I would, truthfully,
(01:53:44):
if I were you, I would look at where Lambeau is,
look at the streets they're gonna let you take to
get there, and drive as close as you can get
to Lambeau and park on a street. I'm not trying
to take away. These people selling the spots are gonna
make tons of money. There's so many people come out.
You can find street parking in the city of Green.
Speaker 4 (01:54:02):
Bay, so not Ashwabana. Ashwabinon is different rules.
Speaker 2 (01:54:05):
A Swabanon is technically where Lambeau is, but just north
of Ashwabana literally a block is Green Bay and you
can park on those streets.
Speaker 6 (01:54:15):
Most of them will let you park there for free.
Speaker 4 (01:54:17):
Yep, yep, yep.
Speaker 5 (01:54:18):
You're gonna find parking lots, churches, schools, everybody who is
in this area is going to have an opportunity for
you to park. It's it really will not be a
problem unless you want to make it a problem.
Speaker 2 (01:54:28):
And if you are one of those who you want
to help out, go ahead, pay it. Go to Pioneer
and pay because that's going to help them out or
go to a church and pay it.
Speaker 3 (01:54:35):
That's going to help them.
Speaker 6 (01:54:37):
And it's not confusing. If you can't park there, you
will know. Yeah, it'll tell you well.
Speaker 5 (01:54:42):
And it there's a little bit of a Las Vegas
feel to the way Lambeau is set up because situated
in a residential area, it stands out you're not going
to miss it on the landscape, and so no matter
where you park, you're gonna be able to see it.
You're gonna know where to go, You're gonna know which
direction to travel. It is going to be as easy
as you want to make it. If in your brain
you're gonna make it difficult and you want to make
it a process, it will be. But the setup here,
(01:55:06):
the Green Bay Packers, the National Football League, village of
Ashwaba on City of Green Bay, what they have done
and how they have set this up behind the scenes
over the last two years really is fantastic. The execution
is incredible and it's gonna blow your mind. You're gonna
be all right. All the anxieties are gonna drift away
a little bit if you start to just get down
here and get into the village.
Speaker 7 (01:55:27):
It's set up so so well, Yeah, for all the
KDIs out there, don't let the anxiety win.
Speaker 3 (01:55:32):
Don't let it win.
Speaker 7 (01:55:33):
Yeah, you're gonna regret it. You're going to miss out
on it. Who cares about parking? Who cares about all
of that? Just experience it and go with it.
Speaker 2 (01:55:41):
Join us today, join us tomorrow, and of course all
this weekend as draft activities are underway. If you want
to do draft stuff but you don't maybe want to
be in the thick of it, I'm going to touchdown
downtown Green Bay.
Speaker 4 (01:55:53):
Just google that for this.
Speaker 2 (01:55:54):
You'll get wait for this tomorrow all of the things
that are going on downtown. You can shuttle here if
you want. Combine is tomorrow ten am. We will be
there battling out with other local celebrities and we're just
super excited. Live from the bar home grin Way. This
is Otis Katie and Nick live on Kiss FM.
