Speaker 2 (00:46):
God, afternoon, what another blast Sunday. You know, we weren't
on last Sunday, but we're back this Sunday. You know,
we we all got a chance to celebrate Easter, and uh,
it's our rais a blessing to think about the fact
that we get an opportunity to to go fishing for
souls for the for the one that we love and
(01:07):
we love, we love our Lord, and to say with
Jesus Christ, and uh, today said it's gonna be really
a powerful, powerful So today because we got we got
doctor Martin brock On and and we got doctor Baby
ball On and we're just gonna we're just gonna be
thankful to have them.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Be a part of this.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
But you know we always have to give a shout
out to it Lane for Johnson. I'll tell you my
my my classmate from nineteen seventy four continues to help
us go fishing. She's not on the boat, but she's
on the boat because uh, we wouldn't be able to
go fishing like we're fishing, and she wasn't posting it
up for for people can hear all over the all
over the country because we're all over the world. But
(01:49):
the fact that people from Hamilton Park get a chance
to know that that we got the mayor on every
every Sunday, and so you know, we always start out
with with our baby You know, I love doctor baby
Boy to talk about doctor baby Boy because we like
to We like to have y'all laughing and enjoying yourself.
And then we get real serious. We get real serious
(02:10):
when we talking about to our Lord and Savior because
we're talking about souls. We talk about winning souls for
the Lord. We that's our main thing is trying to
let you know that we're trying to win souls every Sunday.
But you know, last last of two Sundays ago. You
know baby Boy, my sister law. You know, I love
to call her name Pam Bonds as it. You know,
(02:32):
doctor baby Boy was outside playing, but he had to
get ready because he had to go look for his
eases go Billy's his suit, getting ready to get fitted
for his suit for for for Easter Sunday, because you know,
doctor baby Boy had an Eastern speech. And so she
came out to get him and stuff, and he kept
playing it. So she told him that if he didn't
(02:53):
come out, that she was gonna keep the training wheels
on his fix wheel. So he came on, came on out,
and they went went to go shopping. And and the
thing was is that when she took him shopping, when
I told you he was, he was in the shopping
mall and he was going to go in all the
little tonstos and looking at all the little kids, closed
on the little dogs. And uh, she said, no, doctor,
(03:16):
doctor baby Baum, I'm getting you Taylor maid getting the
suit tailor made for you. But she took him and
he got his little little suit tailor maid and stuff,
and and so they left and uh that Sunday Sunday,
you know, doctor baby Bolla had the Eastern speech and
and uh, it's really something because everybody came out to her.
I went after her when his little Eastern speech, and
(03:37):
the little kids and everybody was waiting. We was all waiting.
Doctor baby Ball was up there, and I think he
got a little nervous. I don't know, but we were
sitting away and all of a sudden, he said, it's
Eastern speech, y'all, I'm not gonna believe this. His Eastern
speech was happy Easter. Everybody, I don't know, not the
baby boy. You did not speaking to be loved her
(03:57):
that and then all of a sudden he freaked. He
breaks his one hen was out of the church and
uh and gets on his on his big will. He
got the training whill. And were looking for him now
we're looking for doctor baby Boy now and we found
him because he's got said he's gonna he's on the
podcast today. Doctor baby Boy is gonna be on and
we're just glad to have him. Loan and doctor b
(04:19):
doctor my Blacker. We glad to have him on. But
we just want to always reflect back on last week
because I'm always thankful to have my brother Booths are
on it and then always have a tjmes Mayor of
Hamilton Park because see they always taking notes, you know,
and and and I like to give them opportunity because
they really really uh enjoy talking about what has happened
(04:44):
last week with the person that we had on, which
was Reverend ring Waller. So we're gonna take a little
time and and give the Mayor Hampton Park a chance
to reflect back on on last on two weeks ago
with doctor h I mean, Reverend Rainwater and get boost
the opportunity. Then we're gonna bring on our guest today.
So go ahead, you know I do a t boot
you coming out on behind.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yes, yes, yes, happy happy be lady at Easter everyone,
and a good afternoon to uh everyone that's uh here
on this podcast with us. Uh we last week, if
everyone remember we didn't have a we didn't have a
program because we wanted our our producer and this Valerie
(05:24):
to uh to to have an opportunity to spend a
little time with her family who's out of the state,
and that gave us an opportunity to start reflecting on
what Easter actually really really means and what Easter really
really means to me. It's it's It's reminded me of uh,
something similar that Baby Boy had gone through, was that
(05:47):
when I was growing up at a very early age,
I can I can almost remember starting saying my little
Easter speech when I was about four or five years old,
and my mom would have me dressed basically probably just
like Baby Boy. And the main thing about this Easter speech,
it was always centered around the Easter bunny and Easter eggs,
(06:12):
and that's really not what Easter is all about. Everybody
knows the real meaning that we celebrate Easter. Easter is
a holiday that we should all be proud of, we
should all be thankful for because our Lord, and say,
if that story is centered around him, he's the one
(06:32):
that made Easter a big celebration. Now, I'm not going
to spend that too much time talking about our Easter celebrations,
but I am going to say, I can't ever be
thankful for our heavenly Father sending his son to die
for our sins and then raise from the dead on
(06:54):
the very day. And that's what Easter is really really about,
and that's what we should always try and remember, not
so much about the Easter eggs and the Easter bunny.
No we're talking about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
That's what happened. Easter means. Even though I'm an eighty
(07:16):
one year old person, this time next week, I'll probably
I should be eighty two. I've got a birthday coming up.
I know one thing, and I said, I try to
say it constantly to remind you and to remind myself.
I'm not where I want to be, not all the
way there yet, but I do realize one thing. I'm
not where I used to be, and that's the that's
(07:40):
because our Lord and Savi, it made that possible for us.
He made it possible for all of us, even though
we're sentenced. He said, Look, I am the Way, I
am the Truth, and I am the Life. And look,
we if we keep those keep those three things on
our mind constantly, and we want to live our life
(08:04):
like Jesus lived his life. We know we can't be perfect,
but we can give it a try. And if we
give it a try, and the grace of God will
probably tell us one day if we want to be saved.
He said, Look, trusting my son, trusting what he said.
(08:24):
He said that he would never but he would never
leave you. He would never forsake you, and we can't.
We can't ask anything any better than that. No one
else can us can give us, that can give us
that assurance, no one but our Lord and save you,
Jesus Christ. And I just I'm just so happy because
(08:48):
we are able to find out and to realize that
we do have a way to have for everlasting life.
And what we have to do is it's a trust
in Jesus Christ. I wur Lord and Savior. I can't
see it any plain other than that. I don't want
to say it any plain other than that. I just
(09:09):
want you to know. If you think that you can't
make it, give Jesus a try, and you'd be surprised.
And maybe and maybe maybe not so much as being surprised,
but maybe like me, I was a sinner. Of course,
I know one thing. I'm not where I used to be,
(09:31):
a no bad and that's the good thing about it.
I'm daily weekly, I'm trying to be like Jesus. I
would love to be like Jesus. I've tried to be
like Jesus, God thought, our Heaven, any Father. We can't
(09:52):
go wrong. We always have to do is. But I
would trust in our faith and I would Lorden save
to Jesus Christ and thank you told for the guests
that you that you have for us today. I'm not
gonna attempt uh to call his name. I'll probably butcher
it up. I'll just say something like, man, I'm we're
(10:15):
going to be blessed. I'm pretty sure to hear from
our doctor in.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
CHRISTI Bruce, Yeah, I appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
TJ.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
God bless you.
Speaker 6 (10:26):
Yeah, but you're but you're right, I mean, we all
are going in chrisy uh and always is privileged and
honored to be on the podcast to uplift the name
of our heavenly fathor Jesus Christ. I can say thank
you Jesus over and over and over again. And yes,
it just it just kills my spirit. Uh appreciate the
(10:49):
TOTALI and the doctor baby Boy story. And and perhaps
this is an opportunity today for doctor baby Boy to
complete his happy uh East speech since he she completed
so properly, perhaps he'll he'll complete it today. Uh yeah,
but two weeks ago you had a Reverend William Wayne Water.
(11:13):
What what a blessing, what a blessing to have him
on the on the podcast, and U like what he
was saying, walking in authority, basically walking in God's will
for your life. What a what a powerful message that
he had, and you can just tell he was inspired
by our heavenly Father. He talks about the kidney problems,
(11:37):
uh that he had and had the opportunity to receive
like five different a different cases, not five independently, you know,
had opportunity to have the transplants, but he rejected them.
And he had that relationship with the heavenly Father giving
him the the coscermon and and he eventually you know,
(11:58):
had the kidney transplant, you know, after declining five opportunities then.
And it talked about how others were benefited by the
ones that he rejected, and he could tell he had
a service heart, you know that he was about others.
(12:21):
He wasn't putting himself uh first, and but the but
the helent Father has has lifted him and continued.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
To lift him.
Speaker 6 (12:29):
He talks about uh three books that he that he's
reach and he acknowledges his wife, you know, gave credit
to his wife to support that she's been for men.
And and as we always talk about him, if you
uh find a good wife, you have favor with her
(12:49):
heavenly father. So and he talked about his good good
wife and and praise the Lord for Adam.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
And talked about you know, getting getting wisdom, getting wisdom
and understanding and proverbs the loving two UH tells the
pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom, Get wisdom,
pray for wisdom, and the heaven a poddle will well
(13:18):
will give you the wisdom if you UH ask him
humility and security. And we also he talked about God thinks,
how he how we worded? He said, God thinking, you
have to have God thinks, or being in God's word
because it's uh, it's medicine for your body. And and
(13:41):
and that's powerful right there. God's word is medicine for
your body, he stated that. And it is praise faith
in him, our heaven a father. So he knows what
you need before you even ask him fable offer him
mentioning that and and UH told.
Speaker 6 (14:02):
Read a poem that the comedian uh is his daughter
and had written the charge, Uh, you know that we
must be prepared to fight. Yeah, and that's well, it's
it's spiritual warfare, you know. So you have to get
in the world and and The poem talks about don't
(14:24):
be fearful, so live in the light. By following Jesus
and were living in four thirteen totals, we can do
all things. I who's who strengthened us, don't just and
I appreciate. I'm reading that poem and looking forward to
the podcast today and as always, as always, it's about uplifting,
(14:48):
our helping Father Jesus Christ. Perhaps you know someone that's lost,
they're struggling, they don't know what direction you're going to.
This podcast is about that, letting you know, throwing the
direction of Jesus Christ. That's the life.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
He's the only way. Praise Lord, thank you, thank you,
thank you, Bruies, thank you, brother t J. I'll tell
you it's it's always a blessing. Like I said, how
Brudes come on and TJ come on, and they both
got different angles that they come at him. But the
thing that I love about whatever whatever angle they come at,
is pouring towards Jesus Christy that's that's the little point
(15:27):
towards Jesus. So we we just we again. We were thankful.
We were so thankful that doctor baby Boy and doctor
Martin Broker vaka his own and and so we're gonna
we're gonna give a doctor Mack and Broker opportunity to
to start this thing off, because usually I choose the title.
But I've been knowing him for a while and kind
(15:47):
of knowing some of this some things he had we
went through in it, he went through and how here,
how God has just brought in, brought him for all
of it in and so he he tolse the title.
And uh, since he told the title, I'm gonna let
him open up, uh with the Father m go ahead,
go ahead, doctors. So thank you so much, Doc Martin Box.
Speaker 7 (16:08):
I appreciate y'all having me. And yeah, Kenneth, you know,
to elaborate more on that title. You know, I know
Kenneth and Harry both to know my story. But I'm
thirty two years old, and you know, the father Wound
was inspired by my own father wound. You know, I
grew up with a dad who was physically present but
(16:30):
not mentally present. He you know, was severely mentally ill.
And I'll get more into that later, but later on
in my life, you know, my dad left the family
and so he also became physically absent, and.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
So you know, it wasn't into well into my adult.
Speaker 7 (16:49):
Years, especially after his physical absence, that I realized I
was chasing my loss right And and so I'm a
psychologis just now. And part of what also inspired this
title is I sit with so many people, men and women,
day in and.
Speaker 8 (17:09):
Day out, who have this father wound, who have this
father wound, and they are constantly chasing that whole right,
whether their dad was physically absent or mentally absent, whether
they had a tumultuous relationship with their dad.
Speaker 7 (17:24):
I've noticed such a deep impact that that's had on
men and women and myself, and so I just wanted
to take some time to talk about that. And you know,
I hope this can at least help one person, but
you know, also share my experience in terms of how
God has allowed me to stop chasing my losses, or sorry,
(17:46):
has helped me stop chasing my losses, which I did
for for decades. So anyway, I appreciate you all having me.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
On glad We'll yeah, we're glad to have you. Just
let's just how you want to open up and uh,
and then we'll let we'll let Harry Hopson comments on
what you're saying. Then go Bruce and I teazing and boost,
but you just man, I won't. I want God to
use you to speak to someone after you know, And
(18:18):
and this is gonna help a lot of people because
y'all get some free servants here at the day because
he's a doctor. Then we got doctor baby Boy his
spiritual science. So we're gonna we're gonna touch this in
two different ways because we're trying to help people, but
with more than anything, because of the testimonies that come
from people that find that relationship with God. It's gonna
help people. So go ahead, How would you want to
(18:40):
just start this off talking about that it's on you?
Speaker 7 (18:43):
Yeah, you know, I think we could start off with
the phone call that brought me onto this podcast, right,
so you know, there's I met Kenneth a few years ago,
handful of years ago, and for a while, for a
number of years, you know, Kenneth would call me and
he would, you know, put gas in my gas tank,
(19:04):
all right, metaphorically speaking, furgatively speaking and what I mean
by that, and he used that analogy. But you know,
there were times in my life where I felt very
depleted for whatever circumstance I was dealing with.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
And Kenneth would call and he'd speak.
Speaker 7 (19:21):
Some encouragement to me, and that's what I needed to
get through that next hour or even through that the
rest of the day. So anyway, Kenneth had been doing
that for a number of years, and you know, to
summarize some of my journey, I finished my doctorate back
in August of twenty four and for I worked on
(19:43):
that doctor for five years, and that was my eleventh
year of school. And so whenever I finally finished that doctorate,
you know, I moved back here to Houston, Texas.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
And I didn't know what to do with myself.
Speaker 7 (19:57):
You know, here I was thinking along the way of, Okay,
once I get this this education, you know, once I
get this doctor once I get that title, I'll feel
better about myself. Right as hard as it was going
through that, and that's why I needed, you know, Kennis
gas in the gas tank. I kept having this magical
thinking that, Okay, once I get this title, then I'll
(20:19):
feel better about myself. Well, guess what the title came
in August at twenty four. I didn't feel any better
about myself right now.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Now, Don't get me wrong.
Speaker 7 (20:29):
It felt good to finally achieve that. Of course it
felt good, and I'll never deny that. However, it didn't
last beyond maybe a couple of days. So, even though
I'm thirty two and I know I'm young, I felt
like between August and maybe November December twenty twenty four,
(20:50):
so a few months, I felt like I was going
through this crisis in my life where I no longer
knew what to do with myself, right, And so, I mean,
Kenneth has heard me. You know, there were times throughout
those months where you know, I contemplated suicide. And it
(21:13):
wasn't only because of that crisis that I just referred to,
but it was because of a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Right.
Speaker 7 (21:19):
Part of it was that father wound that I'm describing.
Part of it where it was other relational circumstances that
I had gone through. I had tried everything to try
and fill that hole that my father left, right, and
at the end of the day, it couldn't fill me.
So I kept thinking to myself, now, what you know,
(21:40):
you know, I can go out and I can party,
I can go out and you know, show that I'm educated.
I can go out and make money. But at the
end of the day, nothing was filling me. Nothing was,
and so Kenneth heard me on the phone multiple times
throughout those months where I was at my wits and
(22:02):
I didn't know what to do.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
I was desperate. There were mornings where I.
Speaker 7 (22:07):
Would wake up and just ask God to please help
me feel better, even for a minute, because I was
in so much pain.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
And it wasn't.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
Until New Year's Eve. So New Year's Eve is twenty
twenty four that I was again attempting to fill that
hole through meaninglessness, and I felt God speak to me,
and the message that I was getting was how much
longer are you going to do this? How much longer
(22:39):
are you going to continue to chase your losses? And
I thought to myself, Okay, between the ages of roughly
eighteen and thirty two, so about fourteen years, I was
chasing the loss of my father, right. I was trying
to fill it with women. I was trying to fill
it with parting. I was trying to it with education
(23:01):
and status. And it didn't do it for fourteen years, right,
And so I got that question of Okay, how much
longer are you going to do this? And it was
then that something finally clicked of Okay, let me try
something different. Let me actually try staying committed to you, God,
(23:23):
and see where that leads me. And so, you know,
I'd grown up in church. My mom did a really
good job of emphasizing the need for church and having
that spiritual home. But of course, naturally, especially as you
get into your adult years, a lot of people drift,
and that was the case for me. So I drifted
(23:44):
from my spirituality. And it wasn't until January this year
that I started giving God a serious try. And again,
not that I was ever not a believer. I'd always
been a believer, but I had never really given him
a full try. And so starting in January, I started
giving him a serious cry week in and week out.
(24:08):
You know, I was committed to going to church. I
stopped the chasing, and I got another message. You know,
growing up, I would always hear about people saying, oh,
you know, God spoke to me, and God told me this,
and I never understood that. I always thought to myself,
how that, you know, did you hear something?
Speaker 3 (24:28):
You know? Are you sure it wasn't your own head?
How right?
Speaker 7 (24:32):
But I didn't realize what people meant until I had
that experience on my own sometime in late January, I
was at church and I felt this message playing in
my head, and I know it could have only been
God saying you did good, Son, you all right? And
(24:53):
for fourteen years. Might get a little emotional here, but
for fourteen years, I was trying to prove to myself,
and I was trying to prove to my dad that
wasn't there that hey, I'm doing good right, you know,
by chasing this education and chasing it like I'm doing
(25:14):
good right. Meanwhile, my dad couldn't answer that. My dad
couldn't answer that, And so I got this message, this
comforting message in January of hey, you did good, You've
done good, You're good, stop acting like you're not. And
(25:34):
it was at that moment that I mean, I broke
down and I realized, all right, you know, I'm gonna
stop the chasing now. Don't get me wrong, Don't get
me wrong. The temptations don't just go away right. One
of my favorite lines from a Jars of Clay song
is although my heart has been worn, sorry, although my
(25:54):
heart has been torn by the loves that I've worn,
I'm tempted by them ever still, and I'm still tempted.
Don't get me wrong. I'm still tempted. But if you
could think of it like the knob on a stove, right,
that temptation went from a level ten to maybe a
level four or five, depending on the day. But now
(26:15):
I know better. Now I know if I go out
and party. Now I know, if I go out and
chase you know, prestige or title or or anything else
aside from God, it leaves me empty. It leaves me
feeling more empty than I did before. Right, And so
I got to the bottom of that emptiness, and I
thought to myself, man, how much longer? How much longer? So,
(26:41):
you know, rewind back to what I started to open
up with. You know, about a month ago, I had
it on my mind to call Kenneth, Like I said,
usually he had been calling me for all these years.
But I decaid, you know what, I'm gonna call Kenneth
and let him know that I'm doing good without him
checking up on me. And so I called him and
(27:02):
I let him know, Hey, you know, I just want
to let you know that you know, I'm serious now,
and you know, this is the longest I've given God
a serious try, more committed try, And I just wanted
to encourage him and let him know that that things
have turned around for me. And so that's what led
(27:22):
me to this podcast.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Yah yeah, wow, Yeah, it's not time for me to
jump in, but I can't hold it any at home.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Wow, Doctor mock and Locker. It could take some people
thirty two years like it may have taken you to
find out that the Lord is our savior. He's the
one that we need in our life. He is the reason.
This is what you told me. God has helped me
(28:04):
to feel a void that had been in my life
a number of years. I mean, God, I had I
had been successful in my degree of getting my degrees,
I had been successful in doing both. I had been
successful at doing a number of things, but I still
had this iptness in my life, this empty feeling. Every
(28:29):
once in a while, you would talk with Kenneth paul
I would give you a call and you would talk
with him and you would let him know how things
were going. You were doing pretty good, but you still
didn't feel as though you were living. There was this
void that was there. You needed some guidance, and Kenneth
was able to give you some guidance at that particular time,
(28:52):
but he wasn't able to give you everything that you needed.
I was lost. I needed something I needed God. I
needed I needed something that I didn't know what it
was that I needed. And then, finally, finally Year's Eve
twenty twenty four, God said, how much long? How much
(29:15):
long are you gonna try everything else? What ain't you
gonna put your trust in me? Let me try to commit,
You said, let me try to commit. Let me try
and commit my life to the Lord. I tried. I
(29:36):
tried in January of twenty twenty five. I was in minded.
It's never too late to try. God, the Lord is
my shepherd. Finally admitted that the Lord was your shepherd.
After fourteen years, you finally found God. Who did you?
Speaker 4 (30:04):
Did?
Speaker 1 (30:05):
You? Did you have? That's what your confession is saying.
That's what your testimony is all about today. That's why
you're feeling free to tell the world. Look, you can
accomplish a number of things, but if you don't have
the Lord and Savior in your life, you're not going
to be a happy temper. The Lord is our shepherd.
(30:27):
He is the one that leads us. You said this.
I'm not saying it. You said it. I'm reading what
you said. You said now I know better. God is
so good. And I told Kenneth the other day, I'm
serious about trying the Lord. I'm serious about putting God
(30:48):
in my life. I'm serious about this, Kenneth. And you
was telling us. Look, Kenneth, I I appreciate you hanging
in there with me man when I needed someone to
lean on. But now I know that I can lean
on my heaven Father, I can lean on God. I
can lean on the person that you've been telling me about, Gnant.
(31:08):
I finally got the message, and you know what, it's
not too late. That's why you're here with us today,
letting the world know the look. Things can be so
so discouraging. Even though you may be successful, but you
will still have those empty boards in your life. God
is my shepherd. I shall not want he making me
(31:31):
to lie down in green pastures. He leading me beside
the steel waters, who restores my soul. He leading me
down the valley of the sheriff that I will fear
no evil from. My God is with me. He's riding
his stath. That's such comfort of me. The Lord is
my shepherd. The Lord is our shepherd, and he wants
(31:52):
you to let the world know doc. He wants you
to let the world know. He wants you to tell
the world gl he wants the world to hear your testimony,
and then we may be able to have someone else
to find out Lord and shapey Jesus Christ. Thank you doctor.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
Yeh yeh man. I tell you, Mars, it's a blessing.
I'm letting let Bruce go. And then and then I
got doctor babyball Man. And because he's gonna touch it
on on the spiritual side too, because you know he
had the doctors and then in the in theology, and
so we're gonna time. But go ahead, go ahead, bu Bruce,
I know you touched. You're exactly right, uh to. I mean,
(32:35):
thank you Lord, praise praise you see raiser for him
being on the podcast, is his being for ser his humility.
I mean he's coming on the podcast, you know, talking
about himself. People are the challenges that he that he
went through, and that it boils down to establishing a
(32:59):
relationship them with their healing and father. It's not about
obtaining this and a pain that I mean, you may
you may get this, but it's not going to bring
you to joy. Real happiness that's going.
Speaker 6 (33:13):
To come from your relationship with Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
And again he's law for him being on.
Speaker 6 (33:20):
The podcast not knowing it's going to help someone out there.
It's chasing something that's not going to bring them fulfillment.
You're going to get that fulfillment when you allow our
Heaven to farther into your life and direct you. That's
going to put me.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Going to find the joy, the peace, find the fruit
of the spirit, love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, generous self control, patience, faithfulness,
and and and that's what it's about about that. And
I praise that someone that's out there of your loss
(33:58):
and you're struggling with no direction, or that you achieve
something and you haven't a fellow, a joy that you're
looking for. Listen to what uh Dr Marshall ists stating, right,
I mean deep down real joy when it is status relationship.
But I have let and that doesn't mean that there's
(34:21):
still not going to be challenges. Then that's why they
really power going to try to get dancing to tempt you.
We try to distract you. That's why we know we
have to stay in the world, say and the out
and it'll fight your the powers for you. And again
I appreciate them being on the podcast sharing that with us.
(34:45):
It helps on it and that's what the podcast is about.
This is not about glorifying any one of us on
this podcast, yes and ways say, no one is all
here is getting any monetary gain from this. We're just
trying to get the word out of forced to it.
Like the poem well, I mean two weeks ago the
(35:06):
comedian that it's this spiritual warfare and there's nothing to
play around with. And that's why. And I appreciate Paul
in the in his relationship that that he has with
with doctor Marshall, so uh he could be on the
podcast and getting this testimony to help others, so that
(35:27):
you know what it's about. Thanks boy, I think Jesus.
I'm just I mean, I feel my spirit is people.
I mean it really is. I know, yeah, I know
mine boost to and uh you know, I gotta bring
I gotta bring doctor baby all ball with a little
respect because uh, my time to be funny is at
(35:50):
the beginning. Yes, but after after my brother, uh doctor
Martin Blocker, Dodtor Marshall come on with such a great
testimony like that.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Yeah, it ain't no, I can't.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
It's got to be all seriousness after this, you know,
joom bug gotta just be quiet. Just this is serious
because he he has made a powerful statement to the
listening audience around the world that that we here fishing
for soul. We're not bringing We're not bringing people on
here bragging about themselves. This mean he got his doctors.
(36:23):
You know, now, I got I got my beg the
brother coming on. He got his doctor and he understands.
So God, I'm gonna call your having this time go ahead? Yeah,
because you know told Riches, you know degree all that
stuff that doesn't define me. You know, you know that
a relationship with crisis is that defines you. And uh
(36:47):
to doctor markson Boxer. I appreciate his authenticity. I appreciate
his it's openness to be real. Do you know how
hard it is to be open and honestly about yourself.
I think we all have to do this introspective about
ourselves and begin to realize what God is always trying
(37:09):
to do, and He's always trying to draw us in
a deeper relationship with him. And I've said this all
the time, Joe does not come from our circumstances and situations.
They come from a relationship with Christ. And the one
thing that I personally try to do with clients is
that a lot of times, the people that I'm speaking
(37:31):
to they know God. I'm not trying to find God,
but I'm trying to help them recognize the presence of God,
the presence of God in their situation. Just like Marshall
was saying, he knows God, but God just wasn't present
(37:53):
in the moment. And God always gets this man when
you've been brought up by a mother who loves the Lord.
I know Marshall's mother who's brought him up up loving God.
And sometimes life pushes us away at the soul level,
(38:14):
we get disconnected. When I say, at at the soul level,
we've all been empty. At the soul level, we get
empty our in our thinking and our desires and our will,
and it pushes us in areas that doesn't look like Christ.
But then his presence is revealed. And sometimes that's why
(38:37):
we need one another. That's why when someone comes along
and shares a word with you when you're down, when
you're empty, and if someone that's called you've never been empty,
I would tell you you're not being honest with yourself. This
life causes us to go empty, and what we just
we just want to hear a word from somebody. Somebody
(38:59):
calls you in courage. I've been there, you know. Once
she knows our family story, he knows it where you
just need encouragement from others. For me, I've had older
brothers that have been able to encourage me alone the
way I had a mother who was like the greatest
counsel ball who could encouraged us when we're down. So
(39:21):
anybody's listening to this call, If you really think you
can walk through life alone, you're gonna be sadly disappointed.
As Jefferson said, the Lord he is our shepherd, my shepherd.
That's how we get through such situations. That we put
(39:41):
our trust and confidence in Him. It's not in ourselves.
It's never going to be in our degrees. If that's
your identity, your identity has been it's been this place.
Our identity is in Christ. The word says it is
if we've been seated with Christ. Sasire two sixties says,
we're seated with Christ. And the problem is is that
(40:04):
that has to trands transition into the soul. Sometimes it
never makes there, it never gets there. It never gets
to it, never gets started thinking and our will and
our desire. But he's he's still there with you. But
the transformation happens at the soul level. That's why it's
it really is all about the soul, because that's the
(40:25):
part that has to be trans has to be transformed.
The spirit is perfect when he is take When you
were born again, he took over your spirit and begins
to spreading himself as a life giving spirit into your
spirit that saturates your soul. Now I'm thinking christ like,
I'm acting christ like, I'm reasoning christ like. My will
(40:48):
is christ Like, my desire is christ Like. But he's
working in those areas. So I would tell anyone that's
on this car, when you've accepted you, that's just the beginning.
There's work for you. That's a passive part. Christ did
all the work on the Cross, and we're coming out
of Easter. He's alive now in us. Now we have
(41:10):
to do the work. When you know him as Marshall
knows him, He's gonna get his man. Because you've been
called and God has a purpose for your life, and
he's gonna keep chasing you. He will chase us down.
That's why I love him. We have a heavenly father
(41:32):
that we can call on in any time, and the
we have we have one another. That's why the body
of believers is imperative the body when one person hurts,
we have a body of believers that can come along
one another and spur us along. So if you out
(41:52):
there or not, you're not part of a body of believers.
I'm gonna tell you now, Wub what you're doing. Find
a community that can pour into you, that can help
you when you come to the when you come to
the end where you you feel like there's you've done
off you can, you've got, you have all the accolades,
you've made, all the money, and you feel empty. It
(42:13):
happens you need someone to come along and allow you
to begin to see what crisis has always been doing
in your life. And then now his presence, you can
recognize his presence in your conscious. You can never be
unconscious of God, but this world will call us because
(42:36):
I'm unconscious. I would just say to anyone, let the
presence of God be with you every day. You've found God,
the God wants to be with you every single day.
That's why the Ible talks about renewing your mind. I'm
renewing my mind daily. That's not a one time deal.
It's renewing daily because the enemy is chasing us down
(42:59):
and we need this Holy Spirit to keep us walking
in the spirit so we can compare to other a
heavenly father and do his will, not the will of
the enemy. So appology, marshall, thank you brother for for
just giving us your story. And I'm fired up because
I'm seeing the work that that that you're doing. And
(43:22):
Guy's been wrestling with you to get you to this point.
Guy's not unaware of it. He's aware of it. He
brings us all through our own story to make us
look more like him. Man, that's a good guy. He's
transformed us every day and he uses our circumstances and
our situations. And I'm so glad that you seeing how
your past situation is not hindering you anymore, but you're
(43:44):
allowing God to grow you to the man that he's
always desired for you. That's good news. That's good news.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
I appreciate that, Harry.
Speaker 7 (43:54):
And yeah, you know you're you're definitely one of the
men that has poured into my life. And you know,
and absence of my dad. You know, I want to
actually go off one of the words that you use
in terms of God chasing us. You know, I'll tie
in my professional work a bit, but you know, I
work with teens and adults. So I provide therapy to
(44:15):
teens and adults, and I'd say roughly half my clientele
are teenagers.
Speaker 3 (44:21):
And you know, some of these teenagers.
Speaker 7 (44:23):
That I counsel, you know, they struggle academically, they struggle
with substances, they struggle with with relationships. And this didn't
come to me through my years of training. This came
to me as I just as I sat with with
countless teenagers over the years, over the past decade. But
(44:45):
you know, I started to realize one of the things,
or one of the influential.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
Factors in.
Speaker 7 (44:53):
The problems or I guess the presenting problem of a
lot of these teams. Now, don't get me wrong, this
is not to blame. I'm simply sharing context and what
I've observed, So it's not about blame. But you know,
for these kids who are struggling academically, or these kids
who are struggling with substance or relationships, are the top
(45:15):
three that I see. You know, a lot of them
have parents who are very supportive, who have given every
resource they can imagine. They spent thousands and thousands of
dollars on tutoring, on therapy, on you name it, whatever
it is for the kid. At the end of the day,
(45:35):
the kid continues to struggle. So I'll use the most
common one, which is like academic struggles. Right, but the
kid will continue to struggle academically despite parents throwing all
the resources at them, all the money, I mean, being
as supportive as they can be, and the parents are frustrated.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
Right.
Speaker 7 (45:55):
So I've observed through sitting with these scenes is the
parents want success more than the child does. So the
parent wants their child to be more relationally successful than
the child does. The parent wants the child to be
more academically successful than the child does. Well, what ends
(46:18):
up happening, and again I see this all the time
every week. What ends up happening is a child ends
up resisting. Okay, they know that parent is supportive, they
know that parent is trying to push a resource on them,
you know, to get them the help that they need. However,
it's human psychology.
Speaker 3 (46:39):
One oh one.
Speaker 7 (46:40):
I think we've all been here before. Regardless of whether
our parents, you know, we're supportive or not. We resist
what our parents say, right, especially in our teen years,
And so the parents don't realize that out of them
wanting it more, i' buillet it down to this, whenever
the parent wants something more for their kid than the
(47:01):
kid wants for themselves, what comes out of that is pushing.
And then what comes out of the pushing is resistance. Right,
And I've observed the parents as way more anxious.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
Than the child is.
Speaker 7 (47:16):
So you know, the parent is constantly checking grades, checking grades,
Oh why do you have this missing assignment? You know,
why did you get you know, this failing grade in
whatever class? Meanwhile, you know the child is chilling, right,
And so out of the parental anxiety comes pushing, and
then out of pushing comes resistance. And so what I've encouraged,
(47:39):
as hard as it is, what I've encouraged a lot
of the parents that I work with and the teens
of the parents that I work with to do is
as hard as it is to back off. Right now,
that doesn't mean not caring. I'd be concerned about the
parent who shows up and says, h, I could care
less whether my child, you know, gets a twenty or
a ninety in math, doesn't matter. I'm concerned about that parent, right,
(48:04):
So by no means am I encouraging the parents to
not care. But what I'm saying is resists the temptation
to push right. And I've noticed whenever parents do that, suddenly,
you know, I said, magically in air quotes, the child
stopped resisting, and then lailat grades are improved, right, relationships,
(48:27):
you know, they're they're a little bit better off relationally.
Not that that's the only factor, but I noticed the
huge factor. So let me draw that professional lens to
something that I was reflecting on in prayer just a
few nights ago, as I was thinking about today's podcast.
So I've observed that, and I've been encouraging what I
just shared to to parents professionally, you know, over the
(48:49):
past few years. But I realized, so so Harry use
the word chase. I realized that God chases me, but
he doesn't push me right because he designed us right.
And like I said, human psychology one O one, God
knows that if he pushes us and he's we would
(49:10):
just resist, right. And so you get people that often question, well,
you know, if God is so powerful. If God is,
you know, why does he give us free will? Why
doesn't he all just make us worship him? Well, it
wouldn't work that way. We would resist him again, human psychology,
one on one. So I've realized throughout these fourteen years
(49:32):
that I was referring to that God was chasing me,
but he never pushed me because I would have continued
to resist. And you know I mentioned that parental anxiety.
God isn't anxious. God isn't anxious about what we're going
to do, what we're not going to do, if we're
going to continue on on a certain path for decades
until the day that we die, or if we don't. Right,
(49:54):
He's not up there biding his nails, right, And so
I realize, Man, what kind of parent does that? What
kind of parent doesn't push but yet orchestrates my life
in a way where I still get what I need?
Speaker 1 (50:15):
Right?
Speaker 7 (50:16):
And I haven't met a parent professionally obviously personally who
does that, who doesn't push yet still orchestrates. Because there
have been times in my life where I know God
wanted me to be better off relationally, where God wanted
me to be better off than I was treating myself.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
So he wanted it more than I did. However, he
doesn't push.
Speaker 2 (50:41):
Yeah, yeah, that's good.
Speaker 7 (50:43):
And so he was still able to sty I'll just
finish up. He was still able to orchestrate me getting
what I need despite him wanting it more. And and
I don't I don't know what kind of parent does that.
So anyway, I just wanted to share that that connection
between my professional observations and my own personal life, you.
Speaker 2 (51:08):
Know, that's the offering. I appreciate you that connection. You know,
I just thinking of what you just said. You know,
God chases, but he doesn't push, and that that's who
he is, right, And I would say that he he
loves us this way because he wants to transform our heart.
We can't transform a heart if we if he's pushing,
(51:29):
and it's it's his he and you're not desiring. He
wants to change us from the inside out. And and
and that comes with us recognizing of his goodness, that
we become conscious of his goodness on our own and
then that love, then that grows out of us, and
(51:50):
that love grows towards us because we we we come
to understand price for ourselves and we understand and the
price that was paid for this freedom that we have,
the Cross. When we think about the Cross in that
someone had to die and sacrifice their all for me
(52:13):
to be in my right now, this wretched center that
I am, which I am a wretched center. But for God,
when you come to that realization, he doesn't have to
push because you know the goodness. He's like, oh, no,
I know of my heaven you father die for I
know what took place. I know that He's forgiving me
(52:37):
of all my sins, and I'm free now from our
past president and future sins. He says, go sind no more.
That's a good fog. So that's why he doesn't push,
because he wants us to come into this deep love
that his presence is on our conscious mind twenty four
to seven. And if this conscience is on your mind
twenty four to seven, there's no need to push because
(53:00):
I'm walking in his ways and we're gonna slip every
now then, but I'm but I'm going back to my
heavenly Father. I'm going back to remember my mind in
the word of God. That's why friture, that's why meditation,
that's why iron sharpening iron. We need one another to
say this course, because the enemy is busy and as
(53:21):
you started out, Watto, this tank gets empty every now
and then. We can't do it alone. But this is
what we do on this podcast, a great testimony sharing
somebody's being blessed, raised guy for this this time. You know,
you know, I'll tell you what I was. I was
reflecting back back because I know Ruth and today was
(53:42):
reflecting back to Reverend Rainwaters. He talked about getting the
word on your hard drive. I remember getting the word
on the hard drive. And and I think that, uh,
that's part of the thing that Marshall's talking about and
Hiring's talking about, because I'm know how I always talks
about that in him and a man. But and I
(54:03):
know Boots is always talking about, you know, get in
the word, get in the word, Get in the word.
That's where the strength gonna come from. Get in the word.
You know you got you gotta be called devil out
you just you gotta rebuke the devil with the word,
you know. And and and and for me to to
to have Marshall own and knowing that Harry introduced me
to Marshals and knowing that my mom introduced brutes and
(54:25):
telling ourselves to and my other brothers that passed away
introduced us to Jesus Christ. And now he's on our
hard drive. He's on our hard drive. Man, can't nobody
come when they can't get to the hard drive? You know,
they but the hard drive. You know. It's like I'm
thinking about the Earth Plane when they got to get
the black box. You know what? And I guess tell
(54:47):
me they're trying to find.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
A black box.
Speaker 2 (54:48):
Din plane is destroyed, people dead, but all they want
to do is get to the get to the black box. See,
that's the thing that we gotta try to realize, is
that we just gotta got to get Jesus Christ on
our hard drive. Bruce got him on his hard drive.
T J got on this on his hard drive. Marshall
has him on his hands up, Harry hap him on
his hard drive. That's the real deal is getting it
(55:11):
on your hard drive that you want to get in
the words, You got to get in the words. But
you know, and and I'm so I'm so excited Marshall man,
you know, you just don't know how how you made
us feel coming on today. Man, what what what you're
talking about?
Speaker 1 (55:29):
And uh?
Speaker 2 (55:29):
And I want I'm gonna give I know a lot
has been said with Harry coming on and pouring his
heart out and giving us that spiritual side. And then
we've heard Marshall and and so I'm want to give
a Boots and TJ an opportunity to just say something again.
Go ahead, go ahead, TJL a couple of minutes, and
then get Boots a couple of minutes.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Doctor Everett. These are
some of the faults. These are some of the things
that you were putting in our minds. You're telling us slop.
I want to tell you something that I would truly
think would help you. Be honest with God. Have a
relationship with God and his presence. Love your God. At
(56:08):
a soul level, we need we need someone to be
a like a friend, like a mother, like a grandmother,
an older brother like the Lord. The Lord is my shepherd.
The soul has to be working for us, the mone
(56:32):
the soul has to be working for us. Let go
and let God God, God would be with us every day.
God wants us to be like him, Doctor Marshall. They
you were telling me that they may have a little problem.
(56:54):
We're talking about the parents now, with the kids. They
may have a prom but we don't want to brain
blame them for having a problem. We got to realize
if they're a parent and they need the help, just
like the kid does. God knows God, God, God chases us.
(57:16):
We look. God is so good. He's not a pushy,
he's not a he's not He's not going to demand.
He's going to always give you the opportunity to make
your own decision. And the best decision that we can
make is to trust in our Lord and I will
(57:36):
save Jesus cast if we have any type of problem.
And that's coming from my brother Harry, and that's coming
from doctor Marshall. It's very simple, y'all all. We have
to do trust in our Lord and our Savior, trusting
him on everything every level, and do it every day.
(57:58):
It's not just a Monday through Friday situation. There's some
Monday to Sunday situation, y'all. This is seven day a week,
twenty four to seven, three hundred and sixty five days
a year. We can always trust in our garden safe
you thank you, Harry.
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Ess go ahead, but Ruth, thank you. Yeah, appreciate that. TV.
When I hear you talking man in my spirit. I
get excited. I do because you're exactly the right, and
we know it's a whole about our heavenly Father. You
have to be answered in Jesus Christ. You can't wavor,
you can't waver, there cannot be any doubts. You have
(58:36):
to be sold out for a heavenly father. And since
the time of this podcast was the Father Woman found
sixty eighty five tells us he will be the father
of the fathers.
Speaker 9 (58:51):
Let go and let God yeah with regardless of your background,
regardless if there's a father in your life or not,
regardless of their is a mother in your life or not,
regardless if you've been abused or not.
Speaker 1 (59:08):
If you want.
Speaker 2 (59:08):
Direction, and you're like, pray, Lord, thank you, turn your
life over to Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1 (59:16):
I'm a witness.
Speaker 2 (59:18):
I'm a overitness of that. I'm talking about experience, I know.
And that's why I'm so excited when I get to
talking about Jesus Christ and that I want to help
someone else that's loast. Listen to what doctor Marshall is saying.
It's not about all these materialistic things. It's not it's empty.
(59:40):
All it's going to do is bring you more emptiness.
Jesus said the teams that we have a life, and
then we have it abundantly, and that's not about just
materialistic things. Be thankful for everything. Help they don't mind.
(01:00:02):
Loved ones in your life.
Speaker 6 (01:00:05):
One day at a time, one moment at a time.
Don't take it for granted. There's a war for her
his will, fathers, fathers. I just don't need to say this.
If you're not in your kid's life for some reason,
(01:00:26):
for others, get in your kid's life because they're perhaps
you don't have a good relationship with the mother.
Speaker 4 (01:00:33):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:00:34):
Get in your.
Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
Kids and bring Jesus Christ with you. Of course it's
he'll guaranteed. I mean that they will probably have a father.
Hopefully they will, because God kills just free will. You know,
you may do all you can. They still be streams
and hopefully they don't or reason bide them with.
Speaker 6 (01:00:59):
What can sustain what can help him your life.
Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
That's the only thing. There's Lord a way, Thank you Jesus.
There is no other way.
Speaker 6 (01:01:10):
Jesus is the way, the truth and all the life
right Yes, in your life, over to Jesus.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
Christ before it's too late. Regauds for what situation in
your hands? Gods? Will you heard Marshall's state, God is real.
Established that relationship with him, then he'll help you and
he'll fulfill whatever you He's all. Praise Lord, Thank you Jesus.
(01:01:39):
Go ahead, Washington.
Speaker 7 (01:01:40):
I was just gonna say, you know, I was, well,
you know, reflecting before for this podcast today. You know,
I was thinking to myself the way I know, and
it's not my job to convince people, right, but it's
my job to just share my testimuni. The way I
know that God is real because I'm still here today, right.
(01:02:04):
You know that there are times when I've woken up
and I don't I don't know how. Oh, I'm sorry.
I didn't know how I woke up. I didn't know
how I woke up. And there are times where I
look back and I'll be totally transparent. We're based on
(01:02:25):
the things I got myself into. I should have been dead.
I should have been dead. I mean I lost count
of those times, right, and those times were usually at
the pits of my despair. But the reason I know
that God is still here is because that God is lived,
(01:02:47):
is because I'm still here. Yeah, But you know, and
so whoever whoever I'm speaking to, you know, whether it's
it's a father wound or a mother wound. If you're
searching for anything external to try to steal that wounded,
just know it's a band aid, right, and you may
(01:03:10):
try and find something. You know, I've heard recently everybody,
regardless if they admit it or not, everybody is trying
to find God. It's just a matter of how they're
trying to find God. And eventually you'll realize that the
band aid isn't fully healing it right, and you may search.
Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
Okay, well, how do I know God is real? Well,
look at the look at all.
Speaker 7 (01:03:30):
The times where you've tried searching elsewhere, and that could
have left you dead.
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
So I don't know who that may help. Who you know,
who's who might listen to that, but but I hope
it helps.
Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
I appreciated. Wow, Wow, you know I got my daughter.
She decided today. I mean, God has a way of
bringing who we need to come on and she wants
to show because he's got a chance to hear and
she's been touched. And so I got, I got princess
committed here before he let have it. Someone say go ahead,
(01:04:05):
go ahead to Communia.
Speaker 10 (01:04:07):
Well, when you talk about the provisions of God, because
we're here by his grace and we saint the Lord
each day, he said, and we make up when we
wake up. The scripture our loves say that God's love
never ends, and his mercy is new every morning. Everyone,
we have new mercy and grace. I mean, mom. The
scripture says, God, you go before me and follow me.
(01:04:28):
That's God's protection. You go before me and follow me.
You face your hands of blessings on my head Psalms
one thirty ninety five. God goes before it makes a way.
But God is so on the president and so always.
He's just there everywhere once where. He goes before us,
but he also falls behind us. So when God has
your front and your back says no way, you can't fail.
(01:04:52):
You won't know you will fail when God is in
front of you and behind you and covering you. Now,
I think the Lord for his curny has all his children,
and the blessing he has over our lives will no
matter where we go through or what we may endure
in this life, he plays his hand of blessings on
our head. And if it haven't been for the blessing
the hand and blessing of God on our head. Where
(01:05:12):
would we be if it hadn't been of God's hands
upon us? Where would we be if it hadn't been
for the grace of God? Where will we be if
the Lord had not been by my side? Where would
I be?
Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
Where would we be if it.
Speaker 10 (01:05:24):
Hadn't been for God's hands. I don't worry my other
hands on in the God. Then man's hand can fail,
doctor can fail. Doctors can fail you time and time
they've lost cases. But God never loses a person. He's
never lost the one. God is a God that provides
and is there day in and day out because he
(01:05:45):
goes before us. I'm thankful that I serve a God
that goes before me.
Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
What a blessing.
Speaker 10 (01:05:52):
I have to work on my future because my God
goes before me. I work on my past to my
God with following me, for he worked out my past
for the future he prepared for me. I'm thankful for
the Lord for going before me and following me and
placing his hands of blessings on my head. Everybody's podcast
in my dad's hat has God's hand of blessing on
(01:06:13):
their heads. And it's a blessing. To know that God
blesses his people to be a testimony somebody else going
through they're healed by the word of their testimony. The textloony.
Everybody's been on this show has healed people all over,
not because of them, but by because of the hands
(01:06:33):
of blessing that God puts on a So if you're
going to something today, know that God can of blessing
is on you. You may not see it right now,
but it doesn't mean it's not there. You wake up
like you said, you woke up hand of blessing? Are
you walking hands of blessing? Are you talking hand bless
the limb? Moving hand of blessing over your life wherever
(01:06:55):
you go, if you are in our of form. No,
just because Lord says to me it's not God. His
handle blessing is over your life, touching you and crafting
you into what He wants you to be. God will
shape you, but the process is not always easy. The
same of the matter is God goes before and he
(01:07:17):
followed after after. I'm covered by the front and the
back and the sides. There's no way that enemy can
infiltrate and to my camp because God has made a
way for each and every one of his children. Our
God is to walk in the blessings of God. So
please remember Sounds one thirty ninety five. You go before
me and follow me. You place the hands of blessing.
Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
On my head.
Speaker 2 (01:07:43):
Black man, Hey, hold on, wait a Maneter Siffins in
the eye. I gotta tell somebody, I gotta tell them.
I gotta tell the to Co you know in the
old days, but the one that got happy and they're
all screaming and hollering me, the one that food. I'm like,
bring sister swiff up. I'm just so I'm just so
exited about how we fireful the Lord. Everybody. Uh, doctor
(01:08:08):
doctor baby go ahead, doctor baby boy. No, I'm just
just processing, uh, the whole podcast. And thank you Tom,
just reminding us of who Christ is and just want
to remind us, you know, we'll secure. Our spirit is
secure in Christ. It's it's just because we have mishaps
in life, it doesn't it doesn't have to take us
(01:08:30):
out of our position. They shouldn't take us our position,
and our position is in Christ. We are seated with Him.
We're we're secure. We want to we want to disqualify
ourselves because of the past and whatever that's it, I'm
I'm still there with you. We have to get this
identity of that's in Christ, that we're in Christ. It
has to begin to transform our reasoning, and this happens
(01:08:54):
at the soul level, in our desires, in our choices.
When it began to transform this inner person, then this
identity is all over us twenty four to seven. But
it has to start renewing our mind. We're renewing our soul.
The spirit is perfect. He is taking over our spirit.
(01:09:19):
It's perfect. The body is dead, but we're alive in
the spirit and the soul. What is what drives Ever
you think I need to keep parking on that, But
that's where the battle is. The enemy is going after
our soul. He's going after our thinking, he's going after
our desires, he's going after our will, and we're falling
(01:09:43):
for it. Keep our mind on Christ. That is our identity.
That the identity is being worked out in our soul.
We know who we are, but it has to work
itself out in the soul. At it again, reasoning, our
desires and our choices. Our choices are to look like Christ.
(01:10:06):
Our desires are to be like Christ. Our reasoning should
always sit on Christ. When is their time. You're not
reasoning and desiring and choosing, you're doing that every time
you get up in the morning. So it ought to
be built in Christ, nothing but Christ, because that's what
that's our freedom is in Christ, and that's how we
(01:10:28):
love him. In our thinking and our choices and our
desires is christ like. And when they don't line up,
the world says, take those thoughts captives and make him
obedient to Christ. And you know what it says, thats
and be to punish disobedience. But the Word says, that's
(01:10:50):
that's where we have to funk. That's what we have
to concentrate. Let's get the soul in order. There are
a lot of broken souls walking around. It's about soul restoration.
That's what we're talking about here, because when the spirit
is good, the soul is what the problem is. Mm
hmm hm. I tell you, I mean, I've been really
(01:11:12):
moved today. Uh, I tell you, doctor marshall Man, I'm
so thankful that we got a chance that towns so
you could come on it and go fishing in and
and so you got to tell everybody to listen to
this podcast again and again and again especially because this
this is like a counseling session. You know, I got
(01:11:34):
two doctors on psychology, and then and then the soul spiritual,
the mind, body and soul. You know, we got the
mind body and soulding. And then then for us to
know that each one of us on this UH podcast
today is sold out for Jesus Christ. We so we
sold out. We sold out, you know, And and I
(01:11:56):
need my listener. You need to tell somebody about what
we're doing. You need to tell somebody that if you
listen that podcast, it's gonna be all about Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
It ain't.
Speaker 2 (01:12:06):
It's not gonna be fake. It's not gonna be no gossip.
It mean it when not one time we talked about torum.
Now one thing we talking about Jesus Christ. And that's
what we're trying to get y'all understand. Start your conversation,
he said, keep you something conversation, Holy God, your conversations
talking about talking about Jesus Christ, and you'll cut out
(01:12:27):
some of the people trying to come and gossip to you.
You just start talking about Jesus, they gonna they gonna
leave you. They ain't gonna Well, I well, I just
here to talk to you later. They ain't gonna wanna
talk about Jesus, but it's left up to us and
Marshall once again, man, what would if you had to
say some last words? Man Marshall, what would you say
to the listening audience out there that's struggling? What would
(01:12:48):
you have to say to them?
Speaker 7 (01:12:51):
You know, I think what what I've learned that's been
most profound is is stop chasing your losses. And you
know I elaborated on that a little bit, but you know,
in a nutshell what I mean by that is, again,
if you are suffering from, you know, the loss of
(01:13:13):
a father, whether it be physically or mentally, or the
loss of a mother, or whoever it is that's been significant, right,
whatever type of relationship, or maybe it's the loss of
a career, right, whatever it is, stop chasing your losses
by means of something else that's external, because all that's
doing is you're shooting yourself in the foot. And take
(01:13:36):
that from someone who's doing it for fourteen years of
shooting myself in the foot because I was chasing the loss.
Speaker 3 (01:13:44):
Of my dad, you know, I was trying to fill
that hole with.
Speaker 7 (01:13:48):
Education and partying and relationships, and all that was doing
was making things worse. And we can't deny that those
things that we chase they feel good in the moment, absolutely,
and that's why people become addicted to these things because
they are. We can't lie they are great short term solutions.
(01:14:10):
However we know that long term they're the opposite of solution, right,
they just become the problem. And so that that's what
I have to say, is stop chasing your losses. Start
chasing God because he's been chasing you. And I think
when you start to chase God, he'll realize. You'll realize
(01:14:32):
that he's put in you all that you need. He's
giving you all that you need. So that's that's my
concluding Comy.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
Well, you know what we don't We're gonna we're gonna
end on that that power because with you, what you
did said we could go another twenty five you perfect,
we in it perfect. Well, I just want everybody to know,
you know, go to the website, man support import the
cant you know, go to go onto the podcast is

world wide dot com and push the support button and
just support us. Because we were always trying to do
is go and to be into more more conscious. That's
how we're trying to do. We're trying to go fishing
for souls and we just need your help tap us
to go fishing. And I tell you what, doctor baby boy,
(01:15:25):
I'm gonna go and let you get off because I
know you gotta get on that and get on that
big wheel with your uh your training wheels on. I
just said, go off, let me let me let him
go ahead completely stage completely you you you right off,
