Speaker 1 (00:01):
We're partying the ground zero. We are the Craignan and
Lindael Show. On a scot Friday, it is time with
the five biggest stories of the day around the NFL.
As our training camp cover John Altitude Sports Radio is
powered by Ramo's Law, the official injury law firm partner
of Broncos Country. Our friend Alan Baka is on the
other side of the glass.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
All right, guys, First story today, JK Dobbins a lot
of confidence in his season. Sounds like he has. This
is what he had to say to nine News on
if this is going to be a comeback season for him.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Na, these ain't no comeback. You know I came back
last year. Yeah, this is This is gonna be kind
of personal for me this year because I do. I
firmly believe I'm one of the best running backs in
the NFL. I think the numbers show it whenever I
am healthy. This year, I'm coming and I'm not gonna
I don't think God will. I think I'm going to

(00:51):
be there every single game and I'm going to show
everyone that I am one of the best.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Cool I want to see it because you have a
You've been a guide so far that you've had a
hard time staying on the field thus far in your
NFL career, got banged up last year, wasn't as good
second half of the season as he was the first
half of the season. Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers, we're
willing to wave goodbye if you want to be a
guy that's one of the best backs in the entire
NFL this year. Cool, I'm all for it. Stay healthy,

(01:20):
do the thing. I'm rooting for. J K. Dobbins, I
am too.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
And you know what, look at once upon a time
they were thought, it was thought that he was one
of the best young backs in the game, pairing with
Lamar Jackson out there in Baltimore, and then again he
had the devastating knee injury.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
But I'll tell you some of what we've seen now.
It's early in camp.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
We always caution that, but he's got his burst back,
he's got good cutting ability, going low key. Could be
very excited to see what he brings. I'll tell you this,
he looks faster than Javante did a year ago coming
off of what that was probably the first four year
coming off of.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Stort knee injury.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
So this could be exciting.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah, No, he runs with a good physicality. You can
tell he knows what he's doing out there. He's decisive
with the football in his hands. I've been really impressed
with JK. Dobbins. I just I am disappointed he didn't
have more lyrics from Mama said knock you out by
a cool jay in that answer. He started, but then
he didn't commit to it. Do you think does.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
He know the song well? Or again?

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Are we to the point where so? How old is
he in his twenties?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
It is a song that came out in nineteen ninety
to your points to be fair to be, but I
know the words of songs that came out in the
sixties and seventies. Like people, people know things. Sure, don't
call it a comeback. I've been here for years. Yeah,
rocking my peers, putting suckers in fear. Anyway, go ahead, baka,
I fine, all right, guys.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
One of my favorite parts about training camp so far,
and it's been happening every day that I've been here
this week with you guys, is Malcolm Roach versus Marvin Mims.
It continues, it continues, and it's hilariously every single time.
Here's Malcolm Roach, responding to Marvin Mims.

Speaker 6 (03:00):
Y'all think I'm really worried about nineteen bro. I see
him every day's locker right by my He talked all
y'all think I talk. He really talked more than me.
But I ain't worried about Marvel. Could Marvin know he
not about to cut that ball back across the middle?
That's all I really have to say on that. And
MA look like a mosquito, bro. He need to worry

(03:22):
about that. I could lose this way. He can't change them.
Looks you feel what I'm saying. So that's all I
got to say about Mars.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Do you know how many of you guys do you
know that you really like that much?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Anyway?

Speaker 6 (03:34):
Not many?

Speaker 5 (03:35):
Not many at uh?

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah, Marvin Mims, Oklahoma guy Taylor the tape Andy, Marvin
Mims gives away roughly one hundred and ten pounds to
Malcolm Roach.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Yes he does.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
He is the mosquito in this discussion. Yeah, yeah, he
he got going at the end there.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
You know what I wanted to ask him. But we've
been there long enough. Are you the best talker on
the team?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah, that's what it.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Because he talked about in some of his answers. How
I'm from Louisiana and this is how we play football,
and they're always talking. And I've had guys tell me
the SEC dudes do more talking than any other conference,
you know.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
They said today he said the JK. Dobbins like, the
defense has been talking non stoppers camp according to Roach,
which is again is coming from Malcolm Roach. I think
the guy that talks the most. But he said defense
has been talking this whole camp. JK. Dobbins finally gave
it back to them. I think it was probably from

(04:34):
that practice the other day. What was that the Tuesday? Yeah, Monday, Tuesday.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Tuesday got this week going right.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Okay, so it was it was that day. But that's
what kind of got the thing going a little bit.
And Roache said he appreciated it. Okay, we're talking football now.
The offense is chatting back with us. So JK. Dobbins
was the guy to give it to him a little bit.
I loved listening to Malcolm Roach talking about football, talking
about his journey there today. I thought he was absolutely great,

(05:02):
fascinating guy to listen to, good football player, and he
was a guy you heard him out there today because
the refs were out there. It's always fun the practices
with the officials because the refs, like Andy, they there's
nothing borderline. If they see something borderline, they throw a
flag because and that's what the coaches want him to do,
like clean every last little thing up humanly possible, give

(05:25):
us the example, give us the explanation. Let these guys know.
And there was after one of Nix's interceptions today, Roach
turned around and there was they threw a flag on
Riley Moss. But there was all in the secondary. But
then there was a flag up front and Roach just
you could hear him clear as day. Just they've been
holding all day. Yes, very funny, so funny, good competitive

(05:50):
practice today. But man, Malcolm Roach one of the fun
broncos out there. Yeah, he and Mims. It's fun stuff
out there. Go ahead, baka I fine, all right, guys.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Big news of the day now national wise, obviously Michah
Parson's requesting a trade officially. He put out a statement
on Twitter. I actually have exclusive sound that we just
got here. This is him.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
I'm telling then this place is perfect.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
You're gonna make friends and.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Where it's the old lady from Happy Gilmour And yeah, man,
some of the lines in this statement and it's uh.
It's a manifesto that Parsons put out on Twitter today.
Some of the lines include, Yes, I wanted to be here,

(06:42):
past tense, I did everything I could to show that
I wanted to be a cowboy and wear the star
on my helmet. I wanted to play in front of
the best fans and sports to make this America's team
once again. That's an interesting statement right there. According to him,
the Cowboys are not America's team. Currently debate that they
used to the team my pops and I grew cheering
for way up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, I no longer

(07:05):
want to be here. I no longer want to be
held to close door negotiations without my agent present. I
no longer want shots taken at me for getting injured
while laying it on the line for the organization, our fans,
and my teammates. I no longer want narratives created and
spread to the media about me. I had purposely stayed
quiet in hopes of getting something done, so really, like

(07:28):
what's going on here? Is Apparently earlier this year, while
in n Abu Dabi, Micah Parsons called Jerry Jones requested
a meeting. According to Parsons, he wanted to talk to
Jones about leadership, but somehow the conversation turned into him
talking contract with me. According to Jerry Jones, when he
wants to get a big contract done, he says, it

(07:50):
happens by him talking to the player directly. That's what Ceedee,
Lamzac Martin and others have said. Parsons admitted that he
had a back and forth with Jerry Jones, who later
at the NFL Owners meeting in Palm Beach said they
came to an agreement on the length, total money and
guaranteed portion of the deal. Interesting though, Andy, since the meeting, Miles, Garrett,

(08:10):
Max Crosby, and TJ. Wattall got paid and signed extensions,
and Watt became the highest paid non QB in the
NFL at forty one million dollars per year. Thus, Michah
Parsons and his agent were like, well, then there's a
new number, there's a new threshold. Jerry Jones, according to Jerry,
was of the belief that it was already done and

(08:33):
that he couldn't get on the same page with the agent.
Thus that is why we are in this spot right
now where today Micah Parsons requests a trade away from
the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah, and soon after Ceedee Lamb tweets never fails, dog,
Just pay.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
The man what you owe him.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
No need for the extracurricular sad face. Multiple other Cowboys
teammates changed their avatar picks two pictures of Micah Parsons
in support of their teammate. So, not surprisingly, the guys
in the locker room have Micah Parsons back. Andy, What
do you think happens here?

Speaker 4 (09:10):
I don't know, man, because Micah Parsons this has kind
of been an ongoing thing. He didn't get his contract
last year when he wanted it. The big money went
to the quarterback and receiver and Dak and CD. Yeah,
and you mentioned Martin, and it just felt like it
was his turn this year. Everybody on all the national
talk shows, and by that I mean ESPN and NFL

(09:32):
networks say Jerry does this in part just because he
likes being the topic of conversation so that they can
leave the campaign.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
Blah blah blah.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Is true, and so I don't know that. I don't
think Michah.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Parson's Parsons is playing I don't. I think, I don't
know that I could see him being a man of
his word and not coming back there.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
There were there were comments that Jones has made in
which he said parsons name incorrectly. He said that Parsons
missed six games last year. He only missed four. These
are these several items that have really ticked off Micah Parsons.
Jeff Lagwold pointed it out last hour here on the show.
Parsons has one of the NFL's most powerful agents, and

(10:15):
he himself is a guy that has only done every
last little thing right since he has been a member
of the Dallas Cowboys. I think there is some legit
frustration and feeling of disrespect on the part of Micah Parsons. Now,
guess what if the Cowboys call tomorrow and say here's
forty five million dollars a year and here's one hundred

(10:36):
and thirty million dollars guaranteed, and babe, babe, it's done.

Speaker 5 (10:40):
You set the market.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Yeah, he's out, he's he's a Dallas Cowboy and it's
gonna be fine. And honestly, if I was leaning one
way or the other, that would be my lean that
that is going to happen, but there was very strong
language in that statement for Micah Parsons that was put
out on Twitter. That was some interesting, interesting stuff to say.
The Least training camp coverage on Altitude Sports Radio is

(11:03):
powered by Romo's Law, the official injury law firm partner
of Broncos Country. This is Nate Correcton and Andy Lindall.
We are talking about Broncos training camp, and we are
talking about Broncos' training camp on the day in which
Bo Nicks threw his first interception of camp. Yeah, and
we're gonna dive into it coming up next right here.

(11:24):
The offense is lagging behind the outstanding Denver defense is
it's starting to become a concern that the offense isn't
getting their punches landed. We'll talk about that coming up
here on the other side. Plus, I want to revisit
a topic from last hour that we discussed with Jeff
Legwall Dandy, and that is this, after Cortland, Sutton and

(11:45):
Evan Ingram, who's gonna catch the ball on this team,
Who's gonna be the guy that emerges. I don't think
this is a simple answer. I think there's a lot
of branches on this tree. We're gonna be talking about
the Broncos game, both against this defense and against their
upcoming seventeen opponents. That's next on the Craig, Ben and

(12:06):
Lindahl Show and Altitude Sports Radio ninety two to five,
The One, the Only when Stefani and the now defunct
No Doubt On a Scott Friday. It's Nate, Craikmanane, Linda, All,
we welcome you back. We're wrapping up what is really.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Our first full week of Broncos training camp, and boy,
it's been getting more and more interesting as we go
along out there because every week we have had the
defense continue to kind of flex its muscle. But again,
as we said earlier in the show, and I'm friendly
in this boat right now, I'm not gonna worry about
it till we maybe see an offense. And frankly, I
don't even know how much we're gonna see the offense

(12:47):
playing the preseason as it is. Anyway, I'm not gonna
worry about it till we get a little bit closer.
This is starting to feel a lot like what we
saw last year. The offense did not have a lot
of breakout moments, and we stressed out last year because
it looked like they were going to start a key quarterback,
but in this case a little less stress, Bow shown
us what he can do. I do think there's a
better offense than what we saw a year ago waiting

(13:08):
in there, because I think this offense is going to
have more options than they had a year ago, specifically
in the run game, and we're hoping to see what
they can unlock with some receivers and Nate. As we
went to break that last segment, you talked about this
with Jeff Legwald, and it's a good question. Evan Ingram
and Courtland Sutton seemed firm in their roles. We know
that Courtland Sutton continues to be a favorite target of

(13:30):
one Bow Knicks Beauregard Nicks, even though that's not his name,
and Evan Ingram being there just bo Evan Ingram being
that tight end that I think they were looking for
a little bit last year that they tried to fill
the role with with a troutman and a croll and
a bandy and all that they didn't do well.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Ingram, is that dude, right?

Speaker 1 (13:48):
So as far as being reliable, Adkins, you're right, Sorry,
forty five, I can't keep forgetting about Bandy. Has Bandy
the most not tight end receiver on the team.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
No, you're right, you're right, But look, you asked the
question who's going to be the third to catch it?
And I will throw some of the options out there
if you want to play.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
Along in the radio. You know RJ Harvey, it.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
Is clear that Bo likes to throw to the backs
and that was kind of the He didn't say RJ. Harvey,
but Jeff said, I wouldn't be surprised if it's back.
Remember Julia McLoughlin, who got to hear from today, fun
kid to talk to. He is a guy that both
threw two plenty of times last year, right yeah, was
never afraid and and McLaughlin did a good job of
taking short passes and turned him into big games. I
believe his first touchdown was a short pass or he

(14:36):
ran by everybody and got to the end zone. So
wouldn't love mind seeing a few more of those.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
RJ.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Harvey, I think is going to be an option. We'll
see about JK.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
Dobbins.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
I'll tell you what, you know what, I'll give you
a dark horse too. Marvin Mims is someone that we
talked about. I think Troy Franklin is someone that you know.
Sean Payton talked about today his growth, and I would
not count out Pat Bryant. Pat Bryant, it feels like
bo is not a afraid to look for Pap Bryant.
And even Surefield has turned some heads this week as well.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
So obviously to your point, Sutton and Ingram gonna be
one two, Well, that.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Was really your point.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
I made your point back to yes, But obviously to
my point that you made, to.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
My point that you reiterated, which was an excellent point,
one to two is gonna be Sutton in Ingram all right.
Last year on this team, Sutton had one hundred and
thirty five targets, Javonte seventy as the top running back,
seventy targets last year, fifty two receptions, Devon Valet amongst
receivers fifty five. Maybe it's because Valet has been a

(15:38):
little bit banged up, and maybe it's out of sight,
out of mind. I don't know, Andy. I think Troy
Franklin's taking a big step forward. He looks like a
legit NFL receiver right now. I think he's played. I
think he's looked really good in this camp. I think
he's made some great catches, and more than anything, he
doesn't look like the guy that the coaching staff is
always just hounding. Right now, He's just out there playing football,

(15:59):
and I think he looks good.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
He gets talked to every now and again.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
I don't think he kept his feet in bounds one time,
But it's the little things like that. They're not crushing him.
Although I guess they did the you know, Sean talked
about that that walk through speed tip drill that they
did at the end to hail Mary play, and he
did then go talk to I think it.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
Was Kroll and.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Kroll and Goshore. Were we just talk about? No, the receiver,
frank Troy Franklin, thank you? Those really well, I'm still OK. No,
I am, but I'm trying to remember. First off, I'm
trying to sit through all these answers and the people
that actually wanted to go to listen. Did we have
to sit in the heat for too long?

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Because I was trying, I wanted to make sure it
was either Franklin or Bryant, but I was pretty sure
it was Franklin. He talked to a long lie. Did
you get a parasite? From that Walmart Turkey.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
When we asked a question, we don't need everybody answering
that just wanted to answer because.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Now I got to figure out how how many of
you actually wanted to.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
Go to the concerts.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Stay with me.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
You got a thousand people answering, but.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
No secretarial work.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Late, I believe no, I no, I'm going home when
we're going home, because I've already I've already dedicated plenty
of days to this side of town. Listen, Franklin was
running deep, Kroll was coming underneath, and Sean did have
to talk to him about don't bunch your routes.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Yeah, right at the end of that exercise.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
But I agree Franklin has been Franklin looks like a
different player than a year ago. My question to you is,
will we ever see a Franklin Mims combo? I think
so because it feels like Sean sees them in the
same route concepts in his head. I don't I disagree
with that.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
I think that Franklin is more of of an outside,
split end type of dude, whereas Mims is going to
be like like I noticed Mims line up the slot
numerous times there today. Hell, at one point. I saw
a running back split wide today. That was kind of fun.
Probably gonna get a Patrick smythe text for talking about

(17:57):
all this right now, but it was just it was like, wow,
that that looks different, but it was creative stuff out there.
I the Marvin Mims thing, and it's kind of a thing,
right Andy, Like it's a thing I can't figure out
because quite honestly, if you want to talk about a
joker that can go all over the field and play
and threat be a threat for multiple positions, he's kind

(18:18):
of your joke. It's him, right like it is him.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
He profiles to me as a joker type, but we
never hear about him in the joker role.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
And yet when you see the way that he was
used over the last seven eight games last year, that's
kind of what it was. He was just lined up
all over the formation, sometimes in the backfield, sometimes in
the slots, sometimes split wide, like he was getting used
in all of these different ways. Like I could see Mims,
And I don't think we're gonna see a world where
Marvin Mims is on the field for like fifty plus
offensive snaps or anything like that, but I could see

(18:48):
a world where he's on the field for twenty five
thirty plus offensive snaps, which would be a growth over
what he did a year ago. And then at that
point it's like you can start to disguise some of
this stuff. You can use some of his motion stuff
and not make him featured because obviously that's gonna be
on film now, Like opposing defensive coordinators are knowing that's
what the Broncos are going to want to do. It
could perhaps open other things up out on the field

(19:10):
and Bonnicks can take advantage of that. But to me,
like I would like to see an offense where Marvin
Mims is third in targets this year, I don't think
that's gonna be the case. Quite honestly, I think he's
fifth at best. And again, this is all things equal,
and everybody's staying healthy right now. My guess is it
is gonna be some combination of Courtland, Sutton, Evan Ingram.

(19:32):
Then it's gonna be I think it's gonna be Troy
Franklin and.

Speaker 5 (19:36):
A back see. I think it's gonna be r J.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Harvey. Okay, it is the.

Speaker 5 (19:40):
Reason I don't hate your Troy Franklin pick.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
I just feel like this offense is we're seeing it
still set up for the dump off pass. Yeah, and
almost use that sometimes in place of your running game, right,
And I would not be shocked at the back feasts
off being the receiving option. So some combination of back
and or Franklin at three four and then probably Mims
at five.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
In terms of targets. So you see what I guess
I do think is interesting. Is you think that Franklin
moves ahead of Mims.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
I'm quite he moves ahead of Ale Well the Valley
things interesting. You're right, Nate Valay is a big body,
prototypical type of receiver for this camp, and yet he's
had a couple of nice moments.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Without a doubt.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
I'm telling you, I see more consistent throws and catches
to Pat Bryan and Sherfield than I do to Valey reck.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Right, right, And and in many ways, like I I
look at Devon Valley and I kind of tend to
think of him as a guy that like moved into
the Tim Patrick role on an offense that needed somebody
to do the Tim Patrick role. Yes, and Tim Patrick

(20:51):
was a really good player and he got open and
he made plays, But also like Tim Patrick was not
what I would necessarily call the NFL's most dynamic wide
receiver or anything like that. The Broncos just have more
speed now. There's just more options when it comes to
speed out on the field. I think Devon Valley still
has a role on this team. I think he's going
to be a valuable player for the Broncos, and I

(21:12):
think he's going to probably catch again, all things equal,
in this offense, doing well forty plus balls this year, probably,
But I think that knocks him down a few pegs
on what they are as an offense. I think that
Devon Valley did so much as a rookie because he
came into the league as a high floor player. But
also I think other guys are going to catch up

(21:33):
and surpass him this year.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Your second statement right there is what's making me kind
of wonder. I don't just I think in my mind
right now, Devon Valley.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Is still on this team, oh, without a doubt.

Speaker 5 (21:45):
But this is still a seventh round pick.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Yeah, And to your point, when you're a seventh round
pick and an older seventh round pack, which he is,
he's twenty seven and.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
He's been banged up a lot of this I mean,
you know, at some point you do have some intriguing
receiver options.

Speaker 5 (22:00):
Even though we liked Von Valley.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
I mean, look right now, what we could see if
the things don't change, it could just change from him
being on the roster to start the year to being
on the practice squad.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Yeah. Yeah, I think that that's probably going to be
the case. I think this pass catching group is better. Again,
Like it's so weird to say because they're generally losing,
especially today, they're generally losing out there against Denver Secondary.
But also it's it's an unbelievable group. It's just it's

(22:34):
just a bad matchup. I think this Broncos receiving group
is a lot better than what it was a season ago.
And I think I think a part of that is
comes from the natural progression of young players getting better.
That's that's kind of what I'm looking for this year.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
I think it is better. I still would love to
see the truly great player among it.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
I don't think they have it, and they have a lot.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Of they have a lot of the same if you will,
a lot of good noble you know, like like again,
to me, Courtland Sutton is clearly their best receiver.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yeah, but the other guy's skill sets aren't too far off, right,
But is Courtland Sutton going to be an All Pro now?

Speaker 5 (23:09):
Right?

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Good player? But no, but we'll see, like I said,
a lot of good. No. Great, that's what I see
out of that pass catching group right now, which you
can get by with that. That's okay. Like the Broncos,
they've they have spent their money on the defensive side
of the ball, and based on what I'm seeing, they're
getting what they're paying for. Bow Knicks through his first
interception of camp today, Andy on an RPO through it

(23:33):
directly to Talanella Hufonga, who made a pretty phenomenal play.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
Sean broke it down pretty well if you want to
play that answer. I know how long it ultimately ended
up being, but he talked about how that was a
that was a reaction in the box off like an
eight yard I mean, he basically was just beyond his
defensive line and if you can imagine it in a
linebacker spot, Yeah, and within eight yards jumped up and
snagged that thing out of the air.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Let's listen to Sean Payton describe that play. Oh in
a moment when we have it available for you. Sean
Payton discussing bo Nix's first interception of camp that was
picked off, as Andy said, right behind the line of
scrimmage by tallanea who fung ga. Let's go.

Speaker 7 (24:20):
Now the play the interception was. It was an RPO
and if you really looked at his distance from the throw,
I'll bet it was like eight yards and so to
be able to go up and catch that with a
crowded look in front of him, it was I'm anxious
to see it on film. I saw it from behind
the line of scrimmage. You know. The one thing over

(24:42):
the years, if if, if, if I asked you to
give us the best safeties that are in the Hall
of Fame, the traits are always instincts and football smarts.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Summer fact. Well that's what we got. The answer.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Yeah, we got the He described the play and he
talked about that'll be one on film and just make
you go wow. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Now the one that you talked about with Jeff Flagwall,
the interception we're referring to now, it was kind of
tough to figure out what was a real pick and
what wasn't because some defensive flags did go down, Yes,
particularly to the one that he talked about the bad decision.

Speaker 5 (25:18):
What I don't like. What I loved how Sean said.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
It was the interception and I think there was technically
a defensive penalty on this one, but nonetheless he was
trying to get Courtland Sutton, who was not interfered with,
and he threw it to the quote blind spot, right,
that's the decision you want to get out of this.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Sir Tan made the play. There was another one, and
I think there was a pre snat penalty, but bo
was rolling right and threw back across his body and
that one was pretty easily picked off by the defense.
He had the interception on the hail Mary at the
end of practice, but Buzz throwing a single pick the
entire camp and then today defense certainly caught up. I
think there was some frustration on the part of bow

(25:58):
Knicks today. I kind of got that impression of I'm
not gonna call it a loss of composure. And the
good thing about Nicks is the guy. Look. His rookie
season wasn't flawless. He made his mistakes, but he generally
he didn't compound them. He generally could come back and
play well after a mistake, and so not the worst
thing in the world. Look, he's throwing interceptions in training camp.

(26:20):
Guess what. The Broncos are still O and O. They
didn't lose a single game as a result of that
having happened. But it does kind of get to the
point and Andy, like we we've I don't know if
we've even just danced around this topic so far this week,
but like, at what point did they put the Broncos
number one offense against the Broncos number two defense and
let him move the ball a little bit?

Speaker 4 (26:40):
Yeah, it's got to be coming pretty soon now, I think,
you know, probably not until after the San Francisco game
and all those festivities get going next week.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
I mean, maybe I'll be wrong about that, but.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
And maybe he'll go out and play great against San
Francisco's defense in the inner squad. Let me ask you this, though,
I the only thing I thought bo so Bo had
a bad day. The whole offense had a bad day.

Speaker 5 (27:05):
But I also thought they had a little something going
in the two minute drill.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
Yeah, and then it bogged down at the end, but
Bo was able to use the classic the nickel the dime.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
He again is doing a great job.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
Of just kind of scooting out of the pocket, finding
someone over the middle, picking up the ten yards.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
He needs to extend the drive. If you can do
that in the regular season, you've got something.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
And then I don't know, the last couple of plays
of their two minute drill just fell apart and didn't
go the way they wanted to. And then the final
play of the two minute drill, our guy Pat Bryant
slipped as stid him through the ball.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
It was a pick and Sean Payton seen enough, all right,
let me hit you with a couple of NBA notes here.
Training Camp coverage, of course, is powered by Ramos Law,
the official injury law firm partner of Broncos Country. So Andy,
we discussed the tweet or Instagram post, I suppose more
specifically earlier in the week from Misko Rusnandava, the agent

(28:01):
of Nikol Jokich. He was sitting on a yacht in
San Trope, France, on the Mediterranean and the photo who's
a photo as he sat between lebron James and Maverick Carter,
James agent, and the tease of the caption was the
summer of twenty twenty five is the perfect time to
make big plans for the fall of twenty twenty six. Oh,

(28:25):
you mean when Lebron is going to be an unrestricted
free agent and could potentially come and sign in Denver
to play with Nikole Jokic. Well, I don't think that's
what they were talking about. Andy. Oh no, you're already
popping the blue got more details a high profile meeting
last week in France. This, according to The Guardian, between Lebron,

(28:45):
Maverick Carter and Nikol Jokich's agent, Misko Roznovitch, was about
plans for a new five billion dollar international basketball league.
According to a report from Front Office Sports, the proposed league,
spearheaded by Maverick Carter, would feature six men's and six
women's teams that travel together to eight global cities and
a touring format inspired by liv golf in Formula one.

(29:09):
The league aims to offer players equity stakes, something NBA
rules currently prohibit for active athletes. Rosnanovich, a powerful figure
in European basketball, posted a photo of the trio together
on a boat. Carter began pitching the league earlier this year,
with Bloomberg reporting in January that he is seeking to
raise five billion dollars in funding. Backers already include the

(29:31):
Singapore government, Saudio Arabia's public investment fund sc Holdings UBS,
and investors such as Skype co founder Jeff Prentiss and
former Facebook executive Grady Burnnett. So really, what this sounds like, Andy,
is like, hey, Misco, you own a team in Serbia,
yours tied into anybody in the world in European basketball,

(29:53):
and you represent the best European player in the world,
in quite frankly the best player in the world. Yeah,
is this just to create a league so Lebron's kid
is someplace to go and the Laker career ends and
he can star and make some more money, so Bronni
can go play in Singapore. Good question. I mean, that's

(30:14):
a great question, and he great and fair question from you.
Excellent point right there.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
Who knows, maybe Bronni, maybe Lebron joins him for a
season to get the league.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Up and run. That's what he could be doing in
the fall of twenty twenty six to get people in
Saudi Arabia excited about this new basketball league. A less
fun story regarding European basketball, former NBA forward Danilo Gallinari
was recently enjoying a vacation in Puerto Rico when his wife,
Eleonara Boy was attacked by a shark. Yeah, this is

(30:51):
crazy Gallinari and Boy, Why I hope I'm saying her
name right. It's spelled b O, I like big Boy
from Outcat.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
I don't think any of us are gonna question your pronunciation.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
I can't say I've ever even seen it in print.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
They were at a beach in Puerto Rico's Carolina resort
when this shark attack occurred. As if the thought of
a shark attack wasn't scary enough, Gallinari's wife revealed she's
pregnant with her third child. A little bit of good news,
Andy child is doing fine. It'll be Gallinari and Ailenara's

(31:26):
third child. She posted on Instagram, quote, it was the
worst day of my life. Maybe my grandmother Nella was
right when she said on the seas, you traders. I
never thought that's a good comment from an Italian grandmother.
Right there, Streganona. I never thought I could get attacked
by a shark, and I was near the shore on
a super crowded beach. Thankfully, me and my baby are fine.

(31:48):
I was rushed to the rescue and the surgery to
fix my poor Bruce leg went well, now I just
have to recover from the great scare and try to
forgive the great friend who betrayed me. Shark will be
hearing from my legals soon. Close quote. So again, she
wasn't too deep, right, Yeah, this couldn't have been.

Speaker 5 (32:07):
Look, I don't maybe you were.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
Maybe there's someone out there that was pregnant and was
able to swim with the best of them, But to me,
it just doesn't feel like if you're real pregnant, you
want to go real swim.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
I don't even think she saw the shark because honestly,
like according to reports, they haven't even confirmed it was
a shark, and it just cruised something bitter.

Speaker 5 (32:29):
There's a lot of stuff in the ocean, sure is.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
I told you when my fell in the ocean paddle
boarding a couple of weeks ago that two minutes later
did we see these like big yellowfin looking tuna type
things start jumping.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
I was like, you know, don't mess with those guys.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
Hey, listen, I'm not sure.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
I was like, okay, is something going to come eat those?
Maybe we just need to clear the area. By the way,
Andy one more jokic note starting August the twenty seventh
euro Basket twenty twenty five, and that Serbia Ross does
include active NBA players. Bogged on Bogdanovich, Nikola Jovich, Nicola Topich,

(33:06):
Tristan Vukcevich, and Nikola Jokic. So yep, Joker and my
guys team Serbia looking a way in the euro Basket
twenty twenty five. Let's do this fallas let sue it.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
This is just how he gets warmed up for the
for the for the season, very much.

Speaker 7 (33:23):
So.

Speaker 5 (33:24):
Yeah, he takes all this off. He just goes and
plays and that's it gets him in shape.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Has been dumping Champagne on his on his guys winning
horse races. Hey go hoop for a couple of weeks.
Get ready for camp. Joker playing in euro Basket. Can't wait.
Craig Ben and Lindahl quick break before we get out
of here. On a Friday afternoon, quick look back on
the MLB trade deadline? How did the Rockies really do U? Plus,

(33:52):
let's be honest, this kind of sucks for one particular Rocky.
We'll tell you about that coming up next on Altitude
Sports Radio ninety two to five. A delightful sca Friday.
It wasn't a ska music. It gonna make your life better.
It's Craig been a Lindahl Altitude Sports Radio ninety two
five lot going on today. We've been talking Broncos training
camp all day long. Dra Greenlaw banged up. Ke Robinson's

(34:17):
got a bone bruise. Green Law scans are good. They're
just gonna be cautious with it. I think right now.
The idea is andy after most of an offseason missed
for Drake Greenlaw and then another leg injury popping up
early on, They're just gonna use extreme caution and try
and get him to the regular season as healthy as

(34:38):
they possibly can, which.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
They absolutely should.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
There's no need. I mean again, we saw enough of
what that person. You know, he knows what he's doing.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
Yeah, he rules, He's He's the guy you want to
have right there.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
That's all there is to it.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
He brings a physical nature to this thing. He and
new Funger are gonna be guys. Gosh if they stay healthy.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
If you haven't had a chance to get out to
Broncos training camp, and I know it's limited tickets and
it's a little tougher to get out there, this year
because of the construction and everything else. Andy, I don't
think you'll disagree with me. Drake green Law and Tallanella Hufanga.
So far they're living up to the to the billing.
They're those guys are gonna kick some ass.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
It looks like they've had another great year. Yeah, I'm
sure there's one I'm missing. The Peyton and Peyton combo.
Have not really had that really stinker free agent.

Speaker 5 (35:19):
Signing, have they.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Randy Gregor now Gregory was before.

Speaker 5 (35:23):
Yeah, that was that was a hacket.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Yeah, you're right, you're right. Uh, there's I'm sure if
we really thought long and hard. The Josh Reynolds, Josh Well,
the guy was playing a role until whatever went down
at the Strip clubs.

Speaker 5 (35:40):
So yes, you're right.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Yeah, by definition it was and it's been not because
he didn't fit in. They also didn't pay him the
way that they like he was.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
He was not a Randy Gregor.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
It was a weird offseason last year where they were
just like they were bargain shopping and they did great
getting a Brandon Jones as they did last year. But also, yeah,
like Josh Reynolds was, he was the whiff for last
year you know, no big deal. And guess what really
like by the time it's all said and done, Andy,
whether it's whether it's Ingram Ufonga Greenlaw, I mean, the
likelihood of all three of those dudes, which were their

(36:13):
three high profile free agency signings, the likelihood that all
three of them stay fully healthy and play at the
top of the game all year long is low, just
because they're veteran NFL players and they are all guys
that have an injury history. I'll say the same thing
about JK. Dobbins. I'll put him in that conversation as well,
like one of those four guys, and I'd say they're
the four high profile editions this offseason. One of them

(36:37):
is going to be a stinker. Yeah, it's interesting.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
We just got a text saying McGlinchey and remember the
beginning of the show, and I don't expect you to listen.

Speaker 5 (36:44):
To the whole three hours.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
I don't think he's been bad.

Speaker 5 (36:45):
He's been good.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
He's been a starter. Coach Sandford thinks he's been a
big part of the culture rebuild.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Yeah, so you know, look, has he been it was
still an excellent offensive where last year? Has he been
a Pro Bowl or no, but guys, it's this is
what free agency agency is. You overpay for for veterans
that guys previous resume very much so, and you're paying
for guys that are established NFL players. That's why you
want them on your team because they they fill in

(37:12):
gaps that you can't always necessarily fill in with the draft.
So I don't I don't think mcglinchy's a whiff at all.
But you got some trade deadline stuff you want to
tell me about. So, uh, Rocky's trade deadline is coming gone.
Ryan McMahon Jake Bird are now on the Yankees.

Speaker 5 (37:28):
Yanks make you make you buy in.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Tyler Ley is an Atlanta Brave Rock Regio is here
Old Rock uh plus plus they is it r O
C K or R O C R O C R
O C that's how you do run Yeah Rock Regio three. Uh. Look,
they got three other pictures that are top thirty prospects
from the systems uh that they are from, specifically the
Yankee system. So nice job on the part of the Rockies.

(37:54):
I want to point out one day, and first off,
did they do enough? God know, God know when you
see what teams like Minnesota like what Arizona did you
can always sell more. A part of the problem is,
and I'll get to this here in just a moment, Andy,
is that in order to sell, you have to find
somebody that wants to buy, and not that many people

(38:15):
want to buy what the Rockies are selling. Let me
give you a perfect example of this. Harmon Marquez, who
is on the il currently with biceps inflammation. He had
been pitching very well in June. It was looking as though, oh,
there's good hope to be able to get him, move
him before he becomes an unrestricted free agent and walks
away for nothing. And in that situation for Harmon Marquez,

(38:38):
he could go to a better club, he could do
more to establish his value before he becomes a free
agent this upcoming offseason and potentially get himself paid. Instead,
he's gonna get be stuck on the Colorado Rockies and
he's overcoming injury, so he doesn't get to go be
a rental starter somewhere. That sucks for Harmond Marquez, it
really does, and it sucks for the Rockies, which it

(38:59):
would have been nice if they would have been able
to move him and hopefully get again decent prospects in return.
I'm happy the Rockies did something. They get credit for
having done something. I'll give them like a bus to
a c for what they did at the deadline. They
didn't do enough, but in the very least, they showed

(39:21):
an awareness that there is a trademarket in baseball and
they should probably try.

Speaker 4 (39:25):
Now, you're right, I mean, I guess we can't ask
for everything at once. Baby steps were taken. But again,
if you would have moved some slightly high profile names,
I would have been curious, could you have gotten maybe
back a little bit better return, because quite honestly, Nate,
and it's so tough to tell, and you would know this,
you know, we hear this all the time.

Speaker 5 (39:41):
And again we got Tyler man on.

Speaker 4 (39:43):
Like the most high profile guy they moved was Ryan McMahon.
I'm not even sure really what you got from. You
may get a couple of bullpen arms eventually.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Right right, so, which you do need bullpen arm, you do.
But but again, this is what we keep harping on it.

Speaker 4 (39:57):
Just done this with some guys years ago, you would
have had much better prospects.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
I just laugh at the idea of like you can't
move vad Nick and Halverson. Why right, what, Oh, so
they can't be around to help you maybe lose one
hundred and five games next year.

Speaker 5 (40:13):
They're bullpen pitchers. You go through those things like tires.

Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah, just move them, my god. Anyway, they didn't. It's
fine Rocks Pirates tonight. That's one little preview of the
weekend preview. Oh you knew, because we have got sports
this weekend. Andy, Let's start with the Rockies. Antonio Senstela

(40:37):
Andrew Heeny your matchup tonight out of Courtsefield as the
Bucos come to town for the first of three. Of course,
the headliner this weekend afternoon affair over a twentieth and
like one ten tomorrow, Austin Gomber. Get out and watch
Austin Gomber take on Paul Schemes. That's why you want

(40:57):
to go to court talking to himself again, probably Gobber
and Paul Skeins tomorrow afternoon. So go watch Paul Skins
mow down the Rockies for five or six innings and
then watch the Pirates bullpen blow it after that. Bradley Blaylock,
by the way, is pitch well of late. He will
pitch coming up on Sunday at one ten in the afternoon.
But it'll be the Rockies and the Jolly Roger this

(41:19):
weekend out at Course Field. So if you're at Pittsburgh
Native go root on your Pirates this weekend as they
take on the Rockies, Andy p l l L Lacrosse
Lacrosse League. It's gonna be out of Peter Barton Lacrosse
Stadium this weekend. One of the Outlaws plays.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
Okay, the Outlaws play in a half hour six thirty
to ninety. Get this whole thing off, and then there's
a second game at eight thirty. I believe it's Maryland,
and I can't remember who they're playing. But then the
big game of the weekend to the point where actually
number Channel seven ABC picked up the Outlaws against the
New York Atlas eleven am tomorrow. That game goes on

(42:00):
both the National TV and at Barton. And then there's
another six to thirty game tomorrow Night two.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
Should be a lot of fun. The Denver Outlaws having.

Speaker 4 (42:08):
A fantastic season, catch their only appearance in Denver.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
Rapids take on Tyjuana Sunday at seven thirty. You watch
that game on Apple TV Formula one. The Hungarian Grand
pre practices. We'll be happying this weekend, Andy Wnba Fever
and Wings in action right now, Sparks and Storm a
little bit later tonight. Cameron Brink is back with the Sparks.

(42:34):
That's certainly good to see. And we've got the NFL
Hall of Fame weekend, so yeah, all that ceremony going on.
I believe tomorrow we'll see all the speeches, all that
kind of stuff. So there's always good stories that come
out of that. Enjoy it. That's gonna do it for
the Craigman and Lindahl Show here this afternoon. Thanks again
to Jeff Lagwall, Thanks again to Mike Sanford, Thanks to

(42:54):
all of you. Alan Baka or I suppose today Alan
bah Scot on the board today on a scot Friday, Pacha,
well done, my friend. For Andy Lindall, I am Nate Krekman.
We'll talk to you next week. Peace,
