Peygamber’e, “İsrâiloğulları Mısır’a niçin gittiler?” şeklindeki sorusuna cevap olarak veya Müslümanların Resûlullah’tan bir kıssa anlatmasını istemeleri üzerine indiği rivayet edilmiştir.
