Nessa semana, conversamos com Samuel Araújo, que é doutorando em demografia pela UFMG, pesquisa sobre a saúde da população LGBT e ativista no coletivo #VoteLGBT. Samuel foi um dos pesquisadores responsáveis pelo Diagnóstico LGBT+ na Pandemia, pesquisa do #VoteLGBT que vem desde o ano passado produzindo dados sobre os impactos da pandemia de COVID-19 na população LGBT+. Em 2020, a pesquisa apontou que a piora da saúde mental, o afastamento da rede de apoio e a falta de fonte de renda foram os principais impactos para essa população. Essa nova rodada, infelizmente, deixa claro que o prolongamento da pandemia provoca um aprofundamento da vulnerabilidade nesses eixos, que dificilmente se resolverá com o controle da doença.
