Speaker 2 (02:24):
Welcome to the Lee thirty six podcasts. I'm Littleroy Butler,
Gary Ellerson, Garrett, congratulations to the Bears. I got to
graduate congratulate them. They gotta makeshift coaching staff. I couldn't

(02:49):
even point out the head coach who you know?

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Where he was on.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
The field, way he was walking. I didn't know what,
but something about it. There was a couple areas they
were prepared. Special teams just won.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
But after.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Matt la Floyd beating him for eleventh straight, didn't winning
this game. I had to congratulate though.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, I'm not congratulating. And here's why, because I'm mad
le Roy. We gave the two things. We gave it
to them. I'm looking for the Packers to come in
and play. Well. You start the game off kick off return, holding,
penalty back yard. I didn't even see it.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I'll sit next to Garrett, which I told America I
would not do again. But but there's an Astridge. He
had miles with his.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Grands brought my son, Yes.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
South Baby City.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
So I said, Garrett, what happened? What did you tell me?
Hold right out the game, right off the jump, right
off the jump. And then a series of things happened
after that, then you had the punt return loro. Come on, man,
that's embarrassing. The punt return to me is embarrassing because

(04:17):
that means now we are we not listening. We're taking
everything for granted. We thought we were gonna go in there
just beat them. You don't get well, they got food,
but you just don't get food like that when you're
doing your job. Are you Are they too comfortable? Something's
not right there to me? Will you get food like that?

(04:39):
Break it down?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Form?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Were you used to Were you a flyer.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Going down?

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Or you are like a r Yeah? I was on
the right side of the line, right, okay, yeah, okay, yeah,
So now I went fast enough to put all the
corner back out there, the flyer. Can I tell you
my my flee my flying story real quick? Take your time.
We play he playing the Cowboys. I think our first
game was the Cowboys preseason when they when they had

(05:05):
the roof, the hole in the roof, Yes, that on Texas. Yeah,
and Kenny Steel was a flyer.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Oh boycuz love Kenny still.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
They had two of them jokers. Hold that joker up
right there. He got away. He ran all the way
out of bounds. They jumped on that joker while he
was out of bounds. Morgan him on our sideline. Can't
do that no more, got up, read out of bounds,
got back in, and then the others you came over
and blindsided and we all seen it. Right now, we

(05:39):
can do He come back to the hole. He goes,
who my backup is? What's the southern South? That was?
That was his welcome to the NFL moment? Who back
up here?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
What's what do you get?

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Who my back up? That's what you get? Kennedy suing
after the whistle, NFL moment? Man did they that joker?

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Man?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Like never before? First preseason game anyway, say this to
say that? So you was on the end, yes, in
mail line of scrimmage.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
So okay, I was a flyer in practice and you
go out wide.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
So I'm in the special team meeting and I'm thinking
it's two guys blocking me.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yes, two guys blocking you? Right, I don't do that?
Or he made peel off. Then he comes down inside
where I'm at, right.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Right, So he heard the thing about Leroy Buck. I
know what I'm good at and i know where I'm
terrible at. Coach, I couldn't even get down.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
It's tough.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I did it once.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
It's tough. That's a tough job. That fly job, well
back when we played that flying job was bad.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Lindy didn't have a whistle, Lindy and arrest. That was
my guy, liroyd uh get out. Yeah you're done, Thank you, coach.
Everybody's laughing. And the guy that put out there was
a real monster. Okay, split them do That's who needs
to be playing. I know my limits. But here's the thing,

(07:17):
and I was going to ask you the same. My
my special sting coach playing and being a part of
it was I'm taught to things. I played it man,
when the boss you hear the thud, I'm playing the man.
On playing the ball, yeah, on playing both.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
For literal, we used to get a call right right, right,
middle middle middle, right right middle middle, left, Yes, you
used to get a call. Or we were directional kick.
Oh we directional kid. So you come in, we're going right,
we know where we're going. I don't know how that happens.
How do you kick it? So? And we're not privy
to that information, right, But.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Some things you can like to see and guess education or.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Or you're you're saying, we go in. Was that DJ
Moore who was back dys So we're not okay, we're
not kicking the DJ more who saw it first? It
should be on the left side. But who saw it first?
I don't know. You tell me Jared Jaron saw it
for it first, Jared Ellen. So fine, kick it away
from DJ Moore. I'm good with right, fine, people, Thank you,

(08:23):
thank you. What about when San Francisco we knew, we knew,
I wouldn't have kicked it. I wouldn't kicked it too.
But see, that's where the coaching come in.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
At Beasacia, you're not dealing with grown men, need some babies, right,
unnest team in the league, and you got more guys
hurt who are young, right, you got to coach them,
over coach them during the week, and then the game.
It's the game, right, it's on the job training. That's

(08:59):
the difference in game. So when that happened, they got
a wall set up. When do you see the coaches copying.
It's almost as if the punter told the bear, hey,
I'm gonna kick it over there to your guy, right,
he gonna peel off and catch it and score.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Right. Well, we are a sports book. We are sports
Oh yeah, by the way, welcome into Leave Thursday podcast.
Lee already said that. But we'll lie right here. Potterwater
Casino and Hotel there are our new sponsors. We'll be
doing our show here for the rest of the year
and hopefully in years to come. So we're right here
in the sports book at pays big all the time.

(09:38):
So come on down here. And but the food that
we're talking enough about the food.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Do the food food fight you cut, But I ain't
coming there for the food.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
What you coming for?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Get paid?

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Okay, pays big? Damn right, Yeah, it makes it jeff right.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Were trying to get some damn hots? What some hots
to make another brute for the two.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Zala.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
I ain't come here to eat, but just think y'all
do want to make it a date? Honey, I'll be back.
I'm going to hit these slots.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
They got a hotel now too. You just you, I
ain't quick.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
I ain't here long enough to come here because yeah
you here on, I ain't here long enough.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
That could be one to be here all weekends. Hey man,
I'm trying to down and go home.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yeah, but if you're coming from out of town. You
ain't not go to Vegas. Don't even fly over stop here.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
First right here, Yes to Hotel Draft with the sports
book live. We're doing that show right here now back
to the park return Leroy. We don't know the inner
workings of that. We're just saying this is how we
did it when we played. It could be different. It

(10:52):
could be different, I mean.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
But I'm that different And then don't do that no more?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Right, Well, everybody need to be on the same page.
We're kicking the right? Are we kicking it left? Is middle?
That that should be specified in HUD for.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
You can conspiracy there. What if Daniel Willing on his
own said, oh, I see.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
That could happen d J Moore over there, So I'm
just gonna kick it out of bounds because I don't
see nobody over there could do that? What just but
what you got to know and let him catch it
at everybody know at the twenty you know.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
The offense is inept, right, don't help them.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
See this is badly bro we're leading with special teams.
But that's okay.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Well, Brandon mcmans want a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Not Now, let's get it real quick, right, real quick.
I cut my teeth. Only way I made the package.
I had to play special teams, so I played on
so I know, maybe a little Rob Davis, my guy
plays special teams for years and years. Yeah, it's still
making money, still getting paid. Uh when we go out

(12:01):
to warm up the kickers because our kickoff return so
I always had to go out with the kicker.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
I'm still inside Mario Early.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
I had to go out with kickers. I had to
kickoff returns. I don't know, ready to win, blowing this,
that and the other. Normally, normally that time out that
they took, that really didn't have to be a discussion normally.
I mean, you called time out whatever you want, but
I think it ended up hurting them in the end.
Basasia and uh McManus. First thing when they go in

(12:31):
or everybody come out, Beasadia the Mans go to the
head coach. Coach North end zone, I'm good at about
fifty seven. South end zone got a little bit of win.
I'm good at about fifty The grass hup. It shouldn't
have been no real discussion whether he was good or that.
We don't know that we were talking about. I'm speculating,

(12:52):
but all that that's why you go out early, to
do all that work, to know how far you feel
go kick an can cat where it's the sweet spot,
where it winning at? Where is it blowing here or there?
If I got a squib it, what side you feel
good about squibbing on? All that stuff goes into special
team play, and it to me is just when you

(13:15):
start breaking down on special teams, that means you're gonna
start breaking down somewhere else offense and defense. And that
I felt like that's what happened. I mean, you look
at coach Matt Lafloyd said he had I screwed up.
I should not have call it time out. I love
the accountability. So that's why I'm saying, le Roy, they

(13:36):
gave it away. They they gave They gave that game away.
But if our coaches are not on board, we're not
on board, how did we expect to win that game?
To me, that game not necessarily was a big game,
but you had something to play for you. You're the
gonna go if you won and Washington lost, right, you're
gonna go to the Rams is washing one, which they

(13:58):
end up winning. Anyway, You're gonna go to Fear. So
you had a little something to play for. It just
felt like to me, they want all all all together
there from day one, from kickoff, from the holding piling
on end, it was a struggle.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Tight another conspiracy. Come on, It's just seemed like to me,
there's too many cooks in the kitchen, because I'm the
executive chef.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
You know what, right, you might be right, You might
be right on that. But now I was all for
who's the head coach they brought in? That was head coach.
I was all for that. Had seen him, Yeah, I
was all for that. Then just last week we see
Luke Gatsi walking the door. But before that you had

(14:53):
already said too many cooks in the kitchen. When they
hired a solid, that was your first thing, and I
was all for that. But when you said that, though
you thought he was gonna be on the defensive side,
but he's not. He's on the offensive side. Now, Luke
Gatsky he coming in. I think he's on the defensive side.
So you got defensive guy helping out the offensive coach,

(15:13):
and you got an offensive guy helping out the defensive coach.
That don't make sense to you? Is that the smartest
guy in the room. You invented. That's praise. I don't
know why they won't get credit for it.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Fine, Oh, Jennifer invented that.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Fine, that don't make sense to you.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Here's the thing, you know how your grandmother says too much?
Like right, Yeah, let's break it down like this. Who's
the chef in Detroit?

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Ain't but one shall? I don't even know if he
got a suit shell? No, I don't even think he
got a sushell. They don't play Cavil running the show,
all of it. I made it, all of it.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
I mean, who the chef in Kansas City?

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Any red?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Who's the chef in Pittsburgh? Baltimore's?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
But we know who the chef is in Green Bay? Do?

Speaker 2 (16:13):
But here's the thing. But I need the chef to
know who the chef is. I made this decision. You
take all the information, You're like a president, you have
a cabinet. Give me information. I'm gonna make the decision
and we roll in with it. That's what you're thinking about,
the time out and the seconds and all that.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Fine.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Uh, here's where I get in trouble with this too.
Sometimes being a nice guy you can make not get
what you deserve. And sometimes it's a slow grind.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Can you respect people's knowledge? Respect your knowledge? First, Matt,
don't know why we're gonna win. If you take us.
You can have all the guys telling you, giving you advice.
I'm doing it this way, but and you okay with
the second guesting in Monday and Mark Monday morning quarterback.

(17:16):
I can deal with that. That's what the head job's
supposed to deal with. Very few coaches do what he does.
Say it was my fault. Most of the coaches they
are in North, the head coach fault. So one need
to know because I'm gonna tell you something. When Campbell
lost that game in San Francisco, I went back and
looked at his press conference after they pretty much blew it.

(17:38):
Because you're up ten on into the fourth, I ain't
changing nothing.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
This is how we win.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
It's how we win, and that's why they got the
number one seed overall. If you can't beat Minnesota and Detroit,
it's gonna be tough. And think about it, Carbrooks away
from blocking a field goal, you could have got swept.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Who was the North? Yeah, yeah, you would.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
You could have Jake when you be putting these bills
and stuff together will you be putting all your formulas together?
You say, Jeff and Jacobs saying.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Do you know who? It is?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
The same thing insane.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Because you know what we got. We got Jake, Jeff
and Jack who's don't worry about it. Come on, who
is Jeff?

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Rut? But when you back there doing your formula and
all this right, you by yourself and say, Jake does
come in? You do the hops and all that. Jake
do it, thank you, but just give me a suggestion.
But when the door closes on you, right it does,
You're right if it don't taste right, Hey, man, I need.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
I've changed recipes, saying all the mix is going to
be right? Like you get suggestions, it's like are you
think about it? And then you think about your palette
and your flavor profiles and like this work or the
swamp man?

Speaker 2 (18:59):
This got small. I don't care none of it. The
girl said he wasn't. That's not true, girl. This man
smart put the palette in there.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
What this can is all about? Man good.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
So I'm just saying God made us good at something,
made everybody good at something. He didn't exclude nobody. I'm
not getting in somebody else's lane. I put my blank on,
but I'm not going over there because what Mario doing
right now, I won't any attempt. No, I'm not mad
at that. I'm not. So we give him suggestions. At

(19:33):
the end of the day, he's pushing them button.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
Yeah, so he the boss right now.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
But when it's time to implement the game plan.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Because again, when you got.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
The youngest team in the league.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
That Snoop Dogg said you can't miss, you got to coach.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Oh man, how can I say this?

Speaker 1 (19:57):
You got to coach.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Every game like it's the super Bowl because you got
the youngest team.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
You almost got to over coach. Yes, and I hate coaches,
but you almost got an over coach. You can't get comfortable.
You gotta be a helicopter. And it felt like in
that game they got comfortable.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Assuming.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
No, no, you can't assume you got like, you know
nothing grounds. You start from ground zero every day. A big,
big shout out to the best producer in the world,
Marco Artiez over there. We got to podcast. Man, got
a big shout out. Did this show? Yeah? Yeah, well

(20:38):
it's a great show. It does great and we got
me to do it. Pay you No big shout out
to Jeff over Herezala to Zala brewing. That's where you
want to go if you find that brew forty two
right behind me. No, we just introducing people as we throw.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
Freshing after winn after a loss. Yeah said again, it's
refreshing as.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Yeah said again, the same thing.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
Doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
That I was increduble. I gotta get that one, that
one I need that. I need a poster with me
smiling with that in writing somewhere. That was good. That
was good.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Have you seen the cut of Daily? Yeah, you need
to be wearing his clothes though.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
We were back so we were office and defense. We
cover special teams, which is let's go now, I want
to go. I want to go to offense. We do
defense last.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Out of the box. How do you look? What did
you think when Jordan Love ran out there to start?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Okay, okay, let's pass boat Jordan Love. That's what we needed.
Nice quick pass, getting involved, get him feeling good about himself.
All downhill after that. Down here isn't good or bad.
Only team that we talk about going downhill with no

(22:13):
breaks on Detroit. Okay, other than everything else is bad
all down here? That Roy, it just it just feels
like I'm giving you my two cents. Your best threat
is eight.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Fact you say, using leroy, if.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
You was on defense and eight been running wild all year,
loan like he been like he been running right, and
you know every situation he getting the ball? Where you at?
Are you too deep? Are you? Are you running line?
Screaming somewhere?

Speaker 2 (22:56):
It's not a trick question man, right, even even Miles
I love him. Uh, why are they throwing the ball
because the last play, Jacob's got fourteen yards or something
up the middle. I said, oh, they'll come back to it.

(23:20):
Because Chicago couldn't stop the run.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
We should have the game plan should have been, if
eight's gonna be up, we're gonna use him right to
get ahead, to stop swapping guys outright, or to do
play action.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
So that's why I'm getting too right. So you know,
as a defensive player, Eight's to guy right, he's the
main guy. Yes, so pro use him, and he's what
I mean, use him. Let's take that thing in there,
pull it out, let's go play action past. I got
leader word he's sucking in and he because they already
know eight nine times out getting it. I live with

(24:02):
my safety on the top back d because I'm giving
them that, but I ain't giving them eight. Then Tavia
Wicks uh, Jayden reed all y'all, especially when Watson out
Watson gone, ain't nobody getting deep but you don't do

(24:23):
I'm gonna go play action pass so I can suck
them jokers up and try to get in that mid
in front of safety, behind the linebacker. Gotta be over. Yeah,
So Roy, let's do a little bit more play action
pass with eight.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Go give it to him out, but you can.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
But either way, trying to get Jordan Love going, So
I'm trying to use him up. If I already got
you up and it ain't a run, let's let's do
play action off of that. And they got that, they
gotta be in there. I just I have ever seen
to me, I thought, Matt Lafleur, you're talking about scheming jokers.
He always should scheme guys open. But it just feels

(25:08):
like the last two weeks, I don't see that kind
of creativeness, creativeness out of Matt Lafloor no more.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
The offense is good when he's when you got eleven
moving around.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
They got him moving around. He said, I need to
play better. He disappeared over the last three four weeks. Roy,
you ain't even got him on your fancy team. You
can't even talk about him.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
We gotta get into you.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Have you got Jake Read on your fancy team? No, Mario,
massive producers, Jake Read on your fancy team. He's no.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
But fantasy is different because they don't have a number
one receiver. And we'll talk about that though, we'll talk
about that. We'll talk about it. But he he was
scoring a lot of touchdowns. His characters sometimes involved, sometimes
he's not.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
They gotta figure out the continuity of the offense. M
even uh getting it because everybody knows the tight end
screens coming. It wasn't working. You hit too many hit
the tight end screen. People knew that chic was waiting on.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
These dudes wouldn't even get out of their back pedal.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
No, it was a squad.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
They're sitting on that. You play that all day long. Defense,
You eat that up. You'd be doing this. Yeah, I
used to do that. Get right? How you doing like that?

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Like that?

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Yeah? And put the two fingers. I wish y'all would
do that again and be be skipping. You don't skip
no more. Because he's too old. But he'd be skipping
like you.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
And then roll on my back karaoke. Ain't that roll
on my knee?

Speaker 1 (26:58):
Be nice to my knees. They would. I think the
offense is going through.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Kind of a change because the sweet when they lost
on fourth down, Boy, it was allowed.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Fourteen three though, Roy, that's what you run.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
But the weakness is up the middle, and that's how
thirty one scored. Yeah, win in the middle, popped outside score.
I like thirty one.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Yeah, but see but that wasn't no reverse though.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Oh no, no, I'm just saying you went in the middle
of h.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Fourth and three that that was just you know, that
was the call.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Play and then back got when it's time to h
I'll touch on it later. But you gotta make a decision,
be all right with it. Just make it.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
Let me get you, just make it. Let me get
to this. I heard a lot this yesterday on my
postgame show. But I know I do a post game
show on ESPN.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Is that after right after too, that's.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Wrong, right after they're wrong, So you get the fresh
Lero Liro. We had people, We had people.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Even the most extreme.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
I'm about to take it this so nes to talk
about right now, Liro, we had people waiting for ninety minutes.
They were hot. Man, that's an hour and a half.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Gold Package Game two.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
They want to call hour and a half waiting. We
had five p ive been waiting ninety minutes to get
on this. Now here's a nonsense we would get in
last night. Gods you starting with Leak Willis, I'm talking
about I'm gonna hand it over to Leroy ship Malik

(28:49):
Willias be starting over, Jordan. Look, can you talk to
you the pack, talk to the Package and tell him
why please? I can't do it no more. I ain't
doing no more. Maybe they were saying I can't do
it no more for.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
The Bears game, just sit love and start.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Okay, I bout that, But I don't think that was
saying I can't do it no more.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
I don't think they was, because I remember long time
ago doing preseason one of my best friends in the
world and who I think please tag him because I
told him Matt Hasselback. Okay, to me, it's the smartest

(29:32):
guy to talk to football wise. The guy's brilliant. Taught
me a lot and I'm older than him by the way.
But he's just a refreshing young mind. When I'm surprising,
you're not coaching. But I remember in preseason, boy, he
looked like bart Star. They wanted Brett Faire. Brett Faire

(29:56):
benched for Matt Hasselback. I said, you know what I'm
not People got their opinions that you know, it's okay,
but when it's raw like that, I just don't understand
people thinking the longevity of what makes me feel better
at now is to do something I want instead it

(30:20):
was good for the family or for the ten. So
put that to the side. So when Jordan Love hurt
the elbow or whatever, I'm thinking, did he really need
to play? I mean, I'm thinking Watson, he really need
to play. I just so you would not played any

(30:43):
of those guys. And I said this before the game.
I wouldn't have played nine. I don't even played eight.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
So let me just say this to say that, oh, George,
you would have been better off with the effort that
you put out there to not to play on Yeah.
And if you lost like that because the effort that
you put out there, you should not have played. Yeah.
But I need you to see Roy and they ain't
the coach they do what they want to do, and
now on the team. But as a fan form player

(31:15):
all that good stuff, I felt like, I need you
to see the Packers get get some four momentum. I
got you. They didn't look good. I mean they they
hadn't looked good. Yeah, in a while, Jordan Loves been
kind of shaky. He hadn't looked like Jordan Loved to
me in a while. He looked he looked a little unsettled,

(31:35):
like he's just he overthrowing balls, under throwing balls. And
he did the same thing other night. I mean, you
got Muskraade that wire though we almost threw it in
the dirt. I mean, he just don't look right. So
I thought, Okay, if we're gonna play, oh boy, then
let's play it for the half. Let's let's move, let's
let's just That's what I thought it was gonna happen
right away. Boom, he throws throws the pass. Okay, that's

(31:57):
what we want to see. Get him in the group
finished strong. Yeah, but it didn't happen. And now you're
going into the playoffs and the accuracy part of it.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
And now I suggest everybody listen to his press conference
he'll tell you himself that he's off. Yeah, but we
figure out because we're trying to get to or are
we asking too much for youngest team in the league?
Are we asking for too much? Should we be like
glad we're in the playoffs? Win in with the babies

(32:27):
for two years? Like we're had a schedule of what
you used to say, uh, when you rebuild during the
season instead of tearing it down and all this because
Aaron Rodgers is gone, you know him, have to go
draft a quarterback then and start over next year.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Jordan will be in year three.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Then you'll see growth. But then you see people at
boat Nicks put up numbers like that for Denver and
then you see Jalen Daniels in Washington got his team
in the playoffs and the look.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
But what's what does CJ Strial look like this year? Off?

Speaker 2 (33:03):
That's the sophomore slump, That's what I think it is.
So it maybe George sophomore slump, That's what I think
it is. But no interceptions the last seven games.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
That's and I said this before the season.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Last seven games.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, but I said this before the season started. It's
the adjustment.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
I remember you said the training wheel thing.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Remember the train if you didn't want to hear that
because they don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
I didn't.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
They want here, they want hear none of the training
will Mark. Even when I talked about the training wheels,
training wheels off, she got him on he don't know
what he don't know. So last year was last year
you had all off season, all these defensive coordinators look
at that film. Yes, and now they got to come
up with another game plan this year. Oh boy, just

(33:48):
been a little uncmfortable at the offense. I think changed
without Aaron Jones and is Josh Jacobs that's a big
change for this offense. Yes, you don't think it is,
because Josh is having a really great year. I mean, shoot,
did he just break Paul Warning record? Of course, what
was what nineteen sixty four, nineteen sixty two?

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Eight straight games with a touchdown?

Speaker 1 (34:09):
That record is stud I mean, that's how great was
season Josh Jegos having. So I'm good with the trade.
I want I think I A'm good. I'm good with
the trade. But that changed your offense the look of it,
so it don't look the same to me. He was
a free agent, so.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
They they signed the best running back available, and they
signed the best safety available. But back to the offense. Uh,
the receivers. Do they need another receiver?

Speaker 1 (34:41):
You're asking me? Yes? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Could I want to cut that?

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (34:44):
How you want to acquire that receiver?

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Draft? It feels like it feels like you can draft one, right,
all these guys are all these Your boy from Florida State,
Uh with Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
His name's second round? Yeah, we got Jamie Reed the
second round.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
I always get a good what's the uh? But he
was first round niggler from Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Yes, that kid with the Giants.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Oh boy, Malik neighbors. So it feels like the Seattle Yeah.
So it feels like yeah, Enigma, So it feels like
you can get one in the draft.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Enigma, same him two same family, Yeah, same family.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
I can't do the apologize family if I said wrongs
Nigma Smith, what bad man? So feel like you can
get some. But now as you since you said that
Tyreek walks out of Miami, I just saw on my
on my social that there are five teams that he

(35:58):
want to go to a Green Bay one to five.
Do you want Tyreek cup in here? Oh?

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Hell no? Okay, I don't want nobody to quit on
his team.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
And you know with Tyreek, he got to catch all
the balls. I'm good, okay, yeah, now, but yeah, I
think they need a receiver. But I think they need
a number one. But the receiver they get I think
should have speed. They need a speed receiver. I like
Christian Watson. I think he adds a dimension to the
team that they don't have. When they don't have them.

(36:31):
They jump all those routes because nobody else can get deep.
They ain't afraid of nobody else, so nobody else can
open it up. So he's hurt a lot. No fault
of his owners. Dude always in shape, in great shape. Yeah,
but he's just got some guys just get snaked back
with injuries and he just can't stay healthy.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
When you go down and nobody hits you, I'm the
worst one.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Lero. You notice the ac when you do it like that,
it's got to catch that too, man. Yeah. I did
mine like that. Yeah see, I did mind like that.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Lee Roy in Detroit, y'all fast people on the think
I got it.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Want to make a cut was ten yards? Dude was
ten yard down the field. I'm gonna try to make
a cut. I made it cut on my left knees.
Just blew the whole thing out trying to catch No.
I was trying to make a move on him, trying
to do my fat behind.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
You are never fast.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
You mind telling you one thing? My mind is telling
me no, my body.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
I want to say this a p s A for
eleap Thursday podcast as Gary Ellerson reference, I see it
a little bit different. I ain't doing no more babies.
You were a veteran, yes, uh.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
No, three hill.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
But you you thought about, for example, a guy who
was stuck in Denver and went to Cleveland, Jerry Judy.
This guy was a pro bowler. I don't even know
his quarterback, what quarterback? The guy just need a new
he had reset.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
They want want him.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
They thought he was just a guy with that and
so it may have to be through a trade or
a free agency because bringing DeVante Adams back wouldn't work,
I don't think, because you know that ship the bridge
is just yeah, tumbling down that that ship. Because DeVante

(38:41):
would have been perfect. But Jordan's got to have a
bill out when I get stuck, hit the ball out,
show him.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
And you can throw it to him in double coverage. Yes,
can you know.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
Just so yeah, I think in all see that if
you want to involved and you can keep developing your
young guys, the Wixes of the world and all these guys. Uh,
I mean watching out, but we don't know what's injured. Right,
He'll be back at some point, right, But you know,
Romeo and you can keep all those guys. But I

(39:22):
think this may be the last year of the baby experiment,
the youngest team.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
Yeah, he may try to go get some veterans. You
need to ask some veterans because you're only, like I
think you're stacked two.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
Players away from dominating it.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
What position they need?

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Wide receiver would be one, okay, whatever, Safety have to
be the other one.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
They got one already. They got plent safety. They're printing safety. Leroy,
they got plent safety. You got, you got X back.
Then you got Evan Williams coming back, You got bullet
I mean, they they printing safety. You got have.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
You gotta sprinkle some grown man in there. It's okay
to develop and play, but if you're trying to win
a Super Bowl, you you need guys back there that
I don't need.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
To tell you what to do, but I'm gonna tell you.
I'm gonna tell you what I.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
Think Linebacker would be another one.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
I'm gonna tell you what I think they need that
that will help the safety in the corner. They needed
a pass ruses that gonna give you twelve sacks a year.
That's that's all you need.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
Everybody want that.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
They get it.

Speaker 2 (40:33):
Team.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
You don't worry about safety or corner. Don't worry about it.
A specialists. They need a passworts gonna give you twelve
sacks a year, printed like money, let me have it.
No you even think about it. You gotta make the
trade for somebody. They don't have that.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
Yeah, they gotta make the trade.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
And corners, I'm with you, wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
And corner is another one. Corner, But I.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Think you your your your you got well if y'all
here can't come back obviously, yes, yeah, cause you're down
back them up starts reacting where you're gonna have to. Yeah,
because Jare's another guy, he's been hurt and you just
a lot like Washington's sorter kind of but you're getting
ready to go to the playoffs. A J. Brown and

(41:18):
them and who the other by they got receiving smashed
sick fast. Dude six did you go to Alabama too.
Is it is that Davante Smith or name wide receiver
from Davante Smith. Yes, that's the death charted Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Six with the Alabama number six.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
Yeah, he fast.

Speaker 2 (41:36):
You don't say his name when you like A J.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Brown's eleven. Yeah, you know what's coming.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
When you when they give you just your number.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
You don't need a name on the back, Mario, you
know what's coming. No, you don't need a name Smith six.
Now both of them are a little banged up though, Yeah,
but they ready.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
But we got a recipe for Philip real quick. But
the wrap up the defense. Let's go to that last
drive now, okay, So they kick it off and they
get it. The Bears get it on the twenty I
think right like the twenty. So you think, okay, clock okay,

(42:17):
after mc mahon's making amazing kick, I mean cut through
the wind man, I think it was amazing. Excitement is
going fifty something seconds, like, okay, let's do this clock
thing now and real quick. We okay, we're thinking about
keeping him in the pocket. They got one time out.

(42:39):
He rolls right, I rolls right left. I'm sorry on
which it was. He's about to throw it away and
I think fifty five Yeah, one of my favorite players
in it. That gives them fifteen yards.

Speaker 1 (42:53):
Yeah, now I watched I watched the whole game again today.
I don't even know why I did that.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
That gives them fifteen yards.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
That's the stuff that you gotta either you just gotta
let him go.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
But that's the way.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
That was the last disc effort for here to grab him.
So I thought, like, man, that's that's no man's land.
You either get gotta let him go, dive at him,
but you can't grab.

Speaker 2 (43:18):
You can't grab them, and they're looking at it now.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
You you wide op when you're an over field and the.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
Referee did not have a good game by a stretch.
But I don't really like to blame them. They're gonna
miss some.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
Calls, it is, but you have to make that call. Though. Yes,
it's kind of obviously.

Speaker 2 (43:34):
I didn't know why Packer fans were upset with that one.
They forgot break the law. They're gonna give you a ticket.
You talk your way out, so that brings them up. Okay, fine,
clock still going, Yeah, you really need a sack. That's
how you just destroyed because you got receivers all the
way down, so they're moving the ball. And then what

(43:57):
I thought was fantastic something I said last week, call
the time out and they did that.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Okay, he's sure everybody on the same page.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Yeah, here's the scenarios.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
Okay, give it to This is what we're gonna call.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Our analytics say that they can get the ball and
spike it twelve seconds. It's fifteen seconds. Their kicker is
about I don't know what his sweets about is, but
I my guys was out there, like Garat said, we
know where he was making them from, So make him

(44:36):
kick a sixty, you know, fifty eight. As soon as
they hit Chicago saying hey, man, listen, they're playing. Hey Caleb,
if they play a like a hell Mary defense, just
throw a slint. Give yourself up. When they give yourself up,

(45:00):
it should be one second left. That's the conversation on
Chicago side, right. I don't know what the Packers side.
I don't know because my coach would have told me
if I if a guy catch a slim, I ain't
getting up. I'm gonna reach at the ball or whatever,
like I'm trying to tackle in but I'm not finna.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
Moven throw them down.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
Yeah, just keep them up. You're talking about two second
the clock going on.

Speaker 1 (45:27):
Run.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
You gotta tell these guys this all the time. And
Fred Shermer, well, he don't like to give. First of all,
you don't like the three man rush, right, he rushed.

Speaker 1 (45:42):
For all the time because you give me too much time.
Always rushed for especially and you know what.

Speaker 2 (45:47):
We started doing gat We used to bring casino blitz.
They don't have time to do all that. So my
thing is, at this point, it's a lot of panic
going on of what we should do, what we should
do when you should be calm.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
You know what, I.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
Got a whole folder here on Fridays back in the nineties,
we work every situation. Fourteen thirty six, fourteen twenty one,
we wired. I bring up fourteen twenty six when they're
going to Philly.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
That was a terrible game. But every situation we worked
on on Friday. Yes, all situational, absolutely everything. What they need,
what we need, right, Okay, you got two time out
this and those ones against ones right, and and situation
Lee Roy knows what you album? Do you be on
the sideline? Yes, like a game. It's like a game. Yeah,

(46:39):
they called out, you got you gotta change the line. Yes, yes,
don't be over there talking to your buddies. Now, no,
got this situational and then I say, hey, god just
got hurt, right, you gotta go in.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
But yeah, if you're not paying, not gonna know, you're
not gonna know what to do, and that can give
us the game. Right, we practice every scenario, right, so
oh I know what to do here. But yes, yes,
sometimes you know what to do and they get paid too.

(47:12):
Like when they hit t O right down in the
middle and Sharper, that's the only guy you gotta watch.
Watch t O down in the middle. Steve Young almost.

Speaker 1 (47:24):
Failed, you did holding the ball in left? Then Sharp
go intercept it. It's a ball game.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
But if you don't have a plan, because it's going
to happen again, you're gonna have Philly maybe like that,
what are we going to do in this situation when
we kick a feel goal? Philly has so many timeouts
and they're driving. What's calls? What personnel do they have in? Okay,

(47:53):
they got five wide receivers in they got three wide receivers,
a tight end and running back.

Speaker 1 (47:57):
What's our best calls?

Speaker 2 (47:59):
My staff gonna give me all those calls when I'm
putting that little set.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
Up to my face. How they be doing I don't
know why.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
I don't care if you read my lips. I'm gonna
run my best stuff, you know what. That's what everybody knows.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
But right, here's the thing of it is you already
knew that going into the game because you did it
on Friday, Yes, or you did it. We did it
on Saturday again, walked through Saarday, haven't walked through? Yeah,
breakfast walk again? Do it again. That's wen't to do

(48:33):
it like a convention center, hotel room somewhere there. But yes,
and that that didn't happen. Coming down to we need
to get our top five situated at no. Top five.
You don't want to We gotta do one more top five.
We have to teams.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
That's left, yes, yes, but seven on both sides.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
Two teams are out. Yeah, well I may not be
yours though. Yeah, you're gonna be surprised. We made mine.
You want to go first whenever, Jeff got to look
it out real quick. We give some time.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
But here's the thing about it, and I'm gonna tell
people this. There's this is literally this literally no favorites
in the playoffs and give one's girls one versus one.
Don't always go to the super Bowl. No, no, just

(49:30):
cause you're a seventh seeds car, we don't determine that.
You determine that. But it's always a Now you're gonna
play a common opponent on the NFC side and the
AFC side. So that's when people that, well, just because
you number two, you gotta go to Philly?

Speaker 1 (49:48):
So what.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
Because I know the Bears fans are happy, but they're
gonna be watching me potatoes Saturday.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
This week, Mario Yo, our top five brought to you
by Brista Dumart.

Speaker 4 (50:04):
I'm glad you, said of rating restaurant down on five
O nine East Erie Street.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Pizza Fire, great food, great people down there.

Speaker 4 (50:13):
Definitely go down there there carrying Lee vodka, save myself
a nice little bloody we can. Great pizza, best pizza
in town, he said to uh, Chef Ramses and Shannon team.
There fantastic people over there.

Speaker 2 (50:28):
Uh So the top the top seventeen is Jeff Denver's
Top five Denver, Pittsburgh. What are you doing the job
just telling the seventeenth?

Speaker 3 (50:39):
You know you want me to pick Pittsburgh number five.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
No, no, no, no, I'm just letting her know.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
He got what's your top five, Joe.

Speaker 3 (50:47):
Mine's gonna be number five. Eagles, four Ravens, three Chiefs,
two Bills, one lines quick, just get it real night
and going back to real quick, going back to your
receiver comment, I think they should go after a veteran, well,
a veteran that would help teach love to me. A
guy like Godwin, I think would be a good guy
to go after.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
His gonna be freezing, broke up though. You gotta be
on the field though. I agree with that, but you
gotta play.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
But if you need a guy like that that needs
a new change, thin you.

Speaker 1 (51:18):
Yeah, that was a good one guy man for Godwin.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Yeah you yeah, man, need to look that in.

Speaker 1 (51:25):
Go ahead, Garrett. Number one, gotta go with them Lions, okay,
Number two, Uh going with them, Eagles, number three, Uh
them Kansas City Cheese. Number four. I'm torn at four.

(51:47):
H giving them Vikings at four. You're ready, No, I'm
good on them. And number five, I got to doing them. Five.
Oh you did a five. I got ahead.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
I thought you picked five. Take your time because it's okay.

Speaker 1 (52:08):
Number five. I'm between the Rams and the commanders.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
Which one you can do both? Did a little line
between them? You put a little line.

Speaker 1 (52:19):
Give me the commanders at number five? Okay, sorry, packed fans,
what you got?

Speaker 2 (52:26):
Why you apologize?

Speaker 1 (52:27):
You just lost to the Bears. You might put them
in yours and though, go ahead, don't judge me.

Speaker 2 (52:34):
You want me to go?

Speaker 1 (52:36):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (52:36):
Number five me Denver? Okay, But the thing about five
and one is they're not going to blow Kansas City out. Okay,
I mean so the thirty eighth and nothing, I wasn't that,
but the hot teams to me start the conversation. So

(52:57):
and they knocked Pittsburgh out losing four straight game. So
one is Denver, and four would be Buffalo because I
think Buffalo is gonna turn it into Buffalo sooner or later.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
They always do.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
They play great in the rough regular season, getting the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
The hunt run.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
Yeah, and three would be Detroit. Somebody gonna make them
pay for doing all this going for it. Somebody gonna
make them pay.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
They're just are well. Ain't nobody gonna make them pay
in the first round because they gotta buy Yeah, and uh.
Number two is Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
Baltimore who has the MVP, by the way, and Kansas
City always gonna be one. Can't nobody beat Kansas City
in the playoffs. It's just they haven't done it for
two years, and I think they do on track to
win their third super Bowl in the row.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Before we in the conversation, I love Jeff. Jeff, what
do you got going over to dollars this week? Anything
new going?

Speaker 3 (54:09):
No, let's get some people into the playoff game, start
promoting it, try to get some hype going, and love
to get people in pack the tapper and have some fun.

Speaker 2 (54:17):
So like, like you're on Facebook, I'll go to the
information on Facebook.

Speaker 3 (54:22):
